Hey. Why do you think Karen Page is a character people seem to hate so much? I’m fairly new to the fandom and I’ve seen people even badmouthing the actress as well, which is awful. I am curious to know what you think about it.
Welcome to the fandom! 💖 I'm so excited for you and I'm super happy that, despite being newish, you're interacting like this. (It took me an embarrassing amount of time to be brave enough to send asks to people lol.)
Also, this is such an interesting question.
I want to address the attacks against Deborah Ann Woll first. No matter how anyone feels about a character, it's absolutely despicable to attack the actor over it. Most of the attacks I've seen have been about her looks, or about her acting abilities. It's fine to critique acting abilities, but looks should be off the table. But even the critiques of her acting abilities aren't actually critiques - they're just, like you said, badmouthing, with little to no analysis. To me, that indicates that they're hating on the actress just because they're emotional (angry or annoyed) over the character.
So why do people get so emotional over Karen?
I think the easiest explanation is: ship wars. Some people struggle to enjoy their favorite ship without tearing down competitor ships. And since Karedevil is one of the few ships that was actually canon (albeit temporarily, but S3 ended with them being pretty flirty again), Karen becomes a huge target.
Another explanation is that Karen appears to be written inconsistently. Personally, I don't think she actually is (except perhaps in The Punisher; I'm not sure because I've only seen S1 of The Punisher). The argument goes: "She loves Daredevil until she finds out Daredevil is Matt, and then she treats it like an addiction, despite being supportive of Frank."
The counter-argument, to me, is clear: she still loves Daredevil, but she hates being lied to and put on a pedestal. Matt did both of those things. Frank (for the most part) did neither of those things. Her issue is with Matt, not Daredevil (which she makes explicitly clear in S3E1, but people still apparently confused on this point). With that in mind, I think she's written consistently in an incredibly nuanced way.
Another explanation is that Karen is a character who doesn't learn from her mistakes. She's rash and reckless and she lies just as much as Matt, and more often than not, people end up dead because of it. Ben is the most obvious and chilling example. Yet even after her actions get Ben killed, and she expresses serious guilt and remorse, she continues to do the same thing. That makes people wonder: is she stupid? Or, worse: was her guilt and remorse only an expression of her personal grief, and not actually the result of evaluating her actions affected Ben?
This, to me, is the most fair critique of Karen, and I sympathize with people who dislike her because of it. I will point out, however, that Matt and Foggy also repeat the same mistakes. It's obvious with Matt; it's talked about less often with Foggy, but I roll my eyes every time he acts like Matt and Karen are being reckless for wanting to operate outside the law - despite the fact that every time they limit their plans to operating inside the law, people end up dead. This makes me wonder: is Foggy stupid? Or does he simply care more about keeping Matt and Karen alive (and out of jail) than he cares about other people dying?
The actual explanation, I think, is that Daredevil is a show about very flawed and surprisingly realistic characters. People rarely shake off old habits and bad ways of thinking quickly. No matter how many times you tell a person that their friends are there for them, they (like Matt) may continue to push people away if that's their coping mechanism. No matter how many times you tell a person to ask for help before doing something alone, they (like Karen) may continue to go rogue if that gives them some feeling of control over their lives. No matter how many times you tell a person that the systems they want to trust are broken, they (like Foggy) may continue insisting that everyone should trust the system if they continue seeing the world through a lens of privilege.
Can it be frustrating to watch? Absolutely. Is it a good reason to hate a character? I'd say no, but I guess that's more subjective. Is it a reminder to all of us to be gentle and patient both with ourselves and with other people when we find ourselves making the same mistakes over and over? I hope so!
I've said before that I sometimes feel self-conscious over the fact that, in my longer stories, a character's growth is rarely linear. It's usually what I think of as a spiral. They make a mistake, they learn from it...and then the stakes rise, and so they fall back on that old mistake again, since it's comfortable and familiar, rather than trying a new approach. Or the character tries to blend the old mistake with the new approach, to varying degrees of success. Sometimes I worry that this feels repetitive, or like the character isn't learning.
But from the comments I've received, people seem to appreciate it more often than not. They resonate with it and relate to it.
So now that I think of it...maybe the root problem is simply that Daredevil doesn't have author's notes telling us why Karen (and Foggy and Matt) are making the same mistake again. 😅
Or maybe people are more compassionate towards characters in fanfiction than on TV? Or maybe people are more compassionate towards the main character than the side character? Or maybe it's misogyny? Or maybe people are just less compassionate towards Karen in particular because she threatens their favorite ship.
Aaaaand this post has come full circle.

CW CSA mention/incest /// (no description, just a question about your take on the owl house)
I was curious to know if this is a repeat behavior for Belos in your take on The Owl House? Did he hurt other grimwalkers/Caleb before Hunter? And if he is motivated by that (why he went after Evelynn)?
If you could,, would you be willing to elaborate on Belos's obsession with Caleb? I don't mean to call attention to the perpetrator at all,, not really asking for his motive,, I want to know where you are coming from with your take on this. It changes the context for me when interacting with your content.
Tumblr media
Okay so as I go into this please know I don’t fuck with incest ships or romanticize them and I think that shit is GROSS!!!!!! Whenever I discuss topics that are dark or taboo, it’s all done for the purpose of a diverse and compelling story because we all know that only fluff does not a good narrative make, and my reasons for writing these things doesn’t come from a place of perversion, satisfaction or gratification. It comes from a place of me healing from my own trauma and for the first time, stepping into writing content that goes outside of my comfort zone.
I think that Philip Wittebane is a fucked up, evil and hypocritical man but he’s also a product of his environment and what we know of his childhood. He thinks what he’s doing is rational, and it’s not. Maybe he knows this! Maybe he doesn’t. I don’t know. But I do think that Belos was very possessive towards his older brother, and had some (obviously unreciprocated and also. Unknown to Caleb) behaviors/thoughts toward him that weren’t ok. I joke about him being “grandpa yandere” but it’s mostly a lighthearted joke about bad tropey things in anime and how it relates to how I view Belos’ character.
Whenever the “yandere” trope comes up in anime it’s mostly portrayed as the character being in genuine love with fluffy romantic feelings, and their violent behavior surrounding it played for laughs, or in worse cases, it’s romanticized as something tragic or beautiful. I’m not here to say that watching something that does this is problematic or it makes you a bad person, but in the real world and around a narrative where the characters have common sense (say, TOH,) this behavior isn’t a good thing at all- it’s abusive. It’s predatory. It doesn’t come from a place of love or affection as much as characters like yuno gasai would like to say- it comes from a place of a need to control and intent to harm without regard for the victim’s feelings, only the aggressors feelings matter. It’s like how rape isn’t about love, it’s about selfishness and control and violence. (This extends to the grimwalkers. It wasn’t about pure intentions or affectionate feelings. Ever.)
I feel like Belos, with his Puritan-Christian upbringing (that we all know sucks) and the shock of Caleb, his only caretaker and the only person he ever cared about abandoning him for someone else (an “evil demonic witch” nonetheless!!) caused a slurry of feelings that make for a complex narrative and a horrifying character who’s actions go on to hurt so many people.
Philip Wittebane is a horrible, complex, formidable and terrifying villain, and he only gets worse when you peel back the layers and start to speculate for yourself.

