Hi , My name is Marques. Recently I was let go from my job, and in the process of me finding a job, my bills had piled up, and now I’m in a desperate hole. My electricity is on the verge of being cut off, as well as me losing my apartment, I currently live in. I can’t even feed my dog, Chewbacca. (pictured above) if anyone can please help with any type of assistance, I would greatly appreciate it.

Here.
Charlotte, meet Avery Erwin, a 30 year old resident. Hailing from Atlanta, GA, she’s been living in the neighborhood of Dilworth here for most of her life.  She’s been told she looks like the twin of Lili Reinhart, but she disagrees.
GET TO KNOW THEM --
x She owns a bakery but it got shut down by the city when she spiraled now she is doing tiktok and only fans to keep the bills paid.  x Avery’s parents were too young to take care of her in Atlanta so she didn’t stay there very long. In fact she barely remembers her parents and has only ever lived with her grandparents. She was very close to her grandmother. x When her grandmother passed Avery opened up a bakery in her honor but it didn’t last long because after she lost both grandparents Avery went down a dark path. She was doing drugs and in a depressive state and during this time her best friend Dani had been taking care of Avery’s daughter; Olivia.  x She can be found on all social media accounts by the handle @youngheart. x People often describe her as loyal, independent, and outgoing but also blunt, envious, and passive aggressive. x When she’s not at work or with friends, she likes to watch Bob's Burgers and TikTok. x Her favorite person is her best friend, Dani Harte.
TO THE GRAVE --
When she was involved in her drug stage she had an abortion before having her daughter now. She wasn’t ready to be a mother back then and was definitely not in the right state of mind. She was afraid she wouldn’t be the right kind of mother for the baby and couldn’t deal with being pregnant.

In a Contentious Lawmaking Season, Red States Got Redder and Blue Ones Bluer (NYT) America’s state capitals are as polarized as they have been in decades, with lawmakers imposing unflinchingly conservative or liberal agendas this year, even in politically diverse places. The 2022 election brought single-party control of the governor’s office and legislature to 39 states, the most in at least three decades. Many of the 22 Republican-led states pushed new curbs on abortion, sweeping restrictions on gender transitions for youths and laws limiting discussion about sexuality in school classrooms. Democrats, who have full control in 17 states, passed new gun control measures, set limits on carbon emissions, and created safe havens for abortion and medical care for transgender people. The result was that the legislative season, which has ended in much of the country, left an even wider divide between Republican and Democratic states on the country’s thorniest social issues. “We’ve always known that California was progressive, Texas was conservative, but it now feels like almost every state is kind of falling into one of those categories,” said Tim Storey, the chief executive of the National Conference of State Legislatures, a nonpartisan group.
Violence Against Teachers Is on the Rise (WSJ) When English teacher Lauren Forbus saw three students at her middle school sneak in through an exit-only door, she stood in the hall with outstretched arms and told them to turn around. Instead, she said, they cursed at her and told her to move. Then came a push that spun her around, she later told school police. Her face smacked into a set of blue lockers. Dazed, she found herself lying on the carpeted floor, tasting blood, as her colleagues called for help and Dilworth Middle School went into lockdown. Her right eye later turned black and blue. The incident added to concerns about student violence. “Most minutes of the school day everything is fine, but then there are these flashpoints of violence,” Washoe County school board president Beth Smith said. Across the U.S., violence against teachers has ratcheted up since the widespread return to in-person learning in 2021, and in some areas the problem is worse than it was prepandemic. From September through May of the current school year, the number of assault-related workers’ compensation claims filed at some 2,000 schools in different regions of the U.S. topped 1,350, a five-year high, according to claims and risk-management services firm Gallagher Bassett.
U.S. and China at Asia’s top security forum (Washington Post) At a major conference billed as a “dialogue,” the top defense officials of the United States and China found themselves locked in a standoff. The two were the star guests among the hundreds of dignitaries from 54 countries gathered at the Shangri-La Dialogue, an annual summit organized for the past two decades by the International Institute of Strategic Studies, a British think tank. The tension between the two powers shadowed all discussions. In the keynote address Friday evening, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said he feared that a “breakdown” in U.S.-China dialogue could trigger a chain of escalation that “would be devastating for the world.” Gen. Yoshihide Yoshida, chief of staff of Japan’s Self-Defense Forces, said the international community was at a “watershed” moment, with the specter of war looming over Asia. The next day, Indonesia’s defense minister, Prabowo Subianto, warned that “the danger of catastrophe is near.” President Biden recently floated the idea of a “thaw” between the two countries. But such rapprochement is “unlikely in the near term,” Ivy Kwek, a China fellow at the International Crisis Group, said, since China sees the very “terms of dialogue with the U.S. as being unfavorable to them.” That’s a source of growing worry in the region, she added, as the vast majority of Asian countries view strategic rivalry between the United States and China as a destabilizing risk.
Mexico president’s ruling party rolls to win in country’s most populous state (AP) Mexico’s most populous state turned its back on decades of single-party rule, deciding to move forward with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s ruling Morena party over the long-dominant Institutional Revolutionary Party. The preliminary forecast from electoral authorities Sunday night indicated a victory for Delfina Gómez in the State of Mexico that was confirmed a short time later by Alejandra del Moral’s concession speech. Official ballot counting continued through the night. The result was a new low for the PRI, which governed Mexico uninterrupted for 71 years until losing power in 2000 and had ruled the State of Mexico for even longer until its loss Sunday.
