10 Best 60 Inch Tv Reviews
It delivers a richer, more solid and more natural picture, much-improved motion processing, and better sound. If N94A seems a bit of an odd model number, that’s because it indicates that there’s only a small difference between it and Samsung’s flagship 4K TV for 2021, the QN95A . The QN94A TV is identical apart from missing out on the One Connect box – a discrete box that houses all of the QQN95A’sconnections, including power. Throw in the best, most app-packed operating system in the business, a delightfully slim design and a full set of next-gen HDMI sockets, and this is as complete a package as can be imagined. UK catch-up apps are currently missing but we don't expect that to remain the case for very long. Hardcore gamers might want to take a wait-and-see approach, though, as the set doesn't yet support VRR and we found the 4K@120Hz support a little buggy. https://mark-walker.webnode.ru/ When it comes to finding a new TV, sound quality is almost as important as picture quality. Many pricier models offer the rich and balanced sound of Dolby Atmos. However, if you prefer an even louder volume or deeper bass, consider adding a soundbar to further enhance your TV-watching or gaming experience. Just because these aren’t the largest models available doesn’t mean that they aren't loaded with the latest and greatest features. If you want all the bells and whistles, including smart functionality and Ultra HD resolution, you can find a 50-inch television that offers all of this and more. We put every TV through our custom lab test, measuring color gamut, color accuracy and brightness to objectively see which sets are the best for these key indicators.
The Samsung PS64F is a very tempting prospect, it has a big inch screen and a superb feature set, but it can also deliver a fantastic picture and a surprising amount of brightness.
This is not a huge problem as nearly all other televisions I've had have required a soundbar to hear dialogue.
Solid Wood TV stands such as the Phoenix TS have long been a favorite because of their solid construction, convenience and charm.
Form and function merge with the unique wedge design of our 152 cm (60-inch) LED TVs.
Beautifully made to accommodate your media equipment, it’s well equipped with adjustable shelving, cutouts for wire management and a sliding barn door for that modern farmhouse look you love.
Keep your basic requirements and overall budget in mind; you would definitely end up choosing the optimal one. Make sure you check the features and do compare the prices so at the end of the day you find the one which is your dream one. 40 to 50 inches is the best size of the soundbar for the 55 inches of TV. 55 inch TV set has a width of around 47.8 inches, so it is also recommended to choose a soundbar having a size of between 40 to 50 inches.

If you produce a product that was obviously defective you should stand behind your product. We have several of their TV's in our home and I can promise you when they go out it will be another company that we will use. I was surprised it came with Netflix and Hulu installed because my old TV is ancient and has no internet capabilities. We also discovered the screen casting feature and have been very happy about it. For TV this price and how large I would hope they have more than just 3 inputs. Our moderators read all reviews to verify quality and helpfulness. DTS Studio Sound™ creates virtual surround sound for a crisp and immersive audio experience. Dolby Vision™ High Dynamic Range + HDR10 adds dramatic color, contrast and brightness to each scene. With over 8 million pixels, 4K UHD offers a clearer, more defined picture when compared to Full HD.
