Hey Lovelies. Been a lot of excitement today, certainly a lot going on! Rhys' birthday week, actual footage of something in Lochness, podcasts, billboards and movies, oh my! I know some of us are struggling a bit with some personal stuff, it's a hard time out there. It hits harder too when you get all this fun dopamine from the internet, then you turn around and look back at normal life and things are tough. Remember to be kind to yourself lovelies. Things aren't always going to go the way you plan or want. It's okay if you can't get out of bed today. It's okay if you scroll on your phone and get your dopamine from goofy ass pictures of celebrities. It's okay if you get up and you brush your teeth, but just can't make your breakfast. Eat something simple. Drink some water, lay down for a while. Little things build to big things. If you can't do laundry today because you don't have the spoons/motivation, then don't do laundry today. Just remember to change your underwear if you have some clean ones cause you don't wanna get a UTI. If all you can do today is exist, you're doing great. You're doing better than great, you're fantastic. Tomorrow you can do a little bit more, or a little less, depending on what you need. Just be kind to yourself and give yourself grace; the world is hard enough as it is, you don't need to beat yourself up for struggling with very real issues. Thank you all for making the past few weeks tolerable, I appreciate that so much. It's keeping my brain chemistry in a spot that's healthier than is used to be. I hope you all know just how wonderful you truly are, and that me and the rest of the crew are rooting for you every day. We're here, we love you <3 Stay well.

BL/QL Ask game : The Ugly, the Bad and the Worst

Alright, I was tagged in this game by @clara-maybe-ontheroad, so it's time to make some enemies.

Worst soundtrack / weirdest song choice in a BL

I don’t really pay the most attention to this, I can’t recall anything that sticks out to me as particularly egregious even if it may be a tad odd. Weirdest song choice though is Jojo and Ninew letting First sing in Only Friends. I love the boy but we all have our flaws and his is being horrifically out of tune.

Most cringe-inducing line (cute)

“Then I am gay too,” Bee from Between Us. A show that I did actually enjoy despite many people grumbling. I hold that it’s cause I didn’t wait three years for it, and didn’t know Until We Meet Again existed when I started watching it. But regardless, Bee and Prince had like 5 minutes of screen time, max and they won my motherfucking heart.

Most cringe-inducing line (actually bad)

Not a specific line, but literally any time that Nuea questions whether or not Hia Lian loves him in Cutie Pie 2 You. Bestie, you already agonized over that for far, far too long in Cutie Pie, by the time you ran out of the marriage proposal at your father in law’s birthday, I was already way past over the bullshit. And now you want to get back on the bullshit when you are planning your wedding? Come on…

Most stupid decision made by a character

I agree with @bengiyo, Teh giving up his spot in school for Oh. Honestly, you know what, looking even further back the stupidest decision was Oh and Teh’s friends coming up to Teh AT FOUR O’CLOCK IN THE MORNING THE DAY HE WAS GOING TO GO COMMIT TO COLLEGE TO TELL HIM OH WAS GIVING UP. Y’all couldn’t have fucking waited like…one day? You know Teh is stupid motherfucker prone to grand gestures.

Worst plot line

“I’m going to kill your mother from third hand cigarette smoke and spend the last hour and a half of a genuinely otherwise beautifully crafted show making the world’s longest anti-smoking campaign” by New Siwaj in My Only 12%. What a way to ruin a show at the very last minute.

The most problematic show you've watched

Fish Upon the Sky, what in the racism, support of stalking, invasion of privacy, manipulation was that show?

A show people love but you find bad

Enchante. I just hate Theo so goddamn much.

A show people find bad but you will defend

Also gonna agree with @bengiyo here and say Wedding Plan, I have seen so little conversation around that show since it aired and it was super adorable and very very outside of MAME’s typical taboos. Just fluff, lesbianism, and lavender marriages abound. But if you think La Pluie is bad, then I will fight you to an early grave.

A show that is just objectively bad but you enjoyed it

I wouldn’t say it is my favorite, but I didn’t mind Vice Versa, but maybe that’s cause I was paying attention to trying to predict the next episode’s colors and not to the plot?

A bad show that you kept watching because you were intrigued/fascinated

Mine is the same as @waitmyturtles. It’s currently still airing, so it’s entirely possible I drop it, but, Dangerous Romance, I am so mad at how quickly it is brushing past interesting topics, but I am still watching it because I am curious where they intend to go with it. I don’t think they can salvage it, but I need to know what it is they want to say that made them think handling this show the way they are is better than exploring literally any of the class questions presented in the first couple episodes.

