I am too tired to draw right now but I want to talk more about my Darkstripe and Longtail are brothers AU
- Darkkit and Longkit are the two oldest sons of Willowpelt and Whitestorm. Willowpelt and her littermates are very close so the kits grow up visiting with Spottedleaf and Redtail a lot, as well as Bluestar. They’re a very competitive pair of brothers and they’re always competing to impress their clanmates. Longtkit is a lot like Whitestorm; Kind, curious, and forgiving, and Darkkit reminds Willowpelt of Swiftbreeze; Sassy, brave, and stubborn
- When they’re apprenticed, Darkpaw gets Tigerclaw as his mentor and Longpaw gets Goldenflower. Tigerclaw recognizes that Darkpaw is Thistleclaw’s kin (grandson) so he’s inclined to focus more on battle training for the sake of his former mentor’s “legacy.” Goldenflower is a much less devious mentor and is focused on taking Longpaw’s tail into account - his tail is a huge advantage for balance but could also cause trouble while hunting if he lets it drag on the floor. Sometimes Darkpaw and Longpaw get to train together and thats how Goldenflower and Tigerclaw start talking and become friends.
- Darkpaw experiences much higher standards and more difficult training sessions than his brother, but he manages to just barely keep up with Tigerclaw’s demands. Darkpaw begins to get smug - He’s a lot better at most battle moves than Longpaw is. Longpaw’s noticed his brother’s battle skill too. Both apprentices attribute Darkpaw’s success to Tigerclaw’s teaching, and they both look up to him a lot (Though Goldenflower is still Longpaw’s favourite teacher; he likes that she’s patient and likes to joke around).
- Darkstripe and Longtail become warriors about half a year before Into the Wild begins. Goldenflower retreats to the nursery around this time and has Swiftkit and Lynxkit (Patchpelt’s kits, though he doesn’t have any part in raising them. Goldenflower’s like a single mom and Patchpelt is just a donor; She and Tigerclaw are still friends but they haven’t considered being mates yet). Longtail sometimes finds the time to visit her and her kits, but between his warrior duties and how many naps the kits take a day he doesn’t see his former mentor as much as he’d like. Longtail spends most of his days with Darkstripe, who spends most of his time following around Tigerclaw on patrols. Thus the Tigerclaw posse forms
- Graykit, Darkstripe and Longtail’s little brother, is born. Graykit is a blend of Willowpelt, Swiftbreeze, and Snowfur: Brave, goofy, and sweet. Since the difference in age is so great, Darkstripe and Longtail aren’t super close with him. Longtail is Graykit’s favourite brother though (He makes fun of Darkstripe for always scowling)
- Longtail begins to adopt a couple of Tigerclaw and Darkstripe’s opinions as his own - Thunderclan deserves only the strongest warriors, and outsiders suck. He’s certainly not as into it as Darkstripe is because Tigerclaw has been feeding him that nonsense for much longer, but Longtail believes it enough to challenge Rusty, who is like a baby, to a fight in front of everyone. When Longtail loses, Spottedleaf, his aunt, scolds him for his actions and it actually stings him a little bit.
- Redtail’s death smacks both brothers upside the head. Their uncle had been there for a good portion of their kithood, and their first role model. Tigerclaw claims to be the one to have avenged Redtail’s death at Sunningrocks, which earns him more points with Darkstripe and Longtail.
- Darkstripe takes in Dustpaw as his apprentice and tries to mimic Tigerclaw’s training method, but he’s actually not a very good teacher. Longtail tries to offer advice but Darkstripe’s pride won’t let him take it.
- This AU works in collaboration with my other AU about Dustpelt, Ravenpaw, and Sandstorm all being littermates taken in to Thunderclan after they were found on the border. Darkstripe is particularly hard on Dustpaw because he was born an outsider, and has him turn on Ravenpaw for the sake of proving his loyalty. The three kits were found on the border with Shadowclan, which sparks rumors about them possibly being Shadowclan kits, and in turn gives reason to Tigerclaw’s lies about Ravenpaw being a Shadowclan spy.
- Goldenflower specifically requests Longtail as Swiftpaw’s mentor, which Longtail is very humbled by. He sees a lot of Goldenflower in Swiftpaw and the two work really well as a team.
- When it’s revealed that Tigerclaw’s a traitor, Darkstripe and Longtail are absolutely stunned. When Tigerclaw is asking his allies to go into exile with him, Darkstripe initially refuses. According to what Tigerclaw taught him, Thunderclan was what mattered most, and it needed strong warriors. If Tigerclaw wasn’t going to be around anymore, Darkstripe figured he would need to be there. However, Darkstripe soon realizes that he’s not as strong as Tigerclaw is, and he can’t seem to build up that same reputation. He falls into thinking that perhaps Tigerclaw was what made Thunderclan great, not the other way around. Longtail however completely disowns Tigerclaw as a role model the second it’s revealed. He recognizes that everything Tigerclaw ever said about Thunderclan demanding loyalty and strength was never actually true, thats just what Tigerclaw was demanding. At first, the shock of losing their group leader brings Longtail and Darkstripe closer as brothers, but after the dust has settled and Darkstripe begins to express some of his pro-Tigerstar thoughts, the brothers begin to drift apart.
- Swiftpaw’s death is Longtail’s waking nightmare. Not only has he failed his student in the worst way, but he failed Goldenflower. He can’t bear to look her in the eye. The fact Tigerclaw lead the dogs there makes it even more horrifying.
- Willowpelt and Whitestorm have their third litter of Rainkit, Sootkit, and Sorrelkit. Again, Longtail and Darkstripe aren’t super involved with their siblings but they visit sometimes. Longtail visits more than Darkstripe does. Rainkit is like a carbon copy of Willowpelt, being mellow, sweet, and attentive, Sootkit is a lot like Adderfang, strong silent type with very sharp eyes, and Sorrelkit is somewhere between Whitestorm and Willowpelt; Adventurous, friendly, and curious. It’s Sorrelkit’s sense of adventure that leads her to follow her older brother, Darkstripe, out of camp. Darkstripe poisoning Sorrelkit gets him swiftly disowned by his whole family. Longtail feels hollow - he’s lost two cats he really thought he could trust, and it’s gonna take a while to reconnect with the cats he’s been putting second place to Darkstripe.
- Darkstripe becomes part of Shadowclan/Tigerclan under Tigerstar’s rule, but Darkstripe doesn’t feel any better. Despite being part of Tigerstar’s crew again, he doesn’t feel strong, and he clearly takes a backseat to some of the Shadowclan born cats such as Blackfoot. Darkstripe spends the remainder of his life chasing this illusion of strength that he gets from being Tigerstar’s ally
- The battle with Bloodclan is where this AU gets COOL okay. Longtail is the one to intercept Darkstripe’s attack on Firestar. This fight is the first time they’ve seen each other since Darkstripe’s exile. Longtail hopes Darkstripe will give in and surrender, but Darkstripe won’t let up, and he’s still a much fiercer fighter than his brother. Longtail doesn’t have a choice but to kill him. During Whitestorm’s death, Graystripe and Firestar are still the ones to be with him during his death, but instead of nominating Graystripe as the next deputy, Whitestorm gives the much more ambiguous “Make my son deputy.” Firestar just assumes it’s Graystripe since Graystripe is his closest friend, but Whitestorm might have been suggesting Longtail.
- After the battle is over, Longtail finds Willowpelt. He tells her Darkstripe is dead, but leaves out the detail of how he died. She doesn’t need to know that. When they head home, Longtail makes the time to be more present for his youngest siblings since Whitestorm is gone now. During Firestar’s quest, he loses his sight and his mother all in a very short period of time. This is a bad era for Longtail.
- The end of new prophecy and the time before power of three is also a bad time for Longtail. Graystripe is missing, and Sootfur, Rainwhisker, and Goldenflower have all died. Longtail tries to be there for Sorreltail. He visits with his nieces like Redtail and Spottedleaf used to visit him. Graystripe’s return is joyous though, and Longtail, Graystripe, and Sorreltail end up with a nice reunion. They’ll never really understand each other completely because they’ve all lived such different lives, but they all enjoy each other’s company. Longtail is also a good uncle to Graystripe and Millie’s kits; That’s why Briarpaw wouldn’t leave the elders den without Longtail right before the tree fell.
