10. Hanging out with little Inui, this is just so cute! Love that he was a role model for him.

9. Telling Mikey about Shinichiro's time leaps, pretty sure he had good intentions with this. Also him taking the time leaps seriously and believing Shin shows what a good friend he is.

8. Getting Koko and Inui back together, ok he definitely didn't do this on purpose but him fighting Inui is what caused Koko to finally pick Inui over Akane. So a win????

7. Trying to cheer Shinichiro up after Mikey's death, this may not have been the best way but at least he tried.

6. Saving Takeomi from South and fighting South, he was impressive here, love his fighting style.

2. Training Senju, along with Benkei Wakasa was the one helping her in their gym. She definitely seems to fight like Wakasa so seemingly took some inspiration from him. Along with Benkei he also seemed to be there for her and was one of the first members in her gang.

1. Being one of the first gen black dragons, he was in the gang that reached the top. Not only that but a gang with great reputation. We really don't know a lot about the first gen but it's obvious they did great things.

wow i really needed to think about this hahaha this was so harddd

1. forfeiting during the survival battle finale in fusion

everyone knows this scene, this scene is iconic. it shows how much kyoya cares about leone, that he has priorities that lie outside of winning every battle, it humanizes him so much, not just to the audience but also to gingka & co. who are just flabbergasted by his actions here. really really good, maybe my favorite one

2. his first meeting with benkei

let's set aside all shipping here, me loving this scene has nothing to do with me shipping kyoben. it's just the fact that even though kyoya defeated benkei with ease from the get-go, he was still impressed maybe even delighted to have found such a tenacious opponent that challenged him again and again. i love how much kyoya loves it lol

3. the damian fight in masters

i love to see my faves get hurt, it's true, i'm not apologizing. the fight against damian is so so good. the way kyoya jumps into hades' gate of his own free will and then endures so much abuse from kerbecs only to stand his ground moments later and taunt him with "that was nothing" DGAGHLSG fucking yes badass as hell

4. kyoya figuring out that hyoma is fucking with the group to keep them from entering koma village

when i first watched that scene i remember thinking that kyoya is super smart which up until that point i hadn't exactly realized. i love watching him get suspicious and then his triumphant smirk when he reveals what he knows. smug little bastard, i adore him.

5. meeting tobio in fusion

the whole episode makes me so happy, the way kyoya immediately has some kind of understanding of tobio's character, then their battle, and then emerging from the experience with that mutual respect. i cant stop grinning whenever i get to that episode in fusion. tobio giving kyoya a lollipop at the end. yESS THEY ARE FRIENDS

honorary mention for kyoya's dramatic ass with his dramatic entrances in literally every season: in fusion before infiltrating the dark nebular castle, in masters swooping in at hades city on top of a bus (he actually makes all of team wildfang have a dramatic entrance here 😭), and then in fury shooting an arrow with a challenge at gingka and then arriving in a boat surrounded by fog

another honorary mention for the ryuga fight in battle bladers. similar reason as the damian fight, i love seeing him get hurt like that but he also has some pretty badass moments in there. amazing fight, so cool to watch, shish-kebab-ed kyoya has a special place in my heart

Favorite MFB fics:

Boy was this not an easy question to answer. I’ve been in this fandom for a very long time, so I’ve read many MANY fanfics! In fact! The MFB fandom was my first fandom ever, it’s how I discovered fanfiction at age 13! Another funfact: many MANY fanfics I loved were deleted many years ago. So, I will go with what’s left!

Choosing my favorite fics was a toughie but I did my best to compile them in this answer! (I put links in all the titles, so you just click on them if you want to check them out!)

Life at the WBBA: Written by my lovely long time friend Liv aka Ollie! This fanfic is pretty much a lot of one-shots about the legendary bladers living at the WBBA, this fic eventually inspired my Adoption AU! So…If you want to see the OG, read this!

Almost Got 'Im: Also written by my beloved friend! Based on the iconic episode of Batman the Animated Series, the villains of the show reunite for a poker night while discussing how they almost beat Gingka. Spoilers: None of them did.

How to Make a Successful Match in Only Three Phases: This fanfic is something the lovely Liv actually wrote for me back in the day! As many of you know, I actually came up with the Yuki/Motti ship, and I’ll be honest, I thought I would get kicked out by the fandom. But instead Liv reached out to me and told me they had been inspired to write this thanks to one of my fics! This story is Benkei being a matchmaker, need I say more??