A bad show that you kept watching because you were horny

I don’t really watch shows because I am horny, I watch shows because- Why R U? FighterTutor, only reason I watched that show, I skipped through most of the rest of it.

A bad show that you kept watching because of that one character

Why R U? Because Fighter was such a compelling character and I thought Zee did a phenomenal job in the way he handled Fighter’s internalized homophobia. I wish they were giving Zee more complicated roles than Hia Lian because he’s a strong actor and I think his talent is wasted on Cutie Pie.

A bad show that you would still recommend

I don’t really recommend shows that I think are bad to people, so it is a case by case basis. I did not end up liking A Boss and a Babe, but I did recommend @emotionallychargedtowel watch at least some of it so she could get a better idea of Book’s acting ability.

The character that ruined a show the most

Nadia, My Ride. She’s such a self-entitled, incredibly judgemental bitch and I hate her, runner up is Toy for destroying Boss’ bookshelf.

Most awful character that you hated

Tawan, KinnPorsche. I hate him, I hate him, I hate him, I hate him. I was glad when he died, and I must commend Na for his performance because he did such a good job playing an asshole that I still hate his face when I see it.

Most awful character that you loved

Korn from KinnPorsche, I am obsessed with how casually evil he is, and how he keeps his loyalty through faked compassion rather than abusive fear the way Gun does. He’s consistently winning, even when his lies are revealed. I think he does a superb job of flying under the radar as a visibly awful character. But he’s a terrible person.

A character that wasn't awful but that you just don't like

Saifah, Why R U? It’s not his fault, but I just hate Jimmy’s face.

A hero that should have been a villain

Palm, Never Let Me Go, I had too many theories about the ways in which Palm could have betrayed Nuengdiao. Hell, I’d have settled for Chanon being a villain, but no, only loyalty :(

A morally bad character you're into

A morally bad character you're not into and you wish people would stop being into

Theo, Enchante, I hate that motherfucker with a burning passion. I know that I said I think Book should be able to play more assholes cause he’s doing a great job with Mew’s revenge era, but Theo was a goddamn fucking major asshole who was not really presented as such.

The show that disappointed you the most

Again, it’s not done yet, so there is still time to maybe climb out of this hole, but I am very disappointed by Dangerous Romance at the moment.

The Worst Show of Them All Because of Your Own Reasons

Enchante because how the fuck do you think it is okay to write a romance where one of the romantic interests both creates the most fucked up, convoluted lie to mess with your feelings, AND is so goddamn helpless that you GET FIRED FROM YOUR JOB FOR HELPING HIM, and not have either of those things be a wake up call or deal breaker?!

Yeah, it almost seems as if some people nowadays are not here for CR as a whole (cast, characters, projects etc.) but only for their faves, everything else will be hated on or ignored. Or am I imagining things?

I suspect it's always been the case that some people have taken this approach, and again, a four-hour-per-week episode is not exactly a light commitment even if that is the only thing you watch, but yeah. I made a post a while back about how specifically it feels like Marisha used to have a particularly passionate fanbase, and now people are really only interested in Laudna and have no interest in watching her running a one-shot or playing Bee Monroe in Candela Obscura (or anything she has to say about creative direction). And similarly, there were, at least in Campaign 2, people who took the "only my favorite character is important" approach but most of those people didn't make it to Campaign 3 as a result (because their favorite character is not there) and it definitely feels like C3 especially has a large cohort that's really only here for like, one or two characters.

Juanaflippa is the dungeon master who does shit just to piss off her players. Yeah theres no shortcut, if you huys try you get stung by a bunch of bees and take 2 poison damage. Yeah.. it says for an hour. Too bad. Go the long route. This howver doesnt mean that her players dont piss her off too. Which brings us too!!

Results for round 1 are in!

First, a minute of silence for The Congress, Home on the range, Waltz with Bashir, and The Fabulous Baron Munchausen, who got obliterated. I'm sorry, I wanted to give all movies a chance, but I can't foresee everything. To make up for it I'll go watch this week the ones I haven't watched🫡

Also, for the movies who almost made it: Revolutionary Girl Utena: The Adolescence of Utena, The Aristocats, All Dogs go to Heaven, Night on the Galactic Railroad, Shaun the Sheep Movie and Felidae. They were so close!

