me also appreciating scenery.
i miss the original music for mt. nibel. i know it's primarily a midgar slums feel, but i like being a lil...jazzy when i traverse these dry eye fucking sensory nightmare peaks~
cloud is comfortably cringe.

i wish i could say something of substance about noel aside from “just remembered noel” or “we have to kill noel with hammers”. maybe once i’m further into my fo1 replay i started tonight. btw replaying fallout 1997 feels like chugging a glass of ice water after waking up in the middle of the night it’s so beautiful as soon as i saw the interplay logo i could’ve cried

If I had the power to create a world where suffering did not exist, but all the bad people would exist alongside the good people and thereby facing no consequences for their previous actions I would. Rip to people who prioritize punishing bad over doing good but I'm different.

a while back, my guild picked up a prot paladin & his 50-something y/o dad who was just. the worst mage. great guy, but didn't really know what he was doing. was usually bottom dps in almost every run, and struggled with mechanics. he saw me topping the charts every week and asked if i could give him some pointers.
I pulled him into a voice chat after a raid one night and just went turbo autism mode explaining mage to him for like 3 hours. He referred to this (and subsequent chats) as his "masterclass", and referred to himself as my padawan. He listened, asked great intuitive questions, and worked on the gearing route I had told him to do.
Before last night's right, he finally had almost the complete gearset ready. I helped him with the final additional pieces, and got it all gemmed and enchanted. And sure enough, he went from doing bottom DPS to damn near topping the charts. I saw his name jump up on the meters to 1st while fighting deathwhisper and excitedly proclaimed over the mic "YOOOO GALES UP TOP!!!"
his son private messages me now almost every time hes online thanking me for helping him out, and saying his dad had been feeling really discouraged and ready to give up playing all together before I gave him some pointers, and because of that they get to keep playing together. my excitedly proclamation over the mic apparently had him elated.
Its always hard to explain to people why i play this stupid cringe game from 2009, and why it's the only multilayer game i will play. but moments like these are the perfect example why. you can't get this kind of community and comradery anywhere else.
