Everyday i discover people who haven't watched Eternals, simply because it was bombed with negative reviews even before its release.

And everyday i feel sorry for all these people who are missing out on:

the magic that is created by Druig and Makkari's playful yet ages old romance, expressed in just 4 words: “My beautiful, beautiful Makkari”

the platonic/romantic/queer platonic bond between Thena (mentally ill) and Gilgamesh (big guy who's a softie)

the cool, rich, south asian superstar n diva Kingo, plus his amazing and thoughtful valet Karun n his arsenal of cameras

the most beautiful display of romance & domesticity between Phastos (a gay black man) and his husband Ben (a gay arab man), and their adorable little son

the conflict and struggles of both Ikaris & Sersi in choosing their paths or their love for each other

the frustrations of Sprite as the only differently built of them and also their chaotic nature

the motherly, loving and kind yet composed and respected leader Ajak

the funny yet easily accepting Dane Whitman

like i feel sorry so many are mindless sheep who run with the hate bandwagon without even trying something on their own to actually see if its good or bad.

He sounded young, and suddenly Bucky could see Sam, knobby knees and dark skin, soaking up sun chasing Sarah across the docks while their parents hollered at them to stop.

10. Fussin’ - Sambucky - Sam is injured

Fuck if he cared, Sam’s head was blitzed with bright, shocking pain and if he wanted junk food from the vending machine, he was getting up to do it. A man had to have standards.

15/06/2022: Phastos's first encounter with Ben

Phastos's intelligence has brought forth prosperity as well as devastation to this planet. He has witnessed humanity thrive and plummet right before his eyes. He is the master of creation, the smartest eternal. Yet he finds himself dumbstruck at the sight of the bearded man in front of him.

He peels his eyes away from the stranger's smile and asks the question he is sure he had asked just a moment ago. “What?”

The man seems to be a patient individual for he repeats his response once more. “You had dropped this.” He waves a brown, leather wallet at him. “Near the park's entrance.”

Phastos stares at him. On a crowded street during the Christmas eve, no one would bother if someone accidentally lost their wallet or even a child. Everyone is far too busy with their own lives to concern themselves with others. So then, why did this man waste his precious time being kind to Phastos?

“Thanks.” He accepts his wallet and shoves it back into his coat's pocket. And before he can stop himself, the offensive words slip out. “You didn't have to.”

The man smiles again. “Yes. But I chose to.”

“I..um–”

“It's alright.” The unknown man's gaze is empathetic now. “The blip took a lot from this world. And it must be hard enduring your loss. But it will get better. You will heal.”

The man turns to leave.

Phastos closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. Loud explosions and thousands of innocent screams echo in his ears. They never leave him. He hasn't simply lost his faith in humanity but also lost himself.

But for some reason, this stranger sparks hope within him again.

“H-how?” He stutters to the stranger's departing form. “How do I heal?”

The man turns his head in surprise. Then he retreats and answers. “You're already doing it.”

“The first step towards healing is wanting to heal.” He explains and offers a hand to Phastos. “I'm Ben.”

Phastos blinks. Then slowly raises his arm and shakes Ben's hand. “Phastos.”

This is my first time writing again in over a year and it was very much a rush job. I wanted to get something out today though, and all my other wips are miles away from being done so here’s some family fun for V-day!

Snippet:

Kingo proved himself less and less useful everyday (according to Sersi) when he expressed countless grievances with his editing abilities. Eventually he admitted defeat and suggested they outsource an editor.

Sprite has been added to the chat.

Together, Jack, Kingo, Karun,Sersi and Sprite put together what Jack hoped would be the perfect gift – and it was now loaded up on his computer, which was linked to the TV; and as it played he watched for his dads’ reactions.
