"To be in love is to fill your soul with beauty, you don't need another human being for that.. you can love your morning coffee, you can fall in love with a sunrise.. you can adore flowers, oh how the time flies. You can be in love with someone and they could never know, you can love art, books, food, even your fav show.. you can love the color pink or red or orange, you can love who you are too, even if your pages are torn. You can love sunsets and walks in the park, you can love puppies and kittens, or just sitting in the dark.. there are so many things to love in this world, fill yourself with them and you will find your happiness.. look at the world with open eyes and you will find that so many things impress. Such is the way of beauty, and when you find the beauty in yourself.. that is the most beautiful of all."
Self love isn't just about loving yourself.. it's loving the world around you too - eUë
One thing is certain, and I have always known it — the joys of my life have nothing to do with age. They do not change. Flowers, the morning and evening light, music, poetry, silence...
there is so much beauty in living with friends. families you choose, do groceries with, cook and eat together. they seamlessly enter into your life in ways you don't notice - you turn the geyser on before you know they will shower, they say the name of your eye drop when you can't recall it at the store. you know all the little quirks of their family members you have never met. they see you at your best and your worst and know when to give you a hug and when to let you be. the individualistic culture today makes owning a private home of your own a goal to achieve, but i think there is so much joy in building one with the people you love and are loved by.
Last year, I joined a local artist group and was able to sell some art each weekend all summer, but as the spring comes now we get a nice opportunity to display our work at an exhibition with the theme 'My Creative Identity'.
Honestly, I struggled quite a bit for months trying to come up with something that wasn't too difficult or ambitious yet still had that feeling. I had many ideas and iteration, but none of them really clicked. They were all big, massive and ambitious. And at first I wanted to traditionally paint it too. That is, until my friends finally helped me find that 'thing', and I went ahead with it. It's nothing really revolutionary, but I wanted to explore the microfauna that a lot of people never pay attention to. Life goes on even when you're gone. The grasses, the moss, the pines losing their needles and new ferns springing up, mushrooms growing at the presence of bone and the critters who explore and continue living whether we know about it or not. It's really what has been driving my creativity lately, so I felt like focusing on the small instead of a grandiose picture would be a nice fit.
I probably would have done it in a different way if I didn't leave it for the last 2 weeks before the deadline, but I'm happy with it despite the mass hysteria printing failures. And I hope you like it too :)
to be touched and caressed, to be cradled and embraced, to soar high and dive deep with them into places you haven't been and feelings you even haven't felt and seen before your whole life...
the sky will never be the same as it was just a second ago and your favourite music will never be the same as it was when you first discovered it and the people you know will never be the same people as they were just a moment ago because people change and things change and that's why life is so special; everything changes so often that we just have to cherish what we can, hoping to grab every bit left before it inevitably fades and we get to move on and make new memories and find new comforts and cherish new things again.
"We as humans worry too much, read into things too much, into things that may never happen! We also live too much in the past, reliving old hurts and grudges.
Life is too short as it is, we need to stop procrastinating and live for the now and be grateful to what we have.
Look to nature, in the natural world nature live in the moment and just get on with the tasks in hand without thinking about it.
Slowing down for a minute and take a moment to study nature, you will be amazed at the happy little lives that they lead and this beautiful happy life is just a breath away if we all just start living in the moment and start acting with our heart and not our head and start doing everything with love! ~ creatively-spirited-cameron
