i will always and forever defend the fact that femmeness is about the relationship between gender, queerness and femeninty, (as well as race, ethnicity, fatness, disability, ect) making it a complicated identity that can mean many different things and take many different forms, making it inherently more than just "sapphic woman who is femenine". I just want to say to all bisexual butches, femmes and futches that you are all so brave. SO MANY people tell us we can't use those terms because they don't belong to us, that we are stealing them which is so wrong. But we are still here and we are are not hesitant to claim something that belongs to us, something that we helped create and I think that is so brave. I love you all and thank you. Because whenever I see bisexual butches, femmes and futches being happy and proud in their identity and just being there, it brings a smile to my face and makes me feel like maybe things are not so bad after all

a while ago, i lost my lifelong best friend because they thought my identity was wrong and harmful... i've had nightmares about them ever since. so for anyone else who lost loved ones simply for being themselves...

you're a wonderful person even when other people do not recognize that.

it's their loss, not yours. but it's okay to be sad about it too. because it is sad.

this is what my boyfriend told me, and i hope it brings you comfort too. you didn't deserve to lose someone dear to you. i know how much it hurts to realize they don't love who you really are. and still, you deserve care and support all the same.

and even though they can never truly replace who you lost, there will always be people who will take you as who you really are and want you to be yourself. there will always be people like you, too. you're not alone. you're just lost.
