More than a few eyes can be felt on her as Reimu hastily tears off piece after piece of the clear tape she brought with her onto the train. Every time she’s gone on “adventures” with the other girls in the Incident Solvers’ Club she’s always brought her baseball bat for reassurance. Maybe not so much for ghosts as for creeps that may be lurking around the corner. It just made her feel better to have it on hand.

But now with the threat of something actually supernatural, a single wooden club may not be enough. Eri’s proven to her that he actually is a god, so who knows what she might find. The universe is definitely laughing at her for dismissing  Sumireko and Sanae’s claims.

For a moment Reimu has to rest from constantly pulling apart tape for the past few minutes. There are definitely people staring, and she doesn’t wanna look at them so instead she looks down at the ofuda-plastered bat that she’s created. It’s not the prettiest thing in the world, but it might be useful for fighting a demon...maybe. That’s just something that Reimu’s gonna have to find out herself.

The bat is completely covered in them, but Reimu can’t help but feel like something is missing. To her left she checks on her bag and sees the gohei she brought with her sticking right out of it.

“Wait...” Carefully she pulls the sanctified stick out of the bag and begins to take off the shide. She’s not quite sure how, but after a bit of a struggle she’s successfully wrapped the shide around her baseball bat. Forget those dusty old swords at the temple, this is a holy weapon. Crafted just for her.

Thinking back to Eri though, Reimu thinks about the possibilities of what may happen should she choose to go alone. As courageous as she is even she knows how stupid of a thing that is to do. There are a few options, and she’ll have to make her decisions quick before the next stop. Which of her friends should she turn to first...