Neon Hd 19 Tv Dvd Combi C1973f
Of course, not all sizes of TVs are shown in the pictures, as the picture is already too cluttered. Hisense TV does not only offer an affordable price, but it also provides several features that other brands do not have. For example, Hisense has also developed an in-built video editing software that can be used by the user for enhancing the quality of their videos. In addition, one can also import and save videos from their mobile phones to increase their viewing pleasure. As you shop, be sure there's enough shelf space for all of your belongings. Plus you can easily access your favorite apps and Internet-based content via the Samsung Smart Hub and use your other smart devices such as your smartphone or tablet for content sharing and screen mirroring. This Cheetah Mounts wall mount supports televisions between 32 inches and 65 inches, perfect for anyone who likes to change their TV set up a lot. It can hold up to 165 lbs in weight, which is plenty of support for a 60 inch TV. Big Lots is your destination for quality home furniture at affordable prices. You can find everything you need to furnish your home, big or small, with styles and selection that fits your home and budget. Browse our selection of furniture for every room in your home, including living room furniture, bedroom, kitchen and dining, home office, furniture for kids & more. We also carry a wide variety of accent furniture, home décor and mattresses to fill your rooms. Similar to ratings, reviews here are that customers will provide detailed and specific information about their experience with the product so that you have a more realistic and confident view of the product. View our range of Ultra HD TVs sized between 48 and 60 inches online or in store at The Good Guys. I would argue that is the year Panasonic has finally cracked it. This performance was all the more impressive because of the larger screen size which, panasonuc its very nature, can be unforgiving and reveal any limitations in a panel's performance. Whilst a lag of 42ms might be a little high for the serious gamer, it is certainly good enough for most people and when gaming we were never really aware of any lag. Optimal viewing height is more based on you, and your space then a generic recommendation I’d be able to make. Due to height differences, and space constraints plus aesthetics the information below is to be helpful in choosing the correct height for your TV. I believe doctors would recommend that the center of the screen, not the bottom, should be at eye level when in the normal viewing position. Our 58" plasma TV used to be mounted on a "console" in the family room, with the bottom of the TV about 30" from the floor. I've been a tech journalist for more years than I'm willing to admit. My specialties at CR are TVs, streaming media, audio, and TV and broadband services.

The iPhone 13 is faster, has a bigger battery, and gets a new camera sensor that captures more light (with support for new video features as well). Along with more storage options, it also incorporates all the new features of iOS 15. And it’s been my primary device for just a little over 24 hours! And I thought now would be a good time to share my first impressions of the new iPhone 13.
Recycled design, underwhelming display
The display used on the iPhone 13  is, perhaps, the least exciting feature of the device. But I think it still deserves to be highlighted simply because of the upgrades that it has received over the 2020 model. Even with the ‘upgrades,’ note that the phone (still) lacks a high refresh rate display – a feature that is now common even on mid-range Androids. And this is glaringly obvious when you use the phone for the first time.
The OLED display used on the iPhone 13  is the same size as its predecessor. It measures 6.1 inches across and has a resolution of 1,170 x 2,532 pixels. One thing that is definitely noticeable is the notch used for the sensor array, which is now 20% smaller.  That’s a significant size reduction.
Tumblr media

However, not all apps are adapted to the new size, which causes some videos in 18:9 format to show a small tooth of the notch out of the indentation margin. That being said, watching videos on streaming services like Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime video was not a problem, and this issue was only noticeable on YouTube.
While the display still refreshes at 60Hz, I do admit that the OLED panel is of good quality and that it offers deep blacks. The iPhone 13’s display is also exceptionally bright. All this makes the usually mundane job of surfing the internet pretty exciting. Even without high refresh rate, it is a great screen to consume content.
Tumblr media

The resized notch aside, very little has changed as far as the front of the iPhone 13 is concerned. In fact, the same can be said of the phone’s overall design, which is highly reminiscent of last year’s iPhone 12. This is by no means a negative thing, and on the contrary, this makes the phone – at least in my opinion –  very beautiful and elegant. However, the increased battery capacity does make the phone a bit thicker and heavier than the iPhone 12 so forget using iPhone 12 cases on the iPhone 13.
Tumblr media
The cameras are aligned diagonally now and mark the difference between the iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 / © NextPit
The big exception is the camera module, which no longer brings the lenses aligned, but diagonally. This is due to the size of the wide-angle camera sensor, which is larger. I believe this is the fastest way to differentiate this year’s model from last year’s.
The iPhone 13 is also IP68 rated for water and dust resistance. In the past 24 hours, I also noticed that the glass-clad rear panel of the iPhone 13 is a massive fingerprint magnet.
Excellent performance, as always
The iPhone 13 totes Apple’s brand new A15 Bionic processor, which on paper claims to be 50% faster than the current leading competitor. The graphics performance also sees a boost and is now claimed to be 30% faster than its immediate rival. Our interpretation is that Apple is referring to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 here – which – as you know, is the most powerful processor in existence for Android smartphones.
Despite this claim, in day-to-day life, it isn’t easy to prove this. However, there is no denying that the iPhone 13 offers excellent performance. However, there is always this nagging feeling in the back of your mind about how ‘smoother’ the phone would have felt with a 120Hz display.