What is your opinion on soukoku?
As a ship? Yeah, I do ship it.
I don’t like it as a “they’re eachother’s one true love” sort of thing, but as a complicated “I hated you at first, but then I warmed up to you, then I hated you again because you screw me over constantly and we’re being pitted against eachother by our boss, then I started to deeply care about you because of the forced proximity and the fact that we were just two teenagers who were never allowed to really be kids and we can find common ground in that, then you left and I still love you even though I dislike you” sort of thing with some sexual tension thrown into the mix? That’s great. Not the most important relationship in each other’s lives, but there’s still an unbreakeable bond.
I’m of the opinion that Dazai is way more invested in their relationship than Chuuya is, and has been since the moment they met, but Chuuya started to really care about him at like 16-17. I think he still resents Dazai though. Dazai was kind of horrible to him. But I think he has forgiven him for it on some level, like he’s forgiven every other character who has ever wronged him. (Forced proximity does a lot for Chuuya I guess idk)
Sometimes I think I kind of just ship it as one-sided with Dazai being on-again-off-again obsessed with Chuuya, but every time he expresses it Chuuya’s just like “you crazy bitch”. But sometimes I enjoy it as mutual. Depends on the day really.
I don’t think it’s particularly healthy, but I don’t really care. I don’t think ANY of Dazai’s relationships are actually healthy, and the only healthy relationships Chuuya had were Adam and the flags. So it… checks out…
I think the fanon version of them used to be SO out of character like 3 years ago, but ever since Stormbringer came out the fandom got a lot less obnoxious about them. Because they actually have a canon past dynamic to go off of. It’s a lot less cutesy and “they only care about eachother🥺” than it used to be.
I think I enjoy their dynamic outside of shipping because it gives someone who knew Dazai well in the past, who he has wronged, who at the time was generally viewed as a more upstanding person than him, but is now still on the “bad guys” side while Dazai attempts to redeem himself. It’s a really interesting angle. Like, Dazai probably does still think Chuuya’s a decent guy, but the people who he surrounds himself with now in an attempt to be better would probably still view Chuuya as a terrible person. He’s a murderer, he’s incredibly loyal to the guy Fukuzawa and Yosano have intense personal beef with, he bragged about selling out their powerless clerks to an enemy, and he’s all around hostile towards them. And yet, Dazai has always felt that Chuuya was more human than him, more feeling, more loyal and caring. But in the end, Dazai’s putting in the work to “be a good person” and Chuuya’s still stuck right where he was at fifteen, right where Dazai helped trap him. How fun.
Also I just kind of enjoy their bickering, but I think fan content leans too heavily into the Chuuya getting embarrassed thing, because sometimes he is but he’s also either pissed or like passive-aggressively indifferent about Dazai being annoying. You need a real mix of the three. And on that note, I’d argue if anyone’s a tsundere in that relationship it’s Dazai. He’s the one who’s making these grand declarations towards Chuuya and as soon as Chuuya’s like “…what the hell man?” he’s like “never mind. I hate you and I want you dead.” And it’s like… a pattern. Chuuya just gets angry at Dazai for completely reasonable things.
Chuuya’s not the only person I ship Dazai with if you were curious, because Dazai has chemistry with like half the cast. I’m more invested in Chuuya’s platonic relationships in general, but there are a few other ships involving him that I don’t mind.

You can feel free to ignore this if you don't want to answer, but I'm kind of curious about your distaste for the people creating sagawa/majima content. I totally understand not enjoying the concept, but the impression I got reading your fics is that finding light in some of the grittier, bloodier, messier things about rgg are what draws you to the series, and it seems to me like sagawa/majima week is reveling in a similar greyness but for different people and from different angles. Maybe I'm missing something from your perspective or I've misread your intentions?
I’d like to live in a world where most people ship things for their interesting dynamics but that’s not really the case for ships like this one. Not going to generalize since the ship is extremely small compared to something like Borderlands, but a lot of content for this ship is inherently linked to most people using Majima as a self-insert vector because they think Sagawa is hot, forgoing Majima’s character. The other side is a large majority of trauma porn for the sake of trauma porn. I must ask the intentions of most of the fics of this nature, how can we be sure they’re meant to be true and honest explorations of trauma when they’re so baked into exploitation? I’m not getting into a dead dove argument or whatever because to each their own and I’m trying to grow out of fandom fights, but the ship from my point of view is built out of an inherent necessity for the Fifty Shades Of Grey Ship, the one for angst and trauma and hot sexy gay sex or whatever. If I go into a ship tag and such a Large proportion is baked into absolutely reveling in majima’s suffering— besides I view their dynamic as a parallel to that of an abusive parental figure and not of that of a relationship. The language Sagawa uses falls in line with that analysis. You mentioned my work, and you’re right that I care a lot about finding the grey areas of yakuza’s handling of themes and relationships— however I find that in other places. I do not feel comfortable in Majima’s suffering, which is why growth is also a major theme of my work. The ship is antithetical to that, if that makes sense. At least, that’s from what I’ve eyeballed. Either way, the ship is honestly a small ship, it’s not that big of a concern of mine outside of taking the piss out of it for a quick laugh. Sometimes you see a really funny yaoi-died image that makes you raise an eyebrow. Hope this answers the question

Rarepair Tag Game
Thank you @danpuff-ao3 for the tag! This was really fun 😍
Rules: List the top rarepairs that you like outside of your OTP, and why you ship it! (Criteria for what makes a rarepair is up to your own discretion.) tagging anyone who wants to do this, maybe @lqtraintracks and @writcraft if you feel like it?
Harry/Teddy
This ship has been a long-standing guilty pleasure fave ever since I’ve read the amazing When It Alteration Finds by the Hardy champion @lqtraintracks, many years ago. Shipping Starker (MCU) in 2019 made my love for Harry/Teddy come back even stronger because I can trace so many similarities between both ships (besides the obvious age gap). Pretty much like Tony and Peter, Harry and Teddy are war orphans whose paths wouldn’t necessarily cross only they did, and the mentor/father figure combo can lend itself to so many interesting narratives, both tender and angsty which is my ultimate jam. This was my very first ship that didn’t have the antagonist component - on the contrary, this brand of romance is even more heartbreaking because they’re so so seriously devoted to each other. They could have been best friends to lovers if not for the whole godfather+ age gap problematique but it makes the ship even more compelling to me. I love the guilt, the want, the inevitability of them falling into bed then hurting through the complications before finally getting together. My favorite fics include (you guessed it!) everything LQT has written especially Beneath a Foreign Moon and Coming Up for Air, plus the stunning Surface Texture by @the-starryknight.
Ron/Draco
I would never have considered this ship if I hadn’t stumbled upon the brilliant A Fine Foray into Fashionable Fellatio by @wellhalesbells - a masterpiece that remains my all-time favorite Dron fic because it finally opened my eyes to their sexual and emotional potential as a ship on its own, outside of Drarry’s shadow. Ron is such a fascinating character, so very different from Harry in his strengths and vulnerabilities, which makes his dynamics with Draco very unique and 100% different from Drarry fics. It’s a delight to see him as a protagonist, I love his sense of humor and I find the idea of exploring what brings him and Draco together (besides being tall Purebloods with strong feelings for Harry 😏) and what pulls them apart when it comes to wealth/status difference very refreshing and compelling. Lokifan handles it masterfully! Now, I might have come for hung!Ron smut, but I stayed for the feels. In the past year I’ve become more emotionally attached to this ship especially as dragon tamer pals thanks to the superb Dreaming Skies by @sweet-s0rr0w and @tackytigerfic and more recently, to a Dronarry gem that’s really a love letter to Dron, The Sun, Shining Above You by @oknowkiss
Ron/Harry
Young Liv couldn’t care less for “friends to lovers” but now that I’m older and mellow, those dynamics are slowly but surely working their way inside my heart. Gosh, I’m so soft for Rarry! I love the idea of them experimenting together as young and traumatized teenagers, and there’s something poetic and right about Harry falling in love with his first and best friend. My heart aches when I remember that Ron was Harry’s most precious person during the Tournament’s 2nd task, being with each other just feels right. Love me some confused pining, domesticity and slight possessiveness /jealousy for them, especially in a scenario where Draco’s involved (yes I am also here for the Dronarry agenda). My first contact with this ship was through Golden Trio fics and the catharsis of comfort sex during the Horcrux Hunt; it was the easiest thing to slide into Rarry afterwards. Now I see them everywhere and am low-key spreading the word among my most skeptical friends (@writcraft is probably thinking “wdym you were shipping them in my Drarry fic???”). If anyone’s curious about this ship or wants a break from enemies to lovers I strongly rec the darling Sun Kissed by @static-abyss,the angsty Prelude and Fugue by shes_gone, this hot af Kinkuary by iota the exquisite Silhouettes by @sweet-s0rr0w

