So yesterday, my 6 year old discovered I am bisexual. He was watching me play Stardew Valley (this is my gamer kid. He loves to play anything you give him, and he'd rather watch us play video games than watch TV). Well in this file of Stardew, my female farmer is married to Haley, and I was speaking to her and doing the daily hug/heart stuff. Well, my kid made the comment "why you love her? You like boys." (Mind you, we live in the Bible Belt, and they have fairly strong conservative Christian grandparents, and they go to a heavily Christian influenced charter school. Im also married to their dad, so at face value, I seem straight. So I don't blame him) Well, my response was, of course, "I like boys AND girls." His eyes got wide, and he pretended to dramatically faint. "WHAT?!?!" And that was it. No arguments, no questions. Just acceptance. So yeah, that's how I was outted to my kids. Lmao. As if they wouldn't figure it out when they got older and saw all the Bi pride flags around my house.
