#because of being able to transform and copy opponents
Note
why dont you like the church of satan? im not a satan simp i promise i'm just genuinely curious because idk anything about them
i'm glad you asked! during my debate with the CoS simps on twitter i dug up a bunch of evidence of the Church of Satan's right-wing leanings, which was wasted on those losers because obviously they're not going to concede anything ever, but i'm glad to have a more receptive audience here.
so, to start with, the most well-known pieces of evidence relating to this are A: Anton Lavey said at one point that the CoS gives people "Ayn Rand with trappings" and B: there's a segment in the satanic bible called "the book of satan" which is outright copied from the proto-fascist philosophical tract "Might is Right", written by Ragnar Redbeard.
now, apparently CoS simps have taken it upon themselves to go around bothering anyone who brings this up, arguing that Anton Lavey only said that thing about Ayn Rand once so it probably doesn't mean anything (i am skeptical that he did only say this once but i haven't been able to find smoking gun evidence of him saying it other times) and the parts which copy from Ragnar Redbeard directly are only a few pages out of the satanic bible so, again, it probably doesn't mean anything. (ignoring that the influence of "Might it Right" is woven throughout the entirety of Anton's work, hardly limited to the direct quotes.)
so, to prepare my readers for if they get hassled by some CoS loser for stating the obviously correct fact that the CoS is right-wing, here's some more evidence to that effect, under a cut because i am merciful and this is going to get very long and very ugly.
here's Boyd Rice, then a major figure in the Church of Satan, saying that the principle of satanism is "let the master be the master and the slave be the slave, and never the two shall meet." this was in the documentary "Speak of the Devil", created by Nick Bougas, also a prominent figure in the CoS at the time. Nick Bougas is more well known by his nom de plume "A Wyatt Mann", aka the guy who drew those old nazi comics that became memes ("le happy merchant" etc).
here's some quotes from the official website of the CoS:
Satanists see the social structure of humanity as being stratified, thus each person reaches a level commensurate with the development (or lack thereof) of their natural talents. The principle of the survival of the strong is advocated on all levels of society, from allowing an individual to stand or fall, to even letting those nations that cannot handle themselves take the consequences of this inability. Any assistance on all levels will be on a “quid pro quo” basis. There would be a concommitant reduction in the world’s population as the weak are allowed to experience the consequences of social Darwinism. Thus has nature always acted to cleanse and strengthen her children. This is harsh, but that is the way of the world. We embrace reality and do not try to transform it into some utopia that is contrary to the very fabric of existence. Practical application of this doctrine would see the complete cessation of the welfare system, an end to no-strings attached foreign aid and new programs to award and encourage gifted individuals in all fields to pursue personal excellence. A meritocracy will replace the practice of such injustices as affirmative action and other programs designed to punish the able and reward the undeserving.
Satanists also seek to enhance the laws of nature by concentrating on fostering the practice of eugenics.
but if you REALLY want to get into the ugly shit that the CoS has been promoting, here's some excerpts from the magazine "The Black Flame", which the CoS published throughout the late 80's and through the 90's:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
^that last one's from an interview with Lavey himself
and to bring things back around, here's another interview with Boyd Rice:
youtube
on the whole, while the CoS may present itself as an opponent of right-wing christianity, it's ultimately just controlled opposition, pushing largely the same right-wing agenda that the christian right was. it's funny that people never seemed to ask why christian conservatives like Bob Larson were always spending time interviewing, or being interviewed by, the Church of Satan if they were supposedly such mortal enemies.

Why do you say that the Dragon Ball Super manga makes the DB characters be so OOC? And while we're on the subject, what do you think of the DBS manga as a whole?
Gosh... Where to begin?
Toyo's Bardock is not like Toriyama's nor Toei's Bardock. Toriyama's Bardock from the DBS anime continuity's DBS: Broly says that he wants to save/protect something for once and thats when he saves Goku. Toyo's Bardock is not part of the anime continuity. And his Bardock saves other people before he saves Goku. Fans cry about how Toriyama's Bardock was a "nice guy" for saving his son and caring about his wife, but they say nothing about Z Bardock caring for his crew and then caring for his son. But Toyo's Bardock is truly where the "nice guy" idea can be apllied. Toyo doesn't undsrstand the characters.
Toyo's Goku wants to be more Saiyan and acts like he doesn't understand Saiyan pride, meanwhile Toroyama & Toei's DBS Goku views himself as an Earthling but accepts his Saiyan side as well as understands what Saiyan pride is.
Toyo's Vegeta overly obsessed with "Kakarot" to the point he cares more about defeating Goku than he cares about protecting his family. He gets transformations handed to him; Super Saiyan Blue Evolution & the out of nowhere Ultra Ego. Vegeta copies everything Goku does even with naming Ultra Ego after Ultra Instinct & has never "went down his own path" as so many fans claim. He never directly speaks to present Trunks ever in the manga. DBS anime Vegeta is written far better. Toyo's Vegeta is just becoming an edgy Goku clone. And not a well written clone.
Toyo's Gohan trains like Vegeta by going in the Gravity Room. That's not Gohan. He trains like how his father & Piccolo trained him. The way his ultimate for works contradicts how it was originally established; Elder Kai says turn it on like SSJ, but Toyo's Gohan just doesn't transform at all and has that power. The DBS anime does it correctly in having Gohan transform into that power.
Toyo's Piccolo is an ignorant idiot who claimed that Vegeta never underestimated his opponents when that is literally what Vegeta does in almost every major fight we've seen him in.
Toyo's Android 17 is cold, dismissive and didn't develop like the DBS anime version did. Manga 17's power increase is said to be almost SSB level from little to no training. An a$$pull. Meanwhile anime 17 is not SSB level and even says Freeza's power is amazing. Anime 17 keeps up in the ToP mostly due to infinate stamina and being able to fight at max power without getting tired. I won't even talk about the Pseudo Cell Jrs stuff. Link for that here.
Toyo's Android 18 cold and hateful towards Krillin (while the anime made her loving towards Krillin). Stupid at times too. One thing that applies for both Toyo's 17 & 18 is when they say they have no life energy. That makes zero sense due to them being living beings. If they are living, they have life energy. If 17 & 18 can contribute to the Genki Dama, they have life energy. Toyo doesn't understand these characters. He makes 18 behave like an emotionless robot & as if she is literally a machine because he says she has no life energy. Did Toyo watch the Funimationextremely terrible & innacurate Funimation DUB of GT where Krillin says that 17 hated hated Gero for giving him human emotions? Because Toyo writes 17 & 18 as if they are robots given a little bit of human emotion.
Toyo's Krillin is always disrespected. Toyo calls him ugly, cowardly, weak, useless, & has Goku say to Krillin that he is small & only good for running away, ect. And Krillin's wife is mean towards him. (Seems like Toyo took a note from GT on how to write Krillin & 18 terribly.) Krillin has always been brave and fights to save his friends; saved Gohan, Vegeta, Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, 18 and others multiple times. He has skills that makes his opponents surprised by his talent despite the power gap. Toyo's Krillin is done terribly and as iff all of the things in DB & Z never happened. Where the anime has Krillin regain his fighting spirit, Toyo's Krillin is said to be even weaker because he hasn't trained in a long time.
Toyo's Beerus finds value in learning Ultra Instinct and even tapped into it to outdo multiple Gods of Destruction. Thsn later he's written to believe that a Destroyer God's techniques are better than an Angel's technique. The same Angel that is his teacher whom Beerus was trying to learn UI from. Not to mention other Gods of Destruction see the value in Ultra Instinct being above GoD abilities. Ultea Instinct is an Angelic technique, so why would Beerus change from wanting the next level of power above Gods of Destruction to thinking his own power is better than an Angel's and can actually compete? To make it seem that Vegeta is now equal to Goku. Yup. Toyo's Beerus changed to make Toyo's Vegeta look impressive.
There are other examples too, but I'd be here forever listing how badly Toyotaro writes the characters. And beyond the characters, the storytelling is just bad & extremely inconsistent.
So, what do I think of the theDBS manga as a whole?
The DBS manga is not worth reading at all.
I only read it nowadays so I can compare it to the far better DBS anime continuity & to point out to ppl how the two continuities are not the same.

Kisaragi Gentaro Befriends the Universe - From Space Barney to a Copy of America's Ass
Gentarou found himself in the battle against Thanos, and of course, he helps them defeat Space Barney.
A/N: Special Thanks to @flaim-ita @dangerouscommiesubversive because their posts inspired this installment. Special thanks to @rainixdra for helping me make sense with some events within Endgame.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
FFN I Ao3
---------
Gentaro exited the dimensional veil that the members of Foundation X conjured as he chased them, and the sight of a full-scale battle across an open field greeted him.
The combatants looked like the typical monsters he and his fellow Kamen Riders fought on a daily basis against humans or at least people who looked like the typical human being, humanoids as Kengo had described himself and Nadeshiko.
Up above were flying creatures, a group of them could be called robots, and the others were winged animals that had people riding them. They were fighting gigantic worm-like creatures that wreaked havoc across the battlefield.
The most troublesome in the whole scene were the things that were floating above the flying combatants and flying worms. They were the typical spaceships commonly found in sci-fi movies. There were a lot of smaller spaceships and a large one right above them.
All of the spaceships were firing lasers wherever on the ground, not caring if they hit their friends or their enemies.
Gentaro noticed that the orange circles above some people were protecting the fighters on the ground from the lasers that rained from above.
He nodded to himself and decided to destroy the spaceships in the sky.
He utilized his warping ability and inserted the Drill Astroswitch into his belt and activated it after pressing something on his chest plate.
"Rocket on."
"Drill on."
Fourze's right hand was changed into an orange rocket while his left leg transformed into a yellow drill.
"Limit Break"
"Rider Rocket Drill Kick!" Gentaro shouted
He used the propulsion of his rocket-hand and his suit and the penetrating power of his drill to deal a huge amount of damage to the spaceships, which were promptly finished off by a woman in fire who just plowed through all of them like they were butter.
As soon as the big spaceship and many of the smaller ones were destroyed, Gentaro equipped himself with the Launcher Module with the power of the Freeze Module and began firing missiles that froze anything it touched.
As he entered free fall, he immediately fired some freeze-powered missiles on the waterspout someone was maintaining to keep the place from being flooded and froze it, creating a barrier and pillar of ice between the lake and the ground below.
As soon as he landed he fired more freeze-powered missiles on the water in front of a person and promptly froze the entire lake to keep its pressure from destroying the ice wall that had been made by freezing the waterspout.
The person, someone who was like Haruto – Kamen Rider Wizard, nodded at him to which Fourze responded with his right thumb up.
Suddenly, everyone felt a huge shockwave and it knocked everyone down, including the Wizard that Gentaro had helped a moment ago.
Scanning the battlefield, Gentaro found three people fighting a person, a person who towered over their opponents and was purple all over, with everything they've got.
Another person joined the fray, and it was the lady on fire that had destroyed the spaceships earlier.
"We do not, and under any circumstances, are we going to let that purple giant get that gauntlet." The Haruto-like person floated beside Gentaro.
Gentaro would have asked if he could befriend the towering person, but from the looks of things, that person has already made his choice and Gentaro has decided on his.
Alongside the magician, Gentaro propelled himself towards the five people fighting, overtaking the magician's speed. The purple giant was able to throw all of his opponents away from him, then made an attempt at the gauntlet with glowing rocks on it.
"Giant Foot On."
Gentaro inserted another switch that caused his right foot to transform into an oversized red boot and immediately stomped on the ground. The resulting stomp materialized a construct of a really large boot stepping on the giant's back, knocking him down face-first on the ground.
The purple giant attempted to get up once more, only for Fourze to reapply another large foot on the being's back.
A man in a blue, white, and red suit immediately tried to grab the gauntlet with a lot of glowing ovals on it, only to fail as it was hoisted in the air by an invisible force.
"Winch on."
Fourze's left hand was equipped with a winch as soon as he activated another switch into his driver and clasped the gauntlet with his hook, preventing it from going towards the enemy.
---------
Gentaro found himself out of his Rider suit standing on water in a vast open space filled with orange light. He was facing five differently colored gems floating in front of him, giving off an ethereal glow.
He was in awe of what he was seeing.
He silently vowed to make them his friends.
---------
Gentaro shook his head as he found himself back in the battle with the hook of his winch holding onto the gauntlet with the infinity stones.
A person in red and gold armor, who was most likely this world's Kamen Rider, attempted to get to the gauntlet only to get thrown away by the same force that was carrying the gauntlet.
With Fourze's attention on the infinity stones, the purple giant, Thanos, grabbed the winch and pulled it, forcing him on a direct path to his opponent, and threw him to the man he assumed to be a Kamen Rider.
"Really?" Gentaro could hear the exasperation in the man's voice. "Not only did Space Barney throw me, he decided to throw discount Buzz Lightyear on top of me? I swear, the disrespect."
"Discount Buzz Lightyear?" Gentaro couldn't help but ask.
"Look, Buzz, I don't know who you are but we need to get that gauntlet away from the purple guy."
The man instructed. The man pointed at Thanos who was fighting the lady in flames.
"I have a plan, I noticed that you too have a propulsion system like mine," The man started. "On the count of three, we rush at him and our propulsion should be enough to push him away a few steps."
"Poru-poru-what?"
"The air coming out of your suit?"
"Oh, that!"
"Did you make that su- No that's for later, you get the plan?"
Gentaro simply flashed his right thumb.
"Good, one, two, three." The man began. "Go!"
Fourze and the other Rider propelled themselves at Thanos when a blue portal appeared behind the purple alien, sending the three of them out into space.
In hindsight, Gentaro should have probably told the other Kamen Rider about his ability to open warp gates before using his ability to transport the three of them a bit further away from Earth's satellites, but he didn't.
Gentaro was actually impressed that the other Rider was able to get his bearings and began firing lasers from every inch of their suit just to put some distance between Earth and the alien. He followed the other Rider's lead and was also firing missiles at the alien.
Thanos proved to be a powerful opponent and was able to endure all the hits he took from Fourze's missiles and the other Rider's lasers. He was able to fashion himself something to defend himself from the trash that were floating in space and eventually used them to propel himself, with the aid of the explosions from Fourze's missiles, to both masked warriors.
Gentaro was able to dodge the incoming alien but the other Rider wasn't so lucky. He did not hesitate to open another warp gate back to where they came from because he knew if he did not, the other Rider and Thanos would have burned when they fall back to Earth.
Fourze pushed the two fighting combatants into the portal he just created and found himself rolling onto the ground from where they were fighting earlier.
Thanos was able to gain his composure and saw that the gauntlet was in another person's hands. He immediately grabbed the man in red and gold armor and had forgone beating the man to a pulp in favor of throwing him to the person holding the gauntlet.
Gentaro realized what Thanos was going to do and immediately rushed towards the purple giant in an effort to stop him only for him to be thwarted and be thrown to the other side and two more were thrown on top of him for good measure: one was wearing a red cape and the other was the same man in a blue, red, and white suit earlier.
Thanos grabbed the gauntlet and immediately wore it. He was about to snap his fingers when he was kneed to the ground by the flaming lady.
Thanos attempted to retaliate but the flaming lady was overpowering him. She floated over him while still holding his gauntlet-ed hand and pulled her fist with the intention of punching him to the ground.
Thanos retrieved one of the stones from the gauntlet and enclosed it in his free hand and punched the flaming lady a few yards away towards a huge stone debris, cracking it.
With no more interruptions, Thanos returned the stone back to the gauntlet and fixed it on his hand.
The only Rider in the area, whose helmet had been removed in all the chaos, tackled Thanos to the ground only to be backhanded aside by the purple being's free hand.
"I am inevitable." Thanos declared.
The towering alien raised his gauntlet-ed hand.
And
Snapped his fingers.
But
Nothing happened.
Thanos snapped his fingers once more, to no avail. He looked at the back of his gauntlet only to find the stones missing.
"And" The helmetless Rider started as he raised his right hand.
The stones were on the Rider's right arm, slowly but surely snaking their way up toward the man's armored hand.
"I"
The helmetless Rider glared at Thanos.
"Am"
The stones were positioned into their spots and glowed as power coursed through the man's body.
"Ironman."
The man snapped his fingers.
The effect was instantaneous.
All of Thanos's forces began to disintegrate to dust that would fly freely with the wind. From the damaged spaceship to the flying creatures to the number of mook soldiers the purple alien had.
All of them turned to dust.
Gentaro watched as the two people who were thrown on top of him regained consciousness and stood up.
As Gentaro watched the enemies disintegrate into dust, he realized something.
He immediately placed a switch on his driver that transformed his left leg into a faucet and then pressed something on his chest.
"Water On."
"Medical On."
"Rocket On."
Fourze flew up and sprayed water all over the battlefield, with the water module equipped on his left foot, and the rocket module on his right hand. He made sure that his fellow Kamen Rider would be doused with water more than the others.
Kengo had explained to him that if he combined the effects of the medical module with the water or even the net module, it could provide cure or relief to anyone suffering, and right now, he's hoping that every one of his buds would be alright once they were doused with water.
The part of the armor that housed the Infinity Stones broke off of the man's armor as the four people in front of Fourze's supposed fellow Kamen Rider were shedding tears with smiles on their faces.
Hopefully, Gentaro prevented the worst-case scenario.
---------
Gentaro woke up and found himself lying on a very comfortable bed. He could hear people talking in English.
This fact confused him, before the only language he can hear was Japanese but now he was hearing things in English.
"Ah, he's awake." A man in a white coat and blue button-up shirt went inside his room. "Tell me, do you know where you are?"
