Thomas Hewitt:
This is exactly how you ended up in bum fuck Texas. You can’t tell me otherwise.
 However, getting lost wasn’t the worst thing that could happen because you met the biggest sweetheart you've ever met, Thomas.
Thomas, however, gets really stressed out about how easily you get lost. He’s very protective of the people he cares about and the first time you got lost he assumed you got kidnapped or were murdered. He wandered around the area all night to look for you.
He was so relieved when he found you mostly uninjured and promptly escorted you back to the house. From that point on he would either walk with you if you ever needed to leave the house or if he couldn’t he’d ask his momma who was always happy to oblige.
Hoyt makes fun of you for it but shuts up when Thomas or Luda Mae glare at him. Monty just thinks it's funny.
Bubba Sawyer:
You could have sworn the turn off the freeway was supposed to take you to California and not…..wherever you were.
Luckily there was a gas station and you were able to stop to try and ask for directions.
Drayton was nice about trying to give you directions but honestly, you couldn’t follow them at all.
Nubbins doesn’t get what's so hard about it but then again my dude practically lives on the road.
Bubba on the other hand thinks is kind of cute. You always get so flustered when he has to come to get you when you wander a little far from the house and get lost.
He doesn’t mind though. Just another excuse to hold your hand.
Michael Myers:
He was just as confused as you were when you emerged from the bushes claiming that your house was on the other side. When you realized it was the Myers’ house and not yours you felt so embarrassed.
Feeling defeated you finally realized that Michael was standing there and not noticing who you were speaking to you tried to ask him for directions.
He just stared at you for an uncomfortable amount of time but then motioned for you to just follow him.
If Michael can figure out how to drive home from Smith’s Grove he could figure out where you live. Though, why he was helping you is a question that he can’t answer. Maybe he pitied you or thought it was cute. Who knows? Certainly not him. But since then he was usually the first one to find you when you got lost. It was almost like he was following you.
Jason Voorhees:
You caught Jason off guard when you suddenly knocked on the door of his cabin to ask for directions. He wasn’t going to answer the door at first but when he saw how scared and frustrated you looked he couldn’t help himself.
He also caught you off guard. You heard rumors of a possible bogeyman who murders campers but when he opened the door you were too distracted by his sexy broad chest.
After attempting to get your brain to think you explain to him that you're lost and needed help getting back to the camp.
This confused him a bit. The camp was maybe half a mile away from his cabin in one direction. He tried to explain this the best he could using hand motions but the confused look on your face was more than enough to tell him that you weren’t getting it.
He didn’t like going near the camp in broad daylight but he also knew if you stayed too long people would start to look for you. So, he sucked it up and escorted you as close to camp as he could.
As you walked behind him you couldn’t help but wonder about his back muscles, or his arm muscles, or really any part of his body that may or may not be muscular.
Since then, just to get to see him, you would purposely get lost in the woods. He picked up on this pretty quickly and was rather flattered that you wanted to spend time with him.
Brahms Heelshire:
Oh Lord, you got back way late from leaving the house and to say Brahms was upset is an understatement. He didn’t even want you to leave in the first place but Malcome was out of town and you needed groceries.
He understood the need for food but for you to be so late coming back was unacceptable. He was so scared that you left him and that thought was absolutely unbearable.
It took a few hours of constant attention for him to calm down enough for you to explain that you have a poor sense of direction. That learning to drive on the left side of the road was very disorienting for you and didn’t help the situation at all.
It felt like he ignored your explanation, or was just not accepting it. He just held you tightly and told you that you weren't allowed to leave the house anymore. That the two of you could figure something else out.
Pyramid Head:
Silent Hill was a big place with lots of labyrinthian-like areas due to rubble, fences, or monsters. So, getting lost was understandable since it was very easy. Especially if you didn’t really know the place.
That's ok! Pyramid Head didn’t mind walking with you around town. In fact, he preferred it so that he could protect you from said monsters, or really anything that he considered to be dangerous.
However, there was one day that you left on your own in search of supplies. You figured you knew the area well enough but boy were you wrong.
About an hour of walking passes and you were sure you had passed the same bus stop bench at least 20 times now.
After seeing it for the 21st time you decided to just sit on it with a sigh while you wished your monster man was here with you.
As if on cue, the big man himself sits right next to you on the bench. Seeing him was a huge relief for you. You wrapped your arms around his and leaned in close; his cold skin feeling nice against the heat of your face.
Ghostface (Billy and Stu):
When it happened the first time Stu and Billy didn’t give you any flack for getting lost. It happens to everyone at some point. Especially since you're new to the area.
But when it happened a 4th time and in the same area. Stu couldn’t stop cracking jokes.
He’d say “On the fifth, we get a free t-shirt” or “Every time we have to get you you owe me a kiss, take out, and/or 5 bucks”
 Billy thinks this is rather endearing. He likes being needed for something so simple and the smile on your face when you see him walk up makes him feel good.
He's a patient guy and he likes helping you out when he can. It's a nice change of pace.
Legion (Frank):
How’d you manage to get lost in the entity’s realm?
Cause like… there's only one real place to go for survivors outside of the trials and yet here you were…standing in front of Frank who definitely knew you were there and totally didn’t get scared when you popped up.
You explained to him that you got bored and decided to go for a walk but the fog around the area was really thick and made it difficult for you to see.
“Uh huh ... .That's an acceptable answer,” his voice very obviously full of sarcasm as he crossed his arms over his chest.
His attitude frustrated you and you attempted to leave. He stopped you and tried to apologize but it was half-assed.
However, his face turned serious as he explained that it would be best if he led you back to the campfire. When you asked him why he continued on explaining that you were really lucky that it was him you ran into and not someone more dangerous who would have run you down without a second thought.
Ok, you had to admit, that was a pretty scary thought. So, you just let the man escort you back but on the way, you talked and found that you hit it off really well. Maybe you should get lost more often.
Jennifer Check:
You never really knew how but Jennifer was always able to find you when you got lost. She’d call herself a bitch but it was like she had your scent and could track you.
It bothered you a bit at first but you quickly got used to it since you got lost fairly often. It's not your fault that walking to music causes your mind to wander to the point where you’re no longer on this plane of existence. Who else is going to enjoy the music videos that your fake scenarios make up?
Jennifer would scold you when she found you and then pull you into a tight hug. She liked keeping you close and safe from people who could snatch you away. Her chest would get tight when it took longer than normal to find you.
You’d always apologize to her in kisses, cuddles, and take-out. In fact, she demanded it as payment for making her worry so much.

Ghostface's accidentally hurting you during their murders headcanons
(1587 words)
Tumblr media
Billy Loomis
--- however, you ended up getting hurt if he was there when it happened, he would panic whether he was in costume or not. It’s a mix of hurting you and fears if hesitates to attack you it might make him look suspicious.
--- After whatever happened he would urge you to leave town or not go to Stu’s party since he uses the excuse it is a “breeding ground for murder” but since he’s going to the party you called him out for being a hypocrite.
--- At some point, he runs out of excuses and either drops it or confesses to being Ghostface to you. If he tells you the Ghostface before you can freak out, he tells you his whole story, but it most likely does not sway, you are not really. Depending on how close you were to him, you might have even agreed not to tell anyone or even help. As much as I would like to think that you wouldn't report him to the police you probably would, but you don’t really have any evidence.
Tumblr media
Stu Matcher
--- Stu is very protective of you before anything actually happens, but when something does happen however it does, he is very guilty. When you get injured if he’s the one who does it he tries his best to retreat. If he is not, he is the first to you if he's there when it happens.
--- After you are injured, he might not even throw the party or at least he would keep it smaller so you would not know about it, so you don’t come since he and Billy have plans with Sidney that night.
--- Billy would probably not be happy that he was reconsidering their plans because of you. Stu might even back out if he were to back out, he would probably be killed so he probably does not do that. Stu most likely still throws the party, just turns on Billy last minute, or tries to minimize the fallout of the murders for your sake.
Tumblr media
Mickey Altieri
--- It was never Mickey's intention to care for you so much no less care when he hurts you by accident during his murders. He starts to fear that his feelings for you will get in the way of his “efficiency” so he tries to find a way to get you out of the way without having to hurt you again.
--- he decides to take the risk and gets closer to you before continuing the murders, of course, Ms. Loomis is not thrilled but he has a plan, it requires him to be closer to you which he doesn't mind at all since he likes you.
--- At some point, you guys start dating for a while and he takes this opportunity to execute his plan. He confesses to being Ghostface and asks you to join him. Depending on your attraction to murder it might have worked or not.
--- If you do agree you two become partners in crime for the remaining murders and you guys might have even succeeded with the murder plot. Of course, Ms. Loomis would have still probably taken advantage of Mickey, but since you were there, you might have killed Ms. Loomis before that became a problem.
Tumblr media
Roman Bridger
--- As soon as you got hurt Roman panicked and started trying to find you a way out of town. Of course, it was not too hard to do that at least for him.
--- Roman offered to whisk you away on vacation he said that staying would not be safe and a vacation is always nice.
--- Of course, you agreed since you trusted Roman. Of course, later you found out he was Ghostface which probably destroyed your trust in anyone for a while. Therapy will be needed!
(Sorry I didn't have any ideas for roman)
Tumblr media
Jill Roberts
--- When Jill accidentally hurt you during the murders, she had to face the fact that she had to kill you or deal with you in some other way. She was trying to avoid the thought that it was not something she wanted to think about. Nevertheless, she decided to just keep you out of the way, so you won’t be an issue.
--- After the stab marathon was canceled and they go to the Kirby house for the after-party she tries to make sure you won’t know that the after-party is going on since she doesn't want you to be a problem and make it harder for her to execute her plans.
--- you end up showing up since Robbie live streams while he's there and you recognize the outside of the house. You show up a little after Jill kills Charlie. You see Robbie's corpse so you run inside to find Jill and Sidney.
--- Jill is a very good manipulator and you guys are really close, so she deters you from calling the cops. She tells you to go home instead of staying to aid in her story. Jill loves you but does not trust you to corporate her story, since of how carefully she crafted the timeline to work in her favor and she also didn’t want you getting cold feet last minute.
--- When the cops ask later you tell them you were not there that night, and they believe you but soon after it’s all for nothing since Jill ends up being caught in the end.
Tumblr media
Charlie Walker
--- you're the first person to ever acknowledge him romantically, so when you end up getting yourself hurt during his and Jill's little murder spree he feels guilty.
--- He starts being very clingy I mean more than usual since he wants to keep you safe, he finds that he can keep you safe if as long as he's not in the Ghostface costume he can keep you close, and safe.
--- He still helps Jill but insists that you are not invited to the after-party. First of all, part of the plan was to get romantic with Kibry so that when he is tied to the chair later she will want to help him.
--- you find out about the after party but just a little late. You show up just as the police do and they find Charlie dead and Jill the only survivor. Later you find out from the news and Sidney that Charlie and Jill were the killers.
Tumblr media
Amber Freeman
--- It was never Amber's intention to get you involved, she actually wanted you as far away as possible but it was not working out that way since you ended up in the crossfire.
--- At some point, she realized she had to do something with you, but she couldn't kill you. She didn’t want to, so she made a distraction.
--- she couldn't have you showing up to the party so she slashed the tires on your car and bike so you couldn't leave. She understood after she and Richie finished the job she would never be able to see you again, but she thought that was better for you and her own good.
--- you found yourself walking to the party, but it took a little while and you ended up showing out around the time the police did and you found out what happened with Amber and Richie, and it all made sense.
Tumblr media
Ethan Landry
--- Ethan did not like the emotional trouble he found himself in when it came to you. He loved you but he also felt a loyalty to his family, to his father. When you had accidentally gotten yourself hurt in the apartment scuffle, he could not forgive himself but for now, in fear, his father would kill him like his mother, so he kept his mouth shut.
--- In an effort to try to keep you safe he tried to keep you as far away from the main group as possible since Tara and Sam specifically Sam was their main target it was best if you avoided the group but of course, you didn’t listen since you didn’t know why he was asking you too you thought he was jealous.
--- When he, his father, and his sister revealed themselves at the theater he regretted it almost as soon as he did it, he hated the pain in your eyes. Later on in the scuffle, he turned on his father and sister in an effort to make up for what he’s done. Whether it worked or not is up to how eager you are to forgive a killer because he was pressured into it.
Tumblr media
Quinn Bailey
--- Quinn would get very quickly attached to you in a way that differs from all the others she slept with. She cared for you and wanted to keep you safe from her life as a Ghostface. She didn’t want to have to hurt you, but she ended up doing just that and she knew she had to take greater measures.
--- she would find reasons to keep you far away from her till she and her family were done with all the Ghostface things of course it didn’t keep you away for long. So, she faked her death; you can’t be around her if she was not “alive”.
--- Since Quinn’s “death” you grew closer to Sam, Tara, Chad, and Mindy. It was good for you to have friends while you are grieving, but not so good for Quinn's conscience. You were not allowed into the theater for the Ghostface trap. So, you had to find out secondhand what became of Quinn which was not great for you.

How They All Found Out || ER
You and Eddie were doing a good job of sneaking around with your realationship. But slowly, as you two start to fall more and more in love, it gets harder to hide your feelings from the band.
pairings: Eddie Roundtree x Fem!reader
warnings: me messing with the timeline for the fic’s sake, cussing, talks of kids in the future, allusions to sex
authors note: Djats is my new favorite thing. Let me know if you guys have any other requests, i’d be happy to write them.
Tumblr media
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
You and Eddie starting seeing eachother on the break of the SevenEightNine tour. It was perfect timing, you didn’t have to hide, since it was always just the two of you. You got along so well, It felt like you were the only people in the world. Nothing else mattered. The two of you would lie in bed all day, no worries but eachother. It was all perfect. That was, until, Billy got out of Rehab and the band got together again. Then everything got hard.
Eddie Roundtree (Rhythm Guitarist): That first month or two, man, those were the days. Just me and my girl, nothing else to worry about. It was all so easy. And don’t get me wrong, when we [the band] got back together, I was thrilled. It just meant things would get harder for Y/n and me.
You and Eddie were lying in bed together one morning, the sun shining through the windows of your now shared bedroom. Your head was lying on his chest while his hand rested on your lower back. The only thing you were wearing was (his) a tshirt and your underwear. It was a perfect, peaceful scene. But, inside your head, everything was the opposite. Billy had just gotten out of Rehab. Which would normally be good, but all it did was make things more complicated. The band would start practicing again. And you didn’t want what you had with Eddie to just stop. You hadn’t talked about what you were, but you were sure he would want to stay together. He acted like your boyfriend. And that was all the mattered, right?
“Eddie, what do you think will happen when we start practicing again?” You asked, tentatively. You had been thinking about asking this question for a while. If Eddie was going to end it, you wanted it over with. Rip the band-aid off, right? He turned his head toward you and smiled slightly. “Well, what do you want to do?” He started, “I mean, I dont want to stop this. I like you, a whole lot.” You felt your face heat up. You felt like a 13-year-old girl with her first crush, but you didn’t care. Eddie had that effect on you. You replied, “Me too. It’s just- Would you mind if we don’t tell the others? Just for a while.”
Y/N L/N (Bassist): When you’re a woman in a band, people say a lot of shitty things to you. They’ll question your ability to play, say others are better than you. Back then, what other people thought meant a lot to me. I didn’t want to be “Eddie Roundtree’s Girlfriend.” I wanted to be known as me.
You could see his smile falter. You didn’t want this, but it was for the best. The best for you, atleast. You’d still have lots of time together, right? Everything would be the same. That’s what you kept telling yourself.
“Yeah, sure. As long as I get to keep kissing you.” Eddie said. You were glad he was taking it well. He puts a smirk on leans over to kiss you. You laugh and put both your hands on the side of his face to pull him in. He adjusts himself to be on top of you.
Maybe this would work out better than you thought.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Practice with the band has been going great. It was four months after Billy had gotten back. He was doing a lot better, and you were proud of him. You guys were playing more than ever, just trying to make up for lost time. That meant waking up early and staying in the studio til the late hours of the night.
The downside of this was that you and Eddie got less and less time together. You could see his longing glances across the studio, when the rest of the band was there. He just wanted to be together, which you could understand. You would take every opportunity possible to sneak into his room, most times just to talk. You wanted to be near him, to hear his voice and feel his touch. It was getting increasingly harder to not do so in front of others.
One night, after a long practice, you were struggling to sleep. It had been happening for nights and nights in a row. You weren’t sure why, most likely due to all the stress of the rehearsals. You had tried everything from counting sheep, flipping yor pillow, you even smoked a cigarette or two. But nothing helped. After tossing and turning for what seemed like hours, you decided you would head into the kitchen to get a glass of water.
You slowly rolled out of your bed, your feet touching the cold floor beneath you as you walked to your door. You quietly opened the door, slipping out of your bedroom. The last thing you wanted was to wake the whole house up at this hour. Quickly, you scurried into the kitchen. You stuck your hands out to feel around for the cabinet holding the cups. But, instead of your hands finding a knob, you felt a mop of soft, blonde hair.
“What the hell,” Eddie quickly turned around to face you, loudly shutting the cabinet holding the glassware. “Eddie!” You scolded him for being so loud. You placed a hand over his mouth, symbolizing for him to be quiet. He tried to stifle a laugh as he grabbed the hand in front of his mouth, encasing it in his much larger hand. “Funny seeing you here, baby.” Eddie smirked as he placed one hand firmly on your hip, still holding one of your hands. You laughed quietly, a smile reserved only for him starting to appear on your face. He leaned down to kiss you on the forehead. “I’ve missed you.” Eddie said. You laughed quietly, quickly responding, “I saw you five hours ago, remember?” He rolls his eyes at you. “Not like that. I miss being alone with you.” He says suggestively. He slowly starts tracing patterns on your hand with his thumb.
“Well, we have alone time right now… why not make good use of it?” You smirk. Eddie leaned down to kiss your jaw, moving down until he reached your neck. Your wrapped your hands around his neck, slightly turning your head to give him better access. You were fully wrapped up in the kisses before you realized where you were. He was kissing you in the middle of the kitchen! Anyone could walk in! “Eddie,” you started, but he ignored your call. “Eddie!” you said it much louder this time, but not loud enough for anyone else to hear. He stopped his trail of kisses, leaning his forehead against yours. He was so close to your lips, if he leaned in any further they would touch.
“We shouldn’t be doing this right now. Atleast not here.” You said. You bit your lip immediately after, pulling back your words. You knew it wasn’t right, but you missed him so much you couldn’t help it. “I know you don’t mean that.” Eddie said, tauntingly. He pulled a hand up to your lip, untucking it from under your teeth. “You bite your lip when you lie, sweetheart. You’re not very good at it.” He whispers to you. What happens next, you couldn’t control. You crashed your lips into his, hungrily looking for more.
Eddie places his hands under your thighs, and you jump up, wrapping your legs around him. His hands trace circles on your bare skin, making your heart jump. While your lips are still on his, he carries you to the counter, placing you down in front of him. His body is between your legs. Eddie is kissing down your neck, leaving light hickeys wherever he wants too. Those will be a problem for tomorrow. But right now, you’re fully in the moment. His hands are now under your shirt, and you can feel your heartbeat rising.
You’d been waiting for this forever. At this point, you’d forgotten you were in the middle of the kitchen. You needed him, and he needed you. The last time you were able to be together like this was weeks ago. All the pent-up tension between the two of you was being released with each kiss. Eddie grabs the end of your shirt, signalling for you to take it off. You do, and he kisses your shoulders and chest. But all the sudden, he stops. You look down at him, confused.
“Eddie? Eddie what happen-“
“Woah.” Warren says, startling you.
You turn your head, your face displaying total shock. Of course, someone would walk in! Just your luck. You quickly pull your shirt over your head and hop off the counter. This would take some explaining.
“You guys? You guys are hooking up?” Warren continues. His mouth is wide open. He’s laughing, rather loudly too. “I would’ve never guessed, man!”
The three of you stand there, all in total shock, for about a minute.
Warren Rojas (Drummer): It was crazy. I mean, we all knew they [Y/n and Eddie] had something. But I would’ve never known they’d been fucking. I always wondered why they didn’t tell anyone.
“So,” Eddie said. He looked at you for guidance.
“Please don’t tell anybody, Warren. Please.” You were practically begging him. You looked at him with your best puppy dog eyes and pleading smile. You could feel Eddie brushing his fingers against yours, almost for comfort.
“You guys don’t have to worry about me. I‘ll keep your secret.” He said. “I better be best man at the wedding, though.” Warren laughed.
“It’s not-“ Eddie said.
“Yeah, yeah. Can I atleast get some food though?” He said motioning to where you guys were standing, blocking the fridge.
You both nodded and scooted over very akwardly. You looked up at Eddie and all you could do was laugh, leaning into him. You placed your head on his chest, and he reached his hand up to cradle the back of your head. You were both laughing quietly. The situation was really ridiculous. You had been so careful, you never thought you would get caught. But it’s only one person who knows, right? And Warren wouldn’t dare tell anybody.
When Warren finished with whatever he was getting from the fridge, he started to walk away. When he was almost to his door, he turned to face you and Eddie. He looked like he wanted to say something but decided against it. He settled with an akward wave. With that, Warren was gone.
“So, where were we…” Eddie said, slowly starting to kiss yor jaw. You put your hands out, putting space between the two of you.
“I’d rather not have the entire band walk in on us, Eds.” You say. Your decision still stands, about not wanting the whole world to know of you and Eddie’s realationship. If you could even call it that, really. “But, maybe if we went to one of our bedrooms…” You trail off. Eddie doesn’t have to hear anymore. He is dragging you off to his room.
Eddie Roundtree: That was a good night for me. For us. I think it really made me realize what I wanted for us. Y/n still didn’t want to come out in the open with our realationship, which I understood. But that didn’t mean we couldn’t have something just between us. So I asked her to be my girlfriend that night. And she said yes. *smiles*
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
About two months or so after the Warren incident, the band was back in the studio recording. You were working with Teddy Price again. It was a miracle he let you back, considering how terribly the last tour ended. He suggested you bring in a new voice, someone who could bring more traction to the band. He suggested Daisy Jones. So, the band got to work on your new song Aurora, with the help of the wonderful Daisy.
One late night, the whole band was out with Daisy at Chateau Marmont. It was one of her many parties, which were always marvelous. You were wearing a short black skirt, matched with a white halter top with red floral detailing. You put together this outfit especially for a lipstick you wanted to wear, that was gifted to you by Karen, for your birthday. It was a gorgeous deep red color that complimented your skin perfectly.
You arrived at the Chateau a little later than everyone else, and you quickly found who you were looking for. Eddie. You made your way across the room to him. His face lit up with an all too familiar boyish smile. Eddie was standing alone next to the drinks, nursing a beer. He reached down to the cooler and grabbed you one, popping it open for you.
“Here you go, Y/n.” Eddie said while holding out his hand with the open beer. You took it with a smile.
“I’ve been looking for you all night, baby. Where have you been?” said Eddie. He takes a quick sip of his beer, admiring you. You can see his eyes flick up and down, from your legs up to your face. You could tell they lingered on your chest, which was exactly what you wanted. “I like this shirt.” He says, winking. You scan the room, making sure nobody is watching. You slowly take his hand and place a sloppy kiss on his lips. You start to lead him into a close bathroom.
“Are you sure Y/n? I mean we just got here, and you said you still wanted to keep us a secret.” Eddie says, looking at you concerningly. But you can tell, by how Eddie is looking at you and how he’s standing, with one hand holding yours and the other tight on your ass, that he really wants to sneak into the bathroom aswell. He was looking out for you, which was always something you admired about him. He was always considerate.
“It’ll be quick.” You smirk. You both make it into the restroom. You turn and lock the door behind you.
Around 30 minutes later, Eddie emerges from the bathroom. You both decided he would go first, just in case someone you two knew was by the door. This way nobody would become suspicious. He walks out back into the party, which has gained guests and volume while the two of you were away. He navigates through the crowd to find another beer. While searching for that, he finds two people from the band. Karen and Daisy were standing in the corner together. They wave Eddie over and he walks towards them.
“Hey Eddie, where have you been?” Says Karen. Daisy and Karen both smile at him, whilst exchanging looks. Eddie doesn’t catch it at first. He starts a conversation with them. But soon, after a while, Karen and Daisy burst out into a fit of laughter.