And one more thing.; in 2021, Apple has finally removed the 64 GB version of the phone. You can now only buy the phone in 128, 256, and 512 GB variants.
On the software front, the update to iOS 15 has brought more consistency to the system. It is easier to use the Safari browser, the Focus mode offers the possibility of having fewer interruptions, and FaceTime has expanded video conversations with people who do not own an Apple device. On the privacy front, features like Live Text, text, and image recognition are all done on the device itself without data being sent elsewhere.
Thanks to Apple A15 Bionic chip, the iPhone 13 now gets enhanced image processing capabilities, support for a bunch of AI-related features, and overall impressive performance in everyday tasks.
As outlined earlier, I penned this quick hands-on after spending a mere 24 hours with the iPhone 13. You will learn more about how the phone behaves in the long run when I complete the full review of the phone.
The main camera is the highlight
Besides performance and battery life, the iPhone 13 certainly stands because of its camera capabilities. Without mystery, Apple opted for a dual-camera setup that includes a 12MP wide-angle camera and another 12MP sensor mated to an ultra-wide lens. Pertinent to note is that the main (wide-angle) camera, inherited from the iPhone 12 Pro Max, uses a sensor that can capture 47% more light than the iPhone 12 – and this naturally means better photos at night!
More than that, we have more stability in videos thanks to Sensor-Shift Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) technology. In OIS by sensor shift, the camera sensor moves to compensate for minor shakes, thereby leading to smoother videos and better low-light shots.
On the software side, two features really caught my attention; Photo Styles and Cinema Mode. First of all, I must say that when opening the iPhone 13 camera, everything is really very intuitive. In the upper corner, you can quickly set the style of the photo, for warmer or vivid tones, or even higher contrast.
Cinema Mode, on the other hand, proved to be less complex than I expected – let’s face it, Apple’s presentation was really pompous in this regard. Simply put, this function allows you to change the focus of objects that appear in the foreground of a video. This can be done manually or automatically, and if, in the end, you want to change the result, you can do so using the iPhone’s editing app or an Apple software like Final Cut.
Cinema Mode is basically the bokeh effect for videos, and Apple has done a good job here!
iPhone 13’s front-facing camera is basically the same as the iPhone 12’s, and it does a good job. You also get the Photo Style feature which works great for FaceTime – which now offers the option for video calls with people who don’t own Apple devices.
iPhone 13: Image gallery
Main camera (Photo Style – warm) Outdoor Main Camera Main camera (Portrait mode) Main camera (Contrast) Main camera Ultra wide-angle camera Front camera – Portrait mode Front Camera – Photo
Overall, the camera setup on the iPhone 13 is very good, although we don’t have the versatility found in the Pro line. The latter, as you might be aware, gets a telephoto camera in addition to other advanced features. The photos are sharp, with excellent contrast, and the post-processing is very well done by the software.
Finally, it’s worth noting that the camera on the iPhone 12 Pro Max was voted the best on a smartphone in our recent blind test. And that speaks volumes about the quality of the iPhone 13’s lens and sensor array, even if it doesn’t have the same versatility as Apple’s most advanced phone of 2020.
Battery is 15% larger
The battery of the iPhone 13 is bigger. To be precise, it is 15.1% bigger compared to the predecessor model. Apple claims that this difference is big enough for the iPhone 13 to last 2.5 hours more compared to its predecessor. Of course, this has had an impact on the design of the device, which is now thicker and a little heavier. However, most people will appreciate the gain in battery life over the addition of a few grams of weight.
Tumblr media
The iPhone 13 is a little thicker and a little heavier, but the battery is bigger / © NextPit
I received the device with the battery at 60%, and after 4 hours of screen on time, the device still offered a 23% charge. Charging time, on the other hand, is nothing surprising. To get from 23% to 98% charging, it took about 1:30min.
Since this is still a preliminary review of the iPhone 13, I’ll stick to saying that the 37% charge consumption for 4 hours of screen time is really good at first glance. However, you have to consider that the display is a standard 60Hz panel, and the fact that we have an OLED display with deep blacks is a big plus.