- In the battle with the dark forest, Longtail finds Darkstripe once again. They fight, and like last time, Longtail really hopes Darkstripe will give up. He doesn’t want to have to kill his littermate twice. This time, Darkstripe does give up, scared of being completely erased from existence, and he slinks back into the dark forest. That’s the last time they’ll ever see each other. Darkstripe spends the rest of his dark forest existence in an even deeper personal hell - Tigerstar has completely vanished, and Darkstripe is completely alone with nobody but himself.

Holding up your hands tightly pressed to your ears, you take a deep breath. Your eardrums are almost ringing with how loud it’s starting to become in the hallway. “Vanya’s in the room at the end of the hall!” Shouts Diego, still leaning his back against the front desk, along with Allison. While you sit in the corner where the wall at the desk meet. Klaus to your right who’s currently taking sips from his flask, while depressingly gazing down at the floor.
You give Diego a no-shit-I-have-eyes-too sassy look, “How do you propose we get her?” Shouting back at him.
“I haven’t figured that one out yet.” He says defeated, giving you a glance. “You can count me out.” Whines Klaus, flask still in his right hand.
“Klaus.” Allison snaps.
“What? You guys should save her. You’re great at all the hero shit.” A second later you swat at him while Allison gives his boots an annoyed kick. “Listen, listen. Vanya would understand ‘cause she has realistic expectations of what I am.” He moans in surrender, tired of how wild his life has become. You just throw your hand up in defeat, he’s being ridiculous.
“What is that, huh?” You look over at him with a frown.
“And what I am is sexy trash!” He exclaims, looking between the three of you.
Diego turns to Klaus, “Your’re a big pussy, that’s what you are.”
“Guys, now is not the time.” States Allison, fed up with her brothers bickering.
“Why? Because I don’t wanna die? Who does? Y/N said it sucks ass, I can’t disagree with that statement. And martyrs aren't around to enjoy the victory party...’cause they’re DEAD!” He yells the last part while shaking you for emphasis.
Reaching over you and Allison, Diego goes to grab Klaus, “You are going out there..” Klaus hides by shoving you in front of him. “I’m not! Go away! Get him Y/N!” Shout Klaus, goddamn all this fucking noise and these two idiots, you think frustrated with your current situation. Diego pushes you off to the side to properly grab Klaus, “...or I’m gonna beat you, and not in the way you like it!” He grumbles irritated with Klaus’ hindrance yet again.
Allison looks up, making eye contact with you, “That’s my cue.” She confirms, before suddenly turning around to crawl her way down the hall.
You reach out, just missing her leg, “Allison, wait!” You cry out, but she doesn’t listen. Diego and Klaus yelling for her to come back as well.
You haul yourself half-way onto the desk, gripping it tightly with both of your unnaturally strong arms. Holding on with slight difficulty, you hear her shout for Vanya as she struggles to push forward. The energy becoming too much to bear, Allison looses her footing. You scream for her as she gets knocked backwards, sliding into the hard wooden desk with a thud.
“All right. I’m going.” Diego announces, ready to risk it all for the greater good.
Klaus stops him by pulling at his shirt, diverting his attention to Klaus, Diego looks at him with a what-the-hell-do-you-want, face. “No, wait, wait, wait, wait.” Pleads Klaus desperately.
“What?”
“If we don’t make it back, there’s one thing that I need to tell you.” Klaus tells him breathlessly, as Diego rolls his eyes waiting for this important statement.
Diego turns back to him, “I don’t have time for this.”
“Please.”
“What?” Grumbles Diego, who’s ready to go save Vanya.
Klaus’ voice begins to tremble, “You look like Antonio Banderas with the long hair. I just thought you should know.” He ends with a small huff, looking sadly at Diego.
“Thanks, man.” Diego whispers, grateful for the oddly random compliment his brother just gave him. You would even have laughed if not for the currently intense situation you’re all in.
Diego stands up, holding onto the gate-less desk door as he struggles to walk through it. He turns to give you a small smile, “I love you.” He says softly before looking forward again and attempting to make it down the hallway. So dramatic, you smile at him from your position, still holding onto the top of the desk while more wind and powerful energy continues it’s assault down throughout the hallway.
You watch in anticipation and worry as Diego pulls out two knives and stabs them into the tiled floor, as he begins to army crawl his way to Vanya, using his knives for support. He almost looks like a rock climber, as he forces himself onward. A couple more ragged inches closer to the door, Diego shouts to you, “Y/N! I’m not gonna make it. It’s up to you and Klaus now!” He frantically shouts at you, barely hanging on to his knife that’s stabbed into the floor.
“Shit.” You mutter quietly to yourself as you glance down at the desk top, thinking deeply for a moment. It’s now or never, and Vanya needs us. You’ll be damned if you let her down once again. Not this time. You look up in deep worry as Diego climbs forward, reaching up with all he’s got left, and pulling the release hatch that holds the fire-hose. He then let’s go, skidding back down the hallway as you cry out for him.
You look down at a scared Klaus who looks back up at you with a sad smile, “I believe in you, Y/N.” He tells you quietly, tugging slightly at your dark jeans. A small act of comfort to get you ready for “battle”. You nod, giving him a crooked half-smile, before turning back to the brightly glowing door at the end of the hall. You can do this, for Vanya, and the rest of existence. Filled with determination and pure adrenaline, you make your way around the wooden desk. Falling to your knees in the process, you glance over at an unconscious Allison and Diego.
It feels like your arms and legs are being tugged back by someone holding a rope. Like when you try and run in a dream but you feel like you’re going in slow motion. That’s how you currently feel, but the first step is always the hardest after-all. You begin by throwing your whole palm to the ground, digging your fingers physically into the tiled floor, creating small dents in your wake. It helps more then you’d expected, finally something going right for once.
Inch by inch, you climb your way up the hall, leaving what looks like five fingered claw marks behind you. Surprised by your own strength at times, but indubitably thankful for your gifts. At long last you’ve made it to the wooden door, your fingers puncturing through the floor for stability. The only thing keeping you from failing your personal mission. Gripping onto the front of the door with your left hand, your fingers practically slice through the wood, as you hold on with everything you have left. You stop for a moment, saving your energy for when you go to twist the door handle.
“Klaus, I can’t make it all the way, it’s up to you buddy!” You yell at him, breathing heavily and feeling more drained by the second. “You gotta save the world. You have to summon Ben!” You tell him, feeling like your muscles are about to give out. “No, Y/N, that’s a terrible idea!” He shouts, not believing that he has what it takes to be a hero. You look up at the door handle, reaching out your right hand and giving the knob a quick twist. The door flies open with an extreme burst of white hot energy that burns your skin and sends you violently down the hallway. Where you crash into the wooden desk, leaving a noticeable dent, the collision now positioning you right next to Diego as you lay on your back, your head facing his unconscious one. Klaus comes into your blotchy line of vision, he’s holding onto the fire-hose for dear life as his nose and ears start to bleed. You watch as he slowly makes his way almost to the door before another huge wave of energy sends him sliding on his back right into Allison. Fuck. It’s hard to see or hear anything, the energy fucking up your senses. Everything feels too much. Your skin feels like it’s on fire. You suddenly watch as a silhouette walks past you standing over Klaus for a brief moment, before it begins walking down the hallway and into the room with Vanya. Your eyes slowly shut, to tired to fight back.
——
Coming back to your senses, your eyes flutter open to Diego who’s starting to wake up as well. You raise your head up to the sound of bare feet padding on the cold floor towards the four of you. “Are you okay?” Vanya says while running to all of you, who are slowly getting up. “Vanya.” Allison says surprised, unsure for a moment if this is all a bad dream.
“Physically or emotionally?” Whimpers Klaus, still laying on the floor. She gives you all a small smile. The rest of you returning one yourselves, grateful that everybody appears to be fine.
“You’re alive?” Diego asks her, shocked that she’s completely unharmed.
“Did we save the world or what?” Klaus wonders, finally rising into a siting position.
“I think so, or at least I hope.” You mutter, pulling yourself up onto your hands and knees.
“Building’s still here.” Sighs Allison from the floor while leaning her back against the front desk. Your eyes flicker to Diego, who’s checking at his watch. “Kennedy’s a few minutes away. I can still save him.” He says quickly getting up. You stand up with a rush, “No, Diego, wait!” You call after him, as he runs down the hallway and towards a window. You following close behind him as Allison gets up and begins to follow you two.