“What, what is it?” Eddie says, irriatated. Are they laughing at him? He hasn’t done anything embarrassing. Karen and Daisy don’t answer his question, they just continue to giggle.
“What’s funny?” Eddie restates himself. Now, he is just as much confused as he is annoyed. Did Billy tell them something? At this point, he was ready to leave and find somebody else to talk to. He was just about to walk away when Daisy grabs his hand.
“No, Eddie, wait,” She says between laughs, “We’ll tell you what’s funny.”
So, he turns backs around and crosses his arms. He could be doing much better things than being laughed at by two band mates. He looks around the room, impatiently waiting for their answer.
“Did you realize you have lipstick on your face, Eddie? Red lipstick?” Daisy says.
Oh.
That’s what they were laughing at.
“And it looks an awful lot like the one I got Y/n for her birthday.” Karen adds.
Karen Sirko (keyboardist): Oh my God! It was hilarious! Eddie comes out, and he has lipstick everywhere. His lips, his neck. And at first I was like, “Oh, good for him.” but then I realized that it was Y/n’s lipstick! The one i got her for her birthday, even. God, that was the highlight of my week.
Eddie reaches a hand up to his lips, and sure enough, deep, red lipstick residue is on his hands. The trail goes down his neck, too. He keeps trying to rub it off to the best of his ability. He laughs akwardly, looking down. Daisy senses the akwardness and tries to comfort him.
“Hey, i’m really happy for you guys. You two will be a great match, i’m sure.” She smiles, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
Eddie looks up, smiling back at her. “Would it be okay if you guys didn’t tell anybody for now? We aren’t ready to tell everyone yet.” He says.
Daisy Jones (vocals): Eddie and Y/n? They were adorable. You could just tell that he was in love with her. When he would play, the only person his eyes went to was Y/n. As for Y/n, she was the same. When he walked into the room, you could see her smile. If I wanted my future to be like anyone’s, It would probably be their’s.
Karen and Daisy both nod. Eddie felt really bad about them finding out. Y/n had asked him to keep it a secret and he was dumb and messed it up. But, hey, Warren already knows. So two more people shouldn’t be so bad? And Eddie trusts Karen. He wasn’t sure about Daisy yet, but Y/n seemed to love her. He’d have to tell Y/n soon.
Y/n L/n: I wasn’t mad at all. It was really my fault for not noticing the lipstick. I helped him wipe it off after that, and I have to admit, he looked really silly. I can’t believe he left the bathroom looking like that.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
It was Julia’s first birthday. Camila had put together a celebration with balloons, banners, and an adorable little pink cake. It was all out together in their new house’s backyard. They had a housewarming party a while ago. It was one of the best parties you’d ever been too. Being surrounded by friends who loved you always made you feel better.
At Julia’s party, you and Eddie were playing with her. She had brought a couple Barbies outside and was acting out a scene with them. You and Eddie were doing it with her, going along with whatever she says. “We go swim!” Julia moves her Barbie over to a nearby puddle, grabbing both your hands and making you move yours over too. “Weeeeee!” Julia makes the Barbies jump up and down in the puddle. While they were jumping, she moves them around wildly in your direction and they splash your sundress.
“Woah! Julia!” You say, holding her hand to settle her down. “You got me all wet!” You joke, fake scolding. She giggles, apologizing, “I’m sorry Aunt Y/n!” You smile at her. How could you be mad at such a cute face? You grab Julia’s hand while standing up, and point in her dad’s direction. “It’s okay, Jules. Why don’t you go find your dad while I go clean up?” She follows your directions and runs over to her father, Billy.
You stand up, swiftly brushing the dirt and grime off your hands and dress.
“You’re really good with Julia, Y/n” Eddie says.
You smile widely at him, laughing happily. “You think so? I always imagined myself with kids when I was younger.”
“It just got me thinking. We could do that one day.” Eddie says, looking down at you fondly.
“Have kids?” You ask. It was true, you always thought you’d have a family. Two, even three kids. Maybe a dog, too. But that was all back in Pittsburgh. You weren’t sure if that life would fit into your life style now.
“Yeah. Big house, white picket fence. Some kids running around. Wouldn’t you like that, Y/n?” He says. You two were dangerously close, in the middle of Billy and Camila’s yard. Everyone you knew was there. But at the moment, it only felt you and Eddie were present. It was like the world closed in on you, and it was just him and you left. You liked the close, intimate feel. Even though you had been dating for around a year, you had never talked about your future outside of being in the band.
“Yeah, I think I would like that.” You say happily. You liked this side of Eddie. The warm, inviting side. You really were beginning to see a future with the blonde. The two of you stood, in the middle of the yard, just looking into each other’s eyes. Words didn’t need to be spoken. It was a silent “I love you”.
Eddie Roundtree: Yeah, I remember that day. She just looked so beautiful, playing with Jules. She was so kind, always was. You couldn’t help but love her. *smiles*
You are quickly snapped out of the moment by Camila calling to you.
“Hey, Y/n!” Camila says. She walks up to you and frowns. “I heard about your dress. I’m so sorry, i’ll talk to Jules after the party.” She apologizes.
“No, it’s okay. I’ll just wash it when I get home.” You respond. You look down at your blue sundress, taking a look at all the muddy spots. “I think i’ll go inside and try to find a washcloth. I’ll try to get some of the mud out.” You say. Camila nods.
“I’ll come with you!” She exclaims. You flash Eddie a sweet smile goodbye, and he winks in return. Eddie turns to go talk to Graham as you go inside with Camila. As soon as you shut the door, Camila starts to smile suspiciously.
“You and Eddie, hm?” She questions. You freeze, simply in shock. You were going to have to dig yourself out of a big hole. Plus, you were never good at lying, especially to Camila. It was like she could see through people. You always envied it about her.
“What do you mean, Cami?” You ask. You begin to make you way to the sink, avoiding her eyes.
“Don’t try to fool me. I see the way he looks at you, Y/n. It’s like you hung the stars and put the moon in the sky. He loves you.” Camila smiles. She digs through the drawers of her kitchen before handing you a white washcloth.
“I don’t,” You start. The question had totally caught you off guard. Was it love? Had you fallen in love with Eddie Roundtree? “I don’t know how he feels.” You stutter. Guess there is no hiding it now.
You begin to wet the washcloth, but your mind is anywhere besides this room. Is Camila right? You always knew you had something special with Eddie. But you’d never thought about it this much to be honest. With the baby conversation today and Camila’s conversation with you right now, you are seriously considering it. Things between you and the blonde wasn’t just hooking up anymore and it hasn’t been for a long time. It felt as if things were suddenly gettin for serious, and you were not going to say no to it.
“Well I think I know how you feel.” The girl says, poking you in the side. You laugh with her, moving your hip out of her reach. You shake your head in response, but the radiant smile on your face tells otherwise.
When you recover from the laughter fit, you begin to blot the muddy fabric of your dress with the cloth. Cami settles down as well. She peeks out the window and smiles, “Looks like everyone is about to sing happy birthday. I better go get the candles. Come out in a second, yeah?” She says. You nod, waving her goodbye.
Just before she is about to walk out the door, she turns around and teases, “Oh, and Eddie will be out there, too. You might want to hurry.” She winks at you mischievously before shutting the door and hurrying over to where Julia and Billy were.
Camila Dunne: Oh, Gosh, they were an amazing couple. I would’ve never known, but once I did, it just felt so obvious. They were perfect together, and I mean it. You could just tell by the way they looked at eachother. As soon as his eyes fell on Y/n, they turned into hearts. And vice versa.
Normally, you would be freaking out. You just gave away the secret of your realationship to yet another person. But right now you were on cloud 9. Eddie Roundtree might love you. And you might love him back.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
When Aurora was finally finished, the entire band was thrilled. Everyone had working together, and it turned out perfectly. You could feel it was about to be a big hit. The single, Look At Us Now, was already topping the charts. You had Daisy’s and Billy’s perfect vocal chemistry to thank for that.
Everybody was getting ready for the album cover shoot. It had been scheduled for weeks. After much bickering from Daisy and Billy, they decided on a desert shoot. The whole band was wearing tan, blue, and brown costumes, some more extravagant than others.
You and Eddie, though, had different plans. You snuck into his room late the night before. Everyone was staying in a hotel, as the photo shoot location was about 3 hours out of town and nobody wanted to drive that far so early. So, while everyone was getting ready, you and Eddie were lying in bed together, enjoying the solitude of the morning.
You were brushing stray hairs out of his face, to make sure you could see his beautiful eyes. Atleast you always thought they were beautiful. He was looking right back at you, with a dopey grin on his face. “I love you, Y/n.” He whispered. And you whispered it back.
After ten more minutes of this lovesick haze, you sat up, grabbing your watch that layed onnthe bedside table. Your face froze with shock.
“Shit, Shit, Shit! Eddie, it’s already 9:30. We were supposed to be down five minuetes ago!” With those words, the two of you flew out of bed, hurrily throwing on coats and blouses and brushing knotted hair from last night’s activities.
Meanwhile, downstairs, everyone was waiting on you two. Daisy, Karen, Warren, Camila, Billy, even Julia, all sat downstairs around a couple tables. They had finished breakfast a while ago, as it was now 9:45.
“Okay, where the fuck are they?” Billy said, tapping his foot. Karen and Daisy shared a look, Warren snickered, and Camila avoided his gaze. But Graham was clueless.
“I’ll go get them. I’m done eating anyway.” The younger Dunne brother said, hopping out of his seat next to Karen. He walks up to the elavator and steps inside, pressing the button of the band’s floor.
Meanwhile, you and Eddie were still frantically trying to get ready. You were applying a nude lipstick while Eddie buttoned up his shirt. You were no where near ready and you figured time was running out.
Suddenly, there is a knock on the door. You both freeze, making eye contact in the mirror.
“Probably just maintenance.” You reason.
“Yeah, just maintenance.” He agrees.
But you both quickly found out you were wrong when Graham’s voice sounded from the other side of the door. “Eddie, man, get up! You’re already thirty minutes late for photos.”
Oh, so it wasn’t maintenance. It was Graham. And Graham didn’t know. You and Eddie had started to consider telling everyone for good, but it had been so easy how it already was. You had settled into a routine of secrecy. It would just be so much harder to stop.
Graham knocks again, sounding impatient. You quickly pull out a curling iron to atleast get half your hair done while Eddie rushes to the door.
“Hey, just give me five more minutes.” He says before shutting the door in his face. Your boyfriend quickly rushes over to you in the bedroom, as you had given up on the hair curling idea after the front two pieces.
“What are we going to do, Ed?” you ask. He places a reassuring hand on your cheek, brushing a piece of hair away from your face.
“I’ll go out first. I’ll talk to Graham for a little before moving on downstairs. Then, he’ll go to your room next door and knock. You’ll slip out of here and try to walk a little ways down the hall so he doesn’t notice you came out of my room. Just pretend you were getting ice or something.” He says. You nod, trying hard to listen to exactly what he says.
When Eddie finishes speaking, you place a gentle kiss on his cheek. “For good luck.” you say. He smiles and embraces you quickly before heading for the door, motioning for you to hide on the other side of the room.
“Sorry about that Graham. Woke up late.” You can hear Eddie say from the other side of the wall. You press your ear up against the wallpaper trying to listen to more.
“I get it. I’m going to knock on Y/n’s door too. She must’ve overslept as well.” He pats Eddie on the shoulder before moving on to your door down the hall. You hear the steps of boots which you assume means he’s far enough away. You make your way to the door and open it very slowly. You manage to squeeze out of the half opened door. Now, you shut the door quietly before walking a little ways down the hall, like Eddie said.
“Hey, Y/n!” Graham calls out, and you stop in your tracks. “Where’d you come from?” He asks.
“I was just getting ice. Down the hall. At the ice machine.” You manages to sputter out. You’d never describe yourself as a nervous person, but right now, the nerves where like butterflies floating in your stomach, in your brain, and throughout your whole body. Graham furrows his brows at you, not very convinced by your efforts.
“I’m going to go ahead and get some breakfast.” You say quickly, speedwalking down the hallway. You thought you handled that pretty well.
Graham Dunne (Lead Guitar): She had come out of Eddie’s room. It was very obvious. Y/n was also always a terrible liar. I knew they were hooking up way before that ever even happened.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Karen Sirko: I think everyone knew they were in a realationship by that point. Daisy and I had a bet on when they would tell us.
Daisy Jones: It eventually came out when we were on tour, so Karen won technically. But they were just so shit at keeping secrets we all figured out a long time ago.
Warren Rojas: I was actually best man at Eddie’s and Y/n’s wedding. It was probably the best wedding i’ve ever been to. But don’t tell Lisa that. *winks*

Jealousy // Billy Loomis x Fem! Reader
You were wild that summer. Plenty of parties, plenty of binge drinking, plenty bad decisions.
One of which was currently peppering your chest with sloppy drunk kisses while you sat on the counter during another wild party.
Jeff… er… Jack - whatever the case, slammed you on top of the cold counter a few minutes ago after sharing a couple of dances and drinks.
His breath was hot against your skin as his lips moved back up to capture yours once again.
“This the best you can do after me?”
A familiar voice has you breaking the kiss, and you turn to face the one guy you could never have. (Well, you’ve had him plenty of times, but it never went beyond more than a hot hookup.)
Billy Loomis stood in the doorway of the kitchen, arms crossed over his chest as he shot you and what’s his name a glare. Jealousy was always a good look on him. His warm eyes a shade darker as he watched this guy, this fucking wannabe Brad Pitt with his hands all over you in his kitchen. The same kitchen where just last month was the spot where you two spent the better half of the night fucking away all your issues and problems in life. And here you were - getting groped right in front of him.
Jeff or Jack (whatever), takes a step back from you and frowns. “You never mentioned that Billy was your boyfriend.”
“He’s not.” You state it while staring directly at your on again-off again fuck buddy.
“No, I just fucked her over there,” Billy motions to the dining table, “Last month for shits and giggles. Was fun though, right Y/N? Must’ve been, seeing as how we didn’t stop there.”
Jeff/Jack awkwardly shifts his eyes to the floor. “ I think I better go.”
“Good choice.”
You scoff. “No, you don’t need to leave.”
“I think you and Billy need to talk things out.”
And with that, Jeff/Jack makes a quick escape out of the kitchen, leaving you and Billy alone. He smirks and takes a few steps closer.
You stayed still on the counter. “You gonna chase away all the guys I wanna date?”
“You weren’t on a date just now.”
“We could’ve went out on a date tomorrow.”
“Oh? Even though we both know you’re never planning on seeing him again after tonight?”
“And why’s that?”
“Because you don’t even know his name.”
During this little back and forth, Billy had managed to step in front of you with a smirk. There was a sort of dark thrill with having someone like him giving you so much attention.
“Pretty low, you know. Hooking up with some other guy in my house. In my kitchen.”
Your eyes narrow. “Not any lower than your little scene out there with that blonde.” That was what had started you seeking out solace in that other guy in the first place. Watching Billy getting practically dry fucked on the dance floor by some strange blonde had sent you over the edge and left you wanting to get revenge.
To make Billy feel the same pain you felt.
“You told me to move on, Y/N, just last week.”
“And you sure did just as that, didn’t you?”
There’s a long pause as Billy stares at you. Then he finally says, “Not exactly. Sure, I might have flirted a little but that’s it, Y/N. You’re the one who’s been on my mind, no one else. I want you.”
You felt your resolve start to crumble as Billy followed his sweet talk up with one of his hands cupping your cheek. “You say that.”
“I mean that. Do you really doubt it?”
Before you could answer him, Billy decides to show you that actions speak louder than words and does so by pulling you in for a kiss. Unlike the other guy, Billy didn’t start the kiss out slow and sweet, only to gradually build in intensity, no, Billy’s kiss was rough and messy, tongue plunging inside your mouth with a groan.
“I want you too.” You mutter against his mouth, feeling his lips curl into a smirk as his hands coast their way down your waist. Course, Billy already knew this. You weren’t exactly the best at being subtle here.
He pops off the buttons to your silk blouse in a matter of seconds, his touches so thrilling that you don’t even bother in chiding him for it. The blouse slips off your shoulders and lands somewhere behind you on the counter.
Your hands delve underneath his white shirt, pulling it up his back and off. “Bedroom?” You whisper while his lips trail to your collarbone.
There was a party going on twenty feet away after all. And you didn’t need nor want someone drunkenly stumbling in on you and Billy going at it on the countertop. “Here’s fine.”
You pull back slightly, eyes narrowing.
“Uh-uh, no way. What if someone walks in?”
“You weren’t too worried about that earlier.” His mouth leaves your throat in favor of nipping at your ear, tugging on the earlobe as he says it. “I walked in on you and that jackass.”
His grip tightens when he mentions the guy. Fingers digging into your hips as he bites hard, marking you. “Wasn’t planned.” You gasp out.
“Neither was this.”
“Billy, come on.”
His hands drop as he steps back. He looked annoyed as he glared at you. “So you’ll let some creep you don’t even know fuck you during a wild party but not me. Someone you do know.”
“I wouldn’t have let him-“
“No? Looked like he was getting pretty far.”
“Like you and your little blonde out there?” You hop off the counter with a glare of your own. “And how dare you talk to me like that?”
“I wasn’t almost fucking that blonde, Y/N.”
“Looked like you were getting pretty far.” You repeat his earlier sentence.
“So you can move on but I can’t? You can flaunt around town, acting as if we weren’t a thing just last month while I have to suffer?”
“You weren’t suffering earlier with that blonde.”
“ENOUGH about that FUCKING BLONDE!” Billy exclaims, and you jump when he bangs his fist on the counter. You had never seen him look so pissed off before. It was a little startling.
Having seen your reaction to his outburst, Billy mutters, “Shit, baby, I’m sorry,” and reaches for you.
You shake your head, stepping back slightly.
“Don’t.” You say with a sigh and walk away.

tw abuse mention
Billy had always been a dog person.
Dogs were easy to love and they always had affection to spare - at least, the ones he’d known. They were cute and excited and seemed to always like him.
Cats, on the other hand, were different for him. They could be standoffish and picky and they didn’t listen, which is what turned Billy off the most. He didn’t get why people loved cats, never understood why people worshipped and adored them, until he’d met Steve’s.
“My parents got her when we had a mice problem back when I was a kid, but she just sat around and did whatever she wanted - so they got an exterminator to go after the mice instead.” Steve chuckled as he watched the black-striped and grey cat rub herself against Billy’s shins and ankles, like she’d been starved for affection her whole life.
Billy grimaced a little, because he wasn’t fond of fur on his clothes, but Steve was quick to click his tongue and bend down to call the cat back to him.
To which she (surprisingly) went and happily nuzzled Steve’s hand when he hovered it for her. Hm.
Billy’s brows furrowed as he asked, “What’s her name?”
His boyfriend glanced up at him and gave him a dumb smile, the kind Billy only saw when Steve was embarrassed, and said, “Don’t judge - I named her when I was, like, ten. Her name’s Buttercup.”
“Buttercup,” Billy repeated with a smirk, imagining a young Steve Harrington proudly declaring the cat’s name to his parents, “That’s…a name.”
“Hey, I said not to judge!” Steve chuckled as he stood up again and reached for Billy’s hand, smiling when the blond didn’t shy or pull away once their fingers brushed, “C’mon, let’s go get a snack and watch something.”
Billy followed along quietly, his gaze flicking down to watch Buttercup as he walked by her, and she didn’t move her green eyes from him until they rounded the corner.
🐾
The more Billy went over to Steve’s, the more Buttercup hung around. He wasn’t particularly upset or thrilled by her; she was cute and he liked watching Steve throw her little toys across the room just so she could leap after them.
And it was like she knew Billy wasn’t fond of her, because whenever he’d sit down on the Harrington couch, she’d be jumping up to climb onto his lap. He’s always pick her up carefully and deposit her back on the floor or beside him - because again, cat fur - and she’d mrow at him in a disappointed tone, her emerald eyes unwavering as they stared each other down until Steve plopped down next to him. From there, she’d jump up to the back of the couch and settle there, sleeping and purring while they cuddled and watched TV or talked.
It stayed like that for a while. She was always there, included in whatever they did, whether it was relaxing on the couch or in Steve’s room - where she slept on their pillows at night - or in the backyard near the pool, watching them swim when she wasn’t chasing birds.
Billy got used to it. He’d bend down and smooth his palm along the top of her head when she greeted him at the door. He’d gently rub the pad of his thumb along the bridge of her nose whenever he woke up in Steve’s bed and she was there, waiting for him to wake up.
Then one day, his dad smacked him so hard he couldn’t see straight, and he ran out of the house and down the street and didn’t stop until his lungs burned and he found himself in Loch Nora.
He knew Steve wasn’t home because he was working, and his parents weren’t home either, so Billy rushed to the back of the house and grabbed the spare key from where he knew it was hidden.
The house was cool and quiet when he slid the backdoor shut and locked it, still trying to catch his breath as he rushed over to the mirror by the entrance to look at his face. His cheek was red and puffy, a shiner already forming under his eye, and Billy watched his face crumple in the reflection.
Tears welled and spilled, tracking down his burning face, and then he felt a familiar brush against his calves.
He looked down through his blurry vision at Buttercup, who had paused and stared up at him in return. She gave her usual mrow and Billy sniffled wetly, wiping his nose with the back of his hand as he gently pushed her off with his foot and muttered, “Get.”
He moved away from the mirror and went upstairs, ignoring the gentle ring of Buttercup’s bell as she followed him.
In Steve’s bedroom, Billy pulled his shirt off and tossed it aside, pulling on one of Steve’s from the floor because it smelt like his boyfriend. It comforted him as he moved around the room, pulling the collar up to his nose to breathe in the scent of Steve’s cologne and body as he toed his shoes off, collapsing onto the unmade bed moments later.
Only a second passed before Buttercup was jumping up onto the bed, giving Billy a soft mrow again. Slowly, he turned his face to the side from where it had been buried in Steve’s pillow, and he eyed the cat as it stared down at him. Expectant, yet patient.
“What do you want?” Billy huffed, shifting onto his side to face her and take the pressure off the side of his face that was throbbing, quirking a brow as Buttercup slowly reached out her paw to him, hovering it in the air.
“‘M not in the mood to give you any pets,” Billy grumbled, wiping the remaining wetness from his eyes, and felt her paw gently touch his forearm.
Her paw, small and soft, was warm. Comforting.
“Fine,” Billy muttered as he shifted again, flipping onto his back and patting the spot beside him, “C’mere.”
And where he expected Buttercup to curl up beside him like she had a handful of times before, she got up and walked over and onto his chest. The weight of her under those tiny paws made Billy wince, the press of her claws inevitable, but he watched her quietly as she settled on top of his chest and tucked her paws under her chest, staring down at him.
And she began to purr.
Softly, but deeply. Billy swore he felt it rattle his heart.
The tears came again, suddenly flooding in his eyes as he watched Buttercup slowly blink down at him, her tail curling around herself as she kept her perch on top of his chest.
His hands found the soft fur of her back, just holding her there, and her eyes closed. Like she was happy. She looked happy.
Billy sniffled again and gently shook his head in quiet disbelief, giving her a watery smile as he pet down her back, mumbling, “Brat cat.”
She only purred louder.
🐾
Billy told Steve about it later, once his boyfriend got home and found the two of them passed out in his bed. His pretty boy grinned so hard he beamed like the sun after he got Billy an ice pack for his cheek and ensuring he was alright.
“That was her comforting you,” Steve hummed as he pressed a kiss to Billy’s forehead, “She’s done it to me a lot over the years. Glad she was able to look after you when I couldn’t.” He gave her chin a little scratch for that, smiling down at her.
And yeah, Billy supposed that’s what it was. Buttercup looking after him and ensuring he was comforted, because obviously he’d been upset. But, it also felt like a long time coming. She’d wanted to be close to Billy ever since he’d met and he’d always kept her at arm’s length for months.
He wished he hadn’t. He wished he had let her closer, sooner.
But, he’d make it up to her.
🐾
“Billy, you didn’t have to get Buttercup tattooed on your arm—”
“Shut up — do you think she’ll like it?”
🐾
She did.