First impressions: Apple has refined the series in 2021
The iPhone 13 is a classic upgrade and an incremental one over the iPhone 12, which – as you know – was a significant update over the iPhone 11.  But get this: This is a faster smartphone, with better battery life and a real upgrade in terms of the camera. My first impressions couldn’t be more positive.
Of course, it would have been better to see the same screen refresh rate as the iPhone 13 Pro on the “more basic” line or the removal of the notch altogether. However, it looks like that’s reserved for the next generation of the iPhone. I am thankful we do not have to contend with the 64GB variant anymore.
The pricing of the iPhone 13 starts at $799 for the base model and goes up to $1099 for the 512GB top variant.

Best Mac For Photographers 2017
Tumblr media
The iMac typically doesn’t see as many good deals as the MacBook and iPad, which is why I’m happy to see the beastly discount B&H Photo is offering today for the 2017 21.5-inch 4K Retina iMac. Right now you can get the 1TB model with 8GB of RAM for a mere $899, which is an impressive $400 down from the original retail price of $1,299 and far better than prices we’re seeing elsewhere. And this isn’t even a refurbished model.

Here are a few other specs:
3.0 GHz Intel Core i5 Quad-Core
21.5-inch 4096 x 2304 IPS Retina 4K display
AMD Radeon Pro 555 Graphics Card (2GB)
The 1TB 2017 4K iMac just dropped below $900 at B&H Photo If you’re looking for a good desktop Mac for the office or school, this is a good choice. By Leif Johnson.
Tumblr media
For more information, you can read our review of the 3.4GHz version of this iMac from 2017. The speed boost over the previous model didn’t impress us at the time, but even so, we confidently noted that “the 2017 iMac continues the excellence that we’ve come to associate with the iMac.”
We are the world’s only full-service destination for photo, video and electronics. We’re more than a camera store—we offer the best selection and prices on professional photography and video gear, pro-audio, and consumer electronics such as home theaters, mobile computing, home office equipment and more.
The Apple iMac ME086LL/A has gained much popularity from professional photographers for its spectacular features. This computer is one of the fastest entry-level Apple iMac, offering reliability, looks, and functionality for a straightforward editing process.
On B&H Photo itself, this model retains a rating of five stars even after 183 user reviews. A review from this month reports that the “Display quality is almost unbelievable” and that the “Streaming TV picture is better than my 32-inch HD TV sitting right next to it.” Still another review claims this was the best value for a relatively new iMac they could find on the internet, and I’m inclined to agree.

The sale ends tomorrow, August 31, at midnight Eastern, so if you’re interested, take advantage of this deal before it’s too late.

Most free photo editors available on the App Store are quite basic, offering just a limited number of filters and allowing you to easily and quickly liven up your photos before posting them on social media.
But if you’re an aspiring or professional photographer, you probably need a more powerful app with a broader set of tools to use your creativity to the fullest. Besides, you probably use your Mac for photo editing because working on a large screen makes it possible to adjust the slightest details.

2017 Mac Desktop
Apple’s Photos app is included for free on all recently released Macs. It does a good job at organizing your photos, but its collection of photo enhancement tools leaves much to be desired. Hopefully, our selection of the best free programs for photo editing on Mac will help you choose the right app to suit all your creative needs.
Geometry dash texture pack. 2. Luminar (7 days trial)
Luminar is another full-featured photo editor that’s popular with both Mac and Windows users. It can work as a standalone app as well as a plugin for such popular programs as Apple Photos.
Luminar uses Artificial Intelligence to enable sophisticated yet quick photo enhancements. Among these AI features are Sky Enhancer, which adds more depth and detail to the sky in your photos while leaving other areas untouched; Accent AI, which analyzes a photo and automatically applies the best combination of different effects to enhance your image; and Sun Rays, which allows you to place an artificial sun and adjust the lighting to your liking or make the sun rays already in your photo look even more incredible.