And we have a tie! This means, both The Phantom Tollbooth and Krabat The Sorcerer's Apprentice will advance to next round. There will be a three option match.

Special mention deserves the intense campaign in favor of Captain Underpants, who managed to get the lead two days before closing time. You guys made a lot of noise! However, in the shadows silently, a much bigger war was brewing: Barbie Princess and the Pauper vs Adolescence of Utena. It was by far the poll with the most votes, and despite Utena having the lead most of the time, Barbie managed to win by a hair literally last minute.

Finally, a big thank you to everyone who voted for Tintin/against Bee movie. That was close 😅

My condolences to all the movies who didn't make it to round 2, BUT their journey isn't over yet, so keep an eye on future news.

Tomorrow we start round 2, and we start with the Big Guns. The choices will be HARD so please don't attack your poor poll maker🙏

In lieu of a making a comeback

Went through my drafts folder today, scrolling quickly past all the posts I’ve saved for when I’ve finally finished succession and found that the last time I drafted a commonplace book post was back in early May? I may post that one later—it’s a bit of a time capsule now, and isn’t even fully finished (hence why I saved it rather than posting). but rather than wait for perfection—my lesson of the year it seems—I’ll dash off a short one here. for my own entertainment, which of course is the point.

Reading just started victoria goddard’s bee sting cake, the second book in the greenwing & dart series. jemis’ narrative voice sounds a little too much like fitzroy’s — exacerbating my prejudice against first-person narration where the pov character just kinda sounds like the author’s mouthpiece—but seeing more of ragnor bella, this area of the twelve kingdoms, these references to the Interim and the Last Emperor, remains delightful. Also about 80% of the way through ursula k. le guin’s a wizard of earthsea for the very first time, which has been a slow because I’m absolutely savoring it. one of those books that feels like it’s in conversation with Tolkien but goes about ‘let’s make magic literary’ in a totally different way.

watching the aforementioned succession. @hematiterings and I were doing a rewatch (for me; her first time) and we have now gotten up to season 4 episode 3, You Know the One, which means that there’s only one more episode before I’m in new territory. it’s been a really rewarding rewatch, even as I’ve been doing laptop work the whole time—I’m understanding characters’ relationships and the stakes of different decisions and events so much better than I did the first time.

listening for some reason this week and last I have not been able to get enough of Hildegard von Blingen’s bardcore covers. Specifically the cover of taylor swift’s willow, which is not a song I knew, cared about, or really even noticed before now? But it the bardcore cover elevates it so well? hildegard’s voice is so lovely? one of those sopranos I usually don’t quite believe are real—just a pleasure to listen to. bad romance and holding out for a hero have been on repeat as well, and pumped up kicks (buskin boots!) is so much more interesting than the original, but willow has been the one I actively searched by name.

playing d+d campaign one tonight for the first time since FEBRUARY. it was good! we laughed! R tried to seduce a jaguar! we might be starting a schism in a fantasy meso-american religion or possibly playing the ball game to avoid that! we won’t be able to play again until late July, early august! The real boss fight is—has always been—scheduling.

making look at this dining room chair I glued back together.

No after pictures yet but it was clamped for a few days and has now been back in use with no ill effects since…gosh, last weekend? so we’ll count that as a win.

working on between finishing my most recent slog of grading (32 review assignments, which I spent waaaaaay too long on out of an anxiety of needin to help them revise for their final portfolios) and the next round of grading (final exams for 385 are due…thursday, possibly? and portfolios Friday, though I expect I get many either late or with extension requests, my fault entirely), I think I have to write at least one job app for June 30 and. maybe try to slap some new stuff into ch 2. or conference paper? hm.

So... There's apparently an Over The Garden Wall Dungeons and Dragons campaign now!??

So I just found out there's a Dungeons and Dragons campaign based on Over the Garden Wall.

It's not called Over the Garden Wall but that's what it is. The way "I, Strahd" is Dracula and "Adam's Wrath" is Frankenstein's Creature, Crooked Moon is Over the Garden Wall.

There was a Kickstarter campaign for it in October but I only saw the sponsored ad for it for the first time on Facebook late this afternoon.

Even the introduction is just the intro for Over the Garden Wall reworded. A promo video for it had this as the voice-over description. "Somewhere lost in the shrouded realms of death lies a realm of endless night where long forgotten horrors are revealed to those who travel through the mist." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uEj1WrSHao

Sound familiar? Well, here's the first narration from Over the Garden Wall. "Somewhere, Lost in the clouded annals of history, Lies a place called The Unknown. Where long forgotten stories are revealed to those who travel through the wood."

