#bin and then ranting about that ending with a girl no one really liked like halfway through the school year
Text
I wanna rant about my opinions on certain characters and aphmaus own character (mainly the cast of the "smp") this may be garbled since im just going off whats on my mind rn
SMP and OG series talk
Now Im not the biggest fan of mystreet, but im not a hater, i think its og first three seasons are fine (third seasons plot was straight ass through) but after season 4 and all the multiverse and mcd and mystreet worlds are in the same timeline thing, kinda made things werid
(especially with season 4 oh my god wtf was that)
But now that i see how those characters are used now.....for fucking cocomau content...
...I can't really give mystreet shit cause its cast was sent right into kid sensory video hell or just hell since a lot of characters didn't end up in the cocomau smp unless it was highschool themed videos (RIP katelyn and travis, forever in highschool puragatory dimension)
But those who were spared from the waste bin were cursed with a experience worse than death
Character Regression and Character Assassination
The entire cast of the aphmau smp (and one video returning characters too) all have their worst traits put to eleven or are at their most basic traits of the trope of their character where they are competely soul-less or lose past development in their character as a whole
(or your pierce, and you get a competely different personality from the og series you were from)
Now the reason why everyone is like this is of course (kids channel now) and (everyones supposed to be in a server and are irl ppl now)
But...when i said characters have their worst traits put up to eleven, is for one reason
Its so aphmau and aarons actions look better in comparisson, since shes the all perfect main character that does no wrong and is so nice to everyone and...aaron is basically the mvp of the smp, best fighter, builder, and "hottest guy" on the server and is the mysterous loner or some shit.
(Fact I hate these two so fucking much)
littary aphmau is the most overdramatic marysue bitch ive ever seen when it comes to reasons why she has the right to go apeshit on her friends and i could bring up several videos, i really could, its not hard
noteablely, the many times she has decided to just kill her best friends or ruin her friends lives out of petty reasons and childish reasons none the less, and god this girl just loves getting pissy when someone does the exact thing she did to another, since only she can steal others stuff or blow up their house, or be overpowered to a point where shes just cheating.
But oh my god, jessica you know how to make me hate all the rest of your bitches too!
(besides noi, kim and pierce, they are perfect to me, noi is on thin ice tho)
KC, Zane, Ein and Aaron are on my list of bitches I wouldnt hesitate to fucking kill on sight if i saw their color coded asses spawn into a ACTUAL minecraft server. (ill get to that color coding thing too btw)
The Asshole and The Clown
Now fuck where do i begin with these four, like all of them over the past three to four years has become the most annoying and aggrevating characters
But, just so I don't pull someones nerve with the true "fan" favorites, Aaron, the jerrysue of the smp and basically her perfect half cause hes jusr her but as a man, he's a jackass that is never called out for his asshole behavior like every other male character is, hes always put as being smarter, better, stronger, and more attractive than any of the other guys too, basically being the best alpha male ever to exist....but not really, not even a single bit
I swear this is the worst verison of aaron ive ever seen in my life, the biggest try hard ive ever seen, all the girls wanna date him, always gloating when theres someone around he believes hes better than, and god he is not nice to others who arent good at building like him. Honestly, MAN ISNT NICE AT ALL!! like only time he is nice is of course to the purple stain that is his irl wife, like the times this guy was just violent for no reason, insulting or just aggrevated around anyone was just making me feel like...
aaron do you even like any of these people??, cause ive seen every way he talks to all of the cast and he sounds like he wants them all gone and dead so he can just be all cutesy and shy around aphmau, like dude if you think all of them are annoying, dont live near by them?????
(Now, ive mentioned both the channel mascot couple of the smp, but heres the thing, when i said the other characters make these two look like angels, i mean it)
Now we are actually really digging, and we didnt even need to go far, we've already struct gold!...but theres not much...
Ein, the worst villian and most pathetic man to ever live.
What a time, season 4 of mystreet! and we got the biggest clown with the biggest alpha complex to ever exist! and the evolution of a creep in werewolves as a whole....it was fucking werid
Anyway, now smp ein is a true irl villian, hes no longer just a anime incel, hes a fucking sexist gamer incel also!
Now, Ein really isnt too interesting (wow what a surprise) really hes one of the characters who has been put to his most basic traits making him extra annoying, extra obessed with power and, of course still be madly in love with aphmau but if it wasnt known, aphmau changed alittle bit of eins lore, making him no longer related to her (only in the smp cannon tho💀) which is a good thing! but its only a change that was made for horrible reasons, being that she still needs him to be aarons rival and as i said before, be aphmaus possible second "choice", which is...normal for aphmau honestly....
(Aphmau can't have a single man on this server just not be into her, even if the guy clearly has a love interest thats not her)
Strangely though she really likes to romantically pair Ein with everyone, even men, so at least we know she still has that problem with her ocs...
Hes like her little lab rat and i hate her so so much, but fuck its hard to feel bad for him since this women will than have this man be the worlds second most grossiest sexist incel you could ever come across
wait did I say second--
Zane ro'meave and his several counts of "GET A JOB, STAY AWAY FROM HER"
(mystreet zane is fine, mcd zane is the perfect kinda villain for what mcd was, and smp zane is hell on earth, the end)--
Zane in the aphmau smp is kinda...a jumpscare in a half since you never know when hes gonna switch, cause...he has the biggest habit of either, being the biggest smartass in the room or the scariest "my lady" ass incel you could ever fucking dream apon, just every bit of his charm from mystreet that made you kinda push aside the slight every now and than werid behavior he had, its just GONE
absolutely vanished! and yknow what
I hate zane, i hate him more than i hate anyone in this damn cast, im the biggest zane hater you will ever meet, and the reason for it is cause this verison of zane is the dark universe of if zane never grew from the FIRST season of mystreet, never got humbled or anything, and also if he still acted like a hormone filled highschooler whenever any women even looked his fucking way.
