Keep your eyes peeled for the second addition of isopods coming v soon😅 they might surprise you😏
Cute little babie!!!
Isopods and springtails are so fun. I really want some of the orange ones but I also don't know if that's just because they're like sentient Wotsits

A nice springtail (Bilobella aurantiaca) from the Insugherata park into Rome city. I shot this image this morning while the city was awakening and I felt like being in another planet contained into ours. Shot with @nikonitalia Z7, @venuslaowa 25mm ultramacro and @godoxphotoequipment mf12 macro flashes. SEASONAL INFLUENCE OF SOIL PROPERTIES ON POPULATION DENSITY OF Bilobella braunerae (DHERVANG 1981)- (COLLEMBOLA: NEANURIDAE) IN GRASSLAND OF SOUTHERN WESTERN GHATS | UTTAR PRADESH JOURNAL OF ZOOLOGY
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of soil physicochemical parameters on the population density and vertical distribution pattern of Bilobella braunerae, a soil collembolan found in the grasslands of the Southern Western Ghats. The data revealed that the postmonsoon season (26.9) had the highest mean abundance of collembola, followed by monsoon (20.5) and premonsoon (1.9). (7.1). During the postmonsoon season, the population density of organisms was high in the 0-10 cm layer of soil. During the premonsoon season, a vertical migration pattern was seen with an increase in soil temperature and a decrease in moisture content. Because of the intense rainfall during the monsoon season, organisms migrate vertically to 10-20 cm depth, resulting in a lower quantity of organisms in the 0-10 cm layer of soil. The abundance of B. braunerae in grassland was strongly influenced by the seasons. The identification of soil components that directly influence the population was made using Principal Component Analysis (PCA). In all seasons, the top five principal components (PCs) explained more than 80% of the overall variance. The PCA revealed that soil pH, organic carbon, soil moisture, temperature, phosphorus, and potassium had a substantial impact on B. braunerae population density. Engluer