“I still have time to stop Dad before Kennedy makes his final turn.” He assures you, turning swiftly to leave. You reach your arms out quickly to grab him, “No, no, where are you going?” You question, as you pull him to you. “Look, I saw the explosion. I saw the tapes, Y/N.” He says looking into your eyes, while you study his face, you frown with doubt. He shouldn’t be messing with the timeline like this. “The explosion causes doomsday. You’re safe now.” Diego pauses for a second, looking deeply into your unbelieving eyes. “He doesn’t have to die.” Giving you a quick smile before turning back around and promptly exiting through the double doors. You don’t even have time to yell out for him to stop. It’s not like you’re going to fight him physically to stay. You’d for sure win, but at what cost? Will he even be able to prevent the assassination?
You wondered on in uncertainty, Allison touching your shoulder gently, “The stubbornness of that man, I swear.” You nod to her in understanding, shaking your head as you wait for the events that are soon to unravel.
——
You and Allison watch out the large window, the both of you scanning the grounds below for any potential danger. You keep looking for the man in the umbrella or Diego, if he actually manages to make it to the parade that is.
“Hey. Is that? Diego?” Klaus says, while pointing downward towards the grass, you look closer, adjusting your eyes. You can clearly see Diego, hauling ass to stop Reginald. You shake your head in disbelief. Don’t do it, Diego.
Standing between Allison and Vanya, you glance at each of them, “Kennedy’s going to die, I can feel it.” You whisper, just enough for them to hear you. A moment later you watch as Diego body slams, now looking closer, a stranger into the grass. Shit.
Gunshots go off and the presidential parade scatters, police sirens wailing in the distance. The four of you look on, feeling your own amounts of sickened dismay.

Supernatural season 5 review (part 2)
Link to part 1:
Irene and I had finished season 5 and, as I already imagined, I loved it. I'm not quite sure if I like it more than the previous one, I think they're kind of in the same level of greatness.
It starts with Lucifer rising again and Sam and Dean being miraculously saved. They immediately meet Chuck to know what happened with the angels and the prophet tells them Castiel has been killed by them. With Lucifer out of the cage Zacharia (who fortunately gets killed at the end by the older Winchester) wants Dean to be Michael's vessel, since he's the only one who can beat the devil: the only problem is that Dean has to say "yes" to Michael. He obviously doesn't want to, so the angels trying to convince him will be a recurrent thing throughout the season. Dean tries to not change his opinion, because becoming Micheal's vessel would mean the two archangels would fight and with their power they would destroy half the planet, but the more time passes the more Dean's hopes vanish, and towards the end he decides to accept Zacharia's proposal. At the last moment, however, to Sam, Castiel and Bobby's relief and delight, he opposes it and Adam, brought back to life only to replace his brother, accepts to be Michael's vessel. This whole mess will eventually end with Lucifer (in Sam's vessel) back in the cage, along with Michael (in Adam's), Castiel miraculously brought back (again, after returning at the beginning of the season) and a desperate Dean trying to keep living a life with Lisa and Ben after losing his brother and promising him to try a new life without hunts.
The main focus of the season is obviously trying to defeat Lucifer, who we meet in the first episode. It is already an interesting character, because he feels misunderstood by God and believes he didn't deserve what he got from his father. It is almost impossible not to empathise at least a little bit with him. He also hides his evil side pretty well at first, making him seem almost like the actual good guy of the situation and the victim of a cruel God. I like the fact that he shows up to the people he wants to convince as their loved one (like he did with Nick when he showed as his wife). He tries to convince Sam to be his vessel (because he's actually the only one who would truly contain him) showing up as Jessica. Sam obviously doesn't want to help Lucifer with the Apocalypse, although both Sam and us don't even really know what his true intentions are. We quickly learn that he obviously, as he hated humanity before, still does it now, so his plan is actually mostly a revenge. He really seems like the final big bad guy, probably because he was supposed to be, and because every other villain ultimately leads to him. I believe he is my favourite one: he is a way more rounded character than the others, having his own motivations (that go beyond wanting to do bad and win over the others). As much as he's wrong for doing what he's doing, at least he got his reasons. He is the first angel who has rebelled against God and he was punished for it, but he's not the only one who did it. At the end of the last season we saw Castiel, persuaded by Dean, rebelling against the angels and their plan to bring Lucifer back. So what makes the difference between them? I think it is the reasons and the intentions behind their actions: Lucifer rebelled because he hated humans and now wants to end them, Castiel rebelled because he loves humanity and wants to defend it. So there's no surprise when Castiel refuses to join Lucifer when he tries to get his brother to come to the dark side in episode 05x10.
Lucifer is not the only new villain, we also meet two demons with opposite purposes: Meg and Crowley. Meg isn't actually new, as we know her since season one, but she has a new body. Her character doesn't change much in season five, she's still a loyal servant, in this case to Lucifer, but we'll see what I will think about her in the next seasons, as I know, as much as I can remember, she will improve. Crowley on the other hand is a lone wolf and wants Lucifer dead as much as the two protagonists want him. I have loved Crowley since the first episode I saw him (05x10) for several reasons. I adore his personality: he's funny and sassy and the perfect villain who's not really a villain (because at the end of the day neither Dean or Sam want him dead, and neither he wants them to be dead as well). I like the fact that he just minds his own business: he doesn't want to start apocalypses or whatsoever, he just wants to keep living, and he knows being against Lucifer is an immediate suicide for a demon, so he helps the Winchesters to kill him. He gives them the Colt at first, believing they could kill him with that, and so they attempt to, ending up with Jo and Ellen dead and the certainty that the Colt couldn't kill the devil. On a side note, I liked seeing Jo and Ellen back, but I hated watching them dying, as much as I loved the episode thanks to its intensity and melancholy (especially in the scenes between Jo and Ellen and between Jo and Dean, although I'm not totally convinced that he should have kissed her, even if I think he did it mainly to make her understand how much he cared about her, rather than for romantic love). I don't appreciate Supernatural not having a female main character who stays alongside the boys for more than a few seasons. I don't expect a woman to become a main character like Castiel but it would have been nice to see a woman appear at least as much as Bobby. This side of Supernatural shows how far behind it is in some ways and that it needed to improve on many aspects (such as veiled, but not too much, misogyny). Returning to Crowley, the demon proves to be essential as thanks to him Sam and Dean understand how to stop Lucifer: not killing him but sending him back where he came from. To do this they need to open a portal that leads Lucifer into his cage, and the portal can only be opened by the rings of the four knights of the apocalypse. They are characters brought to earth, thanks to Lucifer, that Sam and Dean have the pleasure of meeting (and defeating most of the time). The most interesting character is certainly Death, with whom Dean talks (episode 05x21) and who has no intention of fighting the brothers, indeed he voluntarily gives them his ring. The only problem left is to find Lucifer and to push him into the cage. Sam, who has been thinking for days that he has to accept Lucifer's request in order to try to jump into the portal, manages to convince Dean, who obviously would never want Sam to be locked in Lucifer's cage with the devil himself inside him.
Sam and Dean, mainly because of everything that happened last season, have to try to rebuild their now inevitably changed relationship (whose antagonism is exasperated in the parallelism of the two protagonists with the archangels Lucifer, the rebellious son, and Michael, the devoted son). Dean, as much as he doesn't want to, can't keep pretending everything's okay between them and thinks it's best to take different paths. The two brothers remain divided until Dean realizes they can win against the angels and Lucifer only if they are together. From then on their relationship strengthens more and more, until Dean, I think for the first time, decides to completely trust Sam, reject Zacharia's proposal and find another way to defeat Lucifer (05x18). The final step forward is surely Dean accepting Sam's idea of becoming Lucifer's vessel, while knowing what it entails. The difference in their relationship between the end of this season and last season lies in several factors: Sam opens up to Dean and tries to be as honest as possible, while Dean accepts that his brother is now grown up and must make his choices, even if these involve his sacrifice to save humanity. Their relationship ends with one last touching scene in which Dean manages to reach Sam, despite being controlled by Lucifer, and give him enough strength to jump into the portal that will lead him to the cage. I think this season potrais their relationship in a way never seen before, with a rollercoaster of emotions that shows how much they care about each other and how much they have grown in the recent years.
