OKAY. I DISCOVERED A HEART WRENCHING FACT.
(SPOILERS FOR GOOD OMENS 2 AHEAD)
Both seasons of Good Omens made me curious as to what is truly around St. James’s Park as it is known that Aziraphale and Crowley have a specific bench they meet at in St. James’s Park to have conversations. Which is great. This is what I choose to do with my time. Also 99% sure Crowley has been taking Aziraphale on dates unknowingly (or extremely knowingly) as the London Eye is extremely close to there as is The Ritz and Buckingham Palace.
I wish I was making up that there is seriously a “NIGHTINGALE HOSPITAL” DOWN THE ROAD FROM THERE. HAVE MERCY. Was this intentional?! Of all the names they could’ve given that hospital.

Lake Merritt After Hours 🕰️
📸 It's one of those things where your always at the lake during the day but rarely at night. (unless you live close by) With the necklace of lights guiding your path, a night walk around the lake is not to be missed! Bring a *good* joint. -Bay

Ok but do you know about the UC Berkeley Hyenas because those were like a cryptid to me as a child. Haunting. I think we should bring them back but as a cryptid. Not as the real live animals because what the fuck was that about, actually.
I am so southbay-pilled that despite some of my best friends going to Cal and one of them getting a BA in Psychology during that man's tenure I had never heard of the UC Berkeley Hyenas until this message what the actual fuck. Incredible. Is Berkeley never not up to something absolutely insane.
These are ABSOLUTELY the cryptids we need to terrorize the bay area. Imagine you're walking home alone at night and you hear a hyena laughing. I'd shit myself. Can we let them loose on the Financial District during lunch hour.

The battle for People’s Park has gone on for decades. I used to wander through in the 1990’s and meet colorful people. From Wikipedia: Wavy Gravy Hugh Nanton Romney Jr. (born May 15, 1936), known as Wavy Gravy, is an American entertainer and peace activist best known for his role at Woodstock, as well as for his hippie persona and countercultural beliefs. Romney has founded or co-founded several organizations, including the activist commune, the Hog Farm, and later, as Wavy Gravy, Camp Winnarainbow and the Seva Foundation. He founded the Phurst Church of Phun in the 1960s, a secret society of comics and clowns that aimed to support ending of the Vietnam War through political theater, and has adopted a clown persona in support of his political activism, and more generally as a form of entertainment work, including as the official clown of the Grateful Dead. As Wavy Gravy, he has had two radio shows on Sirius Satellite Radio's Jam On station. A documentary film based on his life, Saint Misbehavin': The Wavy Gravy Movie, was released in late 2010 to generally positive reviews. Romney was awarded the Kate Wolf Memorial Award by the World Folk Music Association in 1992.” Wavy Gravy at People’s Park, Berkeley, 1993 🇺🇦💔🌎💔🌏💔🌍💔🇺🇦 #earth #human #family #america #berkeley #park #peoplesparkberkeley #social #documentary #comic #performer #philosopher #portrait #photography @hasselblad #hasselblad #camera #mediumformat #fuji @fujifilm_northamerica #film #photography #filmisnotdead #istillshootfilm #pdx #portland #nw #northwest #leftcoast #oregon #streetphotography #ishootfujifilm @hasselbladculture @hasselbladfilmgallery @peoplesparkberkeley 1993 Fuji Reala Hasselblad 500c 120mm Makro-Planar https://www.instagram.com/p/CpSnx_RLWAg/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Waiting for my angel...
Long time no see!
Sorry for my absence, but I had a quite rough time lately and didn't paint anything special. But today I thought I should finally post my Crowley -inspired photos from London. I did the trip in September and the weather on that day wasn't the best, but I menaged to capture a few of Crowley-ish expressions and, most importantly, I visited St. James Park, Berkeley Square (where nightingale sings) and also saw The Ritz - sadly all rooms were booked so I didn't stay. :P
The trip was amazing, as you may know, I am a musical theatre student so I've watched eight amazing shows on West-End and had a really great time sightseeing London. Of course visiting some places from GO was one of the most important points on my "to see" list.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Marvin Gaye’s 1971 concept album, WHAT’S GOING ON, his landmark testimonial on addiction, the environment, poverty, racism, war, and man’s estrangement from God. He also raised the bar for mingling electronica and jazz orchestration with gospel, pop, and Motown’s brand of soul music. Initially Motown’s president, Berry Gordy, balked at releasing this album, but Marvin made a wager with Gordy, and to Gordy’s amazement, it went one to become one of Motown’s classic LPs and one of the most celebrated albums in music history.
Key tracks on the album include “God is Love,” “Mercy Mercy Me,” and “Inner City Blues” (featuring James Jamerson’s amazing bass work, which greatly influenced my own bass playing). The album is a “song cycle” in a narrative told from the perspective of a Vietnam veteran returning to his home country to behold hatred, suffering, and injustice. The evergreen title song has roots in the San Francisco Bay Area. The lyrics, co-written by Obie Benson of the Four Tops, were conceived after he and the group's tour bus arrived in Berkeley on May 15, 1969. While there, Benson witnessed police brutality and violence in People’s Park during an anti-war protest. It was later hailed as “Bloody Thursday.” Upset by the situation, Benson asked people, "'What is happening here? One question led to another. Why are they sending kids so far away from their families overseas? Why are they attacking their own children in the streets?" After collaborating with Al Cleveland and Marvin Gaye, the song became the masthead for free speech, civil rights, and God’s love over man’s strife.
Here's an acoustic (unedited board tape) "coffee house version" I did of "What's Going On." Meanwhile, thank you Marvin for making a record that stands the test of time and still speaks to us!

Israel has cut water, electricity and food to Palestinians in Gaza. They are buying 10.000 M16 rifles and plan to distribute to civilian settlers in the West Bank to hunt down Palestinians. They're bombing the only way out of Gaza through Egypt, after telling refugees to flee through it, and have threatened the Egyptian government in case they let aid trucks pass through. Entire families, generations, are being wiped out and left to wander the streets hoping they don't get bombed.
Palestinians are using their last minutes of battery to let the world know about their genocide and are being met with a wall of "What about Hamas? What about the beheaded babies? Killing children on either side is bad!" even though the propaganda claims have been debunked over and over again. How cruel is it to ask somebody to condemn themselves before their last words? Or before grieving the loss of their entire families? When there's no such disclaimer to Israelis even though their government has shown over and over genocidal intent? Like who are you even trying to appease? What will your wishy washy statement do against decades of zionist thought infiltrating evangelical and Jewish stablishmemts?
Take action. Israel will fall back if public opinion turns its tide. The UK fell back on its bloody decision to cut aid to Palestine under public scrutiny. The USAmerican empire spends $3.8 billion dollars annually solely on this proxy war while its people suffer under a progressively military regime as well. News outlets are canceling last minute on Palestinian speakers while letting Israelis tell lies unchecked. Palestinian refugees are being targeted in ICE establishments and mosques are already being hounded by the FBI. France and Germany have banned pro-Palestine protests, while Netherlands and the UK have placed restrictions . You have the chance to stop this from turning into repeat of the Iraq war.
I want to do something but there's hardly anything for me to do from Brasil besides spreading the word and not letting these testimonies fall on deaf ears. I'm asking you to do this same ant work from wherever you are.