Luminar has over 60 filters you can apply to your photos to enhance them in a moment. Luminar also provides a set of powerful tools for cropping, transforming, cloning, erasing, and stamping, along with layers, brushes, and many more incredible features. Luminar supports the Touch Bar on the latest MacBook Pro, making photo editing even more effortless and pleasing.
Pc keyboard hack mac. 3. Photolemur 3 (Free Version with watermark)
Photolemur is a relative newcomer on the photo editing market but it has all the chances to win the favor of beginner photographers and hobbyists. Running on Artificial Intelligence, Photolemur is a completely automatic photo enhancer, meaning that it does all the editing for you in no time. It has the simplest interface, with only a few buttons and sliders to adjust the enhancement to your liking and view the before and after results.
All you need to do is choose a photo (or a few) that you want to improve, drag and drop or import them using the Import button, and let the program make enhancements. After it’s done, you can compare the edited version with the original image by using the before–after slider and, if you want, adjust the skin tone or even enlarge the eyes using additional sliders. Pretty easy, huh?
Photolemur also offers a number of impressive styles to touch up your photos and give them a sophisticated and professional look. With this app, you don’t need to stuff your head with photo editing nuances and terms. Just run Photolemur and watch the magic happen!
4. Aurora HDR (14 days trial)
As you probably can tell from the name, Aurora HDR is designed to help photographers enhance their HDR photos, making them even more detailed and beautiful. It’s an ideal tool for editing your photos, with an extensive collection of more than 20 tools including details, tone, mapping, color, glow, and vignette. Each tool has its unique selection of controls to adjust its effects.
Aurora HDR enables you to work with brushes, layers, and masks, and provides a number of automatic AI tools for recognizing and removing noise, enhancing colors, lighting, and details, improving clarity, and adding contrast to dull areas while leaving other areas untouched.
Aurora HDR does a great job dealing with difficult lighting situations and creating full-of-life images while being easy to use.
5. Pixelmator (Trial 30 Days)
Pixelmator is a photo enhancer beloved by many Mac users, as it offers a good combination of a modern and simple interface, the ability to work on multiple layers, and powerful features that take photo editing to a whole new level. With so many editing tools, brushes, and effects, you can enhance your photos to your liking. You can choose between two versions of Pixelmator – standard and pro – depending on your needs. The standard version is great for basic photo editing with its selection of essential tools and filters, while the pro version is packed with extra brushes, tools, and effects that let you push your creativity to new boundaries. You can decide which version is suitable for you according to what features you’re looking for in a photo editing app.
6. Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021 (Trial link)
Tumblr media
2017 Mac Pro
Photoshop Elements isn’t as affordable as other photo enhancers for beginner photographers. But luckily there’s a trial version available, so you can check it out before deciding whether this app is worthy of your money. Photoshop Elements acquired many powerful features from Photoshop, only Elements is simplified for amateur photographers and enthusiasts. It includes a good number of effects and filters, plus automated editing options for improving lighting, color balance, and exposure, and even opening closed eyes and reducing the effects of camera shake.
In addition to all of these awesome features, Photoshop also offers editing modes for beginners, intermediate users, and experts. Beginners will probably prefer Quick mode, as it focuses on essential tools to quickly enhance your photos by improving color, lighting, and other basic settings. Guided mode provides intermediate users with step-by-step guidance with more professional features like artistic effects, skin tone correction, and background replacement. Expert mode gives you full access to the app’s really powerful editing features and is ideal for creating stunning images.
Best Mac For Professional Photographers
7. Affinity Photo (Free Trial)
Affinity Photo’s interface may seem overwhelming at first, especially for novices, but when you come to grips with it you’ll find that the app is just what you’ve been looking for. Its numerous professional tools, effects, and filters encourage you to get creative with your photos. Among the coolest features Affinity Photo has to offer is a before and after view to compare the original photo with its edited version.
Tumblr media
Affinity Photo works with 15 file types, including common ones like PDF, PSD, JPG, and GIF as well as some less popular ones. The app amazes with its abundance of basic and top-notch editing tools, allowing you to tweak your photos using all possible kinds of instruments. Affinity Photo allows you to edit HDR photos, apply artistic filters and effects, play with masks and layers, and create breathtaking compositions by combining several images in one. If you find its interface a bit much and are afraid of getting lost in all those advanced tools, you should probably look for something more suitable for your level. But Affinity Photo is worth mastering.