Gentaro couldn't understand a lick of anything that was said.
"Me do not know English." Gentaro replied with the meager amount of English words he knew.
Gentaro could see the confusion on the man's face, if he remembered correctly, he was the person who was like Haruto and did all that magic stuff from the water spout…
Wait, how long was he unconscious?
Hmm, that's strange…" The man continued on, not that Gentaro could understand any word that was said. "I certainly remember hearing you speaking in English during the battle, I'll have to find someone who's fluent in Japanese."
As soon as the man in a white lab coat, blue button-up shirt, black slacks, and black shoes left the room, Gentaro was able to get a look around the room he was in.
The room was all white, it looked like he was in the hospital. There were hints of color inside the room, from the painting beside the door to a gray or silver thing right in front of him.
The clothes he wore while he was in the Kyurangers' world were gone and were replaced by a white gown.
Suddenly, a bald woman entered the room and greeted Gentaro, holding up a silver tablet.
"Hello, I'm Aneka, I was told to help you with the language barrier."
"I'm Kisaragi Gentaro, do you all know I was the one inside the sky-blue rocket-like suit?"
"That's correct," Aneka nodded as she swiped on her tablet. "Nice to meet you, Kisaragi-san."
"Let me introduce myself, I'm Kisaragi Gentaro, Kamen Rider Fourze." He ended his introduction by slick-ing the side of his hair backward before offering his hand.
Out of courtesy, Aneka took the hand only to be flabbergasted when she was subjected to Gentaro's signature handshake. It was like the special handshake that the King and Princess had.
"If I may be so bold to ask, Kisaragi-san, what were you doing at the Avenger's compound?" Aneka asked.
"Ah, that? I was chasing some bad guys from another universe and the next thing I know was getting involved in the fight against Thanos." Gentaro answered. "My friends were having so much trouble and I could, not, just not help."
"I see…" Aneka hummed when something from on her body rang. "Sorry, I need to attend to other matters."
"It's fine." Gentaro offered a smile.
---------
Sometime later, Gentaro met with some of the universe's heroes, and was introduced to them, and were also subjected to Gentaro's signature handshake. Everything was made possible with Aneka's assistance of breaching the language barrier.
With his translator's help, Gentaro was able to tell everyone what he had told Aneka earlier.
"Eh? He's not a Kamen Rider?" Gentarou exclaimed.
"He's called Ironman," Aneka translated for her king. "Although I can see why you'd mistake him as one considering you wear armor similar to his."
"We need to rebuild the machine and return the stones from when we took them." A hulking green giant stated.
"We know, Bruce, but with Tony out of commission, it's going to have to take a backseat." The man in a blue, white, and red suit shook his head.
"Besides, when the Japanese's belt fell off, it stuck to the stones like glue and anyone who tries to remove one from the other will get shocked."
"Belt? What about my belt?"
"So when your sky-blue suit disappeared, the ornate belt you were wearing fell off from your waist and was stuck to the hand armor that housed the infinity stones," Aneka translated for the green giant. "Anyone who tries to remove the belt from the hand armor was getting mild shocks."
"Can I take a look?"
"Dr. Strange did say he was in good health, just exhausted, we should consult him before making a decision." T'challa stated.
"The king says that we need to see someone and ask if you could look at the stones and the belt." Aneka summarized her king's words.
---------
As soon as Gentaro looked at the Fourze Driver, he immediately knew what his next move was, and that was to remove the Fourze Driver from the table, which he immediately did.
"Wha-'
"Oh, everyone's speaking in Japanese now."
"Interesting," The Hulk hummed. "So that belt acts as a universal translator for you and enables you to speak the language of who you are talking to."
"I can hear him speaking in Xhosa." T'challa nodded his head.
"That certainly proves a point." Dr. Strange nodded.
"As I understand, you came from another world and were chasing your brand of villains to this one before getting involved in the fight against Thanos." Captain America voiced out.
"That's right," Gentaro grinned. "I wasn't aware of what they were doing until they kidnapped me so that I could aid in their escape in the future."
"It's no doubt because of that blue portal that appeared during your fight with Thanos." Dr. Strange concluded.
"Do you have an idea on how to track the villains you were chasing?"
"Sadly, no." Gentaro admitted. "I'll only be able to track them once they use their ability to travel to another universe."
"It's not magic?"
"No, it's not." Gentaro shook his head.
"Tell us about these villains that you were chasing." Falcon prompted.
And with that Gentaro told everyone in the room about an organization called Foundation X and how they were called the merchants of death.
"So Hydra wannabes." Falcon stated his distaste.
"It's bad enough that they have access to things that revive monsters and generals that have already been defeated."
"Rest up, Gentaro," The Hulk patted the Japanese teacher. "We'll help you in tracking this Foundation X."
---------
Days passed, and Gentaro finally got a lead about Foundation X. They had claimed to be members of Damage Control but they matched the clothing Gentaro said they would wear as their uniform.
Some people had contacted the Avengers and the King of Wakanda about suspicious individuals who fit Gentaro's description of Foundation X.
Both Captain America and Ironman, once he was briefed on what's happening, suggested that they inform the US government about this group of white-clothed men because Foundation X has a chance of being capable of replicating what was done to Captain America.
Apparently, Captain America had relatively the same story as the first among the Kamen Riders, Kamen Rider Ichigou.
"Fighting an army of America's ass isn't my kind of hobby." Ironman quipped.
Once everything got settled, including making sure that Ironman stayed in bed, Dr. Strange made a circular orange portal that led them back to the Avengers' compound.
The battlefield where the fight against Thanos happened.
"Of course, Fourze is here!" A man in white clothes cussed.
"The sample we got should be enough." Another one yelled. "We need to go!"
"Oh no, you don't!" Gentaro exclaimed. "Henshin!"
Gentaro transformed into Fourze Base states and rushed towards the Foundation X grunts when monstrous beings erupted from the ground.
"This time, they're using Yummies?"
"I believe you haven't told us about Yummies." The Hulk prompted.
"They're not the enemies I faced back when I was really active in fighting against them but from what I've been told, we are fighting against white Yummies and they're born from human desires."
"Does nothing happen to the people they're born from?" Dr. Strange questioned as he blocked a strike with a solid magic circle.
"No, no side-effects to them."
"They're not sentient?" Hawkeye asked.
"No."
"Very well."
What followed next was the destruction of the white yummy army that the members of Foundation X haphazardly made. Their numbers thinned before any of them could step off of the Avengers compound.
They were cornered.
Surrender yourselves, we have your group surrounded," Captain America stepped forward. "We promise nothing harmful will come to you if you surrender."
"This is a good experiment as any," One Foundation X member hissed at his companion. "Quick give me one vial of the blood."
"But sir, it'd only be destroyed with Fourze around!" The other hissed back.
"I know that, we're just stalling for time."
As the Avengers and Fourze waited for the cornered Foundation X members to respond, they were immediately on guard when one of them smeared some red liquid onto a Cell Medal and inserted it into his head.
A blue, red, and white yummy was born from the foundation X member. It staggered forward before it shouted and rushed toward Captain America.
"This one is quite strong," Captain America grunted. "A lot stronger than the ones we fought earlier."
Suddenly, more yummies erupted from the ground and distracted everyone from the fleeing Foundation X members.
"They are weak but they are harder to destroy." Black Panther commented.
"They get knocked down but they stand back up." The Hulk agreed.
"I'm worried about the Yummy Captain America is fighting," Dr. Strange blasted one yummy away from him. "They did something for it to be able to match his strength."
"Go!" The Hulk grabbed the three yummies that pursued Dr. Strange. "Analyze it."
Dr. Strange nodded as he flew towards Captain America and the yummy he was fighting and moved his magic-circle-engulfed hands in an attempt to make sense of the enemy Captain America was fighting.
"No!" Doctor Strange gasped.
"What's wrong?" Black Panther kicked two yummies away from him.
"That yummy is the same as Captain America, a super soldier." Doctor Strange assisted the star-spangled hero and blasted it away, giving Captain America some kind of breather.
"What do you mean?" Hawkeye shot three yummies in their heads.
"The red liquid it was smeared with earlier contained Captain America's blood."
"Which means it's the same as a Super Soldier." The Hulk concluded.
"Cosmic On."
"Leave him to me." Gentaro stated as his suit changed color from white to sky-blue.
Fourze spun in place and slashed the yummies he was fighting, destroying them in an explosion. He then rushed to the yummy Captain America was fighting as a blue portal opened up behind the yummy and it inside the portal.
As they exited the portal, Gentaro found himself in space, with his opponent flailing to get to somewhere but to no avail.
An orange rocket was equipped on Gentaro's hand and a yellow drill was equipped on his leg.
"Rider Rocket Drill Kick!" Gentaro exclaimed
Fourze used the propulsion of his rocket to rush toward his enemy and used his drill-equipped leg to pierce through his enemy.
As soon as Gentaro was back on Earth, he was greeted by the Avengers destroying the yummies in fiery explosions as a team, ending it with the Hulk punching them.
Gentaro scanned the field, and sure enough, he found the foundation X members scurrying toward a helicopter.
However before any of them could even board the helicopter, Gentaro saw The Hulk leap and landed on the helicopter's tail all the while grabbing the pilot and co-pilot's clothes and pulling them to safety.
Another orange portal opened and came out another person.
"Col. Rhodes," Black Panther greeted.
"King T'challa," The suited man nodded. "I got the okay for keeping these foundation X stooges in Wakanda custody."
"You can refer to Ayo on securing these people."
"As you wish, King T'challa." A voice gave her ascent as multiple women in red and gold garb began taking the members of Foundation X away."
"That was a nice save!" Gentaro grinned.
"All in a day's work for a military personnel," The named Col. Rhodes shook his head. "I still haven't thanked you for saving Tony's life."
"Of course! Anything for my buds!" Gentaro grinned as he stretched out his hand.
"Buds?"
Col. Rhodes cautiously accepted the offered hand only to be thrown for a loop when he wasn't greeted with a normal handshake, but rather a unique one.
"Don't worry, Col." Hawkeye stepped forward. "We were just as surprised as you when we were subjected to his brand of handshake at first."
"Okay?"
---------
"So what have we got on the canvasses here?" An unarmored Ironman walked into a room watching an interrogation of Foundation X members.
"Canvasses?" Captain America, wearing civilian clothes, questioned.
"Them?" Ironman pointed at the people getting interrogated with a raised eyebrow. "These men in white doing some voodoo shit or something.
"They're tough nuts to crack," Hawkeye commented. "They haven't said a word, not even in a different language."
"Are we sure they didn't take any pills to silence themselves?"
"One attempted but Dr. Strange managed to get all of the pills inside their mouths and destroyed them."
"What about you, rocket head, what's the deal about them?"
"Rocket head? Me?" Gentaro pointed at himself at the new nickname he received.
"Who else? You're the one who looks like a rocket with your armor on." Ironman replied cheekily.
"Weren't you informed?" Captain America frowned.
"I was, but I want the story to come from him." Ironman pointed at Gentaro.
"Me?"
Tony nodded.
Gentaro obliged a retold everyone how he came to this universe.
"So a multiverse, huh?"
"I don't know about whatever-verse, but they took me from my Earth so that they can try to control me and help them escape every time."
"That is a good strategy," Ironman nodded. "You have the power to create portals to wherever you want to go, you would make a fancy getaway person."
"How did you escape them?" Dr. Strange asked.
"My friends in that universe saved me." Gentaro grinned.
Before any further discussion could occur, a Wakandan interrogator was slammed to the wall as an aurora curtain appeared in front of Gentaro and the others.
"What in the-"
"Did you lot at least get the samples I asked of you?" A person exited the veil and broke the captured Foundation X member free from their restraints.
"Had to use one of the American Captain's," The captured member rubbed their wrists in an attempt to ease the pain on them. "Fourze's here and he's given the heroes of this world intel about us."
"I knew we shouldn't have even attempted to use a Shocker Rider for this," The other member growled. "No matter, we still have more blood samples from the American Captain to use, where are the other samples?"
The captured member simply pointed at the table that was littered with small vials of debris, that presumably contained DNA samples of the world's heroes.
"On no, you don't!" Gentaro burst through the wall, after transforming into his white suit, and immediately grabbed the hand that was going for the vials of debris.
"Kamen Rider Fourze," the man observed. "I knew it was a mistake attempting to use one of you Riders for this operation."
"And I'm thankful for it, this way you can't hurt any of my buds any longer." Gentaro growled out.
"Grab the vials!"
"Oh no, you don't!"
The Avengers made short work of the attackers and neutralized all of them.
T'challa made sure his subject was okay before asking someone else to bring the interrogator somewhere to be treated.
"Tch, these white yummies are so weak." The Foundation X member fighting Gentaro clicked their tongue. "No matter, we just need to overwhelm them with numbers."
As if on cue, more and more yummies, filed out of the aurora veil and began attacking the Avengers. Whenever one of the yummies fall, three more took it's place.
"We need to cut through them!" Black Panther called out as he unleashed the stored kinetic energy from within his suit, blowing the yummies away from him.
"What about the people inside them?"
"They're separate from their hosts." Gentaro assured Iron Man.
"Is it alright?" Ironman couldn't help but ask.
"We'll suffer more casualties if we don't."
"You asked for it," Iron Man stated as he fired a laser blast through their enemies, piercing through the wall of the interrogation room.
"We need to get out of here!"
"Not until we get those vials."
As the combatants fought, someone sneakily walked past everyone who was fighting and went toward the pedestal where the vials were deposited.
Captain America immediately noticed that someone was by the pedestal and immediately threw his shield towards the wall and made it ricochet towards the pedestal, forcing the Foundation X member to duck, and destroyed the vials as a result.
"No!" The Foundation X member Gentaro was fighting kicked Fourze out of his way and made his way back to the veil, releasing the captive Foundation X members along the way. "This was a failure, we need to fall back, now!"
"Wha- but!"
"Now!"
Everyone in white uniform nodded as they escaped to the veil.
The Avengers attempted to give chase but a new wave of yummies exited the veil and began to overwhelm the Avengers.
"Decade on."
Fourze's one leg turned magenta with Decade's face on his knee. He stomped once and stopped the decay of the curtain. As soon as he made sure that his ticket of following the enemies was in place, he immediately helped the Avengers clean up and defeated all of the yummies until nothing came through.
"You should follow them," Black Panther offered.
"Don't worry about us, we'll handle things here." Iron Man assured.
"Are you sure?"
"Buds help each other out, right?" Hawkeye gave Fourze a big smile.
"Thanks a lot!" Gentaro bowed at the heroes of this world before chasing after the members of Foundation X through the aurora curtain.
"So, Gandalf, what do you think?"
Everyone was finished fighting their respective sets of monsters, which soon caused mini explosions, leaving nothing in their wake.
"I am a sorcerer, not a wizard, Stark," Dr. Strange rolled his eyes. "As for your question, I know that their means of travel to different transportation isn't mystical in nature."
"Alien origin, then?" Professor Hulk offered.
"He did claim to be rescued by aliens." Hawkeye added.
"No," Dr. Strange shook his head. "It's hard to pinpoint, but that power originated in a different world. It's like there's a rift in space and you just arrived at your destination."
"So it's like your means of transportation, then?" Black Panther asked.
"Yes, but instead of places in this universe, it's other universes." Dr. Strange nodded.

One Year Later - Sygna Suit Lusamine
One year ago, we entered December to quite the reveal.  Sygna Suit Lusamine was a thing, with a gorgeous outfit and power like the meta had never quite seen before.  As time has passed, power levels have gone up considerably, so the question remains: is SS Lusamine still a top contender?  Or has she fallen off? To cut straight to the chase: nothing in this game has been as immediately nerfed as SS Lusamine.
SS Lusamine's main power is spread damage.  It only works after first sync, so it's a bit slow, but it effectively copied the same powers as Anni N, hitting every opponent for maximum damage.  The tradeoff was that Lusamine had actual stats backing herself up, and her first sync included a transformation that boosted every stat 20%.  This made Lusamine ridiculous, with a major reason being that, despite limited move damage multipliers, she was a nightmare in CS. Even the transition to 10k Master Mode didn't faze her.
But Gauntlet sure as hell did.  Much like the weather duo, Lusamine ran smack into the problem of being a Striker in a Tech nuker's game.  She wasn't quite as thoroughly reliant on a field effect as those two, making her a lot more flexible and still potentially dangerous, but it was pretty clear she wasn't as good in the 3v1 meta as the 3v3.
And this was just the big bat that she took like a month later.  SS Lusamine honestly came in with flaws.  Her setup was three turns to capped offenses, but this came with two costs.  One was a speed debuff on herself, which is really not ideal when spamming a four-bar move.   Bianca giving accelerated gauge under Psychic Terrain helped a lot, but it was still more of a hit than you want to take. The other?  Her trainer move gives -2 cooldown count.  Meaning without another -1, it's useless, but with another -1, Lusamine can't buff to cap before first sync, which she needs to take, making her support reliant.  SS Lusamine is, for any fast ramping comp, pretty demanding of a Team Sharp Entry at minimum.  This is a fairly significant limitation, as it means strict teambuilding requirements, or losing out on one of her potentially best benefits.
Fortunately, the common grid war would introduce someone who was an ideal partner in Marley, whose Team Sharp Entry and speed buffs made Lusamine effectively unstoppable.  The added ability to remove and guard against status helped in these longer matches as well.  Anni May would also drop, providing another option to supply Terrain, but this time being able to debuff special attack and lean into Lusamine's solid bulk on transformation.  There's also Lucian,   And of course, there's always Head Start as a lucky skill, to supply immediate fast-ramping.  There have been some good partnerships she's established.