Thoughts on the legendary cookies?
Okay, this has been in my inbox for a while, I might as well answer this now
I’m just gonna focus on the elemental Ovenbreak Legendaries, since that’s what I was thinking of. I’ll put my thoughts on the others at the end, but it probably won’t be as in depth
Fire Spirit Cookie:
So I got this ask back before Flames of Longing was announced, and I was going to to say that I don’t really care for Fire Spirit, as I know basically nothing about him, but then Flames of Longing came out, and I quite like him there. Yeah he’s a bit of a prideful bastard, but he’s got a heart, and I can’t help but like him.
His Cookie Trial is ass though, I’m so bad at it
Moonlight Cookie:
I also quite like Moonlight Cookie. Granted, I haven’t gotten close to getting through Episodes 15-16, as I’m stuck at the beginning, but from what I have seen from cutscenes and Crunchy Dreams, she seems neat. Hopefully with her (I think) joining the fight against Dark Enchantress Cookie, we’ll be able to see more of her. I’m curious what interactions between her and the Ancients would be like. Also I haven’t finished Odyssey so I don’t know how we got to the Gingerbrave group looking for Moonlight, but I can’t help but imagine Gingerbrave going up to the Ancients and being like “hey guys, I was able to recruit the powerful moon lady! Oh, and her ocean wife!” (I assume that Sea Fairy would probably join if Moonlight was there) while they’re just like “wait how”
But let me tell you, until I got her for myself, I feared her in Arena
Sea Fairy Cookie:
Now, I actually quite like Sea Fairy Cookie, she seems like a nice lady. I just wish I knew more about her. I mean yeah, I know stuff about her, like the Sugarteara stuff and her relationship with Moonlight, but my thing with her is that we don’t know much about her herself, or at least things that don’t relate to Moonlight
I like seamoon, it’s cute, but I feel like it’s one of those ships/relationships where while one of the characters is allowed to have arcs outside of the relationship and about them themselves, but the other is stuck having basically all of their character moments having to do with their relationship, like Jay/Nya from Ninjago and Moxxie/Millie from Helluva Boss. The things about Sea Fairy that we’ve seen, like the Tower of Frozen Waves and the Sacred Pearl, seem to all have to do with her longing for Moonlight Cookie, and it feels like this relationship just defines Sea Fairy. Which sucks because I want to know about Sea Fairy all on her own. She’s the only elemental legendary we’ve met where we don’t know their origin, and sure we know she’s cursed, but we know nothing about that curse. I want to know about her lore, but right now we just don’t have it. But I hope we get it at some point, and Sea Fairy isn’t just relegated to “pining for Moonlight”
Wind Archer Cookie:
I also like Wind Archer well enough, but I also feel like I don’t know much about him. From what I’ve seen (pretty much just he Sherbet story and Truth of the City), I like him, I just haven’t seen enough with him in it. Hopefully that gets rectified in Kingdom, at least assuming he doesn’t show up with Millennial Tree Cookie. Personally I’d like to see him show up in Beast Yeast and become a traveling companion of the Gingerbrave group. That’d be neat to see
Millennial Tree Cookie:
I quite like Millie, he seems very interesting. I feel like I don’t have much to say on him, but I am very curious to find out more about his lore, which I imagine we’ll get. Also I personally like to think that White Lily Cookie comes from his forest, so if that turns out to be true, we’d get some interesting interactions between him and Dark Enchantress. And possibly he could be a reason for White Lily existing outside of Dark Enchantresses, since I mean he is an ancient powerful being
Also I love his trial theme, it’s very relaxing to listen to
Also a random tidbit, but I keep thinking his voice sounds like the voice Charriii5 gave the N’rrgal leader in his EWW Sonic Chronicles video. I don’t know why
I was gonna just talk about the Ovenbreak elementals, but might as well mention Frost Queen too
Frost Queen Cookie:
I like her. I’ve heard people think she’s evil because of how she treats Sherbet’s fate, but like, it’s just a fact of life for her, it’s something she knows is inevitable, why wouldn’t she act like that? Also personally I see the Legendaries as not really being the same as normal Cookies, since they’re like higher beings, so you could see her apathy as having to do with her no longer being a “normal Cookie”, so to speak. And besides, she tells Cotton of a way to possibly save Sherbet, or at least prolong their time together.
But regardless, she seems cool.
Might as well include the other legendary Cookies
Dark Enchantress Cookie is probably my favorite legendary, if only because of her story and character in Kingdom. Her being White Lily really adds interesting depth to her character and I’m very interested to see how they conclude her story
Timekeeper is fine. Personally I don’t think I get the hype. I mean yeah, I know why the hype’s there, but I don’t think I personally feel it. Maybe I’d get it more if I watched their story
Similar feelings towards Black Pearl, where I like her well enough, I just don’t know much about her to really give thoughts, since I haven’t watched her story. Though my feeling towards her are also elevated probably because she’s been an integral part of my team in Kingdom
I like the dragons, though I don’t really know much about Ananas. Did they have a story segment? Because I haven’t seen it. I think in Ovenbreak, Pitaya is my favorite, though in Kingdom I don’t think I like them as much. Maybe it’s because in Ovenbreak they seem more amicable to Cookies, at least from what I’ve seen. But I’d say Longan is second place. I’m curious if they’ll ever add any more dragons (like the North and South Dragons), and if they do, maybe ones with a different theming. Like how the five we have are supposed to be tropical fruits, maybe we could have other dragons that have a different shared base. Though I wouldn’t mind more tropical fruit dragons
Anyways, yeah I think that’s about it

