MY DRS!!!
Masterlist <3
(For inspiration, ideas, or just to get to know me!!! This is in no particular order btw, just the way they’re ordered in my Lifa App.)
———
*Side note, I have a “waiting room” dr too. It’s basically just a big movie theater but all the theater rooms are my different drs. But I’ve elected to not make a full section for it.*
———
•1•
Dr Name: Hogwarts, 1991.
Universe/Basis: Harry Potter
Synopsis: Non-Canonical HP dr where I get to experience the magical world completely and fully with my favorite characters. There’s no war, no plot, and things have been changed to make it more desirable for me. IE: No Death Eaters/Voldemort, no one dies, etc. It’s basically just a boarding school dr with magic lol. It was my main dr for a long time and has a LOT of little things scripted in. Honestly, I’m still so in love with it and if I ever did permashift, it would probably be here.
———
•2•
Dr Name: Chosen One
Universe/Basis: Harry Potter
Synopsis: Canon-Adjacent dr where basically I’m Harry. Obviously he doesn’t exist in this dr because I’m obsessed with being the main character (/hj). Things have been scripted to not be so traumatizing and awful all the time, but will loosely follow a sort of plot to let me be the chosen one in a prophecy and basically the center of attention. There’s stakes and I don’t expect to shift here for long intervals because it seems stressful, but I’m shifting to third year with a pre-written backstory for the first two years. Again, not fully canon- certain characters don’t die and the war isn’t killing innocents etc. I just like attention.
———
•3•
Dr Name: Lost
Universe/Basis: ABC’s Lost TV Series (2004)
Synopsis: Canon-Adjacent to the Lost TV series, without the um…trauma. Also people don’t die. It’s basically Survivor meets Real Housewives. I live for the drama tbh. Basically the plane crash leaves me stranded with strangers and I get to meet the characters. I don’t have a s/o but I’m looking to be an adoptive daughter figure to Sawyer because emotionally unavailable selfish assholes seem to be my father-figure go to for some reason.
———
•4•
Dr Name: The 100
Universe/Basis: CW’s The 100
Synopsis: Heavily scripted but honestly it’s almost-canon to the events of seasons 1 and 2 of the 100, obviously not so traumatizing though. I’m basically using this as a teenage-run society dr or maybe like a huge camping trip dr lmao. None of the 100 die like in canon, and also because I have main character syndrome Clarke and therefore also Wells aren’t part of the original delinquent mission. My s/o is gonna be Bellamy Blake, and I have a few close friends in the 100/eventually the grounders. There’s a lot of drama lmao. Also, my dad is Markus Kane and my (adoptive) brother is Murphy and my whole backstory is so convoluted it needed rewritten multiple times to even be coherent lmao.
———
•5•
Dr Name: Fame (Adult)
Universe/Basis: Better CR
Synopsis: Modern-set dr where I’m a famous actress/musician in my early twenties. I own a makeup/skincare company, as well as a non-profit community oriented foundation to teach kids the arts (acting, music, performance, dance, drawing, painting, etc.) but also hosting events and drives to give back to local communities. As for my professional career, I’m a part of some of my favorite movies/shows in my cr, as well as some movie ideas I had myself and made into a franchise in my DR. I’m basically the biggest IT girl and I’m like if Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Margot Robbie were a single person. Some of my films/shows, to name a few, are The VVitch, A Star Is Born, The Summer I Turned Pretty, and Barbie.
———
•6•
Dr Name: Fame (Teen)
Universe/Basis: Better CR
Synopsis: An early 2010s dr, I’m a young teen actress and get to star in some of my favorite shows and movies from that time period, as well as some adaptations I thought up myself. My dad is Matthew Grey Gubler because he seems like he’d be such a cool dad, so I’m technically a Nepo baby. I play Dustin’s twin sister in Stranger Things, I play Annabeth Chase in an adaptation of PJO, I play Prim in The Hunger Games, I’m Coraline in a live action adapatation, and a few other roles that I have planned.
———
•7•
Dr Name: Assemble
Universe/Basis: MCU - Young Avengers
Synopsis: I’m Tony Stark’s daughter, all the OGs don’t die, and I’m in charge of the Young Avengers. I’ve adapted some comic book characters into new heroes, as well as adding known characters like Spider-man, America Chavez, Yelena (younger in my dr), Kate Bishop, etc. It’s basically like fanfic Avengers lmao. We all live in the compound in upstate New York, and sometimes other “characters” pop in to give us training lessons and stuff such as Stephen Strange or Wong, T’Challa, Bucky, Loki, etc. It seems so fun to just have a compound full of super powered/super-capable teenagers tbh. A nightmare for my dad tho.
———
•8•
Dr Name: The Olympian
Universe/Basis: MCU
Synopsis: A more canon-reliant take on an MCU dr, where I join the original Avengers back in 2011. I’m basically a greek demigoddess capable of minor feats of magic, but through being a hero I’m eventually granted full godhood (like Hercules/Heracles in the myths) for my efforts. Fighting villains and hearing the hero drama seems so interesting. Honestly, I’ll probably be less involved in this dr than my Assemble dr, but this one’s still cool if only for my backstory here alone lol.
———
•9•
Dr Name: The Games
Universe/Basis: The Hunger Games
Synopsis: Basically not canon at all lmao. I don’t want to kill anyone, that’s insane. Basically, the districts still exist (though people aren’t starving or anything) and “The Games” are basically just a big game show held in the Capitol and the winner gets money, fame, etc. This dr is loosely based off of the prequel, the ballad of songbirds and snakes, so there’s *technically* Coriolanus Snow as my love interest/mentor, but his character is so different that it’s basically not even him- I just find Tom Blythe attractive is all. Also Sejanus Plinth is my bbygirl he deserved so much better.
———
•10•
Dr Name: Camp Halfblood
Universe/Basis: PJO
Synopsis: Non-Canon pjo dr. I’m a child of Zeus (I need to be the main character so bad ig. Also, I need to have an absent/terrible biological father apparently?? minus tony tho 🫶) and I’m the only one in the Zeus Cabin. There’s no quests and we’re genuinely just trained over the summer and allowed to either stay or go to school for the rest of the year. It’s basically a summer camp dr but with a little magic and stuff here and there. Percy, Grover, Annabeth, etc. are all my age and eventually Percy will be my s/o because clueless boys of unimaginable power are just so babygirl to me i guess.
———
•11•
Dr Name: Bridgerton
Universe/Basis: Netflix’s Bridgerton TV series
Synopsis: Mostly canon, with a few more added families and such. My own background is also a royalty dr- I’m the princess of Norway undercover as the distant relative of Lady Danbury, and I’ve got a few completely made-up love interests because no one in the show is really in my age range??? I mean some are close, like Colin, but he’s in love with Penelope so idk. I just want fancy dresses and huge parties and high society drama tbh.
———
•12•
Dr Name: The Walking Dead
Universe/Basis: AMC’s The Walking Dead TV series
Synopsis: HEAVILY SCRIPTED!!! I don’t want my people to die obviously. Zombies/walkers can’t actually hurt us and everyone smells good oof. No cannibals bc ew, it’s basically a found family dr with zombies. I/we won’t have to kill people!!! Both Daryl and Rick are sort of father figures to me, and my love interests include a few people such as Carl, Enid, Ron, and Kelly (I love Kelly sm) and the later seasons are changed to be better to live in and everything’s not constantly falling apart. Also, basically scripting out all of the Negan drama and most stuff after it, because absolutely not.
