Duncan McFarland House

The Duncan McFarland House is located off Cannon Road and Arbor Lane in the Cleveland Metroparks South Chagrin Reservation of Bentleyville, Ohio. Built in 1848, it is one of Bentleyville's oldest homes and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was moved to the park for "safe keeping" in 1932 while volunteers raised funds and restored it as best they could.   The village wants to move the homestead and restore it to house historic artifacts. One of the few in the Western Reserve built in the Greek Revival style, the structures was listed in the National Register of Historic places on November 21, 2001.

West Liberty University Physician Assistant Graduates Receive 100% Pass Rate on Certifying Examination

The 2023 West Liberty University Physician Assistant graduates have achieved a 100% first time pass rate on the physician assistant national certifying examination known as PANCE. This marks the third consecutive year that a West Liberty University PA Class has earned a 100% pass rate. The PANCE exam is a nationally required test that assesses medical and surgical knowledge to become a certified physician assistant. “We congratulate the PA Class of 2023 on their 100% PANCE pass rate, which showcases their dedication and learning over the last two years. Located in the scenic South Chagrin Reservation near Bentleyville, Ohio, Look About Lodge is a beautiful log cabin built from more than 300 chestnut logs in 1938 as the meeting place for the Cleveland Natural Science Club. The Lodge features two stone fireplaces, halved chestnut log stairs, and a Native American totem pole. Adjacent to the Lodge is a hemlock forest overlooking Sulphur Springs gorge as well as a section of the Buckeye Trail. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 12, 2006.
