This whole stream was delightful. What a way to return 🤗

Tango was so happy energetic.

And from Tango calling Etho's storage system cute and Etho in gamechat going "CUTE?!" (00:41:07). To the razzing (and laughing) over shops (00:49:00 and 01:03:49). Etho taking Tango's head twice, and it all being so playful (00:58:11). Etho using Tango's catchphrases 🥹🥹🥹 It gets me every time! "porkchop power" "flee with extra flee!" And the way he said it was the cutest, and Tango's giggle about it too (01:00:59). Etho offering to give the tour Tango wanted. More mail talk and laughing guilt and planning and razzing and teaching Etho to do the stamps. Tango complimenting the path (and that Etho showed it to him when he first came back when Etho came to say hi) (01:15:41). They still plan on doing their sand-collection-off (01:35:06).

And of course the whole TNTificating with Etho's new "boom boom tech" (01:39:43--02:15:17) was just…the most fun. They are having the most fun together...it's an absolute joy. (And it's also them collaborating on how to figure out a redstone thing together which is just so satisfying.) Just...TOO MANY (!!!) (so many) fun moments in that whole TNT section that I can't even start on highlighting them all 😭 I'd need another mammoth paragraph...

My favorite thing about Steph and Cass’s relationship, and something that’s been kind of lost in canon and fandom, is that originally they were NOT uwu wholesome.

Cass was kind of an asshole who DESPERATELY wanted to protect Steph and would undermine her to do so (sometimes violently), and Steph was DESPERATE to be taken seriously as a vigilante and would sometimes get in over her head to do so.

That being said, they formed a connection with each other anyway, and that’s what makes them so special to me. In an era that was very much into “let’s have the two girls fight,” it was so amazing to see two girls who wanted to do GOOD and FOUGHT to do so coming together and becoming friends.

Genuinely, doing things "half-assed" or for a short period of time is generally better than never having done it in the first place.

Writing one sentence is better than none. A minute of brushing your teeth is better than zero minutes. Answering two questions for a homework assignment is better than answering none.

The overwhelming mountain of things can be done peacemeal. You do not have to do it all at once. It is okay to take life in whatever amount you can. The point is to allow yourself the grace to be.

I cannot express how feral it makes me that in the fourth episode of House there's a lesbian couple who go completely unremarked upon as lesbians. They're just one of the four couples with a sick baby.

It's this glimpse at this early concept the writers had for the show where they'd get to do queer representation and queer storylines. But then it was a huge primetime smash hit and executives clamped down on what the network darling show was allowed to say about the queers.

#I do make fun of the show for the hate crimes but Thirteen is actually amazing representation for what 2008? 2009?#and in 2012 she gets a relatively happy ending living out the rest of her life with her girlfriend #i think the writers did their best and like 70% of the hate crimes were them trying to queercode around censors who were hip to the code #the other 30% were that the mid-00s were a dark time and also that time House forcibly implanted a cochlear implant on a kid #house md #hatecrimes md
