(Pikmin fans may notice I'm using the art for baldy long legs and calling it beady long legs. They're functionally identical, and there's no modern render of the beady long legs, even though it has a much better name in isolation.)

Beady long legs are enigmatic organisms- they are organic and appear insectile, but completely lack orifices, gaining energy and perceiving the world through unknown means. They have an attraction to valuable and magical objects, and are capable of unhinging their central body to grab and store them and carry them away. Beady long legs are aggressive creatures, and will violently stomp at anything moving in its range of perception. They are a menace of larger caves, aggressively hunting down travelers and whisking away their valuables.

Despite being quadrupeds, beady long legs seem to have an affinity for spiders and do not treat them aggressively. They often associate with ettercaps, and can be quelled and controlled by priestesses of spider deities, who use them to carry and collect goods. The creation of beady long legs is unknown to naturalists, though they are almost certain to be an artificial species of some kind.
