[PimpMySims4] Better Elders Mod

[PimpMySims4] Better Elders Mod update/revamp is now available for early access patrons! Public Release will be on May 14th, 2021.

Description

The Better Elders mod adds more gameplay for elders to create a more in depth experience for your sims. It adds traits, events, aspirations, interactions and more to your game. This mod is a work in progress, and will periodically have updates for bug fixes and to add new features.

Traits

These traits are all gameplay traits that are gained through gameplay, not through CAS.

Doting Grand Parent

Grandparent sims can use the "Spoil Grandchild" Interaction in the friendly category to give their grand kids money for toys and for a chance of gaining this trait. It is a gameplay trait which makes sims autonomously interact with kids more and give whims you would expect from a good grandparent.

Grumpy Geezer

Elders can use the "Destroy Hope and Dreams" Interaction in the mean category on a child or teen have a chance of gaining this trait. It is a gameplay trait which makes sims autonomously act mean towards other sims including kids. They will also have mean whims.

Jaded

Children or teens who get their dreams crushed will gain this trait. It is a gameplay trait which makes sims occasionally sad because their dreams were crushed at an early age.

Interactions

Depending on your relationship with the other sim and/or their traits, these interactions could have different results. Some interactions will give your sim and/or the other sim positive or negative buffs/moodlets! Each trait has exclusive social interactions as well, some may only appear after talking to sims for a certain period of time.

Aspirations

These work best if you have all or most of the packs.

Cozy Crafter *New*

This sim wants to spend all of their new free time crafting items to give to their loved ones.

Globe Trotter *New*

This sim wants to use their retirement savings to travel the world and experience all that there is to offer while they still can.

Social Events

Senior Singles Event

Elders need some love too! Flirt and find love after retirement with this event.

Game Night

We may not have bingo, but elder sims still deserve to have fun! Invite over anyone in town to play some cards, Don't Wake the Llama, or maybe even darts.

Retirement Party *New*

Retire in style by celebrating your sim's past accomplishments as well as their future endeavors.

[PimpMySims4] Better Elders Mod V1.0.1.3

Hey guys! I have a minor update for you guys, sorry that I could not include more features. I will try to update with more content soon!

Traits:

Doting Grand Parent

Grumpy Geezer

Jaded

Children or teens who get their dreams crushed will gain this trait. It is a gameplay trait which makes sims occasionally sad because their dreams were crushed at an early age.

Interactions

With this mod elder sims will have more interactions that are exclusive to them. There are a few social interactions that all elders can use under the friendly interaction or mean interaction such as:

"Ask To Fix Phone"

"Gossip About Neighbor's Kids"

"Spoil Grandchild" *New*

"Destroy Hopes and Dreams" *New*

"Complain about Technology"

"Get off my lawn"

Depending on your sim's traits, they will be able to use other interactions too. For example, if your elder sim is family orientated they can also use:

"Give Life Advice"

"Tell Stories About Old Times"

If you have an elder sim has hot headed trait they can use interactions such as:

"Criticize Modern Music"

"Give Unsolicited Advice"

There are a few more interactions but I think it is more fun if you explore them for yourself. Most positive traits unlock the positive interactions and the negative traits unlock the negative interactions. If you a sim with both (i.e. good and hates children) they will have access to all the interactions.

Some of the interactions will give the sims buffs depending on how well they receive the interaction so look out for that. For example, some sims may not like getting life advice from an elder.

Honor your brave veteran sims (City Living Required for goaled event)

Lot Traits

Seniors Centre

This lot trait will spawn elder sims to the lot automatically and your sims will get a happy or uncomfortable buff depending on their age while on the lot. *New* Caretakers will now also spawn and help out the elder sims by cooking, cleaning, and socializing with them.
