But when Candace gives you the look of disapproval, you're almost certain that the dessert scorpions couldn't be as dangerous her. But they still take you to some of the shops in aaru village. Dehya makes day trips to shops in major cities around summery and even takes you to different oasises. You two always bring some things back for Candace. Candace refers to you as henna Bloom or sometimes as little bird, chiding at how you're always so eager to fly off.

gradually started to stay more in the shared apartment with you. sometimes klee—his adopted sister—would come to visit too.

would join you in playing games and you were kind of surprised to see his usual calm and composed nature turned into a really loud and chaotic one.

was a nice and comfortable person to be around. his calm composure soothed you when you were anxious, he was always there for you if you needed a shoulder to lay on.

BEIDOU:

she often had her friends in your shared apartment. you didn't dislike it though since they were all fun and easy-going.

when beidou first time came home intoxicated, you almost fainted when you tried to carry her since she was *cough* heavy *cough*, not only that, the brunette was fidgety which made you easily tired.

was attentive enough and could guess what was happening to you just by looking at your expression.

✧ she’s a big flirt herself, so whenever you make a charming comment, she’s making one right back. it can catch you off guard a lot of the time, especially in the beginning of your relationship.

✧ you saw beidou sitting with some papers in her hand, so naturally you approached her. it wasn’t often she sat and was seemingly doing nothing, so this was an opportunity. when you reached her and peeked over her shoulder, you saw beautiful photographs of landscapes from different areas on Teyvat.

✧ she noticed your presence and greeted you briefly, making a comment about how you’re nosy, and continue flipping through the pictures.

✧ she got to a close up of a dog— it was sitting and looking up at the camera, it’s tongue was out like it had been panting.

✧ on instinct, you told beidou that the dog was almost as cute as her. which wasn’t true— she was obviously way cuter than any dog, but you were being cheesy right now.

✧ you heard her chuckle and she turned her head to the side to look at you. she reached up and grabbed your jaw, placing a lingering kiss to your lips. it was unexpected and left your lips tingling. you felt blood rush to your cheeks, making them hot to the touch. she just laughed at you again and turned back to her photos.

✧ when you caught the smirk on her face, you closed the gap without thinking. your arms instinctively went up to her face. one hand was placed to her cheek, and the other grabbed her hand that was against yours.

✧ you knew you caught her off guard when she jolted a little at first. you bathed in your glory for a moment before you pulled away, reminding yourself that you’re in a public library.

✧ she looked a little shocked, her eyebrows a bit higher than normal and her eyes slightly wider. you smiled cheekily at her before she composed herself.

✧ you were met with a chuckle in response and felt her hand grab yours. she abruptly stopped and pulled you back towards her, playing a quick kiss to your lips.

If there was one thing you loved about Beidou, it was her motherly qualities. She always had this aura that made you feel like you could tell her anything. The two of you were practically parents to Kazuha.

You were sitting on one of the Crux’s towers, crying alone. In fact, it was sunset, the crew was currently having dinner downstairs.

“Hold on, where’s Y/N?” Beidou asked as she held bottles of wine for the crew. “I haven’t seen them all day.” One of the crew replied. Beidou grew slightly worried. Kazuha was really the only one who had a clue as to where you went, after all, he is a very observant young man.

“I believe they went to sit up on the tower.” Kazuha told his mother figure. Beidou thanked the younger male and went upstairs. “Y/N! Dinner’s ready!” She yelled loud enough for you to hear from the tower. It was quiet, and she heard your sobs. She hadn’t heard them all day because of the whole crew hanging out on the deck all day.

She climbed up to the tower herself to see you. “Y/N? What’s wrong?” She asked softly as she placed a hand on your back. This was kind of unlike her. Sure she was motherly, but she usually had much more energy. “It’s nothing.” You replied wiping your tears. “Come on, Y/N, you can tell me.” She said with a concerned look in her eyes. You turned towards her and broke. You couldn’t hide it anymore. You were scared. She took you into her arms. She didn’t understand without you telling her because she wasn’t as observant as your son figure was, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t care. “I really don’t know why, but I’ve been really scared recently.” You said, as you cried.

She kissed your forehead. “That’s alright, it’s ok to feel scared.” She said. “Even I get scared sometimes, but it always ends up fine!” She picked up your chin to face her. “I’ll protect you, you’re safe with me, so don’t worry.” She’d say with a big smile. Her protectiveness and selflessness was always a great quality. “I promise!” She said excitedly as she kissed your nose.

“Come on, let’s go have dinner before it gets cold.” She said, holding her hand out for you to grab.

I’m sorry this is so awful, writing for Beidou was a step out of my comfort zone because I’ve never written for her and I didn’t know where to start because I don’t really know her personally as well as other characters.

Anything from how to deck the ship or the pirate’s positions on the battlefield. You felt that power, it made you feel good. For that short moment you were the Princess of Khaenri’ah, rightful heir to the Khaenri’ahn Throne. Rightful queen of the godless humans and protector of your realm

Yet looking around you..

Ah, right, you were any other person now. Simple and common as the people you protected

Once, at least

Beidou listened to every word, and when you were done, wiping tears away to look at her carefully, you could see the sadness and tears in her own eyes

She understood you, she felt your pain and it made you cry more

From that day forward, she was more gentle and patient with you when out and about in Liyue or Inazuma

Beidou paid more attention and realized the way you looked longingly and sadly from a high point on land downwards into civilization and realized you were reminiscing

And you were eternally grateful to her for all the times she brought you back to the here and now, with her. Not the fire and blood of 500 years ago to a people you could only remember, and nothing more.

She would make your days special and happy, nothing had to be grandiose or fancy, simple things like giving you a massage, breakfast in bed etc

She always did, though the captain made an effort to show you how smitten she was every chance she got

Because unknowingly, that night as she held you protectively as if you would too burn away, she made a promise

That she would do everything in her power to ensure you wouldn’t loose her, and the people you loved

Even when you two began dating, you hadn’t revealed to her why

She, by strength believed to be stronger then you and depending on who you asked, would tell you who was more cunning

The only person who knew of your origins was Her Majesty The Tsarista and Pierro, Number 1 of the Harbingers

It wasn't like you had to tell Pierro, he just kind of already knew

How could The Jester forget the Harlequin who ruined his original plans for Khaenri'ah

Who he had blamed on bad days for the destruction of his nation

You only silently took his anger, you understood it