Unfortunately, it doesn't feel like quite enough, given how unbelievably outclassed she now is, thanks to Sygna Suit Steven.  Deoxys dunks on Necrozma like no one's business.  The raw sync damage, even on-type, is such a wide gap that Steven's dealing like twice as much damage.  Note that Steven doesn't even have multipliers on his grid for sync.  To say nothing of the massive power behind Psycho Boost's 200BP.  This guy really emphasized that you want your moves to have accuracy problems, because the unit will always be handed a means of removing that accuracy problem, and therefore get better damage with no drawback.  "But he's a Tech, surely Lusamine still has a niche with her spread damage!"  His Attack form not only has all the Tech sync buffs, but also gets an AoE sync.  It's effectively double EX for free.  Lusamine has exactly nothing on SS Steven, and it's frankly hilarious how hard they removed her from relevance.
SS Lusamine is still a powerhouse unit.  Nothing's substantially changed, and this is a game where "outclassed" is not synonymous with "bad."  SS Lusamine is still capable of destroying stages in CS, and can handle Gauntlet with minimal support, unlike the weather duo who are the pinnacle of disappointment for me in that mode.  I think it's just staggering to see just how hard SS Steven went in comparison to her, and how limiting the old meta was. I kinda miss it.  While it was a produce of its time by now, I think the emphasis of on-type damage made sense.  Raw stats and base power could carry you through off-type clears, but by and large you wanted types to be focused.  I think there was merit in having limitations to raw damage, because now we have nonsense that blitzes like every stage. SS Lusamine felt like a sane level of powercreep, so much so that it was argued on her release that Giovanni was sufficient for any job and therefore no one needed her.  I kinda miss those times...

"So..." Alice holds up a card. "Does my crasher resolve~?"
Rose pretends to think, as if she isn't out of blue mana. "... Yes."
"Alright, go to attacks-"
"I cast Dismember on your Ahn-Crop Crasher."
"Agh, if only I had a-" They reveal a card "-Undying Evil~"
Rose sighs and scoops up her cards. "Well played. Your refusal to play your important spells on curve was INCREDIBLY frustrating."
"Sorry, but you can only hold up counterspell mana so many times before I start catching on."
Compass walks in, holding a deck. "Oh, perfect, you guys already have your cards out! I just finished fixing my deck, can I play against one of you?"
"Sure! Hang on a sec..." Alice reaches into their bag for a different deck; Compass is a good player, but being more used to board games, their deckbuilding skills are... bad. Their first deck was less of a deck and more just a pile of random strong-looking cards with no synergy. Then they decided to make a lifegain deck, but they figured that having a theme was the same as having synergy, and just put a bunch of lifegain-related cards together without a plan. The best way to have fun with a bad deck is to play it against another bad deck, so Alice grabs their werewolf deck-
"Actually, I was hoping to try it against your aggro deck. I did some testing, and this deck is really strong!"
"... Well, if you say so!"
The game lasted longer than usual, thanks to Compass's life total being constantly pushed up out of reach of Alice's aggressive attacks. But then, just as Alice's hand ran empty, Compass started their turn 6 with three cards in hand... and passed.
Alice, having learned from Rose to fear cards like Settle the Wreckage, made a safer, low-commitment attack to whittle down Compass's life total. Compass let it through, and started their next turn with only 5 life left. They play a land, and pay 6 mana to play a big flashy Nykthos Paragon!.. then sigh and pass the turn, knowing they've already lost.
"... Huh. Okay, yeah, attack with everything for lethal. GG, that was a lot better than last time."
"Thanks. If I just had one more turn, I would've been able to survive..."
"Speaking of, what was left in your hand?"
"Well..." Compass reveals their last 2 cards: 2 more copies of Nykthos Paragon.
"Oof, that's unlucky."
"Yeah. It would've won me the game, but your deck is just too fast... Wait, that's it! Rose, let me play against your control deck!"
During the next game, Compass sets up their creatures to prepare their plan, but removal and counterspells from Rose hinders them and stalls out the game. But on turn 6, Compass plays their Nykthos Paragon!
Then Rose Murders it on the very next turn.
The rest of the game is a slow grind as Rose sets her plan into motion, until eventually she has 5 cards in hand while Compass has none, and they concede.
"I just don't get it, my deck did so well in testing. Why didn't it finally work..?"
"Here, let me take a look," Rose says.
Then, with Compass's deck spread out on the table before them, Alice and Rose exchange a glance before turning toward Compass. "You're too optimistic."
"What?"
Alice points to the 8 high-cost cards the deck runs. "These right here. These cards work really well with your lifegain plan, but they're too slow, and running so many copies of them clogs up your hand. That's why you ran out of steam against my aggro deck. Well, that plus the fact that you don't have any removal to defend yourself. You need more blockers and removal, or else your opponent can just kill you before you get going."
"But then why couldn't I beat Rose's deck?"
"Because of your protection spells and backup plan," Rose says.
"I... don't have either of those?"
"Exactly. Your deck relies entirely on these big spells to make everything work. If the opponent, for example, casts a removal spell on one, the plan falls apart. You need to make sure your strategy is robust, by either protecting your key cards or having backup plans. Some card draw or other value-generating cards would also help you keep up the pressure in the late game. You were testing alone, right?"
"Yeah..."
"That's why your deck worked so well in testing. There was no opponent interfering with your plan, and you didn't have to defend yourself against your opponent's plan."
"So I need to counter my opponent... But, protection and card draw wouldn't help against Alice's aggro deck. And blockers wouldn't help against your control deck. It seems like I'll always have some of my cards be useless if I build my deck like that..."
Alice shrugs. "Just don't draw the cards that are bad in the matchup."
"That's... not how drawing cards works."
"Skill issue."
Rose slaps them. "Stop it, you're confusing them. But Compass, you're right, trying to counter both aggressive decks and control decks at the same time is futile. Your deck is in an awkward midpoint between fast and slow, so you should commit to being either one or the other."
"But... Hmm... Well, for now, can I borrow one of your decks again?"
The rest of the session was much more back-and-forth, with Compass's skill shining through when they wield a well-built deck. They also play their lifegain deck against the others' weaker and more gimmicky decks, either winning gloriously when their plan comes together uninterrupted, or failing miserably when their key creature gets removed or their hand gets clogged with expensive cards.
Later that day, Compass lays out their deck and the available cards. They manage to build two versions of the deck, one that can defend itself against aggression, and one that can remain robust against control, but they can't do both at the same time. If they build an aggro deck of their own, then they can just focus on countering control, and vice versa, but they like their deck's speed as it is. They read through the deckbuilding section of the rulebook, hoping to find some advice...
The next day, Alice enters the base to find Compass reading a book, waiting for them. "Hey, Thorn! I upgraded my deck again, and I want to try a proper best of 3 match against your aggro deck."
"'Proper'? What, have we been playing the game wrong the whole time?"
"Yeah!"
"Huh. Sure, alright." Alice shuffles up their deck. "So, did you settle on aggro or control?"
"Actually, I looked it up, and my deck's style is called midrange."
"Oh, you're still going with that? I though it was impossible to counter both aggro and control."
"It is!"
"... Okay..."
The first game is a tough back and forth, the closest game between their decks so far. With some decent blockers and a few cheap removal spells, Compass holds off Alice's assault... for a while. Eventually, Alice manages to make one last push past the blockers and finish Compass off.
"Wow, okay, you really almost won that time. But those cards left in your hand..."
Compass reveals their remaining cards, a Nykthos Paragon and a pair of protection spells. "Yeah, I drew some bad cards."
"Dang. You really can't counter both. Hope you can draw better cards in game 2."
Compass nods. "I will."
Rose walks in to find Alice scooping up their cards in defeat. "Oh wow. What happened here?"
"Compass made a deck that counters both aggro and control."
"Oh. And they managed to not draw the wrong cards this game?"
"Two games in a row, actually! I just lost the best of 3."
Compass nods. "I learned how to draw the right cards!"
"You... That's not how drawing cards works."
Compass giggles. "Want to play a match? I want to see if it works on control too."
"Alright, I'm curious to see if this actually works."
The game starts off badly for Rose; she drew too many lands, but at least Compass's defensive cards and blockers couldn't put much pressure on her, and she even had a counterspell for when Compass played their paragon. But on their next turn, they draw a Griffin Aerie, and the steady stream of griffins it creates gradually overwhelms Rose. Rose accepts the loss in stride, counting on better luck in the next game; Compass's deck has all those cards intended to counter aggro, after all. But as she shuffles her deck to prepare for game 2-
"Whoa whoa whoa, what are you doing Compass?" Alice asks. During their match, Alice had been too busy shuffling their deck to notice, but now they catch Compass swapping out cards from their deck with ones from a small separate pile.
"I'm sideboarding."
"What?"
"In a best of 3 match, you're allowed to swap cards from your deck with cards from a 15 card sideboard. So I'm taking out my defensive cards and putting in more protection and value."
"You mean... You learned how to draw cards better!?"
"Yup! Now I won't have any useless cards in my deck. I don't have to counter aggro and control at the same time!"
"Interesting..." Rose says. "And here I thought your devotion to following rules was a weakness."
"Rules exist for a reason. Everyone knows that."
"Alright then..." Rose grabs some cards from her deck box, not a true sideboard but just a handful of leftover cards that she had been considering for her deck. "Proper rules it is."

Greeed Sentai AU: Uva
Full disclosure, I was typing this out, and then it got posted too early and wouldn't go back into drafts, so here’s attempt 2. Sorry if the beginning isn't worded exactly as it was before.
Uva, Kazari, Mezool, and Gamel are very interesting to write for in this AU because, unlike Ankh, none of them really had any development that put them remotely close to the side of good. So, while I'll be sticking to the layout I discussed in my Ankh post, the other Greeed will have substantially longer posts since I have to discuss a lot more about their characters and how they are heroic and not just their original characters but nicer.
Uva's Medals:
Uva's core medals are still Stag Beetle, Mantis, and Grasshopper which combine together to make the combo GataKiriBa. His primary Medal he uses to transform is Stag Beetle. This form is his most balanced in terms of strength, defense, and speed, but all of his forms are noticeably stronger than most of his teammates. While in this form his main weapon is the Stag Claw which attaches to his right arm and can be used to trap enemies from closeup or afar depending on how he uses it. It can be charged with electricity to shock opponents and deals devastating blows. Mantis Form focuses much more on attack power and sacrifices a lot of defense for it. While in this form he has access to the Mantis Blades, a twin set of swords that act similarly to how OOO used them. They also can channel small amounts of electricity and, if used together, can create a small tornado spin attack. Grasshopper Form is Uva's least liked form as it does not provide a lot in terms of strength. It is a great form in terms of speed and versatility, but not much in a way of brute force. His legs are able to shift in Grasshopper legs to allow him to jump and leap as if her were one and his kicks have a much stronger power because of it. However, it is tricky to maneuver and Uva finds it best to use it to escape, rather than fight. It is equipped with a pair of Hopper Blasters that fire burst shots of energy at opponents, but their power is much lower in comparison to Uva's other weapons. When Uva uses all three medals together into GataKiriBa, the full extent of his power is unleashed and he can now access all of his weapons at once, create clones of himself, and charge every attack with electricity. All three of his weapons can merge together into the GataKiriBa Cannon. It unleashes a powerful electrical beam that pierces almost anything and leaves the opponent completely paralyzed. The cannon can split apart and turn into a pair of scythes as well. While in this form, his insect abilities are amplified and allow him to strike down foes with ease thus earning him the title Strongest Greeed.
Uva's New Character:
Uva's new character is going to discuss him, but also the person he possesses. Yes every Greeed in the show will instead possesses a human being rather than being made purely from Cell Medals and copying someone else's body with the exception of Ankh. This is another huge change that I believe will allow for a more unique story to be told and allow the Greeed to have a more heroic storyline. I might've forgotten to mention it in Ankh's post, but Shingo and Ankh both consented to the possession as a means to an end. Shingo wanted to survive and fight back and Ankh wanted a human who would be willing to fight with him whenever necessary and the other humans would have similar relationships/consent this isn’t exactly Shingo is just not able to speak up for himself. Uva himself is a very stoic and heroic person on the outside and tries to follow a personal honor code that literally no one cares about, but respect nonetheless. He is given the title “Strongest Greeed” because of his overwhelming strength and presence, but often lets that inflate his ego too much and will often find himself in a predicament where he’s in over his head. He genuinely cares for his teammates and views them almost like family, however, he has a terrible way of showing this and often pretends that there is some code that prevents him from bonding with them. Uva believes in Ankh as a leader and primary decision maker of the group, but often finds himself at odds at his decisions, especially during the final confrontation with the King. He gets over this quickly and reestablishes a strong bond with Ankh once more. Over the course of the series, Uva would become more open and accepting of letting go of his strange strict code and bond deeply with all of the other Greeed and treat them like his family.
Moving onto who Uva is possessing, Uva is the first of the Greeed, beside Ankh, to awaken and find a host body. Uva possesses a hot-tempered streetfighter named Kabu. Kabu was always first to jump into a fight regardless of how involved he actually was in the dispute which garnered a very negative opinion amongst his peers. He grew up very detached from other people and wanted to be closer to them but never knew the right way. He isn’t afraid of stating what he wants and when he wants it, but he fails to deliver that information in a way that others can understand and often uses anger as a driving force for his emotions. Kabu loves to study and understand art but due to his more aggressive tendencies, lacks the patience to great the same kind of art he appreciates (or so he thinks). Kabu, along with the other humans who become possessed by the other Greeed, witnesses the inciting incident where the exhibit displaying the Core Medals and other artifacts, trying to expand his worldview a bit in hopes of finding something to redirect his energy into something he believes is more positive, but ends up running away from the danger and beats himself up over it. When Uva possesses him, Kabu questions why he would choose someone like him and he says that he admires his spirit and wishes to put him on the right path that Kabu mentions wanting. Over time this relationship changes from being a strange mentor relationship to a genuine brotherhood and the two help each realize what’s important and that certain answers were always right in front of each other.
Uva's Relationships:
Ankh: Uva truly does respect Ankh as a person and leader, but their relationship soured greatly after the King was sealed. He recognizes that he made a hard decision and that at the end of the day it did save the world from complete destruction, but that doesn’t erase his distrust of Ankh’s decision making skills moving forward. At first, the two butt heads occasionally and find each other annoying in each other’s stubbornness, but this quickly turns into a genuine bond with one another once again when more of the team joins them and they realize that the original respect they had for one another is still there and never actually went away.
Kabu: As mentioned previously, the two have a bit of a strange mentor relationship where Uva thinks of Kabu as this misguided strange guy who needs to be corrected and put on the righteous path of good which causes tension in their early interactions. Kabu likes Uva, but finds the way he talks to him demoralizing and struggles to put into words how he feels until eventually Kabu realizes how to properly express himself and his true desires. The two truly respect one another and both agree that the protection of this world is worth it and that someone has to stand up and do something.
Kazari: Uva finds Kazari extremely annoying. The two barely agree on anything, outside of their final battle 800 years ago having a sketchy conclusion at best, and often find each other to be in their way. Whether it is in combat where Uva blocks important attacks for Kazari, or it is in normal conversation where Kazari tries to flaunt his intelligence over Uva in a mocking manner, the two struggle to get along. This bond changes over time as they begin to work together properly and understand the other’s needs, but at best their relationship is rocky to say the least at the beginning.
Mezool: Uva finds Mezool to often be her worst critic. He believes that she really is one of their most competent and valuable members of the team and views her beliefs as equal to his one. Often in the past, Uva would go out of his way to ensure that Mezool’s opinions were not drowned out by the others because he believes in her righteous spirit. At one point, it was thought the two were in love, but Uva has never experienced any sort of emotion like that for Mezool and simply views her as a valuable comrade. He can, however, find the way she speaks to be annoying as he prefers when she states her mind and not try to tip toe around the issue.
Gamel: Gamel is Uva’s personal best friend. He loves Gamel’s more simple personality and they often train together due to Gamel’s intense durability. They get along well in any given situation and Uva has so much respect for anyone who can take a hit from him. There’s nothing that Uva ever has a problem with when discussing Gamel and finds him to be very agreeable and cooperative.
Eiji: Uva respects Eiji a ridiculous amount. He views him almost like the ideal person to strive towards. Eiji is someone who helps everyone and his only desire being to protect people is something Uva admires. This relationship changes once Uva realizes why Eiji is like this and begins to think Eiji in a more realistic and grounded way and wants to help him out as well.
Hina: Uva intially does not agree with Hina. He finds himself arguing with her about a lot of different mundane issues and gets annoyed quickly with her, but quickly comes around when he finds Hina’s drive to want to see her brother come back. They still butt heads, similarly to Kazari, but he does genuinely respect her and wishes the best for her and continues his fight so that she may also fulfil her own desire.
I’m going to exclude Date and Gotou for now due to most of the Greeed having the same exact thoughts and I don’t want to keep typing the same thing over and over again.
FINALLY THIS IS DONE!!!!