I wanna know more about tiller she’s amazing
Tumblr media
AW! Thank you so much! :') I'm so happy others get a kick out of my sweet pirate girl! I'll put a general summary of her under a read more because I tend to ramble about her hehe! If you have more specific questions after reading, feel free to send those along!! I love talking about her!!! <3
SO! Tiller Jakobie is my character from a DnD 5e pirate-themed campaign I play with my friends, called "Cape Curiosity"! She is a druid, navigator, and, of course, a pirate! She travels with the main party as apart of the crew for The Triumph, captained by Jacques Calico, and accompanied by her new best friends; Aveline Blackwood, Frath Hornraven, and Patrick E'Choux! (And many others!! But those are the DMPC and the other PCs respectively).
Tiller is 23, so young in her pirate career but already excited by all the things ahead of her! She is extremely extroverted, and quick to make friends (both of the human and animal variety). She has a curious and humorous view of the world, and loves exploring and spending time with those she cares about more than anything.
For a little history: Tiller was adopted by her two dads, Jimmy and John (lol). Her dads own a restaurant on Nassau (just guess the name), and Tiller grew up there and helped them with the family business. After taking an interest in sailing and navigation, Tiller joined the Royal British Navy to get out on the open seas and help finance her dads business. Fast forward 3 years, Tiller realizes the Navy fuckin sucks, and mutiny's with the help of some pirate prisoners on her ship!
Those pirate prisoners turn out to be her first pirate crew!!! A crew called The Sea Dragons. Now would be a good time to mention that Tiller has had a ~ mysterious ~ tattoo of a sea dragon on her arm since birth, and her dads claim that it was there when they adopted her. So Tiller joins immediately in hopes of solving this tattoo mystery. (And also The Sea Dragons rule, and are nice to her! And they become her second family! Yay!!!)
Tiller eventually links up with The Triumph crew in hopes of deceiving them into trusting her, and then robbing their ship under Sea Dragon orders. However, she has a change of heart a couple weeks into the mission, as these Triumph people are really cool! AND The Sea Dragon crew has gone MISSING! :0 *gasp* Cue 4 arcs of trying to find them and rescue them from a fate most foul.
SO! That's a VERY quick spark notes version of Miss Tiller! Turns out when you play someone for like 4 years, you... add a lot to their story PSDJGLH:SGKSHGSG cause we didn't even scratch the surface on a couple things, like:
Tiller has a girlfriend named Mayday that she met on a similar deceitful Triumph-like mission. They did the whole friends > enemies > friends > lovers song and dance, and Mayday is staying with The Triumph crew at the time while we search for HER crew which is ALSO MISSING.
ALSO ALSO! Remember how I said Tiller was adopted and had that sea dragon tattoo since birth? Well it turns out there is an ocean deity that is a REAL sea dragon, and created Tiller from the ocean (per request from her dads who wanted a daughter :') So Tiller is more of a water spirit rather than a human, and that's the source of her druid magic as well. AND her mom is a dragon.
And there’s so much juicy story outside of Tiller! The main story arc with the Triumph crew is traveling across the seas in search of 7 keys which will unlock a map that leads to the reader’s greatest treasure.... And I’m sure all of the crew members have different ideas for what they would use that power for.
That's all I got for now! Here's some speedy Tiller fun facts to tide y'all over: - Her birthday is June 8th (she's a gemini) - She was the first to drop to 0 hit points in the party (don't worry she got better) - She is slowly making friendship bracelets for the party - She has a pet jellyfish named Snapchat - Her middle name is Kickflip and she invented skateboarding - Her favorite ice cream flavor is cookies and cream - She is a HUGE gossip - She speaks English and Spanish - She loves singing shanties and having karaoke night with her crewmates

I’m kind of curious since you have such amazingly well-thought out opinions and analysis of Resident Evil.
Do you think any of the characters want to be in a romantic relationship and what kind of relationship do you think they’d have? Is there anything you can see the characters wish they can do such as visit a place or try a new hobby but never got around to it? If it wasn’t confirmed what Claire was in college for, what major do you see her doing?
In the RE2 remake, I saw a screenshot of Chris having a guitar in his office and reading your post about how Chris actually couldn’t read sheet music instead of not being able to read in general made me wonder if Chris ever wanted to learn to play the guitar but he unfortunately never got around to it. I played the Resident Evil Remake and noticed how while Chris wasn’t great at playing the piano, he wasn’t bad either- like he at least knows some knowledge of how to play it. Giving off potential musical talent vibes. I’ve also seen people make different analysis of how Leon wishes for a normal life, mainly wishing to have a relationship- platonic or romantic (supposedly hinted by how he flirted with Hunnigan, tried to invite Shen Mey to dinner- whether or not he was flirting there, and how he tried the same with Claire) but due to his poor social skills and job, he finds it difficult.
This turned out to be way longer than I thought so sorry in advance.
You're gonna get me into trouble with the romance stuff haha. For sake of not trying to piss off the shippers that will probably not even bother reading this before sending me angry message: I'm not telling anyone they can't ship something or trying to bash any ships, and your ship doesn't have to be "canon" or have "canon hints" for it to be valid. Ship what you want to ship (within reason).
Romantic relationships in the RE universe are complicated because nothing is really confirmed. The only canon relationships are ones like Mia and Ethan, Barry and Kathy, etc but that doesn't mean the potential for other relationships between other characters doesn't exist. We only have canon confirmations of a few characters' sexualities, much to the homophobes' dismay such as Nadia being a lesbian and having a house with her girlfriend in San Fransisco. Other than her and like 3 other characters, we've got nothing. Some characters are coded, but I think Capcom would rather reboot the whole franchise than let another character out of the closest so we've got hints and that's about it (but that's a different topic). We also don't know much about the characters' lives outside of what we do in the field. For example, we don't know where Leon is from or what Chris's favorite color is.
I think with a lot of the characters like Leon, Chris, and Jill who are always doing fieldwork, there are probably a lot of hobbies they wanted to try and never got around to. At least for Leon, it doesn't look like he has much free time or many days off, for example. None of the characters I usually talk about seem to be super into the romance thing, but that's hard to dictate because we don't see much of their private lives. For all we know, Jill could be madly in love with some woman that works at the BSAA in a different department but we'd never know that since we pretty much exclusively see the characters on missions. None of them really talk about romance or relationships either, so I don't think they really... care?? If that makes sense?? Like it's not a priority for them, not with everything they have going on at work.
Especially for Leon, I think a relationship would be difficult. Pretty much everything he does is top secret with the government, so he can't really open up much about what he does to anyone unless they were part of the DSO or the government in some way too, which would greatly decrease his dating pool. I imagine it'd be similar for Chris and Jill as well. Any of them being queer would complicate things as well, especially for Leon since DADT was an American government policy. Prior to 2011, if he was found to have any interest in other men, he would've been fired/discharged immediately after the court marshal. Dishonorable discharges in most states are essentially felonies, meaning he'd be disenfranchised and have a very hard time finding another job. Even after DADT was repealed, depending on the time, he married the man then his husband wouldn't have access to the benefits other employees spouses did because they had a queer marriage instead of a "traditional" heterosexual one.
If any of them were to seek out a relationship, I think it would be Leon or Claire. Claire works for an NGO so she likely has more freedom in her job (which isn't to say it isn't difficult or anything, just in terms of bureaucratic shit she wouldn't have to deal with the stuff that Leon or Chris and Jill do). She could date a civilian without having to worry about classified information or potentially putting them in danger. Leon seems kinda... lonely. At least prior to Death Island. I have no doubt that him and Claire are pretty close, but with Leon frequently being on mission, I don't know how often they get to "hang out". Leon doesn't have a team with built-in friends like Chris and Jill do, he's on his own. So I could see him maybe wanting someone he can rely on and someone he can talk to about things. Personally, I ship him with Chris, but that's just me. Since he never really wanted to be part of the government anyway, I could see him doing something like what Claire does and trying to have as "normal" of a life as he could after RC. I don't think his sense of justice or need to help people would allow him to just work some regular day job, but since he didn't really want to be on the battlefield either, I think something like what Claire does at TerraSave would be a happy medium. He'd be able to fight for things and help people without physically fighting if that makes sense.
As for Claire in college, we don't have any information about any of it other then "she went to a college" for an unspecified amount of time. Based on her love for bikes, I could definitely see her being an engineer, probably a mechanical engineer. But I could also see her doing something like sociology or public health and public policy since she's very community oriented and does that kind of work with TerraSave. She seems pretty tech-savy too so maybe programming or computer science. My personal headcanon is mechanical engineering with a minor in sociology.
My assumption is that Chris can play the guitar since you don't really need to be able to read sheet music to that. He wears a Queen jacket (that matches with Claire's) too so I think he's pretty into music, and it would make sense for him to have a guitar and play it since he's seemingly a rock fan. Based on the scene from RE1, I'd wager Chris could probably play piano if he tried, since he can kinda do it a little bit in RE1, but piano and guitar work differently (as someone who plays both). Personally, I can read sheet music but I hate doing it, especially with piano, because I find it difficult to see. You're essentially looking at dots and a bunch of lines, and while I can do it, it takes more time and effort for me since I can't site read it quickly.
With guitar, there's what's called tab and actual traditional sheet music. Tab is pretty easy to figure out if you know which string is which on the guitar. It tells you where to put your fingers (which string and what number fret) rather than explicitly telling you what note you play like piano sheet music. If you know the music theory, you can tell the note from the tab too, but most people just use it for the frets and strings (unless they're professionals, playing in a recital, etc).
Tumblr media
(Sheet music is on the staff like the notes in the top portion, tab is the numbers written below the notes).
He can also probably do what's called playing by ear-- that's what I personally did. He might not care about the music theory behind the music, so he doesn't really bother with sheet music, but he knows what the song is supposed to sound like and can play it by listening to it. Once you get really involved with an instrument, you develop the ability to hear a note or a chord and know which one it is. Chris might be self-taught and can play by ear rather than site reading the sheet music for it. That's just my theory though since we don't really have much to go on. Considering how expensive guitars are though, especially the one Chris has, I'd assume he wouldn't pay hundreds of dollars for something he can't use.
After writing all of that out I realized that there's the possibility that you probably already know how that stuff works so that probably isn't relevant to you, but in the event that someone reading it doesn't know anything about guitar and/or piano, I figured it'd be best to leave it in.

