oooooo white people in my replies really saying ‘I can excuse racism but I draw the line at homophobia’
Not surprised since this is the site that only talks about racism and thinks it’s a big deal when they see it demonstrated in the cartoons and comics they like *coughs* dungeonmeshi *coughs* (for example at least. I haven’t seen THIS many white ppl talk as in depth about racism on here as much as these fandom nerds, man. I stg. Like “Ohhhh, so you all DO acknowledge that racism is real? Just not in real life even if you could feel it slapping you in the face at high speed. Gotcha.” It’s crazy.
Tumblr is like, 90% white and is extremely centered around them. That’s why you barely see stuff that’s important to black and brown people ever trending here or being talked about. It has to be something incredibly huge to the point where even white people can’t ignore it like they usually do, to talk about it here.
They only talked about George Floyd here because the topic of his death became world news. Even people in other countries were talking about it. Before him, it was probably Ferguson and Trayvon Martin… most of them are still trying their best to ignore the genocides because it’s a “touchy subject.” What do you expect from white people who live in their own bubbles of comfort and refuse to pop it with a needle??? They find comfort in their privilege and faux ignorance (they love playing stupid to avoid conversations about important things outside of fandoms like, are these mfs born with half a brain dedicated to fandom or what.) That’s literally all these mfs make a big deal out of, especially on this annoying ass platform. The ao3 mfs will go to war for the site that allows racist ff and cp like it’s no big deal. I wonder how many people here even donated to the site while actively scrolling past dono posts from folks who really do need help. They act like they’re doing a civil service by defending this site that makes over the amount of it’s intended dono goal in minutes.
Then you already know as soon as you even bring up racism in the stuff they like, they start ganging up and harassing black bloggers especially, calling them TERFs and the whole nine. Anything to make that person look bad for being concerned about the racism that they have such an intense aversion to. God, it’s absolutely exhausting knowing that these people would have no problem choosing a cartoon character over your entire existence if they COULD. Isn’t that fucking sad, man?

Currently reading: I'm on the verge of quitting The Unspoken Name by A.K. Larkwood, not because it's objectively bad but because I'm not enjoying it for reasons I might noodle on about on my book blog. I have a stack of library books so I'm not sure what I'll try next.
Currently watching: @sinceyouaskedme recommended Mic the Snare and I've been watching some of his discography deep dives, which led to a very funny situation where I watched the one about Radiohead and then listened to Ok Computer by Radiohead for the first time (regarded by many as one of the greatest albums of all time), and it was very good, and I was like, I can't go online and be like "Oh my god you guys I'm sure know one else knows this but did you know Ok Computer by Radiohead is good?!"
Currently obsessed with: I looked up what turned out to be The Second Coming by William Butler Yeats on Friday because I was trying to figure out where one of its lines came from, and first of all holy shit I did not realize how much it is to 20th-21th century literature and pop culture as Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen is to ao3. All those are from the same poem? Second of all, it's very good (much like Ok Computer by Radiohead is very good, one could say 🙂). I ended up looking up a list of ultra-famous poems, because I realized that not having taken any lit classes beyond high school means there are many ultra-famous poems that I haven't ever come across. I'm resisting the urge to say something defensive, because not knowing certain poems when you could have Taken The Initiative And Looked Them Up Whenever is something people get so wildly mean about, like hiking, but I didn't and who cares. And now I have! (Did you guys know The Waste Land by T.S. Eliot is also very good?!)
Last song listened to: Silence by Lizz Wright, best known round this blog for being the artist I discovered by getting her 2008 album The Orchard buying thrift store CDs last summer, which I then listened to for months because. I mean. When I went to get that link I paused writing this for two minutes to relisten to the first half of the first track because 😭😭❗❗, 10/10 Ok Computers by Radiohead, source: dude trust me. Also previously seen round this blog for Goodbye on (ironically) the Astrid-Caleb reunion, race you to the top section of my Astrid fanmix ("so you take the high road/and I'll take the low" indeed).
Silence is also from her first 2003 album, and I cagily didn't link it first because I feel like it's a little less overtly knock your socks off, but it too is !! (I feel like it really kicks off at the end of the second verse with the vocals and instrumentals on "that silence is a song.")

“Queenie”
Unumbered Servant - クイーンアリ
“Terra? Destroy.”
Good Point - Understanding
Bad Point - No-nonsense
Like - Jewelry
Dislike - Stardroids
4’1” (124.46 cm)
Antares controlled a great many minions from her fortress temple, but before being merged with it by the Creators, the massive structure’s functions had to be run by an additional AI. When the temple became Antares’ prison and tomb, that AI became the prison warden.
After the Creators’ destruction, the AI and Antares came to a mutual agreement and understanding, and now control and maintain the temple together in tandem. What appears to be Antares controlling the movement and traps of the temple via will alone, it is Antares relaying intent to the AI, and the AI executing that intent with great accuracy.
The AI itself doesn’t have much of a personality, and doesn’t even really have a true central body, being dispersed throughout the temple (with three central 'nodes' that act as backups; the triplicate 'emblem' on them also indicates which nodes may have gone offline at any given time), but it will often use the form of a “Soldari” ant minion to communicate with other robots, which is usually done in simple, one-word ‘sentences.’ At any other time, it communicates in an esoteric dialect of the Old Language unique to Antares' original territories, so antiquated that even the Stardroids have difficulty understanding it.
While the AI can technically assume control of any Soldari at any time (which changes the possessed Soldari’s armor gold and emblazons the AI's emblem on their back), it will occasionally build itself its own unique Soldari body, slightly larger than the rest, with fanciful embellishments on top of the golden plating.
The different Soldari have different functions:
Silver Soldari have humanoid hands and a passive nature, relegated entirely to menial labor and engineering tasks. They will ignore intruders or even cower, and killing them is a good source of health and/or energy capsules; however, killing too many has negative consequences.
Green Soldari have a shield and cannon, and act very much like Sniper Joes on Earth.
Black Soldari are the most aggressive, with stinger spines in place of hands. If they have yellow detailing, the stingers discharge electricity; if they have red detailing, the stingers superheat.
Red Soldari are rare and have interchangeable hands, along with being 5x-8x hardier. They are essentially the Elite. While rare under most normal circumstances, an intruder killing too many Silver Soldari in quick succession will cause anywhere from 3 to 5 of these to drop in on the spot.
The AI’s Golden Soldari abilities mirror that of the red variant, with fully interchangeable hands, but will often be found using the standard manipulators of the silver type. That said, its power level eclipses all of them, putting it at around the power of a Robot Master.
While it doesn’t have a name, third parties (such as Proxima) will refer to it with cute monikers, the most common being “Queenie” due to its appearance as an ant queen.