Growing protests in Serbia over mass shootings (NYT) Protests in Serbia over back-to-back mass shootings last month ballooned on Saturday into the biggest street demonstrations in the capital, Belgrade, since demonstrators toppled Slobodan Milosevic as Serbia’s president in 2000. Weekly “Serbia Against Violence” protests have been gathering momentum since early May when two massacres—one at a school in Belgrade, the second in nearby villages—killed 18 people and set off a wave of public revulsion at what critics of the country’s strongman leader, Aleksandar Vucic, denounce as a “culture of violence” promoted by the government and loyal media outlets. Saturday’s protest, the fifth and biggest by far, increased pressure on Mr. Vucic to meet at least some of the protesters’ demands. Those demands include the dismissal of senior law enforcement officials and the withdrawal of broadcasting licenses from pro-government television stations notorious for airing violent reality shows and ignoring opposition politicians.
In Russian Schools, It’s Recite Your ABC’s and ‘Love Your Army’ (NYT) A new version of the ABC’s in Russia’s Far East starts with “A is for Army, B is for Brotherhood”—and injects a snappy phrase with every letter, like, “Love your Army.” A swim meet in the southern city of Magnitogorsk featured adolescents diving into the pool wearing camouflage uniforms, while other competitors slung model Kalashnikov rifles across their backs. “Snipers” was the theme adopted for math classes at an elementary school in central Russia, with paper stars enumerating would-be bullet holes on a target drawn on the chalkboard. As the war in Ukraine rolls into its 16th month, educational programs across Russia are awash in lessons and extracurricular activities built around military themes and patriotism. These efforts are part of an expansive Kremlin campaign to militarize Russian society, to train future generations to revere the army and to further entrench President Vladimir V. Putin’s narrative that “a real war has once again been unleashed on our motherland,” as he declared in a sober address at a ceremony last month.
At least 80 Afghan students—mostly girls—poisoned in school, all alive (Washington Post) More than 80 Afghan students and teachers—most of them girls—were apparently poisoned over the past two days, local officials said Monday, in incidents that, while causing no critical injuries, mirrored recent attacks on schoolgirls in neighboring Iran. According to witness accounts, students and teachers immediately fell unconscious after entering their classrooms, suggesting that a gas may have been used, said a village elder who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the subject. Shafiullah Rahimi, a spokesman for the Ministry of Disaster Management, said that “in one school, three teachers and 60 students were affected. In the second school, four teachers and 22 students were affected.” In neighboring Iran, human rights watchdog Amnesty International had counted 300 suspected gas attacks in more than 100 girls schools by late April, prompting anxiety and frustration among students and parents, some of whom said they may stop sending their children to school. In Afghanistan, girls’ education has become one of the most divisive issues over the past 20 months since the Taliban took over.
Rescuers in Japan search for 3 missing in or near rivers swollen by heavy rains last week (AP) Rescue workers in Japan searched Monday for three people who went missing in or near rivers swollen by heavy rains last week that left one person dead and dozens injured. A man in his 60s who was pulled from a flooded car Friday in the central city of Toyohashi was pronounced dead over the weekend. In Wakayama prefecture, a woman was seen being swept into a swollen river while driving and an older man who went to check on a friend in a riverside neighborhood is also believed to have been swept away. On Monday, residents were cleaning up in flood-hit parts of Iwata city in Shizuoka, where a river bank was breached and dozens of homes were flooded. The residents, helped by volunteers, shoveled out mud that gushed into their houses, washed the floors and brought out mud-smeared furniture.
More than 2 million people displaced, Burkina Faso’s government says, as aid falls short (AP) Violence linked to al-Qaida and the Islamic State group has made Burkina Faso a country with one of the world’s fastest-growing populations of internally displaced people, with the number mushrooming by more than 2,000% since 2019, according to government data. Figures released last month showed more than 2 million people are internally displaced in the West African nation, the majority of them women and children, fueling a dire humanitarian crisis as the conflict pushed people from their homes, off their farms and into congested urban areas or makeshift camps. Aid groups and the government are scrambling to respond amid a lack of funds and growing needs. One in four people requires aid, and tens of thousands are facing catastrophic levels of hunger. Yet not even half of the $800 million humanitarian response budget requested last year by aid groups was funded, according to the United Nations.
ChatGPT took their jobs (Washington Post) When ChatGPT came out last November, Olivia Lipkin, a 25-year-old copywriter in San Francisco, didn’t think too much about it. Then, articles about how to use the chatbot on the job began appearing on internal Slack groups at the tech start-up where she worked as the company’s only writer. Over the next few months, Lipkin’s assignments dwindled. Managers began referring to her as “Olivia/ChatGPT” on Slack. In April, she was let go without explanation, but when she found managers writing about how using ChatGPT was cheaper than paying a writer, the reason for her layoff seemed clear. “Whenever people brought up ChatGPT, I felt insecure and anxious that it would replace me,” she said. “Now I actually had proof that it was true, that those anxieties were warranted and now I was actually out of a job because of AI.” Experts say that even advanced AI doesn’t match the writing skills of a human: It lacks personal voice and style, and it often churns out wrong, nonsensical or biased answers. But for many companies, the cost-cutting is worth a drop in quality. “We’re really in a crisis point,” said Sarah T. Roberts, an associate professor at University of California in Los Angeles specializing in digital labor. “[AI] is coming for the jobs that were supposed to be automation-proof.”

