I’m having feelings about Anne Bishop’s “The Others” series in the year of our lord 2021.

Like oh man! What amazing fantasy! A small subgroup of humans uses propaganda in order to convince large swathes of the population to behave in shortsighted and greedy ways that court the destruction of the entire human race at the hands of the natural world! This destruction is both imminent & ongoing, despite nature and another subgroup of humans actively working to try to save as much and as many as they can. This subgroup of humans trying to save everyone is demonized and persecuted for their attempts, even unto the point of being exiled, assaulted, & murdered. Man, what creative world building!
