Rewatching being human and the way that even though their relationship starts off rocky they still kind of immediately reach for eachother...Josh is snarky/rude to Sally but when he's shifting and stuck in the cellar he still calls her and pleads that if theres any way she can help to please try. And she does. She tries to leave and when she's crying later its partially over her own trauma but also because she couldn't help Josh. Aidan sees that she's crying and intentionally goes to sit next to her. Sally opens up to him about why she's crying. And he reaches for her, evem though he knows he can't touch her. He reaches for her anyways. They all don't know eachother that well in the pilot but still they reach for eachother because they know the other understands their curse. It's a key part of the show. What it feels like to feel scared and vulnerable and to reach out to others instinctiveley. To seek understanding. And to want to help others even when you can't help yourself. And to show compassion for others as a way of showing compassion for yourself. Wahhhhhhh

One of the best and personally one of favorite romantic moments I have ever seen comes from the Syfy miniseries of Alice.
Now it has been a while since I’ve seen this series, so I can’t really speak about the quality of it as I don’t remember everything, but what I do remember and absolutely love from this show was the main couple of Alice and Hatter and the ending.
Alice has returned to the human dimension and she’s obviously changed, but can’t explain to anyone why and then her mom calls her out to meet their new neighbor or like a construction worker (for some reason?); and there’s Hatter, in the real world, and Alice immediately rushes to hug him, beyond happy to see him again
And I have always, ALWAYS, loved how he hugs her back and how his face looks when he says, “finally.”
Then they start kissing, which was lovely and all. Plus, the mom was super confused, which is pretty funny, because there’s just no logical explanation for why this was happening from her perspective.
But for me, THE romantic moment of this scene, that has been ingrained in my heart and mind for 13 years, was seeing just how happy and relieved Hatter was to have Alice hugging him and being with her once more.
I loved that moment 13 years ago and I still love it to this day.

Rick and Dr Wong…
Sue me, I ship them.
Reasons why?
1. Rick has TRIED dating people as smart or strong as him before, he’s dated literal aliens and had a few crushes that never worked out. He was ready to raise a kid with one and that didn’t work out. He needs to try a normal human being, someone to help balance out his syfi life, call out his BS, respect his space, help him out, and not be afraid of him.
2. Diane is NEVER coming back in canon, she’s been erased all across this timeline’s multiverse. Bird Person is gone. Unity is toxic. And I can’t find anyone else that would be alright for him that he can actually get along with and find respect for.
3. Rick respects her to a point he actually listens and behaves in therapy, he admitted she was right about him needing it, he defended her and saved her life and asked her for HELP with the whole Unity deal (tho she didn’t have the full story). He would never do this with ANY other human that wasn’t his family or a close friend.
These reasons are all why I think it could work out even if it will never be canon.
Also Rick seems pretty angry With the President flirting with her. If she was just another human to him he wouldn’t be bothered at all, he’d just say “Ew” and walk away like it’s nothing. Instead he gets MAD and pretends not to care, something we’ve ONLY seen him do with people he genuinely cares about. Like when he got jealous that Morty saw a random group of people as his heroes.
Now reasons why I like them as a ship in general?
Look at photos of them as a duo
They have a similar “I’m done with this bullshit” and “you know I’m right” Attitude.
I love this dynamic.
And I know what your thinking:
“She’s his therapist! She can’t date him! It’s so wrong!”-
Get real, it’s rick and morty. This show isn’t traditional by ANY means. Beth is literally dating her own clone while still married to her husband. Morty dated an alien, Rick has fucked an alien horse lady and a planet, Morty had a son, Jerry got swapped with another reality, Morty isn’t even biologically Rick’s Morty.
This show is all about breaking tradition. So Rick dating his own therapist isn’t even a stretch. And Dr Wong while remaining a therapist has stepped out of her “code” quite a few times for the Sanchez family and therefore shouldn’t have a problem doing so again.

NCIS: Origins has tapped Kyle Schmid to play a pivotal legacy character in CBS‘ forthcoming Young Gibbs-centric prequel series.
Schmid, best known for his starring role in History’s SEAL Team-themed limited series Six, will portray a young version of Mike Franks, the special agent originated on NCIS by Muse Watson.
The newest chapter in the NCIS franchise, which is set shortly after the death of Gibbs’ first wife, will be narrated by Mark Harmon, who portrayed the character for 19 seasons on the flagship.
NCIS: Origins picks up in 1991, just as Young Gibbs (played by Austin Stowell) is starting his career as a newly minted Special Agent at the fledgling NIS Camp Pendleton office. There, Jethro forges his place on a gritty, ragtag team led by franchise legend Mike Franks.
Stowell’s Franks is described as “a proud Texan who all but showers in his cowboy boots and sports a perfectly coiffed mustache that’s as thick as his skin.” Much like the adult iteration of the character, Young Franks “is a born leader with an unwavering moral compass who’s determined to find justice by any means necessary.”
TVLine previously reported that NCIS: Origins will also feature a young version of Special Agent Vera Strickland, Franks’ onetime partner played by Roma Maffia in a Season 11 NCIS episode.

The Origins ensemble also includes Mariel Molino (ABC’s Promised Land) as Special Agent Lala Dominguez, a former Marine with a dark sense of humor
Mark Harmon’s son Sean Harmon — who has played a younger version of Gibbs in several NCIS flashbacks, and who came up with the idea for NCIS: Origins — will executive-produce the new series along with his dad and co-showrunners Gina Lucita Monreal and David J. North.
Schmid’s credits also include Syfy’s Being Human, ABC’s Big Sky and The CW’s Arrow.