There's another relationship that I'd like to talk about and that I think has evolved over the course of the season, Dean and Castiel's. The two certainly make giant strides towards the end of season four, when Castiel decides to rebel and side with Dean, but they are not yet in the best of relationships. Dean finally seems to trust Castiel, but is still not entirely comfortable with him and his personality ("Cas, we've talked about the personal space", 05x03), while Castiel, after being brought back to life, is convinced, in the early episodes of the season, that he can find God, which Dean is very skeptical of. The thing that may come as a surprise, however, is that Dean supports Castiel and comforts him when the angel seems to have lost hope. I don't think it's really shocking, considering Dean sees himself in Castiel, who seems to be just a confused son looking for an absent father, which Dean is by now an expert of (and the funny thing is that in the emotional episode 05x13, where Sam and Dean go back in time and meet their parents, John, once he knows the lives of the two brothers, he wonders how a father can behave that way with their children, obviously not being aware of the hard truth). When, in episode 05x16, in which Dean and Sam die and go to heaven (which I think is quite original, divided into personal heavens formed by memories of each of the dead people), they discover that God is somewhere, but that he has no intention of intervening in any way, giving relatively little importance to humanity and angels, Castiel is completely destroyed by the news and copes getting drunk (another parallelism with Dean I would say) and in this episode (05x17), confident they can't get help from God, Dean calls the formed trio "team free will" (emphasizing the fact that they are now free to make their own choices). I feel like Dean and Cas start to bond especially when Dean is alone (so in episode 05x03) and he understands Castiel's value in episode 05x04, when Zacharia sends him to a future where he has not accepted to be Michael's vessel, Sam is Lucifer vessel and the world is infected by the Croatoan virus. Dean meets his future self (a way worse and more desperate version of him) who trusts past Dean after he tells his future self an anecdote (that he never revealed to anyone) about wearing pink panties and liking it. I'll admit I completely forgot about that particular (probably because I was 15 when I first watched it and this information seemed extremely irrelevant to me) and I'm still amazed that such a scene really exists. Anyway Dean realizes that, despite everything that has been going on and the way he's become, Castiel has never abandoned him. He also understands, noticing how much the future Castiel has changed and how hopeless he gets, he should appreciate his Castiel more (and that is something Castiel will eventually tell him directly too in episode 05x18, in which after Dean decides to agree to Michael Castiel beats him up telling him he rebelled for him and so he shouldn't repay him like that).
Chuck compares in episode too, showing he's still on Dean's side as well. I honestly quite like him in this season: he's awkward, confused and out of place most of the time, but I think that's what makes it likeable, at least for me. We see more of him in episode 05x09, where there's a Supernatural convention and Sam and Dean have to deal with both their fans (without them knowing who they really are) and a case, and are forced to work with a couple of fans who fortunately save everyone. At the end of the episode Dean discovers that the two fans, both male, are a real couple (making it the first homosexual couple in the series). I don't quite know how to interpret this moment (which writers probably didn't even give too much thought to), but the fact that in the next scene we see Dean thinking next to the car with a little smile makes me believe that that the step forward to acceptance was not only made by the series.
There's another character who's not totally new but seems to be at the same time: Gabriel. We have known him since season two by the name of "Trickster", but thanks to Castiel we find out, along with the brothers, that he was an archangel all along (who gave us some of the funniest episodes, and especially Dean thirsting over Dr. Sexy in episode 05x08). They ask him to join their side, but quickly understand he doesn't want to be on anyone's side. He fortunately changes his mind on episode 05x19 and sides with Sam and Dean, only to be killed by Lucifer at the end of the episode. Gabriel is my favourite angel besides Castiel, for obvious reasons, so I was very happy he decided to risk it all and go against his brother to be on the Winchesters' squad.
To conclude, as much as I think there are some parts of the season they could have done better (for example the scene with Lucifer and Michael in the last episode), I believe this is one of the best seasons of the show, so we'll see if after rewatching the other ten seasons I will have the same opinion.

Hello! I finally figured out the settings on tumblr dot com and now I present to you, this weird angsty Sabriel poem thing I wrote at 1:30 in the morning! Enjoy! (or don’t enjoy, I’m not a cop, just don’t come at me in my asks if you think it was bad) (pls)
Before Sam Winchester, Gabriel was obedient.
He loved his family, served his father, did everything a loyal archangel should.
He had to, in order to keep the peace.
For now.
When the archangels were created, they knew how their lives would play out, for the most part.
Never any large details like how they would die or who they would meet along the way, just the overarching events of their lives.
Their destiny.
Gabriel knew that he would meet his true love, his soulmate, in the blink of an eye.
This soulmate was to be a human.
They wouldn’t have very long together, only the length of the human’s life.
For after that the human would be one of thousands in Heaven’s halls and would most likely not even remember Gabriel.
Barely 80 years in a millennium is akin to a single spark in centuries of darkness.
Gabriel knew he would have to make an impression and make use of what little time they had.
Unlike humans, an angel’s love is eternal.
Human love is transient, temporary, fleeting.
But angels, angels will love as fiercely as the raging seas and just as deep, for eternity.
And when Sam was finally born, Gabriel felt as if he suddenly knew the answer to everything.
Sam’s soul was so bright, so strong, yet so fragile.
Strange.
Gabriel would have given his life at that very second just to see the safety of this boy and his unintelligible soul.
Gabriel waited, bode his time, watched over Sam as well as he could.
What young Sam called luck, Gabriel called divine intervention, to the smallest degree of course.
Lost homework showing up in Sam’s backpack, getting back to the Impala right before the rain started, somehow getting cell service everywhere.
Little conveniences that made life easier, more bearable.
Gabriel couldn’t change huge things like the death of Sam’s mother, no matter how hard he wanted to.
Poor Mary, Gabriel hoped she knew how much she was loved.
Gabriel waited until Sam was old enough to truly comprehend romantic love and show it to the people around him before he finally made his move.
He had to attract him in some way, what better way than a case?
Gabriel played his part, the monster at the end of the book.
The deadly mastermind.
Gabe didn’t really like harming or hurting Sam, but if this was the only way to get Sam’s attention, then so be it.
Gabriel played a little while longer as this “Trickster,” doing everything he could to get closer to Sam.
Gabe was so worried, Sam had already died once to save his brother, Gabriel couldn’t let him die again.
Gabriel knew that he wouldn’t always be around to pick Sam up when he fell.
Sam needed to be taught a lesson in cutting his losses.
Just like an angel’s love, an angel’s pride is a powerful thing. They do not like being told they were wrong, even in the smallest of ways.
When Sam stabbed Bobby in the back and begged for his brother, Gabriel was enraged.
He was trying to help Sam! Why couldn’t he see that?
Why couldn’t Sam see that these atrocities had been done out of love?
These atrocities.
 Oh no.
Gabriel left after that, left Sam alone.
It was the hardest thing he had ever done.
He wandered for a while, thinking about what he had done, until his path again crossed with that of the Winchesters.
Oh, how he wanted to tell Sam who he really was, but he couldn’t, not yet.
So, he waited, watched, bode his time
Until it was revealed on its own.
“They call me Gabriel”
Sam had never looked so disappointed.
Gabriel found Sam after that, away from Dean, away from Cas.
He talked.
He cried.
He begged Sam, this human, this eternal light, to forgive him, to love him even.
Gabriel didn’t know what he was really aiming for, he just couldn’t rest until Sam knew why he had done those things, why he had caused Sam such suffering.
Sam understood.
 And then it happened.
What Gabriel had been waiting for all of these cold, dark, sad millennia.
Love.
Togetherness.
Souls bound by an ineffable force.
It was magical, yet short-lived.
Gabriel should have known it couldn’t last.
 Soon, the demon found him.
Locked him in a cage like a dog.
Drained his life away.
And Sam, believing him dead, did not come.
“Please, won’t someone help me?”
It could have been years; it could have been centuries.
Gabriel wouldn’t have known.
He stopped trying to escape after a while.
Sam was probably dead now.
And if Sam was gone, what else did Gabriel have?
But then, suddenly, Gabriel was free again.
He was with Sam again.
It all happened so fast.
Gabriel could barely keep up.
The demon was dead, Gabriel was healthy,
But Sam and Dean just wanted to use him in their newest plot.
Use his grace.
He would have obliged, always happy to bleed, but he didn’t have any grace left.
So. Gabriel left.