8. Google Photos
Google Photos is a popular cloud storage service for photos and videos. It can’t boast countless masterly tools like other photo enhancers that we review in this article, but it includes some fundamental features like filters, color adjustment sliders, and transformation tools.
Although Google Photos may not be that helpful when it comes to editing photos, it does a pretty good job at storing high-resolution images and videos with 15GB of free online storage, compared to iCloud’s mere 5GB (which you can upgrade to 50GB for a monthly fee). If you’re planning to go on a trip and take plenty of photos, then it might be smart to sign up for Google Photos to use that extra storage space when you come back.
9. PhotoScape X (Free)
A relatively new photo editing app, PhotoScape X has been gaining popularity with many Mac and PC users since its release in 2008. Its interface is simple but unconventional, with a number of tabs running along the top of the window. Each is responsible for a specific stage of editing. The Viewer tab allows you to browse and organize your photos. After you pick a photo, you can switch to the Editor tab, which includes a broad set of instruments, filters, and effects and a useful feature that enables you to compare the adjusted photo with the original.
The next tabs, including the Batch tab, mainly concentrate on editing and renaming multiple photos at once. The GIF tab allows you to easily create an animated GIF from a group of selected photos.
The downside of PhotoScape X is a lack of selection tools, so all changes are applied to the whole image rather than to a selected part.
Best Mac For Photographers 2017 2018
10. Gimp (Free)
Gimp is a free open-source photo editing app that has been on the market for over 22 years and is available for Windows, Mac, and even Linux. Unlike many free apps, Gimp doesn’t have any ads or in-app purchases. Its grey interface might seem a little old-fashioned and it may be a bit sluggish when it comes to complex effects, though.
Gimp offers a vast collection of advanced tools that hardly any free photo editor can boast. It has numerous enhancement options such as clone and heal brushes, layers and channels, accurate selection tools, a number of transformation instruments, and, of course, color adjustment controls. Gimp is one of the most powerful tools for enhancing photos and is beloved by so many users for its price (free) and versatility. But if you can’t come to grips with Gimp’s interface, it may be worth paying some cash for a more user-friendly program.

Overall Rating: 3.5/5
Price: Rs 28,999
Realme recently launched a couple of Ultra HD TVs in the Indian market to make its smart TV line-up look more rounded. The new 43- and 50-inch TVs both boast features such as a 4K display, support for Dolby Vision and hands-free voice control. Of the two, we got the 43-inch variant for review. Time to figure out how it performs.
Realme Smart TV 4K 43 - Design and connectivity: 7.5/10
The Realme Smart TV 4K is easy on the eye, with a bezel-less design on three sides and a thicker bottom bezel. The trapezoidal chin under the company logo hosts the voice assistant indicator LEDs and IR receiver, among other things. The TV can be wall-mounted or placed on a desk using the bundled stand. The wall mount kit, however, isn’t provided in the package and probably needs to be purchased separately.
The necessary screws are bundled along with a wireless remote control and a pair of AAA batteries. In the connectivity department, you get three HDMI ports – one for ARC support, two USB 2.0 ports, optical audio out, A/V in and a LAN port, all placed along the left edge of the rear module. The ports are located more towards the centre of the TV than nearer to the edge. Since this is not a large screen TV, the ports may not be so hard to reach even if you wall mount it, but I always prefer them closer to the edge for easy access.
You also have a couple of wireless connectivity options with Bluetooth 5.0 to connect to wireless speakers or headphones and dual band Wi-Fi with support for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. A notable absentee here is any kind of analogue audio out, like a coaxial A/V out or a 3.5 mm headphone jack. So, if you plan to connect external speakers or a sound bar, make sure they either have HDMI ARC, Bluetooth or optical input.