Hes a creep, hes a incel, hes still sexist and overprotective of his only female friend, but now even wants to date her just to have more control over who she can't and can speak to (code for, no guy friends allowed/no aaron, bo womp) and if he isnt doing that, hes drooling and creepily mumbling to himself about the pink cat girl he has a massive crush on.
Honestly worst part of it is that he acts like this outta nowhere, and even worse, recently theres been this obession with him NEEDING KC's diary, wanting to know every single little thing about her so he knows how to woe her and even see if she likes him, which is just...
Tumblr media
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH HIM???!!!??
APHMAU WHY DID YOU MAKE HIM BE LIKE THIS??!!??
(and hes not even punished for it, like maybe kc telling him that hes creepy or smth, nothing, just nothing, proubly cause recently they have been competely implied to be dating now)
but, its not like miss kc is perfect, oh boy, kc is...
The two sided bitch and her jealously and spite of her "perfect" best friend + shipping
Oh KC, when i first started watching all this cocomau trash, you were boring as hell, just a cute cat girl who likes to bake and be pretty, and just another yes man for that purple cunt, but ever since you started being a cunt yourself, you have only been a pain to watch and listen to, you have only made me hate you and your little lap dog of a boyfriend even more honey
So KC, our resident cute cat girl isnt really all that cute of recent, she slowly becoming more spiteful, having anger issues, being more whiney, bratty, jealous, and unloyal to her partner, creating the most toxic couple in the entire smp verse
(but this was something that was gonna happen at some point, aarmau has to stay as the perfect ship, couple goals yknow, so zane x kc has be anti-aarmau, toxic behavior all around)
Now KC is a unloyal and horrible partner for a few reasons, shes a massive hypocrite and sadly abusive.
1. She gets mad at Zane for even speaking to other girls, or even seemingly flirting with them, specifically any of the marry, date, kill videos with both of them in it can be a big example of this behavior.
But than when we look the other way to her, she gets to playfully talk, compliment and flirt with any guy she wants, and gets all angry when shes stopped from doing it, also she only does this with aaron btw, since shes jealous of aphmau having "the hottest, coolest, and sweetest guy in the server" for a boyfriend.
(aaron is littary none of those things and just pointing out more to how aaron is a jerrysue)
2. KC IS SO FUCKING VIOLENT WITH ZANE OH MY GOD, i guess aphmau still thinks when a women hits or beats up her male partner, its her being in the right or it being super duper funny and wacky!
(this entire short is an example of that)
But I will say though, it isnt just KC, their a toxic couple cause their both terrible partners, zane is equally just as hypocritical and unloyal, but hes a lot more oppessive and even more jealous prone,
(kim is usually a victim of being between the two but fr fr, kim genuinely hates zanes, aphmau just keeps making more drama for no reason and really wants ppl to also ship kim x zane, which....when it comes to everyones opinion of mystreet kim and ghost existing and everything with season 4....it is never gonna fucking happen you dumb purple cunt)
My Inner Demons-Character regression and personality switches (a short one)
Now that we are off those characters, lets end this off with our favorite little daemos!
Noi and Pierce!
Now, im a advid lover of my inner demons, its the last of aphmaus good content before the purge and its sadly the best of her writing, but the fact that she put them in the smp is a red flag, and i instantly noticed things...
...Pierce is a silly himbo goofball now that has a brain the size of a pea, and who loves sheep
and
Noi is the most basic sweet little good boy, does no wrong little guy, baking cooking and eating pizza
(now im not mad about this, since i got to know the smp verisons of them before their og selfelves)
but fuck i prefur when noi had depth and was genuinely mean and kinda rude on purpose.
im mixed with pierce tho cause i like both verisons of him, i think both verisons of him are neat, his va has good range, respect that
The End
Well thats all i gotta say, ratto out and about

Collision of Worlds
Tumblr media
modern!Tommy Shelby and amish!reader
He barely registered the horn honking, much less that the shrill sound was directed at him. He prematurely stepped off the sidewalk, more concerned with the iPhone in his hand, the meeting coming through his headphones, the hot coffee in his other hand, to notice the crosswalk sign flashing red.
The white BMW screeched to a halt a few feet from him, the driver laying on the horn and waving his hands sporadically in frustration. Without missing a beat, he stopped, turned, and looked at the driver through his shades before taking a sip and continuing on as if nothing had happened.
It wasn’t the first time Thomas Shelby looked death in the eye.
He was mildly perturbed he’d nearly spilled his coffee and had to ask his buisness associate on the other end to repeat his question.
“No, no, we’ve stopped all trade with our supposed partners in Camden Town until the political upheaval is settled. We don’t want to make ourselves a vulnerable target by extending our hand or being found to associate with them at this time.” A brief pause as he took a sip of his coffee, suede shoes scuffing the pebbles on the sidewalk as he sandwiched himself onto the train. It wasn’t his preferred mode of transportation, but his car was in the shop and his brother, John, had dropped the ball on solidifying a rental car. It was the last time he trusted John with something important.
He was the only one deep in conversation as he held onto the railing overhead, nose tucked into the endless stream of emails he was replying to and the ranting in his ears from the treasurer of his company.