Feel free to ask questions or comment on stuff I have a lot more work to do obviously but this AU is still being worked on in my brain slowly but surely. This also was in my drafts for like. Two months I think OOPS

Porygon and Ditto are on here purely because I think Yamima would find them Funky (tm). Porygon is made up of coding and is completely man made, which he’d probably find interesting. It’s just a little three dimensional friend shaped creature and I think Melvin would appreciate that ÙwÚ (aka, rainy only chose this one because it’s a funny lil guy)
Houndoom… doggy :(( no but apparently this species has toxins stored in it’s belly, so whenever it creates fire it’s usually mixed with poisons that cause it to be very deadly, and most wounds and/or burns sustained from it will never heal. It’s howl has been referred to as the call of the Grim Reaper in some pokédex entries. I thought that Melvin deserved a fire type of some sort, due to the whole association with Ra, and I thought Houndoom would be a good choice due to the design and how it’s described. and, again: doggy :3
Dragonite is referred to in it’s pokédex entries as being kind hearted and collected, usually saving ship wrecked individuals or guiding people traveling by ocean through storms. It’s known as the “Sea Incarnate” and has intelligence similar to that of a human. Under that same umbrella, if angered, Dragonite won’t hesitate to become hostile and destructive, and is actually a very powerful specimen. I also thought it’d only be fair if I gave Melv a (pseudo) legendary pokémon, since Marik has Ho-oh >-<
In most descriptions of it, Bewear is described to be genuinely dangerous and overly powerful despite it’s soft looks. In some pokédex entries it’s even said that there’s been a few cases where a Bewear has hugged it’s trainer too hard and uh… accidentally killed them. Personal opinion, but I think Yamima would find this absolutely delightful. Whether or not this choice was influenced by YGOTAS… is up to you ;) (i say as if I don’t refer to this character as Melvin already lol)
I knew one of these characters was gonna get Gengar, but I decided I wanted to put it on Melvin’s team because I thought it’d fit in a bit easier there. Maybe partially because I saw some parallels between these two… it’s Mega Evolution reminds me a bit of his hair and there’s also that whole tongue thing going on (gross). A Gengar will tend to enjoy pulling practical pranks (like copying a person’s shadow) and casting curses, and enjoys whatever terror it invokes in it’s victims. If you’ve ever watched the Battle City tournament… ^^; I think this is a perfect match for Melvin’s energy lol
Ditto is infamous for being able to transform into “perfect” copies of it’s opponents to confuse them. As described above, I think this is a pokémon Melvin would find to be endearing, and he’d probably keep it because… it’s just a little blob. why not?? also… slime… o_o

An Analysis on the TWST Boys' Unique Magic
basically me explaining how I interpreted their unique magics and how they work in my own words o>o
INCLUDES SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 6
~~~
Riddle Rosehearts: His Unique Magic is known as "Off With Your Head". It allows him to conjure a collar to latch onto an opposing persons neck, rendering their magic useless, as they can't use it anymore. It is said to be painful, not only because the collar is large and metal and very uncomfy, but also seems to hurt the person since they can't use magic properly.
Trey Clover: His Unique Magic is called "Doodle Suit" and allows him to overwrite a certain aspect of something for a small amount of time. It's shown that this UM is pretty OP, since it's been shown to easily overpower Riddles UM during his Overblot.
Cater Diamond: His Unique Magic is called "Split Card" which allows him to split himself into multiple copies, the copies also seem to be acutely aware that they aren't the 'true' Cater, but don't seem to mind. They are apparently also shown to be highly competent with disguises, as shown in Chapter 2.
Deuce Spade: He gained his Unique Magic in Chapter 5 and seems to be called "Bet The Limit", it looks like a stockpile type magic and allows him to take the surrounding magic around an opposing caster as send it back at them with 2X the force.
Ace Trappola: Has yet to gain his.
~~~
Leona Kingscholar: His UM is called "King's Roar" and allows him to turn anything he touches to sand, it works on both inanimate objects and living beings.
Ruggie Bucchi: His UM is called "Laugh With Me" and allows it so whenever he casts it onto someone and does a certain thing, the person he casted it on will be forced to mimic it.
Jack Howl: His UM is called "Unleashed Beast" and allows him to transform into a large wolf without the need of a potion.
~~~
Azul Ashengrotto: His UM is called "It's A Deal", it's made out to be a type of transaction-style magic where Azul will give someone one thing while the person will give up a collateral of the same weight. However, this is shown to just be a type of thing to keep his UM under control as, during his breakdown in Ch3, it's revealed that Azul could just take whatever ability he wanted from another person and the contracts were a means to keep Blot down.
Jade Leech: His UM is called "Shock The Heart", whenever he activates it and the opposing person looks into his eyes, they will be forced to tell the truth to any question he asks, however, it only works on people once. If he ever uses it on someone he's already used it on, it possibly won't have any affect.
Floyd Leech: His UM is called "Bind The Heart" and allows him to deflect anything casted at him and send it flying in the opposite direction, whether it's magic or an object/person.
~~~
Kalim Al-Asim: His UM is called "Oasis Maker" and allows him to make large amounts of water in a small amount of time and without large amounts of Blot.
Jamil Viper: His UM is called "Snake Whisper" and lets him hypnotize one or more people if thy look into his eyes, the more people he hypnotizes, the more Blot he accumulates.
~~~
Vil Schoenheit: His UM is called "Fairest One Of All", which allows him to curse anything he touches, the curses could vary (paralyzing ADeuce, cursing Neige to sleep forever, etc.), and can only be stopped if the citations he set are done. (apparently it's so powerful, he himself can't stop it o-o)
Rook Hunt: It's finally revealed in Ch 6, his UM is called "I See You" and allows him to track down a certain person as long as he put the spell on an object the person is holding. He was apparently able to track down the Isle of Lamentation from NRC.
Epel Felmier: He finally has his! I'm so proud!!! His UM is called "Sleep Kiss" and allows him to freeze his opponents in barriers for a short amount of time.
~~~
Idia Shroud: His UM is called “Gate to the Underworld” and enables him to open the gates to the underworld under the S.T.Y.X HQ. It’s pretty literal.
Ortho Shroud: Not revealed.
~~~
Malleus Draconia: Not revealed just yet, but because of the end of chapter six where he uses the reverse spell to change Vil back to normal, maybe his UM can change things to the way they were at a certain time? He uses the same magic at the end of chapter five to fix the VDC stage too.
Lilia Vanrouge: Not revealed.
Silver: Not revealed.
Sebek: Not revealed.
A long post related our celestial queen's abilities🥰
Lucy Heartfilia
Celestial Magic :
Lucy Heartfilia is the strongest celestial mage to ever live. She has amazing skills in celestial magic and a great bond with her spirits. She has proved from time to time that holder type magic is also a strong magic which can turn tables on enemies.
So let's take a look on her abilities, shall we?
Celestial Spirits having contact with Lucy Heartfilia :
Golden Key Spirits :
Leo(Lion)~
Leo uses Regulus light. He's the leader of the zodiacs and also the most efficient combatant among them. He has the ability to open his own gate when his summoner is in trouble. He can efficiently respond to camoflauge attacks.
Virgo(Maid)~
Virgo is arguably the second strongest spirit among the zodiacs with incredible Earth magic(Spica lock, spica hole, chains attack, diving undergroud, pitfall etc). She is an efficient combatant and has a good control over speed. She can also appear on her own when needed.
Fact : Leo and Virgo take more power to keep their gates open than other zodiacs.
Aquarius(Mermaid)~
Aquarius is an incredibly strong mermaid spirit with amazing water powers. Maybe because she's so strong, she needs a condition(water) to summon her. She takes also takes more mp to keep her gate open like Leo and Virgo because of her powers.
Taurus(Cow)~
Taurus is very good at physical strength however, his magic doesn't allow him to perform any element based attack like Leo/Virgo/Aquarius. His axe is a weapon with heavy force.
Aries(Ram)~
Aries performs wool based magic. Her wool is powerful enough to stop any spell that requires incantation like Fairy Glitter, Urano Metria, Grand Chariot, Fairy Sphere, Fairy Law etc. Her wool also works great against powerful water attacks and it can help tangle the enemy in wool to buy some time.
Capricorn(Goat)~
Capricorn can cancel any kind of eye magic with his glasses and he's an efficient combatant. He's very good in close range combat.
Sagittarius(Shooter)~
Sagittarius is the master archer with incredible shooting skills. He's a great help in long range attacks.
Scorpio(Scorpion)~
Scorpio has the ability to produce huge sand cyclones. His sand wall is an efficient defense skill.
Gemini(Twins)~
These twins can copy any mage present at the moment along with their magic abilities but the said mage has to be on the same level or lower than the summoner.
Cancer(Crab)~
Cancer is a spirit with incredible speed and sharpness(his scissors). He can cross a huge distance within seconds and cut down people's hair or objects like that.
Silver Key Spirits :
Tumblr media
Horologium~
One of the most useful spirits, it comes to rescue the summoner whenever their lives are on line.
Pyxis~
Pyxis has a strong sense of directions. Even when the normal compasses don't work, Pyxis can definitely be useful. It's stated by Lucy that Celestial spirits have stronger sense than humans.
Lyra~
This spirit has a beautiful singing voice and she can touch and bring out the feelings of any heart with the help of her melodious voice.
Plue~
It is a very cute celestial spirit with a good smell sense.
Crux~
Crux is basically a knowledge box and has all the info regarding the celestial word and other celestial mages along with their Powers and history. He comes in handy a lot with his power of knowledge.
Spells Lucy Heartfilia has in her arsenal :
Urano Metria~>
When the user recites the incantation, the 88 constellations of the sky come down as spheres and bestow their power upon the caster. This person then aims at their intended target and releases the energy gathered into a tremendous attack. This is the ultimate magic of the stars.
StarDress :
Stardress is a new concept to celestial magic. Spell in which the user incorporates the power of a Celestial Spirit into their body by placing the key of the Spirit in question on their chest. The power manifests itself in the form of dress which is similar to Requip. The user adopts the powers and appearance of the spirit they choose and also adopts a portion of their powers, being able to make use of their mp. This power also allows the user to make use of spells of their own that may require more than one person due to the tremendous amount of mp required to cast it.
Fact : Lucy is the first celestial mage to ever access the power from the zodiac gate spirits. Even her mother and her ancestor Anna who were considered strong celestial mages couldn't do this technique. Lucy is also the only celestial mage to be invited to the celestial world by the CSK himself.
Let's take a look at Lucy's StarDresses, shall we now?
StarDresses Lucy Heartfilia can access :
Tumblr media
Leo Form~
This dress gives it's summoner the ability to use Regulus light magic, and she can use attacks like Regulus Kick and Regulus Punch which is very useful for mid-range and close combat.
Virgo Form~
This star dress gives the ability to use earth magic like Pitfall, summoner can use diver magic. It also provides a good amount of raw power and it's incredibly versatile form. This stardress can also access Aqua Metria water version.
Aquarius Form~
Summoner can use Aqua Metria(both Earth version which makes the ground swell like huge waves and water version which creates a big wave of water. It also gives the ability to do a very strong defense spell Water Barrier.
Sagittarius Form~
One of the most powerful stardresses which gives the ability to do long range attacks. It acts very useful when there are huge number of opponents. It has a spell called Star Shot which provides an unlimited supply of shots and marksmanship ability.
Aries Form~
It's wool can stop attacks that need incantation like Fairy Glitter, Grand Chariot, Fairy Sphere, Urano Metria, Fairy Law etc.
Capricorn Form~
This form gives the user a pair of glasses that cancels all the eye magics possible. It may also be useful in close combat because that's one of Capricorn's abilities.
Gemini Form~
This one helps in transformation, to turn anyone into anything like fishes regardless of their power level being more than the summoner. But of course, it may have some conditions for the transformation process.
Cancer Form~
It equips the summoner with dual blades similar to that of Cancer and enhanced speed. Both of these factors being huge advantages in battle.
Scorpio Form~
Gives summoner the ability to use sand magic like Scorpio. It cages the opponent in a whirlpool of sand, giving summoner the ability to move freely across it, this form helps to land swift kicks in that huge sandstorm. It also provides enhanced speed.
Taurus Form~
This increases the summoner's brute strength by a certain level giving a lot of raw power. It also provides with a strong whip which can do attacks like Earth Wave.
StarDress Mix :
The summoner can also combine their star dresses into one which manifests itself in the form of a dress and a crossed keys tattoo at the back of their hand with each key representing the Celestial Spirit gate keys of the StarDress forms that are being merged together.
StarDress Mix Lucy Heartfilia can access :
Tumblr media
Lion Maiden~
This form gives the summoner access to Leo and Virgo's powers and cast a strong spell with Regulus and Spica power.
Aqua Stream~
This form gives the summoner powers of Aquarius and Scorpio. It can one-shot a Metro Golem with a powerful spell.
Lucy Heartfilia as a Celestial Spirit Mage can do:
Fairy Sphere-
Tumblr media
One of the three greatest spells of Fairy Tail guild. Lucy was able to cast it with the help of magic power of the entire continent in the Alveraze Empire Arc. She is the only one so far after master Mavis, who was able to provoke this spell trapping Achnologia inside.
Gottfried-
Tumblr media
In Celestial Spirit Arc, it was performed by Lucy, Yukino and Princess Hisui to break the Celestial Globe when nobody was even able to scratch it. It requires the casters to sit down and hold hands while one casts the spell, it reflects great pain upon the casters but is incredibly strong.
Unison Raid-
Lucy and Juvia were able to do it in their first attempt during the Tower Of Heaven Arc. It requires two powerful wizards with a very strong bond/mutual understanding and still they were able to do it. It was because of the fact that both of the magics that Lucy and Juvia uses were very compatible with each other. Later, Lucy and Wendy also use a Unison Raid against Hades in Tenrou Island Arc.
Re-writing Demonic Scripts-
Tumblr media
She can re-write demonic scripts. She used it to rewrite the book of E.N.D. miraculously separating Natsu from the book during his battle with Zeref. Even Zeref was shocked and find it hard to believe that a mere human could rewrite a demonic script even after enduring a huge amount of pain.
Anti Nightmare Spell-
With the help of the infinity clock, she was able to use this spell saving the lives of 100 other celestial wizards in the Key To The Starry Sky Arc.
Forced Gate Closure-
This is not something every celestial mage can do. It's actually a very big deal in celestial world. Comes in handy when your spirits are out of control, like when Sherry controlled Taurus in the Galuna Island Arc or when a demon consumed both Aries and Taurus, Lucy forcefully closed their gates saving all of them.
Simultaneous Summoning-
Lucy can open upto 5 zodiac gates within a single day.
Multiple Summoning-
Tumblr media
Lucy is able to summon multiple spirits at a time, which is actually a forbidden technique because it puts summoner's life on risk but after the unleash of her second origin during GMG Arc she was able to do it nearly effortlessly and then finally summoning three at a time during Tartaros Arc (Leo, Virgo and Aquarius).
Fact : Leo, Virgo and Aquarius take more mp than other zodiacs because of how powerful they are.
Summoning The CSK-
Tumblr media
She had to sacrifice Aquarius's key to summon the celestial spirit king during the Tartaros Arc. She is the only mage who could do that because as per Aquarius, only celestial mages powerful enough to open 3 strongest gates at once can summon the CSK.
Zodiac Clamation-
Tumblr media
A spell used by Lucy and Yukino to call upon the entire zodiac in the Eclipse Arc, it helped them in closing the Eclipse gate when 7 dragons invaded. Lucy contributed to opening 10 zodiac gates at once.
Opening All Of The Spirit Gates At Once-
Tumblr media
Lucy is capable of opening all of the spirit gates keys she has in earthland for quite a few seconds which is nearly impossible and a forbidden technuque due to it's outcome. The summoner can die of magic deficiency. Lucy did that very early in the series. She again did that in the sequel in Elentir(although it was because Elentir's magic flow) but this time, she opened 10 zodiac gates at once and held onto that for enough time. No celestial wizard has been ever done that except Lucy.
Whip Specialist-
Lucy is very efficient in using a whip. She has countered a good number of people with it and defeated Edolas Byro with only a magical whip Virgo gave her(Fleuve d'étoiles).
So this was an updated version of Lucy's abilities. I'm really proud of ma gurl, look how much she has improved since the first time she was introduced.
Regarding your theories on classification of demons: Is Sebastian comparatively a lot more powerful than Claude? Or even an angle? We see him kill Ash/Angela in a relatively short period of time after transforming, destroy the demon island in season 2, first exploding the castle outcrop where he intended to take Ciel's soul, then splitting it with the sword, then everything floods at the end as he dives into the water after Ciel. On the other hand, Claude was able to entrap him with the spider threads, and fighting multiple reapers seems to be a challenge. Is Sebastian playing around, and pulling his punches? Or do you think he has additional powers he just doesn't make use of very often?
I love this topic so much! For those who are interested, I outlined my understanding and head-canons here and here.
I was thinking about it a lot when and after watching the anime. Ultimately, I came to a conclusion that yes, Sebastian is more powerful than most other characters we see. This is what I tried to convey by pointing out that Claude and Sebastian represent different levels of hierarchy. Copying the most relevant part:
Hell has a hierarchy. There are very few actually fallen angels, and they are considered Kings of Hell - they hold the ultimate power. At times, they might decide to call other demons into existence - that would be the Dukes. This process is repeated: Dukes can summon Princes, Princes can summon Marquises, and so on … Their status (Kings, Dukes, Princes, etc.) determines the extent of their power and the respect they command.
I see Sebastian as a Prince - he’s not the most powerful demon of all, but he’s among the elite. He’s a loner, but he’s strong and vicious, and so he holds the respect of the majority. Some demons think he’s strange, but they like and/or fear him. Others demons like Claude are envious because they believe he doesn’t deserve his position, so they take every chance to spite him. Claude’s true name (as per my story) is Leraje, so he’s a Marquis. His status (and thus power) is lower than Sebastian’s.
