You know why I love Zoya? Because in a society where us girls aren't allowed to be bad, to be tough, to be unforgiving without someone making us feel guilty, having characters like her, characters who defy those stupid enough to tell them what they're supposed to be, it's an honour.

Bellona it's one the Roman deities of war. Bellona was a personification of the most violent aspect of war, but someone who the Romans prayed for victory to. It was in her temple where they held the war counsels. It's in her temple where war was declared, by throwing a spear onto the land "designated" as enenmy; and where the victorious soldiers were received.

Zoya is a little bit like that. She's somewhat unpleasant at times. She can be violent. She can be intimidating. She can be terrifying. And you know what? That's completely fine. Zoya is a born leader, one of the best warriors and someone fiercely loyal to her friends and beliefs. Therefore, she's the best person to command an army.

Sometimes, it's good to have an armour.

Fun TOA scenario:

Imagine Apollo in his Lester form hiding in the box seats of Carnegie hall along with Meg, Will, Reyna, and Nico while their enemies are among the audience.

And of course, for such occasions, formal clothing is a must!

Nico and Will wear tuxedos made from the finest fabrics, generously paid for by Hades. Meanwhile Reyna dons herself in a stunning dress gifted by Lady Diana, who cares for her like a mother more tangibly than Bellona ever could. Last but not least, Meg and Apollo wear matching outfits that costed them a cryptic and infuriating encounter with Aphrodite; a dark green dress shirt and slacks for the ex-god, and a floral frock embroidered with a patch of Peaches for the child of Demeter.

And picture this: Reyna fixing Nico's tie because he never learned how to and patting his cheek when she's done, then Will tugging that tie later on during the concert to pull him into a kiss.

It's a sweet moment, until Apollo whistles.

The two jump apart, flushing red, because what the fuck Dad? but it turns out Apollo wasn't even looking at them. He had whistled in astonishment right after the star singer hit a particular note.

And promptly alerted the enemies of their presence too. Gods. Meg pinches the bridge of her nose and Reyna is already pushing herself past the boys, getting ready to jump off the box to hunt their enemies down. Apollo smiles awkwardly.

"Haha, whoops?"

Ok I have an insane idea for a God of War sequel.

You know how the Roman Gods were basically the Greek Gods with a new coat of paint? And how Athena is still alive?

What if Athena spread worship of the Greek Gods in Rome, and brought them back as the Roman Gods, they'd be very similar, yet different. The only one being the Greek version is Athena, calling herself Minerva.

She still wants to kill Kratos, and with more worship, the gods become more powerful, hence Rome's exceptional expansionism to get more worshippers. But here's the kicker, she needs an ace up her sleeve, so she Brings Calliope back and turns her against Kratos and raising her as a weapon.

So Calliope becomes Bellona, the Roman Goddess of War and Destruction Out on Revenge against Kratos and her brother Loki

That's the gist of it, but it's been bouncing in my head since forever.

Other points of interest:

The Roman Gods aren't actually evil like the Greek Gods, they are just being lead by the nose by Athena/Minerva.

Jupiter/Zeus exists, and everyone acts like he's the leader, but its Athena actually.

Since we know Tyr travelled to other places and met other gods, perhaps the conflicts starts with the Romans expanding to Egypt, and their gods coming to Tyr for help.

GOD IMAGINE THE ANGST OF CALLIOPE MEETING ATREUS, WHO GOT TO BE RAISED BY KRATOS.

The three way tie of Bellona/Calliope wanting to Kill Kratos, Atreus not wanting to kill his sister but willing to protect his dad, and Kratos there like 'kids please stop fighting' and more than happy to die if her daughter wishes.

Of course Calliope will eventually join them, specially after she sees how her dad changed and that Athena is just using her.

It's dumb but I love the idea of both Kratos' kids having 2 names Loki/Atreus and Bellona/Calliope.