So I was wondering if you'd mind explaining why you like tgs!lanyon as much as you do?
I've really wanted to like his character for a while but I'm struggling to see anything that I actually do like about him or signs of him actually doing anything. And I've never found myself able to really see/understand jekyll x lanyon as a ship considering the way lanyon left jekyll and the state of their future friendship. (Especially with how the latest chapters has portrayed them but honestly I haven't liked the newer chapters at all character or story wise)
I'm really not sending this to start a fight or anything I'm just really genuinely curious as to your reasonings for liking him and such
(And I normally do really like characters similar to lanyon I just don't like him for some reasons.)
Don’t worry about it, I’m happy to share ! I mean first of all you don’t necessarily have to like any character; it’s alright if you just don’t like Lanyon ! But I can share anyways ☺️
I personally relate A Lot to Lanyon, I headcanon him as autistic too, it’s just that a lot of the traits he seems to show aren’t generally seen as “good to have” (struggles with empathy, emotions, not great in social situations outside of aristocracy etc). He’s super confident and has a strong sense of justice in himself and what he believes. He struggles with empathy and understanding his own emotions and other people’s (which is Very Relatable to me and I’m really happy to see traits like that in characters that aren’t antagonists, even though the fandom Kinda dislikes him for those reasons🥲), but he has a small group of Really close friends (Jekyll, Rachel etc) that he cares Immensely for, Hell, he spends Most of chapters 6 - 10 trying to track down Hyde Just Because he thinks he might be posing a threat to Jekyll!
I think it’s really interesting how he’s written and also how he interacts with others, especially now that we’re getting more context for his upbringing and whatnot. He had some more.. questionable ways of dealing with his negative emotions and commitment/attachment issues in University, not ignoring it at all, but it’s super interesting to see how he’s come from that 15 years later.
I just think he’s Very Neat is all ☺️ You’re Absolutely free to have whatever opinion you want of him, I’m not trying to Convince you to like him! Just sharing my view on him ☺️ Have a good day man ✨

I’m currently watching Wednesday and I’m not finished with the season but I have a couple thoughts:
SPOILERS FOR NETFLIX’s WEDNESDAY!!!!!!
1) I love Enid that’s my sista
2) I love Bianca. From ep1 I was like YES a DS Black girl who’s the HBIC !!!
2.a) I immediately wanted an enemies to lovers ship with Wednesday and Bianca while watching ep1 lol I doubt the show will ever go that route but a girl can dream
3) I love how Enid and Wednesday have a “we’re opposites but we will do anything for each other” type friendship… similar to Galinda and Elphaba in a way lol
4) so far from what I’ve seen in the show, Wednesday is either aro or at least queer (even outside my want of an enemies to lovers arc) therefore I find the triangle between Wednesday Tyler and Xavier very boring
4.a) another reason I don’t care for the triangle is one, Wednesday, to me, has not shown or expressed any romantic interest in either guy since she got to Nevermore but because both boys immediately took a liking to her, they both projected their feelings onto her and then got upset when it came to the Rave’N dance; and two, the classic teen romance drama kinda takes away from why we like Wednesday so much as a character. She is diff from everyone else and I feel like I’m fine with her going to a high school and not having a bf, gf, or any romantic partner
5) I don’t think Gomez actually killed that Garrett kid… either Morticia did and he’s covering for her bc he loves her or possibly he died some other way? Anyway considering where I left off in the show before making this post is Gomez going to jail and Wednesday bearing his story and her not believing it… I’ll guess I’ll find out soon
6) not crazy about these portrayals of Gomez and Morticia… the energy just isn’t there for me. I know a lot of ppl dislike the casting of Gomez (Luis Guzman), I assume mostly bc he’s unattractive by societal standard (aka he’s fat)… which I initially didn’t care about bc who cares if Gomez is fat, as long as his personality is the same then it’s fine… but idk…. his Gomez is different but not in a refreshing way.
6.a) I do like CZJ’s Morticia more than I like LG’s Gomez but still idk… maybe I’m being too harsh of a critic but it’s not quite all the way there for me for some reason….
7) Since episode one I haven’t trusted the principal and I half don’t trust Miss Thornhill so I’m curious to see how their characters play out by the end of the season
8) Eugene, just like Enid is very precious to me! I felt bad he got got by the monster and I’m shocked but happy they didn’t kill him off… I was upset that he (very predictably) still went into the woods the night of the dance even tho Wednesday told him not to
8.a) I love the fact that he has lesbian moms!
9) idk if I have other thoughts if I do I guess I’ll reblog and add more later
10) I wanted this to be an even number lmaooo
10.a) I am 25 and I barely saw The Addams Family 1 & 2 this year 😭😭😭 I have no reason as to why I had never seen it before last month (or maybe it was September) but I LOVED those movies and them kooky ass Addams 😂 which is why I feel like I’m disappointed in the characterization of Gomez and Morticia. That’s all
If you actually read all this pls feel free to reply ur thoughts as well and let’s talk about it. (Reminder I haven’t finished the show, I’m on ep5)
11) I just remembered… Tim Burton you ain’t seeing heaven for multiple reasons but WHY is the Black mayor also the owner of a theme park or whatever that is PILGRIM themed???? The disconnect????????