So for the most part, I think Sebastian is indeed toying with his opponents. He seems to treat most fights as an adventure, but when things get too hot, he gets serious and wins almost instantly. The first time he fights Grell, he seems mostly curious; the first two times he fights Angela, he's clearly dragging the moment out (in my opinion, because he's not ready to end his contract with Ciel). I think angels have their own hierarchy as well, and Angela isn't on top of it, especially with the things she's been doing. So in this particular instance, Sebastian holds more power.
Undertaker took him aback by targeting Ciel and forcing Sebastian to leave his back vulnerable. I imagine these two are pretty close in terms of power and each would have troubles overpowering the other with blatant force.
With Claude, in E7, Sebastian seems a little wary of the Sword at first, but then he keeps having fun like always. He's throwing a performance for Ciel, so when Ciel leaves, he's displeased and gets distracted, which gets him trapped in the spider threads. Even then, based on his reactions, he just finds it mildly inconvenient. And when he hears that Ciel is in danger, the game stops entirely. We don't see how he actually freed himself, but with how he was the first to run inside the room, I imagine he did it by himself. Claude faltered when Sebastian turned away, but I'm sure he'd have loved to leave him in this trapped state to torment him by making him listen to Ciel being killed helplessly. So I believe Sebastian tore himself free like it was nothing when the need arose. (Also, isn't it hilarious how he fusses over Ciel and tears him from Claude's hands? He's like a mother hen, honestly :D)
In the final fight with Claude, Sebastian is more serious because things went too far. He overpowers him quite quickly.
I wish I could get to writing all these fights already! It'll be fun.
When the world falls apart, the only thing we can hold onto is ourselves (Part V)
Series Master list
pairing: canon Eren Jaeger x reader
content: Angst, unstable relationship, breakup, smut/nswf+18, major character death, violence, blood (obviously), war (pretty obvious)
summary: War and hate. It’s what defined the world at this exact moment. You failed your comrades, and by failing them, you failed yourself. Your relationship is hanging by a thread and your enemies will not only be found on the other side of the sea, but also in the mind of the person you love the most. How will you take the reins in the face of so much destruction?
Chapter summary: Eren and reader meet face to face and are determined to put an end to the tension that has been building around them since Eren returned from Marley.
Word Count: 7.9k
The light wind blew the few leaves that had fallen from the trees around me at the same time that it generated a slight comfort, as if the same wind was hugging me and holding me between its countenance. The branches moved to the beat of it sweet music and danced a slow tango around two figures ready to end the other. We were both facing each other, each positioned perfectly and vertically above the other's line of sight, only a few steps separated, perhaps two meters apart, but still the difference wasn’t an obstacle to inspect each other.
Eren standed stiffly on the muddy floor, a position that was becoming a habit lately every time he was about to confront someone, either with words or with blows. His shoes were dirty and torn, some small holes showed through the cloth. Strands of hair fell on his forehead and some were stuck to the skin due to the mud and earth that the footsteps threw into the air. His eyes...just as empty of any light and life that might exist.
His jaw was clenched as well as one of his fists, I didn't find any sign his hand was hurt or his palm was bleeding and dropping a few drops to the floor, so I assumed it wasn’t in his plans to transform here and now. But that didn’t mean that I could be calm.
As for me, surely Eren was looking at me the same way a wolf looks at a little sheep or a poor dwarf white rabbit, one of the most defenseless animals in the food chain. Apparently I was the meal and it was time for lunch. But I was very sure that Eren hadn’t limited himself to looking at me with that horrible analogy, he’d surely noticed my torn and bloody clothes, as well as dirty with mud and some other things that I wanted not to investigate or put my nose in them. He had probably also noticed the multiple scratches on the skin of my arms and on my face, wounds already dry and in the process of healing thanks to the sweat from adrenaline and the race through the forest made in a few minutes. He had probably noticed little strands sticking to the crook of my neck and cold sweat dripping down my spine.
I don't doubt he surely noticed the fire burning in my eyes, my gaze radiating determination, a determination to get out of this place as unscathed as possible and find a way to fix this whole damn situation. He would have noticed how my figure was a reflection of his, I wouldn’t move if he didn’t move, I wouldn’t stop squeezing a finger if I didn’t see he stopped squeezing his. It was like being on the other side of a mirror, copying each and every one of the other's movements.
"So ... wanna make the first move?" My breathing was ragged, however neutral my face might be. Inside I was afraid, I was always afraid, it was a normal feeling and sensation. I was already used to feeling this unconditional fear when going out into the world.
The wind blew around us again, it was like a sweet melody cradling my ears, it was like feeling a hand caressing my battered face, a caress that I hadn't felt for a long time. If the moment had been different, it would have taken me some time to close my eyes and enjoy the breeze. If I did that right now, I would end up badly beaten and dejected, perhaps dead as well.
The breeze was dancing for a few seconds and stopped short, as if the world and time itself had stopped, only the two of us were able to move and yet neither did. Everything around us was silent, not the chirping of a cricket or the footsteps of an animal could be heard. Neither did any footsteps or voices from the other Jaegeristas, completely ignoring their locations, while ignoring the whereabouts of my beloved horse. It was just me and Eren in this little airless bubble.
Seconds of silence and in an instant Eren stepped forward and instinctively I stepped back, letting my left foot hold much of my weight on this. I was leaning back with the possibility of running if necessary, but knowing Eren I would only run a couple of meters before having him on my back and holding me like we’re playing hide and seek. My hands were raised to my torso, palms facing the ground and in position to become fists or grab something, whatever was out of the trees to counter or defend myself.
It wasn’t a position that I wasn’t completely unfamiliar with, was like reliving the old days as cadets in training, each one trying to search for the opponent's strengths and weaknesses, evaluating the chances of attack and their effectiveness. It really was like self-defense practices, practices that Eren put so much effort and determination into. I used to watch him from afar when my partner ended up on the ground given the multiple blows to the stomach that I had so proudly learned from my father. I used to see his frustrated face when Annie managed to knock him down with a simple leg movement or when Reiner was too abrupt to the point of knocking him to the ground from his high height. And yet, no matter how many blows and humiliations the poor boy felt when practicing self-defense, he never stopped fighting and asking for more blows, as if violence and physical damage were his only form of training. Already in the first practices I knew he was completely crazy, that he had something bad in the head, but his determination and that sparkle in his eyes when he got angry at losing, in the same way that a small child gets angry when they don’t have what they wants, was what caught my attention the most.
I used to fight him repeatedly in these same practices, being positioned in the same places we are now, one of us with a flabby wooden knife, but capable of doing a lot of damage if we didn’t use it properly. I was already used to the agile movements that I could perform with a simple kitchen and hunting knife, living much of my lifetime in the middle of a small town lost in the woods. I was used to defending myself and attacking animals with little rational intelligence, which made them much more dangerous than a simple human. I was equally used to dodging punches, and punches, able to redirect them and hit the weakest points of my prey. But I wasn't used to the low blows this boy was capable of. I always had to cover my back because I didn't know when he was going to jump on me and throw me to the ground, like the first time I knocked him down with a blow to the chin and when I was about to change partners, he grabbed my back and neck to throw myself on the floor and make me eat dirt. I didn't know if even throwing him to the ground multiple times he would go against my leg and bend it, hitting my head not only against the floor but also against his shoulder. I didn't know when he would apply the same technique Annie had taught him weeks ago. Unarmed or with a damn wooden knife Eren was dangerous because he was willing to keep fighting, even if he was going to fight dirty, without rules or codes.
I have faced him multiple times throughout the three years of training and in each confrontation there was something new that surprised us both, be it his various angry movements or my simple stances and punches capable of stopping the fight in any way. And that same uncertainty was also reflected in the times we went out to fight with what, at that time, we thought were simple and common titans, unable to deduce the actions of the other, evading death many more times than we could count.
And all that uncertainty and determination on the battlefield started with simple training with the wooden knife. A wooden knife.
A knife.
I withdrew my hand from in front of me and with great care I directed it towards the back pocket of my pants, without stopping looking at Eren who had taken advantage while I wandered in my imagination to approach and settle half the distance that separated us. When my hand reached the pocket, I stuck my thumb and forefinger inside it, grasping a small doctor's knife which I apparently had unconsciously put away in the morning when I finished treating my last patient. I secured it tightly and kept my hand behind my back until Eren again took a big step towards me and, in a protective movement, I positioned the knife in attack mode, eye level, as if was a real fight knife.
"Well that's not very fair-"
With a clean flick of the wrist the small knife rested on my thumb and forefinger and I tossed it to the side, striking perfectly even on the bark of a tree. It had been nailed cleanly and the sound it generated on impact gave certainty that it would be difficult to get it out of that place. Eren never moved from where he was, he simply followed the movements of my hand and at the moment of impact he inspected the cut on the bark before turning his gaze to me.
“I am unarmed… without weapons, without my movement gear, just my bare hands. But it still wouldn't be a fair fight, would it?"
In the four years that we were officially in the legion, at no point had we taken a day to practice our close combat as we did before. You could say that our fighting days were over on the night of our graduation. Although those days were behind us, I was completely sure he had never stopped training, he would continue to launch those unpredictable movements at any moment, let alone his unnatural power.
"You have your titan powers and each hit that hits you will heal, instead I will continue to bleed and spend days with a black eye and broken bones, if that is the case"
I saw what his fists could do to someone like Armin and what they had done to my neck and nose, if this fight went on longer than it should or turned in a bad movement, my body was going to end much worse than it already was; I was even beginning to think that maybe Eren would go as far as turning into a titan and crushing me once and for all. I had to be careful and hoped luck was on my side to make it out alive a second time.
“Come on, let's finish it once and for all” In position and waiting for the first hit, this is how they taught us and this is how I would be mentally prepared from now on, until the moment of my death, even if it were in a few minutes.
He was the first to cut the distance between us, raising his fist to my face. His knuckles slammed into my arm, propelling it toward the contour of my face by the wave and force of the impact. His other fist tried to hit the pit of my stomach, but I could catch his movement and block him with my other arm, hitting him to no effect with the bone. I raised my left leg to hit him on the ribs, but like me, Eren was faster and dodged just in time, avoiding my foot and moved it to the side. As I touched the ground again, I raised my leg again and this time I managed to hit him on the hip, propelling him forward and hitting his body again, this time with my right knee on his face.
His body didn’t move from where he had fallen to the floor, sensing that my blow hadn’t been strong enough to unbalance him, but to mislead him for a second. His face was thrown back by the impact of my knee and I hit him again in the same way, this time right in the center of the face, right on the septum and the mouth. My hand lunged for his hair, grabbing his already disheveled manbun and pushing his head back, my other hand was about to hit right in the neck area, but before I could even put my fingertips on him, his fingers closed tightly on my wrist and twisted it outward, drawing an uncomfortable groan from my throat.
His other fist managed to make a hook towards my chin causing me to loose the grip on the manbun, my legs were unbalanced and I felt blood spurt into my mouth, and one of his feet rose high enough to hit me in the chest and pull me towards him. back and hitting the head squarely against the hard dirt floor. Eren wasted no time and took a short leap towards my figure and placed his hands on my neck for the third time that day. It was like reliving the restaurant scene, me on the floor and him finding a way to position himself on me and immobilize me.
"God, what about you and your choke kink?" With my throat so battered in such a short time, I could barely speak and what I managed to get out was nothing more than hoarse and breathy moans, as if my voice was breaking little by little.
Both of my hands went straight under his armpits holding them in the shape of a sword and digging the bony ends into his weak skin. His arms loosened, giving me the chance to elbow him on the back of his neck and push him away from my body. I put my hands on the ground and got back to my feet with my arms and legs now muddy and dirty, but what was my intention to put myself on guard ended up turning into a new face fall down to the floor, having one of his legs hooked on my knee and making any escape movement impossible. I hit him hard with my free leg on the knee that was hooking me, managing to displace it and perhaps break it on the spot given the creaking sound that echoed through the bark of the trees. With my leg released, I turned around and now that same leg was on his broken knee, applying pressure to the floor, and my other leg took a moment to impact right on his face. His body was now flat on the floor and I positioned myself on top of him without wasting time, pulling his arm back and hitting his ribs with the elbow of my free arm. One, two, three blows, until I felt an impulse bring my body back to the floor as well as a blow on my left cheekbone. I hadn't seen his fist come to my face when he lunged against my body to get me off.
His knee hit me in the pit of my stomach, curling into a fetal position and his fist slammed again into my cheekbone. I tried to scratch his arm the same way I did with his face hours ago, but I failed miserably, as if the pain of the flesh peeling off his skin didn't affect him at all. So I hit his knee with mine, moving him off my stomach, driving him to the ground, and back hitting him on the ribs. Eren lifted his body for a moment to avoid taking any more impacts and gave me enough time to place my legs under his chest and stretch them towards and send him flying against the tree behind him.
Now I could easily stand up, but the pain in my stomach made it difficult for me to breathe and to be able to stand firmly on the ground. I took quick strides towards his body and when my foot was about to hit his face, Eren wiped away a considerably thick branch from the ground and struck my face with the tip, impacting the leaves and small branches on my wounds and throwing me to the ground from the burning. I was in four against a tree, behind me I heard how the dry leaves crunched under Eren's feet and how he was getting up to jump on my back; But this time, I was faster and managed to turn around to hit my leg on his neck for a good time and throw him again towards a crooked tree on our side, hitting his neck against the bark and tearing the skin with friction. From where I was lying I could see blood coming out of his neck, it seems he had torn the jugular area and was bleeding. I could also see the pain on his face and how his body was getting rid of the tension that the fight had caused.
We were both gasping for air, at the moment neither of us could take it anymore and both bodies were asking for a limit, but I knew it was a matter of time before Eren fully recovered and a new fight would take place again. If there was a moment to act, this was perfect. I tried to get up, but my back didn’t give in to my directions and I was thrown back to the floor. My eyes were fixed on the tops of the trees, which let a few rays of the sun slip into our little forest bubble. The sight was almost angelic, if it weren't for the multiple blows that were burning like a bonfire. I saw how some leaves fell slightly accompanied by the wind which had blown again when our fight ended. I felt physical and mental relief as I listened as the smoke rose from Eren's skin, quickly healing his wounds, but still suffering from the bleeding in his neck. My vision began to blur, nothing that was in front of me was seen clearly and I was afraid I was about to faint.
Ahead of me I began to see a familiar sight, quite familiar indeed; the training days, Eren and me in our younger years. I saw us in one of our first confrontations, being completely dirty from the sandy earth but still standing on our two feet, our eyes like daggers about to be thrown at our opponent. Each one prepared to deliver what seemed like the last blow and define the confrontation before ending the day and heading off to the canteen for dinner, ready to define our fifth confrontation with hatred for the other in the veins. Eren, as not, was the first to approach and to be dodged by a young me and give him a poor punch in the face. He complained about the impact, backing off for the next instant to pounce on my shoulder and hook me on the knee to finally throw me sideways to the ground for the fourth time in that three-hour workout. I groaned in pain and grabbed onto my shoulder, injured and battered from so many blows. I stretched out on the floor, in the same way that presumably I was now and I stared at the orange sky, observing how little by little the sun was setting on the horizon and fine dark blue lines welcomed the night.
"Ha, how many times have I beat you today?" his voice and breathing were ragged but still I could tell the false vanity and self-centeredness in his words. He had hunched over his knees resting his tangled hands on them and brought his face closer to mine, covering my beautiful sight and replacing it with his horrible green eyes. I fixed my gaze on his damn crooked smile, the same one he gave to any asshole he had the guts to challenge and finish. I closed my eyes to avoid looking at him and in less than a second I moved my leg over his, hitting his balance and causing him to fall headlong to the floor, hitting the side of his temple. The blow echoed across the ground, earning laughter from some of our friends and whispers around us. I didn't stop to listen to what stupid people might be saying about what had just happened, but stood up heavily, still having a semi air of victory over my body, I wiped my hands on my pants, which deserved a full-fledged clean, and I ducked down to his figure on the floor.
"Not so bad for a country one, huh?" and with that I turned and walked towards the canteen, hoping to be in time before Sasha ate my slice of bread like most nights.
Back at my self lying on the muddy, doughy ground, my breathing come back to normal before my vision returned to having the leaves of the trees in sharp focus. I felt a great heaviness on my body and at the same time I felt like a feather, as if I was experiencing an out-of-body episode ... or was simply rambling. I got up in the same way as in that wonderful memory which for some strange reason happened to appear in my consciousness, and I leaned back on a tree before compiling myself and dragging my feet on the leaves.
"That’s it, I’m done" To be honest, I couldn’t do this anymore. To be honest, I wanted to disappear from the face of the earth and reincarnate in another life, many years in the future. To be honest, my sanity couldn't keep fighting anymore, but I was too cowardly to take my own life. I was tired, not only tired of fighting, but tired of this damn world that the only thing that achieved was to put us in a circle of hatred and anger between each other.
I took a few more steps towards some side of the forest, knowing that I had no idea where I was going, if it was the same side I came from or another completely different, heading right towards the hands of the Jaegeristas. Likewise, if they caught me, they would take me to the others. Would it have been worth it to have escaped from the beginning? Surely not, but I was praying with my few walking neurons that I had managed to take a little time out of them.
"I can still going"
I heard him say a few meters behind me. I could still hear the smoke coming from his veins, this time with much more vigor, a sign that he was about to heal completely. Damn bastard, he'd perfected his healing technique over the years and it didn't take more than five minutes to heal all of his wounds.
"Well I can't!" I screamed reluctantly, as if I was trying to convince myself to give me a break, even if that break meant losing the battle against a terrorist group.
