Do you know any podcasts with transfeminine main characters?
Apologies for the delay. I have a few:
Between Heartbeats: (Urban Fantasy) In a city of incredible abilities and mundane struggle, we follow Sundiata, a time-manipulator struggling to stay employed. During a a quick break from waiting tables to go help in an emergency, she instead finds herself caught in a bizzare mystery. Unfortunately release seems to have stalled following the first episode, but I'm eagerly awaiting its return.
Inn Between: (Fantasy, Adventure) What the adventuring heroes get up to at the tavern, between the grand adventures. Cleverly fills the listener in on the adventures using "previously on" and "next time on" segments. You'll need to wait (or jump) to Season 3 to meet our transfem lead, but she is an absolute delight.
Interference: (Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Romance) A human tabletop podcaster and an orc researcher get their broadcast signals crossed between worlds, and start a dialogue. Cross-reality research, and a budding romance, ensue.
The Magnus Protocol: (Horror) Seeking employment, Sam gets a job working with his friend Alice for a bizzare little government office. The work? Night shifts listening to, and then cataloguing, bizzare and unsettling material trawled from the internet. Despite Alice's warnings, Sam may be getting a little too invested.
The Night Post: (Supernatural) Concerning the conscripted nighttime couriers/postal workers of Gilt City, and the otherworldy encounters they have on the job.
PSST: Paranatural Support Services Team: (Supernatural) Struggling with a supernatural entity or haunting encounter? The PSST's got you covered. Meet The Agent at the other end of the phone as she gives advice, unravels mysteries, and tries to work out just how long it's been since she went home.
The Silt Verses: (Horror) In a modern world where gods are abundant, frequently both commercialised and restricted, two devotees of an outlawed river god go on a pilgrimage. You'll meet the character in question a few episodes in.
Breathing Space: (Sci-fi, Space Western, Anthology) Included more as a special mention (as this is an anthology and the leads change every episode), Breathing Space is an array of stories set in the early age of space exploration that leans hard into the "Western" part of "Space Western". A not-insignificant number of the stories feature trans characters. If you don't vibe with the first story, do me a favour and listen to the second before you bail.
Additions are, of course, always welcome.

OK people, it's time once again !!! you should check out Between Heartbeats, there's only one full ep out but it's great!! if you like monologuing characters, you'll definitely enjoy that one,
the soundscape is lovely and the writing is very good!! if full length eps stay as long as the first, they won't be longer than 25/30 mins, which is short enough to not be overwhelming
+ only one episode and I'm already Sundiata's biggest fan
if I haven't convinced you to try it out yet, here's the synopsis :
I think it's headed towards a very good series, I'm excited to follow it and I believe you really should check it out!! :))

Between Heartbeats is a new urban fantasy audio drama about moving forward. The story follows Sundiata, a guilt-ridden time manipulator with a knack for losing jobs, and Nadia, a moralistic telepath determined not to lose control, as they balance frayed mental health against an unsympathetic police state. But when a malevolent presence rears its head, their neuroses become the least of their problems. Can our heroes make the most of their abilities before the option is taken from them? Episode one is out now! I love the wordbuilding of this podcast and the character dynamics within. Transcripts here.

Prompt 132
So it turns out Danny and Billy share a realms guardian. Not like they knew that until they literally got scruffed and taken through a portal- apparently realms paperwork can take years or even centuries so they actually got really lucky with how much their guardian was pushing.
Apparently the primordial being of Space and the primordial being of Storm is one and the same and has been… well not throwing a fit but also yes throwing a fit at the Observants and other paperwork beings of the Zone.
So it’s not the worst kidnapping either of them have gone through, apparently they’re getting a checkup and a crash course in realms stuff?? Oh god what do you mean there’s the equivalent of galas in the Zone and they have to go to them??? Sam/Tim help them!
On the bright sides, way less attacks on Amity now that a primordial being that literally shuffles around entire galaxies just because is hanging around to teach him how to do things. And when Billy gets found out to be ten he can cheerfully say he has permission from his guardian. The one literally letting them get through space so quickly just because they think the league is neat. In an idle wow yep kiddo that is a funky looking cat we aren’t taking home yep, way.

if buddie were to be trapped somewhere, eddie dying and buck strong enough to get himself out but not strong enough to also save eddie, do you think he would leave him behind? do you think he would leave eddie behind to die all by himself, just so one of them gets back home to chris? and do you think this is (partially) what eddie wanted to achieve with the will?
god, i don't think buck could ever bring himself to do that. i think if eddie knew that only one of them could get out, he would beg buck to leave him there, but buck would fight against it, because how could he leave eddie? how could he go on living if he had to leave eddie here to die? yes, he would survive for christopher's sake. but he wouldn't live. how dare eddie not give him the easy way out? how dare eddie force him to keep going without him there by his side?
(i do think what eddie wanted to achieve with his will, aside from the obvious—making sure christopher would be taken care of—was also ensuring that buck and chris would have each other. so they could be each other's lifeline. i think the way he told buck about this in the first place—as a manner of telling him that he's not expendable and that there are people who would love and miss him if he were gone—makes this pretty clear.)

The walls of Ba Sing Se aren’t half as high as those around a girl’s heart.
Katara never thought she’d lie to her friends or sneak around with a boy she hates. But then, she didn’t expect Zuko to come to this city of secrets and do what he does best: turn her life upside down.
Even if she wanted their affair to become something real, it’s out of the question. There’s a war waiting for them, and they can’t stay sheltered within these rings forever, enemies playing the part of lovers. He may care for her—may even need her—but not enough to change.
Besides, catching is what Zuko is good at. Keeping, not so much.
RATING: Explicit
SHIP: Zutara
WARNING: Underage
Read from the beginning
Complete

does anyone else wish we got one of those camp fetch quests for john... its kinda crazy we didnt considering how important his character is and it wouldve been an easy excuse for john and arthur banter. i dunno what he couldve request tho. a wolf pelt? he doesnt specify why and next thing you know hes walking around camp like this
"i save yer behind more times than y've tried to act like a proper father 'n now y'want me to go on a fetch quest fer you? y'might as well call me yer momma"
"oh c'mon arthur, i'll do it myself but considerin' yer goin' 'round and fulfilling everyone's wishes like some fairy godmother is it too much to ask fer one 'o mine to be granted?"
"ain't gonna promise you anythin', marston."
(he does it faster than you can say tahiti)