The program offers a maximum rebate of $6,000 for residential customers and $50,000 for commercial customers, which can significantly reduce the upfront cost of installing solar panels.
If you're considering installing solar panels in Dilworth, you can expect to pay an average of $14,000 to $20,000 for a typical 6 kW system. However, by taking advantage of the Duke Energy Solar Rebate Program, you could receive a rebate of up to $6,000, reducing your out-of-pocket costs to around $8,000 to $14,000. That's a significant savings, and it's one reason why the Duke Energy Solar Rebate Program is so popular among Charlotte residents.
Solarize Charlotte, NC

If you're in Plaza-Midwood, you can expect to pay an average of $12,000 to $18,000 for a typical 6 kW system. However, by working with Solarize Charlotte, you could save up to 15% on the cost of solar installation. That's a savings of $1,800 to $2,700, which can make solar power much more affordable.
Federal Solar Tax Credits Charlotte, NC
Finally, if you're curious about the cost to install solar panels in Myers Park, you can reach out to local solar companies to get a solar panel estimate. The cost of solar installation in Myers Park can vary depending on a number of factors, including the size of the system, the complexity of the installation process, and the type of solar panels you choose.

And with so many solar installation rebates, quotes, and estimates available in Dilworth, Plaza-Midwood, and Myers Park, there's never been a better time to go solar in Charlotte.

Creators first!
FredFilms Postcard Series 3.4
Great films are always known as a collaboration. But it’s also true that great films, like all wonderful art, start as one person’s vision.*
Sure, we’ve all heard of movies and series where that original spark is then added to with lots of other voices. That’s fine when it works, but it’s not the way I prefer to do things.
I’ve written before about how working with world class jazz musicians helped me forge the path toward becoming a cartoon producer. When I got into animation I think I’d learned that putting the right person in the room –the creator*– was the way I wanted to work for the rest of my life.
First at Hanna-Barbera, then at Frederator, my career has been honored by the presence of amazing creative vision. Creator’s vision. I am lucky.
Now, at FredFilms, nothing’s changed.
Creators first!
* And yes, the “creator” can be partnership of two or three people. In my experience, one or two is works best, but on rare occasions, three can do it.

The Family that Shouldn’t Be
Summary: With Muriel and Eustace dead, Courage finds himself all alone at the farmhouse. Fortunately or unfortunately for Courage, the villains he faced in the past begins to make themselves at home at the farmhouse, bringing with them much fun and mayhem the small pink dog can handle.
Rated T for just in case
All Courage the Cowardly Dog character belongs to John Dilworth
I was intending to finish this chapter last night and I was almost done with it, but the typhoon had knocked out my power and it was out until a little after 8 pm tonight. I'm just so happy I saved what I had typed and didn't have to recreate whatever I might’ve lost. Since I have two Courage fanfics I'm going to alternate between writing them so I don't end up neglecting either one. My second Courage fanfic is going to be mature and I don’t think I can post it here so you can find it on FanFiction.net or Archive of Our Own and it’s called Keeping Secrets
The Duck Who Brought Back the Windmill Vandals
֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍֍
It turned out the fox decided to extend his stay at the farmhouse by claiming he needed a place to lie low until he's sure the fox hunt was over — much to Katz's annoyance. Katz and Cajun Fox were like water and oil. The fox's laid-back personality and messy behavior clashed with Katz's calm and sadistic nature and his need for order and cleanliness, and those two were continually arguing with each other like a married couple. One such case was when Cajun Fox decided he would cook for all of them every day, and Katz objected to the idea, saying they will all take turns making dinner each night. It would've fallen on deaf ears if Courage didn't take Katz's side. Another problem Katz seemed to have with the fox was that not only would he make enough for five or six people, but their grocery bill had skyrocketed thanks to the fox.
The problem was brought up by Katz, who said with the way Cajun had them spent on the food, they were better off trying to grow their food in the garden behind the house. So, a few days afterward, as Katz drove all three to the city, Cajun spied a nursery next to the road. Whether Cajun was excited to see the nursery or impatient for Katz to pull over to it, he had grabbed at the wheel. Their truck swerved along the road as fox and cat fought for the wheel, both yelling at each other, while Courage, sitting between the fox and cat, screamed in wanton terror as they sped towards a truck. Luckily, they swerved out the way at the last second and came to a stop next to the nursery.
Both Courage's teeth and body shook in fear as he gripped the dashboard in a death grip as his blunt canine claws dug into it.
"You crazy, suicidal, moronic, backwater fox!" Katz screamed, turning towards Cajun Fox.
Courage never saw Katz so angry before. Oh, he has seen him angry plenty of times in the past, but never has he seen fur raised all over his body angry before.
Cajun crossed his arms. "I take offense to that backwater remark. Besides, you're the one that said we're better off growing our food."
"You could've gotten us all killed!" Katz stated.
"But we ain't dead, now are we?" Cajun replied nonchalantly as he got the passenger door open.
Katz swore as the fox hopped out the truck and raced for the nursery. Once calm, Courage was at a loss at what to do. He wanted to go after Cajun Fox, but he didn't want to leave Katz. He surveyed the feline's face and saw Katz pinching the bridge of his nose with his eyes closed and his fur still partly raised.