———
•13•
Dr Name: BrBa
Universe/Basis: AMC’s Breaking Bad TV series
Synopsis: LISTEN!!! I just think it would be fun to fuck around in this dr tbh. I’m a high-end dealer (drugs don’t kill people and don’t have a bad effect on people either) and I just want to go to lavish parties and commit high end crimes. I think Walter White is funny as hell unintentionally and Jesse Pinkman seems like the coolest person to just hang out with (at least in the first few seasons of the show.) Obviously, it’s not even remotely canon and doesn’t follow the actual plot. I also won’t spent too much time here. Like I said, it’s just to mess around in. It’s absolutely not serious nor is it a place i’d want to be for long.
———
•14•
Dr Name: Narnia
Universe/Basis: The Chronicles of Narnia (films)
Synopsis: Golden Age Narnia? Ruling a magical country, marrying my best friend (Peter), leading people, being highly respected by my court? The whole thing sounds like a fairytale. It’s basically a royalty dr but with magic. Medieval times but, as with all my non-modern drs, I script modern amenities because if I don’t have toilet paper and indoor plumbing I’m gonna scream and cry. I also love the canon Pevensie siblings and their personalities I want to meet them all so bad. Also, Peter Pevensie was my first crush ever, as an fyi.
———
•15•
Dr Name: LIS
Universe/Basis: Netflix’ Lost In Space reboot
Synopsis: Canon/mostly canon with fun additions and workarounds. Adoptive/found family dynamics. I get to be a super cool badass with yet another adoptive father figure while exploring alien planets and getting to be besties with penny robinson (i’m forever a penny defender- i love forgotten, “unwanted” middle child archetypes) and getting to meet a literal 7 foot tall alien robot is gonna be SO cool are you kidding me???
———
•16•
Dr Name: Stardew Valley
Universe/Basis: Stardew Valley (video game)
Synopsis: CUTE FARMING DR!!! There’s twelve canonical love interests but i’m considering adding a few more options/people in general for funsies. Basically I want to have my little farm and my little animals and run around town and meet people and go to the beach and it’s gonna be so fun i’m so excited for it. I’ve actually considered it for my “waiting room” sort of place, because only the valley itself and like three other places even really exist in canon soooo but idk. (also considering scripting johnnie guilbert as sebastian bc 🤭🤭🤭)
———
•17•
Dr Name: Gravity Falls
Universe/Basis: Gravity Falls
Synopsis: Teenage dr, not canon reliant but with weird occurrences and mysteries going on all around. The twins and their friends are older but most of the other characters stay the same age. Instead of having a complicated backstory I straight up just tell Stan I shifted and he’s unbothered because he literally watched his brother get sucked into a portal and fist-fought a pterodactyl so not much can phase him anymore ig.
———
•18•
Dr Name: Summer Ship
Universe/Basis: Better Cr
Synopsis: Um this one’s completely made up by me, hi. Basically me and some of my dr friends are working on a private yacht for the summer. We only work like four hours a day, get paid WAY too much tbh, and then spend the weekends/after work hours getting to live on this huge ass rich people yacht that we’re allowed to go crazy on. It’s sailing the mediterranean so it doubles as a travel dr, where I get to see places like Greece, Rome, Venice, etc. when we dock and go inland. I’m so unbelievably stoked about this one tbh.
———
•19•
Dr Name: Smosh
Universe/Basis: Better Cr
Synopsis: This one’s kinda embarrassing ngl 💀 so basically, the Youtube channel Smosh is this whole big brand that’s like an office completely oriented on making fun videos, sketch comedy, playing board games, etc. and it looks SO fun to work there. Some of the people in videos/crew behind the scenes seem like genuinely nice people so basically it’s a better cr dr where I just work there too, and I’m a little older lol. Like obviously it’s a job like anywhere else, but a lot of the time their job is fart jokes and playing games.
———
•20•
Dr Name: Sword AF
Universe/Basis: Smosh - DnD Campaign
Synopsis: If I thought the last one was embarrassing, this takes the cake lmao. So, Smosh runs a dnd campaign where four of them play characters and then the dm plays a bunch of npcs. I’ve scripted myself as a fantasy character to explore the dr world based off of the dnd campaign’s world. Interacting with real people who are the characters my friends play in a different dr lmao. But an ancient giant wooden robot, a blue goblin, a gay elf, and a horny older halfling lady are MY comfort characters, okay! It’s a dnd dr, based off of the Sword AF campaign.
———
•21•
Dr Name: A:TLA
Universe/Basis: Nickelodeon’s Avatar Cartoon
Synopsis: guys i LOVE avatar omg. uncle iroh singing little soldier boy can make me cry on command to this day. In this dr, I’m a fire bender runaway living in Omashu. I also scripted different fire nation “countries,” like how the earth kingdom has sort of different governments set-up throughout or how the water tribes have the two separate tribes on either pole. I’m from an island tribe and because I like attention, I’m a princess in that kingdom. This dr is mostly canon??? It was a cartoon so not too much traumatizing stuff happened anyways, but there are certainly some…questionable moments.
———
Honorable Mentions
(drs that i *technically* have, but have put little to no thought into the actual context of and i currently have no desire to actively shift to, just future possibilities)
-“Dog Days,” a Diary of a Wimpy Kid dr (i am down BAD for rodrick heffley)
-BAU/criminal minds dr (i have no idea how i’d POSSIBLY script this to not be traumatic so for now it’s not even really a dr, just a place i may want to go???)
-“Safety” dr (without too much detail, I’m a kid again and live in a valley home with my favorite people, with neighbor kids and the whole place is filled with flowers and it’s always summer. basically just a stress-free dreamland.)
-Sam and Colby dr. (ghost hunting but i’m a medium + getting up to some utter tomfoolery in a youtuber house)
-Daybreak dr based off of the netflix show (societies run by teenagers AND zombie survival found family drs seem to be a favorite of mine, and this is both)
-“Hawkins” dr, basically stranger things without any strange things (no way am i facing a demogorgan head on, let ALONE vecna or the mind flayer are you KIDDING???)
-The Walking Dead (game), (I love Clementine so much) (I honestly might just script twdg characters into my main twd dr so I don’t have to have multiple, idk yet)
-“Royal University,” yet another royalty dr bc i’m self obsessed ig, (made up royalty heirs in a college dr)
-Hogwarts, 1971 (undecided/not scripted marauders era dr. obsessed with andrew garfield as remus lupin.)
-Hogwarts, 2011 (undecided dr of the golden-trio era’s kids from the series epilogue/*minor* elements of cursed child, teddy lupin gets to live with his parents bc i WILL start crying)
-Youtuber Dr, (Making horror content/horror-themed video essays, will be in the same sort of circle as Wendigoon, the Lore Lodge, Loey Lane, Nexpo, etc.)
-Various short-term drs to figure out what happened at certain instances in my cr. I kind of think of them as “fly on the wall” drs just for me to be in a location to fully understand what happened there. Mainly, cold cases/unexplained events. (Jonbenet Ramsey, mothman bridge incident, phoenix lights, dyatlov pass, and several missing 411 cases mostly.)
-Cool History dr, where I can go see cool historical moments for myself from my cr. such as the building of the pyramids, the library of alexandria, the “resurrection of jesus” (since he was a real person), woodstock, stonewall, etc.
———
I am always accepting more dr ideas, tbh. Any piece of media I consume is free real estate for a dr if we’re being so fr.