My feet kept moving over the leaves until they hit a fallen tree branch and half caught up with it, causing me to lose my balance and fall sideways onto the bark of the same tree. I instinctively placed my hand and with the fall, the hand didn’t stay sufficiently attached to the surface and drifted to the side, scratching my skin and exposing the raw flesh. I rested my healthiest shoulder on the surface and held my hand. The blood came out slowly, in time with the rapid pumping of my heart, the palm was throbbing and I felt that throbbing not only in that area but also in my ears and in my chest. I blew on the wound to remove the small traces of dirt and grime on the flesh.
"I'm tired of continue fighting, I'm tired of fighting with you and I'm tired of this world, I'm going home"
"What home?" ok, of all the things Eren could have said right now, or all the things he said to me over the past few weeks, this was the one that had hurt the most, the one that had touched my heart the most.
The image of my mother being killed in front of me by a bullet in the head at the age of ten, the image of my father or what was left of him returning to my village after years in training, the image of my family's house destroyed and split in half, while parts of the steps were burned and made charcoal. The image of a cabin in the middle of a field, far from the city, calm, empty and silent, the one that for a couple of years was my residence and now it was used by the queen herself to give birth to the heir. All those images appeared in my mind without invitation to haunt me in a matter of seconds until I gave my answer.
"To what is left of it" I broke away from the surface of the tree and devoted myself to looking ahead and following the path that at first I was taking.
“Wait” behind me the sound of the smoke had stopped and the only thing I could hear was the rustling of the leaves under Eren, who was getting up and standing on his feet.
I ignored his claim and kept walking, always looking ahead and taking good care of where I stepped, I wasn’t in the mood to rip my other hand or fall back on the one that was already badly hurt.
“I said fucking wait” was the only thing I heard before feeling his hands on mine and my shoulder.
I no longer know how many times my back was hit against a surface, I just knew that at this point it would be full of bruises or most likely my back would be a whole bruise, having all the skin covered in a nice purple or black color. My head suffered the same fate, chunks of bark digging into my scalp and some snagging on my hair. Strands got tangled over small branches halfway out of the trunk and pulled my head that way, putting me in a very uncomfortable position. The hand Eren was holding stretched forward, threatening to stretch it further and dislocate my shoulder in the process, the other hand holding my shoulder tightening more and more against my flesh while holding the bone in an impossible way with his long, slender fingers.
If my heart wasn’t already racing too much, the pulsations went crazy when I felt his hand leave mine calmy and position my arm at my side with great care to move to free a lock of hair from the bark and position it behind my ear. Then he stroked my cheek in the same way he had done so many times before. His thumb wandered over my shallow cuts, pulling out the dried blood that had accumulated, and made circular motions over my badly injured cheekbone, as if he was trying to remove the pain that he himself had caused. I leaned my head to the side trying to prevent him from keep touching me, fixing my gaze on the floor, on his feet, on mine, and I hid my face behind the few strands that were loose.
“Look at me” his voice was nothing more than a whisper, only the silence of the forest gave the opportunity to hear him clearly.
My gaze remained embedded in the grass that surrounded the tree below our feet. His thumb, now positioned on my lower lip, forcefully applied pressure downward on the open flesh, parting my two lips and sticking his finger in just enough to play with the tips of my teeth. His index finger came under my chin and forced me to turn my head in his direction.
“Fuck. Look at me! ” His eyes penetrated mine and for the first time in a long time I could see a small glow reflected in them. But that glow, I guessed, wasn’t good at all. It wasn’t the same kind Eren had when he was fifteen, knowing he had the whole world ahead of him and he could be of use to humanity, but instead was the same kind he had before annihilating with extreme anger his opponent.
We stare at each other, his face getting closer to mine. I could feel his breath on my skin and his thumb was still playing with my teeth. The hand that was holding my shoulder began to caress the skin that was visible outside the shirt, over my neck, also sore and full of scratches.
In an attempt to get him to leave my lip alone, I bit down on the tip of his thumb, not hard enough to rip off a piece of meat, but hard enough to make him fucking pull his finger out of my mouth. He waved his hand trying to ease the pain and grabbed my other cheek, stretched it out, pinched it and left a red mark on the area, burning me for a few seconds.
"I missed you back in Liberio" He grabbed a lock of my neck and twisted it between his fingers, playing for a moment and pulling the roots so that my head leaned forward.
The fingers on the skin of my neck continued it’s movements, sometimes going towards the back of my neck, scratching the beginning of the root and pulling a few strands. The caresses were soft, like the massage of a feather, it gave me chills up my spine at the same time that I was having trouble breathing with each step of his fingertips on the bone of my neck. He stopped playing with my lock and cupped one of my cheeks in the palm of his hand, his skin cold compared to mine, warm from adrenaline. It was a somewhat invasive sensation, but at the same time, comforting and uncertain. His thumb again made circular motions over the wounded skin but this time avoiding the scratch marks.
"I missed the warmth of your cheeks and the shapes of your hands" His face moved closer to my neck, his nose brushing against the bruised skin and his breath tickling the tender spots between my neck and collarbone. His breathing made me shudder from head to toe, as if lightning had struck my body.
"Eren" it was pathetic to see how with a simple touch, my body responded so submissively.
I was trembling and not from the wind that blew from time to time over us, but from the multiple caresses on my neck; my cheek being forgotten and now the waist was being the focus point, his lips playing with my mental stability as he delicately rested on me neck, but not enough to lean on and kiss it. My brain was telling me everything was wrong, that I shouldn't be doing this, but my body asked for more, asking for a break, relax and let go. My innermost desires were screaming, begging, to be released, imploring me to succumb and break the tension that was obvious to them, but less to me.
What seemed like endless minutes, were limited seconds before I felt Eren's lips on my warm skin, his hand now resting completely on my neck and my waist, drawing me closer to him, at the same time that he imprisoned me against the tree. I was in the middle of two hard walls and unconsciously I didn't feel like moving. His soft lips compared to his hands and his acting from the last year, roamed under my chin and collarbone, making a path up and down, always repeating the same line of kisses that he left behind. The more kisses he implanted, the more aggressive, open and needy they were, all the while getting wetter and leaving a trail of saliva all around. His knee shifted between my legs, separating them and lifting me to sit barely on his leg, my crotch gently placed on his covered flesh and with each movement his leg applied the necessary pressure to begin get pathetic moans out of me.
"Better keep quiet, you don't want others to find out about our whereabouts" he growled through his teeth as he continued attacking my neck. Now I was sure that, not only would I end up with scratches, but also a few hickeys if Eren wasn't careful enough. What would be more embarrassing? They founding us hot and bothered against a tree or the fact that I was getting carried away sexually with the most wanted person in Paradis?
"Fuck, Eren ..." the hand on my waist tightened and I grabbed onto him, pulling me impossibly closer, fusing both bodies, one against the other's chest.
His hand guided my body back and forth, continuing to generate pressure on my core, a sweet agony that built very slowly, too slow for my liking. My legs were starting to feel numb from the bad posture Eren had me in and were shaking as his leg touched a weak spot. His fingers intertwined with my locks, tightening them and pulling my head back, having better access to my neck and being able to run his teeth through the fine skin. Eren always had a damn habit of biting, and biting hard, not to the point of bleeding, but under the circumstances, I doubted he had enough self-control to even mind ripping the skin. When his fangs aggressively bit my collarbone I grunted in discomfort, but even that feeling, the pleasure was much better. It hurt and it felt good.
Another bite, this time reaching the shoulder. His hand left my hair in peace and stretched the shirt, revealing more clearly his work on my neck and how the curve of my shoulder became more visible under the fabric.
My breathing was shaking, my hands resting on his biceps trying to find a point of balance, my nails dug into his jacket and my leg trying to curl over his for fear of falling. When his teeth came into contact with my shoulder again, aiming for the bone, I screamed in pain, pressing my body against his to dissipate the burning of his teeth on the broken skin. He let go of my shirt and squeezed my cheeks, fixing his eyes on mine violently and commanding me to shut up.
"Stay quiet if you don't want me to fuck you raw until you bleed" Before such a comment I was speechless, my neurons could not connect and I was left blank; the only thing in command now was my animalistic desire.
"Make me"
His lips slammed against mine, needy and eager. They were dry, too dry, and every brush against mine hurt, but neither of us cared about having two pairs of chapped and possibly bleeding lips. All we cared about was melting into each other. My hands dug into the hollow of his neck and his bun, which was already disarmed and strands fell on his forehead and sides, some fell right in front of his eyes, tickling my forehead and eyelashes.
I felt his hands descend to the curve of my butt and grab a good chunk of both cheeks before fully holding them. A little pressure and I was already jumping so I could hold on comfortably. Now we could both feel the center of each other, hot, throbbing and twitching. Every move Eren made to hold us together against the tree sent chills through my entire body, his notoriously erect and hard member rose in the right places and my moans were drowned out by his savage lips.
My nails dug into the back of his neck as I felt a stronger and more violent thrust on my sweet spot. I wanted it, needed it, and desired it. I wished this lustful feeling was the only thing I felt, that I would succumb and refuse to feel any other feelings. I wanted to give myself to him and use me if it meant letting go of all the negativity that had accumulated for weeks. I wanted to remove his clothes from him, to feel his sculpted, chunky muscles on the palms of my hand, wanted to feel his chest throbbing and warm on mine, wanted him completely. I pulled the jacket off his shoulders, getting stuck in his arms. Eren dropped me on the floor with a spear and took off his jacket to leave it god knows where.
"Hey! What the fuck- ”He didn't take long to kiss me again, now with his colossal body on top of mine.
I felt small under him, much more submissive, the sensation of his hands prowling the ends of my torso, reaching under the shirt and feeling my skin burning didn’t fix anything to the situation. His fingertips tickled my stomach, making me shudder every time they made their way to my abdomen. His tongue played with mine, distracting me from his deft fingers and his wickedness as he moved towards my chest and began to work on my nipples. He was a teassing bastard. His fingers poked and twisted one of my red, erect pebble. It was torturous to feel like between the puncture and the circular movement he took the time to stretch it and make it harder. With his other hand, he held my hip next to his, keeping it in it’s place as he balanced his hips against my pelvis. My legs opened involuntarily to better feel his member and in an agile movement he positioned himself between them, reconnecting both hips and placing them on both sides and holding him at the waist. With this, neither could escape the grasp of the other and we slowly melted away with each thrust and twist.
His hand came out from under my shirt and he started unbuttoning my shirt, one damn slow button at a time. Having my chest semi-exposed, his lips wandered towards my clavicle, passing the corner of my lips, the cheek, the jaw and the already sensitive neck, causing a groan to come out unexpectedly. His lips on the crook of my neck, his hands on the skin of my abdomen and his crotch on mine, I felt like I was exploding. I didn’t know where to put my hands, they went through his tousled hair, his shoulders, his biceps until they ended up under his shirt, feeling insecurely on the fingertips as touching his marked abs.
Every time I had the opportunity to admire his sturdy and worked body, it never ceased to amaze me how well puberty had done to him. His body able to surround me and cover me against the floor, pressing so that we could both feel the heat emanating from the other. I hadn't been able to tell him when he was in prison, but seeing him hunched over and exposing his torso and back muscles really had a great effect on me, seeing him wet, being able to discern some drops falling from his head onto his neck, was like seeing an oasis and I was a thirsty one, eager to sink my face into its sweet waters. I had been deprived of touching them at the time, but now that I was doing it, it wasn’t enough, I needed to see them with my own eyes as my fingers ran over them, while I ran my nails and left small marks that would dissipate in seconds.
The hand back on my chest was the boost I needed to lift his shirt up to his neck. Eren detached himself from me for a few seconds and got rid of the garment in the same way as his jacket, but he didn’t attack my neck like I so much wanted. Instead, his eyes stayed glued to my chest, seeing the work his deft fingers had done on my swollen nipples.
"Fuck" he growled as he ran his eyes over my semi-naked submissive body on the grass.
He bent down to level with his desired pebbles and caressed them with both hands, both giving them equal attention. I let my head fall back, closing my eyes and enjoying the sensation, but there was a moment when his fingers weren't enough anymore. I brought my hand up to his head, running my nails over his scalp, and pulled him forward, leaving him inches from my needy nipples. Eren got the hint because he quickly ran his tongue over one of them while the other was still torturing with his thumb and index finger. His mouth closed on the nipple and he sucked like it’s the only thing able to keep him alive, too painful but that didn't matter to me. He left a trail of saliva when he separated from the bundle with a 'pop' and dedicated himself to giving the other the same attention. I groaned at the needed action, causing his dick to hit my core. I was losing his mind, it was too much and at the same time, it wasn’t enough. I needed to continue, I wanted it with every fiber of my being. My nails had nothing better to do than run down his back and my legs wedged closer to his waist. I felt his dick throb and couldn't help thinking of the veins that ran through it, ending on his pretty and red head, he pre-sum that was surely coming out and wetting his pants, I couldn't help but wish to had him inside me and feel those same veins brush my velvet walls and go crazy with each thrust.
As my thoughts wandered of what was to come, Eren's lips left my nipples and focused back on my neck, this time on the side where my scar was. He left little kisses around the shoulder and around the mark, running up and down the shape, ending a little above the chest. His action was too sweet, too tender compared to his wild and hungry movements. My eyes widened instantly, if his intention was to make me uncomfortable, he had done it. If the intention was to ruin the fervid and hectic moment by reliving the scariest moment of my life, he was damned succeeding. How could I keep my composure when he was kissing the mark I had "earned" by going on a mission to rescue him? How could I stay calm when the memories of an onslaught of titans haunted my mind again, ready to devour me while I was lying on the ground with my movement equipment displaced and my shoulder immobilized by the bleeding wound? The memory of a stone flying towards my face, dodging it at the last moment and ending up hitting my shoulder bone, dislocating it, tearing the skin and flesh and noticing how the blood spurted out, soaking my shirt and jacket. My breathing started to hit, and not in the good way, and apparently Eren wasn’t realizing or hadn't taken it the wrong way.
It was like a bucket of cold water in pure winter. My mind suddenly cleared and every trace of heat my body ever had dissipated, leaving only a cold, stiff container.
"Wait, wait...no, no, this is bad" I put my hands on his shoulders and jerked him off.
"Why?" His eyes didn’t deign to inspect mine. Any normal person in their right mind, just by looking at my pale face could deduct that something was wrong.
"Why? I- You are the number one enemy in the world and of the military police, I would have to give you up and not making up with you right now"
I was babbling as well as shaking. I got up and settled onto my legs, sitting stiffly on the ground. Eren had come to the side before my body crashed against his when I got up and he was looking at me without any expression, as if nothing had happened, as if the only one who had been feeling something, even if it was a minimal sensation of pleasure, it was me, and that made me feel sick.
"I would have to be angry, make you shit on the floor and take you to pieces towards the wall Sina" at any moment I was going to throw up, I knew it. I knew my body perfectly to know that in every moment of tension and panic, my stomach would start to annoy me, to go into spasms and hit me internally. "I shouldn't be doing this with you"
"Is that so bad? Listen to your desires, follow your instincts? " His hands came to rest on my waist and without any permission from me, he placed me on his lap, both of us being face to face, chest to chest.
His words entered my ears and stayed reverberating in my mind. What to do? I was doing everything wrong, but at the same time they felt so good. I wanted to continue thoroughly, but I knew that morally it was wrong, more than wrong, it was horrible what I was doing, anyone could tell me that. I felt bad about myself, but ... deep inside me, there was a small feeling that was getting bigger and bigger and wanted, screamed, to be released. I was so indecisive and overwhelmed that all I could do was cry.
Pathetic. I was really pathetic.
I lowered my head on his shoulder, keeping the tears from being visible to this callous shit. His hands on my waist didn't feel at all comforting as he began to move his thumb in a circular motion. My hands formed into fists and I hit his shoulders repeatedly, each hit receiving a kiss on the head. My energies were exhausted at the very begining and I rested my fists on my waist, my head now barely suspended in front of him, not looking at him.
"I hate you" he kissed my shoulder.
"I know" another kiss, this time on the other shoulder, on my scar.
"I fucking hate you" my knuckles turned white from how hard I was clenching my fists.
"I know" he kissed a tear that had escaped my lashes and was running freely down my cheek.
"You're a piece of shit"
I opened my eyes to find a pair of beautiful turquoise eyes, bright and full of life. Eren placed his hand on my cheek, running his thumb every time a tear fell down it. He leaned down and captured my lips with his sweetly, the tears falling and falling, faster and faster and more forming in my closed eyes. The kiss had a salty taste, my heart was about to leave my chest and when Eren broke away I knew that I wasn’t going to be able to take it anymore.