Some character and episode notes from HZ003, which I’m writing down for future reference.
- The fact that Friede and his crew were literally hired to be Liko’s bodyguards wasn’t something I expected but it makes sense in retrospect! They could have gone to the school and ask where Liko was like Amethio did in the first episode instead of looking for her, which is fun that the antagonists had a more professional approach than them. I wonder if Liko’s mom is a bit like Friede in the way that she doesn’t think of bringing up important information. Either way, I like that Liko still thought about whether she could start trusting Friede and the others.
- That being said, I wonder if Liko comes from a well-off family if her parents can hire bodyguards? I expected Amethio to be more the “prince” type who comes from a rich family, but perhaps Liko is? Liko does seem very polite (she was seen bowing and apologizing when there was trouble in HZ001 and HZ003), so she might have been raised being conscious of manners. Liko mentioned in HZ001 that she wasn’t going back to her place for the break because her parents would be busy so I assume that they have jobs which take most of their time so they wouldn’t be able to spend lots of time as family? And if her grandmother passed away, she probably would prefer staying at school for the break since she wouldn’t really have anyone to spend time with at home? Liko also mentioned that she never traveled outside Paldea before going to Kanto for school for the first time, so I wonder if she used to spend a lot of time with her grandmother in the past, if her parents were too busy with work to go on holidays. I’m very curious about her background.
- Small bits I liked: Liko casually making small talk with the girl whose Rokon got hurt at the Pokemon Center. Liko might have a bit of a difficult time to approach others (like at school) and be more on the introverted side, but it doesn’t mean she can’t make small talk with people she doesn’t know. These kinds of details make her feel more rounded and real, I think.
- Liko using Nyaoha’s Leafage as distraction to run away is good. I like that they aren’t forcing a battle to happen and that she is thinking strategically. She did the same in HZ001 and thought about how she didn’t necessarily need to win against Zir, but needed to buy time. Friede cutting the battle with Amethio short, too. We could expect someone like Friede to want to “honor” the deal until the end and conclude the battle but he didn’t really need to in this situation since Nyaoha was saved. I do wonder if Friede will help Liko train, though.
- Something I found interesting: Liko being worried Nyaoha was treated badly and that something could have happened to it, and the scene cutting to Nyaoha being properly fed and having toys to play with. Amethio then brought up that he didn’t intend to use Nyaoha as a bargaining chip and it stood out to me that he mentioned “doing this in his own way.” He doesn’t seem to want to hurt Pokemon or get outsiders involved in his mission, and it makes me wonder if there will be a time when his superiors (one of the people he was reporting to in the preview) will give him orders he doesn’t necessarily agree with or conflict with his way of doing things? Perhaps a drastic way of getting the pendant that would endanger people and Pokemon alike? Liko noticed in HZ002 that the Pokemon on Friede’s ship felt relaxed and at ease, so it meant that Friede and his crew might not be bad guys. Which makes me wonder if this will be a plot point between Liko and The Explorers eventually? Her noticing that they seem to care about their Pokemon? Or someone else from The Explorers taking over the mission to get the pendant and using more violent means that hurt Pokemon, which makes The Rising Volteccers notice that something is off? (I could see Friede noticing that Amethio is usually not like that so something is off, for example)
I’m just very curious how the dynamics will evolve going forward. Liko is perceptive about Pokemon and began to form an opinion on Friede and the others by the way the Pokemon around them were acting. So perhaps something similar will happen with The Explorers in the future.
- Amethio’s composed facade crumbling a bit is interesting to see. He appeared very professional at first, but it’s cool to see that there are some things that get under his skin? In HZ002, he felt like he was being underestimated by Friede. And now, he fell for Friede’s whole “are you afraid you’re going to lose?” thing. Like, his eyebrow twitched a bit there so it looks like it annoyed him a bit to hear that w

i’m sorry i’m going on another rant but this ship enrages me; i think they should be besties, not romantically in love. that’s how i originally read it, and i hope the show backtracks a little bit and makes that real, because they do NOT need to have romantic feelings for each other. like it seemed like they were just trying to figure out how to CARE about others, not like they were in love. i think they have deep platonic love for one another, but i see no reason that it needs to be/ should be romantic?? i think they’re both just trying to figure out how to express that for each other, and they’re really awkward about it, so it ends up being expressed a bit weirdly. i really really hope s2 does this narrative and they don’t end up as a couple. it just doesn’t feel right.
idc about the selfcest or whatever bc they’re completely different characters. the actors even have some chemistry, but i just do not like this ship as romantic, i see them as friends. i’m curious to see as well if sylvies feelings were genuine, or if she was trying to manipulate loki to get what she wants. i hope they can be friends without the writers/directors ruining it and making them actually fall in love.
taken from a quora response (i know i hate that site too but this reply really made sense):
“I glanced at the other answers and everyone seems pretty sure that they are madly in love. I have to say I disagree.
The Loki we know has truly experienced trauma throughout his life. He was basically abducted as a baby for lack of a better term, lied to, etc etc. He doesn't trust people. I would go as far as to say he doesn't even put any effort into liking them. As much as I do believe he loves Thor, it is a love-born out of initial obligation. I think that loving/caring about anyone outside of your immediate family is always different. And that the first time you do it, it has a learning curve. What a lot of people read as soft loving romantic feelings, I read as Loki slowly lowering walls.
I think that at the moment when Mobius was pruned, Loki truly was heartbroken, because he considered him an ally and a friend. Possibly his first. Imagine not having a single friend in a thousand years. After having that kick ass fight, working with Sylvie against the minutemen, he grabs her shoulders, I don't think he was going to dip her and kiss her. Ala a Peggy/Steve or Tony Pepper moment. Or declare her his one true love.
I think he was going to declare that he trusted her and that he wanted to fight alongside her. He was going to tell her everything that she missed, everything that he thought they should do next. He was fully prepared to do the same thing with Mobius, He just never got the chance. He's never known how to trust someone and now he did. And in his mind the first part of that is declaring it. Declaring that you aren't trying to betray that person despite it kind of being your calling card.
Could I see a romantic relationship in the distant future? Maybe? Everyone seems to look at the variant thing differently. To me none of the variants are the same. They look different, they act different, they were raised different, and they don't even appear to have the same genes. Literally twins are more similar than the variants. A lot of people are also saying that him caring for her is similar to him accepting himself because they share so many traits. But that is a kind of relationship that can be found in a person who isn't your trans-dimensional variant. Oftentimes our best friends, our platonic soulmates, are people that we see ourselves in the most.
There's a quote that I don't remember exactly. But it goes something like, “You will find that in your life there are people who will know your soul from the inside out and the great tragedy is that these are rarely the people you spend your life with." I thought of that quote several times when I was watching the last episode.
I personally really like Sylvie as a standalone character, and at this point I'm just hoping that she lives to move on in the next phase of movies. Because honestly, I like Tom Hiddleston, it would be cool for him to have a romantic relationship with anybody. But more than anything I'd love to see him in his mischievous glory with a best friend egging him on.”