A Lady Made of Snow
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
DISCLAIMER: I don’t own The Hunger Games franchise, the images above, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, or any of the characters in this fic other than Bellova.
SUMMARY: The 10th Annual Hunger Games begin, and things quickly dissolve into chaos. Bellova grows increasingly furious about Coriolanus’s dedication towards Lucy Gray Baird. When she realizes he has cheated just to keep her alive, she decides to ruin him once and for all.
Warnings: spoilers for TBOSAS, death, violence, cursing, overall dark stuff (it’s the Hunger Games franchise so that’s sorta a given)
A/n: I am using a combination of the movie and book version of the events that occur in this chapter. I sort of streamlined the events to make the chapter less boring. Also, I highly recommend listening to “…Ready For It?” and “Look What You Made Me Do” while reading this chapter.
Other than Sejanus throwing a chair at the screen and screaming that everyone in the room was a monster, Lamina killing Marcus in an act of of mercy, and Lucky’s stupid commentary, nothing much had happened yet.
Bellova was disappointed that her tribute was dead. Not because she cared about her, but because it meant she was missing out on the mentor experience. The thrill of having a say in someone else’s survival seemed quite exciting.
If she wasn’t so pissed at Coriolanus for his behavior towards Lucy Gray, she would’ve reconsidered his proposal to work together.
When the day was coming to an end, the majority of Academy students started to leave for their homes. Only a handful remained, consisting mostly of the mentors.
Bellova stifled a yawn, leaning back in her chair. Things has gotten dull, with the tributes doing nothing but finding places to hide from each other. She hoped that Dr. Gaul had something exciting in store for them soon, or people would start switching to Billi Bumble’s horrible comedy channel.
She picked up her Academy satchel and stood up from her seat. She noticed that Coriolanus was still present and slumped over on his desk, his head resting on his hand. He looked so peaceful asleep, his long golden lashes fluttering slightly. The light from the ceiling made his light blonde curls glow ethereally.
He looked like an angel.
Bellova suddenly felt a strong urge to wake him up. She had avoided him for the entire day out of spite, but was starting to miss interacting to him. It was routine, bantering and bickering every day. Not talking felt…weird. And lonely.
She sighed. On rare occasions, she wished she could go back in time and change the way they formed their relationship. Instead of it being based on competition and rivalry, it would be full of support and affection.
Then, an unpleasant thought hit her.
He had only stayed so late to ensure nothing happened to Lucy Gray while he was away.
Now utterly furious, she slung her bag over her shoulder and started towards the door. ‘He’s such a pathetic sap,’ she thought. ‘He’s acting like a fool, I really should stop associating myself with him.’
But she found herself glancing over her shoulder to look at him one last time. And she knew, deep down, that she’s always come back, no matter how much he pissed her off.
She’d never be able to stay away from him.
Not for long, anyway.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bellova passed out as soon as she climbed into bed, and didn’t wake until nine hours later. She hadn’t slept well in nearly a week, as she was still recovering from her injuries. This was the first time she was able to achieve an uninterrupted night of sleep since before the bombing.
When one of her maids woke her up, it was already 8:00. Usually Academy classes started promptly at 8:00, but because of the Games, the schedule had been loosened a bit. And Bellova, who didn’t feel like interacting with anyone, was in no rush to arrive on time.
After eating a breakfast of fruit and assorted pastries, she slowly pulled on her uniform. She has always hated the Academy uniforms, but with the right accessories and makeup, she had learned to make it presentable by her standards.
Bellova checked her makeup one last time in the mirror and then headed downstairs to meet her driver at the front of her estate. He opened the passenger’s side door for her as she slid into the seat.
“How are you this morning, Miss Bellova?” he asked, starting the engine and taking off towards the main road.
“Fine,” she said, leaning against the window. “I’m just tired, that’s all.”
“I’m sorry to hear that. I hope that once the Games are over, you can rest up properly.”
She nodded. “That would be nice. As much as I like the Games, they’ve caused quite a lot of stress this year.”
He laughed quietly. “Most certainly. Everyone was so worried about you when you were hospitalized, your father most of all. I haven’t ever seen him so upset in my twenty years of working for him.”
Bellova sighed. She and her father, Julio Augustus Reginelle, had a nice relationship. But he was rarely home, for he worked almost ten hours a day and often didn’t come home until Bellova was asleep. She cherished the rare moments she had with him. He had taught her to be proud of her wit and her combative nature, even if it sometimes got her into trouble.
“You are much more like your father than you realize, Miss Bellova,” her driver said.
“How so?” she asked.
“You are both kind until someone disrespects you. You are incredibly intelligent just like him, and pursue your goals relentlessly.” He paused for a moment. “And, you seem to have the same disdain for certain other Capitol families.”
Bellova raised an eyebrow. “Which ones?”
“Well, he’s not fond of the Cardews, as you know. He thinks they hold too much power for how little work they actually do.”
Bellova laughed. “That’s true.”
“He has never gotten along with the Creed family. He finds them irritating and foolish.”
She smirked. “I’m not surprised. Festus can be insufferable. Who else?”
Her driver sighed. “He despised Crassus Snow.”
Bellova felt her stomach twist. “Really?”
He nodded. “I don’t know exactly why he hated him so passionately, but I’ve heard they were rivals during their Academy days.”
‘I suppose I really do take after him then,’ Bellova thought, remembering her and Coriolanus’s worst arguments. ‘Crassus’s son gets under my skin nearly every day.’
Her driver pulled onto Scholars Road and stopped in front of the Academy’s main building. He stepped out of the car to open the door for her, and she gave him a nod of thanks.
“I’ll see you later, Miss Bellova,” he said, bowing slightly and getting back into the car to drive off.
As Bellova walked to the auditorium where the mentors were undoubtedly already at work, she pondered what her driver had said about Crassus Snow and her father. She was eager to know more about their history, but didn’t want to pry too far. Her father had a temper just like her, and she didn’t want to be on the wrong end of it.
When Bellova reached the room and walked through the doors, she immediately noticed three things: one, that Coriolanus looked exhausted and distressed, two, that he has brought his cousin Tigris to watch the Games, and three, that Sejanus was missing.
She grabbed a spare chair and sat next to Coriolanus. He didn’t greet her or even glance look at her.
“What’s wrong with you today?” she asked, looking at the large television screen in front of them.
He scowled. “I’m not in the mood for your snide remarks, Bellova.”
“Clearly something happened. Either tell me or I’ll figure it out on my own.”
Coriolanus gave her a sharp glare, but sighed in defeat. “We’ll talk about it later.”
Satisfied, Bellova turned her attention back to the Games. According to Lucky Flickerman, one tribute, Bobbin, had died overnight. However, there was no footage shown of him perishing.
Bellova found that awfully suspicious. There was such a lack of action in the arena that the gamemakers would have undoubtedly shown the death of a tribute.
When Bobbin’s death was announced, she noticed Coriolanus tense ever-so slightly. The average person wouldn’t have noticed, but she had learned to read his body language as well as the back of her hand. Clearly, something about his death made him nervous.
She decided to cast it aside for the moment. She’d pry the information out of him later.
“They aren’t showing us what happened to that little boy,” Lysistrata Vickers said. “He clearly was killed right there. There’s cameras everywhere. It doesn’t make sense.”
“They said they were old cameras, Lyssie,” Festus responded. “Probably just another one of Coral’s.”
“Festus, sit down,” Lucky Flickerman ordered. “Same seats.”
Festus scowled but did as he was told. He and Lucky clearly had some animosity, and it was quite amusing to witness their petty interactions.
Suddenly, after a few moments, Lucy Gray appears on screen, looking horrified. Bellova had to bite her lip to refrain from grinning. It seemed that the songbird’s luck was finally running out.
Jessup emerged a second later. He was clearly not well, he looked much worse than he did before the Games.
“What’d you do to me?” Jessup shrieked, backed Lucy Gray against a pile of rubble.
“Nothing!” she responded, her eyes wide with fear.
“Lyssie, what is he doing?” Bellova heard Coriolanus asked frantically.
“Something’s wrong,” Lysistrata replied, bewildered. “He wouldn’t turn on her like this.”
“Jessup going after Lucy Gray,” Lucky commented.
“Stop running!” Jessup demanded. “What did you…” He groaned mid-sentence. “What did you do to me?”
“I didn’t do anything!” Lucy Gray insisted.
“Both tributes from District 12. The same district folding in on itself.”
“Wait, look. The foam,” Coriolanus said.
“I think it’s rabies,” Lysistrata said, clearly disturbed. “That bite. From that train.”
Coriolanus stared at the screen, looking helplessly at his tribute who was nearing her inevitable doom. Then, he turned back to Jessup’s mentor.
“Send him water.”
“Wait, what?” Lysistrata asked.
“You remember the posters in the war? Rabies. It makes you afraid of water. Send him a drone.”
“That’ll scare him,” she protested.
“Yes. Away from her,” he insisted.
Bellova stood up. “Coriolanus-“
“Bellova, be quiet,” he snapped, not even bothering to look at her. “Jessup is done. Lyssie, you’re the only one that can get it right to him.”
Lysistrata clearly didn’t want to, but with a few clicks on her computer, water was being sent to Jessup by a drone.
“Thank you,” Coriolanus whispered.
Within minutes, Jessup was dead, and four lethal tributes were cornering Lucy Gray.
“Oh, look at this,” Lucky Flickerman said. “The Pack doing what they do best. Packing it in. Lucy Gray is swarmed, cornered. Mizzen, propellering his net.”
It looked again as if she was done for, but then-
“Mr. Snow going for his communipad,” Lucky continued. Bellova saw him send nine - no, ten drones towards Lucy Gray.
Bellova knew exactly what he was doing. He was using the drones to give her a chance to escape.
The drones came flying into the arena, causing The Pack to scatter. A few of them got hit, causing them cry out in pain and tumble to the stone-covered floor.
“These drones are not very good,” Lucky commented, as if it weren’t obvious. Some of the students who had caught onto Coriolanus’s plan started to jeer at him.
“Hey!” Vipsania Sickle said indignantly. “You can’t attack the tributes.”
“I’m just sending water,” Coriolanus said casually, as if he was completely innocent.
After gathering her bearings, Lucy Gray scrambled into a tunnel with Coral on her heels. She managed to pull the vent closed just in time, the metal door nearly crushing Coral’s fingers.
Bellova positioned herself a few inches away from Coriolanus. She was seething, but it didn’t show on her face. She simply looked indifferent, despite all of the violence that had just occurred in the Games.
“Snow, do you that time before the Dark Days when you pulled on my pigtails, so I slammed your face against my school desk?”
“Yes,” Coriolanus said, furrowing his eyebrows. “What about it?”
Bellova smiled crookedly, the violent glint in her eyes making Coriolanus visibly uncomfortable. “I’m about to fucking do it again, and this time, you’ll have more than a bleeding nose.”
He straightened his posture, smoothing out his Academy blazer.
“I’d like to see you try.”
Bellova’s hands twitched. She knew that decking him in front of the majority of the student board would get her in severe trouble, but it was very tempting.
Instead of punching him, she started to storm out of the auditorium.
“There goes Miss Reginelle. Clearly, the violence on screen has finally gotten to her-“
“Shut the fuck up, Flickerman, before I snap your microphone in half!” Bellova hissed. She threw up open the doors, and made sure to slam them behind her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bellova sat in the hallway outside of the auditorium, leaning her head against the wall behind her. Her anger was threatening to spill over, and her father would be very disappointed in her if she murdered someone on Academy grounds.
She had vowed to make Coriolanus pay if he pulled any more strings for his little songbird. And he had by sending that fleet of drones after her attackers. But clearly, nobody batted an eye at that. He had not been punished, or even reprimanded.
The thought of Coriolanus thinking longingly about Lucy Gray was almost enough to drive her mad.
Before she could do anything drastic, she heard the speakers inside the auditorium amplifying Dr. Gaul’s voice. Curious, she stood up and pressed her ear to the doors.
“Capitol citizens, I’m afraid I must interrupt our Games to announce a tragic loss, one that affects us all. Felix Ravinstill, son of our beloved president, has, this morning, succumbed to his injuries sustained in the rebel bombing.”
Bellova felt her heart drop. Felix wasn’t all that bad, when he wasn’t bragging about his life at least. She had even gone to the end-of-year Academy gala with him a couple of years ago. They had a wonderful time, and she was gifted a priceless gold necklace by him at the end of the night. She had worn it for a week straight afterwards, which delighted the young son of the president.
“Out there in the districts, they will be celebrating this young boy’s death as a triumph. I will not allow my Games to give our enemy such a victory. I swear to you, here and now, before the sun goes down tonight, a rainbow of destruction will engulf our arena. Even if it means there’s to be no victor in these Games.”
She gasped. She knew Dr. Gaul well enough to know she was completely serious. If she wanted someone gone, she’d stop at nothing until they dropped dead.
Mere moments later, Coriolanus burst through the doors, nearly slamming right into Bellova.
“What are you doing out here?” she asked, scowling at him.
He sneered down at her, beginning to walk away. She followed him, despite knowing he really didn’t want her to. “As if I’d tell you.”
Bellova sighed. “I told you earlier, Coriolanus, if you don’t tell me, I’ll figure it out on my own-“
“Fine!” he huffed. “I’d do anything to shut you up at this point. You’re insufferable.”
“The feeling is mutual, Snow. Now spill it, what’s going on?”
Coriolanus, against his better judgement, told her everything. Well, almost everything. He told her about how he retrieved Sejanus from the arena, but omitted the part about killing Bobbin. He explained that he needed to see Dr. Gaul immediately, for the stitches in his back from the previous evening were coming loose.
Bellova frowned. She briefly felt bad that he was in pain, but couldn’t bring herself to actually care. She was still angry at him.
She also noticed he said was being very vague with his details. He was definitely hiding something.
“What’s that face for?” Coriolanus asked as they approached the Citadel, which housed Gaul’s laboratory.
“What face?”
“That scowl. You’re clearly not pleased about something, so what is it?”
She smirked. “As if I’d tell you,” she said, mimicking his words from earlier.
Coriolanus’s jaw clenched, which satisfied Bellova immensely. She loved seeing his patience waver, it was strangely addicting.
“Will you ever learn to keep your bratty mouth shut?” he asked, his voice raising a touch.
“Bratty?” Bellova scoffed. “I’d prefer it if you called me a bitch.”
Dr. Gaul’s lab was just a few corridors away at this point. Bellova knew that causing a scene here wouldn’t be wise, but she honestly did not care. She could easily talk her way out if it.
Coriolanus glowered at her, his blue eyes icier than ever. “Go back to the auditorium, Bellova. I know you love watching the Games, and you’re probably missing all of the action.”
She laughed. “So all of a sudden, you want me to be happy. Seriously, Snow, if you want to get rid of me, just say so.”
He smirked at her condescendingly. “Then I will. Get out of here, you have no place in Gaul’s lab anyway. It’s too much for your pathetically shallow brain to comprehend.”
Bellova stared at him for a moment. It has been awhile since he’d said something quite that harsh. It was normal for him to question her intellect, but calling her dumb? That was low, even for him.
Coriolanus was obviously anticipating a slap to the face. He was not prepared, however, for Bellova to swipe her claw-like nails across his face like a wild animal.
Stunned, he watched Bellova walk away as the new gashes on his face began to sting. As she reached the end of the hall, she screamed “You’re such an asshole!” before disappearing from Coriolanus’s sight.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bellova sat in the stands instead of with the mentors, watching as Dr. Gaul’s “rainbow of destruction” engulf the remaining tributes in the arena.
She had no idea that when Dr. Gaul said “rainbow”, she was referring to hundreds of colorful, deadly snakes.
She watched, entranced, as the beautiful mutations smothered the tributes, picking them off one-by-one. She had never admired the “mad” scientist more. Her work was truly beautiful.
Wovey, Reaper, Mizzen, and Coral were soon dead, lying lifelessly beneath the swarm of snakes.
“Now, all colors lead to Gray,” Lucky Flickerman said.
Coriolanus stood watching the screen, amazed at his own success. “She’s… She’s won. It’s over, she’s won.” He looked over to Dr. Gaul, who was standing to the side. “She’s won, let her out.”
The doctor smiled. “Afraid that’s not your call to make, Mr. Snow.”
Bellova bit back a laugh when Lucy Gray began to sing. At least she’d be able to get in once last performance before her vocal chords went slack.
“Dr. Gaul, she won!” Coriolanus repeated, desperation seeping into his voice. “It’s over, let her out.”
“Why aren’t they attacking her?” someone asked.
“Must be the singing,” Coriolanus replied. “It’s calming them.”
He really was a terrible liar.
“She can’t sing forever,” Festus said.
Bellova noticed some of the students around her begin to cry as they watched Lucy Gray sing shakily. ‘Pathetic,’ she thought.
“Dr. Gaul, please,” Coriolanus begged. “Get her out. Get her out!”
One by one, the Academy students began to chant “Get her out! Get her out!”, almost overpowering the sound of Lucy Gray’s singing.
‘No,’ Bellova thought desperately. ‘Don’t. Just let her die.’
Then, Coriolanus said, “Who will watch the Games if there’s no victor?”
The chanting came to a halt.
Dr. Gaul looked around, seeing that she was vastly outnumbered. “Get her out,” she murmured just loud enough to be heard.
“She’s won! Lucy Gray!” Lucky Flickerman cried over the roar of the student body. “Coriolanus Snow is the winner of the 10th Annual Hunger Games!”
Bellova’s face burned with fury, her patience finally snapping after days of wearing thin.
She was no longer willing to overlook Coriolanus’s behavior. She had let him get away with too much.
It was time that he faced some real consequences.
As she exited the hall quietly, she smiled, a cruel, twisted smile. She knew exactly how she would make him pay.
Wanda just couldn't take it anymore. She couldn't take the way you bit your lip innocently while you were focused, or the seemingly magnetic field that drew her eyes to your figure whenever you leaned over to pick the kids' toys up before you left, or the urge to rip your bathing suit right off you whenever you took them swimming in the pool. You were an unwitting seductress, an embodiment of Wanda's irresistible temptations. You were her babysitter.
When Wanda unexpectedly had to go away for a few days on a work trip, two nights to be exact, you were there for her like Batman. Besides being incredibly sexy, you were excellently punctual and always took perfect care of the kids. In fact, the twins loved you and demanded you always be their babysitter after the very first time Wanda hired you.
Wanda was able to come home a couple hours earlier than she had expected to, and she found herself excited as she pulled in the driveway. Of course, she was thrilled to see the kids, but she was enthralled to see you again. While you often left as she came or came as she left, sometimes you stayed to chat for a while. Sometimes, Wanda wanted you to come watch the kids even when she was home because she had to do a lot of "cleaning" or "remote work at home." Truthfully, she would just watch you in the pool from the kitchen window.
When she walked through the front door, she was met with the sight of you sitting on the floor with Billy and Tommy with about a thousand puzzle pieces scattered all over the carpet. What was in tact from the puzzle was only about one-fourth of what it was supposed to be, signaling to her that you had just started the puzzle.
"Mom!" the boys greeted Wanda as she closed the door and came into the living room, pulling her suitcase behind her. Still in their sweet years, they rushed to her and attacked her with hugs around her waist.
Wanda giggled and hugged them, kissing the tops of their heads. "Boys," she greeted them before moving her eyes to you. "Y/n."
You looked rather surprised by Wanda's appearance. You were a bit of a shy thing, always worried you were doing something wrong or upsetting Wanda in some way. The only time you ever upset her was when you mentioned a girlfriend, but you hadn't talked about her since she overhead you crying on the phone to someone about it. Other than that, you were perfect.
"Ms. Maximoff," you breathed, standing up from the floor and feeling weak in the legs. Wanda had always had that effect on you, given your gigantic crush on her, but you were surprised to see her home so early. "I didn't know you were coming home early, or else I wouldn't have started this puzzle with them." You scratched your head nervously and looked down at the floor that admittedly was a mess from all the tiny pieces of the huge puzzle. You thought you would have several hours to finish it.
"No, no, that's alright, hon," Wanda grinned at you, waving your worries away with her hand. "You can stay here and finish it with them if you want," she spoke in a casual tone that smoothly hid how much she really wanted you to stay. She shielded her mouth from the boys and whispered, "I'll pay you overtime."
You chuckled and shook your head. "No, you don't have to pay me. It's perfectly fine."
"So you'll finish the puzzle with us?!" Billy exclaimed, with Tommy's face lighting up as well.
"Sure!" you told them, sitting down on the floor in front of the puzzle. "My hair may be gray by the time we're done, but sure!" you reiterated as the boys quickly plopped down around you, leaning over the puzzle and collecting a few pieces to try out.
Wanda smiled in satisfaction that you were going to stay longer. If she had it her way, you would be staying there all night. "I'll be right back," she told you and the boys, exiting the room and pulling her suitcase down the hallway to her bedroom. As she opened the door, she noticed a few things that surprised her.
For one, her bed was unmade, unlike how it had been when she left. The sheets were messily strewn as if someone had been sleeping in it. Also, sitting on top of the chest at the end of the bed was a duffel bag with its top open, revealing clothes inside of it, some partially hanging out of the bag.
Wanda remembered that you had to use her bedroom during your stay because the guest room was being renovated. She vaguely remembered flippantly telling you just to use her bed as she was rushing out the door to catch her flight.
Something about it made her smile. Coming closer to the bed and throwing her heavy suitcase onto it, she curiously looked down at your bag. She could see a utility bag, some random shirts, a pair of sandals, and lastly, a pair of black, lacey underwear.
Wanda's eyes widened at the sight. They were just sitting there on the very top of all the bag's contents as if wanting to be seen. Her fists balled at her side, her palms itchy to reach out and take the panties. She bargained with herself on reasons why she should just close the bag and get to unpacking hers, but her mind was going rampant imagining what it looked like on you.
After a quick glance to the door to make sure you weren't around, she slowly reached into your bag and took the thin fabric between her fingers, pulling it out of the bag. She held it up, finding the hem with her fingers so she could hold them out wide.
"So this is what you're wearing under those clothes everyday," she mumbled to herself, licking her lips at the thought. Slowly, she brought your underwear closer to her face, pressing the crotch of the fabric gently against her nose and inhaling. When she realized the panties were used because she could smell the scent of arousal on them, she nearly audibly moaned. Her eyes fluttered shut as she grunted and inhaled your scent, feeling deliciously dirty at now knowing just what you smelled like. She imagined having her head buried between your thighs, lapping at your—
"Hey, Ms. Maximoff—“
Fuck. Wanda jumped at the sound of your voice coming from the door behind her and swiftly pushed the panties into the inner pocket of her coat before whipping around to look at you with the most natural face possible.
"Sorry, I didn't get a chance to clean up because I thought you were going to be back later," you apologized, coming closer to her and stepping past her to zip up your duffel bag, not wanting to make her uncomfortable by seeing any of your delicates. "Here, I'll go ahead and start washing the bedsheets so that they'll be done before I leave tonight." Then you went around the bed and leaned over it to start pulling the sheets off, and as much as Wanda enjoyed the sight, she quickly stopped you.
"You don't have to do that, y/n." She tried to keep her face as casual as possible when you looked up at her questioningly. "I can wash them later. You're my babysitter, not a maid." You chuckled shyly at her comment, stepping away from the bed and grabbing your duffel bag to get it out of her way. "Also," Wanda chirped before you could walk away, "Do you mind staying for a few hours until they go to bed? It's just—I'm really tired, and I don't think I could handle the boys' energy tonight."
"Oh, of course," you agreed with a nod, feeling excited if anything to get to be in Wanda's presence, even if she was probably just going to nap. "Should I just order a pizza for their dinner?"
"Sure, here." Wanda reached into her other pocket, the one that your used panties were not in, and took out her wallet, getting out some cash and handing it to you.
You took the cash and smiled graciously. "Thank you, Ms. Maximoff." Wanda felt a shiver dance in her spine at the sound of you calling her that. "I'll let you get some rest. Do you want the door closed?"
"Yes, please," Wanda answered with a polite smile as you slowly backed out of the room and closed the door behind you, leaving Wanda alone with your panties and her sinful fantasies.