A-spec Lesbian
I decided to make my own list of things that have helped me realized I'm gay. Disclaimer: I'm not the arbiter of what makes someone an aspec lesbian, however if you experience some or most of these it's something to consider. Disclaimer 2: I've also not had a lot of experience dating so I can't include much of that here. This post will be divided in 3 sections: Men, Women and NBs and media
Men:
only crushing on "unavailable" men: married, in a relationship, much older, gay, fictional, celebrities
"crushing" on men and enjoying fantasizing about them, but not trying to flirt or even get close to them in any way
"crushing on a man" for a set period of time and then and thinking he's the hottest thing since sliced bread, but later (especially after a physical separation) finding him meh or cringey
fantasies about men having more to do with being happy and fulfilled in life and being seen as someone to be jealous of, not so much about the specific person
having a crush/attraction to a man only for him to return it and you realize that you feel uncomfortable
meeting a guy who is conventionally attractive and meets all your standards and telling yourself you are attracted to him but still feeling a weird pressure in your stomach/chest because "something is missing"
liking a guy, until he changes something minor about his appearance (shaves, does his hair differently) and then finding him basic/meh and losing all attraction to him
never understanding what women see in the men they date or like in media, at least looks-wise
finding even extremely conventionally attractive men to be kinda meh and thinking women attracted to men must be exaggerating how hot they find them
being uncomfortable when you find out a man has a crush on you and wanting him to stay away, but with women/nbs it's just a bit awkward and overall no big deal
having to force sexual and romantic fantasies for men and getting bored of them after a while
finding the most aesthetically attractive man in a group and deciding you are attracted to him (bonus points: being relieved when you find out he's taken/ and/or you could never date him for some reason)
being anxious or sad or bored when you imagine your life with a man
only wanting to date men if it's polyamorous (note: this is not to invalidate poly people, but if you can only imagine dating one gender ONLY if it's poly and having no issues to be monogamous with another gender... that might be something to look into)
getting sad/anxious/bored at the idea that your first boyfriend could be your forever partner. thinking "of course i want to experience life before I settle down"
wanting to dress sexy and reveal your body, but wanting to hide it when a man pays attention to you
Men expressing their attraction to men is more relatable than women expressing their attraction for men Women/ NBs:
finding only a few men aesthetically attractive but nearly every woman/queer/nb person (esp more femme ones) being gorgeous to you
wanting to impress and/or be liked by "special" women
going on dating apps and switching to "women only" even though you are (supposedly) bi/pan (note: some people may do this for safety reasons but if you can't even IMAGINE finding a guy off an app, even if you take all possible precautions, well...)
finding the fantasy of sharing your life with a woman/nb person far more rewarding and satisfying than the fantasy of doing those same things with a man
having some inkling of attraction to trans women pre-coming out, but suddenly thinking they are the most gorgeous people ever post knowing they are women(especially if they go on HRT),
really "admiring" masc/butch women and women who break gender roles (women in suits, women with defined muscles etc.)
thinking that everyone thinks women are more aesthetically attractive than men (hint: ask a gay man about this)
having deep feelings about a female actor, singer, teacher growing up etc. that feel special and unique
feeling guilty in locker rooms, not wanting to look at women too long
getting really excited at the idea of having a gf, or being a girl/nb person's gf/ partner but not feeling the same way about dating boys/men
wishing to be a lesbian because you think lesbians are cool and/or to avoid dating men
feeling uncomfortable feelings about the label lesbian, especially when applied to you (but not gay/queer/sapphic/wlw/nblw etc.)
not getting crushes on women IRL often because you're still aspec
getting crushes on fictional women, influencers, celebrities etc. Media:
never relating to m/f pairings even if they have bi/pan characters or the m/f relationships you see in media or around you.
shipping m/f, but thinking "that's cool for them, but I don't want that" (note: this might also have to with gender, if you're nb)
imagining yourself as the "man" in m/f ships never the woman
not relating to f/f ships with two thin conventionally feminine and usually white women (esp if you are fat, gnc, WoC, and/or are attracted to butch/masc women)
seeing posts about the attractiveness of men but relating them to m/m ships, not yourself
wanting every bi/pan character to be in a "gay" or at least, in a visibly queer relationship
only relating to m/f ships if they are more obviously queer. Like say, masc woman with a twink boyfriend (side note, I've never seen that, so if you have recs please send them my way)
only being able to get off on gay/lesbian porn, finding straight porn to be unsatisfying or boring or uncomfortable (note: porn is not a great way to determine sexualaity as most actresses are fetishized and fake prgasms, and most lesbian porn is not made for sapphics. but still) Things you are allowed to do as a lesbian/don't make you less gay:
Have m/f ships you feel strongly about
read/write m/f smut
relate to/write bi/pan characters
joke about liking celebrity men & fictional men
not be attracted to the women the lesbian community has decided are the hottest thing since sliced bread (Kristen Stewart is not everyone's type)
not be comfortable with certain sex acts or sex as a whole