"Katz?" Courage voiced out with caution.
"Go, dog. I'll be there momentarily once I no longer desire to skin the fox and sell his pelt to an old rich woman." Katz informed the dog.
Courage didn't hesitate to comply; Courage jumped down and gently closed the door so as not to get on Katz's simmering temper. The nursery had a small building in front that held the register, garden tools, plant food, outdoor furniture, and seeds. Behind the building was a large greenhouse, and to the left were the bushes and sapling trees, and to the right were tables placed in rows with potted plants on top and potted plants hanging from the rafters.
Courage was able to spot Cajun Fox as he looked at some plants, a cart next to him already had some plants placed in it. Courage made his way over to the fox to see what he had. Looking at the images sticking out the dirt, Courage saw Cajun and chosen green, red, orange, and yellow peppers and that he was looking at some hot peppers.
Courage looked at the table across from them to see what it held. Courage and Muriel rarely went into nurseries like this one. Anytime Muriel wanted to grow something, Eustace would refuse to allow them in one, "Too expensive." being his constant excuse, thus the only place Muriel would be able to buy any plants or seeds were from the store they bought their groceries in or when she would receive seeds as a gift with whatever she purchased. Muriel always tried to grow something on the farm, and Eustace repeatedly whined that he could never produce anything. Courage knew the reason the farmer could never grow anything was simply that he never really tried, and if Eustace tried, he didn't put any effort into it and then whined when he didn't get the result he wanted.
"What'cha think, pup?" Cajun asked, pulling Courage out of his thoughts.
Courage turned his attention towards Cajun, who held up a potted plant to the dog. After making their careful selections, Cajun and Courage went to pay for their plants. Courage hadn't seen Katz at all. He even glanced around every chance he got looking for the cat. He worried at first until both he and the fox walked into the building, and the dog spotted Katz looking at one the books in the corner of the room. Courage wasn't sure why he was relieved to see him. The dog was about to take a step when a rack holding seed packets caught his eyes. He spun the tray, looking at each seed packet until he got to the corn.
Other than sweet corn and popcorn seeds but also blue corn and what was more intriguing was a packet of rainbow corn seeds. Courage never saw corn like it before, and each corn kernel looked like a gemstone. Courage plucked the seed packet off the rack and read the instruction on the back. Courage intended to put the package back, but someone snatched it from the dog's paws.
"What's this? Corn?" Cajun inquired, looking at the item in his paw. "Pretty. Didn't see you as the type to like pretty things."
Courage chuckled, clearly embarrassed. Cajun held onto the package and not only picked out the blue corn but other different variety of corn seeds.
"Not sure if corn will grow in the desert, but we can still it give a try," Cajun stated.
"Are you quite done?" Katz asked after joining the two.
"Where you been, pussy cat?" Cajun asked the cat.
Katz's eye twitched and said calmly, "I've been reading up on gardening." he directed his attention to Courage. "I never understood why the Bagges have hay in the barn, but we make compost we can add them to help the vegetables grow."
That was a brilliant idea, and Courage was impressed.
"Can we go pay, or are you two gonna keep standing there making googly eyes at each other?" Cajun asked.
Courage blushed, and Katz growled. "I swear fox. . ." Courage attempted to stop Katz from causing a scene.
"Boy, I can't wait for these vegetables to grow!" Cajun Fox proclaimed.
"Mm-hm." Courage agreed.
The three made it back to the farmhouse with no problem. Katz had grabbed a shovel and smashed it against Cajun Fox's head, but other than that, it was all right. Katz had gone inside while Courage and Cajun worked on tilling the soil and planting the seeds and plants. Courage picked up the watering can and discovered it empty. He headed over to the water pump and was about to fill the watering can when he heard a noise.
"Huh?" curious, Courage followed the noise to the windmill. He approached the tall structure and looked up. His eyes widen in panic as he saw Le Quack at the top of the windmill tinkering with the engine.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!" screamed Courage.
"What's up, pup?" Cajun asked as he strolled over to Courage at the same time, Katz came out the kitchen door asking, "What is all the screaming about?"
Courage stood rooted to his spot as he shook and gibbered away.
"Is that Le Quack up there?" Cajun asked, shielding his eyes from the sun. Katz raised a brow at Cajun and wondered if the fox realized that he had sunglasses to block out the sun for him. The fox didn't notice Katz's expression as he hollered up, "What'cha doin' up there, Le Quack?"
Le Quack looked down at the three and went back to looking for a tool. "I fix the windmill for you."
"But it ain't broken," Cajun interjected.
"Observant, aren't we?" Katz said.
Katz couldn't see it, but Cajun glared at him behind his sunglasses.
"I break, then you pay me to fix it, oui?" Le Quack answered.
"He knows that since we're watchin' him break it, we ain't gonna pay to fix it, right?" Cajun inquired.
"I do not know how someone's mind works, so I can't say what Le Quack's thinking," Katz answered.
While all this was happening, memories of what happened when the windmill stopped ran rampant through Courage's brain until he ran screaming for the cellar door.
"For a small dog with tiny legs, he sure can run fast," Cajun commented, watching the dog go.
"Agreed," Katz said.