___________________ It's not even subtle. It also has the maypole with the Jack-o-lantern head like the one in episode 2 of Over the Garden Wall, Hard Times at the Huskin' Bee. The concept art features a werewolf-like beast similar to the transformed dog from the first episode of Over The Garden Wall. It even has the same, old, black steam engine train like the one that was such an important plot device in Over the Garden Wall. The antagonist is even referred to as The Beast and has horns or antlers. And seems to (again) be a cross between The Erlking and a Windigo.

It's so blatantly an Over the Garden Wall Dungeons and Dragons campaign that they even got The Blasting Company (who did the Over The Garden Wall soundtrack) to write the song "The Crooked Moon" used in the advertising. Pretty much the only difference is this realm is eternal night where The Unknown in Over the Garden Wall still had daytime. I'm not mad. Just very, very amused and intrigued. Am I the only one who noticed this is Dungeons and Dragons does Over the Garden Wall?!

Top 10 Hits of the 70s

I lived through the 70s, but didn't really start paying attention to pop/rock music until around 1982 or 1983. But for the last few years, a local Classic Rock station (which, distressingly, is starting to move into the 90s as "classic") has run Casey Kasem's American Top 40: The 70s on Sunday mornings. I can usually manage to catch the top ten, or at least the top five (hey, I sleep late on Sundays). There's almost always stuff that's fairly new to me, even in the top spots, which gives me an interesting view on the staying power of popular music.

Roughly speaking, Top 10 hits of the 70s can be chunked into four tiers, although where any particular song ends up is somewhat dependent on your own experiences.

Tier 1: This is the stuff you could play for a room of high school or college students and a lot of them would recognize it. Whether it's been used in a soundtrack, an ad campaign, or a viral video, these are the songs that have managed to stick around in the public consciousness for fifty years for good or for ill. Not always number one hits, though, sometimes they were just rediscovered later and finally found an audience, or they were "sold a million copies but took a while to do it so never hit number 1" deals.

Tier 2: There's still a good chance of hearing these songs even today, but now you have to go looking in places catering to Gen X and Boomers. They show up on Classic Rock and Easy Listening stations (the Billboard charts had a lot of ballads and dreamy instrumentals in the 70s), or as backing for ads you'll only see during Old People Shows. They might even pop up in store muzak once in a while, or get covered by more recent acts. (For an example of that, a fairly recent cover of "I Got You Babe" has been on college radio of late.)

Tier 3: Here's where it gets a lot more subjective. These are songs that were popular enough in the 70s that someone not actually paying attention to pop music would still have heard them. Pop cultural splashes beyond just the Billboard charts. A lot of these are from Christmas Albums (it seemed everyone was doing them in the 70s)...even if I hadn't been listening to country music in the 70s, I'd have heard the John Denver Muppet Christmas songs, for instance. This tier also includes things that were tier 1 for a while but have faded since and might as well not exist in pop culture today. Number one hits like this made a splash, but the ripples faded fairly quickly.

A lot of these were by acts that jumped on a trend and only had one or two hits before the trend faded and they went back to playing county fairs for a living or the equivalent. But some were just lesser pieces by super-popular groups. For instance, the Bee Gees are remembered enough that Saturday Night Live did a sketch around the group in 2024, and some of their hits are definitely Tier 1 (like Stayin' Alive). But they also had a lot of stuff that had no real staying power, but which hit the top ten purely because people were buying everything they released. A similar modern result would be the case of Taylor Swift capturing the entire top ten recently...I rather doubt all ten songs on that album will be remembered by any but the most diehard fan in 20 years, and if there are any that stick around they might not even be the ones in the top five.

Tier 4: "I have never heard this song before in my life," sort of reaction. Or, if I have, it was only in the context of AT40 reruns or historical music shows like I used to watch on VH1. Things like the spoken-word "The Americans" single, or "I Like Dreamin'" (which was number five on this day in 1977, and I can't recall having ever heard before).

I actually like that Tier 4 songs exist. Not only do I get to occasionally hear new-to-me music that is similar to things I already like, but it also means that our culture of "don't innovate, remake" in mass media hasn't mined out EVERYTHING. There are things that used to be popular and are not being shoved back in our face by aging entertainment executives terrified of being the one to try something new.