EMOTEZ BLOG ★
This blog is run by an alter from a (traumagenic) system. Call me Punx or Shaggy!! I am an adult, am autistic, schizophrenic, and have cptsd.
REQUESTS ARE OPEN !!
There's not really any restrictions other than straight up porn. Anything else is free game! Suggestive stuff, even! I fully believe any and everyone should have access to all forms of communication and emojis, especially swears and shit. I used to make these mostly for my nonverbal and nonscribal headmates, but I figured I should open the floor to everyone!
No DNIs, I have an opinion on syscourse but I'm not open for discussion about it under any circumstances whatsoever. I will not be restricting who can use my emojis because they're just that, silly little emojis. However, that being said, please only use my emojis on discord and or aac apps/tablets! Credit is only needed in big servers, but please don't claim them as yours.
Stuff I can do:
Scene, horror, animals, general emojis, animated emojis (once I figure out how to export gifs in ibispaint), full bodies, etc. Just ask! I'm honestly down for anything, but there's some stuff I may be unable to do so sorry if I can't get it done!
Stuff I can't do (for now):
Wordmojis (temporarily unavailable due to writing issues), an complex animals. I'm not comfortable enough yet with my skills as an artist to do these, but I could always give it a shot.
>:o)

i have a couple questions about the newly announced but not yet implemented change where blogs with the default theme will have their URLs changed from [username] dot Tumblr dot com to Tumblr dot com / [username], basically making them dashboard only unless the owner of the blog toggles it off. (Might be important to note I use Tumblr primarily through Firefox on Android, so I normally have a desktop view instead of a mobile view.)
1. Will this effect the archive function in any way? (I.e. will I still be able to go to [username] dot Tumblr dot com / archive, if I click on a post within the archive will it take me to dashboard view or the original view, etc.)
2. When this change is implemented, will there be an option to not be redirected to dashboard view for blogs I do not own? This could also have an "always view is dashboard mode" toggle as well, which some people might like
The first question is very important for me because I go through a lot of very inactive blogs via their archives to find old fanart and fanfiction, and not being able to view the posts on blog and instead being forced to view it in the dashboard, because the blog owner doesn't use the blog or possibly even Tumblr anymore and therefore won't toggle the change off, would make my "blog crawling" very very infuriating.
Answer: Hey, @zackofcards!
To answer your first question: no, archives will continue to work as they currently do. Even if a blog has the “Enable custom theme” toggle flipped off, there are a couple of places where we won’t redirect the {blogname}.tumblr.com traffic, and the blog’s archive page is one of them. The submission page is another since there’s no way to submit posts from within Tumblr’s web app (yet).
It’s a different story if the blog has the “Hide {blogname}” toggle flipped on, but this is a separate privacy setting that is always off by default. Blog archives have been unavailable for these blogs for many years, though we hope to fix this soon!
As for your second question: also no, we’re afraid. If a blog has “Enable custom theme” disabled, you cannot choose to view it with a theme. I would hope that this isn’t too controversial, given that you already couldn’t choose to view a blog with a different theme than it has installed – for example, as much as I would love to see the Staff blog using Vision, I’m not in charge of choosing which theme the Staff blog uses, so I can only imagine it.
Hopefully, this information puts your fears to rest. We’ve been very careful about implementing this change, thinking about little things like this and trying not to break anything. The change is out to everyone now, so if you find anything that we missed, please send a support ticket to let us know ASAP!

Some notes on Space Camp
Welp, now the movie is out. I have so much I wanna say, but I’ll wait until it comes out on YouTube to rewatch the movie (because the UI on the PBS Kids app sucks) and also I have a college thing to do tomorrow and Saturday, so yeah. More in-depth posts will come later. For now, I’ll just do bullet points (Spoilers abound, obviously)
The writers finally remembered that Face 9000 exists, and he plays a critical role in relaying information about the Deshrinkulum.
The writers, however, forgot that Commander Cressida exists. She’s not brought up once, not even in relation to the Great Galacto. Well, I guess that’s the law of equivalent exchange.
Speaking of the Great Galacto, he seems to be a commentary on YouTubers/social media influencers that do stupid things and have an impressionable young audience. He’s a good guy, though. He’s also Scottish for some reason. Well, Uncle Zucchini is Brooklyn/Joisey, so I’m not complaining.
As I suspected, Jet’s insistence on working alone ends up making things worse for him. Of course, he just wanted to protect Sean, Sydney, and Mindy, but still.
I predicted that Jet would have a “break the cutie” moment in this movie, and I was right. He even cries at one point. Poor thing. It’s even sadder that it happened to such an optimistic character like him.
According to the song “Brother From Another Sunspot Mother,” Jet adopted Sunspot from a litter. Here’s the thing though: in the flashback, Jet looks like the same age he currently does. This goes against what was established in “Sunday Drive.” That Sunspot lived with the Propulsions since Jet was a baby.
The songs in this movie are really great. They go into all sorts of genres too. Ska (Dear Great Galacto), a Disney-style award bait song™️ (Brother From Another Sunspot Mother”), blues (“Super Hyperdrive”), a marching song (“It Takes a Team”), etc
The scenery shows massive improvement. The trees especially look more realistic, instead of looking like stage props like in the TV show.
Stella was handled better than I thought. Contrary to what her actress said, she wasn’t a “villain.” She was just a jerk, much like Mitchell was. She didn’t do anything to physically hurt Jet and the others or anything. And she becomes nicer by the end of the movie.
As for Mitchell himself, well, they didn’t handle them the best. He spends 99% of the movie trying to expose Stella and Jet, and acts like he hates them. He even vilifies them by saying that they’re plotting to take over the world or whatever. What the hell happened here? They just undid all of his character development?
A minor complaint I had about the main show is that there was a small amount of background characters, and when there were, most of them were white. It made it look like Washington had the diversity of a cornfield, when that’s far from the truth. However, in this movie, there are plenty of people of color. For example, Houston is Black, Aurora is Asian-American, and Dr. Chandra is Southeast Asian. Heck, there are even some plus-size characters in the crowd shots. That’s also a good thing, since most of the earthie background characters seemed to have the same skinny body type. Heck, even Stella is a bit brown, and her voice actress is Asian-Canadian iirc.
Dr. Bergs is back, as is Dr. Skelley. Dr. Rafferty doesn’t appear at all. Maybe it’s because her voice actress was too busy or unavailable. Who knows?
Lillian doesn’t appear either. 😔
For those who wanted Mitchlendez or Propulsean shipping moments, you’re out of luck. Mindy sneaks up on Mitchell just for old times sake, and he does lend her his phone at one point, but that’s it. As for Propulsean, Jet and Sean just have standard friendship moments in the movie. Nothing too shippy, and he doesn’t call him “Seanzo” once. It could be for one of two reasons: the crew decided that they hate the ships and tried to remove any “puppy love” subtext between any characters. The other reason (for Propulsean) is that LGBTQ+ characters in kids shows causes major controversies nowadays, more so than usual, with Ron DeSantis and his fascist friends accusing any kids show that includes LGBTQ+ characters of “grooming.” They even tried to take Work It Out Wombats off the air just for having lesbian mothers. Even so, I’m happy if Jet and Sean are just friends.
Aside from the basic plot of accidentally going to space, it doesn’t actually have much in common with the 80s movie SpaceCamp.
That’s all, folks!