+
Wanda had spent some time with you and the boys when the pizza arrived, but soon enough she couldn't take the excitement of what she was planning any longer. The three of you were entirely preoccupied, so Wanda told you that she was tired and was going to go to bed and to keep playing with the twins until they get tired. So she slipped off to her room, closing the door behind her and then plopping into her bed.
The woman turned her face to the side so that her nose was against the pillow and breathed in. Her pillows smelled like your perfume, and Wanda swore she would never wash her sheets again. Reaching her hand up, she slipped it underneath the pillow and slowly dragged your panties out from under it where she had hidden them.
Wanda shamelessly brought the fabric to her nose this time, letting herself exude a quiet moan. She imagined you straddling her face, grinding your pussy against her mouth while your breasts bounced above her. She imagined the look on your innocent face as you came, your doe eyes squeezing shut and mouth falling open.
Fingertips found the button of her pants before she slipped her hand into her own underwear and rubbed herself, eyes fluttering closed at the feeling. Her hips moved up against her hand as she continued inhaling your scent and imagining all the things she wanted to do to you.
She wanted to have you on your knees, mouth wide open and ready to be stuffed with her strap. She wanted to watch you gag and cry on her cock, to stroke your hair and push it in even deeper down your throat. She wanted to splay you open wide, to stretch your pussy out with her cock. She didn't know if you were a virgin or not, but either way she wanted to feel your tight little pussy around her. She wanted to dirty you up, to spit in your mouth, to absolutely ravage you the way she had been wanting to do for months.
Touching herself wasn't enough. If she didn't stimulate these primal urges inside of her, she was going to go mad.
Reaching over to her nightstand, Wanda took out her dual, cum-filled strap. It was her favorite toy, and while she didn't get to use it on many people here lately due to her desires being utterly consumed by your unattainable self, she had the pleasure of fucking the strap into her second favorite toy—a fleshlight.
Wanda pulled the harness onto herself, moaning when she felt the smaller dildo in the harness slide into her snugly. She turned over and kneeled, situating the fleshlight against the bed and holding it in place at the perfect angle. This certainly was not the first time she had done this.
She held your panties to her nose as she slowly slid inside the toy, bucking her hips up so that the dildo rubbed perfectly inside her. She shuddered at the feeling, imagining the sound of your sweet whines as she slid inside you. She wondered if you would claw at her back, or if you would grab at the sheets if she had you on your stomach.
What Wanda didn't wonder was whether or not she had locked the door, which it turns out she didn't. The boys were starting to get tired, so you told them to go get ready for bed while you cleaned up the puzzle. While the boys were upstairs getting ready, you walked to Wanda's room to let her know that you were putting them to bed and would leave after that.
As you approached the door, you paused. From behind the wooden surface, you could hear the sound of panting. Was Wanda just snoring? You assumed that was what it was since Wanda said she was going to sleep. You didn't want to wake her up by knocking on the door, so you slowly opened the door as quietly as you could, and what you saw was not Wanda sleeping.
Instead, Wanda was kneeling on the bed, pants-less, wearing a harness around her hips. She was thrusting into some object, and as she pulled out to reveal a large strap-on, you realized that she was using a fleshlight.
You felt hot all over, as if you had been placed in boiling water. It froze you, forced you to stand there through the crack of the door and watch the way Wanda rolled her hips into the fake pussy, her eyebrows sewn together in pleasure. She was holding something up to her nose, and when you recognized it as your dirty panties, desire bloomed in the pit of your stomach
"Fuck, you feel so good, y/n," Wanda whispered, "Fuck, fuck, fuck." The sound of her name rolling off her lips was enough for you to clasp your hand over your mouth to keep from gasping. Your knees trembled as you watched Wanda orgasm with your name being whispered off her lips like honey, pushing herself deeper into the fleshlight. You noticed her moving her hand from her mouth and downwards, and when she pulled her cock back out, thick, fake cum shot all over the pussy. Your mouth watered at the sight, and when Wanda rubbed the cum all around the fleshlight with the tip of her strap while pressing your panties to her face again, you couldn't physically handle seeing any more. Quickly and quietly, you left the doorway with a tremble in your step.
+
It was hard to sleep after what you saw. It was even harder to accept Wanda's request for you to watch the kids one night while she had a late meeting. Of course, you couldn't deny her, so you agreed. Whatever meeting she had ran super late because the kids had already been asleep for an hour, and you were sitting on the couch alone watching TV. Being distracted by the boys was enough to get your mind off what you had seen, but now that you were alone, it was all your pathetic brain could think about.
The way she had been thrusting into the fleshlight, the way she came in and on it, the way she had moaned your name, the fact that she had your dirty underwear. Usually, someone would be totally freaked out and offended to know that someone was fantasizing and had even taken their used undergarments, but your crush on Wanda was enough for you to find it utterly enthralling. You couldn't believe the woman had apparently had a thing for you too all this time.
Now that you knew, should you just go on as normal? Knowing that she felt the same way about you, and after what you had seen, how was that possible?
Was what you'd seen even real? Were you just tired and hallucinating something that originated from your own fantasies?
Deciding you needed to see for yourself, you got up from the couch and tiptoed down the hall. You didn't know why you were being so quiet—the boys were asleep upstairs and Wanda wasn't home. The only noise in the house was the TV drifting from the living room.
You slowly entered Wanda's room, feeling a rushing sense of guilt for doing so. You knew this was invading her privacy, but she had stolen your underwear, after all, and that was about the most invasive thing that could happen even if you found it shamefully hot.
Wondering where she kept your panties, you lifted up the pillows, but they weren't there. You pulled back the sheets a bit, wondering if they were lost under there from another one of her trysts, but they were nowhere near the bed. So you opened the top drawer of the nightstand, only finding random stuff. Even though you were on a mission to find your panties, you found it cute seeing what kind of stuff Wanda had in her nightstand.
You finished rummaging through the top drawer and then opened the bottom drawer, immediately finding what you were looking for and so much more. Not only was your underwear nestled in the corner of the drawer, but there were a few straps and other toys sitting in the drawer, along with the fleshlight and the strap-on she used.
Your curiosity got the best of you. Slowly reaching inside, you took the strap-on and pulled it out. Just its size alone made your mouth fall open. The inner crotch of the harness had a small dildo attached to it, and there was a small tube that seamlessly went into the larger, outer dildo attached to a tiny pump. It was quite seamless and efficient, and while you were admiring the toy, you were moreso wondering what it would feel like being used on you.
Sure, you'd felt your fingers inside you while you dreamed of Wanda fucking you, but now you had the cock she would actually fuck you with if she ever did. How would it feel inside you? How would Wanda feel inside you...
You weren't going to actually fuck yourself with it, you told yourself. You just wanted to feel how it felt inside you, that was all. It had a very ergonomic shape to it, after all, and while you were bargaining with yourself you were already hastily pulling your pants down.
You crawled onto the bed in the same spot you saw Wanda fucking the fleshlight, laying on your back and spreading your legs. Since you had been thinking about Wanda all day, you didn't even need to prepare yourself as you lined the dildo up to your entrance. You rubbed the tip around your hole, biting your lip as you imagined Wanda's hands on you. Your eyes fluttered closed as you pushed the dildo inside you, mouth falling open at the feeling.
Unfortunately, you were only a couple inches in when the door of the bedroom suddenly flew open. You nearly screamed, whipping your head towards the door and seeing Wanda standing there with wide eyes.
"Wanda!" you exclaimed, your face burning bright red when you realize what she'd caught you doing. You were on your back, legs spread and knees bent up, holding Wanda's harnessed strap between your legs. You quickly pulled out the only couple of inches that was inside you and sat up. "I—I can explain."
"No, I think I can explain for you," Wanda purred, closing the door and locking it. She sauntered towards you, hands instantly going to her pants and greedily unbuttoning them. "I know you caught me the other day," she admitted, to which your eyes widened.
"I'm sorry," you whispered, "I didn't mean to, I just—“
"Shhh," she whispered, placing her hand on the edge of the bed near your feet and leaning over to look at you as she unzipped her pants. "I'm glad you saw. Because I knew you would come back in here, and I knew I would walk in on you being a little slut for me."
Wanda kicked her pants and underwear down and took the harness from you, stepping into it and pulling it up. Her dark eyes fluttered as the inner dildo reached her, and she looked down and grabbed her cock, seeing that the very end was wettened by your pussy. It looked like you had only gotten a couple inches in before she walked in.
"Th-There never was a meeting, was there?" you whispered as Wanda crawled on the bed over you, watching you like a lion. Her lips were parted, lower teeth showing as she took your thighs and spread them. You laid flat against the bed again, staring up at her and trying to decipher if it was just a really good dream or if it was real.
"Nope," Wanda shook her head. "I wanted to see if you liked the idea of what you saw. Turns out, you liked it enough to put my cock inside you." With that, she nudged the tip against your entrance but left it there, swirling it around your hole. "I can't tell you how much I've wanted to screw you full of my cum," she husked, pushing it in just a bit further. "Now I know you've wanted the same."
You gasped at the feeling, grabbing onto her shoulders. You couldn't believe this was actually happening. You'd been dreaming about this woman for months now, and now here she was, kneeling between your legs and threatening your entrance with her cock.
"You want me to fuck you?" she whispered, pushing it in only an inch and dragging it back out again.
"Yes, Ms. Maximoff," you whined, arching your hips towards her.
Wanda moaned at the sound of her formal name coming from your lips. "Please, call me Mommy," she said politely before snapping her hips forward and pushing her cock all the way inside you. Your eyes bulged at the feeling, nails grabbing at her skin as she pumped herself deep inside you before dragging back out again.
"Mommy!" you whined as she thrust back in against, the very tip of her strap pushing into your cervix. She was so large and so deep that even through the painful stretch in your pussy, you dwelled in the feeling of her nudging into your stomach.
"Mmm, fuck, you like being my little fleshlight, don't you? I bet that's why you agreed to babysit for me in the first place, huh?" Wanda groaned in a strained voice that was punctuated with her fast and hard thrusts. "You just wanted me to fuck your tight pussy all I wanted to."
"Yes," you admitted, and although your intentions hadn't been so specific, what drew you most to Wanda was how much you desired her. Her knowing that and using it against you was shamefully hot.
Wanda grabbed your knees and bent them towards you, spreading you further for her. "God, I want to paint your womb with my cum," Wanda grunted, her thrusts changing as she found a perfect angle that pleasured herself just right. "I want you filled with my seed until it's dripping out of you."
Her words were sending you into a spiral. Your head was spinning so hard that you were mostly grabbing onto Wanda to not pass out, clawing at her back as she ravaged your pussy. Every time she moved inside you, the slick, sloshing sound of your soaked pussy filled the air. Her hips slapped crudely against your ass, Wanda having no shame in fucking you so dirty.
"Fuck, Mommy," you breathed as she started to rub your clit in circles. The dual pleasure brought a new wave of warmth inside you, your back arching off the bed. Wanda was fucking you so hard and good, and with her own grunts and moans filling the air, you were losing vision in your eyes.
"Take my fucking cock," Wanda grunted, her free hand moving to gently grab your throat, unsure if it was what you wanted or not. "Take it like the slut you are." When you let out an extra sharp moan in response, Wanda squeezed your throat harder. Your legs were bouncing around her with each of her thrusts, the bed starting to squeak.
"Fuck, y/n," she breathed, biting her lip as she started to come close. Her thrusts became sloppier and faster, and you came crashing into an immense orgasm that blinded you. "Fuck!" Wanda moaned as she came, and a moment later you felt her rushing cum fill the innards of your pussy, spurting right into your cervix as she pushed her hips as deeply into you as possible. The warm feeling eased you down from your orgasm, panting and sweating against the mattress as Wanda buried her face into your shoulder and caught her breath.
You stayed like that for a moment until Wanda leaned up and looked down, watching as she pulled her cock out of you, strings of your cum and her own attaching to it. Once she pulled out with a pop, her cum started to ooze out of your red, throbbing hole, dripping down onto the sheets.
"I'll take you up on that offer to clean the sheets," Wanda breathed with a grin, but you were too dazed and fucked to even hear her, legs trembling weakly. Wanda smirked and leaned up, grabbing you by the hips and slamming you onto her cock again.
Hi would you like to draw Spider as street kid in modern au? I really like your Billy Batson art + the way you draw Spider so I think this combination would be so perfect 😅 I totally understand if not, anyway have a nice day/night!
BOY DO I HAVE NEWS FOR YOU—
Ever since @naavispider responded to a prompt about street kid Spider meeting Quaritch, I was very interested in the idea so I def wanna draw that but for now, let me present you with some thing I came up with.
.
Street kid Spider modern AU
Imagine Miles Spider Socorro in the modern AU, escaping from the foster system bc he was treated very poorly and decided to gamble with the homeless life instead. He lives like that for maybe three-four years when Miles tracks him down. Because the boy is so good at parkour, he’s been given the street nickname of Spider, which the blonde is proud of and uses as his real name.
Spider lives in the attic of an abandoned mall that is so overgrown with unkept plants and trees that it’s more of a jungle. He takes care of many cats who made themselves at home there and as a result of being around them 24/7 develops some of their mannerisms, like head movements when curious, crouching and hissing when agitated. He doesn’t get much proper human contact until meeting the Sullies.
The Sully kids have moved in not long ago and crave adventure. The overgrown mall looks like a magical forest to them and in it they find Spider, a creature of the woods with his long, curly, matted hair, ripped and stitched together over a thousand times clothes, trinkets worn on his neck like necklaces, and the many cats surrounding him. Spider smells like soil and cat food and is initially scared of the four children (four bc you’d never catch Neteyam exploring abandoned buildings, he’s a good boy), ready to fight them like he fought every other street-dweller ever since ending up outside of care. Out here, the kids mostly end up either as addicts or in gangs, so Spider had no friends his age…until that fateful day.
From that point on, Spider becomes their secret friend and the siblings visit him every day. They love his bravery and sass, underneath which lies a compassionate heart of gold. They not only buy him necessities, but even help him shoplift on some days, not only for himself but for the street animals as well, plus old homeless people who huddle around makeshift fires on cold nights. They become sort of robins in their own right, and Jake, together with Neytiri, although suspect something, don’t know about the secret bestie their kids made.
Neteyam suspect much more and slowly puts the puzzle together. He is not thrilled.
All is well, life is looking up…until Kiri tells Spider one day, as they hang out in the roof, that she heard in the news of a certain “Miles Quaritch” getting out of prison, advising that the boy stays safe.
She stills when she sees the sheer look of horror on his face.
“Spider..?..”
“I…”
“…You know him?”
“Promise me you won’t freak out.”
“I-I won’t, I won’t.”
“…
I’m, like…his son.”
From that point on the drama quickly ramps up because Spider’s social cervices agent Norm has also tracked the kid down to this city, operating on rumours and rare camera footage of the boy. It doesn’t make the situation easier that Norm is also friends with Jake and keeps venting to him about how miserable and hurt Spider must be while the Sully kids are right there knowing where he hides.
And that’s pretty much the gist of this AU. For Spider, it’s a tense situation where he has to be sneakier than ever bc cps are close on his track and his father is even closer and he wants his son back. On both fronts, Socorro is threatened with a total loss of freedom and autonomy. The kids have to be sneaky too when they visit him…but no one can be sneaky enough to pass under Quaritch’s nose.
Little Minx | Billy Hargrove x Alt! Reader
Warnings: Smut, smut and more smut. Everything about this is purely sexual
Words: 2.3k
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
You loved your little summer habit. Every day, for the past 3 weeks, you take a nap from 9pm to 12pm, to sneak off to Lovers Lake at 1am. You had time for yourself, could go skinny dipping, swim a bit, just be yourself with no other people watching. It was the perfect scenario. And, just like any other day, you were just there at Lovers Lake. You stayed in your car for 30 minutes while waiting for a teenage couple to finish making out and drive off. They did, eventually, which was your que to get out of your car, take off your clothes and get into the large body of water. You floated on your back, taking in the fresh night air, letting your thoughts wash away with every breeze. This was your ideal summer activity. What you didn't know is that someone knew about what you did this summer.
Billy Hargrove has been looking at you ever since he came to Hawkins. His high school friends didn't associate with yours, the freaks, causing him to never directly talk to you. But he always found other ways. A wink here, a brush of your hand there. He knew he could have you if he wanted to, and you knew that you were beyond attracted to him. He tried denying these feelings at first, but whenever he saw how beautiful your red lipstick looked when you smiled, or how much your eyebrow piercing made your eyes pop, he couldn't deny it anymore. Once he found out you had a tongue piercing, his mind went feral. And he doesn't even know about your other two piercings yet. The best part: You've slept with the basketball team in the past, and shit, did they describe you as a freak in multiple ways.
Billy finally saw his chance to actually talk with you, make sure you melt underneath him. Of course, he wasn't a creep. Billy didn't watch you get undressed, and he didn't watch you until he heard that you were in the water. Then, he stepped out of his far-parked car and walked up to the lake. "It's dangerous to swim without a lifeguard.", he said. You jumped up, covered your chest in embarrassment and scanned the area for the known voice. "What the fuck, Billy?", you said loudly while still trying to find him between the bushes and the twigs. "Just looking out for you, sweetheart." His figure moved in the front of your car, seemingly taking off his jacket. "Should I come in to make sure you're safe?" You knew he had a thing for you ever since he first looked you in the eyes. His facial expression, his eyes, the way his jaw clenched; it screamed horny. And, oh, did you enjoy it. The fact that popular basketball player Billy Hargrove was dying to get his dick sucked by you was hilarious, yet thrilling. At this point, you wanted to know if he fucks as good as the cheerleaders say he does.
"Sure thing, Mr. Lifeguard.", you replied while getting into the water at collar bone level. Some rustling was heard, a belt opening, zipper going down and soon enough Billy joined you in the lake. He swam over to you, grabbing your waist as soon as he reached you. "Wanna make sure you don't drown, pretty thing." The moonlight made his facial expressions clear and complimented his eyes even more than the sun does. But his lashes, oh, his beautiful lashes. You thought they were so long and full, causing a bit of jealousy to arise in you. "Aren't you charming?", you teased with a smirk. A low chuckle left his lips while getting dangerously close to you. "This can be our little secret.", you continued. "A dirty, little secret that will connect us for the rest of our lives." His lips grazed over yours before pulling away slightly. "You fucking minx.", he breathed out against the thin skin of your lips. Billy's hands found their way from your hips to your ass, giving it a firm squeeze before having his left hand travel up to your boobs. You, on the other hand, wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled his body closer to yours. "I'll be your little minx tonight if you get me to behave." Your voice was so innocent, but he knew what you were doing. It drove him wild.
"Shit sweetheart, you truly are a minx.", he said after taking a deep breath in. You had your forehead leaned against his shoulder, trying to calm down from your high by concentrating on your breathing. It didn't work as well as you hoped. "Were you serious about being my whore or did you say that just for the reward?" You let out a light chuckle at his words. "I was serious.", you replied. "Be grateful, I already fuck half of Hellfire weekly." Eddie Munson was your best friend in bed, he'd be so disappointed if you would have to stop your arrangement. Billy chuckled at your words while playing with your hair.
"You don't have to. But you're gonna be ready for me at all times, little minx."
///.
The rooftop is his favorite place to be. It’s calm, though you can hear the sounds of the city below you. Billy likes the whooshing of the cars on the highway and the drunken chatter of college kids bar hopping. Soothing. Happy sounds. Not like the ones he hears at home. The second he’s through the door, Neil’s berating him for whatever he’s stewed on while Billy was gone. So suffice to say, Billy stays out of the house most days and nights. The grace period from having Max and Susan is over and Neil isn’t hiding who he truly is anymore. As Billy rolls his spliff, he remembers Susan’s reaction the first time his dad had smacked him upside the head in front of her. It was unmoving, her face stoic and a look in her eye like Billy deserved it. He can’t even remember what prompted it, but that was the glorious thing about Neil’s fists, they didn’t need a reason. Billy could have moved the dish soap in the kitchen a centimeter and that would be enough to set his dad off. So why the hell would he be home when he could be anywhere else?
Absent. That’s what Max called him this morning. Just like his mother, he thought. It was true. Billy was numb to it all. He could be there but not really. Auto pilot, doing what’s expected but without reason behind it. He’s floating through life without real meaning to it. Billy hopes he’ll find something worth living for. Shit, most sixteen year olds have no true passion for life but no other kids have Neil as a father. He’s pulled out of his thoughts when his buddy, Reggie changes the cassette in the boombox. He’s supposed to be having a good time, he reminds himself, not thinking about how bad he doesn’t want to be at home. Billy licks up the side of the paper to seal the spliff, reaching for his zippo and lighting it up. He inhales deeply, letting his eyelids close with the motion as the sharp smoke fills his lungs and immediately relaxes him. Fuck, weeds awesome. Reggie’s been on this New Wave kick and Billy can’t stand it, unless he’s stoned. When he’s stoned, all music is pretty rad. So the Joy Division cassette isn’t the worst he’s heard. It fits Billy’s mood pretty well. He won’t admit it, the goddamn hopelessness of the lyrics hit him square in the chest and make him feel a little less alone.
“The girls are taking forever,” Reggie complains and Billy agrees. He could really use a beer, cotton mouth kicking in far too quick for his liking.
With a shrug, Billy peers over the edge to see if he can get a glimpse of you guys. You’ve been dating a couple months at this point, but you’ve been friends for years. Right after Billy’s mom left and Neil uprooted him from the house they shared to an apartment in the heart of the city. Billy misses that house and that apartment. You lived in the complex and he’d met you while he was graffitiing the apartments playground slide with a sharpie. He thinks he was drawing a crude pair of tits but he can’t remember, knows for sure he’d scribbled his favorite swear words at the time all over it. You guys were eleven years old. You came up to him and asked if you could draw something. You drew a cartoonish dick and right then, Billy decided you were gonna be friends.
Then Neil met Susan a few years later when he was fourteen. They moved quick and got married a month after meeting. He hates moving, so he wasn’t thrilled when Neil and Susan insisted on finding a three bedroom house closer to Max’s school. Luckily, Billy didn’t have to change schools but the house was in a cookie cutter suburb instead of the city. Plus, you weren’t a two minute walk away anymore and Neil got to keep him on a shorter leash.
“Beeeer!!!” you and Cindy, Reggie’s girlfriend cheer in unison as you climb up onto the roof through the fire escape.
“Finally,” Reggie grunts, snatching the spliff from Billy’s fingers and extends his opposite hand for a beer.
“Why are you listening to this depressing shit?” Cindy complains as she hands him an Old Milwaukee, “We’re supposed to be partying.”
“Eh, it’s not so bad,” Billy shrugs as you nestle yourself next to him on the edge of the roof, he wraps his arm around you and accepts the beer you offer.
Cindy gapes, “You’re the last person I’d expect that from.”
Billy doesn’t respond. Instead, he cracks his beer open and looks over the edge of the roof again. He sees a handful of girls stumbling beneath and he wonders if he hawked a loogie down could he hit them and what would they do. Saliva fills his mouth in anticipation but he decides against it. They’re pretty and their reactions probably won’t be all that exciting. He’s confident about his aim, though, figures he could land it on one particular girls’ cleavage. He smirks to himself as he brings the can to his lips and averts his eyes to his friends, looking for the spliff. It’s in Reggie’s hands again so Billy leans over and snatches it.
“Stop bogarting, asshat,” he snaps.
“Relax,” Reggie mumbles, “we tried passing it but you’re too busy checking out the chicks on the street.”
“I wasn’t checking them out,” Billy defends himself.
“Sure,” you sigh next to him before standing up and making your way to sit on the torn up couch Reggie and Cindy are lounging on.
Billy rolls his eyes, taking a hit off the spliff before looking down at his watch. The football game is probably almost over and Neil’s most likely dozing to sleep, drunk off a twelve pack. But Billy doesn’t intend to go home for a while, well after midnight. It’s summer after all. He could probably crash at Reggie’s tonight. It’s a good excuse to spend time with him because usually, Billy has to steer clear of him during the school year. Neil would kill him if he’d seen Billy hanging around a black kid. He’d probably kill Reggie too. In the summer it’s safe, but during the school year, his curfew is strict and Neil would rather Billy hang out at home. He brings friends around sometimes, but never Reggie.
