I adore how flexible with deadlines some uni profs are!

Like yeah, some profs still absolutely suck. But others are so absolutely phenomenal.

I had it in my head that my final paper for this one class was due tomorrow at midnight rather than today at midnight. So when my aunt had to take 2 of my cousins to the ER today (one right after the other. Literally dropped one daughter off at school with a fresh cast on her wrist and had to pick up another because she sprained her ankle🤦) and needed someone to watch her youngest I didn't hesitate to volunteer. And then of course at 4pm realized that I only had 8h to finish writing it and it had to be 1k words longer than I thought, while still being a 30min drive from home even if I could have left at that moment. So I emailed my prof explaining the situation, and within 10min her response was that even without a family emergency as well, just having mistaken the deadline was a totally valid reason to request an extension from her, and asked if I'm sure 24h more is enough. Like she was already by FAR my favorite uni prof I've ever had, but after this I absolutely love this woman.
