Jeong is known more for being the captain of the sparrow pirates, because they have more control of their temper than the rest of the crew put together, so they don’t get into situations where fighting is necessary.

How would zyx interact with vroomians Yan Ruizhi?

from what i understand about yan ruizhi as a character... the two of them wouldn’t interact if left in the same space. noble gases, inert to reactions. or more like, allergic to interactions

from the side-stories, we get insight into how yrz’s very distant and aloof in general (tho main story shows that it’s more like anxious avoidance, i think), and it takes unrelenting persistence to get close to him. zyx is not the type of person to go out their way to bother someone that doesn’t want to be bothered, especially if they don’t have something that zyx wants/needs.

and zyx is a bit socially deficient. the only person they’ve chosen to interact with outside of courtesy and obligation is jzx, and that was only because he was bullying a merchant making a mess in public. every other time, they would start conversation if it was appropriate for the current social environment and with the people of related standing, as appropriate.

i’m sure if forced to interact bc stuck in dire straits, zyx would be pragmatic about it. it’d be a workable team effort with respect coming from zyx’s end, at the very least. after that, zyx would be willing to expend one (1) effort each time they happen to encounter each other to greet yrz

as for how zyx would think of yrz - given what we know about yrz, it would likely be... - as strangers: there’s enough to notice on yrz’s mannerisms to immediately clock that something is off. - as acquaintances: aight guy. still weird, but innocuous enough. low effort, pleasant interactions aka not someone to 180* and avoid - as judging from knowing yrz’s personality more: no longer favorable. too passive for zyx’s taste, lacking chuan tong guan nian/传统观念/’traditional values & customs’ (or at least, the ability to adapt to them). willfully blind to their own detriment (which might be pot calling kettle black bahaha). too into books to the point it seems like he’s hiding behind them as a crutch. BUT... clever, well-spoken, witty, not lacking potential. which makes the rest of it more frustrating

none of this means that zyx isn’t willing to become friends w him. they’re aware that they have many faults, too--but there is enough similar and enough different that it would take extenuating circumstances to make them mesh on zyx’s side of things.

Yrz timeline is weird in the Hazbin au. He lived his past life as a modern woman then got born as a human in like a ancient civilization or something, and used future knowledge to make things around him more bearable and therefore accidentally imporoved things for A Lot of people. This set up Yrz to get into heaven despite being a Not Actually Great Person (not that it seems to matter to heaven lol). But technically this means he’s been dead and in hell for a lot longer than anyone else. he’s treated as a name modern people are taught about like Shakespeare or Aristotle.

also I do think his name in hell will be Reed.

You know, I just realized that while we know Hells feelings towards the Library Demon, what about Heaven? You said the Stacks were pretty much a shelter?

Why would heaven care about some random demon?

No heaven doesn’t care, but the exorcists and Adam in particular hate his guts. There’s nothing he can really do when no one can find the library demon in the first place. Yrz is careful to never outright kill an angel but he does nearly kill more than a few until the message gets through to Leave The Blue Tagged Buldings Alone. Some things are worse than death.

What Yrz actually does during an extermination is make it so it’s impossible to actually get into the stacks if you don’t already live there. Normally it’s just confusing and tresspassers always end up walking themselves out. Residency is keyed to something like a magic tattoo? Because blood and ink and it’s nearly impossible to steal lol. Yrz is about information. His angelic form can scramble the unwary brain without trying — when he does try…

Have you ever had a migraine? A knock down can’t move without being sick lie-in-the-dark until everything stops hurting, oh-god-kill-me migraine? It’s like that but worse. He scrambles brains like he’s making an omelette. They can’t think, much less fight lol.

Anyone caught in the stacks without a housing deal or work contract from Yrz when he uses his power will kill themselves to be free of the agony. He overloads people with information. Lucifer vox and Alastor are the most able to function while he’s doing this but even then it sucks bad

The reason Yrz doesn’t kill any angels outright is he understands that it’s make the retaliation way worse. Also Lucifer told him not the make trouble and Yrz is technically a guest in his house, so it’s just good manners.

(A fun side affect of this shelter is pretty much all the overlords have temporary contracts for private bunkers in the stacks. They’re expensive but Yrz honors his word and the quality is always assured. No one wants to get on the library demons bad side so pretty much all the overlords are polite.

Other people have tried to find out yrzs secret but considering it’s just yrzs own power it’s impossible to steal lol.

Yrz doesn’t shelter all of hell because he’s not strong enough. Plus the shelters are more of a ‘these are my people’ possessive thing that expanded to a lucrative business. Yrz is always wiped after extermination day.)

i don’t remember if you got asked this before, but what would it be like if yrz fell in love with wwx first instead of lwj? that post that you mentioned about “not getting what you want makes” you cruel and yrz in love is terrified and terrifying, makes me wonder the lengths he’d go to

yrz is a deeply selfish person. there is nothing yrz hates more than being vulnerable. love makes you extremely vulnerable! He would resent the hell out of wwx and being in love with someone who cares so little for his own life.

he becomes wwx's faithful shadow during the war, and after. he takes over the duties that wwx can't do anymore. He stops wwx from drinking.

if wwx dies like in canon, yrz will not recover. he would kill his way through every single person there, including lxc. yrz is selfish and hates being hurt. therefore he will do anything that keeps wwx alive. he will kill the whole jin clan if he has to. what makes yrz terrifying is his devotion. he does not care about morals or laws or good. he weighs the world against his love and chooses his love every time.

(yrz understands that wwx is not meant for him. That's fine. maybe better than fine. lwj is a Good Person who can take proper care of wwx. he wants wwx to be happy, healthy, and safe. yrz does not have to be there to ensure that. loving someone means you can't be selfish with them if it hurts them. This does not come naturally to yrz.