The Story of Morgan

So our Skyfarer campaign was supposed to be a oneshot put on by the extremely generous @nicholas-the-paleomancer, but we loved it so much we decided to keep playing (and it didn't seem like the pandemic was going to end anytime soon).

We broke it up into seasons. Midway through Season 1, the DM asked all the PCs a very innocuous question: "Did your character have anyone they were particularly attached to growing up?" and I was like- "Hm. I suppose... a friend? sister? Idk, kinda estranged because Arthur keeps her busy. Maybe kind of weird too?" and the DM went SURE THING. I KNOW WHAT'S UP WITH HER.

In the moment, I kinda nodded- yeah, cool beans; we're definitely going to have some sort of flashback next session. cool, cool cool- Wait. Westlie's definitely crushed about having a sister she left behind, isn't she? Oh she definitely is- Oh god, Arthur is such a dick, what happened? What does her sister even look like?

Which IMMEDIATELY AND VIOLENTLY kicked off a stream of not-yet-named Morgan and Westlie brainrot. We had the episode, which was a completely normal episode with a small flashback, instigated by the Storm-that-Speaks. Then we continued playing and finishing Season 1.

In the meantime, I slid rapidly downhill as I panicked about Westlie becoming captain, her new sister Morgan, (getting chased by the Glorious was, funny enough, not at all something Westlie or I worried about?). I wrote a whole bunch about Westlie's backstory, Morgan's backstory, them together, Arthur trying to pry them apart, and then Season 2 started.

Season 2 opened with Westlie getting a letter from Arthur that said, "Morgan ran away. You should probably find her. Also bring her back because I need someone to be my heir now, btw fuck you."

I dissolved.

In game, New Winchester was in the middle of a siege and we were hired by a Revolutionary party to carry information there. (We as a party had accidentally kicked off a second war with the Reach in Season 1), and we hoped that news about Morgan would be there too.

That was the longest fucking seven sessions in my entire goddamn life and the most deranged Westlie I have ever had the pleasure of being.

I had nightmares about them. Westlie and I were convinced that Morgan was all right (because she was always all right) but haunted by the thought she might not be. And even when we finally reached Leadbeater, IT TOOK TWO SESSIONS TO GO IN THE FUCKING JUNGLE. I SWEAR TO GOD @nicholas-the-paleomancer.

At one point I texted the DM past midnight sniffling, begging him not to plan to kill Morgan off, or at least make it feasible to rescue her because I couldn't stand the thought of them never reunited.

In the meantime, as I was dissociating watching my mental stability plummet from the pandemic and a bad living situation, I started wondering why the fuck I was so worried about it. And... that was a can of trauma worms I absolutely did not expect to uncover.

So we found Morgan. She was not okay, but I rolled like garbage on all the conversations that mattered, so Westlie was oblivious to the signs until Chorister bees with Morgan riding one, attacked the Pyrrhus. Then the rest of Season 2 was a deep depression and feral resolution to get things back to normal until we succeeded. xD

But the brain rot did not go away.

Alora is Alex Ander, the singular braincell of the group and The Best Mom Friend

devil is Damien Shadow, the main source of angst and problems in the group (love u man)

without further ado, here is part 3 of Dungeons and Teenagers!

The arena is huge, the biggest building in the whole village. It is filled with gladiators slaughtering each other, all to win the hand of the finest maiden in the land.

the party begin their way into the arena, when they notice a group of gladiators walking in. They are discussing what they would do if they win the woman as their bride. Most say they would add her to their collection of wives, other say they would just use her to cook them meals.

Maisie, seeing the kind of people trying to steal its mother, scream out on rage

the gladiators mock Maisie, saying that there’s nothing it can do to stop them

enter goose

who, once again to my god damned dismay, rolls a natural 20 on intimidation (I promise they roll more than crit fails and nat 20’s)

the gladiators lean down to mock the animal they see in-front of them, but instead they see their past

their sins reveal themselves to the gladiators like a lion reveals itself to its prey

They are terrified, many run away

the one foolish one who doesn’t?

He is straight uppercutted by Maisie

enter the teenagers into the arena

down in the pit they can see Calluna in her cage. She is dressed in a tattered wedding gown, looking like she’s been in there for days. 2 female gladiators are standing over the dead bodies of former gladiators.

“they’re going to battle over her. They need 2 more kills before she reaches the ground, then she’s theirs,” Jim explains.

