had a dream in which fitzjames was my adult son and he was dying so we were in an ambulance and the paramedics were crozier hickey and jopson and crozier kept committing worse and worse medical malpractices and the worst part was that the other three just got hornier and hornier about it until i asked them to just let me off and the rest of the dream was just me walking around my hometown listening to the distant siren.

I was able to crank out a idea, I kinda had an idea of the twins have outfits based on their pokemon. I uh messed up with the background with it being mostly... yellow i chose the color and it was too late to realize that it didn't look that good but it turned out ok.
Tumblr media
I have way too much purple so it was good I used it. Found that I can just erase old sketches that I never and will never finish I can use for new drawings... I'm a little tired so my wording is weird.

Headcanons for how Sun and Moon passively show that they're in love with you:
Sun
Sun would hover around you all time. He already does this with most things, but instead of it being anxiety fueled, with you, it seems to be for the exact opposite reason. Like being around you is like being in the presence of the real sun, and he just wants to bask in it.
He'd touch you innocently whenever he can find an opportunity to do so. Every day you come in for your Daycare shift he gives you a big long hug without fail. If you're helping him clean up at the end of the day his hands will brush yours at least a dozen times. If you need to get something from a supply closet he'll insist on holding your hand as the two of you walk to it no matter how short the distance is.
He compliments you more. He loves how nice you are with the children and how kindly you handle them even when they're at their worst. He loves your smile, your laugh, and the color of your eyes, and he'll randomly mention how much he loves any one of these out loud without realizing it. To the point that you wonder how much time he spends thinking about you.
He'll unintentionally get frustrated with other staff in the Daycare when they don't handle or do things the way you do. Because the way you do things is always the best in his eyes, and he doesn't understand why other staff don't see it that way.
He'll get very invested in your hobbies, whether it be an old one you've loved for years or a new one you just picked up. Sun loves asking you about all aspects of your interests and loves hearing you excitedly talk and explain them even more. He'd happily listen for hours if he could, though work usually gets in the way at some point.
His little rays will spin in circles when you call him any sort of nickname. "Sunny" and "Sunshine" are his favorites, but he even loves more simple ones like "dear" and "honey". He'll happily swoon and giggle whenever you say those.
If any of the kids ever suggest playing house, Sun immediately volunteers to be dad and asks you to be mom. It makes sense for the kids, since you and Sun are the adults here, but Sun enjoys getting to pretend that you're husband and wife for a bit, and the children are your adopted kids. It makes him really happy.
Moon
Moon's examples of showing affection would be much subtler and the epitome of a slow burn. He's the type that would go from never speaking to you to politely greeting you every time the lights go out, and that alone would be a huge step. He's never super chatty, which makes the steadily increasing length of conversations you have with him much more meaningful.
Moon would hover around you like Sun, but his way is more distant; more vigilant. He'd follow you through the ceiling rafters and vents when you walk from the Daycare to the exit of the Pizza Plex, then sit in a window and watch you drive away just to make sure you got out safely every night.
He'd passively slip Moondrop candies into your pocket on days you mention not sleeping well that night, just sobyou can find and use them later. He'd also be the first to notice any injuries you have no matter how minor. Accidently twist your ankle in the parking lot on your way in to work? He'll notice your slight limp immediately, no matter how well you think you're hiding it. He'll probably still tease you for it, but only once he's sure you're okay.
Moon will turn his red LEDs off when speaking to you and only you. Something you don't really even register as being significant until other staff, that have worked at the Plex for years longer than you, send shocked emails asking you what you did and telling you they didn't even know Moon could turn those off.
He also loves how good you are with the children, especially when he's out. Moon often feels he wasn't programmed right because being in charge of naptime never felt like it meshed well with his red eyes, raspy voice, and imposing look. He's almost hypnotized by how easily you soothe the children by speaking to them softly, reading them short stories, or singing their favorite melody to them. He feels just as relaxed and secure as the kids do during naptimes when you're working. It's almost like he's powered off with how relaxed and quiet he gets.
While the kids are napping, Moon sits a few feet away from you, just watching the children and making sure they all have what they need. When you first meet, he'll just sit there, not saying a word until naptime is over. But as you gain his trust, Moon will progressively shift closer and closer to you until he's sitting right beside you. If you've had a long day and doze off to sleep next to him. You'll awake from your nap sitting on his lap, being gently rocked and hummed a deep lullaby.
Moon takes the time to check in on your physical and emotional health. At least twice a week asking you how you're feeling and if you need anything. If you have to stay home sick with a cold or flu, you can expect to be sent texts/emails by Moon checking on your recovery and offering advice on how to get better faster (mostly reminding you how important sleep is). The way he speaks is very pragmatic, but the detail and lengths he goes to make sure that you have all the knowledge you need to get better soon shows that he cares very much.
He loves it when you call him nicknames like "Moonlight", "Moonie" or "Moonpie", but he absolutely hates it when anyone else does it. To the point that he will outright disobey or threaten staff if they try it.
He'll let you touch his hat. Which is thr ultimate show of trust for Moon.

