I just wanna say, having an open online space where people send asks of their own experiences for Asexuals is really cool and important and I'm so happy ya'll do it.

I've thought I was asexual for a long time, but I spent so much time thinking that the way I processed things on the edge of my asexuality (asthetic attraction, making sex jokes, etc.) were just me making excuses to hold onto a label I'd started using for myself and finding community in (that and *all* the examples I had of asexual people, (red from Overly Sarcastic Productions, Jaiden Animations, friends of mine who were ace, etc) were also aromantic held me back from really looking at myself as ace for a while because I wasn't aromantic). Actually interacting with and hearing the experiences of asexual people, and hearing those experiences be normal for Asexuals and celebrated made me feel so much more comfortable and happy with myself.

So thank you for running this blog, I wish I'd been able to just come here and look at this blog when I was figuring myself out.

Screaming and crying over Yasha's pit fight. And Caleb's reaction. It's so obvious (to me, and Caleb) that's she's punishing herself for everything she did under Obann, and getting her anger out but also not fighting back.

She's taking all the damage she never did while she was under his control, because she never lost a fight with him. And now she gets to lose a fight, finally, and on HER terms. Because she's tired of hurting people, especially people who didn't ask for it. Hurting her friends.

And of course Caleb understands, because what else has he been doing for the past few years (up until he met TMN) but punishing himself. Even if it wasn't as intentional and obvious as Yasha.

And he knows the feeling of acting not entirely under his own will. Both under Trent Ikihon and also under the well, with the succubus. Of hurting people, people who didn't deserve it, didn't ask for it. People he cared about.

But he also understands not wanting to talk about it (because why would you?), so while the rest of the group tries to ask for answers, he just offers silent understanding and a drink.

Some thoughts I had last night and forgot to write down until now: It makes so much sense that Percy is the first one to gain a point of corruption. To everyone else, Whitestone is just a fucked up town. They've seen fucked up stuff, they're almost used to it at this point. They never knew it how it used to be, kind and fully of life. But for Percy, this was his home. He knew people here, grew up here, spent most of his life here. And he hasn't been back since the night his entire family was killed.

It's one thing to know the Briarwoods are there, to know they've taken over your home. It's one thing to hear about the horrors. But it's something else entirely to see that. To see the temple destroyed and the Father's corpse under his bed. To see the holy tree dead and used as a gallows. To see the empty, abandoned buildings and gaunt, miserable people. The very people his family was supposed to protect. Of course that would get to Percy, eat at his soul. Of course it would worm its way into his mind and not leave.