“No, No, Pol, you're not listening. Look at the numbers. We can stand to lose 3% for a week or two max… yes, yes I have it on good authority that whatever this is, it won’t last longer than that before the strike is broken.” He sighed, glaring at the people around him whose noses were upturned by his disruption. Who expected a train ride to or from work to be the most peaceful part of their day?
“I have it on good authority from Ada!”
The train pulled into his stop. Signals that the doors were opening rang out. Still heated, he moved to leave. She moved in a blur of color, in a hurry to get somewhere. It was that urgency which sent her out barreling into his chest, piping hot coffee staining his white shirt.
“Fuck.”
“Oh my, I’m…I’m so sorry.”
“Pol, I’ll call you back.”
If he put weight on the superstitions his aunt believed, he’d think it was going to be a day full of bad luck, karma.
Hanging up the phone, he put it in his jacket pocket, a sneer on his face as he looked down at his stained shirt, the coffee seeping through the fabric and leaving his abdomen warm to the touch. It was amazing that he had enough time to stop, to stop and look at his assailant. She was pretty in a natural way, not like the other city girls with their fake tans and fake eyelashes and fake tits. Her hair was shiny, her eyes aglow, her cheeks blazing red with embarrassment.
She was like a little mouse, grabbing for some napkins from her big purse on her shoulder, cautiously trying to wipe up the coffee on his shirt. Normally he’d tell her who he was, some big businessman who didn’t have time for these games, but it was almost more fascinating to watch her act, so unsure as she touched his shirt with the napkins, pressing lighting against his abdomen, his chest. Her touches were light, whether she was afraid to break him further or nervous to be touching him in the first place, he wasn’t sure.
“I… I am really sorry,” she finally said again, tossing the coffee-soaked napkins in the bin. “I… I don’t have anymore. I… I really should’ve watched where I was going.” “It’s alright. The damage’s done. I’ll send it off to the dry cleaner and it’ll be good as new.” He tried to smile at her, to let her know he didn’t care about his shirt, he had a closet full of them, but something kept him from doing so. Maybe the fact that he hadn’t smiled in years. He tried to tell her it wasn’t her fault, he knew it was his because he hadn’t been looking around him, but he wasn’t used to public transportation and he wasn’t used to people not stepping out of the way for him when he walked by. So instead, he kept his mouth shut, pink lips in a tight line, lost in her eyes, before he felt his phone buzzing to life.
How peaceful those few moments had been.
“I’m late. And I’ll be even later having to stop, I… hope your not late either. Here, have a coffee on me. For the trouble.”
After handing her a few pounds, he answered the phone with a gruff greeting and disappeared.
--
It’d be much easier if you had a phone. Easier to find out who the mystery man from the other day was. You spent all night telling your sister about him, voices dropping extra low when you told her about helping wipe his shirt clean.
“It was hard, tight, like muscles. And I tried not to concentrate on it, really, but it was easier to concentrate on that than his eyes. A blue like the sky. Like I’ve never seen, hair dark as midnight.”
Although she hadn’t met him, your sister swooned with you over the whole thing, wondering how, if there was any, way for you two to find out his name, what he did for a living, where you could “accidentally” run into him again.
But that night was all “what-ifs” and little girl fantasies. Yesterday was a moment you could hold onto while you were busy at work, sifting the flour in the kitchen, elbow-deep in it as you rolled out the dough.
You didn’t need a phone, it wasn't necessary, nor was electricity when you had a fire to cook on and light your way with. It was a lifestyle you’d grown up with, you were used to, you had chosen to live, and you hadn’t once thought differently until now.
That night, you dreamt about your encounter with tall, dark, and handsome, as he was therefore known as in your mind. As much as you wanted to see him again, as easy as it was to remember his eyes and his hair, it was impossible to ignore how he lacked a smile, head bent and far too enraptured and controlled by the little device in his hand, or was it his ear? Thinking back on it clearly, the buzz of everything around him was what caused him to be so careless around you in the first place. And just like that, you drifted off to sleep with memories that turned into nightmares confirming that it was not only too good to be true, running into him that day but it wasn’t meant to be, it wasn’t ever meant to be.
--
“I can’t find her!” He brought his fist down onto his desktop with hammer-like force. Such an outbreak wasn’t uncommon for Thomas Shelby, but the matter in which it was about was shocking to those around him. His family.
“Tom, we’ve had the best internet hackers on call, working twenty-four hours at a time. We even got some secret service agents from the police tracking what you’ve told them through their database. Nothing.”
“It’s not enough. There’s got to be something else. They want more money? Give them whatever they’re asking for, I want her found.”
His men simply nodded and left, his Aunt Pol crossing her legs and making her disapproval known with her tsking.
“It doesn't take someone like me to know you in love. But I thought Mr. Thomas Shelby didn’t believe in love at first sight?”
“There was something about her Polly. I don’t expect you to understand.”
“Oh, but I do Tommy. I do. Love is magnetic, I’ve told you that since you were little. You just chose never to listen. And now that you have, the world has rewarded you with a challenge. A girl who can’t be found.”
“Don’t mock me.” He had risen from his leather-backed chair to pace. His office was spacious, on the tallest floor of the most well-known building in London, towering over the others, the wall nothing but windows that allowed him an endless view of the city, even to the fields beyond. The whole city under his watch and he couldn’t find the one person he wanted to see. He’d paced to get his mind straight but it didn’t work. Quickly, he was sitting back down behind four computer screens that lined his desk, projecting his work onto the flat screens on the wall. The wall to his left was lined with clocks synced up to represent all the timezones of the world, multiple tv screens muted to show the horseraces around the world and the stock market live. The office was always lit in a dim glow from the screens, a soft buzz from the electricity, and somehow it never bothered him. It kept his mind busy, sure, constantly busy, his eyes switching frantically from screen to screen trying to focus on only one thing.