You've mentioned your dislike about the Bionicle timeline before. What's your take on it and what doesn't work about it for you? I'm curious to hear your interpretation.
The main issue is the fact that it's a ridiculously, laughably long time for people to stay alive. It takes me out of my immersion to remember that this whole storyline takes place over a period of time ten times greater than the existence of Jericho, but characters like Ackar and Kiina on Bara Magna and the majority of characters in the Matoran Universe have lived that whole time. I'm not opposed to immortal/long-lived characters as an idea, but the story needs to do something with that time scale.
For instance, in Tolkien's works, the ages of the Elven characters has weight in their characterization and relationships to the others. The Silmarillion highlights their horror and sadness as they realize their new human friends will age and die in what feels like no time at all to the Elves. In the Lord of the Rings, the lifespans of Elrond and Galadriel add extra gravity to their advice and foresight; they've lived longer than any of the main characters and know the threat of Sauron better than anyone. Their longevity makes them unique, provides diversity and contrast.
Meanwhile, everyone in BIONICLE ages the same way, so there isn't really a highlightable difference in how aging affects you. It's entirely subjective. Helryx and Artakha are all the same age as Takua, possibly even younger, but they're the ones noted for being ancient. I know Takua had several layers of amnesia, but his personality largely stayed consistent, so the fact that he was apparently an irascible scamp since creation makes him feel static. You're telling me he only underwent major personality changes in the last few years?
The ridiculously long timeline also makes the story feel static because it's frankly pretty sparse. Bara Magna has been a desert wasteland with a half-dozen tribes since the Shattering; the only major political shift occurred when the Skrall migrated to Roxtus less than two years before the '09 arc. The MU's timeline is more detailed, but the information we do have still suggests its development is relatively stagnant. The League of Six Kingdoms and the Matoran Civil War/Great Disruption happen back to back, but then the timeline's fairly empty for 75,000 years. All we have to go off of for the main markers is the Brotherhood consolidating power and Dume is active as a Toa. We don't get more detailed politics until the time of the Toa Mangai, and then things start happening with greater and greater intensity that feels natural.
All this to say: when you're making an expansive timeline, it helps to make it feel dense, especially the closer you get to the events of the story. Human history is intricately complicated, with even Dark Ages still providing us ample discussion through archaeology and the lack of written evidence. BIONICLE's timeline has great worldbuilding from a political and social development lens, but it's too stretched out. I'd say that cutting the timeline down to 10,000 years would solve a lot of the issues I discussed. Also reducing the ages of many of the characters, especially the ones on Bara Magna. It's hard to sell Gresh as young when he'd be old enough to remember when humans first started leaving Africa, you know?