"…I know"
Ben 10 Crossover Alien : Steel Quill
Ben as Steel Quill :
Tumblr media
Albedo as Steel Quill :
Tumblr media
Name : Steel Quill
Homeworld : Mobius (Sonic dimension)
DNA source : Metal Sonic
Powers :
Enhanced speed (faster than time, ben fastest form)
Enhanced strenght (is in the top 10 of ben strongest forms)
Enhanced reflex
Copy powers (from the omnitrix and from the opponent)
Full robotic body
Shapeshifting
Can fly
Laser beam
Regeneration
High IA
Can breath in space
Different forms (neo, overlord, metallix, those forms can be used with ultimate and omni enhanced too)
Get stronger every seconds
Shield matrice
Laser beam
Spindash
Metal absorbtion
Weakness :
Cant copy magic powers
Its energy can be absorbed
Can lose battery if use too much energy
Story : this form got unlocked by Ben after fighting Metal sonic (plot of my crossover serie/Alternative Universe, i need peoples to make the plot better), after absorbing many peoples from the multiverse data, Metal has become even stronger than alien X, hyper sonic, goku mui and superman prime one billion (basically one million but with a blue sun), ben was deseperate, but then, the omnitrix said "new DNA unlocked", then ben turned into this form, he was able to keep up with metal, forcing them to become neo, but then became both metallix form, but steel quil was stronger due to being the prime of his species, so he surpassed metal, then metal absorbed albedo ultimatrix (albedo made a clone of himself with echo echo so metal could take it) then became ultimate metallix, ben then used shockrock DNA to become omni enhanced metallix, ben and metal fighted, but ben took the advantage and beated metal, but metal wasnt finished here, he faked his death then mephiles (who fighted shadow but then teleported to metal) grabbed ben and then metal putted his hands on ben watch to absorb it, but sadly, the failsafe protected ben from the absorbtion, and made free all the aliens, leading the next saga of this serie : omni-escaped
Funfact :
The omni-escaped version of steel quill is called Metallo (because he is white and green)
Ben dont use this form a lot, for the same reasons he dont use alien X a lot
A lot of peoples doesnt like this form nor its omni escaped version due to what metal sonic did in the multiverse
This form cant copy mana, or any kind of magic since it doesnt have any data/DNA
Even without copy, its a pretty physically strong and fast form (fast and strong as the hedgehog mobian form of ben)
Albedo unlocked this form too
At first metal didnt liked these forms or the omni-escapdd version, but after some times, he started to consider them as brothers, some kind of way to show respect for them, even when not transformed, wich can lead to fun situations
(Name idea by Spyro Dreamurr:3)
What quirks do you think would work best with Izuku’s analysis capabilities/skills? For example Izuku would be great with “Transform” as he would be able to impersonate someone as well as use their quirk once he has analyzed them and then getting their blood.
One, “Transform” would not work great with Izuku. His analytical abilities are focused on Quirks and Toga can only copy Quirks after an Awakening. If he was very charismatic or good at studying people, then maybe, but he’s more book smart then people smart. Second, since that aren’t many Quirks that would fit his analytical abilities, I’m going to be widening the scope a little to any Quirks that would fit Izuku in some way. Finally, I will give a special mention to ”Stress”. Powered by his endless anxiety, Izuku will crush all villians in his path.
Tumblr media
Twin Impact: While it just be my own enjoyment of the Quirk, I really think that "Twin Impact" would work great with Izuku as it offers a lot more in terms of variety. This would make it so he can still act like a traditional hero, that being the person who punches people really hard, while still being able to put his own spin on the matter by allowing him to put more thought into how he fights. That and it fits with the idea of Izuku seeming simple but having a lot more to him then people would first expect.
Overclock: This one is more for the personality reasons since it acts as a good connection to how Izuku works a lot of the time. He thinks fast, he acts quickly, and he talks at a mile a minute. Don't get me wrong, I still think that Izuku could do some amazing things with this power, especially with the backing and training of a place like UA. It could even work with his whole analytical abilities, using that slowed perception ability to properly analyze and counter his opponents just like Sherlock Holmes.
Copy: This one will seem a little redundant with Izuku’s analytical skills, since “Copy” already downloads all the information about the Quirk into the user’s head, I still think it could work out well. Not only because Izuku’s creativity and understanding of Quirks can really make them shine and be used to their fullest, it would work out well for Izuku since he is really good at thinking on his feet. So even if you gave him three random Quirks, he could still come up with some plan to use them as effectively as possible.
Hardening: This one is a bit more for story and personality reasons, used as a way to show that Izuku is getting better and better as he develops as a hero, going from a weak shell to a powerful set of armor. It even fits the whole idea with the series. That no matter how many times Izuku is knocked down, he will recover from that and come back stronger for it. Plus with his dedication and creativity, I fully expect him to come out the other end of UA using the Quirk just like Mr. Brave.
Incite: I know this seems like an odd pick for someone like Izuku, but I think that it fits. While he was shy and quiet through his life, we see throughout the series that Izuku has a very real effect on the people he interacts with. Though his words and his actions, he is able to inspire trust and courage in the people around, perfectly fitting a Quirk like "Incite". Plus it kind of fits with the idea of Izuku being a different kind of hero and how the top position should inspire heroic actions in others.
Two-Faced Commentary
People went really big this week! There were a lot of cool tropes, novel mechanics, and a surprising number of white cards with hexproof.
Tumblr media
@alextfish - Manifold Core
The front side of this card is a very powerful cost reduction effect, especially given that it applies to a set of cards that often don’t have any colored mana in their costs. I suspect that would often function as a combo piece in decks that don’t intend to transform it, to a degree that it overshadows the rest of the card a bit, but the overall flavor is good. The card is also very aggressive when transformed on turn 4, although that you need to four-for-one yourself to get the creature serves as a powerful check.
Tumblr media
@bread-into-toast - Guilt-Wracked Artist
A genuinely horrifying card concept. I’m not 100% sure that I follow what the treasure represents in the story (the key?), but it’s still very unnerving.
Mechanically, the card holds together reasonably well, in that if you get the card in the graveyard the “right” way, then it’s easier to pay the disturb cost, and the mutual discard plays reasonably with a graveyard-focused strategy.
Tumblr media
@decayingbooks - Graceful Swan
This is a great transformation trope, and a very strategy-heavy flip card. Flip cards that gain value by flipping back and forth are established design space, with Huntmaster of the Fells being the most notable, but this card adds the additional wrinkle that, once you’ve accumulated enough bird tokens, you want it to be night on your own turn to take advantage of the ability to buff your tokens. (Although both activated abilities do have value on your opponent’s turn.)
While it’s doing reasonable flavor work, the ability that makes your bird creature tokens humans may be overkill. There’s nothing wrong with trinket text, and in a set with human tribal elements it could be genuinely relevant, but the card is already fairly complicated.
Tumblr media
@deg99 - Seraph of Salvation
The creature revealing its true demonic nature (or falling angel, but my understanding is that this is the former) trope is a good fit for a TDFC. There’s a ton packed into this card - the front side on its own is very flashy, and threatening an instant-speed Mythos of Snapdax once the card is on the field changes the way the game is played significantly. (Wrathing at instant speed is a big deal.) The mechanics of each side don’t feel all that strongly connected, but they make enough sense on their own. I like the aesthetic decision to leave the demon W/B rather than making it mono-black, as its effect is more strongly associated with white.
Tumblr media
@dimestoretajic - Zosusk, Cruel Taskmaster
The front half of this card is extremely strong. Even at four mana, a super-Ashnod’s Altar that can go in the command zone is a scary proposition, especially given that it’s also difficult to remove and can cash itself out for a treasure if it would die. The indestructibility is arguably overkill, especially as the card can generate a lot of value even if it is removed right away.
Similarly, I’m not sure if the back half particularly needs hexproof; if you’ve got any kind of board, it generates a lot of value, and I think that on balance it’s better if that’s answerable.
The idea of a card that’s sort of a side-grade when transformed is interesting, as is the tension about whether or not to cash out your creatures if it’s going to transform, and I like that the tension is abated a bit by the fact that both halves make sense in the same deck, even though they operate differently.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
@fractured-infinity - Velis, Distorted Reflection
This is a really clever twist on the Evil Twin design space. The back side is very powerful, but the effort required to get there is real and meaningful, and the front side is enough of a slightly bad deal on its own that the transformation ability isn’t just a freebie. Needing to specifically see a creature with the same name die is also fairly clever, as it means that Velis needs help to transform. (You can’t just crash Velis into whatever it’s copying.) The back side does have a pretty high level of inevitability; once you’re at six mana, you can effectively “steal” any creature your opponent plays before they can attack with it, and in Commander can be used to keep other commanders off of the field. This latter feature might make this card safer as a non-legendary creature.
Tumblr media
@gollumni - Ral, Untapped Potential
The front half of this card makes a lot of sense as a Ral card. The sparking condition doesn’t tie directly into Ral’s own sparking story in any obvious way (he sparked when he discovered his partner was cheating on him), but it mechanically ties into what the character is about and strongly enables his fairly stiff sparking condition.
If I have a quibble with this card, it’s that you often won’t be able to productively make use of Ral the turn he flips. To do so, you’d need a fourth instant or sorcery that you can cast that turn, this time at full price, and if it’s a very cheap spell then the amount of value you’re getting is pretty modest.
Tumblr media
@greensunzenith - Escape from the City
What I think really elevates this card above the basic idea of a Saga that transforms into a creature is that it does something with the lore counters after transforming. Unless I’m missing something, haste on Hazoret is mostly superfluous, as it will nearly always have been on the battlefield from the beginning of your turn when it transforms. (It could still matter if you double proliferate or if it changes controllers, I guess.)
Tumblr media
@grornt - Inconspicuous Youth
This card is another fantastic choice for a transformation trope. This one does a magical girl transformation in a non-obvious but flavorful way, where the character transforms specifically in response to a major threat, and then reverts when the threat is gone. That it transforms even when the major threat is your own card feels like an acceptable flavor bend for the sake of making the card playable, and that it reverts as soon as any major threat is gone is a reasonable choice for simplicity. (It could also check for 6 MV creatures at the end of the turn.)
I went back and forth on whether I liked the back half having defender. On one hand, it allows the back half to be far bigger and scarier than if it didn’t have defender; without that, the transformed half needs to shrink or the card needs to cost more. It’s also fine flavor. On the other hand, it really gums up the board, as it’s very difficult to profitably attack into the card. Additionally, it kind of creates an “...oh” moment when reading the back.
Lastly, I think that a white creature just straight up having hexproof is a bit of a bend (although not one wholly without precedent.) The flavor helps justify it (and it’s definitely mechanically relevant), but flavor can justify a lot of things.
Despite these questions, I do really think the design is very clever, and it was one of my favorites from this week.
Tumblr media
@helloijustreadyourpost - Marchesa, Tyrant Queen
The mirrored Abyss effects are clever together, and the flavor helps to sell the shift. The nontoken clause on the first side is doing several interesting things in terms of not only making the card a bit stronger as a control tool, but in helping enable the flip. Giving opponents a natural out on the back side helps check the overall power level of the card as well, and I think it’s a positive that any wrath is an answer for the back half in Commander. While the flavor makes sense and it certainly makes the card stronger, I could take or leave the second ability on the back.
Tumblr media
@hiygamer - Penultimate Form
I like that this card cleverly ties the “quest” condition to something that the reverse side of the card will naturally need. I also think that the triggered ability on the back is extremely clever, in that helps make the card less tricky. Without the triggered ability on the back, there’s a not-immediately-obvious interaction where casting instant spells in response to each other allows the creature to transform with five loyalty counters on it, which is a major advantage in that the card can use its -4 ability right away and survive. Stealing a creature is extremely powerful protection for a planeswalker and strong in general. However, because a similar ability is present on the back, players don’t need to recognize that stacking instants correctly allows the planeswalker side to start with five+ loyalty counters, as you can get the same effect by just casting them in sequence.
Tumblr media
@hypexion - Sigarda, Fallen Grace
The transform condition on this card is quite difficult, even with the amount of Eldrazi token-making available and its ability to fuel itself, but the front half is plenty strong. Large, evasive, efficient hexproof creatures are something that I think they shy away from a bit now (and white rarely gets creatures that just have unconditional hexproof), although the throwbacks to Sigarda’s first card are clear. While the back half of the card is a meaningful upgrade, the front half is strong enough that it stands on its own - many decks may not worry about flipping the card at all.
Tumblr media
@i-am-the-one-who-wololoes - Ormendhal Weakened
Ormendhal is a potent abyss effect, and having it wait until your upkeep to trigger for all players is a good safety choice - it gives your opponents a healthy window of time to respond to it. The backside is something of a consolation prize, as in many circumstances it will operate like a basic Plains, but the flavor is interesting. I don’t totally understand the decision to allow the land to tap for colorless instead of just white; outside of an environment where colorless mana costs exist, it won’t make much of a difference, and while there have been Eldrazi on Innistrad (and Ormendahl was affected by Emrakul), the connection seems a little loose to justify what’s otherwise an unusual line of rules text.
Tumblr media
@jsands84 - Battered Lamp
This is a really fun design. That you need another creature to “rub” the lamp is a cute piece of text, and allows for other costs on the card to be pulled down to really attractive levels
The degree of inevitability on this card (5-power, evasive, bounces any blockers your opponent has, requires either artifact destruction or instant-speed creature destruction), along with its complexity, might push it to rare, although I like that the numbers work out such that this doesn’t win the game on its own.
I’m not sure whether this is intentional, but you can effectively get “infinite wishes” by having Zephyr Djinn bounce itself when you transform it for the last time. It’s enough of a tempo hit that I don’t think it’s a power level concern, and if you’ve already made (and probably attacked with) a 5-power evasive creature twice, then there’s a good chance that you’d rather attack with the Djinn the third time than to bounce it, but I felt that it was an interaction worth pointing out.
Tumblr media
@kellylogs - Klara, Embereth Aspirant
This is a sufficiently clean, elegant transform condition that, even though this is not an existing planeswalker character, tells a clear story. I do feel like the backside of this card could be a bit stronger; if you’ve successfully attacked alone with Klara, blockers may not be something that’s causing you problems, and in an aggressive deck a 3/2 with Exalted may be at least as powerful planeswalker side in many scenarios. (Although being able to get a 2/2 Vigilance creature right away means that you don’t fall back much in terms of board presence.)
The -7 ability in particular could probably also use a bit more juice. While it’s technically a three-turn ult, its impact disappears if Klara does, and the +2 ability required to get to it is pretty weak (especially on the turn when Klara transforms, where it will generally do nothing.)
Tumblr media
@misterstingyjack - King Pakesh II
The two sides of this card are loosely mechanically connected (they both like it if your opponents’ creatures die, although both halves can also be fueled in other ways), but the flavor helps tie them together. I think that limiting the front half to one treasure/turn is a good decision both in that it helps keep the cost of the card down and in that the card isn’t so good that you don’t care about the back half. Both halves have unique mechanics that still feel reasonably elegant and flavorful, and I like that the card doesn’t try to do too much. This is also a cool recontextualization of Disturb in general.
Tumblr media
@morbidlyqueerious - Niko, Quizzical Javelineer
You mentioned that this card is revised from an earlier contest where the goal was to make a card that included every letter of the alphabet, and while that shows in the card’s name, the overall package isn’t stretching or squishing tooooo much to meet that criterion. Niko offers a larger amount of repeatable scry that exceeds what’s generally printed, although needing to connect with what’s otherwise a gray ogre to get it makes it such that it’s not likely to fire too many times in one game. The flip condition is challenging enough that I think the strongish +2 ability on the reverse side is justified, especially as it will often leave Niko vulnerable. If anything, I think the reverse side could perhaps be a smidge stronger.
I’m not sure whether this is intentional or not, but I do think that it’s interesting that it’s easier to meet the card threshold for the when you’re on the draw, but easier to meet the unblocked attack condition when you’re on the play.
Tumblr media
@naban-dean-of-irritation - Will, Stoic Cryomancer
This is a pretty clever way of handling a flip walker that represents power sets found in two different colors, and the card does a solid job of feeling like a tag team. Another cool thing about this card is that it defies the legendary rule as long as you leave both copies on different sides.
If I have a critique of the card, it’s that I do think it’s a bit difficult to reach Will’s ult, however. If you play the card on curve (turn 3), you generally can’t flip it until turn 4. From there, you need to use the +2 three times to get to 10 loyalty, which is only possible if your opponent consistently has at least two creatures. That takes you to turn 7, which means that you can use the Ult on turn 8, making it a five-turn ult (or four turns if you were able to flip Will on turn 1). The ult only does something, however, if you control another planeswalker. While the ult is not a big deal on a planeswalker that’s this flexible, I think it could be a smidge cheaper. (-9 would save you no turns on building to it, but means that you don’t need to have another walker in play to use it.)
I’m also not sure if overtly making typeless permanents is something that’s worth putting on a card, given the potential confusion. The rules can handle it, and there are ways of making it happen in-game already, but similar gameplay can be achieved in more conventional ways.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
@nicolbolas96 - Ugin, Last Among Elders
This is another card where the front half is almost worth it on its own, so the relatively steep flip requirement is fine, as it serves as more of a bonus. Life gain and card draw aren’t the things I most strongly associate with Ugin, but the card draw works as a mirror of Nicol Bolas, the Ravager, and the package is sort of like a miniature version of Ugin’s ult.
This is a small thing, but I wish Ugin was a bit bigger than 3/3. I realize that the similar Nicol Bolas, the Ravager, is only a 4/4, but 3/3 feels a bit small for an Elder Dragon.
The planeswalker side is recognizably Ugin, serving as a sort of greatest-hits of his associated cards. The novel ultimate will win the game on the spot in any deck built around it, but as you spent 5+8 mana on Ugin already and upticked it three times, that’s totally fine.
Tumblr media
@nine-effing-hells - Mysterious Ruins
It’s not totally obvious which part of the ability the Revelation ability word refers to, but overall the card tells a clear story. A land that transitions into cardflow in the late midgame and a (kinda) finisher in the late game makes a lot of sense, although opponents that are too worried about the reverse side can save a kill spell for it. A land that enters the battlefield untapped doesn’t need to do much else to be good, so the high overall investment required to flip it is a good decision. Decks that want this sort of effect will tend to be controlling decks that can make better use of the mutual draw as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
@partlycloudy-partlyfuckoff - Tender of the Wilds
The names on this card are clever, and help tell a different story than the superficially similar Mayor of Avabruck.
