I love middle aged Benny headcanons but it think it is marginally funnier if Benny is mid 20s for 3 reasons:

Him at 17/18 taking over the Boot Riders and getting that god awful suit that he doesn’t event fill out yet (like it just started fitting as of the game)

His brain not being fully developed which does not help his canon INT stat of 3

You’re not my dad conversations between him and House that are supposed to be business oriented but Benny is getting pseudo grounded.

Also being a manlet and young is so funny seeing as he runs a casino and I bet he gets asked where his parents are by the other casinos as bullying cause he’s got chronic baby face.

I like to think Benny got that gun from House when they all came to the strip and that House tried to make a big deal of it and what it meant with all its engravings and symbolism. But Benny being a wasteland we just saw if as another weapon.

He never really mentions it in canon, no attachments or acknowledgements to how good it is as a weapon. He just uses it because it’s the brand, a part of his image. Maria, despite carrying the visage of the women who carried/birthed the prophet, is merely used by a man to kill what can be considered the Mojave’s messiah.

#the opening scene of fallout is like just Easter and the courier is Jesus #Benny could be Judas but is interesting that Benny rarely has a really good thing to say about whatever house has given him #without something else negative behind it #also he is a melee build using a pistol I like to think he’s a sorta bad aim cause he’d rather just beat you with the gun or pistol whip #someone cause like of all things it’s rather hard to retrain a defense mechanism so if he’s used to hand to hand combat he has to like #not think to shoot first and rather hit or charge cause he’s rather offensive in combat #fallout #fallout new vegas #benny gecko #benny fnv #thinking of this because of a mooties post <3