Got my first meeting with a psychiatrist in over a year since the last one demanded details about trauma when I was visibly sweating and shaking! Let’s hope today goes much better and that I have the prefrontal cortex online enough to leave if necessary instead of tolerating that kind of thing again

Just posting some fancy 1920s characters I made to mess around with ☕✨
(aka things that happen when I read Wodehouse, Lackadaisy and binge Downton Abbey)
From left to right: Priya, Freddie, Matthew, Arthur & Marion
1928
Lord Dalham's son has succumbed to illness and the next heir to his title, his nephew Frederick Barlow, a solicitor, is to return to England after spending the last two years in India.
"Freddie", isn't quite the reserved, serious man that everyone remembered upon return; because they are in fact, Frederick's unruly twin that was travelling by his side to be engaged to an English officer.
After their brother's unexpected death, Freddie assumed his identity, recruiting the help of Frederick's former valet, one Matthew Halkett.
Through gentlemen's clubs, fancy country houses, speakeasies and gambling pits, dog shows and county fairs, Freddie discovers alarming and conflicting information regarding their twin, as well as people who seem to have curious ties to him.
Tumblr media
Freddie Barlow (28)
Despite being born in the upper classes and having the privileges that come with this, Freddie never quite found their calling in life, nor were they considered a particularly graceful aristocrat; not being the one for sports like tennis, or the arts, desperately failing at music and painting.
They would have liked to pursue acting, but that option was of course, off the table. They were supposed to be a socialite like their mother, and their acting skills were required to put on a mask and pull on strings. That seemed to keep everyone pleased until in an effort to protect their best friend from a predatory suitor, Freddie allowed scandal to soil their name and was sent to India to get married, accompanied by their twin, Frederick.
After Frederick's death in a railroad "accident", Freddie discovers a plot against their family, and assumes his identity upon arriving in England, after a 2-year absence. Their alter ego is assumed to still be in India and married to an English officer.
Freddie is constantly discovering alarming and conflicting information regarding their twin and bears guilt, doubt, and identity issues over their actions.
(Freddie is afab & non-binary/genderfluid by today's standards, all pronouns apply but in the context of the story, Freddie leans towards masculine terms)
Tumblr media
Matthew Halkett (30)
Matthew Halkett was Frederick's former valet, who was let go before the twins' trip to India.
Halkett grew up into poverty and was a thief and an underground boxer as a youth, before turning his life around in his teens. He dedicated his life to service, when his uncle, butler at Lord Dalham's big estate, helped him get into service as a footman. He soon found he has a particularly keen eye for detail, and a strong work ethic that made him shine amongst staff. He also served in the Great War before his employment at the Barlow household.
Upon receiving news of his potential title as heir to his uncle, Frederick required a valet, and when the two met at Lord Dalham's estate the offer was made.
As Frederick's valet Halkett knew most of the secrets of the household, including Freddie's. Due to an unjustly blamed incident of theft, Frederick fired him with no reference which left him in a rather unsatisfactory position, under the employment of an old bubbling arrogant Colonel.
His previous position also makes him a target of Frederick's enemies after his death. He is the first ally Freddie seeks out upon returning to England, and is offered, once again, the position of the valet on their side instead.
Tumblr media
Priya Curtis (21)
The youngest daughter of middle class merchants, Priya Curtis is an sweet and elegant young lady of British-Indian heritage who seems to have followed Freddie all the way on his trip back to England. Or more like, she seems to think she's following Frederick.
The reason? Why, revenge, of course.
If they get past that misunderstanding, Priya and Freddie might discover they are connected by something of a familial nature.
Tumblr media
Arthur Pennington (28)
Arthur Pennington is the son of an English earl & an American heiress, and Frederick's friend from their university days in Oxford. Despite his wealth, he also studied law but remains rather unworldly and naive due to a rather sheltered lifestyle. He makes up with his infectious energy, friendliness, and unending loyalty, and he's eager to recount old stories to Freddie, initially not realizing he's not talking to their twin.
Tumblr media
Marion Ellis (36)
A Renaissance lady; writer, poet, and predominantly a journalist, she spent many good years in Paris and Montmartre, where her fiancé, John, awaits her return. An extremely romantic soul with a love for the arts and a social butterfly, Marion is well aware of the ins and outs of high society and has written under a nickname for ladies' magazines. She is an acquaintance of Freddie's lord-uncle, and apparently, had some mysterious ties to Frederick.
