This is an ask more directed @ the mod, But I just wanted to say I enjoy how your showing lots of trans characters <3 From people with a few pronouns, to showing top scars, it makes me overjoyed. I’ve been a bit shy to make trans hcs (even tho I’m Enby) in this fandom because I saw a lot of people on tik tok day how “unrealistic” it was, and tho I knew they were being mean I still took it to heart... I personally hc Antonio as transmasc and Eli as non-binary). Thank you op for ur lovely blog💕

I’ve never liked the the idea that characters needed a “reason” to be trans, and growing up with that idea pervading fandom spaces was so tiring. Now that I know I’m nonbinary and I’m making content, I am making characters trans with wild abandon! Which is to say, I really want to show that trans people can simply exist, casually, in all shapes and sizes, and be accepted by their community.

//I know how it feels to look at a wide audience of mostly-cis people having mostly-cis headcanons and feeling daunted — I was in that position for a really long time. But know this! Trans people have always and will always exist, in every historical context and culture. Just because society makes it harder for us to discover and celebrate our identities doesn’t mean they can stop all of us. Calling trans characters “unrealistic” only makes sense if you erase that history and view “cis” as the default.