Since meeting her, finding her was the only thing he could focus on. And Polly was right, she didn’t seem to want to be found.
With the best people he could hire already on it, he figured some fresh air could do him good. When he informed Polly he was going out for coffee, and she reminded him they had people for that, she didn’t prod any further.
Down on the ground floor, he nodded towards the security behind the desk, and the doormen, and headed onto the street in one direction, any direction the wind seemed to take him (there was a coffee shop on every block), but he seemed to end up at the one he went to that day he was taking the train. Something about their fresh ground beans. Tapping his feet anxiously while standing in line, it made sense why he employed someone to do this for him. He passed the time by catching up on emails, shoving his AirPods in to listen to the live race at Cheltenham to avoid the elevator-esque music playing from the shop’s speakers.
He wasn’t really paying attention then, taking a second to realize the line had moved. He ordered the usual; coffee, black, and waited where one picked it up. It was all a series of routine things that came next, listening for his name, taking that first sip to make sure it was right, shuffling around other waiting customers to get back outside. His nose still buried in the phone, he would have missed her completely had he not learned from his mistake the other day and looked up before crossing the street.
She seemed to be leaving the coffee shop from the back, heading in the direction that led out of the city. He had work to do, he knew that, but the business would run without him. If that little glimpse he’d caught of her held up to be real, he’d save himself a lot of money.
“Hey,” he called, taking a bit of a jog to catch up to her.
Not sure if that hey was directed at you, you stopped, and looked around you, before continuing on your journey home. You must have been going a little crazy, no one this far out from the country knew you, were even less likely to recognize you.
The coffee cup worked to warm your hands. You smiled, pleased to hear the city’s symphony as you headed home. It was all part of the reason why you agreed to deliver the beans to your best customer; while it came with an excruciatingly long walk, you were awarded the sights and sounds of the city, the excitement of it all, and a fresh cup.
“Hey!”
It was the same voice as before, and you would have continued to ignore it had you not felt a strong arm grasp your elbow, making you stop in your tracks. Your heartbeat quickened. This was why your father always warned against you doing the delivery on your own, but you’d fought with him more than once that you could handle yourself in the city for an hour or two.
Now was time to show him the truth.
In a quick maneuver, you dodged the stranger, turning quickly and shoving him back with your shoulder, hearing the familiar sound of coffee sippling as it was dropped to the floor. Ready to run, you caught a glimpse of your attacker before running. What were the odds it would be your Mr. tall, dark, and handsome?
He didn’t look amused, but he didn’t look as displeased as yesterday. He almost looked pleased.
You smirked. “You’ve got to stop wearing your coffee. You're supposed to drink it.”
“I’d be able to if you stopped spilling it on me. I think you have something against me.”
You both shared a smile, a true smile, before your eyes both scanned down to his torso, today’s blue shirt now dark with coffee on it.
“I’m so sorry.”
“Don’t worry about it, I’ll send this one to the cleaners just like the others. I should be scared of you though, that was some quick thinking.”
You blushed, suddenly feeling so small and so seen in the city, a place you certainly didn’t belong but tried to.
“What can I say? My dad taught me right.”
“That he did.” Tommy used the napkins in his jacket pocket to wipe up his shirt enough to keep from burning his skin underneath, and it provided just enough time to figure out how to get you to stay longer.
“Why don’t I treat you to another?”
“No, I couldn’t. I… I wish I could treat you to one but…” Well how were you supposed to tell someone like him you didn’t have any money on you?
“Come on, my treat…”
Knowing your family would be wondering where you were, you couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get to know him a little more. You agreed, and he told you he’d be ready to go as soon as he changed his newly ruined shirt, assuring you he had an extra in his office and it was only one block away.
What were you doing following this man to his office? Everything in the building was shiny and new, reluctantly following him into the elevator. It never seemed to stop, crawling higher and higher until the final ding signaling you were at your destination caused you to jump a bit.
What you stepped into was too much for you to comprehend. It overwhelmed you, so much stimulus in his office with the screens and whatnot. He promised he’d be quick, and you barely noticed his lack of presence as you absorbed the sound and light of everything. The tapping of your foot, the pacing, it was all you could do to try and stay comfortable. You both wanted to know more about how it worked and, more importantly, why, why all this, but you refrained. You couldn’t comprehend a life where one person needed so many screens.
Everything was coming to fruition. It wasn’t meant to be. You were both from two different worlds.
When he emerged in a white collared shirt, pulling at the cuffs and rolling them up, you felt a strong wave of nausea hit you. He must have noticed the unfamiliar look on your face; it was amazing that a complete stranger noticed it almost immediately.
“Is everything alright?”
“Uh..” Opening your mouth to respond, you were suddenly made aware of just how dry it was. “Uh.. what do you need all those for?” You hoped it didn’t sound as rude coming out as it did in your head, but you couldn’t resist finding the answer, knowing more about him, more about a life you weren’t sure you would ever be ready for.
“Oh, those?” He chucked. “Sometimes I forget they’re even there. I need them for business, I can’t be in multiple places at once, though it would be easier.”
Silence lingered as you tried to compose a response, a silence that was anything but silent. You shook your head.
“I’m sorry. I… I hadn’t noticed the time and I forgot I’ve got somewhere to be.”
“Oh, are you sure? Well, how about another night?”
“I… I don’t know. Maybe,” you swallowed, stepping away from the harsh glow of the screen.
“Wait. Your name. Please tell me your name.”