Courage didn't bother to open the cellar doors; he crashed through them. Clattering sounds drifted out the cellar as Courage rummaged around down there. He came back out carrying Eustace's old tool bag. Most of the tools had bits of rust on them, and they were cheap, but he hoped they would get the job done. Sweat poured off the dog as he climbed up the windmill and sat the tool bag down next to Le Quack.
"Qu'est-ce que ç'est? Go away." Le Quack tried to shoo Courage away, but he wouldn't budge.
The dog dug around the toolbox and pulled out a socket wrench. The dog tried to push the duck out the way and find what he did before the blades stopped.
"How annoying." Le Quack articulated and managed to kick Courage off the top.
Courage screamed as he fell but luckily grabbed hold of the tower. He looked up when he heard a terrible noise come from the motor and the blades come to a stop.
"Nooo!" he wailed as the sky turned red. "Oh, no."
"Skies shouldn't be this color of red," commented Cajun.
"I'm amazed at how observant you've been today," Katz told the fox as neither aware of the cloud of smoke coming right for them.
"You know what pussy cat, you can kiss my-"
The sound of a blade hitting flesh rend the air as Cajun Fox's body twitched. Courage screamed in horror as Katz stared at Cajun's headless body mystified. He felt a presence behind him, he turned and found himself face to face with one of the undead vandal's undead horse. The vandal swung his double-headed ax at Katz.
"Noooo!" Courage wailed again.
"I wish you hadn't done that," Katz said perturbed as the double-headed ax-wielding vandal held up the cat's head.
"Qu'est-ce que ç'est?" Le Quack asked, looking over the side at what's happening.
Coming out of his horrified state, Courage climbed back to the top. "You got to fix this!" he commanded the duck.
"And why should I?" Le Quack asked, crossing his wings over his chest.
"'Cus, they'll come after you next." Courage answered.
He could see Le Quack process that, and the duck said, "I fix ze windmill, oui?"
Courage nodded as Le Quack picked up a tool, the dog gulped as he jumped off the tower, screaming the whole way down. Air rushed out his lungs as he landed on something hard, bony, and moving. He looked behind him to see that he had landed on one of the vandal's steed. He made a strangled sound, and then his ears perked at the sound of "Pup!"
"Huh?" Courage wondered and looked down to see Cajun's head attached to the saddle.
"Help me out here!" implored Cajun.
Courage grabbed the fox's head and jumped off the horse. Courage landed on his bottom then got to his feet as the vandal turned his steed around and went after them. Courage once again belted out a scream as he noted the other three vandals came right at him. Before they got close, they vanished in the same cloud of smoke that brought the vandals to the farm. Courage stopped running and looked up to see the windmill blades turning. He sighed in relief.
"Ah, pup?" Courage looked up at Cajun's head, smiled sheepishly, and dashed over to Cajun's body.
He handed the head to the body, and Cajun said, "Thanks, pup." as he placed his head back onto his body.
Courage was relieved until he turned and was horrified to see Katz's body wandering around without its head. He forgot about Katz! The dog wailed as he recalled the first time the vandals appeared, they took Eustace's head first, and it had disappeared with the vandals when Courage got the windmill working temporarily. They needed to get the mill to stop working to bring back the vandals and get Katz's head. Courage hatched a plan, and he climbed up the windmill. Le Quack turned to him, "I have, how do you say, fixed the windmill."
"I need you to make it stop working for a bit." Courage informed him.
"Why, after telling me to fix it?" Le Quack asked.
"One of the vandals' took Katz's head, and we need to get it back," explained Courage.
Le Quack sighed. "Very well, I will jam the windmill."
"Jam it once I tell you to and fix it when I tell you, okay?" Courage told him.
"Oui." Le Quack answered.
Courage then climbed back down, and he quickly explained it to Cajun.
"You want me to be bait so you can retrieve the cat's head?" Cajun tried to clarify, and Courage nodded. "Ya know, I think pussy cat looks better like this. We won't have to continue listening to him be all high and mighty towards us."
Courage placed his paws on his hips and glared up at Cajun. "Just do it."
"Fine, fine. I'll run around for you." Cajun conceded.
Satisfied, Courage took Katz's hand and led him over to the windmill.
"Stay." Courage didn't notice the irony of a dog commanding a cat to stay. Courage stayed near the windmill and called up, "Are you ready, Le Quack?"
"Oui," answered Le Quack.
"Are you ready, Cajun?" Courage asked the fox.
"No!" was Cajun's answer.
"Do it!" Courage instructed Le Quack.
The windmill came to a squeaking stop, and the clouds came back. Cajun pelted out a scream and took off as the vandals gave chase. Sweat flew off Courage as he frantically looked for Katz's head among the vandals. Where is it? Where is it? There! He spotted Katz's head attached to the double-headed ax-wielding vandal's steed. Courage took off after the vandal. The dog panted as he worked his legs to run faster, he leaped and snatched Katz's head.
Courage landed on the ground and stared into Katz's stony eyes. "Yay!" he declared happily.
"Ahhh! Move your puppy dog tail!" Cajun screamed as he ran past, one paw attempting to keep his head attached to his neck.
Courage looked back and screamed at the vandals coming his way with their weapons held up high. Courage ran off in the same direction as Cajun and screamed as loud as he could. "Now! Now!"
The sword-wielding vandal came closer and closer towards Courage; he swung his sword down and towards the dog's neck. Courage felt the air against the back of his neck. He stopped and gasping to catch his breath found the vandals gone. He sighed in relief.