guys i have something to ask…
Tumblr media
*cough* Is anyone interested in commissioning me? ‘Cause I might decide to accept some art commissions (still not 100% sure). It’s likely to be a simple flat color of a character, plus a little version of the character in the same canvas (like the one in this picture since the little one’s gonna be very silly-styled). The minimum price should be around 20 USD. That amount can already pay me a few bills right now—
Available payment methods are mainly like debit/credit cards, Cash App, Apple Pay, Google Pay (but some are unavailable such as PayPal, etc.). Because I’ll be using a site that has my Stripe account connected to it. The site’s called Artistree ! (It seems to be a very convenient site and clients don’t need to make an account to commission artists through the site!!) It’s gonna be my first time using it and also my first time opening an actual commission internationally 🥹

Maybe someday health professional will stop treating avoidants like infants who have no agency and don’t know how to speak to people.
This is really aggravating.
Some know how to speak so well no one can tell there’s a problem.
Speaking and interacting with others is just one of the issues. Same with exchanging contact information. Same with actually going places and leaving one’s comfort zone.
The main problem is forming and maintaining a connection.
There’s no point in having someone’s contact and ghosting them, or being ghosted.
There’s no point if you put the effort to initiate the small talk and receive half-assed answers, or someone will take a very long time to reply - you’ll already know you’re not a huge priority by that point - they have their own life/job/family/partner/mental health/etc to take care of.
There’s no point in investing a lot of time into someone who you’ll later discover they’re unavailable, or they cross some of your boundaries.
You want a romantic relationship but can’t do dating apps because of the artificial nature of those programs, and how they increase the feelings of being disposable, by objectifying people.
You want friends but you’re unable to be a proper friend without getting romantic love involved.
You have peers, acquaintances and “friends”, that you keep a safe distance from you because you know they’re unavailable and you know you can’t get too close otherwise you will hurt too much.
But just the fact that you have these people already hurts because your needs are not being met.
The only scenario in which you would be less likely to get hurt, is if you ended up dating a close friend, but even then, you’d probably suffer with feelings of rejection, worry they will find someone better, terrible abandonment issues, and just being a complete and draining burden on the other person.
You hurt when you’re completely alone, too. But, at least, when it’s only you and your loneliness, there’s no worst case scenario - that’s already it and there’s no way it can get any worse than that.

you have a flip phone right? how does it affect your day to day public life? like needing to scan qr codes and stuff. the other day i started a job where they had me do so much on my phone without warning me beforehand. is it inconvenient for you?
i actually switched back to a smartphone a little over a year ago due to the inconvenience. i left my ex and moved back to the city i grew up in and not being able to navigate around the city spontaneously made it really difficult to socialize - id have to look directions up on my laptop beforehand and write them down. the other inconvenient thing was music, i had been using software to download songs from spotify without the drm or whatever its called, but they banned me for it :-(
i had the flip phone for about a year and it barred me from parts of life id never really thought about. you need a smartphone to pay for parking in some places, make camping reservations, etc. some places were able to accommodate it, but not everyplace and would always make a massive fuss about it because i am so so willing to die on the anti smartphone hill. on the positive side, i was immune to last minute schedule changes at work since i couldn't use the scheduling app, and i could be truly unavailable without email, work messaging apps, etc whenever i wasnt actively on my laptop. i got really used to that and even now with a smartphone i am more confident about setting boundaries wrt that. i have my works scheduling/messaging app now but everyone knows i have notifications off for it and i do not check it regularly. my manager texts me if there's something i really need to know, but i have a regular set schedule anyway so theres never anything that would upset me.
tbh for people who work someplace where they use a scheduling app and make last minute changes/changes between shifts, it might honestly be a good idea to have a decoy flip phone to use at work so that you can insist youre unable to see last minute changes. during part of my flip phone era i worked retail for a couple months and while other people had surprise shifts added overnight, they were actually begrudgingly accommodating to my flip phone needs. its sad that anyone would have to resort to that but it worked for me.

I feel like i always fall for people who are literally unavailable. Either they live too far, or they already have an s/o or both. I hate being 26 and being single my entire life. Everyone i know has someone. Theyre all happily in love and they have good jobs and are moved out and i have no one and nothing except a job that doesnt pay well and a family that constantly emotionally and verbally abuses me. Ive regretted every single time ive told someone i had feelings for them bc they reject me, ghost me, or they already have someone. Im so so lonely and its so hard for me to make friends at college bc im 7-8 yrs older than those kids. And its even harder at work bc i feel like everything is superficial. That no one there is actually my friend, they just talk to me bc they work with me.
They say that no one likes you when you’re 23…. or 24, 25, or 26 I guess…
I think everyone can relate to falling for someone unavailable. While the internet is great in part because it creates a culture where we can connect with people around the globe, that of course means that we can’t always meet people in person. While there are plenty of people who can work around this, and do, that really isn’t the case for everyone.
I’m sure everyone can relate to falling for someone who also already has a S/O. The polyamory part of my brain wants to yell “That’s okay! Date them anyway!” But trust me we understand that most people do not want to date more than one person, and we run into that as well a lot.
And honestly, even if you do find someone, there’s no guarantee they’re going to be a good fit.
I’m sure you can find 100 posts out there telling you that you’ll find someone, it just takes time, and while those are of course well-intended, it’s not always a helpful message to hear. It can very easily come across the same way some toxic positivity messages come off.
As does messages that say things like “everyone is in a different spot in their life, it’s okay if you feel behind”. But it still sucks. We know this.
It’s very easy to tell people “when you turn 18 (in the US) you’re free!” but… it’s very hard to actually move out on your own and a lot of times it comes down between putting up with an abusive and shitty household or quite literally being homeless. “At least I have a roof over my head and a bed to sleep in and food to eat.”
People can’t help if you come to them about having feelings for them and they already have someone and are strictly monogamous. People also can’t help if they simply don’t have the same feelings for you as you do them. But it still really sucks, and so does people ghosting you over it.
I understand not making friends easily at college. While Im not 26, I am 23, but also I look 21. I haven’t made any friends in college either, and certainly the few acquaintances I have made are not anyone who would date me or I would even want to date.
And yeah, work place friendships are certainly a real thing- I see my coworkers come in and hang out with each other off the clock all the time, and I know they text and snap each other all the time, etc. I, personally, don’t fit in with really any of my coworkers, and do not have that. My coworkers very much only talk to me because they work with me.
The solution I see most people talk about is either going to events or try online dating. Well, I’ve tried online dating and personally it does not work for me, but at this point I work and go to school so much I don’t have the energy to be going to places on a frequent basis. Not to mention going places cost money, and if you don’t have your own form of transportation then you really aren’t going anywhere. I’m kind of tired of these being the go-to answers when people ask “how do I make friends in my 20s”, but I personally don’t have any other answers. If anyone else has any suggestions that aren’t “meet people in school, get a job, go to events, and try dating apps” I would love to hear them because I too am in this situation and all ears.
And I mean really even if you DO manage to overcome these things, seriously sometimes the relationship itself is worse than being single. I quite literally managed to attend a concert where a guy started talking to everyone around him and ignoring his clearly awkward little brother so I made a point to ignore him and talk to his brother which led to him pretty much asking me to help look after said little brother to which I was like ofc this guy is way cooler than you and I don’t want to talk to you but I ended up getting a crush on him and we started talking after and ended up in some sort of faux relationship that was very up-and-down and overall bad for me and culminated in him going to a different state to pick up his kid and get divorced while sleeping with someone else all while I was… back home… so like YEAH even if you do overcome all that and find someone it could literally go like that 😳.
But like. Idk. I have to have hope at the same time? Do I really think I’m going to end up with someone in 2023? No. But I really think that I personally have to have hope. Because I don’t have anything else. I don’t haven’t friends here. I don’t have things to do here, or if I do I really don’t have the energy to do them while being chronically ill and working 20-30 hours a week + being a full-time student doing 12-15 credits a semester… just because I didn’t make any friends last semester doesn’t mean I won’t make any this semester. Just because none of my coworkers want to spend time with me outside work (and that’s fine because the feeling is mutual) doesn’t mean that perhaps some day a customer won’t come in and see me and think that I would make the perfect friend (or more). But, uh, yeah, it hasn’t happened yet. My coworkers are either in long-term relationships or are getting dating apps and getting dates within a week and then that same night they’re telling me this having customers ask if they’re single and I’m like wow! That’s great I’m getting misgendered by other trans people because people apparently can’t even tell I’m gay. And then I come on to tumblr to escape that crushing reality and see my mutuals all in healthy loving relationships with 4+ people or finding a new budding romance at also 23. So then I vent about it to my online friends who all also have partners. Or I text my irl best friends back home about it who are just as neurodivergent as me so 48+ hours later (or a month. Or never) they respond with “damn that sucks sorry to hear that”. And then I sit at home and my mom goes “I’m going with the friends I’ve made! See you later!” And I just. Sit at home. And probably sleep because I’m exhausted.
I’m not going to push anyone to have hope. If you really don’t have any hope that’s fine. You’re allowed to sit and complain about how lonely you are. I’ll listen, at least. Because I very much understand. And even if I wasn’t in the same boat, I would still listen. I understand the feeling of feeling like it’s not going to get better. It really sucks. I do hope it gets better for you though. And me too. Maybe 2023 will be our year. Statistically if we’re going to find someone then the older we get is another year closer to that. It’s just the waiting that sucks.