“Y/N Y/L/N.”
Though you left not a mystery but a mission, a challenge for Tommy Shelby, should he choose to accept, to you he remained a mystery. A mystery behind a screen, something for you to ponder as you took approximately 45 flights of stairs down to the ground floor.
-------
“She’s Amish.”
“She’s fucking what?”
“Amish, sir. They’re members of a church that believes electricity is not necessary for leading a fulfilling life, hence why we couldn’t find her online presence.”
“Ok,” he sighed, taking a hit from his vape and blowing the smoke out to the side. “What did you find on her?”
“We have a home location, family profile, and her background records. That’s it.”
“I want it all on my desk. Now. And a car, one that’s not going to shit the bed in the country. Have it parked outside, keys in the ignition to go.”
With a nod, Charlie was out of the office, but Tommy didn’t get much time alone to consider the grandiosity of the plan already forming in his mind.
“A car? Where are you off to?”
“The country Pol. I’ll be in a few hours. Might not have cell service. Don’t contact me… what?” He asked in response to her chuckle, almost a mocking one.
“Tommy Shelby never puts down his phone, nor does he ever stop business. Unless it’s a girl.”
He saw no reason to lie so, sighing, he told the truth and braced for impact. “It is a girl Pol. The one I’ve been looking for. I know where she lives and I’m going to her. I’m going. I barely know her name and I… I know I did something to scare her off but I… I’ve got to find out why, you know? I’ve got to do something to get her out of my head. For good. Whatever it takes.”
He found you outside the address he was given, his black BMW oddly out of place among the wheat and the fields and the barn and the expanse that was known as your house. You were tending to the horses, taking the pony to graze on the taller grass in the side yard, senses on high alert as the unknown vehicle pulled closer and slowed to a stop. Your dad and your brother, everyone in a 3 mile radius became aware of the unwanted visitor, trying to figure out why someone in a car was on their land. It was surprising how unfazed Tommy seemed to be with a few shotguns pointed his direction. His hands flew up in surrendor and if you weren’t sure it was him, the hair, the eyes, the commanding yet comfortable voice reassured you.
“Y/N, do you know this man? He says he knows you.”
“Yes, yes, this is Tommy. He’s a… a friend.” Pulling him away, into the shadows of the maples where the horses were cooling, you asked why he was here and how he had found you. It was a quick explanation from his end that both left you speechless and wanted to know more.
“I want to talk to you.  Why you didn’t agree to going out yesterday?”
“We… we can’t talk here. Do you know how to ride a horse?”
It would have been comical seeing a man like Tommy ride a horse, but really he was a natural. He looked like the main character off a romance novel with his dark hair, dress shirt sleeves rolled up to his elbows, his posture perfect and hands tight on the reigns, in control of the horse. Stopping by a stream, you both dismounted and began talking.
“We would never work Tommy. I.. I barely even know you, you know nothing about me, and yet you show up in my yard. I can only imagine how you found all this out.” You shuddered at the thought alone, holding a hand up signaling you didn’t want to know the intimate details.
“I know it sounds crazy, but I feel this pull. This nagging in my stomach thats saying ‘go after her’. I had to come try. What was it? The office?”
“Well, it was all a bit overwhelming. We’re from different worlds. You live by the screen and I… well we’d never come to a compromise.”
“What if we could.”
“What do you mean?”
“What if we could come to a compromise. Would you give it, would you give us a chance?”
“What kine of compromise?” You asked intrigued.
He shrugged. “Less screen time. Weekend away from work, from the city?”
You shrugged, suddenly feeling shy under his eye. The space between you disappeared as he entered it, toeing a line he wasn’t sure he should cross. He knew your name, where you lived, and a little bit of the lifestyle you lived, that was it, and so he wanted to know more; your favorite color, the taste of your lips, the softness of your curves. And though you were less sure of what you wanted, you wanted the same thing. You wanted it to work out like a fairytale.
“Could this really work?”
“Are we insane?”
“Do I live without electricity?” The question, although rhetorical, gave him the answer he needed. Leaning in, he took all the air from your lungs. His lips found yours, the kiss chaste and soft, strong and loving.
“I’d give up everything for you.”
And there it was. The collision of two worlds, two people in a world of billions, two stars in the galaxy a little too close to each other's orbit, two atoms beginning their journey together headed towards the big bang.

Fruit asks!!
🍉,🍋,🍈, &🍇
Eeeee! Hi Violet. I love you!
🍉: Do you prefer to write short fics or long fics? Multichaptered works or single ones? Why?
Long cuz I don’t know how to shut up and I like to include useless details.
Multi chaptered cuz it creates suspense and drama! And I’m a dramatic ass bitch.
🍋: What's your favorite spicier trope to write?
I haven’t really written spice yet. The ones I have written are used more as plot devices rather than gratuitous. It’ll probably end up being something dom/subby or maybe body worship?
I read somewhere that a lot of (heterosexual) sex is making the girl feel desired and loved and that makes it great for the (heterosexual) man. And I happen to agree with that. I am also paraphrasing that horribly.
🍈: Who's your blorbo and what are some of your favorite headcanons/ideas about them that repeatedly show up in your fics? Free pass to rant about blorbo opinions.
Please feel free to mock but I had to google what a blorbo was as I strictly avoided tumblr until august last year (don’t ask me why I have no idea)
From what google says they’re just characters or celebs I adore and boy are there a lot of them.
Kpop (not in my fics cuz I have so few rn, so I’ll just say my faves to read):
Always either Yoongi as the big bad (grumpy mean) secret softie.