Realme Smart TV 4K 43 - Features and specifications: 8/10
The Realme Smart TV 4K 43 has a 43-inch VA panel with an Ultra HD resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, a 60 Hz refresh rate and can display over a billion colour shades. It supports all popular HDR standards such as Dolby Vision, HDR10/10+ and HLG. You do not get the SLED backlighting that was present on the 55-inch model. This TV is powered by a Mediatek chipset that has a quad-core processor with four ARM Cortex A53 cores and Mali-G52 GPU. The CPU cores can go as high as 1550 MHz. You get 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, a chunk of which is taken up by the official Android TV 10 OS; you are left with about 10 GB of storage for your apps and data.
Sound output is rated at 24 watts RMS with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS. Like all certified Android TVs, this one, too, has Chromecast built in and lets you cast content to the screen from compatible apps on your phone or tablet. You get the usual Realme wireless remote control that I’m quite fond of. It is compact and clutter-free but doesn’t lack any important keys. The remote here has dedicated keys for settings, input selection and mute, along with the usual navigational keys, volume control and hotkeys for Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube.
Build quality is average, but otherwise, this is one of the better remotes you get with Android TVs, with just the right number of keys covering all necessary functions. It operates via both IR and Bluetooth. The power button on the remote communicates with the TV using IR when you switch it on, and everything after that operates via Bluetooth. The remote is voice-enabled, so you can summon the Google Assistant by pressing the corresponding key and issue voice commands; it works smoothly. You can issue voice commands even without the remote, courtesy of multiple microphones present on the TV for hands-free voice control. More on that a little later.
Realme Smart TV 4K 43 - User interface: 8/10
This Realme TV runs official Android TV 10 and has a near-stock user interface that you see on most official Android TVs without a third-party launcher. However, certain settings have been shuffled around. The UI is simple and easy to use with the usual row of your favourite installed apps, the shortcuts for which you can add, remove or shift around. Other rows display last played or suggested content from various OTT platforms. The TV comes preloaded with apps including Netflix, Prime Video, certain popular Google services and a few more. There’s also Google Play Store for accessing thousands of other apps.
Unlike older Realme TVs where the dedicated settings button on the remote did nothing (unless you were in HDMI or USB input modes), here, it brings up the quick settings menu irrespective of the source or app being used or even from the Home screen. This is a welcome addition, and something I was personally looking forward to. The translucent overlay for the menu looks cool, too. Pressing the button gives you access to various options including Picture and Sound pre-sets and settings using which you can fine-tune the video and audio quality. In fact, that’s the only way to access Picture and Sound options, as they have been moved out of the main Android TV settings on this TV.
Realme Smart TV 4K 43 - Picture quality: 6.5/10
Overall picture quality of this TV is a mixed bag, and I don’t think it has anything to do with the panel. It is more about the way it has been tuned out of the box, or probably about the Chroma Boost Engine that claims to increase brightness, contrast and colour. Colour reproduction is a bit too vivid for my liking. The colours are noticeably boosted, and you need to drop saturation to make the picture seem closer to natural. While most colour shades come within acceptable levels of vibrance, the reds simply cannot be reined in. While you do not get a red tint on the overall picture, anything that’s red on the screen appears blown out; so much so that even the Netflix logo appears overly red.
Another issue I faced was in the white areas of the screen, which are quite harsh on the eyes, and there’s a significant loss of detail in certain bright zones in the picture. There is also a noticeable flickering in high-contrast scenes. One way to address these issues is to set the colour temperature to Warm and alternate between Dark and Middle gamma settings. The normal colour temperature here leans a lot towards the cooler side, and the ideal option would have been right between normal and warm. Unfortunately, this TV does not let you manually adjust the white balance or colour temperature. Strangely, the Hue slider is also inaccessible.
This Realme TV does offer you certain basic options to fine-tune the picture, ranging from brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness to pre-sets for noise reduction, colour temperature, gamma and more. There are no motion adjustment settings, and that brings me to my next issue with this TV. Quite often, the picture feels jittery, irrespective of the resolution or dynamic range of the content. In certain cases, you can clearly see motion artifacts and ghosting. Quite strange, given the TV has a 60 Hz refresh rate. Technically, the company should be able to fix all the above issues via an over-the-air update, which was due earlier this month, but hasn’t arrived yet. If and when that happens, the rating on this front can go higher.
