Jack, in 'Broken' implying that he knows Ianto only wears the suits because Jack is into them. And Ianto agrees.

Except... 'Blind Summit'' suggests that Ianto was indoctrinated and retconned repeatedly, and didn't understand where his fondness of suits came from. Tortured to the point he didn't understand why he was so good at making coffee. Because Torchwood One were molding him. Into the perfect, loyal, obedient operative.

And that just kills me.

We never knew the real Ianto. And neither did he.

So Arrangements for War huh? I just wanted to make sure I'd heard all the relevant Evelyn stuff before getting too far with Hex since I know they're connected somehow. I didn't expect two hours of emotional turmoil. Evelyn coming to terms with mortality. Poor little Sixie who feels so deeply but can't express it and has to pick between "no visible reaction" or "screaming in agonized rage trying to rewrite time." And at the end the way he calls Evelyn his intellectual equal and emotional better and then asks for snuggles! I'm not crying. 🥹