You keep giving Billy an angry look. Max’s words this morning ring in his ears. Absent. Billy knows that’s why you’re mad at him too. You’d had the conversation a hundred times this summer alone. He doesn’t put enough effort into the relationship, you told him. Asked him if he wanted to go back to being just friends. But Billy assured you that he didn’t, promised to do better. He’s always being told he isn’t good enough. By everyone in his life. So much so that he’s gone numb to that too. Figures the least he can do is accept that he’s never going to be what people want him to be. It’s easier that way, anyways. Hard to let it get to him if he just doesn’t give a shit anymore.
The thing is, Billy just turned 16 and Neil’s expecting him to work this summer so you’ll just have to deal. He’s excited to get a job, excited to save up his money so he can get a car. He got his license the day after his birthday, figures by the end of August he should have enough to buy a beater car. Something he can fix up real nice. Something that’s his, proof he can accomplish a goal, proof he’s not such a goddamn waste.
He was supposed to be job hunting today but he didn’t. He got up early enough to surf, got home and showered, put on his fanciest button up that was a hand-me-down from his dad and told him he was off to fill out applications. He got stoned at Reggie’s house and the two of them watched TV for hours until Cindy called. Billy can do it tomorrow. It shouldn’t be too hard to find a job. Maybe he can work at the surf shop. The owner likes him a lot. He’s even talked about Billy becoming a team rider. Billy tries not to get his hopes up about that. Neil doesn’t care for surfing, tells Billy it’s a waste of time. Not a skill for the real world. That’s what Billy likes about surfing though. It drags him far away from reality, his mind can finally relax when he’s catching waves.
He smokes the spliff until it’s a burnt roach, tossing it over the roof and stands up. Pacing around, he ignores the conversation the three of you are having as he focuses in on the buzz from the weed. He can feel the air better, feels like he can breathe better than ever before. He stares up at the moon, admiring how the clouds skate passed it. He lays on the floor, hands behind his head and focuses on the craters he can see in the moon. It’s full and he can kind of see a face in the craters, if he tilts his head it also looks like a little girl with a triangle dress.
Suddenly, he feels a hand on his stomach and he turns to see you, sitting beside him with a curious smile. He returns it with lopsided one of his own.
“Get bored of ‘em?” he asks, softly.
You turn to look at Reggie and Cindy, his eyes follow to see the couple making out.
“Ah,” he purses his lips, “It’s that portion of the party, is it?”
You nod and Billy pats his hips, signaling you to climb into his lap. Once you do, he’s wrapping a hand around your neck and luring you down, lips hovering. You feel his teeth as he smiles before placing a tentative kiss to your lips. It starts slow, lazy from his dazed, stoned state. Billy prefers kissing when he’s high, doesn’t much care for it when he’s sober. But for some reason, in this altered state, it doesn’t feel as gross to him. Billy never tells you he doesn’t like kissing or that he thinks it’s kind of disgusting. When he’s horny enough, it’s not gross and he’ll lick into your mouth all sloppy as long as his dicks inside you. It’s not his foreplay though.
He can hear Reggie grunting and groaning. He doesn’t have to look over to know Cindy’s going down on him. She’s loud about it and Billy doesn’t admit that it turns him on. Billy thinks it must turn you on too because you start grinding your hips against his. Plus, he figures Reggie and Cindy won’t care much if they started it in the first place. Billy always feels a bit strange about the lack of boundaries, the fact that the four of you mess around in front of each other. Figures that you all get it when you can and it’s not often you guys are secluded enough to pull it off.
Billy grabs your hair to pull you away, moving his hands to undo his belt and you get the hint, lifting yourself up just enough to get your underwear off and Billy’s jeans and briefs down to his knees. You hold your skirt up, looking down at his pulsing erection settled against his stomach. He wraps his fingers around the base and spits onto his other hand, smearing it all over the head before lining it up with your entrance. You gasp when you feel him prodding, eyebrows knit together in desperation and Billy loves that. Feels like he’s done something good to make you want him so badly. You slowly lower yourself until he bottoms out and Billy grunts softly, pressing his palms to yours and lacing your fingers. It’s sweet, makes your whole body fill with adoration for him. His eyes are barely open, eyelids looking heavy while his mouth hangs open just enough for you to see his tongue pressing to his bottom lip. A roll of your hips and his tongue rolls against his bottom lip, a lewd moan tumbling out of him that has your toes curling in your shoes. Through all the bullshit he seems to drag you through, you wouldn’t ever give this up. He gets you fired up like no one else could. Billy’s a literal wet dream come to life and you have the fucking privilege of being with him. The slight curve of his cock is practically designed to fit you perfectly, hooking just right to nail that wonderful, spongy part inside of you. But you think you could cum just from looking at him, sometimes. Or hearing his voice.
You bend down to whisper in his ear, “You feel so good.”
He lets go of your hands to wrap his arms around your middle, pulling your bodies flush as he groans breathy against your ear. You press gentle kisses along his jaw, bouncing in his lap over and over. He snakes his hands up your shirt and scratches down your back, arching his own which only buries him deeper inside of you. Deep enough he hits your cervix and you yelp. Billy chuckles softly before easing up, his hands steadying at your hips.
“M’sorry,” he mumbles against the shell of your ear.
“It’s okay,” you reply softly, pulling back to look down at his face. He looks fucked out, totally blissful and all the stress and worry usually living there is gone. It makes your insides turn. You’d give absolutely anything to do that for him all the time. He starts thrusting his hips up at you, his hands holding your hips still so he can take control. He does it whenever he’s close and you’re almost there too so you keep staring down at his face, trying to commit it to memory like you haven’t seen it a hundred times, like you don’t see his face whenever you close your eyes.
Billy’s eyes open slowly and he maintains eye contact with you, his mouth open while pants and soft moans flood out of it. Just the look and sound of him is enough and your orgasm comes crashing through you.
“Billy,” you gasp, thighs shaking against his hips while you involuntarily hump against him.
He smiles then, all lips and no teeth but looking satisfied. You don’t get the opportunity to completely ride through it, he pulls out of you and you’re quick to move down and take his cock in your mouth, eyes wide as you look up at him. He gives a pathetic thrust and clenches his teeth, squeezing his eyes closed as he shoots his load into your mouth. You swallow and pull back, licking up the last of it that dribbles out of his slit. He whimpers and it sends another wave of arousal to your center.
With a sigh, he pulls his pants back on and hands you your discarded panties. You awkwardly pull them back on and reach your hand out to help your boyfriend back up. Billy kisses you softly before wandering over to the sixer and pulling another beer from it. He stands taller now, relaxed and you’re relieved you can help him in some way. Even if it seems like only sex.
Billy and Reggie share a look before the two of them burst out into giggles, Cindy rolls her eyes but immediately shoots you a pleased look. She enjoys it and so do you. Billy makes his way back to the edge of the rooftop, sitting down and lighting up a cigarette. He keeps peering over and it’s making you nervous. You don’t know what he’s thinking but sometimes you worry Billy imagines jumping off. What you don’t expect is to hear the sound of him hawking up a loogie.
“Billy,” you warn, standing up.
Reggie’s standing up with you but with excitement as he stumbles over and peers down with Billy.
Billy spits down and you hear a man from below shouting.
“Billy! Fucking hell,” you scold but your boyfriend is in a laughing fit, holding his gut as the careless sound rips through him.
Absent.
“I’m gonna beat your fucking face in!” the guy from the street shouts up at him.
“I’d like to see you try!” Billy replies.
“Then get your ass down here!”
Billy’s up to his feet, the excitement of violence bubbling through him as he makes his way to the fire escape. He ignores the protests from you and his friends, though the three of you follow him down. Billy chugs the rest of his beer once he’s on the ground, tossing the empty can and puffing his chest up as he stalks over to the guy.
Billy’s in shape, he spends a lot of time lifting weights but that’s not what makes him dangerous. It’s the fact that he doesn’t really give a shit and all the pent up anger from the abuse he faces. The guy he nailed with his phlegm is bigger but Billy doesn’t seem scared. He yells out, fists clenched tight at his sides as they meet face to face. Billy’s grinning wide, he always looks so happy when he’s about to get in a fight. It fucking worries you.
The guy swings first but Billy dodges it and then his fist is connecting with the dudes jaw with a horrific pop. The guy reels, like he wasn’t expecting so much power behind a teenagers fist. He stumbles but is back quick, socking Billy in the face and you wince, knowing that he’ll have one helluva shiner.
Billy laughs, “Is that all you got, fucker?”
Another punch and the guys on the ground but Billy’s on him in an instant, delivering blow after blow to the guys face before Reggie’s pulling him off.
“Fuck!” he screams out, eyes lit up with something that terrifies you. He enjoys this too much. You reach for his wrist and pull, dragging him along as the four of you run down the block. The dudes knocked out but his friends chase after you guys. They’re not fast enough and you lose them after cutting through an alley and ending up in a deserted plot of land. It’s mostly dirt but the occasional construction debris. There used to be a motel here but it’s got plans to become yet another parking lot. Billy screams out again, cheeks split with a devious smile.
“Why the fuck did you do that?” you yell at him, pushing against his chest. He turns to you with that eerie smile and you notice his nose is bleeding.
“That was fucking rad, darling,” he gushes, “I totally knocked his fucking lights out!”
“It wasn’t rad!” you argue, “God damn you’re such a fucking child sometimes!”
Billy laughs, but it’s laced with venom, “And you’re fucking boring.”
The word hits you hard, breaking your heart in an instant. You sniffle, pissed off with yourself that you’re crying so easily. Billy could be mean, to everyone around him. You knew that when you started dating. But it still hurts. You wanted to be an exception to that, but you realize how foolish that was.
“You’re fucking crying?” he scoffs, “Jesus Christ.”
You turn on your heel and start walking, Cindy me Reggie are quick to follow you but when you’re a block away and you turn back, Billy’s not following you. He’s wandered in the other direction.
///.
Billy finds the spare key under the mat and tries his absolute best to keep quiet as he unlocks the door. Susan should’ve got his dad to bed by this hour but he doesn’t want to risk it. He slowly opens the door, stepping inside and unzipping his boots before taking them off and leaving them by the door. He peers into the living room. Shit. Neil isn’t in bed. It’s nearly two a.m., he and Susan must’ve had an argument. Billy closes the door as quietly as he can before turning the deadbolt. He tiptoes to his room, turning the knob cautiously. Once he’s inside, he flicks the light on and starts to undress. He opens his closet and grabs out a pair of grey sweats to change into. As he’s changing, he looks into the mirror, seeing the dried blood under his nose and the beginnings of a gnarly bruise under both eyes. He presses his thumb to the bridge of his nose and hisses. It’s not broken but fuck, it hurts. He sighs. He needs to clean it up. Billy desperately needs a shower but it’s too late. He’d definitely wake his dad.
Carefully, he sneaks out of his room and into the hallway bathroom. He flicks the light on and gets a better look at his face. Billy barely recognizes himself. It’s a problem he’s been having for years. He knows that’s his face staring back at him but he can’t help but feeling like he doesn’t know his reflection. Like the icy blue eyes staring back at him belong to a stranger. He quietly cleans the blood from under his nose but when he opens the medicine cabinet to grab his toothbrush, a slew of pill bottles and soaps fall out of it and land into the sink with a loud clatter. Max had probably haphazardly shoved her things inside. Billy closes his eyes and shuts off the light, steadying his breathing and tries to hear for a sign that he’s woken his father up.
Footsteps, loud ones clamber up the hallway and Billy braces himself. He hates this house, there’s no lock on the bathroom. There’s no locks on any doors besides the master bedroom. The door swings open and the light is switched on. Billy’s met with the angry face of his father.
“What in gods name are you doing at this hour?” Neil asks, tone cloaked in outrage. “Did you just get home?”
“No sir,” Billy replies, voice cracking.
Neil surveys his face, “You reek of pot, boy.”
Billy doesn’t respond to that, just stares blankly at his domineering father. There’s no point. He definitely smells like weed and no matter what he’d say, the next row of actions is a guarantee. Neil shoves him into the towel rack, the edge of it nicks Billy’s bare back and he can feel the blood drip down. He keeps still, looking stoically up at his dad. Neil backhands him, Billy’s face turns with the force of it and Neil grabs his throat, shoving him harder into the rack which just scraps Billy’s back up more.
“You have no regard for anyone but yourself. We’ve talked about this, huh? Respect and responsibility. Simple shit, but you’re too fucking stupid or selfish to learn,” Neil hisses.
His fathers grip tightens just enough where Billy struggles to breath but he knows his dad’s too pussy to actually kill him. He chokes out a sob, can’t help himself even if he knows it’ll only piss Neil off more. Another smack to the face, another shove into the rack and Neil knees him in the stomach.
“You’re crying? You goddamn pussy. Man up!”
From the ground, Billy seethes. He knows this will seal his fate and he’ll be forced into makeshift solitary confinement but he doesn’t give a fuck. He’s overflowing with hatred for the man towering over him.
“Fuck you,” he says behind clenched teeth.
Neil kicks him once more before grabbing a fistful of Billy’s curls and pulling him back to his feet. His dad looks him square in the face before head butting him. The sharp jolt of pain rings through him, his eyebrow feels hot and then Billy feels blood before he sees it when it drips into his eye. Neil drags him by his hair, through the hall and kicks Billy’s door open, the wood slamming into the plaster of the wall and no doubt leaving a hole from the doorknob. He shoves his son into the room.
“You’re goddamn worthless. I give and give but you refuse to fucking be respectful. You’re grounded, I’ll let you out when I can look at you again. Goddamn faggot,” he spits and slams the door back closed, Billy can hear as he fastens the chain lock he’s drilled into the outside of Billy’s door.
Billy holds his sobs, reaching for whatever material is closest to him on the floor and holds the dirty t-shirt to the split in his eyebrow. He falls asleep on the floor like that.
When he wakes up, the t-shirt has fused to his face with the dried blood and he’s reminded of the beating as he peels it off. Except it opens the wound back up and he groans, pressing a clean part of the shirt back to it. His heads pounding, his whole body aches. As he stands up to look in the mirror, he sees the bruising taking place on his stomach and ribs. His face is bruised but not from his dad. He’s too scared to look at his eyebrow, the pulsing pain and blood tells him he definitely needs stitches and he’ll be ending up with a gnarly scar instead. He peers out of his window to see Neil’s truck and Susan’s station wagon aren’t in the driveway but he can hear someone’s out in the living room. His throat burns and his mouth feels like it’s got cotton in it. Glancing around the room, he sees he’s got no water stashed away. Max.
Billy sighs, trudging over to the door and opening it as much as the chain lock will allow.
“Max,” he calls out, voice hoarse and fucking pathetic but his step sister is quick to run down the hall. Billy can see her red hair flying before he can see her blue eyes looking up at him. “Water, can you get me some water?”
She nods and disappears. Billy lays on his bed, closing his eyes while he waits. He hears the stool slam against the floor and he sits up, waiting for Max to climb up it so she can reach the lock. Once she does, she scoots the stool again and opens the door. She hands him the tall glass of water and he gulps it down in record time. He extends it out to her, “More?”
Max nods but she takes longer to return this time. Billy sees why when she’s holding the first aid kid they store under the bathroom sink. Billy gives her a half-hearted smile, she can be a little shit but she does care. It makes Billy feel weird, his initial instinct is to push her away and say he’s fine but he doesn’t. He lets her set the first aid kit on his bed and open it, she pulls out the peroxide and grabs the shirt from his face. She bunches it up against his eye and pours the peroxide on the wound on his eyebrow. It tingles but the sting is dull. She pats it dry before digging through the box for butterfly bandages. They stay silent as she dresses the wound. She’s a smart little fucker, Billy hadn’t even thought about asking for the first aid kit. She stands back and puts her finger against her chin, checking over her work before nodding to herself.
“Quick,” she says, “Use the bathroom before they get home.”
Billy nods, he hadn’t thought of that either. He stands and puts his hand on the top of her head, rustling her hair up. “Thanks, kiddo,” he mumbles before trudging into the bathroom.
As he steps inside, the events from last night flash around in his head but he pushes them away. He lifts the lid on the toilet and relieves himself. When he’s washing his hands he gets a good look at his reflection in the fluorescent lighting. He looks like shit. He aches for a shower but that’s too risky plus he’s not looking forward to the cuts on his back stinging from the water. He dries his hands and makes his way back to his room, where Max is waiting outside the door. Once he’s inside, he can hear her fastening the lock back up and jumping off the stool. Billy decides to tidy his room while he’s stuck in here, pressing play on his stereo so he can drown his thoughts in heavy guitar riffs and Vince Niel’s voice. After his rooms all clean, he shuts off the stereo and looks for a book to read to pass the time. He has no idea how long he’ll be trapped in here. Sometimes it’s a day, sometimes it’s a week.
///.
You haven’t heard from Billy in two days. It’s been two days since your little fight in the field and you’re getting worried. Billy was pretty adamant about you not coming over unannounced but the landline has been giving you nothing but a busy tone every time you try to call. You’re out of options and that’s why you take the bus out into the suburb and walk to his place. Neil’s truck is outside, along with his stepmoms car but you’re determined to check on him.
The wood of the door is warm on your knuckles as you scrap against it. Thankfully, Susan answers the door but her face falls and he looks back into the house before meeting your eyes.
“Billy’s not here,” she says.
“Where is he? I haven’t heard from him in a couple of days,” you reply, shoving your hands in your pockets.
“He’s out looking for a job,” it’s a lie. You can see it on her face. Susan’s a horrible liar, just like Max is.
You chew on your bottom lip before trying your luck, “Bummer. He must be mad at me still. Could I use your bathroom? Long bus ride out here.”
Susan heaves a sigh before stepping back and letting you inside, “Be quick.”
“Course,” you say and start making the descent down the hall.
“He’s not here!” Neil yells after you which causes you to stop, the sound of his voice always makes your skin crawl.
“I know, just using the bathroom,” you reply, eyes turning to Billy’s bedroom door in the hallway. The chain lock is fastened and your heart sinks into your stomach. You know Billy’s been trapped in there for days. He’s never told you this happens to him but when you’d noticed the lock, you connected the dots.
You lock yourself in the bathroom, staring at yourself in the mirror as you try to somehow telepathically communicate with your boyfriend. You so desperately want to call CPS on Neil but the first time Billy admitted his dad hit him, he made you promise and swear that you wouldn’t. Billy assured you he could handle it, that he didn’t want to be stuck in the foster system. I only have 5 more years, you remember him telling you. With a sigh, you finally sit down on the toilet and relieve yourself. It was a long bus ride. After washing your hands, you make your escape.
“Nice to see you, Mr. Hargrove,” you call out to Neil, hoping Billy can hear you and know you’re here.
“Whatever,” Neil mumbles with a wave of his hand.
///.
Once it’s midnight, you figure it’s safe and you stalk over to the window with the black grocery bag tucked tight against your side. The windows have bars on them, you’ve overheard Susan calling them decorative but they’re definitely a safety precaution, to ward off potential burglars. You can’t help but think about the way they make Billy’s room just that much more of a prison. God, if you could save him from this shit you would. This is the least you could do.
The bars are far enough apart that you can reach your arm through it. You quietly knock against it and step back to wait for your boyfriend to appear behind the sheet he uses as a curtain.
Billy snakes himself between the sheet and the window, his eyebrow is slit open and there’s some gnarly bruising under his eyes. You give him a sympathetic smile, lifting the plastic bag. Billy opens the window slowly, careful not to make too much noise.
“Hey, little lady,” he purrs, laying the charm on thick even though he’s a goddamn prisoner in his own fucking house. “What’re you doing here?”
You smile at him, you’ve found it’s best if you act like everything’s normal, “Wanted to give you some goodies and see your face. I miss you.”
“I miss you,” he reaches out and pokes your nose. “Whatcha get me?”
Peeking into the bag, you pull out the Mickey’s 40 you’d purchased and hand it over. Billy moans at the can, grinning from ear to ear. Next you hand him a pack of Marlboro Reds and he gives you another moan.
“Fuck, I could marry you,” he takes the pack and rips it open, lighting a smoke immediately.
You bite your lip, “Do it.”
He chuckles, leaning his forehead against the metal bars, “Maybe one day I will. Then you’ll really be sorry.”
You giggle softly and pull out a pack of sour candies for him. He places them down on his floor and smiles at you, “Think we could manage a kiss through these?” his fingers tapping against the bars.
“We could try,” you suggest, stepping closer and smiling up at him.
You manage to touch your lips to his but it’s wildly uncomfortable and you both strain your lips to do it. Billy sits on the sill and reaches his hand out to hold yours.
“Sorry about the other night… I was being a dickhead but hey,” he motions to his face, “got my punishment for it.”
“Billy,” you squeeze his hand, “You didn’t deserve that. You never do… I don’t even care about the dumb fight we had.”
He shrugs but moves his hand to your chin, stroking his thumb against it, “It’s nothing new. I shouldn’t have come home that night but ya know, I didn’t know where else to go.”
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have ran off like that…”
“It’s cool, I’ll probably get a sick ass scar from this one,” he points to his eyebrow.
You shake your head but smile at him.
“You really gave it to my old man today,” he grins.
You cackle, “Did I?”
“Oh, yeah! I think the kindness kills him more than if you were to ignore him. How’d you get into the house, though?” he takes a long drag from his smoke before handing it over.
You take it and smile, “I told Susan I had to pee.”
“Oh!” his eyes widen and he disappears behind the sheet again, only to reappear with a Gatorade bottle full of what you can only assume is piss. “I know it’s gross but could you uh, dump this for me?”
You take it from him carefully and hand him back the cigarette, “Why don’t you just piss out the window, Billy?”
“In broad daylight? I can’t,” he says, sounding ashamed as you unscrew the cap and dump the bottle out into the bushes next to you. You screw the lid back on and hand it back through the bars.
“I fucking hate your dad,” you mumble.
“You and me both, babe,” he goes back behind the curtain to put the bottle back. When he returns, he’s got a folded up piece of paper and he passes it to you. “I drew ya something, don’t look at it until you’re far away from me.”
You giggle and slide it into your back pocket, “Can we try another one of those kisses?”
Billy chuckles, nods and you guys attempt it again. When he pulls back, he wiggles his eyebrows, “You could probably suck my dick through here.”
“You wanna attempt that but you won’t pee out the window,” you raise an eyebrow but smile back at him. “I’m not gonna blow you through your window. Nice try though.”
Billy laughs and pokes your nose, “I better get to bed. I’m sure I’ll be released soon enough and I can maybe take you out or something.”
“That sounds nice,” you smile warmly at him.
“A thank you for the necessities,” he holds up the beer and pack of smokes.
I’d do anything for you, you want to say but it dies in your throat. Billy doesn’t really get mushy with you so you’ve been scared to tell him just how infatuated with him you are. Sometimes he’s like a skittish dog and you feel you haven’t completely earned his trust yet.
“Stay safe, Billy.”
“Eh, that’s no fun. See ya later, little lady,” he smirks with the pet name before closing his window.
As you begin your journey down the street, you remember the paper folded up in your pocket and you quickly pull it out. Unfolding it, you see lines but you’re confused. Once it’s completely unfolded you see a crude drawing of a penis. Actually, it looks like Billy’s laid his dick on the paper and traced around it. It’s the most ridiculous and hilarious thing you’ve ever seen and you can’t help the roar of giggles erupting from your chest. The image of him so utterly bored while he’s locked away and getting the idea to trace his hard dick against the paper is the funniest thing in the world to you. God, you adore him.
you need to calm down; billy loomis.
Tumblr media
track fourteen of LOVER
pairing: billy loomis x f!reader
synopsis: your soulmate is physically unable to hurt you
words: 2.6k
From what you’ve seen, Woodsboro seems to be a nice enough town. Sure a maniac in a ghost mask running around occasionally killing people is not great, but after living in New York for most of your life you can almost move past that. There’s plenty of weird killers with their own little thing in America, you’re just getting to experience how they do it on the west coast instead of the east coast like you’re used to. A move across the country was extreme, but you’re not gonna question your mother’s way of dealing with her divorce and a fresh start feels like the best move for all of you. As long as you keep your head down and try to get through your senior year, you shouldn’t be staying in Woodsboro for too long anyway. College is calling your name and you’ll be damned if you let the opportunity slip by you because of a cross-country move.