10 and 6 for the choose violence ask game
6. which ship fans are the most annoying?
For iwtv I think it’s lesmand because I feel like people put way too much importance on their relationship and it kind of irks me. Like sometimes people will say “well they’re the most important ship/ the most consistent/ the most interesting/ the best ship in the books/ the most whatever whatever” and I’ve even seen people say that Lestat and Armand love each other more than any one else in the books, (Armand does say that but I don’t really fully believe him). But then I read the books and I just do not get the same vibe. Maybe it’s because I paused on TOTBT and I just need to read more but so far Armand’s love for Lestat doesn’t read as genuine love. It reads like an obsession (because it is) that Lestat seems uncomfortable with and even scared of to a certain extent (because he is) and having to read some of the things Armand did to Lestat, I DONT BLAME HIM. So I don’t really get when people hype it up as this epic enemies to lovers thing that’s the best ship in the books. Again maybe I have to read past TOTBT but so far I’m like…mm. I don’t hate lesmand and I’m even curious about how they’re gonna go about it in the show. The only ship I do genuinely hate is Armand/Marius because of the obvious but yeah.
I would’ve said Armand/Marius shippers because the ones that I’ve seen.,..jfc. But there aren’t that many for me to be annoyed by them.
For one piece it’s ZoSan.
I just do not see it.
At all.
I hate mlm ships where people only ship them because they fight a lot and hate each other. Atleast with something like lesmand, their actually is some romantic stuff going between them but Zoro and Sanji just….don’t. The most they have is respect for each other as fighters and they do genuinely care for one another because they’re on the same crew but outside of that it’s like…nothing. Nothing to work with and nothing to build upon. Also Sanji is aggressively, annoyingly heterosexual and I want him to remain that way. I don’t want that perverted transphobic, homophobic bitch of a man to be queer and I think that’s the main thing that frustrates me about that ship. Sanji is the same character who was about to die of blood loss and freaked out when two gay men donated blood to him and people think that he’s gay??? Okay .
10. worst part of fanon
Armand has a daddy kink.
I know people are mostly joking when they say it so I don’t take it too seriously but considering that Armand is a csa victim it just doesn’t sit right with me. Then there are some people who just say the quiet part outloud with “Armand has a daddy kink because of Marius” and I just….😬😬😬😬

please share your stranger things thoughts i’m curious 👀
okay but I am not going to tag this because I don't want people yelling at me! I am disagreeing with posts that have 5k+ notes so... I will put everything under the cut and still tag it as spoilers.
Fair warning! Stranger Things 4 spoilers below.
(Sorry it got long-ish, I have a lot of thoughts. I liked the season overall, btw. I know a lot of people are pissed about how it went but I'm not!)
The second - the second - that Mike told El he loves her, I was like oh shit. Here we go. That fandom collectively just imploded.
While I understand why people ship it - why wouldn't we want Will to get everything he's ever wanted? - I never thought it would actually happen because I saw no hints at all that Mike is queer.
I didn't feel either way about it happening, for context. If Mike/Will happened great, if not great. I'm not super attached to... probably any of the ships at this point, other than lumax. I've never really cared about Mike/El, at this point breaking up Nancy and Steve in season two feels like a mistake they are now trying to fix, I guess Joyce/Hopper is alright. My point is that I had no horse in this race.
Is Will queer? Obviously, and idk why people are mad that he didn't come out. Like what would that even look like? This is 1983-1986, remember. What community does Will have, as a queer person? What role models in his immediate, personal life? How do people around him talk about queerness? (A friend pointed out that they were also in the middle of the AIDS panic, which would have a major influence on how Will sees his own queerness, if he could even define it or label it in the first place!) I understand that there are fantastical elements to this story, obviously, but they are still living in our world, in our 1986.
It's super easy for people on tumblr to be like "just come out, just say you're gay!" but we have basically this whole website as support to do that, we can find communities online. When Robin "came out" she didn't actually say anything either? She just said "Steve" and gave him A Look until he figured it out. Call me crazy but these two characters can exist being queer without wearing their "I'm gay, ask me how" buttons to work/class every day.
So yeah I personally don't think there was any queerbaiting because, as a bisexual who has watched this show since the beginning and probably rewatches once a year, I am satisfied that Will is indeed queer and Mike is not and Robin is. I don't need a ship to happen, I guess, I just need the queer characters to actually be queer, and I think that Jonathan's talk with Will in the pizza place set that up perfectly to happen in the final season! Because now Will knows 100% that he can live his life, figure out who he is, and perhaps find someone to be with who is not his straight best friend. I don't think that anyone is arguing that Will isn't queer. (I keep using "queer" instead of "gay" because I did lowkey think he was aro/ace for a while, and he hasn't put a label on it. He's probably gay because that was some serious unrequited pining, but anyway.) We know he is! So are people mad that he and Mike aren't happening? Because ships aren't a guarantee. That particular ship not happening is not queerbaiting. It also reminds me of e*riels sorryyyyy I had to say it, it's just another example of making mountains out of molehills!
Like I said above, Will is obviously queer, and they have set him up to live his best queer life in the last season. I don't feel "baited" in the slightest.
(Side note, I don't pay attention really to interviews or articles or whatever is said outside the show itself. Much like any interview or event with Sarah J Maas, I don't rely on that event to tell me things that the show/book hasn't already told me.)
Now, Eddie. His death was sad, I cried both times (because I've watched the episode twice haha) but it did make sense, to me. He felt guilt for having left Chrissy behind, though obviously he couldn't have done anything about that. He couldn't have saved her, but like Max's guilt over Billy, that doesn't make him feel any better about how he responded to the situation. His death was not pointless? When he and Dustin went back to Hawkins, they would have ceased being a distraction for the bats. The second they leave, the bats would go back to the murder house, where Steve, Nancy, and Robin were trying to kill Vecna's body. They were supposed to be a distraction for a reason, they weren't just on a field trip to the Upside Down. So Eddie stopped, realized he was running again, and that doing so would actually in this case have been leaving other people in a lurch. (Now that I am writing this, I wonder if Steve had an influence on Eddie's decision to stay and fight. Something to think about.)
One more thing, but I also don't care that Vickie was kissing her boyfriend? The girl could be bi! Bisexuals exist y'all, and the fact that people are annoyed that a potentially bisexual woman was kissing her boyfriend,,,,... it just grosses me out tbh. Is Rickie their ship name, btw? So yeah, bisexual Molly Ringwald is gonna hopefully be a great girlfriend for Robin.
idk, some of the criticism I've seen just doesn't totally make sense when we still have another season coming. And when, like with Will, I feel like these things are going to continue/be resolved. I was watching something a while back and Oliver Stone was talking about the movie Wall Street, and how being a director means knowing that the viewer is absolutely going to misunderstand your intentions. I think there is a lot of that going on right now.
I liked this season. Some of the memes making fun of it had made me laugh. I'm not trying to be an active member of the fandom, I just have a lot of thoughts. (If this somehow gets outside of my usual fandom/followers, just FYI that I don't hesitate to block a bitch.)

