Watching the compilation of Oscar saying people's names really shows how DEEP his voice got between chapters 2 and 3 of Volume 7 cause it goes from "Thank you sir! I mean, uh, General. Uh, Ironwood?" Right to his very next line, "Hey... Ruby?" and hearing the squeaky "Ironwood?" immediately followed by the deep "Hey" is just really funny to me right now for some reason

#oscar pine #between ch 2 and 3 Oscar decided 'well I just got new clothes so I guess I'll just go through puberty instead' #and then grew 5 inches and dropped his voice half an octave #<- that is not an estimate I just picked that amount to illustrate my point; I do not know how much it dropped by :P #rwby7 #volume 7 #quinpost #I mean it's gotten deeper since then too but not by much #the only times I can recall hearing him sound higher/squeakier like pre-v7 were (let's see cause I'm bored) #- talking with ruby in the schnee dining hall (it got deeper in the middle of the conversaton though) #(so it was only high and squeaky when they were being awkward and then it went back to his now-normal soft/deep/breathy) #- ''just to clarify - this is the easy option?'' #- ''I started to feel like me'' (just that line though the rest is deeper) #side note but in that line his voice sounds like early oscar; the next line sounds more like v6-early v7 oscar; and then #and then the line 'the me I always wanted to be' sounds like v7-v8 oscar #which haha oof #- his screams while getting attacked by the hound #not with salem tho #- ''I blasted a hole in the bottom of atlas and I highly doubt they've had time for repairs.'' #to clarify this is only the squeaky+high pitched lines - not every time he sounds like pre-v7 oscar cause that's a lot lol
