Hello everyone! I'm here with some sprites I've finished for my upcoming visual novel, Behind the Wall.

I wanted to get these two out earlier than I did, but my drawing monitor started freaking out a couple days ago and I only just figured out how to fix it today. Better late than never. :,)

These two are Katherine (left), Samsan's mother, and Carrie (right), Isabelle's mother. Their sprites also include other expressions and poses not pictured here. While I consider these "complete," I may add more in the future if needed for some lines. For now, though, I'm going to start working on Samsan and Isabelle's sprites - they'll definitely have a lot more than their mothers.

DP x DC: The Titans and the Phantom Cat

Danny doesn't do magic. He doesn't understand it or really know about it, and frankly he'd be more skeptical about it if it hadn't explicitly been used on him several times before. His parents are scientists and engineers, and they managed to accomplish what would typically fall under the realm of magic with nothing but recycled parts, wires and Fenton ingenuity.

So, when caught in a magic spell to bind him, he didn't know what would happen if he were to intentionally mess it up. Apparently, nothing good. Danny, free from the intended mind control, is now bound to the form of a cat with minimal use of his powers.

How could this get any worse?

Turns out, no one seems to understand what he's saying, they just hear meows. And without the use of his powers, he get's caught and finds himself in an animal shelter in Jump City.

When a group of young heroes comes through on a mission, and then proceed to mess things up, Danny can't help but throw out some snide commentary. Besides, it's not like they'll hear him

Welllllll... Turns out Raven and Beast Boy can tell what the hell he's saying. Of course the magic user and guy who can turn into animals can talk to him... Still it's nice to finally have someone to talk to, and also get him out of the cage while he's still trying to het a hold of what's left of his powers

Raven immediately clocks him as a powerful spirit bound to animal form. With a little persuasion, she ends up with a new familiar consultant and Danny the Cat gets to live in Titans Tower with them

Magic shenanigans happen, now Danny is basically Salem the Cat living with the Teen Titans and teaching them what he knows while mainly lounging around and sassing them. The actual usefulness of his advice may vary

Here's the first look at some animations I'm doing for my wlw visual novel, Behind the Wall. This is for the first act, when Samsan and Isabelle are speaking to each other through their backyard wall.

The blinking and mouth movement will be isolated and separately animated in-game. I'm likely going to make a few more variants for her blinking animation where she's looking elsewhere, but otherwise this is done.

Rearranged my wall!! All the precious art that I’m proud of all ends up hidden away in a sketchbook or folder so the art on my wall ends up being my more mediocre pieces lol so I categorized some more stuff as ‘mediocre’ and cut them out to display 😅 second pic is my ‘speed test grading’ method lmao in which I check 10 tests at the same time so I’m not biased when checking specific students tests 😌

I do have to start this by saying that I fucking despise that literary theory of "Oooooh WhAt iF QuInCey Is AcTuALly dRaCuLa'S sOn 👀👀👀👀" because not only it's not possible in the canon of the book, and it undermines all of the efforts put by our protagonists to end the bastard, but also I personally think it's only pushed by academics that are simply too deep in the (ugh) "Dracula is the only Alpha Male" juice along with being weirdly obsessed against Jonathan's whole character.

But what if, thanks to Jonathan's subtle supernatural changes and Mina's slow transformation, little Quincey Harker ends up being... A little liminal? Not enough to say supernatural, but just enough to go huh? And double check to see if you got confused.

Maybe Quincey's eyes shine a night when the room is completely dark. Sometimes Jonathan and Mina can't keep up with him when he runs despite being pretty young themselves. What if one day someone finds Quincey climbing a wall then falling after being discovered. He always knows where mom is, he is so good at hide and seek. Quincey tells Mina of a pretty lady walking around their home, and sitting on the sofa to simply see them, and her clothes are stained with blood. He sleeps like a rock, yet he immediatly wakes up at the slightest sound. Quincey has the little habit of climbing his dad's back with pure agility since he learned how to walk.

Just a little Quincey that is the king of games with his friends, but always receives double stares by some adults around him.