Your number one rule when you started your new school was that you were going to do your level best to avoid potentially meeting your soulmate there. The last thing you needed was something like that distracting you from getting out of the sleepy Californian town you were temporarily calling home, so it stood to reason that if you avoided making friends or speaking to any of your classmates then there was no chance you’d stumble onto that kind of revelation.
That wasn’t as easy as you’d hoped it would be. Maybe it was just small town charm but the girl who’d been assigned to show you around the school had been determined to stop you from being the wallflower you so desperately wanted to be. Casey was lovely, but her attempts to incorporate you into her friend group were starting to wear thin and something about her boyfriend rubbed you the wrong way. They all seemed friendly enough, but sometimes you’d catch Stu or his friend Billy looking at you across the cafeteria or when you’re walking to class and it always felt somewhat unsettling. You’d sent the appropriate awkward smile their way but they never returned it and the whole interaction just left you feeling uncomfortable.
Aside from your somewhat creepy classmates, you’d say you were settling into Woodsboro nicely. Your grades hadn’t slipped during the switch, your mother was settling into her new job and part of you was enjoying the benefit of having a house rather than an apartment. It was nice to have a private garden to enjoy the late summer weather rather than having to go somewhere public for it.
When your mother had said she was going to be at work all night when you’d return home from school and that you’d have the house to yourself, you’d been thrilled. You’d stopped by Blockbuster on your way home from school to rent Clueless, picked up some popcorn, and you were all set to spend the night doing homework in front of the tv by yourself. You’d finished the movie and had started to have a quick nap when the ring of your house phone had jolted you from your sleep. The nap had left you disoriented and you’d been slower than usual in your journey to grab the phone and it was just before you reached it that the ringing abruptly stopped.
A frustrated groan bubbled in your throat at the wasted energy, though you couldn’t help but be slightly anxious that it had been your mother calling and now you’d be getting into a fight with her when she finished her shift at the hospital for making her worry. You sighed before grabbing the phone and heading back to the couch, your good mood fizzling. You grabbed the biology textbook you’d been using for homework off the couch and decided to make your way upstairs, double checking the lock on the front door before you did. After hearing about the double murder a few days ago, you couldn’t be too careful about making sure you didn’t make yourself an easy target.
You fell back onto your bed easily enough, tossing the phone onto the desk next to your bed. Hopefully if it was your mother that called she’d just assume you’d already gone to sleep.
You’d just started to drift off to sleep again when the phone rings again. This time you can’t help but curse aloud at the terrible timing before reaching over and grabbing the device.
“Hello?” You wait for a moment for a response but when nothing comes you feel a prick of anxiety bubbling inside you. “Mom, is that you?” There’s silence for another few beats and you’re on the verge of hanging up on whoever’s on the other side when they finally decide to speak up.
“No it’s not your mother.”
“Who the hell is it then?”
“Well that’s not very polite, is it?” The snide remark catches you off guard, and you falter slightly at how aggressive the voice turned.
“Who is this?”
“Are you home alone right now?”
“If this is a prank call, it isn’t funny.” You move the phone away from your head and you were just about to hang up when the voice speaks again.
“If you hang up, your bitch mother is going to die.” The threat makes you freeze, and your finger hovers over the end call button but you can’t bring yourself to press it.
“Who the fuck is this?”
“Don’t you know that no one ever answers that question? The fun would be over too soon if I did.”
“What do you want?”
“You’ll see.” Before you can respond, the person on the other end hangs up on you. As the dial tone filled your eyes, you couldn’t help but feel somewhat on edge about the whole situation. The rumours going around your school were that the two students who had been killed a few days earlier had received some creepy phone calls in the days leading up to their murders and, whilst you don’t know if that’s completely true, the mystery voice on the end of the phone had done nothing to put you at ease. You tried to settle back down and get some sleep until your mother got home but sleep now seemed to be avoiding you.
You’d just managed to settle yourself down enough to relax when you thought you heard something downstairs. Part of you wanted to chalk it up to your nerves over the phone call but you couldn’t put off the idea that it sounded like heavy footsteps. You sat up once more, and made your way over to your bedroom door. You rested an ear against it, and when you were met with silence you couldn’t help but feel like you’re just being paranoid at that point. You closed your eyes and sighed, resting your head fully against the door. That was when you heard the creak of one of the stairs and your eyes shot wide open. The third one always creaked if you stood in the centre of it, your mom had mentioned fixing it when you were settled and just hadn’t gotten around to it, and the two of you were the only ones that had been in the house since you’d moved. That meant someone was in the house and it wasn’t your mother. You backed away slowly from the door, eyes darting around the room to look for anything you could potentially use as a weapon. Your eyes finally landed on a pair of scissors on your desk, and you grabbed them along with the landline. You lowered yourself to the ground, dialling 911 quickly. When the steady dial tone met your ears you cursed, whoever it was had cut the fucking phone line. You heard the footsteps make it to the top of the stairwell, coming to a top somewhere on the hallway.
“Come out, come out, wherever you are.” The synthetic voice made you jump, especially since it sounded so close to your bedroom door. The idea that they know there’s someone home scares you even more, and your mind immediately jumps to the double murder that happened a few days prior. You’ve only been here for two months, how the fuck have you managed to land on a serial killer’s radar in two months?
A kick on your bedroom door yanks you out of your thoughts, and you let out a quiet yelp. You immediately move to cover your mouth, praying to any god that will listen to you that whoever’s outside your door didn’t hear you. You thought you heard the steps moving further down the hallway, and you thought you might have been in the clear, but when another kick lands on your door, you know they heard you. You scramble to your feet, lifting the scissors into a defensive position, and try to calm yourself enough that if you go down, you’ll be damned if you don’t go down without a fight.
A final, well aimed kick at your door sends it swinging into your room, and you finally get to see the person that’s broken into your house. The white mask is in stark contrast to the full body black robe that they’re decked in, but it does a very good job of unsettling you. They step into the room, their head lowering slightly as they take in the sight of you holding the scissors. They look back up, their head tilting slightly.
“There you are. I was afraid you’d left before the party started.” They step towards you, and you take a step back. This continues for a few more steps until you feel the edge of your desk pressing into your back. When you take the final step back, the edge of the desk now flush against your back, it occurs to you that you might never leave this room again. When the masked figure took another step forward, finally beginning to close the gap between the two of you, you grip the scissors even tighter, feeling like you’ve brought a knife to a gun fight.
“Stay back or I’ll scream!” The figure tilts their head to the side slightly in a mocking imitation of confusion before shrugging and walking towards you. You lift the scissors and try to stab them into your assailant’s shoulder but they’re quick to grab your arms and soon enough the scissors are pulled from your grip and thrown across the room. It’s clear they're ready for a fight and it doesn’t take long for you to be forced to the ground, a hand over your mouth to muffle your desperate attempts at calling for help. It’s when they pull a knife out and wave it tauntingly in front of your face that you start crying. It only makes them laugh as they move it closer and closer to you.
You wait for the feeling of the knife pressing against your neck, eyes closing involuntarily, but to your surprise the sensation never comes. You can feel how close it is to your neck but the pressure of it digging into your skin never comes. Your eyes flutter open and you can see the knife in your peripheral vision, and it looks like your assailant is trying to move it closer to you but doesn’t seem to be doing so. You can't help the confusion on your face, and you get the impression that they’re not just taunting you this time for some reason.
“What the fuck?” The momentary confusion of the man above you gives you time to catch him off guard and you finally push him backwards and onto the floor, knocking him off you for long enough that you pull yourself away from him and stagger to your feet. The adrenaline continues to course through your body as you force yourself to head for the stairs. You turned the final corner at the bottom of the stairs, beelining for the door, when a pair of arms appeared around you from nowhere. A scream slipped out of your mouth in surprise, but it quickly ended when you felt the edge of a knife pressed against the base of your neck.
“You open your mouth again and I’ll gut you from groin to sternum.” As you feel the knife start to dig further into the flesh of your neck, you can’t help but let out a pained whine, not daring to move lest the masked figure decide he’s had enough of just toying with you. You can vaguely hear heavy footsteps upstairs over the beating of your heart that’s pounding in your ears but it’s hard to focus on anything when you can feel the pressure of the knife and what feels like blood dripping down your neck.
“Stu, stop!” The figure you’d pushed off yourself upstairs finally stumbled towards the two of you, and it takes your brain a moment to process what he said. Woodsboro’s a small town, and there’s only one person you’ve met with that name. The man holding you recoils from the use of his name and takes the knife away from your neck to point it at his accomplice.
“What the fuck Billy?” Oh fuck. Your creepy classmates are the people slaughtering people? You’re trying to come to terms with the fact they’re definitely going to kill you now they’ve revealed who they are to you when Billy speaks again and what he says makes the world stop spinning for one reason and makes it shift on its axis for another.
“I can’t hurt her dickwad!” The man holding you seems to jolt at that, though his grip doesn’t loosen around you. You react in a similar fashion, looking up at the masked figure on the stairs with what you can only describe as growing horror. The man holding you seems to falter and when he speaks, it’s less certain than what it was when he was threatening you.
“Are you sure?”
“Positive.” The arm around your body retracts as if he’d been burned, and with no support you feel yourself falling to the ground, unable to hold yourself up after all the adrenaline that had been rushing through you seems to have evaporated instantly at the revelation that your soulmate tried to kill you. You let out a whine at the pain that comes from your knees whilst the two men stand in silence, seemingly just staring at each other. The one behind you speaks first.
“What do we do?”
“I’m not sure. We can’t kill her.”
“But if she knows?”
“She’s not gonna snitch on us, are you honey?” Both heads finally turn to face you as the atmosphere immediately becomes terse. The pet name coming from the filtered voice makes you flinch but you shake your head.
“If she does…” The threat goes unfinished but the figure on the stairs jolts into action at it, shoving the man standing behind you into the wall at the bottom of your stairwell.
“Lay off dickhead!”
“Ow! Billy! What the fuck man?” Your soulmate finally pulls off the ghost face mask, revealing a face filled with malice as he presses Stu harder into the wall. The taller man protests louder, also pulling off his mask.
“I’ll handle it. Now get out of here.” The unspoken threat hung in the air as Stu grumbled to himself, pulling the Ghostface costume over his head and making his way to the back door. Both you and Billy watch him until the back door slams shut, and the two of you are finally alone.
He finally turns to face you, and the grin he sends your way is scarier than any expression he’d aimed at Stu. “So soulmate, we have a lot of catching up to do.”
People have always been afraid of Eddie on a very superficial level. He got good at talking his way out of situations, out of fights that he no doubt would have lost. But talking only takes you so far. At one point or another, someone's not going to care about whatever it is that he has to say, and they're gonna start swinging.
That's where the scary dog privileges come in.
He hasn't dealt with Jason Carver or any of the other asshole jocks in months. Turns out, not even the Hawkins Boy's Basketball Team wants to test their luck against Billy Hargrove.
Billy, with his mean, obnoxious car and bad attitude, has warded bullies away from Eddie like garlic to vampires.
And all Eddie has to do is... hang around the guy.
It's not so bad. They're neighbors in the trailer park, so anytime one of them doesn't wanna skulk around the house, they bum around the other's place. Sometimes they lie down in the jungle gym in the center of the park and smoke some of Eddie's better supply until it's dark out.
Eddie was surprised at first when he started being invited to parties. Not just any parties, the good ones. The ones that had better alcohol and less people. The ones that required an actual invitation.
Sure, he was always Billy's plus one, but still. He was hanging around the "it" crowd and it was strange, to say the least.
To be privy to the hot gossip that stayed in the upper circles of the high school hierarchy.
Not that he really gave a shit about that.
He was in it for the free booze and the shenanigans — the times that Tommy H. would dare Steve to hop his neighbor's fence and steal garden gnomes out of their yard, or when Billy would fall out of a tree that he drunkenly climbed because he was laughing too hard. The fun stuff.
Eddie eventually started realizing that he really enjoyed Billy's company. Like, really enjoyed it. He'd get excited when he'd hear a tap on his window in the dead of night, knowing that he was being beckoned out for a night of fun.
Sometimes it just stayed the two of them. Eddie would buy a six pack and they'd go somewhere private — maybe park out by the quarry and sit in the back of his van while they listened to metal and talked and drank. And then... well, it took a while to get the blond to open up, but he started to speak of things outside of Tommy Hagan's parties and babes from California.
He talked of his mom. Of his little sister, who Eddie had seen him get into screaming matches with fairly often, and how much he tried to be a better person for her. For them both.
It was unspeakably soft.
Eddie, at some point, lost touch with the part of himself that feared Billy. How could he not? He looks at the guy and all he can think about is how softly he speaks when he's comfortable. How easy and laidback he is during the late hours of the night when he fights sleep just to keep the conversation going.
So, yeah, now Eddie gets met with weird looks in the hallways at school when he invades Billy's personal space. Jumps on his back and shoves him around playfully, even ropes an arm around his neck when they walk and talk together.
Completely openly unafraid.
Tommy tried to test the waters one afternoon during lunch. Reached an arm around Billy’s shoulders and patted his chest while he was making some point that didn't matter, and Billy twisted his wrist. Made him whimper and pull away with a confused look on his face.
And, god, was Eddie absolutely thrilled when he found out that he was the only person allowed that close. The only person who could do it without being snapped at.
It eventually stopped being enigmatic and became more of an expectation. If you saw Billy out and about, Eddie wasn't far behind.
"Hey, sorry I’m late," Eddie says.
He slings his arms around Billy's neck from behind. Presses up against him and tilts their heads together.
"Hey." Billy takes a drag from the cigarette perched between his fingers. "Where've you been? People have been asking me where my boyfriend is."
Eddie snickers at that.
"Sorry. Got held up helping Wayne around the house."
"'S okay. You haven't missed much."
He glances around the basement, spies Steve and Tommy bent over the billiard table with intense focus in their eyes, and Chrissy chatting with Heather and a few other ladies in the corner. It's practically all cheerleaders and jocks milling around. More like a work function and less like a high school party.
Eddie prefers the smaller hangouts with just the main group, but he's not complaining. Free beer and free food are some of his favorite things. Even if he’s not getting to help Steve and Tommy steal Principal Higgins’ car or something right now.
"God, Munson, not even here for five minutes and you're already spooning up to Hargrove," Jason says and earns a few laughs. "Why don't you just get it over with and rent a room out at the Motel 6?"
Billy tenses up, but doesn't move away. So Eddie does all he can think to do.
Makes a scene.
He smirks and slides his hands down to Billy's waist to grab at his hips. Hooks his chin over his shoulder and grinds against him, humming delightedly when Jason's face turns white.
"Jealous, Carver? If you want us gone so bad, you could go ahead and pay for our room," he lilts. Turns inwards towards Billy's neck and noses fondly at his skin. "Hell, you could probably join us. Whatcha say, baby, you wanna have a little fun with the basketball captain?”
He coos the last part into Billy's ear sensually. Smooths one of his hands up the expanse of his abdomen, fingers spread, and grinds against his back again.
Everyone's looking. Jason has gone from ghost white to burning red, and Eddie's not sure if he's flustered or if he's angry.
The best part of it all is that Billy doesn't pull away.
"No offense, but I'd rather fuck a tree stump," Billy says.
His tone is flat. Unamused. Like he's above this whole conversation entirely. Eddie juts his bottom lip out in a pout.
"Sorry, Jason. Baby says no."
The room erupts in chuckles, and Jason clears his throat. Turns his attention back to his drink.
Billy takes another puff from his cigarette, tilting his head back against Eddie's shoulder as the smoke fills his lungs. Still unfazed by Eddie's closeness.
"You want a drink, baby?" Billy teases.
He turns to Eddie. Exhales the smoke like fire into his face. The brunet just grins.
"We getting drunk tonight?"
"Mhm."
"Cool."
CARRIE WHITE
She puts it behind her, acts like it never happened.
You were quite popular at Carries school
You had a blog and everything
Among your followers was Carrie
She uses the library computers and even bought one for her use only
We can say she had a crush on you
A BIG one at that
She could see why you were popular at her school
You were kind, smart, pretty/handsome, but sometimes a bit...off?
You would disappear at times and take very long
You got jittery when someone asked where you were and what were you doing
But you quickly put on this 'nice' persona to throw the person off
Huh, weird.
Anyways
Another reason Carrie liked you was because you had helped her out many times
Whenever Chris would try and harass her, you'd stop Chris and defend Carrie
"Oh, c'mon. [Name!], why are you sticking up for shitty Carrie?"
"Because she never did anything to you or anyone else. Shes innocent, so leave her alone before I get Ms. Collins on your ass again, Chris."
cue angry chrissy
You were perfect in her eyes
Sometimes you two would hang out!
And she'd trust you enough to tell you about what her mom does
You obvi saw it as abuse, but you didn't say anything
When you asked her to the prom, she was thrilled
But Chris was so ever pissed
She just broke up with Billy to go to the prom with you, and you're going to the prom with CARRIE WHITE instead of her?!?!
So now she had to go back to Billy, and make a goddamn fool of herself by begging for him to come back!
She planned revenge, and how was she going to get revenge? Well, she planned to take your popularity away by making her more popular than you
You notice she started a blog and started copying trends and things you were doing
She started getting more followers, and thats when you realized what she was trying to do
You were absolutely mad!
Who did this dumb, whore think she is?!
You had to take care of this, and fast.
You invited Chris to coffee the next day and she complied
Carrie was at the library and you gave her a spare key to your house, but that meant that you had enough time to go home and freshen up
Clean up your messy, bloody tracks before greeting your girlfriend
By the time you and Chris finished having coffee, you offered a walk around the nearest park
It was night
You both were walking on a small bridge, before she started choking and scratching at her neck
You had poisoned her
She grabbed the bridge railing and tears spilled from her eyes
That's when you bashed the side of her head with a log, splashing blood on your face, and making her fall face first into the running stream
You used your oversized sleeve to hold the log, dropping it too into the river
By the time you got home, Carrie was there
Which threw you off
She wasn't supposed to be home yet
"Oh, [Name ]"
...
"Oh, my god. What happened to you?!"
"Uhm "
"Are you okay? Who hurt you?!"
"Carrie, let me ex "
"Oh, my god. Oh, my god. We should go to the po "
"Carrie! I did it! I hurt someone..."
...
"W what...?"
“Chris, it was Chris.”
"The girl who...bothers me...?"
"Yes, and she, uhm, she did some things that got me really mad so i...had to..."
Carrie felt sick
Well, one half of her did. The other felt quite...relieved, for some reason...
Carrie didnt talk to you for days
But when she did, she just wanted to put it all behind her
You agreed and became more careful with your murders
You two continued going to prom together, the prank on Carrie didnt happen because Billy was too devastated to continue on
Ater prom, you convinced Carrie that her mother was abusive and that she should go with you
She did.
After all, she does trust you.
JILL ROBERTS
She loves it! You're just like her. You're both soulmates!!
Fell inlove with you instantly
She first found your blog and became an admirer
She found out about your love of the stab movies and what happened in Woodsboro
What happened to her attention seeking cousin, Sideny Prescott...
This couldnt have been a coincidence, right?
Where you two...soulmates?
She loved seeing your post, and would fangirl over your outfits, what you were doing, etc...
She sent you many gifts
All labeled 'Secret admirer'
You thought it was really cute
Always making videos about the gifts she sent you
She was happy to see you liking her gifts
Especially the ghostface mask, plushies, knives, fake blood
She would dream about being ghostface partners with her
With her upcoming plans for Sidney returning back to Woodsboro
And surprisingly, you were also visiting Woodsboro
When she found out, she was absolutely estatic
Where did you live?
Oh, well, luckily you posted a video about showing your front house
She saw the address on the nearby sign that was still on your lawn.
One morning, she happened to stumble across your house
And thats how you met her
She expressed her love for you and your blog right away
"Im such a big fan!"
"You know, im the one who sent the knife, fake blood, not really fake..., ghost face mask, shirt, etc..."
"Oh, really?"
"Yea!"
You found her big liking, love, for you really cute.
So you invited her out to coffee and she was so excited
Practically bouncing off the ground
Kirby had never seen her so happy
You two practically hit off when you met on that coffee date
And you two ended up becoming close friends
Enough that she has caught you murdering one of your haters
But you never knew she knew that
She honestly found it hot
And thats when she brought her master plan to kill Sidney, make herself, and you, famous
You loved it, like she expected
The perfect ghost face duo.
MICHAEL MYERS
A bit annoyed, but mostly doesnt care
He finds it hot
Sex after you've killed
Wants to keep the blood on you if you got messy because BLOOD KINK
No excuses
We all know Micheal would not have a clue on who you are
But, while killing his victims, the computer was on
He managed to catch a glimpse of it and see your face on screen
Your video was playing
Your account was on display
We all know Micheal would not have a clue on who you are
But, while killing his victims, the computer was on
He managed to catch a glimpse of it and see your face on screen
Your video was playing
Your account was on display
He watched a few of your videos, before hearing police sirens
Yep. Victim material you are.
Yes, he wanted to kill you
So he started stalking you a lot
He noticed your habit of seeking out attention, more like fame, a lot
That got him curious about you
You still were gonna be his victim of course
Until...he caught you slaughtering this famous blogger
Damn.
He didnt expect that coming
He just watched you in silence as you stabbed that persons stomach over and over again
After that, he couldnt bring himself to kill you.
Dammit. Why?
He doesnt even know the answer to that himself
And for you, you've known hes been stalking you
So one day, while he was stalking you, you saw him in position and waved at him
While smiling
He just tilted his head in response
How amusing.
from there he realized what hed been feeling
Hes got a harmless crush on you, and lust
So while you were alone, vulnerable, he just happened to sneak into your house
You caught him standing there, head tilted, in your dark hallway
"Hello, Michael,"
You smiled sweetly at him.
JASON VOORHEES
He was annoyed at first, still is a bit
Why? Well, you posted about going to Camp Crystal Lake
So now there were a bunch of weirdos camping there, and trying to meet you 'out of the blue'
When you did get there, he stalked you for a bit
Why werent you going through any of his traps?
What the hell
I mean, he did want you to last a little longer because of how pretty/handsome you were
Maybe you werent so bad
He saw how you were gentle with nature, even though it was only to avoid his traps
When you visited the lake, the first thing you did was pray...for him.
You said you felt bad...felt bad when he drowned
"You didnt deserve that,"
...
Oh.
How...sweet.
You werent like the other people who had stepped on Camp Crystal Lake
(Not me feeling like a pick me from saying, 'You werent like the other people ')
(SORRY LMAOO)
Anyways, those people were disrespectful
Drinking, partying, fucking, doing drugs. In a place that belonged to Jason and was not for horny teenagers or adults
But you...you respected the camp and...him.
He didnt want to kill you anymore and just let you be
Though, you heard his foot stomp of the branch
Fuck.
"Whose there?!"
He grunted and sighed under his hockey mask
He came out of those dark shadows and let you see him
You just stared at him, eyes bulging out of your sockets.
"Jason?!"
He nodded
"Oh, my god. Oh, my god!"
You laughed in disbelif
"Im meeting a dead person?! And...even if you are lying and just pretending, holy shit!"
He just shook his head
"Can i take a picture?!"
He shook his head once again, cue a frown-y you
"I get it...but can i stay here?! Oh, my god. I always wonder about dead people, how they work and and stuff!"
He didnt see a problem with it, so sure.
He nodded
"Thank you!"
you squealed with excited
"You're gonna like me. We're gonna be friends!"
He didnt nod nor shook his head, but he shrugged.
Meh.
Rebel Yell - Ron “Slider” Kerner
Pairing: Ron “Slider” Kerner x Reader
Words: 2.4k
Summary: Penny, readers older sister, leaves to go hang out with Maverick and the crew at the bar instead of "babysitting" her younger sister while their parents are out of town. In an attempt to follow the many rules set by their father, reader calls the bar and asks Penny to bring her a pizza. Penny is less than thrilled at this prospect as she wants to stay out with Mav just a bit longer. Unbeknownst to reader, Penny enlists Slider, reader's long-time crush, to deliver the pizza instead.
