Conversation
Rebecca: You're not getting that I'm upset with you!
Baloo: Oh, no, I got that right away.
Rebecca: Do you know why I'm upset?
Baloo: Yes, Me. Either something I've done or haven't done or did do but didn't do like you wanted me to do.

Finalized the designs for a DT17-verse, aged-up Baloo, Rebecca, Shere Khan, and Bagheera. I tried really hard to get them looking as faithful to the show as possible (save for Baloo’s nose color and eye shape)
They’re in their late 50′s/early 60′s here. Khan and Baggy are aging a little more gracefully n.n
I still have to get Wildcat done, so he’s next!

Some drawings I did of Baloo in drag following some visual development I did for Swindle in which I re-imagined some of the outfits he wore throughout Talespin (under the cut). What better time to post them than June?
Said visual development:

Have some aged-up designs for the adult characters in Talespin that we didn’t get to see in Ducktales! (and Bagheera because none of my followers should be surprised by this at this point) They’re late 50′s/early 60′s here.
I’m personally still working out how the Talespin universe/storyline would work out in the DT17-verse, but I’m pretty happy with these designs as they are!

would baloo like della? Also are baloo and Becky married?
Talking about my personal headcanons and AUs, I like to think Baloo and Becky are married, yes.
And yes for the first question too, I believe Baloo would like Della. They have the same love for planes and flying that they share with Kit, after all. I think Baloo would admire the great and responsible pilot Della is, and like her energy. He’d definitly think she’s a good match to his boy.
If you didn’t want any mentions to Delkit, I’m sorry, since this is my blog’s theme, I have to assume people don’t mind.

I actually do really love the fact that Talespin's timeline was so carefully looked after to keep it from being too transparent.
Like I will always stand by the fact that the series has a very subtle sense of progression (namely in the way that Baloo and Becky relate to one another) but at the same time, everything was planned in such a way to keep the series episodic. All major status quo changes are right at the beginning of the series so the rest can just function in a more-or-less timeless state. And the fact that Jymn Magon himself said that Becky and Baloo were meant to be interpreted romantically (or rather, they were purposefully written with romantic tension) but would never get together during the actual events of the show because it would create a "pre-romance" and "post-romance" divide in the series, just proves how much they cared about maintaining the show's identity (it also manages to give us one of the most gay-coded m/f couple I can think of in their attempts to keep things from going "too far" lmao, you'd know what I meant if you saw it, it's hilarious).
I love, love, love shows that dedicate themselves to being very quality in their episodic nature. A lot of shows fail to do episodic formats well, and I'm glad there are examples like this out there.
