do you think Sam wondering what Castiel knows Lucifer did to Sam and never knowing fully (how much from the hell trauma did he see? how much did Lucifer reveal while possessing him?) makes trusting Cas almost like. a desperate coping mechanism for Sam. Like what happens if he doesn't.