JK in anything where he’s a big powerful man (like CEO etc) who’s hellbent on being the best lay Reader will ever have but then letting only her be the first to soft dom him?
or Joon just being very big and very dominant.
Chan, Felix, San, Jisung, Hyunjin, Hongjoon, the list goes on….
Non Kpop: aha.. ya girlies a YA/ Adult fantasy reader and movie/tv NERD. So to keep the list short:
Rhys, Cassian, Hunt, Cardan, Ruhn, Dorian, Maxon, Thorne, (there’s more here but it’s late I can’t remember them all), Sebastian Stan, actually, far too many men who are in their 40s -> Chris Evans, Hyun Bin, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Shemar Moore, Matthew Gray Gubler, Tom Hiddleston, Eric Dane, Tom Ellis, Ewan McGregor, Charlie Hunnam.. please know that teenage me had MANY phases and all of these men were apart of them in one way or another.
🍇: Is there a particular scene/episode/book/ etc that you want to just write a million fics about, over and over? Which one?
BTS obvi, there was a time in my life where I considered doing it for the Cinder series. Maybe Chan from stray kids? Or something Sarah J Maas related. Just comfort characters and people really.
I don’t really obsess over writing, which why my bio says what it does. But maybe just making up endless scenarios in my head is a better way of putting it. I only ever write when I’m inspired which is why I don’t do it professionally.

Oh boy rambling time.
Okay, so. I'm still thinking about the whole.... Element AU, name pending. The one where Billy spits water.
Anyways feel free to ignore this, uh.
So, like. I'm taking that general but ultimately loose piece of work and inserting it into a Coffee Shop AU. Everyone knows a good ol' coffee shop AU. Fair warning, I'm about to take the characters and pretend it's all fine and dandy.
Steve and Billy are like.. friends, sort of, in this. Billy moved into this town back in high school, as usual, loud and angry and proud, and generally a piece of work. High school basic rivalry and all that. In this AU, everyone gets powers. It's all elemental, basic five elements, whatever. Billy has his water Squirtle powers, Steve gets his plant powers. You would think that it would be beneficial, but no. They loathed each other back then. Billy would drown his plants every single time, and Steve would trip him in the halls.
Time passes, and somehow come to some sort of mutualistic understanding that beating each other up, no matter how fun and cathartic it is, is not gonna work in the long run. Honestly would not be surprised if they had somehow gotten trapped in a landslide, the kind that not even Steve could power his way out of, and had to help each other in order to not die. Some light bonding experience. They get out, begrudgingly get along, and then as they become adults Billy simply... doesn't leave like he's always ranted and raved about. He's got his own personal reasons, somewhere between Max and wanting to continue to bother Steve as long as physically possible. Perhaps even a crush. Who knows.
Regardless they're both still in town, and somewhere in that they end up opening a coffee shop together. Coffee beans are still plants, even if leaves are more common when talking about plants in general. Sure, not Columbian, but it's local grown and Steve's got QUITE the green thumb on him. The place thrives, and they even get to hire other people! How joyous. Even if Steve finds it frankly disgusting every time Billy water guns a cup of joe.
They're making a decent living, Billy lives above the shop, Steve lives somewhere else, privacy and all that. The kids are still very much present in Steve's life, of course. At first, back when Steve was with Nancy, it was more of a 'knowledge by proximity' kind of deal and the kids didn't really bother with him. Sometimes they would ask him things, but nothing personal, more like little fetch quests as little kids tend to do to older folk.
Somewhere in that time the kids became attached, and after Steve helped Dustin when he accidentally exploded his basement after he sneezed thanks to a really weird lizard that he stole out of a trash bin and then proceeded to kick up dust everywhere, the kids just sort of.... Attached to him like stubborn glue and now he can't get rid of them. Even if they're all much older now and technically don't even need him anymore. Especially now with the addition of Max, who had to deal with Steve because Steve deals with Billy and the Party. Again, association by proximity. Nowadays she just huddles in the corner of the shop doing Max things. Occasionally even brings along Jane and Lucas.
Robin is still very much a piece of Steve's ever so wonderful history, but just for funsies they're actually childhood besties. Known each other since forever, the kind of friends that parents would coo at on the playground because 'Oh look honey, that girl's already got herself a boyfriend!'
Those kinds. They're still 100% Platonic Capital P. Robin's gay awakening was in fact in Steve's proximity, Steve immediately teased her for it because she deserves standards, and have been sewn at the hips ever since. Robin has air powers, which mostly translates to Robin occasionally flying. You know. Like a robin. Tweet tweet motherducker.
It also translates to even more benefits for them, because Robin can pollinate Steve's plants (And occasionally just Steve), and Steve can make quite a beautiful leaves/petals falling scene. Yay, mutualism.
Back to coffee shop AU. So. They've been there for a good while, and then someone buys the empty building next to them. Before, it was some noodle shop, before someone was caught putting malachite in the soup (Why I cannot say) and before that it was a flower shop. During those times Steve visited a whole lot, half because he was in his element (literally) and half because he spent his time researching the best ways to not have to magically feed his coffee plant every time by seeing how people kept flowers alive. Then they moved away, so that was a grade A bummer.
Lo and behold, here comes Eddie Munson to the scene. He didn't buy the place, he simply just works there. The building gets spruced up into essentially a gaming cafe. Oooh, how fancy. They don't really sell food, it's the kind that people come and play games. This is all set in a somewhat modern universe, so most of the time it's being used for the computer. Perhaps playing Club Penguin. There's also board games galore, and of course in the back Eddie's got his own space for DnD campaigning.