A Season Of Festivities: Now we go to another absolute legend! JuniperGentle aka Pippin! Their fanfics were always an absolute delight and this one is one of the most heartwarming ones! An anthology of MFB characters celebrating their winters holidays! Your fav character probably has a chapter, so give it a try!

Phosphorus: THIS FIC OMG! Okay, so, it’s still unfinished BUT GOSH IS IT GOOD! It’s an AU where Tithi is the one that follows Ryuuga around instead of Kenta!

Kenta's Imagination: This is one of the first fanfics in English I’ve ever read, and frankly, the concept of Kenta playing pretend is timeless!

 Underappreciated: Ever since the old fanfic days, Madoka would get the short end of the stick thanks to weirdos writing hate fics about her like there was no tomorrow. HOWEVER, there were a few good writers that wrote nice fics featuring her. I think this is my favorite, it’s simple, adorable, and it explores her character nicely!

Yu and Kenta's Scavenger Hunt: Literally what the title suggests! The sillies in a scavenger hunt!

The Best Nickname: Hands down THE BEST old fanfic that explores Yu’s and Tsubasa’s friendship. Tsubasa ponders about why he is the only one Yu never gave a nickname to! But little did he know, he has one. Yu is just secretive about it.

What Makes Her Different: Okay, so this one is a bit personal. This was the very first fanfic in English I read by myself without google translator. I was still struggling learning the language, but I loved the few things I understood about this fic, so I would read it over and over until I managed to fully understand it! It’s an abandoned fanfic (the writer had an incident with their old computer and could never finish it). It’s about Madoka suddenly getting sick and her friends taking care of her because she always looks out for them. It might be incomplete but it’s sweet!

As I was writing this list, I realized that most of the fics I like from AO3 are already on your fanfic list, so I decided to not add them. I hope you like this little list of recommendations!

To answer you another question, it is very hard to choose because I love most of the fics I’ve written.

However…I think I would have to go with five fanfics:

The Backdoor: I cannot express how much fun I had writing this. I loved coming up with the bits of Beyblade history, including details from Zero G, and having Yuki and Motti go through this little adventure! I am also pretty sure this was one of the first fics I wrote after I got back into the MFB fandom after many years. Thanks to a silly series of events on Tumblr, I met a lot of wonderful people in the fandom that I’m glad to have in my life!

So a Few Villain Kids Walk Into a Youth Group and...:

Writing this was such a challenge, but I am so happy I managed to finish it! I been having a lot of headcannons about the cult of Nemesis for a long time and this fic is just the tip of the iceberg! I loved writing Johannes dealing with group therapy and having to face the fact that he has friends.

 They Are My Boys:

When I wrote this fic I was a bit scared of sharing this AU with the world. But the fact that it was received so warmly just encouraged me to keep writing!

I'm Not Nice!:

So…Writing this one was a surprise even for me because I have a confession to make…I can’t stand Kyoya. But something about writing a fanfic with everyone dunking on him and his bad boy persona was so fun!

And finally…

The Drawbacks of Being Raised in an Isolated Temple:

So, writing this fic took me a lot of work because I had to talk to a lot of people about some questions I had to make this fic work, and the amazing support I got from those friends made me realize how much I love to write friendship and found family. I loved writing the friendships and dynamics in this fanfic and then the reception was so overwhelmingly positive, I was ecstatic!

There is another reason why this fic means a lot to me, it’s a bit personal but let’s just say that it brought something back to my life and I couldn’t be more thankful!

This scene is fucking iconic and than it came to me: the majority of the cast of tokyo rev would be so fucking mad they would take back the "we should break up" because it didn’t go there way 😂🤣

Here's the way I see this going down in a nice tiered list which roughly equates to most to least likely to react strongly to an indifferent partner during a breakup sksksks

Inupi loves Koko so much and understands him so well. Even after two years of separation, he immediatly sees that Koko is not happy, whatever what koko was saying to him. (But at least this Koko will not become Bonten!Koko, who is alone and miserable in a life where he does what he hates, because they finally spoke and apologizes to each other)

Bonten is superficially a happy timeline, it starts with Pah's wedding, everyone seems happy with their lives, but it is an illusion. Of course it is undeniably happier that the previous timelines, but it's not perfect as it may seem. When I saw the Bonten's member I was saddened because it was clear what Mikey had sacrificed to arrive at that point (and there was no come back)

Bonten!Koko has been separated 12+ years from Inupi and, differently from the current timeline that it is developing in these chapters, I have reasons to believe they never saw each other again (because the moment they interacted, we saw how Inupi was ready to risk everything for Koko, realizing Koko was deeply unhappy) . I think Bonten!Inupi would have done everything for Koko as well, but so many years have passed, things were changed and he probably just accepted the situation. Life goes on, just like Mikey's friends accepted that Mikey removed himself from their lives.

