the new mob episode was everything I wanted and more from the alien arc but also I really wish they would have cut out the weird part with Inukawa and the aliens like. The rest of the ending would have been fine without that but but okay 😐

If I’d arrived yesterday, he told me, I would have met his other dog, his favorite, a pitbull-mastiff mix named Kujo (like the Stephen King canine, but with a K, like Karl). But Kujo had been found dead that morning under a neighbor’s house, and Karl, sentimentally, had carried the body to his wheelbarrow and cut the dog’s head off with a hacksaw. The fireworms would now eat it to the bone. Then Karl would mount Kujo’s skull on the roadside façade of his home, next to the whitened horse pelvis and steer’s skull—the latter appointed with the ocular prostheses of two red Ping-Pong balls. “There was an open space there, so,” he shrugged. The house was a two-story clapboard, painted blue and sea-foam green, but the oceanside façade was a massive dead coral reef. Though there were four bedrooms in the house, Karl lived partially underground in a cavern he’d cut into the rock beneath the structure. He had no furniture save a bed on the stone floor, one foot above sea level. “Those worms are crazy,” Karl went on. “Should be ready tomorrow.” He meant his dog’s skull. “Lots of things like that around here.” He said he’d spotted one of the island’s infamous snakes, a corn snake, the night before. I tried not to look around the yard. I didn’t want to see that wheelbarrow. I focused on Karl. The crust of last night’s sleep held to his lashes. He projected anxiety and calm, agitation and confidence. He was enduring me, and he was equipped to do so until the end of time. His voice was high-pitched and he spoke through clenched teeth. He sounded like the smartest child in the room, intriguing but also menacing—Big Bird on MDMA.

Robins and other Flightless Birds by Ionaperidot

This one is about an alternate-universe Bruce adopting his children inter-dimensionally from situations where they have no Bruces of their own. The sequel fics are also amazing.

Under a Parent's Wing by IzzyMRDB

This is one of my favourite fics. I've read it three times since discovering it a few months ago- its so heart-warming and heart-wrenching and perfect. It's about a baby Timmy attending Dick's gymnastics classes and eventually telling Dick about his (lack of) parents. Here are a few gems from this one!

According To Our Light by byrambles

This fic covers some very dark themes, so be sure to read the tags before jumping into it. That said, it's a beatifully written piece and I really love the character relationships within it!

A great fic where Dick, Jason and Rim adopt each other as brothers on the streets of Gotham before Bruce ever encounters them!

hello, I just followed for your orctober stuff and scrolled through some of your blog and wanted to ask, what is guild wars 2?

OOOH BOY HERE I GO! ahem.

Guild Wars 2 is a high fantasy MMO, similar to maybe Final Fantasy Online. Guid Wars as a series is about as old as World of Warcraft, but has a much smaller fanbase; mostly because the company behind it, ArenaNet, seems to be allergic to advertisements (it's gotten better since the last two expansions).

These days, the core game is free, with only the expansions costing money. Well, some expansions, as they just throw in older expacs for free now. Even if you start with a free account, you can technically buy an upgrade by just... using ingame currency, which is a WILD concept to me.

Most notable features of the game are probably the character customization, free dyeing of armor, and a few thousand unique armor and weapon skins. Players often joke that the true endgame of GW2 is fashion (and they are RIGHT goddamnit). All five playable races are so ridiculously detailed in lore and design, it's incredible. Sylvari for example are not plain elves, they are full on plant constructs that grow from fruits on the mother tree. Asura are not just gnomes/goblins, they are a highly educated society of geniuses that would openly strive for world domination if it werent for their inherent bureaucratic tendencies.

The mounts in GW2 are among the best you will find anywhere, so much that World of Warcraft just copied some for their Dragonflight expansion.

Guild Wars 2 has a medium sized active player base, smaller than WoW or FFXIV, but they are an amazing community. We have veteran players, including me, who routinely patrol the starter maps to offer advice and maybe some healing to newbies (supported by the ingame mentor system). You might receive random mail from players gifting some cake. There's festivals, community parties, role playing, fashion contests, races and minigames.

If you are a seasoned MMO player, GW2 offers raids and the smaller strike system, which is being constantly expanded. Extreme MMO experts might find the game a bit flat, but that's only superficial. For beginners, I'd say the story is beatifully written. You can explore the open world, meeting players along the way (every map holds around 50-80 player at a time). You can choose any class and complete any content, including endgame. Any class, any race, (almost) any playstyle is viable, and nothing about your build is permanent, you can adjust your whole build on the fly.

Aside from the obvious MMO parts, GW2 also has structured PvP (5 vs 5 players) and the so called World vs World, which is a large scale week-long epic battle of three teams of around 50 players on each side (which btw is not as draining on the CPU as you'd think)

If you plan on giving it a try, I'd be more than happy to give you a more detailed overview of the game. This little chaotic hellhole of an MMO is very dear to my heart <3

once again with the unpopular opinion: arcade draco's design is better. while fgo's version is pretty and cool it's definitely a downgrade for me. Ik that more detail doesn't equal better but holdy shit kotetsu yamanaka totally snapped hard with the arcade draco design.

She looks like she is the blueprint for what the beasts are supposed to look like. She's animalistic, menacing & vain, a pretentious whore if you will, and i love it. The head ornaments (for lack of better words) are freaky and I've never seen anything like it before, absolutely iconic. my interpretation of the colour palette: red because she loves to spill/ bathe in the blood of her enemies, gold for royalty vanity & pride, dark purple for malicious intent. while i'm in general not a fan of excessive fanservice, the promiscuous look fits her perfectly, and it's done beatifully. i mean she's the whore of babylon after all.

those epic long nails/claws that the fgo version lacks which is honestly a shame.

do I have to mention her facial expression - literally foxy; the sassy pose, titties provocatively spilling over the golden corset while black rose petals are falling around her poetically... peak character design.

Thank you for putting on this fun lil event! I wanna tell you about my polyship with Satoru and Suguru!

When I first met them they were very much already together and I actually wrote off all their flirting with me as either just being how they are or as them teasing me. When they realized I was oblivious/refusing to believe they were interested they eventually had to just point blank as a pair tell me they were both interested. Broke my poor lil brain but I shyly and gradually came around to the idea.

It's a very natural feeling relationship where we all flow together. Shoko once comments that I seem to be the softness the two of them were missing. Satoru helps me come out of my shell and indulge my silly side without worrying so much about what others think. He also never makes me feel like i'm too much and i'd like to think i do the same for him. With Suguru i'm given a quieter sort of security, a person whom i'm able to simply exist with. Lots of late night conversations that go into the early hours. Both help me to feel more confident and safe. (Also there's lots of playful teasing, how couldn't there be with the two of them. But they always try to not take it to far and apologies happen if they do.)

I hope this is okay. I wanted to make sure it was enough but not too much since i actually have a ton of head canons for my ship with the two of them.