Eddie's little 'dungeon', as he likes to call it, actually changes decor based on what campaign he's DM-ing. The only consistent part of it is the candles and torches. As a fire elemental he finds the flickering of it sort of soothing and quite immersive at times, able to make them dim and flare at his command. Hell, sometimes just for fun they're scented, really get the scene going.
For a while the two shops don't really bother each other, other than the first time when Steve and Billy checked out the new place after Dustin got really excited over a new hangout spot, especially one so close to Steve. Other than that, the two were allowed to hang on their own.
It doesn't mean it remains that way forever. No. Eddie started pulling all-nighters in preparation for his campaign, planning and setting everything up, and caffeine was his solution to not drooling all over his notebooks.
Eddie really does do his best holding back that same drool when his gay little heart catches the boys next door. Yay, fun times, romance woohoo.
Heading onto other characters. Argyle obviously also has plant powers, but the only thing that man grows is mushrooms, weed, and occasionally really huge sunflowers because sunflowers are hilarious when experienced. He can grow other things, like every plant elemental can, he just doesn't. Happy to stick to simple things and sunflowers. He works at his beloved Surfer's Pizza, having a grand ol' time.
Chrissy is an air elemental user like Robin, and also like Robin uses it to fly. Eddie, a long time friend of hers, likes to joke that given enough time Chrissy could float away like a feather or a spiderling off on an adventure. She works at a gym, teaching kids nifty tricks and runs a cheerleading program there.
I'm honestly a little hung up on what Nancy would be. Fire would be good, she's got the independent and headstrong role to her, but also water type Nancy has some appeal to me too. Calm, deliberate, gets into everything given enough time.
Jonathan seems like a plant type person too, a Mother Nature kind of thing. I feel like the entire Byers family gives off that plant kind of vibe, but at the same time no. Like Joyce could be plant based, but a determined sort of fire user Joyce but in that warm, hearth way makes me happy. A Joyce that exudes comfort no matter what, but has a protective streak when it comes to people she loves.
Uhhh... So, elements. Elements. They probably sprout out at around.... Age 10 or so? Perhaps it comes with the joys and horrors of puberty? They would reasonably need to be at an age that they understand at a basic level what to expect and able to control to an extent, because giving a baby fire powers is generally not ideal. Maybe, as a kid they show signs of an affinity to a certain element, maybe manifest minor side effects that are just a part of their DNA. Like fire babies are generally much warmer, water babies kind of need to be hydrated more and somehow are slick to the touch (Hydrodynamics?) earth babies are happier on the ground then in someone's arms, and so on. But outside of that, nobody can truly tell, because babies are in generally kind of weird while Steve left snacks Steve again entertain each other.
Anyways, Billy keeps writing Eddie's name wrong on purpose, Steve somehow keeps writing Empty for Eddie, despite the cup not being empty.
I'm tired, I'll ramble some other time.

Late Night Confessional
Relationship: Natasha Romanoff x Reader Warnings: N/A Summary: (slight) Neighbors!AU - After you come back from yet another bad date, some fluffy romantic confessionals occur between you and your neighbor. (Based off the prompt: Person A: “What would you say if I told you I was in love with you?” Person B: “That you have terrible tastes.”) A/N: Surprise, happy pride month - I write wlw, too, because I am, in fact, consider myself to be sapphic (or wlw or however you’d condier it ) :) p.s. this is an older piece of writing but i still enjoy it and wanna write more of this nature
Masterlist
"Shit," you muttered as your heel got caught in a crack in the sidewalk. Furiously, you pried off the obnoxious heels and decided trucking back home barefoot was the best option. If that was what was going to get rid of any other annoyances tonight, then so be it. You were absolutely over it.
Everything had started out fine — which was what got you — but shit turned south once he opened his mouth. He was a date you had met on one of those dating apps. You couldn’t remember which one since they’ve all just started blending together from the obsessive swiping and small talk.
With him, though, it didn’t seem so bad at first. You two texted for a few weeks and seemed to really vibe with one another. Even when you first sat down at the bar, you thought for a second this could work well.
Then he started to get handsy — drunk and handsy. In your experience, it was never a good combination and you kicked yourself for not seeing how it was going to go once he started throwing back drinks. It happened very quickly and right there in the bar. It made you want to pull your hair out.
You felt you had been so blind. What man strung a girl on for almost a month just to be hunting down a quick lay? This man — and he might as well have just admitted it to you. He liked the chase. He liked the resistance with you, he admitted when his hand began to wander. You had been a hard one to "reel in" and at that comment, you pushed him off the stool and marched out of the bar.
It didn’t make sense, but what could you do about it anymore? All that was left was to march back to your apartment, pour a hefty glass of wine, and indulge in a long bubble bath. Maybe relationships weren’t your thing, maybe love needed to take a back seat, you contemplated.
You let out a sigh of relief once you made it to your apartment building. You were suddenly overly thankful you had set up the date at a bar close to you.
After punching in the entry code, you made your way up the stairs still barefoot. Concentrated on not stepping on any trash or scraps, you didn’t see someone at the top of the landing. Unexpectedly, you collided, both of you fumbling backwards a bit. You heard a basket hit the ground as your shoes landed on the stairs with an unpleasant bang.
"Jesus, I’m so-," you began, fumbling for your shoes, as your eyes registered the person you ran into. It was was your neighbor and, arguably, best friend Natasha. She looked a bit exhausted herself. Her hair was in shambles and she wore pajamas — not something you quite always saw her in. She was usually much more together during the day so this get-up always made you chuckle. "Sorry, Nat, seriously didn’t see you there."
She smiled back, collecting her laundry back into the bin, "You end up going blind tonight, hon?"