Sam called out to him at night.
Pleading for his return.
“Gabe, please come back, I need you.”
An angel’s love never fades.
 “Fine, I’ll help.”
Soon Gabriel was with Sam again.
When Gabriel looked into Sam’s soul, just as he did those few, short years ago.
He saw strength.
He saw light.
He saw hope.
The man he loved was still alive, if a little bruised on the outside.
That was all that mattered.
 The team prepared to fight.
Sam and Dean were getting older and wiser.
Cas and Dean still had years of tension to work through.
Gabe had a fling with Rowena just to make Sam jealous, which worked.
Everyone was together again.
Gabe had never been so happy.
 Then came Michael.
The brother Gabriel loved so much, but different than before.
Then came Lucifer.
The brother Gabriel used to revere, still the same.
They fought.
People died.
Gabriel looked into Sam’s eyes and said his sweet, unspoken goodbyes.
“I’m sorry my love, but it seems I must go.”
Too quick the spark had burnt out.
 Pain, then Darkness.
While there are many different theories of what the Empty is like, not many angels or demons get it right.
They think you can only sleep.
While it is true, you can sleep, you can also observe.
A clear, glass wall meant to punish those with loved ones left behind.
Disgusting.
Still, Gabriel watched as Sam moved on.
Left Gabriel’s body in that awful place.
Angels can’t move on, their love is indestructible, unwavering, intransigent.
But Sam moved on.
Gabriel became obsessed with observing Sam, watching over him through the clear barrier between the Empty and the Earth.
Watching him eat, sleep, work cases.
Gabe knew it was creepy, but it was all he had left of the man he had died for.
He wished he could help Sam like he used to, but he was powerless.
Sam didn’t believe in luck so much anymore.
Gabe watched as years went by, and Sam all but lost his spark.
He was working too hard.
So many people had died.
Sam was on the verge of death, and Gabriel almost couldn’t bear to watch.
Until Eileen.
Eileen was the sassy hunter from Ireland.
Always cracking jokes that made even Gabriel laugh.
When Eileen came around, Sam smiled.
Oh, how Gabriel had missed that smile.
Still, he wished Sam was looking at him like that instead of her.
Gabriel became jealous of Eileen over time.
Wishing he was there with his true love, the man he had waited for for eons.
Sometimes, at his lower points, Gabriel would place his hand on the glass to cover Eileen’s face and pretend she was a bug that he could squash.
Pretending he could replace her.
Pretending everything could go back to how it was.
That was, until he looked, really looked at Sam’s face when he was with her.
Happiness.
That was all that Gabe saw.
Sam looked happier than he had in years.
Sometimes Sam looked even happier than he had looked when Gabriel had been with him on Earth.
 That’s when Gabriel screamed.
He screamed not at Eileen or Sam, but at all the rest of them.
At Chuck, Michael, Lucifer, Lilith, all of the demons and angels and monsters who had gotten in the way of happiness.
His happiness.
Their happiness.
Gabriel and Sam could have had years together. Happy, blissful years. If Sam were made immortal, they could have had EONS.
But no.
“Why couldn’t they have just let us be?”
To this day, he lies there, in front of the glass.
Gabriel, the fallen angel.
The angel who cared too much.
The one who loved and lost and loved ever strongly still.
Asleep, never to be woken again.

“Crazy Rich Asians” Review: Support This Movie So I Can Stop Being Angry
Tumblr media
Directed by Jon M. Chu
Starring: Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Michelle Yeoh, Gemma Chan, Awkwafina
“Crazy Rich Asians” might be the first film I’ve ever been nervous about seeing.
It wasn’t that I didn’t trust that director Jon M. Chu would properly represent Asian Americans in a way most Hollywood films don’t but I found myself worried not about whether I would like the movie but whether others would. You see, in the theater full of mostly Asian people I saw it with there was a row of five middle-aged white people right in front of me and my mind immediately went to the gutter thinking “will these people laugh at anything that isn’t a stereotype in this movie?”
Tumblr media
(White people be all like: “Why do Asians all look the same?”)
Obviously that’s an unfair assumption to make but Hollywood makes it for them all the time. Rarely producing films that give being Asian any nuance or depth beyond being smart, martial arts masters or more infuriatingly submissive enablers of a white protagonist over their own stories.
A part of me didn’t care about enjoying it so long as it made an impression on Hollywood and larger film-going audiences; I needed this film to succeed because it could mean so much more for representation and inclusion down the line.
Luckily, from what it looks like, the film is trending well and in the end managed to warm my cold dead heart with its whimsical rom-com charm, even if parts of it devolved into the predictable.
Based on the bestselling book by Kevin Kwan, “Crazy Rich Asians” follows the story of Rachel Chu as she and her boyfriend Nicholas Young travel to visit his family in Singapore for his brother’s wedding. Unbeknownst to her, Nick hasn’t been completely forthcoming about his family’s lifestyle and as it turns out he is part of the richest family in Southeast Asia. Now Rachel finds herself in a battle to establish herself in front of his matriarchal mother and prove to her that she’s worth it to Nick.
In writing this review over the last few days it’s been very hard to convey how I’ve felt about this film without going on an angry tangent about Asian representation as a whole in popular cinema. It’s pretty much impossible for me not to talk about it so I’m going to try to talk about this as briefly as possible before I get into the film itself and where it stands personally for me.
Tumblr media
(Me trying to avoid writing 10,000 words of pent up rage over the first couple drafts..)
There have definitely been better movies to come out, even in recent years, about the Asian/Asian American experience in the west and more than a few starring all Asian casts, writers and directors. Last year’s, much smaller film, “Gook” for instance gets much more personal about race and the ugliness of society.Even as far as comedies go “Seoul Searching” (which is on Netflix) is a funnier more relatable take on the issues and themes raised in this movie.
Tumblr media
(Also, if you didn’t know already, Justin Chon is a GREAT actor and needs to be in more movies. Or at least directing them.)
But as many in the media have pointed out already, this is historic in that it’s the first MAJOR film of this kind since “Joy Luck Club” and to finally have a film featuring this type of cast, director and story with big corporate backing is huge for representation whether you find the film underwhelming or not.
Over the last couple years, whitewashing has become a more recognized topical issue in Hollywood than ever before as Asian American audiences are speaking up more loudly about problematic casting and writing choices that Hollywood and apologists find all kinds of excuses for. Despite plenty of evidence to support otherwise that “bankable” stars don’t guarantee box office draws and that Asian Americans are the largest movie-going demographic per-capita in the country, Hollywood still will place relatively unknown white actors in lead roles on huge box office productions (look at the history of Hollywood trying to make Armie Hammer a thing) while simultaneously telling people like myself that people who look like me can’t be mainstream draws.
If for nothing else, cast more Asian Americans because it’s the right thing to do. The representation and inclusion is waaay overdue and if I have to hear “Just make your own movie” or “People from (insert Asian country here) don’t care” one more God damn time I will tear my fucking hair out! Kevin Kwan had to FIGHT to keep the role of Rachel Chu in this movie Asian and Asians from the mainland and Asians in America, or more broadly in the West, don’t have the same lived in experiences. Not even close!
Tumblr media
(Me failing often to maintain my decorum in polite company when these topics are brought up...)
One of the weirdest and most shocking revelations I had coming out of this film is that it was one of the only films I could recall seeing an Asian couple engaging with each other romantically in a Hollywood film for more than five minutes at a time ever. That’s. Fucking. Nuts!
I hope that with the commercial and critical success of this movie what’s left of the skeptics will come around finally (especially the ones in Hollywood) and stop with the dismissiveness. They probably won’t but hey maybe it’ll shut them up for a while at least…
Tumblr media
(It gets me through this shit...)
Anyways, now that I’m (mostly) done ranting, as far as the movie goes this is a solid date-night romantic comedy that I’m sure everyone regardless of background can enjoy.
“Crazy Rich Asians” is fairly predictable, albeit with some minor twists, but it still manages to tell a story we’re all pretty familiar with in a unique and often dazzling way.
The first thing that pops out immediately about this film is its visuals as the movie displays a wide array of hues and colors that make the cinematography and the literal richness of the plot truly pop. Its visual eye-candy in the best way, even if it comes across as shallow at times, and if nothing else will keep your eyes glued to the screen as the films moves through its lush scenery.
