if escape rooms as team building exercises became popular im not sure if id be more excited or terrified

I’d like to imagine if that actually happened then leona would freak out at malleus, while malleus is shocked he is getting his first grandchild with you already as you reiterate that is a cat, and you both are not married. he’s not listening, to you or leona. they end up being that in law family that despise one another thoroughly like my child is too good for your child but i don’t want to lose custody of my grandchild. cats tend to have multiple kitties at once so im thinking depending on the amount the may definitely mean the boys now live ay Ramshackle with the kittens, with Nebula nipping at her dad proudly showing him her babies and Oatmeal showing his dad his babies too, forcing the two men to bond despite their prominent scowls, but they avoid being too loud because you remind them kittens are sensitive to noises. Alright, my Amazing Digital Circus hot-off-the-presses theory is that there is no escape. They're stuck in there forever because there's no where else for them to go.

We see the computer that houses the circus, and the headset that Pomni describes having worn before showing up there. Conspicuously missing is the actual body of Pomni. Or anyone else, for that matter. The implication SEEMS to be that this machine houses the entire circus, rather than this being an online experience hosted on a server. What I'm saying is this seems like less of a Sword Art Online experience and more of a Soma one. I think that headset takes a brain scan of whoever wears it and downloads a digital version of their consciousness.

It makes the reveal of the sheer number of people who have "abstracted" and completely lost themselves make more sense to me. You'd think the authorities would hear about it if a ton of people went missing, or went insane, or went completely brain-dead while wearing these headsets. But if the people out in the real world are completely fine and continue living their normal lives, then who cares about the endless suffering of their digital counterparts?

It also makes the entire concept of a consciousness abstracting make more sense to me if characters are coded onto the machine rather than hosted by an actual living brain. A character who "goes insane" and has corruptions and aberrations in their code could start glitching like that.

So yeah that's my hot take. An exit can't take them anywhere because there's nowhere else to go. There is only circus.

As much as people might criticize Ryuto for being a pompous rich kid, he’s still arguably quite kind. It’s just that his kindness tends to be more so subtle, to the point where it’s often reflected through his actions rather than his words.

For example, if he ever finds out a student at his school is being bullied, he will personally use his power and influence to have the perpetrators expelled and punished. Like, Ryuto may not go out of his way to comfort the victim, but you can bet he would gather evidence, threaten them with it, and make it apparent he won’t let that sort of behaviour slide, so he pretty much makes Kitaouji Academy a safe place for essentially everyone except bigots.

He’s also the type to verbally call out able-bodied folks for using a space designated for disabled people, so in that sense, he’s different from your average Japanese citizen who would rather stay silent than cause a scene. Ryuto, though... he has no qualms insulting a Karen if he notices they’re inconveniencing a person with a wheelchair. Seriously, he absolutely refuses to be a bystander and will confront assholes to such an extent that they would feel uncomfortable in public.

Honestly, rather than look down on those who come from less than affluent backgrounds... Ryuto actually sides with them more than he sides with the wealthy - in other words, he does not exactly suffer fools, no matter where they happen to stand on the social hierarchy.