Warnings: smut, age difference, a little bit of risky sex towards the end.
note: This was heavily inspired by Rebel Yell by Billy Idol and I'm On Fire by Bruce Springsteen. Both of which are on my Slider playlist :)
Tumblr media
One thing about being the youngest daughter of a Naval admiral is that no matter how old you are, you'll always be viewed as a child. It didn't help any that your older sister Penny was still required to "Babysit" despite you both being legal adults. You both agreed this rule was unnecessary so it wasn't uncommon for her to leave you at home while she went out with her friends or her on-again-off-again boyfriend Maverick.
This was where you found yourself tonight, alone at home while Penny was out on the town living the young adult dream. Even though there was a bit of an age difference between you two, you still couldn't understand why she wouldn't let you tag along more than once in a blue moon. What made this night different, however, was the fact that both your parents were away on "official business", leaving you and your sister (or really just you) alone in your large beachside home.
Making your way into the kitchen, you opened the fridge as if something to eat had appeared between the 10th and 11th time you did this exact act. It wasn't that there was no food, just that it was all either off limits or required way too much cooking. Not to mention the fact that another one of your fathers' rules was that you weren't allowed to cook when they weren't home.
Sighing, you close the fridge again and make your way over to the house phone. Putting the receiver to your ear, you consider not calling the bar to speak to Penny, but eventually decide that if she's willing to run off all night, the least she can do is bring you a pizza from the shop next door. The line rings for a while before the owner picks up.
"Hi. Is Penny there?" You ask while leaning onto the wall.
"Yep. Want me to fetch her for you?"
"Yes, thank you."
The owner set the line down and went to get Penny, leaving you to listen in on the commotion of the bar. You longed to be amongst the crowd, singing karaoke and flirting with aviators. Your head swam with memories of the few times Penny took you with her. You'd made fast friends with everyone, Iceman and Slider in particular. You'd always admired him, but it wasn't long until your admiration grew into a full-blown crush. He was older, with soft blue eyes and a physique practically carved out of stone. He was wild and funny and practically dripped confidence. Above all else, he treated you like you were more than just Penny's baby sister or the admiral's little girl.
Just as you were recalling the moments you'd shared with him, namely the moment two months back when Ron was teaching you to play pool and how his big, strong arms positioned you into the right form, penny picked up the phone.
"Is something wrong?'' She asked, clearly wanting to get off the phone as quickly as possible.
"No. But can you bring me a pizza from next door?"
"That's it? Why don't you just cook something?"
"You know how dad is, Penny. Besides, aren't you supposed to be babysitting me? Feeding the baby is part of the job, you know."
"...Fine," she huffed "I'm a little.. preoccupied, but I'll figure something out."
"Thank you!" You teased back.
"Don't push it."
-
Forty minutes later you were sitting on the floor carding through VHS tapes when suddenly the doorbell rang. Expecting either a delivery man or Penny herself, you opened the door without looking through the peephole.
"Surprise delivery." Slider smirks, holding the pizza box out to you.
Your grip on the doorknob slips as it takes all your willpower to stay standing. Taking the pizza with an unsteady hand, he asks to come in and you nod a little too excitedly in agreement. He follows you to the living room in silence. You set the food on the coffee table and turn to him.
"So what are you doing here?" You question.
"Penny asked the table if anyone wanted to bring you a pizza. I accepted because why wouldn't i want to see my favorite girl?" He smiled down at you.
It took all you had not to pass out right there. His favorite girl. There had always been a slightly flirty tension between you, but neither of you wanted to press it and ruin the small amount of time you spent together. But now it was just you two, alone in your house as he stood there clad in grey sweatpants and a complimentary tight white t-shirt that granted an outline of his dog tags.
forcing your eyes off his figure, you continued the conversation the best you could in his presence.
"Well, I appreciate it. Are you um.. heading back to the bar?"
"I was planning on heading over to my place." He answers.
Here goes nothing, you thought.
"Do you maybe want to stay here? With me? I was going to eat and watch a movie." You smiled through your nerves.
"And here I was thinking you'd never ask."
-
A while later the pizza had been all but forgotten in favor of the movie Ron had picked. Some horror flick from the past year. Clutching the pillow tighter to your chest you can't ignore Ron's eyes on you for what seems like the umpteenth time so far. Swallowing the lump in your throat, you turn to meet his gaze.
"What is it?"
"Nothing sweets. Nothing at all." He says, turning his attention back to the movie.
His reply leaves you both puzzled and slightly frustrated. Pushing the pillow onto the floor next to you, you stretch your body in an effort to release both tension and rid yourself of your beckoning sleepiness. Your arms push high above your head, the sensation causing you to groan softly. Settling back down, it isn't long before you feel him looking at you again. Just as frustration bubbles in your chest again he cuts you off.
"Are you tired?" He asks.
"Not really." You lie.
He doesn't need to know you still have a strictly enforced bedtime.
"Good. Do you think your sister will be back soon?"
This causes you to look up at him curiously.
"No, why?"
"Just wondering." He says before pausing as if considering his words.
"You know, I can always stay until she does. For safety reasons, of course." He smiles playfully.
Maybe it was your tired mind playing tricks on you, but you could've sworn his eyes trailed down your body as he spoke. Your face grows warm at the thought as your head drops shyly.
"I'd like that. Thank you." You say barely above a whisper.
"Of course, sweets." He smirks over at you before moving a bit closer.
Feeling shy next to him you put your focus back on the movie. Soon small yelps start to escape you as jumpscare after jumpscare appears on the screen. It isn't long before you're shielding your eyes and gripping Slider's arm for dear life. His hand made its way up your back and around your shoulder, squeezing you confidently as you continued to shy away from the tv. Hoping to not embarrass yourself further, you peeked out from under his arm. As luck would have it, you chose a terrible time to look. The image sends you scrambling into his lap with a shriek. Without missing a beat his arms curl around your form.
"I told you I was here to protect you" he teases in a low voice.
His voice sends a shudder down your spine. You bury your head further into his firm chest, trying to hide your embarrassment. He only laughs and shifts his grip on your body, grabbing your hips firmly, and prompting you to look at him. With a little coxing you unbury your face, earning a wide smile from the older man.
A wild look flashes in his eyes as he leans down towards your ear again.
"You know, if you wanted to jump in my lap and feel me up you could've just asked."
The heat burning on your face sinks lower as your eyes grow wide. Your heart rate picks up as you start to wriggle under his hands.
"Hey, hey, hey," He coos "Gosh, you really are the cutest."
Suddenly you still in his grip, heat moving from your face down to your belly every time he speaks. You slowly grow comfortable against him as silence falls between you. Just as you settle against him, his arms wrap around your front, rolling you onto the floor while he finds a spot on top of you.
Brushing your hair aside, his head dips as he places a soft kiss on your lips. The kiss deepens instantly and your mouths begin to move in sync. Your arms find their way around his neck to pull him closer and his hands trail down your sides. He pushes your thighs apart and slots his hips between them. His tongue pushes past your lips and he prompts your legs to wrap around his waist. Your hands find their way into his hair and your nails take down his scalp, earning a deep groan from him. Pressing further into you, he rolls his hips against yours. His hands find their way to your chest, but before they move inside your shirt he pulls his mouth away from yours.
"Tell me to stop and I will."
"Please.."  you practically whine.
"Please stop?" He says, backing off slightly.
"No! Just... um.." you say, growing shy again.
"I need to hear your words, honey."
"I want you."
"To what, honey?"
"...Fuck me."
"Atta girl." He says allowing more of his weight to press into you while his lips find your neck. "I'll take care of you," he says between kisses. "or ruin you. Whichever you prefer."
You shudder at his words and he laughs, loving the effect he already has on you.
"Let's try a little bit of both." He smirks slightly, planting a firm kiss to the side of your head.
Without any more hesitation, his lips find the crook of your neck while his hands find their way under your shirt. Your mouth falls open with a moan, prompting him to push his hips back in between your thighs. His hard on pressing into your core. He kisses your lips needily before making quick work of removing your collective garments. the moment his shirt lands on the floor your hands begin to roam his torso, sliding lower and lower until they meet the waistband of his grey sweatpants.
 “Don’t hold back,” he growls, sensing your slight hesitation.  His toned frame and ever-confident personality had you seeing stars. slipping out of his sweats he goes to remove your bottoms as well. You lift your hips up into his allowing him to finally discard your shorts and underwear. His palm pushes between your thighs to cup your heat. His digits push past your folds just enough to dampen them before bringing them to his mouth. You both groan at the sight. Heat floods your stomach causing you to buck your hips up into his. Through his boxers you can feel just how obscenely hard and big he is. You groan again at the sensation, the noise causing him to drop one hand from his mouth and push your hips to the ground. With his free hand, he frees his cock from his boxers and shifts to move the head between your soaked folds.
"Ronnie," you pant "I need you inside me.”
"You don't have to ask me twice," he smirks as he sinks his length into you. Your head falls against the floor as inch after inch of his erection enters your beckoning heat. Coming to hilt he groans and pauses, granting you time to adjust to his size. You let out a few needy moans as the seconds pass and the pressure in your abdomen grows.
"Ronnie, please. I need you to move," you say slowly.
His lips capture yours as he draws his hips back, drawing his length partway out before thrusting forcefully back into you. He swallows your small cry as your nails drag up his back and arms. His thrusts are long, even, and impossibly deep. Your head swims with nothing but pleasure as the head of his dick finds your sweet spot over and over again. Releasing your lips he reaches down and pulls one of your legs around his hip, allowing him to thrust somehow deeper inside you.
Your loud mewls blend with his deep groans. A quick snap of his hips makes your walls clench around him. The sound he lets out is downright pornographic and your mind goes blank. Leaving you a wriggling mess underneath him crying out for more. He continues his quick, sloppy thrusts until you come undone around him moments later.
Riding you through your orgasm, he soon pulls out and spills over your lower stomach. His strong arms land on either side of you. Keeping his full weight from collapsing on top of you. He presses his forehead to yours and your labored breaths sync. As you both come down from your orgasms, you almost don't hear the front door open and penny yell your name. Almost.
The sound of your name sends your once cloudy mind onto high alert. You froze, silently thanking the powers that be that blessed you with a house with a sectioned-off living room.
"Hey!" You yell back through the house, your voice much shakier than intended. A short silence follows before penny speaks up again. "Are you okay y/n?" Penny asks, causing Ron to bury his head in your shoulder in an effort to stifle a laugh. "I'm Fine! Just.. uh.. don't come in here!" You stammer earning a dampened laugh and a wild look from Ron. A much longer silence fills the air this time.
"...I'm just going to head up to bed. Goodnight y/n."
"Alright. Goodnight!" You answer, still half frozen.
Penny starts up the stairs without another word. Thinking you're in the clear, you both relax slightly, letting out soft giggles like two teenagers who just got away with something. Rolling off you, your mind grows cloudy again as he begins to whisper teasing praises into your ear. Yet with what's left of your mind, you hear her stop halfway up the stairs.
"-And goodnight Ron."
"Fuck."
(For my darling @cuepickle , ILYSM!)
--
Washed in fire-cracker light from a pit in Steve Harrington’s backyard, Billy swallows an entire topaz ocean from a can and stops wishing for California.
Because he’s piss-drunk, crinkling aluminum in his fist to keep from reaching out, into the flame, to prove that it’s all a dream. A feeling that will pass. And Steve’s smoking through Billy’s pack of Marlboro reds, one right after the other, the little train that could.
It doesn’t make Billy angry. It used to. Because he wanted to be the lighter in Steve’s hand and the smoke in Steve’s lungs and the blood rushing, confident, through his veins, and he never knew it.
That’s the thing about Billy. If it’s not coming from a textbook, he’s slow on the uptake and eager to swing out of misplaced anger. But once he figured out what this was, catching butterflies in his hands, he settled for friendship and he’s happy about it. Thrilled and content to share his cigarettes until the stars stop spinning like they’re caught in a washing machine, and he hopes against hope, that. Steve’ll stay put.
That they’ll sit close enough to touch all night long.
That even though people keep trying to drag Harrington back into the house, where they’ve got a game of beer-pong going and the stereo thumping so loud Billy thinks the Earth might crack open–he hopes that Steve will stop searching for tomorrow’s bright spring rays, too.
So, Billy stops dreaming of California.
“This is nice,” Steve says. The wind tousles his hair, kicking up notes of leather, coffee grounds, and vanilla ice cream. Billy wants to bottle it and make a fortune.
“Yeah,” He determines, instead. There’ll be time for masterplans and grand crimes later when Harrington’s the first to fall asleep.
Steve leans to scratch his leg, staring out at his empty swimming pool. “You’re having a nice time?” He asks, and Billy thinks all the color is gone from his face. But maybe it’s just the shadow of the new year closing in. Maybe it’s the moon.
Billy wants to make him smile. “Yeah.”
“That all you can say, Hargrove?” Steve glances over, cheeks red from the cold.
And he's gorgeous.
Billy's never seen anything like him in all the world, so he keeps a textbook full of moments exactly like this one. He never loses track of them, leafing through their worn and well-loved pages whenever he's lost in seas of brown.
A smile plays at the corners of Steve's lips, "Me too," he says, soft and secret and so like an eclipsing planet even though beyond a scraggly line of ferns and balding oak trees, tripping all the way along a path of bronze sandstone, all of Hawkins is getting trashed on the sloppy seconds from the Harrington’s Christmas party.
Steve doesn’t mind it. He’s got the world in his hand, a wristwatch that’s stopped working, and all of Billy’s attention focused as a searchlight, on his pretty, pretty face.
The whole cheerleading team is probably wondering where they are.
Billy can’t get his legs to work, they’ve turned to vanilla pudding. “What’d you get for Christmas, richie-rich?”
Steve shrugs and turns back to the pool. “Pair of Nike’s, that new Queen record, a pack of cool-ranch sunflower seeds, some kettle corn-–”
“Wow, Momsie and Papa couldn’t roll the savings account for you? Aren’t you an only child?”
“I got a Playboy desk calendar, too,” Steve passes his-their-Billy’s cigarette without a second thought. “It’s the gift that keeps on giving.”
Suddenly the backdoor opens, and a pinpoint of yellow flashes in a sea of dark, dark winter.
Billy uses his free hand to shield his eyes.
Steve clicks his teeth, annoyed when he shouts, “I’m busy,” to the short, pissed-off figure that calls his name into the night.
“It’s fine,” Billy tells him, swinging his legs over the side of the pool chair so he can get his feet under him, “They’re probably lost in there without you.”
“No,” Steve snaps. The thick gold band he stole from Billy’s gym bag after training camp this summer taps a frantic tune on the metal chair beneath him.
And Billy gets the sense that this isn’t a casual conversation.
That Steve’s got speeches and roadmaps snaking like candy-land fields in his mind, a clear goal trapping them in this moment on the last Friday of winter break, two hours past midnight on the first day of a brand new year.
Steve looks at him. Studies him.
Says, after a long, weightless moment, “There’s something I want to talk to you about,” and Billy’s mind goes a hundred and one places. None of them good, all of them baring teeth and claws and spikey bones from years of rotting decay.
"Feeling brave, Harrington,"
Steve grins in spite of himself, "Maybe,"
And somewhere behind them, the pinpoint of light goes out.
Steve takes a deep, uneasy breath. “I’ve been thinking about graduation.” He starts, and the world tilts sideways.
Frosted blades of grass crunch underfoot of someone drawing closer and closer to whatever grenade Steve’s about to throw on their perfect, carefree night. A stranger, or friend, or–-
Neil, for all Billy knows, is set to get a front-row seat to Steve’s admission.
I know what you are, Billy imagines him saying, kind eyes finally slicing Billy open after so many months of liquid care, I know how you feel about me and what happens in your gym shorts when you see my ass in the showers. I’ve seen how you fuck yourself open on your fingers imagining that I’m pressing myself inside you because we’re in love with each other–-
Steve gulps down the rest of his beer and turns, so their knees knock.
It hurts, and it doesn’t. He swallows panic, anyway.
Billy gets like that at the first sign of trouble. Sensitive as an overripe peach. All those times they put their hands on each other and Billy doubts Harrington knows that he bruises easily. That he carried Steve’s fingerprints on his skin for weeks after--
“It’s just,” Steve says, eyes cast to the ground. To the crust of the Earth, knocking politely on the lid of Billy’s sneakers, “When I think about my future, it gets fuzzy.”
“Yeah, that’s normal, I think.” Billy turns, eyes straining through the darkness to find the owner of those clandestine footsteps. The yard is empty. He passes the unlit cigarette back to Steve and wonders, through a cloud of haze and terrifying anxiety, if he imagined the whole thing.
Maybe they’re alone, after all. Maybe Steve will go easy on him. Maybe—
Steve lets the cigarette fall to the ground.
“Wasteful,” Billy says, trying to cast light on the mood.
“I don’t care, I’ll buy more."
On the tip of Billy’s tongue, he feels red-hot jealousy inflate like blown glass. Typical, he wants to say, you rich bitches don’t give two shits about the resources you deplete or the mouths you take them from, and still–-
Call it a habit.
Billy’s trying to file his own edges down. Doesn’t want to be that guy to Steve anymore, the one who says those things and means it, because–-
Billy bites down until he tastes blood to stop from saying something stupid. But the thought comes an hour and four beers too late.
Steve won’t look at him and Billy’s trying to find the hole in their lifeboat before their friendship sinks. There’ve been a lot of parties this break. A lot of weed smoke, a lot of tequila shots, and stolen six packs exchanged for frozen pizza, and Billy thinks for an endless moment that maybe he said something, once.
Got shitfaced and lost in the pink feeling when Steve carried him home and put Billy to bed and crawled under the sheets with him, so close but not touching, until they both fell to dreams.
Maybe Billy got too comfortable in their safe, easy friendship, and ruined everything.
Maybe Steve knows.
“My future,” Steve tries again, eyebrows pinched in a way that’ll give him wrinkles before he turns thirty-five, “It only makes sense if I imagine–-”
“Jesus Christ, It's fucking freezing out here."
Billy cranes his neck and Robin appears, windswept and higher than a kite, balancing along the abandoned edge of the pool. Her cheeks are red from the cold despite the insulated overalls that still hold last month's mustard stains, and the leather jacket she stole from Billy’s room and never gave back is slung around her shoulders.
They stare at her for a long, breathless moment.
“Y’all scared me,” She says, rubbing her hands together, "Am I interrupting something?"
Billy turns back around, "Not really," He says, at the same time, Harrington snaps, "Kinda," All teeth and none of that sappy best-friends-who-can-read-each other's-minds bullshit that he keeps on tap.
“You knew we were out here,” Steve clarifies. He flicks a cluster of ash from his sun lounger. “You were standing at the door, calling my name.”
“I was calling both your names.”
“Bullshit,” Billy tells her, chuckling.
“Not shit,” Robin says, plopping down on the pool lounger next to him, “I called both your names and when I heard Steve’s voice I thought maybe you went into the woods together.”
“How much dope have you had tonight?” When Robin waggles her eyebrows, Steve frowns, “We wouldn't go into the woods. Don’t go into the woods, Bucks.”
“Too late, I already did,” Robin snatches their cigarette off the ground and takes the lighter that’s offered, pinching the filter between her front teeth, “It’s fucking freezing out here–-”
Billy grins. "You already said that."
“We were talking,” Steve bristles. His eyes are narrowed, pools of honey covered in bees and wasps and he doesn’t say what Billy so clearly sees between the lines. We were talking–-
And you interrupted us.
Robin frowns. “What could you possibly be doing out here that couldn’t happen inside?”
“You mean the very same inside that’s caught under the mind-numbing cadence of Wham! and the watchful eye of half the school?” Billy shrugs, “Wasn’t my bag.” Billy takes robins-his-Steve’s cigarette and tells the truth. “Harrington’s waxing poetic about the future.”
“My future,” Steve says.
“His future,” Billy clarifies.
“Jesus Christ. It’s the last Friday of winter break, can we please not do the college thing?”
“Quick, check her head for bumps,” Billy deadpans, stealing his cigarette back. It’s comical, coming from Mrs. SAT herself.
Robin knocks her shoulder into Billy. Hard. “I’m serious. You guys put too much pressure on yourselves.”
“I got into UC Berkeley and it was my first choice,” Billy teases, “Don’t worry about little Hargrove, he’ll be shouldering summer road trips and bags of dope in four years' time.”
“Four and a half years, let’s not jump the gun,” Steve says, He fiddles with the sanded edge of his beer can, a thousand and one thoughts racing by like taxi cabs behind the curtain of hair on his forehead. “I can do that, now,” He says like it means something.
“Steve,” Robin begins softly, “What’s wrong?”
“God, nothing,”
And Billy’s smart enough to know when a bomb’s set to explode. Harrington’s got fire in him, it burns on a simmer like the focused light from an oil lamp, high in a tower overlooking the sea. He’s good at steering conversations and batting his spindly shutters to get what he wants.
It’s what makes him the King.
And Billy has to physically swallow his own tongue to stop from saying that Robin’s efforts are pointless.
Steve’ll talk when he’s ready if he ever gets there at all, and to be honest, Billy hopes the train doesn’t arrive tonight.
Billy’s feeling selfish.
Wants so desperately to skip the big, emotional conversations and for the light to return to the sky. For the last Friday before the spring semester to lose twenty pounds so it can fit, cookie-cutter and all, into the mold of Billy’s senior year. He doesn’t want to think about the future, there’s plenty of time for that.
Mostly, he wants to go inside and get drunk.
“C’mon,” Robin tries, kicking the toe of her boot and Steve’s sneaker together until he grinds his molars, “You can talk to us,”
Billy groans.
“Just because Hargrove and I are going to the same school-–”
“Buckley, leave the kid alone.”
Steve is silent for so long that Billy grows a headful of gray.
"I don't care about Berkely, I just care about California," He says. He looks at Billy, peers right through him and Steve’s eyes are glittering like a million wayward stars. Like he might cry. “I wanted to-–”
Billy springs to his feet.
“Jesus, can we just go inside?” Billy’s fingers itch for the comforting cylinder of aluminum. He wants to dance, and he’d take Cher or Madonna. George Michael–-
He pats the seat of his pants, instead, so it looks like he’s searching for something to smoke.
He doesn’t miss the hurt that flashes, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it, across Steve’s face.
“Alright,” Harrington crumples his beer can and tosses it, sharply, into the dark hollow of his swimming pool.
“C’mon, Steve, Bills is just being an asshole,” Robin’s nose wrinkles. She’s trying really hard to look serious and interested and sober. “What were you going to say?”
“It wasn’t important.”
“It was important enough for you to hold Billy hostage for the last hour and a half,” She takes the last puff from her cigarette, losing steam in this conversation, “You know Heather Duke was playing twenty questions, trying to figure out where Billy ran off to?”
“I don’t care about Heather Duke,” Steve says bluntly, “What makes you think I would ever give a shit about–-”
Robin is unphased, “Seems kinda like you give a shit about Heather Duke.”
And all at once, Steve snaps.
It’s like watching a tree fall in the woods. Silent, and then all hell breaks loose and the world ends.
“You didn’t have to come out here,” Steve says, about as even and gentle as the aftershocks of a hurricane, “You could’ve stayed inside with everyone else.”
“God, you’re such an asshole when you drink brown beer, it makes you delusional-–”
Billy sits back down.
“--Shoot me for wanting to make sure my best friends are okay,” Robin tells him, dry as an old desert bone.
“We were fine,” Steve snaps.
“You drank a bunch of beer and then fucking vanished.”
“If you think I’d ever let anything happen to him–-”
“--Harrington-–”
“--You’re out of your mind, Buckley.”
“Fuck you,” Robin throws her cigarette at Steve’s face. “Come find me when you’re done acting like you’re the only one who’s got feelings,” She says, and then she’s off. Stomping across the frosted lawn until the french doors slam shut behind her, harsh and final.
Steve kicks his sun lounger.
“Hey, easy, pretty boy.”
“We were having a private conversation,” Steve snaps. When he looks at Billy his eyes are glossed over, wet, huge, and afraid. “We were talking, and then–-”
“What the fuck has gotten into you?”
Steve frowns, spine going taught like the string of a bow, poised to kill.
Billy shrugs, confused to the very core of him. “In all the months I’ve known you and crashed on your couch and gotten piss-drunk in your shitty fucking car I’ve never seen you act like this. Robs mentions Heather Duke and-–”
“What, you care about Heather Duke, all of a sudden?” Steve scoffs like Billy’s the most irrational, irritating, piece-of-shit guy on the planet. “You know her dad bought her a nose job, like, two weeks before you moved here?”