The soundtrack also helps highlight this between the pop songs and Cantonese renditions of them and director Jon Chu does a great job of splicing it all in together with this group of characters and making their performances even brighter through it.
The cast is the true strength of the film, of course, featuring multiple well-known Asian actors and actresses as well as a few newcomers, who I hope breakout in Hollywood through this film. Constance Wu is delightful, sassy and strong-willed as Rachel Chu and helps shed the stereotype of the meek and submissive Asian women in this story by standing up for herself and not hinging her existence on a man, even one she loves. On the other side of things Henry Golding looks every bit like a star in the making and is charming as Nick Young (even if he is a bit of a Gary Stu character) while also smashing stereotypes about asexuality and unattractiveness in Asian men himself. The two of them have great chemistry onscreen and make a very believable romantic couple and it’s hard, even for an eternal cynic like me, to not be like “Awwwww true wuuuuuv” while watching their romance play out.
Tumblr media
(*sniff* It’s so extra yet it’s so beautiful ;_;... *sobs at the extra-ness of the romance*)
There’s a hilarious cast of characters who support Wu and Golding alongside them as well. The always enjoyable Awkwafina plays up her role as the funny best friend very well, the Daily Show’s Ronny Chiang gets in some nice quips and Ken Jeong plays the perverted weirdo perfectly.
The indomitable Michele Yeoh does a great job as the menacing matriarch Eleanor Young but manages to keep it from getting too cliché as the writing adds some nice shades of grey to the character. Her love, even if misguided, is well acted alongside Golding and the two make for an interesting mother/son dynamic that I’m sure plenty will be able to relate to.
The real surprise star, and honestly the most interesting part of the story, actually comes from English actress Gemma Chan who plays Nick’s cousin Astrid. The sub plot involving Astrid and her husband sets up a unique and powerful message about the give and take in relationships and its reflection upon femininity and masculinity. Chan puts in a short but nonetheless thoughtful and sincere performance here and I look forward to seeing more of her in the sequel and hopefully other major film productions.
Tumblr media
(That look you give when someone tells you a film starring a dozen or so Asian actors and actresses can’t be a huge box office success)
The film doesn’t have many profound things to say otherwise, it’s again a fairly by the numbers rom-com with a heavy dosage of opulence porn and not to mention some problematic elements, but the one message I hope white audiences take from this film, other than everything I mentioned earlier *gets back on soapbox*, comes from Rachel’s mother at the very beginning of the film.
In the lead up to Nick and Rachel’s big Singapore trip Rachel’s mother warns her about what people of the mainland will think of her when they see her. She states that she may look Chinese and speak Cantonese but, pointing to her heart, they see her as American.
This speaks to a lot of what growing up in this country feels like sometimes for us Asian Americans. That despite many of us being three or four generations deep now in this country we’re seen as foreigners and people from “our country” see us the same way. It’s a deep struggle for our identities and the perpetual foreigner syndrome is a real issue for many of us. Yes, as adults it’s easier for us to shake these insults and micro aggressions but that doesn’t mean it’s still not fucking annoying. Hopefully when white film-goers see this scene they begin to understand that we are as much Americans as anyone else and that seemingly harmless but nonetheless insulting comments like “no, where are you really from” need to be done away with.
Tumblr media
(”Where are you from?”---->”Oh I’m from LA.”----> “No, I mean where are you from?”---> “Uhhh California?”----> “No where are you really from?”----> “The United States?...”----> “No where are you REALLY from?”--->*me^*)
I won’t stand here and tell you that Asian Americans have had it worse in this country than other minorities but stereotypes and poor cultural representation, or lack thereof, does contribute to a wide array of issues for us and hopefully this film helps hammer away those regressive viewpoints.
TL;DR “Crazy Rich Asians” is a good date movie and, if nothing else, support this movie so I can go on less rants about Hollywood shitting on Asian Americans.
It may be, at least on the surface, a pretty straight forward romantic comedy but its little nuances and unique commentary on this demographic of people (Even if it talks about a small section of it) makes it a film worth supporting.
Hopefully in the future this film will feel pretty ordinary as representation and inclusion become more accessible things for not just Asian Americans but for people of all backgrounds but until then this is a nice, waaaay past-due, coming out party for Asians across this country and abroad.
 VERDICT:
4 out of 5

*Me awaiting the inevitable “Well actually...” comments that’ll come from this review*

The Mark - Request - Part 2
Requested by anon: supernatural imagine where the reader is dating sam, but she has the mark of cain and she dies, so when she becomes a demon she nearly kills him and dean but after she's cured she's mortified with herself? you can tweak it for plot purposes if needed.
Pairing: Sam Winchester x reader
Word count: 4.206
Warnings: Violence, a tiny bit of angst.
A/N: Is this enough Sam fluff to make it up for turning it into a two-part fanfic? I hope it is.
Enjoy!
Tumblr media
| Part 1 |
Mooresville, Alabama wasn’t a tourist’s Paradise, but it was the best a demon could do without having the Winchesters on her back. How did that work? Well, no one would believe she was actually staying at a third class hotel in Mooresville, sharing a connected room with Crowley and spending long nights killing strangers and making deals.
The town was extremely small, but it was also the perfect hideout. (Y/N) and Crowley stayed at the one hotel in town, and spent their nights in the local bar, but (Y/N) would take breaks, driving to other towns around the area to make deals and satisfy her thirst of blood.
(Y/N) was a better demon than Dean Winchester could ever be. She had an easy tongue that sweetened the client’s ears, making it easier to seal multiple deals in just one night. (Y/N) was now like a soul harvester, collecting lives with her blade like a child collects flowers during spring. Crowley had never been prouder.
The Winchesters had looked for her in every possible place, and they obviously didn’t find a single clue. They had their ears out for news or a sign of a demon killing shamelessly, but (Y/N) was careful and she kept her profile low in spite of being a massive murderer.
“Maybe she left the country.” Dean suggested as he dropped his tired body over the plastic-like sheets that covered that cheap hotel’s bed.
“No, I’m sure she’s still here.” Sam insisted.
“Dude, she isn’t me, she doesn’t fear flying… She is smart and, demon or not, she will remain being smart. If I were her, I would’ve left…”
“Enough!” Sam interrupted, “She is not a demon, do not dare to say that. She died, OK? She is dead, but Crowley allowed one of his demons inside of her body and I want it back.”
“What for?” Dean inquired, “If she is dead like you say, her body being used like a puppet won’t…”
“ENOUGH!” Sam roared, “I want it back, she deserves a proper huntress’ funeral.”
“Sam.” Dean said, using the voice.
“No, don’t Sam me. I want her back, and that is final.” Sam fumed and then left the room. Dean let him take his time alone, knowing how hard it must’ve been for him to lose the woman of his dreams over a Mark. A Mark Dean should have been bearing, not her.
“Dude.” Dean called, peeking out of the room. Sam was lying on top of the Impala’s hood. “We’ve been looking for (Y/N) in places where (Y/N) would be.”
“Dean, I don’t want to talk about it.” Sam begged.
“No, hear me out.” Dean commanded, finally leaving the room, “(Y/N) is no longer in control of her own body. Therefore, we must look in places where she would never be.”
Sam’s eyes widened. Dean was right; they had been looking in the wrong places all along. They had to look for the places in which she would never because (Y/N) was not the one making choices anymore but rather the demon that was possessing her body.
-
“I heard certain pair of… hunters are after you.” Crowley spoke as he sat on the bar stool next to the one (Y/N) was using.
“They won’t get very far.” She reassured, and it sounded like she was trying to convince herself more than trying to convince Crowley.
“I don’t know, love.” Crowley muttered, “If there is something I’ve learned in the past few years is to never underestimate those denim-wrapped nightmares.”
“What are you saying?” She inquired, glancing at him bitterly.
“All I’m saying is that, if they happened to find you, they won’t stop chasing you so it would be better if you… Annihilated them.” Crowley spoke, taking good care of his words.
“Fine, if they come around I’ll kill them.” She snapped listlessly.
“Really?”
“Sure, anything to keep you from my back.” (Y/N) took a swig of her drink, which had a weird smell and was too dark to be healthy for a regular human being. “I told Sam to back off; if he doesn’t, he pays the prize.”
-
The bar was crowded, yet it wasn’t full. The town was too small to have too many drunken lads to fill the bar to its entirety, so it was easier to interrogate them all. Everyone recognised (Y/N), and some of them even confirmed to have heard her making deals with foreigners that spent the night in town.