"My dear boy." Courage looked down at the head in his paws. "A little help getting back onto my body would be appreciated."
Courage chuckled nervously and walked over to Katz's wandering body again. He handed the feline's head over to Katz's body and watched as Katz set his head back onto his neck.
"Thank you. . . Courage." Katz expressed his gratitude.
Courage was surprised, never hearing Katz call him by his name before. But he smiled and said, "I'm just glad you're okay."
Katz gave Courage a strange look and turned away. Courage wanted to ask him what was wrong when Cajun said, "I'm fine too, thanks for asking."
Whatever Katz was going to say to the fox died when Le Quack came down the windmill and said, "I get paid now, oui?"
"Paid?!" Katz and Cajun bellowed at the same time.
Courage let out a sigh, decided to get a drink for his aching throat, and leaving Katz and Cajun to deal with Le Quack.

Spring Fling: Pop-up Show & Magazine Launch
PRESENTS:
Spring Fling: A Pop-Up Show & Magazine Launch
Curated by Fran Holstrom, in collaboration with Aquarius Studios in Ridgewood, Queens
Aquarius proudly presents Spring Fling, our first gallery exhibition, in collaboration with Neesh Interactive. This pop-up exhibition considers a selection of artists featured in the print publication, “Neesh, Issue No. 1, Spring 2017”, produced by the curator and founder of Neesh, Fran Holstrom. Neesh offers a sample of the distinct conceptual and material motivations utilized in the emerging art scene at large. Please join us for an opening reception featuring works by:
Wm. Dilworth Jennifer Grimyser Eric Hibit Katarina Jerinic Matt Miller Opening: Friday, April 7th, 7-9pm On view:  Saturdays April 8th & 15th, Noon - 6pm
Bill Dilworth’s practice centers on mark-making, and involves a variety of novel approaches. The artist’s body is an instrument to skoot, push and smear paint: oversize canvases record footwork in action, while meandering installations record the artist’s fingerprints as they feel their way around the room. Dilworth also incorporates a conceptual practice that notes the passage of time, finds connections in nature, and across linguistic patterns.
Jennifer Grimyser’s photographs have the professional polish of a glossy magazine, yet use none of the digital tricks. Each photograph is painstakingly constructed in the studio. The resulting images have a heavy graphic nature, tight cropping, and pictorial flattening, yet provide visual clues to help the viewer navigate. Words, symbols, and diagrams are placed within the image concretely, often casting shadows, while 3D imagery is collapsed to freely intermingle in the textual field.
Eric Hibit’s paintings are characterized by crisp imagery and exquisite detail. Lovingly considered from conception to the final embellishments, Hibit excels in two tandem modes of painting: one flat, representational and intimately scaled, the other abstract and constructed to bulge off the wall. Textiles such as tapestry and needlepoint have influenced his repeated gesture, evidenced in the application of innumerable hand-painted dots.
Katarina Jerinic draws attention to our interactions with the built landscape. Katarina’s artwork manifests itself in maps, suites of photographs, walking tours, videos, and handmade editions. The project Beautification This Site, document Jerinic’s interaction with a leftover piece of land acquired through the Department of Transportation’s Adopt-A-Highway Program.  This series of photographs exemplify the artist’s dark humor centering on the notion of ‘territory’ in its expectant state.
Matt Miller builds each painting through an idiosyncratic dance of reductive and additive processes. Embracing dissonance with anachronistic color and dense gestures, Miller’s raw, underworked aesthetic is the result of a time-consuming process. The resulting pocks in the ground and raised surface of each brushstroke are often a springboard for the addition of yet more collapsed shapes, that add dimensionality until the painting pushes towards sculpture.  work relies on deeply textured, bold, expressionist brushstrokes.
Neesh features emerging artists making original, collectible work from their extensive network, and encourages dialogue with the artists. Visit www.neesh.io to request a studio visit or buy artwork online.

Căn phòng chứa cả tấn đất trị giá một triệu USD
New Post has been published on https://cdn.halosaigon.com.vn/2020/11/02/can-phong-chua-ca-tan-dat-tri-gia-mot-trieu-usd/

Breaking down some of Auburn’s top targets in next year’s class.
Yesterday, 247 dropped their new top 247 for the 2022 class. No Auburn commits made the cut but a number of top targets were included. Here’s a breakdown of some early names to know at each position.
Quarterback
5-star Quinn Ewers
4-star MJ Morris
4-star Ty Simpson
4-star Jacurri Brown
3-star Tanner Bailey
Auburn already has its quarterback for the 2021 class in Dematrius Davis thus allowing Chad Morris to shift his attention to finding his man for the 2022 cycle. I have previously written about Morris, Simpson and Bailey. The new name to highlight today is the nation’s top ranked player Quinn Ewers.
Ewers is being billed by 247 as the best QB prospect since Trevor Lawrence. The Southlake Carroll star threw for over 4,000 yards last season tossing 40 touchdowns while only throwing 3 picks. 247’s Crystal Balls and RivalsCast have four total picks for Oklahoma being his eventual school of choice but based off a recent interview with 247’s Steve Wiltfong, Ohio State might actually be the team to beat. Team number 2? That could very well be the Auburn Tigers:
“Obviously they’re one of the most watched football teams every year,” Ewers said. “Just that moment and playing for Auburn with all their fans and millions watching online, it’s crazy to think about playing in front of that big of crowd and atmosphere, it’s just crazy.