We have seen during all the story how attentive to Koko Inupi is, he has always understood Koko's internal doubts and conflicting feelings for him, Akane and the whole situation, and, despite the fact he dislike patience, he is very patience and understanding of Koko's feelings.

Inupi is always very blunt as well, it's a thing I really appreciate and what Koko needed as well. He later reminds him he can live without thinking about Akane.

"Are you happy?!" was a rhetoric question, I think no one that ever paid attention to the story thought Koko was happy in KMG (and in Bonten). But of course, Koko here is not ready yet.

His expression is so fond when he says "dumbass" to Inupi, because he knows Inupi is right and he is not happy, deep down he knows he can live without regrets for the past (it's not his fault for the fire!), that Inupi will always be by his side if he only allows himself to be happy, but he still has not accepted it yet. Also, his eyes are so empty after he says that betting on Mikey is the best option, he's trying to convince himself. And then we have this iconic panel

Here he is being honest. He's genuinely glad Inupi choose Takemitchy and left the gang/crime life, for him it's enough that Inupi is safe and living an honest life. He doesn't consider himself worthy of that life and he doesn't want to condemn Inupi to the walk the same path, that's why he tries his best to stay away from Inupi (it was honestly hilarious but also sad how Koko tried to run from Inupi before Waka and Benkei arrived and unintentionally give Koko the right occasion to betray KMG. Thanks Waka and Benkei, I guess??)

I mean, back to Koko, I think he is aware he can be happier, potentially, but he's punishing himself, he's being stubborn, he said it himself, thinking he can't be nothing else that the wallet of criminal organizations, while trying to protect Inupi.

I like to think that, in those 2 years separated from Inupi, Koko had the time to realize a lot of things, maybe admitting them to himself unconsciously, but his first priority is always to protect, he wasn't ready to leave that life, he doesn't think about his own happiness. Once again it's Inupi that has to call him out on that, that triggers Koko to really think about the whole situation and, guess what? Koko's happiness made Inupi happier as well.

MADOKA: so powerful, so cool and clever and aaaa I love her sm

definitely one of my faves ever. I know I said it a lot but her laptop scanning and battle explanations were like the highlights of the show for me!! Also the scene where she enters the survival battle with Yu and Kyoya ?? iconic behavior, it was awesome!! I really like her pink jacket in fusion, I really wish she got more screentime and storylines centered around HER. It's like that with a lot of characters and even more so with the girls of the series but Madoka appears in almost every episodes but she very rarely gets to shine and that makes me sad :( I know other people talked about it better than I did but yeah

also the goggles, very nice, makes me think of Hay Lin from the W.I.T.C.H and that's awesome. Also yeah I blasted her with my nonbinary ray, madoka non binary true and real

Kenta the sweetest of boys: he's just he's so nice and so pure and aaaargh!! his role in fusion is really cool and I love to see his evolution with bey battles during the whole series, I think he is the character whose training and improvement shows the most how far he's come!! I love that, he doesn't give up on becoming better and that's really nice, he wants to keep having fun with his friends :(( And he was done so dirty in masters, he was put on the sidelines and that really sucked, I liked this season but man,, Kenta :(

But then I liked how once again he got put aside in Fury but it resulted in him having one of the best plots in the season/entire show!! His dynamic with Ryuga is really cool, although I would have liked to see more of the two together and learning to tolerate and understand each other :(( like at first before watching fury, based on the fandom posts I saw I thought they acted nicely and like friends towards the end but nope ryuga just pushed him to the ground :') i didn't find that scene very touching like I was led to believe, disappointed but not surprised.. Anyway Kenta is an awesome character, I know he's not the protagonist but his journey really is one of the best in the show and more people should appreciate him. His dynamic with Gingka: Awesome, lovely, wholesome, can be a little angsty if you think too much about it

with Benkei: awesome, love how he's a big part of Benkei's character development and their back and forth

with Madoka: cute, love it, i imagine them cooking together

underrated: his relationship with Sora is very good too, I love how he's the level-headed one and we see how much of gingka's personality and values he got from him it's very sweet

I love his bey, it's one of my favourite and I'm really really happy because I have it :D the colours are just *chef's kiss*