(Y/N) knew they had arrived from the very first second they set a foot in town, so she made sure to stay hidden in her room until night. She had a plan, and it had to be done whether she liked it or not.
Part of bearing the Mark was the constant suffering, the pain, the sorrow… Become a demon had released her of, ironically, her own demons and she was willing to stay like that for evermore. However, since she had just transformed, she still had human “flaws”, like the fact that she felt butterflies in her stomach whenever Crowley brought up Sam to the conversation, or the empty feeling of not having him around. She knew those feelings would fade away with time but she also thought that, by killing Sam, those feelings would fade away more quickly.
She had to do it, only then she could be free.
-
(Y/N) waited for the brothers at the back of the bar. She had seen them interrogating everyone, even the town’s crazy man. The countdown had started, and in any second they would walk through the back door and find her.
“You don’t have to do this.” Crowley spoke as he appeared in front of her. “I can ask one of my demons to do the dirty work while we escape town.”
“Your demons always get killed.” She mocked, “No, when you want something to be done correctly, you have to do it yourself.”
“I will kill them, then.” Crowley suggested.
“No.” She stated, “I have to kill them, it’s my battle.”
“If they kill you…”
“I can’t die, remember?” She cocked an eyebrow. “Besides, they won’t kill me once they realise it’s me and not another one of your idiot demons possessing this meat suit.”
“It is a lovely meat suit.” Crowley mumbled, “Fine but don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
And with that being said, Crowley disappear, leaving (Y/N) on her own to fight the Winchester brothers.
The brothers took quite a while to leave the bar, but when they did (Y/N) was still fresh and prepared as if she had only been waiting five minutes. She hid the blade behind her back, crossing her feet to look innocent and had a sassy smirk on her face.
“It’s a nice bar, don’t you think? I mean, if you avoid the spoiled musk smell.” She joked as a greeting. The brothers instantly stepped in their manly-man poses.
“It’s not nice to steal dead people’s meat suit.” Dean spoke, using his mafia voice.
She laughed. “You think I stole this body? No wonder why it took you so long to find me.” She gestured with a free hand to her body, “It is all me, boys. My human soul turned into demon juice, and that is all.”
“Right, prove it.” Sam dared.
“During sex, you like me to use the…”
“Stop!” Sam interrupted, “I didn’t mean that.”
“Dude, how embarrassing is that?” Dean inquired with a disgusted look on his face.
“Very, don’t ask, I will not talk about it.” Sam replied.
(Y/N) cocked an eyebrow and took a few steps forward, making sure to keep both hands behind her back. The Winchesters recovered their attack poses and got on full alert mode.
“I think you know what’s next.” She chuckled.
“Yeah, we get your ass back home.” Dean replied.
“Dean, always so confident about your own capacities.” She mocked, “You won’t take me or my ass anywhere, that’s for sure.”
“(Y/N), if you cooperate, things will be easier for all of us.” Sam warned, using a soft voice.
“Sammy, who says I want things to be easy?” She inquired mockingly, “No, death is never easy.”
“Do you really think killing us will work?” Dean asked bitterly, “Sweetheart, by this time you should know that we always come back.”
“You are underestimating the power of the First Blade, Dean.” She finally showed them her weapon, which looked far more intimidating than before. Her eyes turned black, and the brothers remained still in shock, allowing her enough seconds to tackle Dean – he was her first victim.
She thought that, by killing Dean, Sam would instantly hate her; hence it would be easier for her to kill him after.
Sam had tried to push her away from his brother, but it only took one hand move to throw him out. (Y/N) lifted the big blade over her head, willing to kill for once and for all her brother in law. “Any last words?”
“Bitch.” Dean fumed, and (Y/N) tilted her head as a smug smirk grew on her face.
“I will hang your head on my wall, and that word will be under it in shiny gold so everyone knows you were always a bitch.” She hissed and let her hand fall with all of her strength down to chop his neck.
Someone held her arm, right before the blade could touch Dean’s throat. (Y/N) felt like her skin burned, and it was so painful she tried to jump away from whomever that was, allowing Sam to approach and bath her with holy water, which made her screech at the contact.
Dean stood up and trapped both of her hand with demon hand-cuffs, which burned her skin even more. Her eyes turned black again, and the emptiness of them made Sam’s heart clench with the thought that maybe, just maybe, she was too dark to be saved.
(Y/N) look back at the person who had held her: Crowley. He was blowing at his hand, which was also burned, because he had used one of the Winchester’s fancy tools to burn her, ignoring his own pain.
“TRAITOR!” She roared.
“No, it’s called being a business man.” Crowley corrected sassily, “You’re not on my side, and you lied about taking the souls you collected to Hell. You were keeping them for your own use, and that is something we can’t afford right now.”
“Demons lie, that is what we do.” She hissed.
“We lie to humans and angels, and other creatures. But demons don’t lie to other demons, especially not to their king. Monkey doesn’t kill monkey.” Crowley snapped.
“King? You are just a lucky salesman, Crowley. You will never be a king.” Her words were harsh, which made Crowley shiver.
“Do whatever it takes, but please get her out of my sight. If I ever see those black eyes on her again… I will kill her, and I will also kill you two dumbasses for letting her free.” Crowley threatened and disappeared.
-
The dungeon was cold and tedious for a demon. (Y/N) was sitting on the chair, with her hands, feet and chest tied to it, in the middle of a devil’s trap. The one lightbulb they had flickered for almost two hours after (Y/N) got there, and it eventually exploded. Sam and Dean changed it to another one, which somehow managed to stay on without flickering.
“Sammy, you don’t want to do this.” (Y/N) spoke as Sam filled a syringe with human blood.
“Don’t worry, we got your blood type.” Dean replied with a fake smile.
“What if I die?” She inquired listlessly, “Will Sammy boy live with the guilt of killing yet another girlfriend?”
“You are not my girlfriend.” Sam stated, “At least not right now.”
(Y/N) laughed in a low voice tone. “Sammy, we both know that’s not how you feel. You are overly sensitive, with strange fetishes, daddy and mommy issues, and so, so, so much envy of your big brother…”
Dean gave his brother a confused look. “Ignore her.” Sam begged.
“Don’t.” (Y/N) commanded, locking her eyes with Dean, “It’s true, Sam is jealous of you. Why? Because John did talk to you, and he didn’t kick you out; and because you did meet Mary, and because you did have a stable home for a few years until Mary died, and because you always got the girls and were always popular. He is jealous because you are the man he would like to be, but can’t.”
“Enough!” Sam roared, “Shut up, demon.”
“Oh, demon? Is that a nice way to call your girlfriend? It sounds more like a Shakespearean quote rather than a pet name, to be honest.” (Y/N) joked, “Alas, villain, keep that sharp object away from my skin.”
“That doesn’t even sound right!” Dean argued, “Have you actually read a single thing Shakespeare has written?”
“Have you?” She inquired.
“Yes, I do read.” Dean stated, walking forward and taking the syringe from his brother’s hands. Sam was still hesitant about doing the treatment on (Y/N). “It’s full of dick jokes.” And with that, he stabbed her arm with the syringe, emptying its content a bit too fast.
(Y/N) screeched loudly; her head fell back and she shut her eyes, her whole body tensed and her skin became pale. A tiny tear left her eye, which had turned black unconsciously. It took her a few seconds of heavy breathing to recover from the shot she had just been given.
“I will kill you, I WILL KILL YOU.” She threatened.
“Good luck with that.” Dean hissed and then dragged his brother out of the room.
-
Dean was the one to apply the first shots. Sam was incapable of seeing her suffering like that, and so he decided to stay at the library, constantly calling Castiel to ask him if they were doing the right thing.
Castiel was weak, and Sam could tell, but his desperation was such that he was willing to ask the angel to go if necessary. Castiel had a very strange way of comforting him, either with words of empty promises that he would save (Y/N) no matter what
Dean finally left the dungeon and joined his brother with two cold beers.
“How is she?” Sam asked instantly.
“She’s fine.” Dean said, and Sam didn’t buy it. “She is a bit unconscious now… The shots are too hard for her.”
“Do you think we should stop?” Sam mumbled.
“No.” Dean responded, “If she dies, she’ll come back as a demon, we basically have loads of chances to try different things.”