“Coach Morris is awesome. I’ve known him for a little bit and I know people coached by him and they say he’s an awesome coach. Even my coaches at my high school have been coached by him at Lake Travis and say he’s an awesome guy to get coached by. Really smart.”
He was scheduled to visit the Plains before the pandemic broke and visits were cancelled. I expect him to make that trek eventually though once visits are allowed again. While it will be tough for Auburn to win this race, it’s clear the Tigers are a major factor alongside Clemson (who has yet to offer but could soon), Ohio State, Oklahoma and Texas. I still believe Simpson is the likeliest man to be Auburn’s 2022 QB commit but Auburn is a legitimate candidate to snag the best player in next year’s class.
Running Back
4-star Emmanuel Henderson
4-star Jaydon Blue
4-star Kody Jones
3-star Quinshon Judkins
3-star Trevor Etienne
The recruitment likely to dominate Auburn fans attention next cycle is Emmanuel Henderson’s. Ranked the nation’s best running back in the 2022 class by 247 and #21 overall, Henderson is one of the most explosive offensive playmakers in next year’s class. He rushed for nearly 2,000 yards last fall and 32 touchdowns for Geneva County. Interestingly, 247’s player comp for Henderson is Kerryon Johnson. The Tigers are believed to be the early favorite but this is going to an Iron Bowl battle to the finish. Could Carnell Williams sign three straight top 5 running backs? That’s where things are heading for the moment. Cadillac is working hard to return Auburn to RBU glory.
Wide Receiver
4-star Greg Gaines
4-star Janiran Bonner
4-star Koji Antwi
4-star Randy Masters
3-star Quincy McAdoo
Following an outstanding 2020 class, it’s been a bit of a struggle on the trail for Kodi Burns in the 2021 cycle. There are still some big names on the board though and with athletes like Tar’varish Dawson and Landen King already committed, Auburn can afford to be picky. As for the 2022 cycle, it’s so early that’s it’s a bit difficult to get a good handle on the WR board. Bonner recently told InsideThe AuburnTigers’s Jason Caldwell that Auburn’s offer was a big deal and Texas native Randy Masters appears to be close with Dematrius Davis. This is a position that will likely become more clear in the coming months.
Tight End
4-star Donovan Green
4-star Holden Staes
As long as Chad Morris is on staff, I expect Auburn to try and sign at least one tight end every cycle. But given the recent success on the trail signing talented tight ends, Auburn might be able to skip it in 2022 if they can’t get a truly elite target.
Offensive Line
4-star Kelvin Banks
4-star Addison Nichols
4-star Kam Dewberry
3-star Dayne Shor
3-star Cameron Williams
Kanaya Charlton
The early returns on Jack Bicknell Jr as a recruiter have been pretty durn good. If he can somehow reel in any of 5-star Tommy Bockermeyer, 5-star Amarius Mims, 4-star Savion Byrd or 4-star James Brockermeyer this class immediately becomes one of the best Auburn has signed in some time. Even without any of those names it’s a strong group. The Tigers are likely to sign at least 5 OL in the 2021 class and could go as high as 6.
For 2022, I expect Auburn to sign a smaller group but hopefully not the tiny ones of cycles past. In my opinion, Auburn should aim to sign 4 offensive lineman every cycle. You don’t wanna just take bodies to have them so signing 3 on the occasion isn’t terrible but if Auburn can consistently bring in 4 man classes, depth should not be a problem moving forward.
In next year’s cycle you can really see Bicknell’s philosophy at work. It’s clear Auburn’s new OL coach prefers to target bigger players that can play tackle with the option to slide inside over Grimes’s preference of guards that he converts to tackles. Of Auburn’s 15 offensive line offers for 2022, 14 are to players listed as offensive tackles per 247. That single interior lineman, Kanaya Chartlon, is 6’6” 329 lbs. Bicknell is going to sign some big fellas.
The two names to keep the closest eye on early are Banks and Shor. Banks recently decommitted from Oklahoma State and is interested in visiting Auburn per Keith Niebuhr. Shor is an Auburn legacy who the Tigers made an early priority going back to Grimes’s tenure. Expect more names to emerge in the coming months. Also expect those names to be of very large human beings.
Defensive Line
4-star Khurtiss Perry
4-star Mykel Williams
4-star Justice Finkley
4-star Tyre West
4-star Caden Story
There is a lot of DL talent in the states of Alabama and Georgia in the 2022 cycle. That’s obviously a very good thing for the Tigers as you will be hard pressed to find a better recruiter of those states than Rodney Garner. The Tigers have a chance to once again sign a loaded DL class in 2021. Don’t expect that to change in 2022 either. Perry is a name to keep a close eye on as he’s been heavily recruited by not only Garner but by Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn since he was an 8th grader. That will be a heated battle between the two instate programs.
Linebacker
4-star Daniel Martin
4-star Jalon Walker
4-star Jaron Willis
4-star TJ Dudley
4-star Harold Perkins
After signing a loaded 2020 class, Travis Williams has only 1 maybe 2 spots to work with in 2021. That’s why the focus has been on elite targets 5-star Smael Mondon, 4-star Xavian Sorey and 4-star Barrett Carter. However, in 2022, T-WILL should have more spots to work with which is good news as next year’s linebacker class is loaded.