Hello Anon! Sorry about the super late replay! (´~`ヾ) I’m going to assume when you say you want to know more about the 2p world you were referencing the post where I said I need to create a whole post about how 2p toonz and 1p toonz are “Angels” and “Demons”
But before I dive into that let me answer the second part. Yes I’m positive 2p boys have their own names since some awesome peeps here on tumblr have told me them when I have asked before but I can’t remember all of them of the top of my head.
I do remember is that 2p Wildcat has the name Zipcat (゚ヮ゚) the rest of the boys I don’t remember (´~`ヾ)
I tend to just refer them to their original names because I kept forgetting what names the Fandom would use when referring to the 2p boys lol

So! As much as it would be funny if Cartoonz was a legit Demon/Angel in the 1p/2p world my brain wanted like a more Syfy element to explain why certain people have abilities that range from physical skills and to what other may consider supernatural.
So! In my headcanon on how exactly these two exist can possibly exist in the gang au that is like the main setting for 1p/2p these two are actually Aliens…. Yes aliens. Let me explain.
This isn’t meant to be like a slander of religion or what not, I just thought it’ll be a cool idea that your traditional alien and demon were actually aliens.
In the 1p/2p world humanity was created by two different Alien species fucking around on a planet and wanting too see what will happen if they created a creature made in their image but without any of their abilities. Hence the birth of humans, those humans called the species that had red skin, horns and tails Daimōn meaning “spiritual being that influences a person’s character.” And for those with blue skin, wings and a hallow they called them Angelus meaning “a messenger , those who are guardians.”
They called them this because at the beginning the Daimons would be the ones trying to influence the new species to explore new things, feel new emotions and experience others to observe how they would react to certain circumstance.
While the Angelus would be the ones to set certain standards, make them question their actions and to look at the results, try to make them think before they act. And helped them with any problems that might pop up.
At the beginning both these specifics of aliens worked together but over time they started to argue with each other for having different view on which direction to lead this new species. In the end it started a fight and humans caught in the middle. Over time humanity view on Daimons shifted to view them as pure evil becuase they blamed their actions on them. “They’re the ones who encouraged me to follow my desire, they’re the ones who said to ignore what other say and do what I wished. It’s thier fault for the fighting, it’s their fault for the temptations” and they view Angelus as their savior “they helped me with my problems, if I devote myself they will help me be safe, if I follow certain rules I shall prosper, they saved us from the fighting”
Both species of aliens eventually stopped fighting and agreed to leave humans be and check back every 100 years to check on their progress of things but to not interfere.
but this rule was broken by a select few who wanted to poke at humanity to see how they react.
In the case of 1p Cartoonz who is a Daimon (Demon) he was at earth watching how humans could be kind one second and vicious the next. He actually stumbled across Delirious who was a thief and a small time gangster fighting to feed himself but got caught in a bigger gang scheme and ended up being shot and dumped in an alleyway for dead. Cartoonz made a deal with him because he wanted to see what will happen if an ordinary human who got double crossed and thrown under the bus had abilities of the supernatural kind.
In the case of 2p Cartoonz who is a Angelus (Angel) he was sent to earth by his council to bond with a baby to learn how to experience Empathy and Remorse because unfortunately for 2p Cartoonz and his society he was born with traits of a psychopath who could not understand or feel empathy, guilt or love towards another. So bonding with a baby would help him experience these emotions from new born to adult hood. Of course 2p Cartoonz hated this idea and when he heard stories about 2p delirious who others called a lifeless machine, an emotionless attacked dog, he decided to create a bond with him because it would be far more exciting than following a baby around being an invisible figure who couldn’t interact with anything or anyone.
the rest is history lol. Of course this information is subject to change if I feel that some details need to be changed but overall this is the setting in regards to demons and angels for me.

I'm still relatively new to the world of BL and not fully immersed in it yet either so I could potentially be working off only partial (or even slightly incorrect) information here BUT
Why do there seem to be so many remakes in the world of BL? Don't get me wrong, I know there are plenty in the non-BL sphere too (Boys Over Flowers seems to be a prefect example of a drama that has been remade by multiple countries about 5000 times) but it does feel like it happens more frequently in BL and I'm wondering why that is, especially when the shows they pick to remake are often considered classics or have their own very distinctive character that's... not necessarily conducive to a positively received remake.
Does it just feel this way because BL is a much smaller pool so it's easier to encounter remakes of shows we already know? Or is it because each BL producing country wants their own version of a hit BL series once they know it has a chance to be a success? Or is there another reason all together that I'm missing?
So, cross-culture adaptations of other work exist everywhere in media. It's not unique to BL. Every day I wake up and find that a new European country has decided to adapt Skam. The USA network show Eyewitness is an adaptation of Norwegian show. Shameless was originally a UK show. Same for Queer as Folk. The Cleaning Lady on Fox is an adaptation of an Argentine work. Being Human was adapted by SyFy channel from the UK. Here's a wiki page on this just focusing on America.
Coffee Prince is a popular (to put it mildly) Korean drama that has been adapted multiple times by other nearby cultures.
So, adaptations are fairly normal. We just notice it in BL because of the genre aficionados. Besides, Japan is the origin country and it's interesting to see what some of their beats look like interpreted in other cultures.
Also, it's hard to sell romance. BL is also a niche genre. They'll rely on any bit of familiarity to get the buzz going on a project. Even my doubts about My Love Mix Up will make people curious about it because Gemini and Fourth just picked up huge popularity from Moonlight Chicken and My School President. The fact that some of us are doubting them means people who love them are going to be even more excited because it indicates that GMMTV is putting a lot of trust in them. It also means that Kieta Hatsukoi fans are likely going to cross over in the first week at least even if it's just to judge the show.
Adaptations are just good business sense for both parties. The Japanese team gets to monetize their IP further, and it often leads to secondary purchases and engagement with the source content.