Thomas, in Thomas fashion, begins to cry

Jim reacts to that by slapping him

Thomas cries harder, but the party is shocked. Jim, however, is stone faced. Thomas tried to face Jim, but he replies by punching him square in the jaw

Thomas stops crying

He sees not a man infront of him, but someone who dragged him out of his home with no explanation. A man who punched him in the face for no reason. An enemy, not a friend

Thomas sucker punch’s Jim in the nose, breaking it

Jim does not react at all

Thomas is furious. He leaps into the arena, taking Alex who, by happenstance was holding his hand, into the arena with him

dear readers, you may be asking “here’s Damien? He loves violence, he should be enjoying this”

well, Damien, being a rouge, scampered off into the crowd of people watching the fight. He wandered through the crowd before someone called out to him.

“Zach?” He asked

Damien was filled with rage

Zach was his farher

“oh crap, your not zach! Sorry kid, thought you were my ex” said a Human Barbarian. He was tall, brown hair and red chain mail armor. He sat eating an unflavored ice pop, just ice on a stick

“how do you know my father?” Damien had asked

the man replied by grimacing, “let’s just say we knew eachother v e r y Well.”

“I don’t understand?”

somehow, deep inside him, Thomas began to know something. Something about the birds in the bees that his mother never told him. Something that is as old as time.

“HE BANGED YOUR DAD, DUDE!” Thomas called from the pit. The barbarian blushed and finished his ice pop quickly.

“yeah, sorry kid.”

“Wait,” Damien started, “where is my dad now?”

the man smiled at him, a soft smile. “He’s at his new partners house, The Devils Lair. Just go straight down the road out back and make a left at the 100yard mark.”

Damien was left there, not surprised by this information. Of course his dad had a thing with the devil, they didn’t call it the Devils Tango for nothing

down in the pit, a terrified Alex and a pissed off Thomas stood. They faced the two gladiators

Thomas took no time. He charged straight toward the gladiator. With no time to react, the gladiator was slammed backwards by the pure rage of teenage hormones and angst. She slammed her hair against the wall, and the cage got lowered just one more

now it was Alex’s turn. Alex had never fought someone before, ESPECIALLY not a trained gladiator.

the gladiator charged at him, ax in hand. Alex had no time to react. He was frozen in fear.

wait

he wasn’t just frozen in fear

alex was FROZEN in ICE

The cursed armor had given him the power to control and become ice

as a reflex, alex reached up and punched the gladiator in the head

with an Ice pick for a hand

the pick went straight through the gladiators head

and the cage was plopped onto the floor. Calluna was free

everyone jumped down into the pit to embrace Calluna in a huge hug. Calluna held them tightly, gasping that she missed them so much.

there stood Jim, alone

“Who’s he?” She quietly asked her child

“oh, that’s Jim,” replied Maisie. Calluna stopped breathing very quickly. Her teary eyes met Jim’s as he tried to hold his annoyed stature

he broke down

“oh my boy! You’ve gotten so big oh!” She held him close. Jim was no longer the tall, confident stature they saw just 5 minutes before

he was a kid, a kid who was left alone 14 years ago by a group of Adults trapped in this realm. He was left alone with no family or friends. Alone he was for 14 years

but she was back. One of the parents who cares for him while they were only there briefly.

Jim sobbed into her shoulder as they hugged.

they players walked out of the coliseum with a new found confidence. They had one parent and knew where the other one was-

“shit,” said Damien, “I forgot the directions.”

Jim fiddled with his fand’s anxiously. “Go inside and find the guy who told you. I’d like to talk to Calluna alone please”

the players, having seen his softer side, agreed. They left to go back into the coliseum

after a few minutes of searching, they finally found the man and asked him to repeat the directions (nothing really special)

on a they exited, there stood Jim.

and Jim alone he stood, once again

they players didn’t notice this

They began walking down the road toward their next destination. Jim was back to his cold, silently confident self

“mom, I- HEY!” Maisie screamed, “WHERES MY MOMMY????”

Jim stood there, trying not to break “uh, she’s somewhere.”

the party surrounded him and began screaming

“WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?”

“Did you kill her?”

“WHERE IS MY MOMMY?!”

Jim began to panic

“she’s somewhere, I can’t tell you!”

“DID YOU KILL HER?,!?”

“FOR GODS SAKE SHES NOT DEAD!”

Jim screamed. He releases a blood curdling scream, the scream of someone in dire pain

the party looked down at his arm

it had completely flipped inside out
