The brother and I put together some Beetlejuice and Lydia inspired outfits to see the show last night! I think we looked pretty good 😌

More rambling behind the cut

So it was our second time seeing the show (and tour) but first time seeing most of the current main cast! First time seeing Justin and Isabella (though Matthew and Jackera were absolutely wonderful, swings are so so skilled y'all), and several of the others have changed since it was in LA. But that made it extra exciting! Everyone really brings their own unique take on each character, particularly fun in a comedy.

It was also my first time seeing it live and actually being familiar with it, which is a whole different experience from the first time when I was going in mostly blind. Not to mention having ridiculously good seats for once, we were in the 5th row?! I don't know if I've ever even been in the orchestra for that theater, we're always up on one of the balcony levels. But figured if there's one show I'll splurge on, it's this.

I never do the stagedoor thing unless I know someone in the cast (and never at this theater), so I was a bit nervous but figured I'd regret it if I didn't at least check it out. Thankfully there were a couple small groups out there, and we even made some new friends! Not all the cast stopped by our direction, but I'm very grateful for those who did!

(And "Miss Argentina" complimented my jacket and said it looked just like one of theirs 🤩)

Hello👋

Here’s a cheeky lil update for those of you still on here. I had to take a long break from this Beetlejuice animatic because of work, but I’m back to chipping away at it. I’ve made a ton of progress since last update! All the Beetlejuices (for the most part) are all cleaned up. I’ve moved onto working on the incidentals and am working with @jaymamon to get these KILLER backgrounds you’re probably noticing! She’s been a dream to work with, and I’m so excited to see this all come together!