This is a very strong effect; the back side in particular is both large for a 2-mana werewolf and has a very strong anthem effect. While a good fit for a werewolf deck, this card is strong enough to go almost anywhere (and the front half is slightly better in a non-werewolf deck.)
This is a minor thing, but the more common templating for abilities like the backside has is to roll the stats it provides into the creature itself (printing it as a 4/3) and then to print the ability as “Other non-human creatures you control...” However, I think the templating you’ve chosen is potentially reasonable on this card for the sake of mirroring the front half.
Tumblr media
@piccadilly-blue - Gavony Town Hall
This is a very difficult card to evaluate, because its impact on the game can vary a ton depending on how things are ordered.
This needs to go in a token deck to do anything at all, but the day-side drawback of turning off all of your creatures is harsher than the anthem on the back is beneficial, if you’re trying for an aggro strategy. On the flip side, there’s a lot of potential to gum up the board quite a bit with indestructible hexproof tokens if you play the card after your token producers. Token strategies already sometimes gum up the board, and this creates the potential for game stalls. Your opponent can get around this by passing their turn to shift to night, but that’s a fairly major tempo loss, and it sets you up well for the crack back.
I do like that there’s some interesting things that can be done with wraths and with creating token copies of cards with powerful static effects while on the day side.
Tumblr media
@pocketvikings - Covetous Vizier
One of two “genie of the lamp” cards this week, I believe that this card is specifically a reference to the Disney movie Aladdin. (I could be wrong about that - I’m not super familiar with genies.) This card is basically Phylactery Lich on an installment plan, although you spend more total mana and some life. Additionally, your opponent has a window of time to respond with creature removal, which is not the case for the Lich. In compensation, the front half of the card can be played profitably even if you control no artifacts. Black does, as of Midnight Hunt, apparently get 2/3 creatures with upside for 1B at higher rarities, but a 2/3 for 1B with a useful effect is already, on its own, a satisfactory creature. The first question I had with this card is why it wasn’t just a lich, but not every card needs to use the most obvious or most-established flavor for an effect - and it’s more memorable that it doesn’t.
Tumblr media
@quillpaw - Shellcrown Phoenix
A few different phoenix cards - Everquill Phoenix and Rekindling Phoenix - have used complicated tokens to try to mimic this effect, and a few DFC cards represent hatching eggs, but this card is novel in combining them, and I think it works really well.
The one slight oddness with this card is that it’s possible to miss your chance to transform it back, if you don’t have the mana (or don’t wish to spend the mana) to flip it at the time that the last counter is removed. It’s possible to play around this by attacking with fewer creatures, but I don’t think that the card as a whole is so strong that this limitation is necessary. Additionally, due to the cost of the card and the flip condition, I feel like the game will often be over before the card can flip back, but it still has utility in getting the last bit of damage in in a gummed up board state.
Tumblr media
@real-aspen-hours - Gathering Storm
The front half of this card is very strong, offering heavy levels of card selection at a reasonable price on a card type that’s relatively difficult to interact with. I don’t know that it’s over the top (three mana is a lot for just selection), but the card doesn’t hinge completely on
I respect the decision to use a simple transform condition. I feel like the “obvious” angle is to condition it on having a certain number of cards in your graveyard, and that’s potentially safer (the current version will, I think, sometimes be flipped with just one very strong card in your graveyard), but even that requires some building around, so it’s probably not that big of a deal. I do like giving players a decision
Tumblr media
@reaperfromtheabyss - Wavewhisper Egret
This is a lot of card for a two-mana uncommon. The front half would be an attractive card even without the ability to transform, and the transform effect will generally scry at least 4. Blue can get 2-power fliers with upside at higher rarities on occasion, but this is certainly a very aggressively-costed version of this creature profile.
I also think the decision to flavor this as a card from Kaladesh, rather than from New Phyrexia or Alara, was an interesting one. It injects a bit of light horror into a setting that doesn’t have much of that.
Tumblr media
@shakeszx - A Tempest Foretold
Having the saga exile itself and return transformed is an elegant way to kill two birds with one stone, dealing both with the sacrifice clause on the card and helpfully disposing of the now-irrelevant lore counters.
I’m not 100% sure how to parse the first ability on this card - I’m assuming that it’s meant to pull from your graveyard or cards you own in exile (and maybe the stack), since those are under most circumstances the only zones that will have instant and sorcery cards in them when the ability resolves that aren’t your hand, but as written it sort of reads as though you can grab cards from places like your opponent’s graveyard. The rules do intervene to stop you from putting other players’ cards into your hand, but I feel that the wording on this could be clearer.
I’m also not sure that the back side works the way we want it to. In cases of cards that exile themselves on resolution, I’m not sure that Izzuke will recognize that it’s the same card, and any other card will go to the graveyard upon resolution, where it won’t be recognized as the same card if it’s then exiled again. (The rules could maybe be altered to support this, but it’d create additional complications.) Additionally, I’m not sure that exiling your hand in order to slowly potentially get the instants and sorceries back one at a time really feels worth it; Izzuke is a good deal for four mana, but even with Ward 4, the blowout potential is pretty huge. If your opponent saves any removal for it, you’re very likely to lose.
All that said, the general concept of a saga that builds up a resource that the creature it flips into can expend is a strong one.
Tumblr media
@snugz - Queen Bee
Assuming that you hit your land drops and that nothing happens to your drones, this card will flip after two land drops, having created seven 1/1 fliers. The reverse side will then make these fliers 2/2’s, three of which can attack right away (assuming this occurred over two turns). In most formats, this means that your opponent is going to be dead before the long-term value aspects of the card come into play. They are still relevant in Commander and as a rebuilding option if your drone army gets wrathed, and the flavor is good, however.
On the whole, the card may be a little too efficient at building a game-winning board, especially as it is hard to remove if not removed immediately. I think the card could do fewer things and still work as a card, even though all of the individual components make flavor sense.
Tumblr media
@starch255 - Cursed Knight
There’s a lot of things I really like about this card. I like that its toughness is low compared to its power, so it will usually either kill something or die in any combat with another creature. I like that the Frog side is still a knight. This feels like a reasonably in-pie way to give white a well-above-the-curve creature, and if your opponent doesn’t have an answer or a body to throw in front of it, this puts out much larger life swings than two-mana uncommons normally ever do. Even if your opponent tosses a 1/1 in front of this, you’re still up a bit.
Tumblr media
@whuh-oh - Masked Debutante
This card has a lot of moving pieces, but the overall package makes sense. The actual power level of the card hinges a lot on your opponent having at least three creatures already in play, but there are enough outs to it that it doesn’t feel hopeless in any case.  I also like that the creatures have to actually hit you to get the counters, limiting the total amount of value you can steal. I also like that the card doesn’t have any sort of anti-sacrifice mechanism built in; it’s game-winning enough of the time as it is, and doesn’t need to have what answers do exist for it to be shut off.
I’m not 100% sure that the creature-stealing is really a red thing, but tying it to the survival of the creature helps, and in general makes the card much more fair.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
@wilsonosgoodmcman - Venser, Close to Death
In inventing a new card subtype, this is the most ambitious card for this week. I also like the flavor of a doomed planeswalker having only minus abilities, and lining up the planeswalker so that it needs to die to using one of its abilities (or take damage on your turn, I guess) is a nice little minigame that isn’t trivial, but also is easy enough that you can usually expect to flip Venser if your opponent doesn’t have a substantially greater board presence than you.
The third ability on Venser should probably target only other permanents, to avoid confusion about what happens if it targets Venser, but that’s pretty minor. (I’m assuming that the intent is that it doesn’t flicker Venser.)
Even though it costs you (usually) a creature and the effort of flipping Venser, I think that the +1 on the reverse side might be a bit much. While all of the abilities are powerful, that one stands out as especially tough to beat.
Tumblr media
@wolkemesser - Keepsafe Bear
This card tells a cool story, and I appreciate the work you did in balancing the difficulty to flip the card. At first, I sort of felt like it went a little overboard in terms of preventing you from flipping it (you basically need a wrath or for your opponent to block it or attack into it with a much larger creature), but the front half and back half are both strong enough that I think it’s okay for there to be some fairly specific hoops.
The back half does just enough, I think. There’s an alternate design for this card where the back half loses indestructible and the front half is harder to flip, and that version is probably a bit easier to print, but I think there’s a place for the higher-challenge version presented here as well.
Madonna “Donna” Redgrave
Tumblr media
(Art Credit)
Age: -.6 DMC 5 (Born roughly 8 months after events of DMC 5) Occupation: Devil Hunter, Bartender/Bar Owner Aliases: The Legacy of Power, Demon-Slaying Bartender,  Date of Birth: August 13 Species: Cambion (Demon-Human, with Umbran Witch and Priestess descent) Ethnicity: Anglo-Italian-Romani Possible other Asian heritage (Umbran Witch Heritage)(Based on HCs of Lady and Dante ethnicities) Affiliations: Devil May Cry (Main Branch/Lover’s City Location) Theme Song: Takedown by Blue Stahli (XINA cut)
Personality Donna strongly takes after her mother, being both business-minded and serious about her demon hunting activities. Through this, she was compelled to converting the original Devil May Cry shop into a more sustainable bar to fund ongoing day-to-day, as demonic incursions dwindle in numbers. Ultimately, though, she still had a deep love for killing demons like her father. She often uses it as a means to seek an adrenaline high, which will result in her fighting stylishly, in the same way that Dante has.
As a result of her almost nonexistent relationship with her father, Donna prefers to distance herself from Dante’s brand as owner of Devil May Cry, even converting the signage to use a lit silhouette of her mother, and never being seen wearing red. When fighting, she remains calm and cool, preferring to take her foes out in as few moves as possible, only getting more loose and flippant as she loses herself in the rush of an exciting battle.
Though she was largely raised alone by Lady, Donna has a strong familial bond to Nero and Kyrie, and paradoxically looks up to her uncle Vergil as the ultimate peak of “cool”.
Like her father she often takes jobs pro bono, though she often feels vindicated in doing so, due to her otherwise solid profits in the business with high-paying jobs, taking on extra work from Nero’s branch, and the bar component doing fairly well. Though she often pretends to be intent to take payment, Donna will disappear altogether when payment is due, in the case of such jobs.
Biography Madonna Redgrave was born a little over half a year following the events of Devil May Cry 5, with Lady having been pregnant for about two weeks during the events of the game. About 7 months into term Donna was born premature to her mother, though she ultimately was born and grew successfully. Though her early childhood was largely uneventful, by the metric of a child to two devil hunters; being largely taken care of by her mother, who had taken to residing in the Devil May Cry shop, and staying with her cousin Nero when Lady took a job to create a financial windfall.
Never having met her father, Donna is only regaled with stories of his various heroics and endeavors growing up, largely with a more positive energy by Nero than Lady, who retains her somewhat annoyed energy when remembering her child’s father. Though Donna would take somewhat more to her mother’s perspective on many of Dante’s exploits, these stories still would ultimately motivate the cambion to become a demon hunter, though initial training she sought out was without Lady’s knowledge.
As a young adult, she would eventually take over Devil May Cry, after having built a small following in the underground as a capable, and affordable, hunter for hire. Though she preferred to keep the business as one that would maintain operation consistently, rather than simply taking on commissions for various demonic incursions, especially in the post-Dante era where it had grown even more infrequent, with numerous hell gate operations being taken down by her predecessors. Thus, Donna’s field of work is both more diverse, and more steady, in addition to maintaining a bar.
Donna’s ongoing fight against demons and the mysterious “angels” (demonic entities from a counterpart realm that claims itself to be paradise, but is in fact simply the highest positional level of hell) is defined as her unique struggle as the defender of humanity.
Abilities and Skills  -Combat Proficiency: Donna is highly skilled in both armed and unarmed combat. Without relying on her superhuman abilities, Donna is able to take on swarms of demons with little incident. --Swordswomanship: Though capable in a number of styles of sword, Donna prefers curved weapons, especially favoring her nodachi, though she has shown a capacity with more straight-edged swords, she prefers to solely manifest them for her ranged mirage blades, though she has used them as shortswords in a pinch. --Martial Arts: The majority of Donna’s combat is hand-to-hand, fighting in a sort of mixed style, often depending on the Devil Arm she uses, she has been known to manifest copies of them when without one, switching style accordingly. --Gunplay: Prior to the manifesting of her ability to create weapons out of her demonic energy, Donna was fairly capable with firearms of various make, and is even still a user of Kalina Ann Mk IV after this revelation. In the earlier days of her demon hunting she was known to use a broad variety of firearms, before tightening up her arsenal after learning to manifest weapons. --Mirage Blades: Developed after gaining access to Devil Soul, Donna became able to create Mirage Blades, like her uncle though red in color with a somewhat thinner design. Through this power she also works up various weapons on the fly, including recreations of various Devil Arms she has seen or used (though usually not at full power or including their inborn abilities), including a recreation of Rebellion that she called Revolutionary Memory.
-Acrobatics: Though possessed of natural agility, Donna is capable of various technical feats reminiscent of her mother’s. Often she was able to easily move with Kalina Ann, and often still utilizes the weapon’s recoil while in Gunslinger to move with a great speed, and charge towards enemies.
Superhuman Powers and Abilities -Cambion Physiology: In part due to her descendance from Sparda, but also due to her mother’s brief transformation into a demon (Artemis), Donna is a powerful demonic entity who possesses physical abilities that far exceed that which is possible for a mortal human; disregarding any degree of training they may have. Her potential and ability are in a similar realm to that of Nero, Vergil, and Dante, though due to inexperience and a lack of similar caliber opponents she currently trails. This additionally grants the following specific abilities: --Superhuman Strength --Superhuman Speed and Reflexes --Accelerated Healing --Superhuman Endurance --Demonic Power Manipulation: By imbuing her demonic power into objects, and otherwise focusing it in the air, Donna is able to enhance various items and create blades of pure energy from her willpower. --Teleportation: Much like her father, uncle, and cousin, Donna is able to teleport various distances. Biasing more towards Vergil’s side, she is able to teleport much more quickly, with more versatility, and a further range than her father and cousin. --Devil Soul: The counterpart to Nero’s Devil Bringer, Donna is able to channel demonic energy into a projection-like construct. At a lower degree of use she is able to create large arms to enhance attacks and defenses, as well as conjuring a torso around herself to defend from attacks that hit an area, or break through other forms of defense. By further focusing she can actually create a fully-formed doppelganger that appears to be a red semi-transparent recreation of her father’s devil trigger form. Donna’s Devil Soul wasn’t unlocked until she was defeated (and nearly slain) by Azazel through his power of scapegoating. She counteracted this through the use of Devil Soul’s doppelganger. --Devil Trigger (Not Unlocked)
-Style Powers: A natural progression from her father’s abilities, Donna is able to harness her mixed umbran-demonic heritage into a force of power commonly referred to as “Styles” which permit her to more effectively and efficiently focusing her demonic powers in a conduit to optimize her combat output. Styles were her original primary method of combat prior to gaining Devil Soul. --Royalguard: Functions identically to Dante’s --Swordmaster: Initially functions identically to Dante’s, though following the unlock of Devil Soul, and thus Mirage Blades, it takes to allowing Donna to manifest and conjure various weapons and devil arms, while swapping between them rapidly because of their energetic nature. --Dark Avenger: A focus and conduit of her power, allowing her to become motivated and fight in a style almost identical of her uncle. This style quickly consumes her Devil Trigger gauge, as well as her Style Meter. --Ranged Fortress: Essentially Gunslinger, though once she has unlocked, and begins to use Mirage Blades, this mode will greatly enhance them, making the blades longer, able to fire many at the same time, and utilize multiple techniques specifically with these, such as firing large, Rebellion-like, blades, as well as pinning targets to a specific position to be unable to escape her.
Weaknesses and Limitations -The forces of Inferno and Paradise: Demons and Angels, as well as pretty much any supernatural force, are more capable of injuring Donna in a more significant way than mundane means. This is shared with her fellow cambions.
-Styles: The use of a style requires not only her demonic power, but also a type of energy that she often refers to as “Style Energy”. By consuming her style energy to swap, or utilize any of her styles’ specific powers, she steadily becomes more fatigued than other abilities of hers.
Arsenal -Akaja (Portmanteau of Red and Monarch/king): A nodachi-style sword that Donna almost always has on her person, worn across the back of her waist, and a devil arm that represents her own demonic power. Like Rebellion, it serves as a physical manifestation of her devil trigger power, though she has yet to unlock its true power. Once a mundane sword, Donna was able to imprint her demonic power into it (unknowingly) when Devil Soul was unlocked. Using her sword much like how Vergil uses Yamato, she often relies on an iai-style, converting into combos after the draw, before resheathing when her sequences are completed. -Mirage Blades (Various): Donna, at one point, used various devil arms in a similar fashion to her father, though upon unlocking Devil Soul she has largely abandoned this methodology, relying on her own power to recreate the various fighting styles of weapons she wishes to use. However, like Vergil, she most often uses them to conjure blades in the air to fly at opponents. When using her Swordmaster style she is able to emulate different weapons, costing Style Gauge when doing so, and in Gunslinger her ranged blades become longer and more wicked-looking, with the ability to perform various abilities by further consuming her Style Gauge. -Kalina Ann Mk IV: The 4th version of the Kalina Ann, and counterpart to the Mk III that her mother owns. A lightweight rocket launcher, the recoil has been intentionally exaggerated to allow combat recoil.