Introduction
Welcome to my little experiment!
The goal is to go on at least 50 First Dates with the kind of men I could see myself with long term.
Why 50 and how did I arrive at this specific number? Well...according to a few of my analyst friends (especially Steve), at least a sample of 30 is required for a successful research. However, since we are dealing with humans and human emotions, a larger sample would be best. Hence, 50 dates.
I know! It sounds exhausting, doesn't it? Especially for an INFJ like me who despises small talk.
But it is for research and we do this in the name of science!

The Rules:
The men must be of high quality. People I can actually see myself having something meaningful with.
I must actually make the effort to genuinely get to know them (as much as one can on a first date) and let them get to know me (shudder).
If I like them enough, I can see them again but it does not count for the quota of the 50 First Dates
The goal of every first date is to figure out if I will want to see them again.
I can choose to reveal about the "experiment" at my discretion
I do not ghost anyone but must end the connection respectfully and kindly.
Dates can be sourced from Dating Apps (Bumble is preferred), social media (Eg: Instagram, Facebook etc), or through the recommendations of friends.
So let us begin!
All dates will be written about and listed in chronological order with the occasional random story thrown in to give more background. I may also write about other dating related stories that may not be part of the experiment itself.
All names given below are fake in order to maintain anonymity.
Date 1 - Aiden
Date 2 - Harvey
Date 0 - Steve
Date 3 - Dallas
A little bit of background information about me and what really led to this experiment in the first place -
I am Sandy. I'm in my early 30s, a Gemini, and an INFJ. I have been single for most of my late 20s - first off, thanks to a very traumatic breakup with a narcissist and then of course the tragedy that was the pandemic.
The breakup was a definite eye opening experience. It led me down the path of self-love and I don't mean just the acceptance of who I truly am and owning my existence...but I really took the time to delve into past traumas that shaped me to allow a narcissist to take advantage of me like that. Therapy and a lot of self-work later, I feel like a brand new person. I don't want to say I'm glad it happened because anyone who has been with a narcissist for even a tiny bit of time can tell you just how much it suck. However, I am grateful for how the recovery allowed me to truly find and realign myself with my values.
The unfortunate side-effect of loving myself so much is that now I have begun to feel like may be my standards for love are way too high or maybe I am just a little emotionally unavailable.
Then a friend of mine, let's call him Steve, told me that I have not really experienced life or dated enough to come to a definite conclusion about my emotional availability. His suggestion became my own little "Dating Experiment."

Progressive Web Apps (Pwas): Transforming User Experiences in the Australian
In the fast-paced digital realm, where user experience is king, Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) have emerged as a game-changer. Recent statistics reveal that over 85% of Australians now use smartphones to access the internet. This seismic shift has prompted businesses to reimagine their online strategies.
Tumblr media
Also, progressive Web Apps (PWAs) are transforming user experiences in the Australian landscape by offering fast, reliable, and engaging web applications that work across devices and browsers. PWAs are web applications that use modern web technologies and best practices to deliver a native app-like experience to users. They can be installed on the home screen, work offline, send push notifications, and access device features.
In this blog post, we will explore the power of PWA,the technical breakdown of PWAs, their offline accessibility, and their performance enhancements for Aussie websites. Also, how Web99 can help businesses to fly with PWAs.
Unveiling the Prowess of PWAs
Picture this: a user lands on your website, and instead of the traditional sluggish loading times, they’re greeted by instant responsiveness. That’s the magic of PWAs. These web applications are designed to load swiftly, engaging users immediately. Their secret? Caching. PWAs store essential resources locally, like images and scripts, slashing loading times and granting users uninterrupted access even with spotty internet connections. This is a boon for Australia, where regional areas often grapple with internet disparities.
Offline Accessibility of PWAs
One of the main benefits of PWAs is their offline accessibility. PWAs can work even when there is no network connection, or the link is poor or unreliable. This is possible because of the service worker’s ability to cache resources and serve them from the local storage. The service worker can also implement different caching strategies depending on the type and priority of the resources. For example:
Cache first: This strategy tries to serve resources from the cache first and only fetches them from the network if they are unavailable in the store. This is suitable for static assets that rarely change, such as images, fonts, stylesheets, etc.
Network first: This strategy tries to serve resources from the network first and only falls back to the cache if the network fails. This is suitable for dynamic content that needs to be updated frequently, such as news articles, blog posts, etc.
Stale while revalidate: This strategy first serves resources from the cache, fetches them from the network in the background, and updates the cache with the latest version. This is suitable for content that needs to be fresh but not critical, such as social media feeds, comments, etc.
Offline accessibility of PWAs can improve user satisfaction and retention by providing a consistent and reliable user experience regardless of the network condition. It can also reduce data usage and bandwidth consumption by serving resources from the local storage instead of fetching them from the server.
Technical Breakdown of PWAs
PWAs are built with standard web development technologies or frameworks like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, etc. However, they also use some specific features and components that make them progressive, such as:
Service workers: Service workers are scripts that run in the background and act as a proxy between the web app and the network. They can intercept requests, cache responses, handle offline scenarios, sync data, and send push notifications.
Web app manifest: Web app manifest is a JSON file that provides metadata about the web app, such as its name, icon, theme colour, orientation, display mode, etc. It helps the web app to be installed on the home screen and to have a native app-like appearance.
App shell: App shell is the minimal HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code that provides the basic structure and UI of the web app. It is cached by the service worker and loaded instantly, regardless of the network condition.
Responsive design: Responsive design is a web design approach that adapts the layout and content of the web app to different screen sizes and orientations. It ensures that the web app is user-friendly and accessible on any device.

