Hello Writeblr! My name is Chessur, and since I’m coming off a long hiatus, I thought now would be a good time to reintroduce myself! I’m 23, a trans gay boy, and I write a variety of fantasy fiction! I spend an inordanite amount of time crying over the web-serial Worm and Netflix’s She-Ra. I also have a billion pictures of my two cats to share. 

A bit about me ;;

* My stories tend to have a pattern of “we won but at what cost?” endings, so expect a lot of angst from my stuff and know that no character is safe from death * I write a mix of YA and NA stories * I have several WIPs in the works, and I write short stories as well * I use my likes as a bookmark function, to keep track of things I want to queue at a later date. I often forget to clear them out for weeks at a time and will often add things to my queue months after they were posted. sorry about that. Just know that if I’ve liked it, it will be reblogged at some point lol

But as Vaísa recovers more of her memories of her first life, she leads them down increasingly more reckless paths in an effort to keep history from repeating itself. ** The Siren King ** YA, high fantasy || A magicless, homeless thief, Nera never expected to amount to anything. Then the queen’s prophet declared them to be a vital part of protecting the kingdom’s future, and Nera is sent on a quest to save everyone from a threat they know nothing about. ** Legacy Burning ** NA, thriller/horror || When the more people that knows about the enemy means the enemy appears all the faster, how are you supposed to fight them? When your fight seems impossible, how do you deal with the stress? A monster of cosmic proportions is coming, and Meliora isn't sure how her Pantheon is supposed to be enough to stop him. Kaiguo was supposed to be dead. By some fluke ( or magic? ), he is now a shadow of himself, and begs Fenghuang to give him the antidote to reverse the poison. What he doesn't know is that he's getting tangled up in her nefarios schemes.

LIN MEIDAO

WRONGED, ACCUSED, DEAD

Meidao was just another healer. Subjected to the losing end of Fenghuang's plan, she is wrongly accused of poisoning an official and sentenced to death.

CHEN RUIHUA

VENGEFUL, ANGRY, ABOUT TO LOSE HER LIFE

When her best friend, Meidao, is wrongly accused of poisoning the official Kaiguo, she vows revenge on the person that made it happen — Fenghuang. What she didn't plan for was to discover Fenghuang's secrets.

WIP Intro

↳ Elysian Falls

Summary.

ONE REBELLION TO TOPPLE A KINGDOM. ONE CONQUEST TO RULE THE WORLD. ONE GROUP TO SAVE THEM ALL.

Verena and Andre Orleaux are the children of the King and Queen of Elysia. The only problem? They don't agree with the way the kingdom is run, which immediately counts them as rebels. But are they?

Caelan Hufort is a rebel, leader of one of the factions. The Kingdom of Elysia has taken away their parents from them. It will not take away their sister too. They will do anything, anything at all to protect her and get their vengeance.

Insensia is part of the fae, banished from Faine, the planet of the fae. They want to return to their homeland and go back to the way things were. Easier said than done. They travel the Kingdom of Elysia, looking for a way back in.

Astra Bellerun and Lysan Charr have been a happy pair for years. When Astra and Lysan are exiled to Kielya due to her being an Untalented, she suspects foul play, and the ever-distant Lysan appears to be hiding something of epic proportions.

Hello friends! Do you like short stories? Do you like reading stories of various genres and lengths? Do you want to read short stories before anyone else and provide your thoughts on them? Then do I have a deal for you!

Having been introduced to the fact that Tapas hosts novels as well as comics, I have decided to start putting my short stories up on there under the title and cover here, A Fate That Befell Me. And since I know better than any that the first draft of my stories might not always be the best, I would like to enlist some help from some lovely people! All I’m looking for is for you to read the story and give me your thoughts - what you liked, what seemed flat, what you thought did or didn’t work. 

Some notes on what you can expect from the stories:

-- Stories will vary in length, but all will be 5k words or less -- Stories will be of various genres, but you can expect fantasy and contemporary to feature most often -- All stories will feature content warnings with them, but you can expect violence and death to account for most of those warnings

Now as for how I plan for this to work:

-- I plan on releasing 1-2 stories a week, I do not expect everyone who volunteers to beta to read every story I plan on putting up -- I’m currently settling up a discord server where all of this will be centralized -- When I have a story ready for beta-ing, I’ll put up a short description, and anyone interested in reading it can react with an emoji and I’ll send them over a google drive link to a copy of the story -- beta readers can either leave notes right on their doc copy or in the server, where each reader will have channels only they and I can see for privacy -- beta readers can beta for as many or as few stories as they like, it’s totally up to you! -- because of this, I’m not going to limit how many beta readers I’ll take on, and you are, of course, free to leave the server and quit beta-ing for me at any point!

excerpt time!

Asena finally got herself to revise her prologue so here is proof that Asena did things.

Orynn hates the way her Crown perches primly on her head as she gets ready for yet another meeting, the unforgiving metal digging into her skin. She frowns at her reflection in the mirror and runs a comb through her hair, her fingers occasionally dancing over her compad screen to check for messages. A part of the Crown's magic, it has assumed the position most comfortable with her, yet she feels anything but. The ongoing Night War has sapped her and the Council of Stars of all their strength, and the only thing she can think of is to hang on a little while longer, to survive.

Survive. The idea is laughable, to her at least. Orynn had been a lowly mortal, just one lucky enough to escape the ruins of Earth with her family. They had settled in for no more than five years when the War started, and a parade was held to find the first Queen. The memories flow through her mind like a raging river, gaining speed as she recalls the chaos. When the Crown emitted a glow unlike any other as the parade passed her apartment block. Being surrounded by people on all sides as she was Crowned and whisked away to the grand Palace of Stars. Dressed up in clothes befitting her new title by the Royal Tailor. She had no magic to call her own, but could invoke the Crown's in the direst of times.

Orynn sighs at the memory and straightens her dress, smoothing out the creases in the fabric. Taking a deep breath, she leaves her chambers and makes her way to the hidden room door a few hallways over. Pushing it open, it reveals a plain corridor lined with simple marble, a stark contrast to the sweeping blue and silver tones outside. She hears the muted voices of her Council of Stars as she treads softly to the second, less richly decorated door, the first already closing with a small click. She pulls on the simple handle, and the Council hastily rises to bow to her.

j, jam and other things

sickly sweet jam fills up a jar, sticky sweet jam that is just barely holding the bread together like you just barely holding on to the seams of your life seams that are about to split anytime soon even with your best efforts why does the jam bother why do you bother

maybe you bother because you have nothing else you can do maybe the jam bothers because what other purpose does it have in life?

A Quick Introduction

Andre is a softie and won’t hurt anyone without valid reason, but is also rather good at a sword. ( You might argue that he’s better, but then you watch him spar with Verena, and you realise maybe not. ) He is very gay, he opposes the ruling of Elysia, he is also very tall for some reason, ( totally not bc I like my characters to be tall ahahahhha ) also did I mention he gets a lil doggo.

i saw you on the street one day and you were petting someone else's dog it was raining and you still stopped to show another being love and maybe i fell in love with you

but maybe it was when i saw you again three days later helping someone pick flowers i don't even know why you were helping but you were and, god, you looked so pretty

and maybe it was then that I realised maybe I didn't love you but maybe I wanted to know you look beyond the dog and the flowers see into your heart, and let you see into mine

in that case let it be that one day we shall meet again and we can talk and i can learn who you are and then we can laugh together and you can see my heart and see that i have longed to know you since the day with the dog

but I guess before then i'll keep walking.