Despite the issues I’ve mentioned, it’s not all doom and gloom for the Realme Smart TV 4K. Overall contrast is decent and black levels are rather good for the segment. Unlike the bright zones, details in darker areas in high-contrast scenes in our test videos were clearly visible. Picture sharpness is also quite good, and after a lot of tweaking and tuning, the picture does look lively, especially when it comes to 4K content. If you are too lazy to play with the manual picture adjustments, use the Movie pre-set for the most acceptable settings; however, remember they’re not perfect. Similarly, use the Dolby Vision Dark pre-set when watching Dolby Vision content.
While 4K HDR and SDR content looks sharp on this TV, 1080p (Full HD) videos don’t look soft either and have ample detail. 720p videos were perfectly watchable, too. However, anything lower than 720p looks washed out. Viewing angles are quite good, and there was hardly any colour shift when watching the TV from wider angles. Unlike older Realme TVs, sound and picture adjustments are available on the fly here, irrespective of the input or app, which is a big plus. All you need to do is press the settings button (the one with three horizontal lines).
Realme Smart TV 4K 43 - Audio quality: 7/10
Two pairs of bottom-firing speakers (rated at 24 watts RMS total) deliver an above-average audio output. Each speaker module has a full-range driver to take care of mids and lows, as well as a dedicated silk dome tweeter to handle high frequencies. Audio output of the Realme Smart TV 4K, though not the best in the segment, is better than that of its predecessors. The speakers are tuned well out of the box, and you have a good amount of sound adjustment options to tweak the audio further.
The output is perfectly audible around the 30 percent volume level, and I rarely had to go beyond 50 percent. There is a bit more warmth in the sound now, and vocal clarity is good for the most part. However, in sequences with heavy bass or a loud background score, the vocals get noticeably masked. There could have been a better balance here, or an option to enhance dialogue clarity. The speakers are compliant with Dolby Atmos, but it needs to be manually enabled via the sound settings. Better to leave it on all the time because the overall audio sounds better irrespective of whether the source audio is compliant with Atmos or not.
Strangely, the bass and treble sliders are disabled once you enable the Atmos option. Don’t expect miracles from these TV speakers even when playing Dolby Atmos content, though. These speakers are good enough to take care of most of your general audio needs – from watching news, sports and the odd web series, to listening to music. If you crave the extra thump, you have a handful of audio outputs on this Realme TV including HDMI ARC, optical out and Bluetooth to plug in a sound bar or a speaker system.
Realme Smart TV 4K 43 - Overall performance: 7/10
The TV takes about 35 seconds to boot up when you switch it on from the mains, which is slightly quicker than most Android TVs. Post that, if you switch it off and on using the remote, the TV comes back on in just a couple of seconds from standby mode. The TV displays the Dolby Vision and HDR logos basis the content being played. However, I wish it could flash different logos for HDR10 and HDR10+ content; currently, it’s just HDR. The preinstalled media player is good and managed to play almost all videos with various codecs I threw at it. You always have the option of using a third-party player such as VLC, in case you don’t like it.
As I mentioned earlier, this TV has multiple microphones present for hands-free voice control. All it takes to activate them is for a user to utter the words “OK Google” or “Hey Google”, and issue a relevant voice command. It works surprisingly well and is almost as good as using the microphone on the remote. If you are concerned about the TV eavesdropping on you, there is a dedicated button at the back of the TV to turn off the microphones. Other than the picture tuning issues I spoke of earlier, almost everything works smoothly on this Realme TV.
Realme Smart TV 43 - Price and verdict
The Realme Smart TV 4K 43 can be purchased on Flipkart as well as on the company’s website for Rs 28,999, with a one-year warranty for parts and two years for the panel. That’s a standard price point for most 43-inch 4K Android TVs currently, and there are some established players in the segment to contend with. This TV will face stiff competition from the likes of the Hisense A71F, Thomson Oath Pro, Kodak CA and certain VU models. All these models are Dolby Vision-compliant, too. The Realme TV does have a neat design and some cool extras such as hands-free voice controls, but in order to pose a real threat, it needs to fix the one thing that matters most – picture quality.