it's 2 am, and I had awoken 2 hours before. after praying, I just wanna focus on doing something on my laptop. so I calculate my financial in-and-out, then look for something to buy on shopee for my Malay friends. there are a lot of things to consider: whether they will like it or not, is it better to choose a keychain over a magnet fridge, who is right to get what, etc. and when the payment method I choose is unavailable during improvement, I close the app then write this tumblr post while my background music just plays the 2017 music era which was a hot song during quarantine and somehow it hits differently now.
I finished the Unsolved Mystery series on Netflix the other day. some of the mysteries are about homicide that is believed as suicide. the police decided some cases as suicide, while the family decided it as homicide. the family just can't take the fact that their family member has a tendency to do any harmful activities. most of the family said "she/he is the happiest person lately", "there is no way she/he did that", etc while we never know what people really feel and think of. I don't mean to invalidate the family's feelings. I believe there might be another conspiracy either. but it is not impossible for people to end their life right after laughing over something silly. some people may have huge mental problems that they can't take any longer and their physical appearance can cover it perfectly and show no sign to us. and to be underlined, telling how fragile they are is not that simple for some of them. I don't mean to generalize people, but I just look up upon myself a few years ago, when life felt so heavy and there was nothing I could do but cry every night. I had to be still cool and happy in front of everyone because that's what people want to see in me. I ever thought to harm myself, but I had a simple thought not to do: it will ruin my skin appearance. suicide? many thoughts had come across my mind that my life would be easy if we didn't need to take it, and could be the best as the last choice, but I had a simple thought not to do: I have not enough good deeds to lead me into heaven and too afraid to be in hell. damn, really reflected a phrase in my bahasa "mati segan, hidup tak mau".
so trust me, what people show in front of us may not be the truth. they will show their daily appearance in front of people who always see their daily appearance. it is possible they could be truthful about their feelings towards people they barely know because they will feel safe. but whatever it is, who am I to judge. so, for those who are in the Unsolved Mystery, may they rest in peace. May the truth be revealed sooner or later.

Everything You Need To Know About Multi-Cloud Architecture
Utilizing the capabilities of two or more public cloud service providers (CSPs) is known as a multi-cloud strategy. For instance, a multi-cloud strategy might include:
• Google Cloud Storage, Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Google Cloud Storage, Azure Virtual Machines, and AWS EC2.
• Google Compute Engine, Azure Files, and AWS Simple Storage Service (S3).
Additionally, on-premises private clouds like private cloud, AWS EC2, and Azure Files may be involved. A cloud strategy can be categorized as multi-cloud as long as it includes cloud services provided by two or more public cloud providers.
Different Types of Multi-Cloud Architecture
An application that is hosted on-premises makes use of cloud services from various cloud platforms in this multi-cloud architectural approach. The application in the example below uses AWS S3 and Azure Files to store data. This application can benefit from the cloud’s scalability by utilizing a multi-cloud architecture, which also helps it avoid vendor lock-in and enhances availability and dependability. The AWS service can continue to allow the application to run properly even if, for example, the Azure service is unavailable.
1. Multi-Cloud Relocation
Using “the lift and shift” method of cloud migration, an application that was previously hosted on-premises is moved to a cloud platform and then set up to use a service from a different cloud platform. The program is moved to an AWS EC2 instance in the example below, however Azure is used for data storage.
2. Refactoring Multiple Clouds
An application is re-architected during a multi-cloud refactoring process in order to support multi-cloud deployment. We have an on-premises application in this scenario. It has been re-architected into two components, and each of those components is deployed on a different cloud platform, either Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Azure.
3. Rebinding Multiple Clouds
Rebinding entails re-architecting the original application for migration to a multi-cloud architecture, similar to refactoring. The distinction is that while one component (or components) is/are moved to different cloud platforms, the other component (or components) is/are left on-premises. These deployments on the second platform are intended to act as failover targets in the event that the initial deployment fails.
4. Cloud Brokerage and Multi-Cloud Rebinding
Fundamentally, this is still multi-cloud rebinding, but with the addition of a cloud brokerage service, which is in charge of integrating multiple multi-cloud infrastructure components and making sure that they are all securely and properly operating.
5. Modernization of Multiple Applications
Multi-application modernization is the process of re-architecting a portfolio of apps in order to deploy them in a multi-cloud architecture, as opposed to only re-architecting a single application for multi-cloud deployment.
This strategy was chosen because, while being re-architected for the cloud, individual applications will still have drawbacks like inconsistent data, duplication of features, greater maintenance costs, etc. Prior to re-architecting them, you can identify possibilities for consolidation and integration that will help the applications work more cohesively after they are deployed in a multi-cloud environment.
What Benefits and Drawbacks Does a Multi-Cloud Architecture Offer?
As previously mentioned, there are a number of additional benefits to having a multi-cloud design. Fair enough, there are a few disadvantages as well, so let’s talk about those as well.
Advantages of Multi-Cloud Architecture
Utilizing a multi-cloud architecture has the following benefits:
Redundancy and dependability: Setting up redundancy across your IT infrastructure for dependability and availability goals can be more successful if you do it in a multi-cloud environment. You can still run off of your other CSP(s) in the worst-case situation when one of your CSP’s entire infrastructure is rendered useless, say as a result of a significant distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) or ransomware assault.
Less reliance on a single vendor: You can prevent vendor lock-in, a situation in which switching to a different cloud is impossible even if you wanted to for compatibility concerns.
Cost reductions: If you’re not completely reliant on a single vendor, it will be simpler to negotiate or secure better pricing for cloud services.

