First Hardware-Synth Setup

my current released projects featured only DAW instruments and no form of external hardware midi/synth. As someone who loves synth music, it only seems right to get my own beginner synth and create my very small bedroom studio setup!

here is a little demo that i created quickly using my synth (Drums are within Logic Pro, this is more focused towards the bass line and lead synths)

below i will show how i recorded that very synth audio in the demo track!

starting with the MicroFreak synth (by Arturia), i picked this synthesiser after doing my research with online blogs and videos rating different synths. The MicroFreak best suits me as it was cheap (for a synth, at least), had large variety in digital oscillators and was light and portable.

Here I have an audio interface (more specifically the Scarlett Focusrite Solo), this takes the raw audio from the synthesiser and converts it into a signal my DAW on iPad can process - live. The moniter section means I can hear live feedback from both my DAW recording and the MicroFreak.

Inside logic, the marked tracks (Red * symbols) are the audio tracks, the blue bars are the audio i have recorded all from the MicroFreak. Drums were recorded using a beat sequencer inside logic. Some quick mastering and FX, i created my first synth demo.