Howdy there! Congrats on the milestone!
Could I get a ship for Stranger Things please?
My favorite song is always changing but is currently between If I Was A Cowboy by Miranda Lambert and Old Flames by Dolly Parton
I’m afab non-binary (they/she) and pansexual so no preference either way as long as it’s an 18+ character ofc. I’m part Cherokee and part white so I’m fairly tan with really long chocolatey brown hair and full bangs, and greyish-green almond shaped eyes. I wear glasses and have my right nostril pierced with a small silver hoop in it currently, my earlobes are pierced as well and I often wear native made beaded earrings. I’m fairly average when considering body type and height (basically not quite skin and bones but not enough weight or body fat to be considered ‘chubby’ beyond my thighs tbh, and I’m 5’4). I don’t really have a specific style of fashion, each day I’m probably in a different aesthetic than the day before, but I prioritize comfort over trends every chance I get. I almost always have my nails painted, usually black but occasionally I like painting them pink.
I’m very passionate, introverted, and sensitive, but I will always stand up for my friends. Basically my anxiety disappears when I have to do something for someone I love and care about, which has me called a mom friend often. I’m a big people pleaser too, which has gotten me into some issues but I’ve been told I’m fairly charming and cunning so I’ve been able to get out of those problems. I was never technically popular in school, I knew a lot of people but didn’t have a lot of friends if that makes sense.
I love animals (I am that bitch to yell ‘cow’ or ‘dog’ when I see them) and the outdoors, even though it seems every time I go outside I end up getting hurt somehow. (I‘ve only fell out of a tree once, let’s get that out of the way lol) I grew up in the backwoods of Kentucky, so I was raised around farm lands and know my way around a shotgun as well as a good old pickup truck. Even with how ‘country’ I am, I am a huge nerd as well, completely obsessed with Star Wars if I’m honest, and can tell you random facts of a variety of things (including, but not limited to, feline body language, the history of rock music, and classic conspiracy theories) because I’m a naturally curious person and research anything that peaks my interest even just a little bit. I don’t think I’m particularly talented at anything; I used to be in band in middle school and can play a few notes in the flute along with a few other instruments, I can make a decent painting of animals, I write little drabbles here and there, but the one think I know I’m good at is looking up things. I never lose an argument because I make sure I get the facts before ever even engaging in debates. I almost blame that on my ADHD, but I really blame it on being a Virgo with a need to be right despite I don’t completely buy into astrology (though I do find it fun and interesting to play with!).
I think that’s all that really matters, thank you! And I’m sorry for how long this ended up, I’m also a big rambler and don’t know how to shut up sometimes 😅
Don't apologize for talking Sweetheart, it was really interesting to read it<3
I ship you with Robin Buckley!
God, that girl could listen to you talk endlessly. Seriously, the moment you two really started talking, she was in love (and maybe a little infatuated before as well - you stood out to her in school, always having your friends' backs even to the assholes no one dared to mess with, Robin was fascinated). And you two match each other in terms of research energy; if one of you finds a topic they're interested in, you make a game out of it who can find the most facts about it and retell them to each other (it was Robin's idea)
She finds it cute how excited you get about animals and finds every dog in a radius of two miles to pet for you. Whenever you stumble over a rock or hit your head on a low hanging branch, she's right there by your side - once in a while making fun of you or calling you clumsy - and helps you.
You swing by the ice cream parlor every chance you get to see her and you love how much her face lights up whenever you seemingly materialise in front of her (once you got Steve in on surprising Robin with a huge bouquet and invitation for a movie date on your anniversary - to this day neither of you knows how you actually pulled it off, usually Robin is observant of everything going on around her).
Join the celebration

9 people you’d like to know better
I was tagged bu @bavariansugarcookie (thanks you!)
To be perfectly honest I was nervous about this because…. I think most of the time it’s for the purpose of bonding over common interests… but if I answer the questions honestly I often come up with random niche things, or even things that are well known in my country but not to people outside of it, and it’s often expected that your response will be something, well, that USA-Americans will have at least heard of (or can find with a quick search if they’re interested in it). So often I will end up talking about a book that wasn’t even translated in English and hear crickets. Or a lot of the music I listen to ends up being small local stuff or random youtube instrumental playlist I put on as background music while writing / drawing instead of a cool song people will know… Like, genuinely, what do you do about these memes if you response is something weird no-one will know? Do you just go for the closest answer where people will get the reference? Especially if you’re not USA-American or if you have other roots? (genuinely curious! you’re welcome to answer in the comments, just don’t reblog pls).
So. Sorry I’ll probably over-explain and speak of things no one really cares about…
1. 3 ships: sheith, Ineffable Husbands, Imodna
2. first ever ship: Lol, I’m not even sure what that means. I think the first (non canon) ship I was invested in was the main characters from a Belgian comic series called “Les tuniques bleues” ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Les_Tuniques_Bleues). They kept acting as if they didn’t like each other while CLEARLY caring a whole lot and saving each other’s lives and I had a lot of feels about it that I could not really explain! Like I started reading this when I was like, 10, until high-school lol. I had no words to put on those feelings, and no idea of the concept of shipping but now I can quite confidently say that I did ship them lol.
But idk. I also liked Leïla and Han in Star Wars as a kid for example. It’s hard to pin, really.
If you want something you’re more likely to know, and from a time I was in fandom, Kyo and Tohru in Fruitsbaket? (but I was not in the English side of fandom so ships were not such a big deal, even here for a shojo that had a love triangle lol). If you want more like, non-canon ships you’d have both Nana in, well, Nana (by Ai Yazawa).
If you want the first ship where I actually looked for fan content, then probably L x Light in Death Note ?
And then the first ship I actually got involved with (English speaking) fandom was sheith.
But tbh while I realized—late—that I always had ships, I don’t always care about ships in the stories I like.  I’m just as much likely to get invested in platonic relationships, friends, found families, or actual families.
3. last song: see, after going to the movies (see next question), we went to grab a beer and there was live music band. They did some classic songs (the first one was “Don’t Worry Be Happy”, and I remember Toxic and Hotel California), but mostly it was original songs they have composed. They do have an online presence and I thought about sharing a clip of one of the songs they played, then I remembered it’s a small local group and people on the internet are weird and creepy  (and I mean ants just as much or even more than your regular creep) so… 🤷 Ask me in dms if you’re a moot and interested I guess.
4. last movie: went to see Everything Everywhere All at Once for the 2nd time tonight. It was great.
5. currently reading: For the reference most people will get, I just finished Exit Strategy from the Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells, which I loved (super fond of this series).
I’m also reading “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine”  by Gail Honeyman, we have a book-club for it in one of my discords. I wouldn’t have picked it up myself and I’m glad I am actually reading it because I’m enjoying the way the main character is such an unreliable narrator and am curious of seeing things unfold.
I’m also reading “Le château des poisons” by Serge Brussolo (Castle of Poisons), because a friend lend it to me super long ago and I want to give it back when I see her next week. I’m meh about it: the setting (a mystery set in medieval France) is interesting and I want to know how the plot with be solved (if it will be), but this sort of gritty representation of medieval times is not my cup and the characters are a bit cliché.
For fanfic, I finished “Heart Nailed Open” by Perfchan this morning and I loved it so so much!!! I also have a bunch of books about art from the library…
6. currently watching: Trigun stampede (I’ve been procrastinating the end because I need to be emotionally ready lol). And Critical Role campaign 3 (also need to catch up with Vox Machina s2).
7. currently consuming: ...easter chocolates
8. currently craving: tea (always lol)
9 people to tag: I… didn’t follow who got tagged already so… if you see this and want to do it, consider yourself tagged!)