Also he looks 8 and travels alone in fusion and fury?? in what world-

Little my!!! Really like her, she's funny and feral and really a good addition to the moomin family. I love how she was canonically adopted, and just does whatever she wants all the time. I want to carry her in a handbag and she'd totally fit and fall asleep in it

And also her dynamics with other characters are just the best, my favourites are with Sniff, Moominmamma, Moomin and of course Snufkin. The feral siblings are just the best and they even do vandalism together, I love them

ooh I love this question! I like most of them! My favorites are probably a bit basic though haha

Merlin/Lancelot my beloved <3 this is probably my favorite play pairing just because there's so much to it 😩 I like to think of them as two souls forever bounded together by fate, even if they hate it (Not sure if this counts as a "play pairing", but I also like Lancelot/Tsuzuru!)

Mercutio/Tybalt. Their swordfight in Mankai Stage changed my life. The swordfight is my favorite scene from the original play by Shakespeare, as Mercutio is iconic and petty. So I'm glad A3! does it justice!

Shigehito Futami/Kubota. I think their jaded life views could mesh well in a scene. I'd like to think they meet in some bar somewhere. It's very interesting to me how they both share the character trait that they smoke 🙊 (they share a cig Soul Eater Spirit-and-Stein-style)

I think Lancelot/Luke could be really cute! With Lancelot's chivalry and Luke's social awkwardness.

Special shoutout to Benkei/Itaru. Act 10 spoilers! but when Itaru said that his favorite character in his game was Benkei and Tsuzuru was cast as Benkei, I absolutely lost my mind. ittz crumbs jumpscare.

There are others I think are cute, but they don't hit as hard as the ones above. Also, I'm not very familiar with Last Planet or Moon Traveler yet, so I don't know about their characters in there.

Let's hope that the Tsuzuru and Itaru lead play will add to this list🤞

Shinichiro Sano top 10 moments!

10. Picking up Sanzu from juvie, Sanzu had no one else at this point so I'm sure he was appreciative of this. It's just another example of Shinichiro being a good guy.

9. Stopping the gang war between Wakasa and Benkei, we still have no idea how this happened exactly but whatever Shinichiro did it definitely worked. Not only did he stop a war which probably would've caused a lot of chaos but he's responsible for the close friendship Wakasa and Benkei ended up having.

8. Doing his best to make Emma feel welcome. It seems pretty clear the minute Shinichiro saw Emma he was in big brother mode, smiling and making jokes to try and make her feel better and vowing to make her smile.

7. Giving up his career and dedicating his life to Mikey in the first timeline. Shinichiro literally did everything he could to help Mikey and make his life more comfortable, even if it took it's toll on his own health.

6. Being kind to Inui and spending a lot of time with him. Poor Inui had lost his sister, seemed to have parents who were busy and his only friend was busy with money. He definitely needed someone and Shinichiro seems to have filled that role for him. We don't know a lot about their friendship exactly but it clearly meant a lot to Inui.

5. Wanting to save Mikey so much he commits murder and time leaps to save him. Ok Shinichiro was definitely not justified in the first bit, he shouldn't have done that and even Shinichiro himself acknowledged that. But he does manage to save Mikey and change things for the better, his devotion to Mikey is unmatched.

4. Finding Izana and trying to care for him, it's clear the amount of influence Shinichiro had on Izana's life, the amount of happiness Shin gave him. He really did his best to make Izana happy and care for him.

3. Founding the black dragons, Shinichiro was just out here making the most iconic gang Tokyo has ever seen. They come out of nowhere, establish themselves as the top gang and then just leave. Not even mentioning all the strong gens that follow.

2. Saving Takemichi from the kids and giving him the time leap, it's safe to say without Shinichiro the whole story wouldn't have happened and we never would've gotten our time leaping crybaby hero.

1. Raising Emma and Mikey, Shin was basically a parent to two kids as a teen with the way he was expected to care for his siblings. But we've never seen him complain or falter in caring for his siblings, he clearly did a great job raising the two of them.

-i have nothing to say about this scene its simply perfect. Would be funny if tsubasa was just working a secretary job and shinobus like "wait you saved the world why are you working that job" and tsubasas like "i tried to be director for a day and i needed a year of therapy afterwards'

-i dont think its their bond that let them use synchrome first, i think they were just messing around with their beys. Most bladers dont seem to understand basic mechanics

-summary: best episode, ren really makes this episode. Shes such a personable character and even in short bursts she can show off really well. I just wish the episode treated her with more respect, she shouldnt be brushed away like a side thought. This episode is a mess but an enjoyable one.