“She’s not a lab rat.”
“I know, but what else do we have?” Dean bit his lip, “I want her back as much as you do, she’s like a sister to me and you know I would give my life for her.”
“Then why did you let her take the Mark?” Sam inquired bitterly.
“Sam,” Dean breathed out, “she didn’t even ask, she just went there and took it, and I couldn’t stop her. Ask Cas, he knows what happened, and we both know he won’t lie to you about that.”
“If she dies…”
“She won’t, I promise, I will do whatever I can to keep her alive and cure her.” Dean promised.
Sam nodded and excused himself to go check on her. To his surprise, the dungeon’s door was open, and the chair was empty. Sam panicked at the view, knowing that (Y/N) knew the bunker like the palm of her hand and having her free was more dangerous to them than it was to her.
“She won’t go far, she’s too weak.” Dean reassured once Sam told him.
Both brothers took their guns and knives, splitting to cover more ground. Sam shut the bunker, which made (Y/N) chuckle -- it was all a game to her.
She had to be silent, locate both brothers and then attack them one by one while the other was far away enough not to interfere. She had to kill them for once and for all before they cured her, before they ruined everything she had built in that short time. After killing the Winchesters, she would go after Crowley and take his crown.
She enjoyed being a demon. It was free of suffering, and shitty stuff like so. True, she still had a few feelings left, but they weren’t that intense or important anymore. She wanted to rule Hell, she wanted to show the world for once and for all what she could do, that she wasn’t Sam Winchester’s pet, that she wasn’t hiding behind his shadow.
Why was a she getting thought like so? It was perhaps her new nature speaking, or the darkness she kept lock inside herself that was begging to be out. She wasn’t herself, and maybe she would never ever be herself again, but that was unimportant for her in that moment. She was focused on killing Sam and Dean Winchester.
“Hey, Sam, where are you?” She asked, using an innocent voice – her usual voice, before she got the Mark.
Dean heard her, she was closer to him, and although his heart clenched at the sound of her he knew it was a trap and that he had to let Sam know.
“Sam, Dean! Are you guys OK? What is going on?” She insisted, taking a peek inside each room she came across with. “Guys, I’m not feeling well, please come.” Dean had to stay strong, finding a way to hide for long enough to text Sam.
The man found a half open door and he slid inside, texting as fast as he could, while keeping an eye out on the door. “Don’t listen 2 her.” He texted and clicked Send right on time, for she took a peek inside that room too.
It was dark, too dark, and not even a demon or whatever she was then could see in that darkness. Dean kept his breath as her black eyes roamed the room. She was about to take another step in when Sam’s message ringtone sounded at the end of the hallway.
(Y/N) left the room instantly, walking to the opposite side of where the sound had come from. Dean released his breath and followed her, being careful enough not to be heard. She would go after Sam first.
“Sam, is that you?” She called, using the same innocent voice tone as before. “Sam, baby, it’s me.” She whined, “Please, don’t hide, I’m not feeling well, I think I need a doctor.”
Dean knew Sam would believe her unless he had read the message – which wasn’t likely – so he had to move fast.
-
Dean could see (Y/N) clearly, but she didn’t seem to notice him. Her eyes were all over Sam, who had lowered his weapon – even dropped it – at the sight of her. She had her regular (Y/E/C) eyes on, and her posture was different from the one she had as a demon.
“(Y/N).” Sam whispered.
“Sam, my love, it’s me.” She lied, and limped her way closer to Sam. Dean had to admit she was a great actress.
“(Y/N), I thought I had lost you.” Sam cried and took the remaining steps forward to wrap his arms around her. She hugged him, or so Sam thought because Dean could see her slowly taking his extra knife from his belt.
Dean had to do something, and he had to be quick before she stabbed his brother.
The knife was already in her hand, ready and in place to kill him. Sadly, she wasn’t that much of a demon to do it easily. Yes, she was still ambitious and willing to be the next Queen of Hell, but there was something stopping her. Self-consciousness, a cleaner soul, moral rights, you name it, (Y/N) couldn’t just do it.
“Dean, I know you’re behind me.” She chanted out of a sudden, “If you dare to attack… Your baby brother will suffer the consequences.”
Sam pulled away as much as he could, realizing that her eyes had turned black once again. His face fell into the sadness look (Y/N) had ever seen on him; he was hurt, he was disappointed, he was losing faith.
“You’re losing your skill, sweetheart.” Dean spoke as he walked from the hallway that was behind Sam. (Y/N)’s face turned into a confused look; she swore she had felt someone behind her, but maybe Dean was right, she was becoming human again.
“I can still kill you easily.” She hissed and tried to take a step forward to stab either one of the brothers – it didn’t matter anymore, she was pissed off.
Tried. A pair of strangely warm arms wrapped around her arms and body, keeping her from killing the Winchesters. There was something about the person who had stopped her that made her feel like vomiting her own dark soul.
“It’s over, (Y/N).” Castiel spoke in her ear, and as her eyes turned darker than before, his became blue as the sky, and in that tiny action the demon in which (Y/N) had turned suffered, roaring from the disgust that it caused her to be next to something so pure.
-
They had finished the treatment and that shot was the last one she would take. (Y/N) was not enough of a demon to stay trapped inside the devil’s trap, but she was now too weak to even consider escaping again.
Her hair looked dry, and her face was paler than ever, dark eye bags had grown under her eyes and her lips were parted and transparent. She was having a hard time trying to carry the weight of her own head. Sam was suffering for her, but he was decided to cure her no matter what.
“One, just one, I promise.” He whispered as the syringe entered her skin for the last time. Sam could see the marks of the other shots spread all over her arms, swollen and purple.
(Y/N) didn’t even bother in crying, or arguing, not even slightly complaining. She was too weak.
“Sam.” She whispered as her eyes became whiter, and her face recovered the innocence she had lost. Sam’s heart melted at the image, for he had achieved his goal and brought the love of his life back from the darkness.
“(Y/N), I…” He couldn’t finish, her head fell to the front, and he had to hold her from falling off the chair. She had fainted; she didn’t have enough energy to stay awake. The things she had done and lived as a demon were charging the consequences now.
-
Her eyes opened slowly, and it took her a few blinks to get a focused view instead of the blur in which she had woken up to. Sam and Dean were standing by her bed, and they looked tired and utterly concerned.
“You look like shit.” She joked. Sam and Dean flinched at the sound of her voice and focused on her.
“How are you feeling?” Sam asked within seconds.
“I feel like shit.” She replied listlessly. Sam nodded and Dean spayed her with Holy Water, which got no result on her, “I’m me now, thank you very much.”
“I just need to be sure.” Dean defended.
“I promise, there’s no more… Whatever I was.” She mumbled, “Speaking of which… I’m sorry I… I can’t even say it out loud but uh… I just…” A tear slipped her eyes, “I would never… I…”
“Hey, calm down.” Sam whispered, “It’s fine.”
“No, it’s not!” She cried, “I tried to kill you!” the simple word made her shiver, as she covered her mouth with a shaky hand instantly. She shook her head, allowing another tear to slip.
“No harsh feelings, sweetheart.” Dean promised sitting by her side. “You’re not the first to try and kill us, and it wasn’t even you-you.”
“But still…” She muttered, slowly letting her mouth free of her hand, “I shouldn’t even be…”
“Don’t finish that sentence.” Dean commanded, “No Winchester says that on my watch.”
“Winchester?” She inquired with a very low volume.
“You’re still family, sweetheart.” Dean spoke, “And because you’re family, you get a huge ass recovery meal.” With that being said, Dean left the room, allowing his little brother some time alone with her.
“Sam…”
“No, no, don’t say it.” He begged, climbing the bed she was in and adopting the big spoon role. “The important thing here is that you are back, and that nobody will rest until you are free of that Mark.”
“I’m sorry either way.” She muttered, “I couldn’t control myself, I felt this need to…”
“But you didn’t, not even when you had the chance. You didn’t kill me, (Y/N).” Sam said and left a soft peck behind her ear. He could feel her sobs over his chest, for her back was turned to him. His arms were around her waist and their legs were tangled.
“I loved you, I love you, and not even the demon soul could stop me from loving you.” She confessed.
Sam tightened his grip around her waist, showering the back of her neck with soft kisses. “I love you too.”
“In spite of the murder attempt?” She whispered.
“In spite of it all.”
