okay so after @greatspacerace mentioned in their post something along the lines of how Kevin should've been a lanky, greasy kid who would later use his powers to be strong, I went back to see his intro episode.
And while watching I realized what they were talking about. Kevin is weak.
And i noticed he's not exactly a killer. When those guys arrive, his first instinct was to run away, not fight back.
He didn't reach out to the many arcade machine to suck in energy and electrocute them.
He could've though , very easily. In fact he could've killed them all a long time ago. But he didn't.
Pretty sure you don't have to be physically tough to electrocute someone.
So what I'm saying is that yeah Kevin was stealing and doing small petty crime ,but he never crossed the line of life and death.
Yeah he talked all tough in this scene,
but you can see the relief on his face when Ben saves him.
He knows he had no chance, he knows he's gonna get beat up. And he made no effort to use his powers on them. Not even a little bit. He was smart and sensible to know his limits, unlike later on when he would keep attacking Ben even though there was a very small chance he could actually win against him.
I wanna headcanon that Kevin knew he couldn't win against Ben either later on, but he kept attacking him because as a mutant what else was he supposed to do? He couldn't change back to human, he couldn't really hide away somewhere.
Having a goal to kill Ben might as well kept him sorta sane.
Kevin was not insane on power intially, he was just a lonely kid.
And this smile on his face seems genuine, like someone finally stood up for him. He's happy.
My theory is that it was being around the omnitrix is what made him lose control over his powers and common sense. It was the watch that messed with his head and drove him to wanting to crash those trains.
I'm not saying Kevin didn't want to do all the things he did, what I'm saying is that the energy from the omnitrix amplified those thoughts to a 1000 %.
Look if Kevin was crazy , he wouldn't have used his powers to get money for Ben at the arcade. Why would he be nice? If anything he would've kept the money for himself.
He didn't have to show Ben where he lived either.
He was a kid who was excited someone finally wanted to be his friend. The downside was that he might've slowly been subconsciously absorbing the watch while spending time with him, which caused him to lose control.

What would happen if Rook meet Big Chill’s babies? More importantly how would Ben explain it? XD
He knows. Probably he researched it when he was at the Plumber's Academy or Mrs Tennyson told him about it.
Rook would ask all the time to meet Ben's babies. Ben would accept, it would be an awkward and embarrassing moment for Ben. Rook would be in awe and probably he visit regularly the Big Chill babies without Ben knowing. Rook would make jokes about this to Ben sometimes.