2022’s current trend in Offshore Software Development
Businesses and societies are rapidly digitising and virtualizing in 2022. This COVID-driven revolution will lead to major changes in trends in the IT and software development industries. However, the focus of this digital transformation will be on sustainability and data security. True digital transformation is feasible, and the IT sector has repeatedly demonstrated it. Businesses in the tech industry are adapting to the shifting needs of their customers.
Implementation of Hybrid Working Model:
Issues regarding collaboration and connectivity have come to the light through this pandemic. It has, however, opened up fascinating possibilities for developing employee disconnect remedies. With the help of apps like teams, zoom, google meet, etc., working from home has become a possibility. Businesses that were hesitant to spend money on offshore software development let their fears go. IT businesses are actively hiring offshore engineers to add a new viewpoint to the inside team.
Cloud Integration:
Businesses should thank cloud technologies since it helps put business resources online without a sweat. Due to the abundance of service providers, maintaining cloud systems can be quite inexpensive. The reason why customers can now access private profiles or data with more flexibility is because of cloud technologies. Distributed cloud technologies are being included by software development firms creating cutting-edge solutions. All business data will be shared and preserved online in the upcoming years. The best part is that applications can continue to run with this technology even if one server is unavailable.
Testing with DevOps:
There is one trend on this list that nobody can afford to ignore. A business always strives to supply high-quality products continuously, and DevOps makes this feasible. Through continuous testing and deployment, the method aids software development teams in creating products that are ready for users.

Ecommerce Marketing Trends: Navigating What’s New 2023
Tumblr media
The most significant challenges to growth are acquiring new clients and growing the capacity of individuals who are successful by contributing positively to the world.
To assist you in overcoming the first challenge, we would like to discuss the perspectives that our Growth CFOs have on eCommerce. Working with Chief Marketing Officers and other ecommerce marketing service providers is quite educational for us.
E-commerce is expanding at an unprecedented rate despite the fact that the globe is becoming increasingly digitalized and networked. E-commerce sales throughout the globe exceeded $4.2 trillion in 2020 alone, and according to forecasts, this figure is only going to continue to climb in the years to come.
Let’s learn how the mentioned trends below will optimize more sales in 2023.
Top 07 eCommerce Marketing Trends in 2023
Over the past few years, eCommerce web development has undergone tremendous growth and change. The business policy as a whole is governed by new features, more complex elements, and a more customer-centric approach. The following are several of the most prominent eCommerce trends that online retailers are likely to adopt in 2023.
1. Increasing Mobile Commerce Usage
Mobile commerce encompasses more than simply purchasing products with a smartphone. It encompasses any purchasing activity (engagement with mobile advertisements, interacting with sales representatives, browsing brands on a smartphone, etc.) conducted on a mobile browser or app. And because mobile shopping intersects with other trending ecommerce features such as live stream shopping, augmented reality shopping, and in-app purchases, we anticipate its use to increase in 2023.
What should be done:
Consider your current mobile purchasing offerings and experiment with popular commerce functions.
Consider novel ecommerce product features in order to remain competitive.
2. The Growth And Development Of Social Commerce Persist.
In the year 2022, social commerce dominated. Nonetheless, consumers’ desires are becoming increasingly complex, and they are becoming more discerning in their purchasing decisions, particularly in light of the impending economic decline.
98% of consumers planned to make at least one purchase via social purchasing or influencer commerce in 2022, according to a report by Sprout, and this trend shows no signs of abating. If you have not yet begun selling on social media, there is a good possibility that your competitors are already doing so or will soon.
With the maturation of creator marketing, the next logical step for platforms is to assist creators and businesses in selling to consumers.
Grove Collaborative uses Instagram Shop to offer consumers a unique perusing experience and the ability to check out within the application. They also include instructional videos to demonstrate how to use their products. If users have a query, they can also submit a direct message to Grove Collaborative.
3. Personalised Purchasing Experiences Are Preferred
B2C and B2B customers equally are seeking customised ecommerce experiences and are more likely to remain devoted to retail brands that offer a personalised experience. According to the State of Personalization 2022, nearly half (49%) of consumers indicate that they will likely become repeat customers after a personalised purchasing experience with a retailer.
Personalization may include product recommendations, promotions, and discounts, as well as a unified retail experience across multiple channels (website, mobile, and social). It may also include offering multiple payment methods. If a customer’s favoured method of payment is unavailable, they may abandon the website without concluding the transaction.
Benefits accrue to companies that increase their personalization initiatives. According to BCG’s Personalization Maturity Index, retailers that scale advanced personalization capabilities generate four times as much revenue on average as those with less advanced features.
What should be done:
Scale personalization efforts by providing product recommendations and special offers.
Consider offering modern payment options such as Apple Pay and purchase now, pay later services such as Klarna.
Enhance your social media channels’ customer service as a top priority.
4. AI Will Aid Brands In Gaining A Deeper Understanding Of Consumers
With the rise of personalised purchasing experiences, artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly expanding. AI can accumulate information about the purchasing habits of customers. This can include a customer’s shopping habits, perusing preferences, and time of purchase. This information can be used by brands to provide a personalised purchasing experience.
Similar to your favourite salesperson, but with a technological twist. Instead of your favourite associate, AI can recommend a new pair of shoes or provide information about forthcoming sales that are pertinent to you.
You may be acquainted with the science fiction trope of an artificial intelligence robot acquiring human emotions. We are not quite there yet, and we may never get there.
But more practical AI and customer service use cases are emerging. Despite the fact that not every AI scenario is successful, businesses have employed AI to compose responses for more practical customer service interactions, such as searching for an item’s status. As consumer journeys are expected to become more complex over time, the use of AI will increase efficiency.
As a machine learns to communicate more effectively, brands can teach it to provide more complex customer service and recommend products based on a customer’s preferences and moods.
How to take action:
Investigate the top use cases for AI in ecommerce.
Experiment with AI tools in order to gain practical knowledge.
Pay close attention to news pertaining to artificial intelligence and machine learning.
5. Zero-party data and privacy are on the minds of consumers.
Some consumers desire a personalised experience, while others worry about their data and privacy rights. More consumers are aware that ecommerce sites collect data, but they do not always understand how this data will be used or if it poses a danger to them. Regarding the benefits of big data and how it affects personalised purchasing experiences, opinions are divided.
In light of the fact that leading companies such as Google intend to discontinue support for third-party cookies by 2023, organisations are starting to employ zero-party data. Collecting data directly from consumers with their consent is an attempt to avoid the problems associated with third-party cookies.
5. AR And VR Improve Online Purchasing Encounters
According to our Q1 2023 Pulse survey, 48% of marketers plan to use metaverse-related Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), or Extended Reality (XR) technologies. In the next 12 months, VR/AR/XR will play a significant role in how consumers interact with brands, according to 43% of consumers.
The phrase “try before you buy” takes on a whole new meaning with augmented reality (AR) commerce, which uses 3D mapping to allow consumers to test out products or preview experiences prior to making a purchase. AR has been a game-changer across industries, particularly in the fashion, cosmetics, and home décor sectors, because it places the product or service at the customers’ fingertips. To take advantage of AR commerce, brands do not even require physical storefronts.