Three of Auburn’s top targets are already ranked in the top 100 for next year’s cycle. Both Daniel Martin and Jaron Willis are GA natives so you know the Tigers will have to fight hard to steal them from Kirby Smart. LSU is also a program to keep an eye on with Martin. Jalon Walker is a North Carolina native who already holds an offer from Clemson. Those are going to be some big time battles, something Travis Williams makes a frequent habit of participating in.
Instate wise, TJ Dudley already holds offers from both Auburn and Alabama. He’s only been to Auburn once so undoubtedly once visits are allowed again, the Tigers will work hard to get him back on campus as soon as possible. Coach T-WILL has quickly turned Auburn’s linebacker corps into one of the best in the country and I don’t see that changing soon. If KJ Britt and/or Owen Pappoe can hear their names called in the 1st round, it would add some serious ammunition to Williams’s already formidable recruiting pitch.
Defensive Back
4-star Denver Harris
4-star Trequon Fegans
4-star Bobby Taylor
3-star Jaylin Marshall
3-star Andre Stewart (Auburn Commit)
3-star Brian Dilworth (Auburn Commit)
Dominick Fields
Dainsus Miller
TJ Banks
Auburn’s 2022 DB recruiting is off to a strong start. The Tigers lone two pledges in the 2022 class are both DBs. I suspect Auburn will attempt to sign a minimum of four DBs in this class, probably more.
The two top men on the board, Denver Harris and Trequon Fagans, have some positive connections to the Tigers. Auburn has made some tremendous inroads into North Shore this past cycle landing Dematrius Davis and Jaeden Roberts. They are still trying to flip Shadrach Banks as well. In the 2022 class, Denver Harris will be the most coveted member of the Mustangs and Auburn is deep in this race.
As for Fegans, he’s a standout at Oxford High School. The same program KJ Britt starred at before coming to the Plains. Auburn also recently offered Fegans’s teammate Roc Taylor. If they can flip Taylor that sure wouldn’t hurt their chances with Fegans.
Bobby Taylor is another Texan strongly considering the Tigers. He included Auburn in his top 12 earlier this month. Dominick Fields also listed Auburn in his top group this past weekend. Both are names to watch closely in next year’s cycle.

Finally, Auburn was the first program to offer Fairhope star TJ Banks doing so last week. Tennessee immediately followed suit. Banks has a number of family members that attended Auburn and given the Tigers being the first to pull the trigger, you have to like Auburn’s chances early. Long way to go and it looks unlikely any decisions will come in 2020.

Factors You Should Consider Before Buying Land Lot in Kelowna
First of all congratulations to you as you reached a point where you decided to buy a piece of a land lot in Kelowna. It is a very tedious process to understand and get through it. As you have to understand many factors like location, terms and conditions, communities, amenities and other things. Dilworth Quality Homes brings you this article to help you as a guide to understanding the whole process of before and after buying a Land lot in Kelowna.
Tumblr media
1. Examine the Location:
Once you’ve picked your region, you need to watch out the exact location of your plot. What kind of view do you have? What amenities are you close to? Who are your neighbors? If they are farmers, keep in mind stinky odors from could be issue to tackle in future. What might the neighboring area be used for in the future? Are you under a flight path? If your land lot is rural, how will you obtain it? Examine how building materials will be delivered to the house? If you’re in the middle of nowhere, delivery costs and logistics need to be factored into the budget. Confirm whether the plot is connected to electric, gas, sewerage and water. If not, connection costs will need to factor into your budget. Along with, verify whether you have good internet and mobile phone access.
2 ) Examine the land properly:
Some plots might be comfortable, but if they aren’t suitable to build on you could find yourself stuck with a piece of land that’s impossible to sell. Also, whether it is big enough to construct your dream house on, is the site is inclined? What’s the soil like? Will it be feasible to construct safe/solid buildings? Check look at the water table on your piece of the plot, the wet level will decide whether or not you can build on the land, and what type of property can be built. Observing this at an early stage will save you money. Leveling out land to be able to build on it can be very expensive, so keep that in mind if you’re looking at a plot on the side of a mountain. Also, are there any obstacles that could affect the build, i.e. water pipes, electricity pylons, trees, existing buildings?
3) Do you obtain a building permit?
Before you start the building, you must purchase a building permit. These permits are the official go-ahead to break land and are issued by your local government department. The permit holds a unique number and the document must be clearly noticeable on the construction site. Usually, the builder or architect will take care of this, but if you are taking the project on yourself – it’s down to you. Building inspectors can come to the site at any time. Should your permit not be displayed correctly, you will foot the bill – even if the builder or architect is the one who applied for the permit in the first place!
4 ) How is land zoned?
Some plots of land have been zoned, which means they are subject to restrictions on what can be built. This could influence where you build your property, what you’re allowed to do on the land and other things. Make sure you check particulars with the realtor before you decide.
One of the major benefits of building your own house is that you can, budget is in your hands. You can increase it or decrease it at any moment. You can save capital in a number of ways. Always look for multiple quotes to assure the price. While it might be attractive to go with the cheapest option, but always do your research to find out the reason for the low price. If you’re not worried about working with an architect to design a home that is completely unique, you can save a considerable sum by choosing an existing home design. It will help you by saving the cost of the architect efforts, which can cut a considerable amount from your budget.
Everyone who is constructing their property should think about, how eco-friendly their property is.