“Oh my god, who gives a shit? I’m here with you. Right? I’m right here,” Billy shouts, uncaring for how his voice echoes against the bark of a million barren, dying trees, “Can we try and have a good night? It’s the–-”
“If you say it’s the last Friday of break one more fucking time–-”
Billy wonders what crashed Steve’s yacht into the rocks. What’s got his panties bunched up, and why Steve feels like he’s got any authority to stop Billy from getting a few good orgasms in before sunrise.
He doesn’t get the chance to ask.
Steve rubs the wet from his cheeks. “Forget it,” He says, “Let’s just. Let’s go back to the party, alright?”
“Steve-–”
But he’s gone.
Before Billy even has a chance to say that everything will be alright, Steve’s gone.
It’s another hour before Billy has the courage to chase after him.
In a room full of piss-drunk kids and aluminum barrels and honey-comb ashtrays that look like they’ve spit up all over Mrs. Harrington’s nice coffee table, Billy drinks the edge away.
Steve said he was going back to the party but he’s nowhere in sight. Robin’s missing, too, and Billy has no doubt they’ve hugged and made up. They’ve got a Care Bear cut to them, you know, can never go to bed angry.
Billy imagines that they’re in the mast bathroom right now. Swimming in Ma Harrington’s jet tub, or painting their toenails in the guest bedroom that overlooks the west-facing tree line. He wonders if they’re drunk enough to talk, hushed and trepid, about their fears.
Billy wonders if he’ll ever fully fit in with them. If he could ever belong anywhere else.
Eventually, the house starts to empty. Tommy H. says some dumb shit about being hung out to dry, all, if Harrington wanted to fuck the weird girl in a quiet house all he had to do was say something, but everyone else is too drunk to fake a laugh.
Billy tells him he should move the party to his. “Your parents are in Aspen, right?” Billy wonders, swallowing the last sip of his last beer for the ‘85 season.
“Yeah,” Tommy H. slurs, so he uses Billy’s head as a push lever to stand on the coffee table and knocks Mr. Harrington’s ashtray onto the carpet. Says, “Hey guys, afterparty at my house,”
No one in their right mind wants to go home plastered.
So the house clears.
Billy sinks into silence about as easily as a rock in the ocean. It swallows him, the distant drone of the heater is his only companion as he vacuums drifts of cigarette and marijuana ash from the carpet.
He runs the loud machine about the whole room to tidy up, imagining that with this invention Billy is cleaning up the last, terrible dregs of a very long year.
It’s freeing.
Billy’s weightless, so on cloud nine that when someone thumps on the floor upstairs he wonders who could be so high above him. Higher than his crown of mussy curls, taller than God himself.
Billy takes the stairs leisurely, focusing every free inch of brainpower on putting one foot in front of the other.
And the thing about Steve’s house is that there are a million long, winding corridors that Billy can’t navigate even when he’s operating at peak performance, you know. Drinking lots of water and eating root vegetables and laying off the cigarettes and following the thread of gold that trails after Steve like toilet paper stuck to his shoe.
Billy’s shitfaced and out of breath by the time he’s run out of guest rooms to investigate.
There’s no one here, Billy thinks.
No one but me, and the pipes–-
“Billy?”
Steve’s in his pajamas. He looks a little bit like Winnie the Pooh, in red flannel, rubbing at his eyes like maybe something woke him from a deep, dreamless sleep but Steve isn’t angry about it. Because he sat up all night waiting.
“Thought you left,” Steve mumbles, eyes squinted as if every bulb in the house is burning at once.
“Why would I leave?”
“I thought maybe I pissed you off and you went home with someone else,” Steve pads forward, voice soft and warm with curling tendrils of exhaustion.
Billy wants to touch him. Billy aches to run his fingers through Steve’s hair and pull and tug until the guilt is smoothed from his face.
Most of all, Billy wants to kiss him.
And he’s so used to that feeling sitting like a hot coal in the very center of him, heating words and emotions to boiling until they bubble up and spill over in ways Billy could never stifle, even with a lid to the flame.
Billy’s so used to it that he shrugs, instead. “I’m wasted,” He admits, because it takes the sting away from the thought that Harrington’s suspicious of him. That once the alcohol burned everything away, Billy whored himself out. Chose someone else. Abandoned ship even though–-
“I know,” Steve smiles softly, “Me too.”
“Where’s Robin?”
“Asleep,” Steve confesses. They stare at each other for a moment and Steve’s expression melts. His smile is washed away, happiness swallowed by grief. “Listen, Billy–-”
Billy pads toward the bedroom. “We can talk about it tomorrow.”
“But I–-”
Billy takes his shirt off, slipping out of his boots and trousers on autopilot. There have been so many nights exactly like this one, so many beer-filled memories of slipping under the covers and feeling Steve, warm and soft, curl up behind him.
But it’s almost like a switch has flipped and after their friendly spat by the pool, they’ve been sucked into an alternate dimension where the awkwardness that stuck like wet paint to their friendship and never really dried.
Steve stands next to the bed, now, teeth rattling from the cold.
Everything’s quiet.
“I was an asshole,” Steve tells him.
Billy’s exhausted. “Stevie, get in bed.”
“Things are changing so fast and I just-–”
Billy’s already half asleep. “I don’t give a shit about that, Steve, it’s alright,” Billy settles in with Robin. She snuffles, rolling over until she’s settled enough to begin drooling slick over Billy’s left nipple.
He lets his eyes slip closed, breath calm even as the mattress feels like it’s lost at sea.
Billy cracks open one eye, glaring up at Steve where he’s watching Robin and Billy with a small, sweet curl to his lips. “Come cuddle, you shithead,” Billy mutters, knowing he’ll be embarrassed about that tomorrow.
Steve looks afraid. Young and frightened and so uncertain.
It’s a strange, unusual look to see on Steve’s face.
Billy’s heart pinches, shuddering painfully in his chest. “C’mon, Harrington, I’m cold,” Billy tries again. He knows he won’t be able to fall asleep without Steve. It’s a dorky, pathetic development as ancient as the stars.
Even when he’s home, lounging in his own bed on Cherry lane; even when the days are decent with no fights and swinging fists because Billy did his chores and minded his tongue, when there’s nothing to cry about and nothing be up early for, Billy doesn’t dream as easy as he does here.
With Steve.
So Billy shuffles toward the edge of the bed, smirking when Robin flips over onto her stomach. “If you get in here with me you can tell me all about it, alright?”
“And you’ll listen?”
“And I’ll listen,” Billy swears.
Steve bites his lip. He shuffles for another few seconds and then gives in, laying on the other side of Billy.
And Billy is too drunk to notice the way their bodies naturally curl around each other. Like clinging vines and stone houses, soft greenery seeking warmth. Billy puts his face in the crook of Steve’s neck, pushing into the calloused fingertips that trace the curve of his spine.
He’s warm.
He’s already asleep, dreams lapping like warm ocean water against his toes.
“I was thinking,” Steve says, “About the future?”
Billy makes a noise, floating on Steve’s mattress.
“I just. I want you–” Someone’s snoring. “Goddammit, Robin.”
Billy curls away from the sound, slinging one leg over the waist of that soft, murmuring voice to stop it from disappearing. It blends in with the texture of the night. It slips away but that doesn’t matter.
“Billy?”
Billy dreams of the boy it’s attached to, and he falls asleep, succumbing to the mystery of the future.
–-
“This is your fault,” Robin says. She dips a green bean in tarter sauce and licks all of it off before chewing, “Well. Mostly it’s your fault.”
It’s fish-fry day. Reminds Billy, like a spot of paint on a big bright canvas, just the tiniest bit of home. He’s in a good mood, taking his time with his mashed potatoes, hasnt even cracked open his Pepsi, and it’s like the afternoon catches on a low-hanging branch and pops open. Ripped at the seams.
Billy’s slow on the draw, mouth smeared with lazy ease. “What now?”
“Steve,” She says. Like duh. Like, “It’s your fault.”
Billy stabs his last fish stick. Imagines blood and guts, little water-logged voices screaming in pain, “You’re full of shit.”
“I’m full of astute observations,” Robin tells him, looking around and leaning forward like anyone in first lunch gives a damn about Steve or either of them, for that matter.
Billy’s cool died, right along with his heart, the first time Steve smiled at him.
“You really need to pay more attention to the people around you.” Robin continues loudly, “Just because we don’t have 20-pack abs-–”
“What the fuck are you talking about, Buckley?”
“You were there. You saw how Steve blew a fuse.”
“Wasn’t like he was running in tip-top shape anyhow,” Billy spots Heather Duke across the room, batting her lashes so hard it looks like she’s got something in her eye. "Are we really talking about this?"
She waves.
Billy doesn’t wave back.
“Stop making fuck-me eyes at your girlfriend,”
“Buckley,” Billy warns, eyes snapping, poised to kill, on Robin’s face, “You’re on thin ice.”
“I’m always on thin ice,”
“More than usual,” Billy clarifies. He leans forward, close enough that he hopes his tarter-sauce breath kills Robin on the spot. “I’m not taking the blame for the Princess’ shitty New Years' mood.”
Robin doesn’t plug her nose. “Well, you should.”
“Why, because I’m a reformed asshole and that makes me a scapegoat for everyone else’s neurosis?”
“No,” Robin says dryly, “You’re probably the only person on the entire planet who can let him know everything’s going to be okay.”
Billy flops back in his seat, scrubbing at his face and tugging at his hair like maybe if he buffs hard enough, he can be a new person. Shiny and clean. The type that does shit like this, who can open like a spring flower and not care about the bees.
Eventually, Billy inflates again. “Steve hasn’t said anything to me about anything.”
“He’s probably embarrassed.”
“--The guy who brags about being best friends with a Middle Schooler–-”
“Okay, then he’s worried you’ll reject him,” Robin says.
And.
The first boy who ever had a crush on Billy pulled his chair out from under him. Billy cracked his head on the desk and had to get four stitches. Billy’s mom drove him to Urgent Care and said boys only do that when they’re in love with you.
Because they can’t find the words, she’d told him.
In retrospect, it makes sense to Billy that his mother would say that. All she ever knew was love the color of fresh bruises.
But the thing about Steve is, he’s full of words.
He drips honeyed dad jokes and terrible made-up song lyrics about the cowlick that floats in Billy’s hair when he’s had too much to drink. Steve spins stories about the future and says things like when we’re at college together and when we’re roommates and I get to trap you forever by my side–-
He’s stuffed to bursting with sunlight and easy promises.
And the thing about Billy is, his whole life has been about death. Rebirth, too. Over and over and over again. He’s had to rework what love looks like from all sides, proving to himself time after time that nice boys don’t leave bruises when they hold you in their arms. They don’t crack skulls and split lips with anything but their teeth.
And when blood spills, it’s all by accident.
They clean it up with their mouth. They spit it out again, and it's golden healing.
Billy’s pretty sure he falls through the chair.
Or maybe, the legs break out from under him. And the Earth crawls away, nursing split crust and shattered plates. And the cosmos burns up, like. In one fell swoop.
That first crush times a million and Steve isn’t even here.
“What,” Billy rasps. He clears his throat. Chokes and tries again, climbing up a mountain of truth. “What does that mean?”
Robin won’t look at him.
Billy leans forward. “He’s worried that I’ll stop hanging out if he’s vulnerable with me?”
Robin’s cheeks are red. So pink Billy would chew a roll of HubbaBubba to color match with the fuzzy damp of her skin.
“Did Steve say Friday was my fault?”
She picks at her food.
“Robin,” Billy says.
Robin shakes her head. She won’t look at him.
Billy grinds his teeth, “Robin.”
“No, Billy.”
“You’re such an asshole.”
“I’m not getting involved–-"
“You’re getting a head full of mashed potato if you don’t tell me what you’re talking about,” Billy scoops what’s left off his tray, gripping the handle of his spoon so hard he’s sure his palm starts bleeding.
“Billy,” Robin starts.
Billy raises his eyebrows in a venomous threat, leveraging the spoonful of mashed potatoes he’s got locked and loaded.
He’ll do it. He’ll fire the first shot and every blow that comes after and Robin knows he will.
She shifts in her chair, “I wasn’t supposed to say anything.”
“It’s a little late for that.”
Robin shakes her head. “I was supposed to keep quiet.”
“Dammit Robin, why the fuck are you speaking in riddles? Why are you acting like you can point fingers and pin blame all from the comfort of your fucking high horse and not get your shit rocked for it?”
“I’m not on my high horse–-”
“Bullshit,” Billy slams his spoon on the table. “You can’t tell me that everything is my fault and not speak the fuck up.”
Billy won’t stand for it.
Robin frowns. “Maybe ‘everything,’ was a bit dramatic.”
“Ugh, Robin.”
“Maybe I should’ve chosen my words a little more carefully,” She dodges the mound of potatoes that goes flying, cheeks red as the sun. “I would’ve. If I could do it over again, I would.”
“Spare me.”
“You know I can’t control my mouth once it gets going, I get, like. Verbal diarrhea.”
Billy jerks into motion and starts gathering his lunch scraps.
Because he’s got a thing about blame, at the root of him. Being saddled with the weight of everything. Everyone’s shit mood and shit decisions and shit consequences, all smeared down the front of his heart just because he’s strong enough to hold it.
Robin stares at him as he slings his backpack over one shoulder. The calculus textbook he’s read twice cover to cover, sits like a familiar childhood blanket against his shoulder blades. His heart rate slows, everything grinds to a halt, and that’s when he realizes that Robin’s about three seconds away from crying.
At lunch.
In the lunchroom.
“Steve’s been such a good friend to me,” Robins says quietly. “He’s never aired my shit, you know? Or put himself in the middle of something that didn’t concern him.”
“Steve’s a good person, he wouldn’t do that.”
“But he could’ve,” Robin scrubs at her face just to make sure it stays dry. “I guess I'm still a little pissed off about Friday.”
Billy slides out of his backpack. “I don’t really blame you. Something’s bothering him, I’ve never seen him flip his lid like that.”
“I’m really worried about him, Bills.”
“And you think I’m not?”
“No, I know you are, it’s just,” Robin bites her lip again, so hard Billy worries that blood will trickle onto the Formica table top. “Have you talked to him about his acceptance letters?”
“His college acceptance letters?”
“Yes,”
Billy blinks, more confused than he’s ever been in his life.
He’s embarrassed to admit that it’s been the farthest thing from his mind. After Billy got into Berkeley and Robin followed close behind, like a toppling domino hellbent on majoring in Forestry, Billy just sort of assumed, that–
“Steve didn’t get in.”
Robin studies her picked-over lunch tray and the table beneath that, like maybe the wood grain will hold the key to the universe if she stares hard enough.
Billy slips into his backpack.
Robin jerks up at him, frowning, “Where are you–”
“Steve’s got free period next, right?”
“Yeah–”
“I’ll be back in time for Calc.” Billy kisses Robin’s cheek, immediately wiping the taste of nosey lesbian from his lips.
Chapter 2
: as long as you followChapter Text
Whatever Steve’s supposed to do with his life is a distant cloud on the horizon until it’s not.
And as his father would say, hardly glancing from the dotted line splayed on the desk in front of him, that Steve’s wrapped in a Molotov of distraction.
He’s never had to work a day in his life, really work, because Steve’s mother wanted him to have a bright and easy childhood. And because of the angelic grace given to him as the result of a long line of lovers who wanted better for their love, Steve won’t make anything of his life.
He digs his heels into that truth, ever his father’s son, making sure to take chunks out of it.
He wants to gather that harshness into a pile and create something else. Build a home or a treehouse or a getaway car.
So he drinks and smokes and fucks his way down the river. Past roiling clouds of semester finals and homecoming games , never really clocking that behemoth milestone in the distance.
Until Billy, who makes Steve so crazy he feels radioactive.
Billy talks about the future all the time. With a curl to his lips and a beer in his hand, ribs and knuckles bruised. When I’m finally out of here and I’m back home, standing in the summer waves—
He makes grand statements. He could sell Steve a plot of land at the edge of the world, his bare feet dangling in the cosmos because anywhere is a step up from here.
And at first, college is a welcome ticket out of Hawkins and away from Billy and all the confusing, fucked up things he makes Steve feel. But then, just as quickly, it becomes about doing everything in his power to stop the wedge of the future from coming between them.
It becomes about giving Billy something to hold onto. It becomes about all those gnarled things his father told him about failure and family names.
Steve’s future starts to look less and less like what he’d never fully imagined. It  doesn’t belong to himself, or to his father, but to Billy.
Just like everything else, it.
It becomes about mortaring a foundation and building a thatched roof to come home to when the stars grow cold.
But love doesn’t change his transcript.
And all the money Steve would rather die than take from his father to make every problem swallow itself doesn’t chip away at reality. For Billy, doors, and windows have opened into bright, golden pastures flanked by possibility as deep as the Pacific ocean, and Steve.
Steve will only hold him back.
–-
He chews on that for a while.
It grows thick and gummy from unsheathed worries and unshed tears and Steve wishes, into the empty well of his endless swimming pool on New Year's Eve, that things were different. That all the money he’s sitting on like a lucky dragon with a pocketful of coins could change the fork in the road.
Steve tries to ignore it.
Billy’s leaving in four months and he’s taking Robin with him and Steve wants that. Wind in Billy’s hair, you know.
Life.
It’s killing him. Robin knows, but only because Steve was wasting away.
She thinks he’s being a dumbass. “Just talk to him,” She says, “You never know what he might say, right? He could–”
What? Steve doesn’t tell her. Billy could give up his dream and stay here in Hawkins and rot and rot and hate me forever.
Billy asks him, “What the fuck has gotten into you,” That night and so many times before. Astute and scholarly and beautiful like an open flame when Steve can’t fake any more smiles.
Billy’s got to fly away. And Steve, regardless of whether he’s earned his wings, wants to jump after him.
–-
He’s parked at the quarry and the sun’s playing peek-a-boo.
On the hood of his car, Steve digs at his jean pockets and tires to imagine that the future could be like this. That maybe, without Robin’s big mouth and Billy’s fierce protection, Steve could find spots of sunlight to bask in so he won’t freeze to death.
But, really, every day is overcast.
He’s tired of pretending otherwise.
So it’s fitting that right as Steve considers walking ten extra feet to the lip of the rocky ground, Billy’s car pulls to a thundering halt and almost skids past the rope barrier, careening off the cliff and into the raging waters below. Steve imagines jumping after him. He would. He–
“You didn’t get into Berk,”
There are countless clouds on the horizon. “Nope,” Steve says, and he pop’s the P because it feels right. New Year New Steve–
Billy shoves him off the car hood. “You’re an asshole.”
Steve can’t fight anymore, “I know,”
“Why the fuck didn’t you say anything?”
There’s so much he could’ve said then. And now. And always.
I love you, he tries, staring out at a distant line of trees, I want to give you the world.
Steve shrugs his shoulders. “Nothing will change it.”
“Your parents have money, Steve,” Billy tries, and that’s just like him. Steve’s biggest cheerleader.
But Steve lost, alright? The game. The guy.
“It’s not any kind of money I want.”
“Don’t be stupid,” Billy shoves him again. His eyes get caught on Steve’s collarbone, tracing the line of his sweater. “Why aren’t you wearing a jacket?”
“‘M not cold,”
“Your lips are almost blue.”
“So I’ll freeze to death,” Steve admits, like. Big whoop.
But then Billy’s shrugging out of his jacket, “Here,” He says. Pissed and venomous like it’s going against his personal code of ethics to keep Steve alive when all he’s ever been is a dumbass with a hazard sign taped to his ass.
When Steve doesn’t take the warmth that’s offered to him, Billy steps close–
So close Steve gets wind of the ylang-ylang oil Max got him for Christmas
–and drapes the jacket over Steve’s shoulders.
It’s sweet.
It’s exactly the kind of thing Steve would’ve done for Nancy, back when he thought he knew what love was supposed to taste like. It chokes him up, gets those huge, impossible words lodged in the back of his throat so when Billy lights a cigarette and hands it over, Steve nearly chokes to death.
He lives.
Billy sits on the hood of the Beemer. “What are you gonna do now?” He asks.
Steve puffs on the Marlboro, “Maybe I’ll work at my dad’s office.”
“You’re not doing that, Steve.”
“Okay, then I’ll go missing,” He passes the cigarette back over, trying to brush Billy’s skin with his fingertips one last time, “Maybe I’ll die if I’m–”
“What happened to Marine Biology?” Billy shifts on the hood of the car so his knees press, sharp as knives, into Steve’s hip bone.
He looks so open. Earnest and dead-set on solving all of Steve’s problems for him, making a way, and forging a path in fire when the road won’t yield its secrets. It’s so Billy, so exactly the reason Steve loves him, that. He can’t hold onto it anymore.
“That was a lie,” Steve admits, “I don’t know shit about biology or the ocean beyond what I’ve seen on the History channel, I just. Wanted to be with you.”
The truth lands like cold water on Billy’s lap.
Steve flicks ash from the end of the last cigarette he’ll ever share with Billy, and. Thinks this is what love tastes like. Truth and smoke and clear, bright wintery air.
“My whole life, nothing and no one ever really made sense. For so long I was avoiding every turn that brought the future because I didn’t know what it was supposed to look like, but then–”
“But then?” Billy asks, so quiet Steve almost misses it.
He takes a deep breath. “I met you,” He admits.
And it feels good.
It’s almost as good as flying, so Steve takes a deep breath and says, “I met you and everything made sense. You talk about the ocean so much that I really did want to learn more. I thought, if he loves it then I could, too. Because I love him and I would do anything, be anyone, if it would make him smile. I wanted to study its ways and become fluent in its language so when you spoke, I could talk back. I wanted to be good enough to make you love me, good enough to take you away from here, But I’m not.”
Steve scrubs a hand across his face.
“You don’t need me to take you away from here, though. I think I always knew that. You’re strong enough to do that yourself. I’m sorry I’m not good enough, Bill.”
The sun disappears behind a bank of thick, gray clouds, and Steve imagines freezing solid.
It’s fitting. A neon sign that proves Steve was right.
Billy takes the cigarette when it’s offered to him. He doesn’t say anything for so long that Steve starts the grieving process, truly dawning a black veil for the death of what was and what never will be.
Steve slides off the hood of the car.
“Do you want to see the West with me?”
He looks over his shoulder. The wind kicks Billy’s curls into his face, hiding his eyes so he looks like a mysterious figure, an ancient God, offering the world on a silver tray.
“I,” Steve mutters, “I don’t understand–”
“You can’t stay here.”
Steve stands his ground. “I can. I have to.”
“I’m not letting you go,” Billy determines. Because he’s beautiful and stubborn and when the wind flows into the east, his eyes bore holes into the cosmos.
Billy slips off the hood of the Beemer, heels cracking so even though they’re standing on even ground all of a sudden, Steve imagines toppling through the crater left behind and voyaging to the center of the Earth.
Billy must pick up on Steve’s master plan.
He sets his jaw in a cut line that has always and will always mean business. “You can’t offer me the world and then take it away because you’re scared,” Billy tells him. He steps close, fingers toying with the hair at the base of Steve’s skull. “I want to get out of this fucking town, Harrington,”
“You should,” Steve blubbers. He’s crying, when did he start– “You should run away and never look back, you know?”
“I plan to,” Billy says bluntly, “And you’re coming with me.”
“Billy–”
“Here’s the plan,” Billy wipes at Steve’s tears, his own eyes dry and resolute. “Over spring break, we’ll take that trip to California just like we said we would. We’ll smoke a lot of dope and I’ll teach you to surf and Robin and I will look around campus–”
“--That sounds great-–”
“--And we’ll find an apartment,” Billy insists, somehow eclipsing the sun and the entire vast, endless spread of the Earth behind him. “We’ll find an apartment, and you’ll go to community college and even if you decide to write terrible poetry and do nothing else for the rest of your fucking life, it won’t matter. Because we’re gonna grow old together, okay?”
He grips the ends of Steve’s hair and tugs, yanking until Steve finally cracks a smile.
“Okay,” Steve says.
When Billy kisses him, it’s like falling apart and fusing together, over and over again until Steve is made new.
Somewhere between the past and the future, the sun escapes the bank of clouds
They hardly notice.