You shook your head, playfully rolling your eyes. Scoffing, you said, "That’d be the cherry on top tonight."
Natasha looked back at you with a frown. She took in your appearance — knee-length flowy dress, pantyhose, jean jacket, and barefoot with heels dangling in your hand.
"Date went sour?" She asked, a hint of actual wonder in her voice. That was what you loved about her. Not only was she a good (quiet) neighbor, she was also a… friend. Yeah, a friend. She didn’t make your heart jump or stomach do backflips with the looks she’d shoot you. She certainly didn’t make you blush when she actually took interest in your problems or interests. It was just friendly.
You nodded, "He buttered me up for almost a month just to try to get me in bed. Scores points for dedication, I guess."
Natasha picked up her laundry and motioned for you to follow her. You made your way, shoulder-to-shoulder, suppressing any other thoughts, to her apartment. Unlocking it, you followed her to her living room where you could finally sit and relax your feet. Natasha stood by the side table, folding the laundry.
"Did he at least buy your drinks?" Natasha asked.
You laughed, "Nope."
She rolled her eyes as she threw a folded t-shirt on the coffee table.
"Was there any conversation?"
"At first," you shrugged. "It turned unbearable pretty fast. He was such a great guy in text messages, though, that’s what I cannot get over."
She finished up folding the basic stuff like t-shirts and jeans and abandoned the rest to come sit next to you on the couch. It was such a sudden movement your heart nearly jumped.
"Well," Natasha began, getting situated on the couch. She sat criss-cross with her back to the other couch arm, facing you. You shifted in your seat to copy her stance. "Men can be super weird — hell, anyone can be super weird — but, at least you tried it. You seem very persistent when it comes to dating."
You felt yourself blushing as Natasha gave you her world-famous knowing smirk. She knew you too well. She’d seen you after nearly every date that went down the drain. She sat through the rants and wine nights offering something to you and each time, feelings kept building. But it could never — could it?
You started playing with your fingers and averted your gaze to the leather couch, praying she didn’t pick up any signs even though that was impossible. The woman was trained. She was one hell of a superhero — not to even mention her lengthy past — she knew what you were doing, but didn’t give any notions of it.
"Yeah, well, it may be time I give it up for a bit,"
The words even just leaving your mouth stung. You didn’t want to give it up — you just wanted something that appeared forbidden. No woman you went out with and certainly no man you ever encountered could compare to the red-head staring at you.
"Well," Natasha sighed, her gaze averting to her kitchen. "What would you say if I told you I was in love with you?"
Time froze. Your focus on the couch got more intense. Your heart dropped a hundred floors. You didn’t even know if you could properly move. She didn’t say that — did she? Are you just imagining what you wanted to hear? It was a joke, right? It was a joke. Just a nice little fib, two besties playing around, you decided.
Composing yourself the best you could, with a shaky voice you tried to casually respond, "That you have terrible taste."
You thew in a chuckle at the end, trying to show you knew it was a joke and that you could play along — but Natasha’s look didn’t match that. Her gaze came back to you, jaw slightly dropped. She readjusted herself to sit up straight, taking a much more serious position.
"Y/N, I’m serious," she said, carefully, enunciating every letter it felt like. Her eyes were so strong, it pulled you almost. Her tone was one with her — serious and never shifting.
She… she had. She had done that and it wasn’t a stupid prank or something. Someone actually good and caring in this world was taking an interest in you. Fuck, she loved you and you loved her… but you hadn’t said it yet. Oh shit, you hadn’t said a substantial word yet. Natasha was starting to get uncomfortable with the stunned silence but just as she was about to ask you to leave, your brain found your voice.
"I love you," you blurted out with all the force you could muster. Gosh, you hadn’t even admitted that to yourself but it was true. It felt good to say, good to accept. Of course you loved her. She’d stay up with you gossiping or discussing another crappy man from Tinder. You two had regular Sunday brunches at the pancake house down the street neither of you dared to miss. She’d indulge in your interests, watching the twinkle in your eyes while you’d be there ready to set out for whatever new adventure she wanted to take. Heck, she even managed to drag you camping — you hated camping but you loved her and that was all that mattered. You spent so much time hunting the web for your soulmate when really she just lived across the hall.
"You- you mean that?" Natasha’s voice was suddenly so soft. You had never heard her like this. She seemed… nervous. Soft and nervous. She was just as unsure as you were and that was understandable.
"Yeah," You chuckled, a smile playing at your lips. "I do mean it. I love you. I- I think I have for a while."
Natasha spent a second looking for any hints of lying before quickly placing her lips on yours. The movement came at you so fast, you both nearly fell off the couch, but once your brain registered, your lips moved like they belonged. She gripped your waist as the passion in the kiss drove up. Your arms found their way around her neck, your hands playing with strings of her hair.
She broke away for a second and whispered, very much out of breath, "I love you. I’ve always loved you."
You chuckled and whispered it right back. The passion matched the kiss and you pulled her down, sinking into the couch, hands wandering recklessly.

BTS Reaction || He Walks Out In A Fight [Request]
Tumblr media
A/N: I tried to give them all different tropes/AU’s so that it could be different from my other works! I have a mixture of angsty endings and fluffy endings! Sorry guys no part 2 💞💕
SEOKJIN: (Non Idol Au)
Jin stared at you as you accused him of once again cheating on you, his phone was in your hand unlocked but he just stared at you. He knew for a fact that he had nothing to hide from you, that he would never cheat on you since you were the love of his life but no matter what you found a way to say he was cheating. Finding girls names in his contacts and not believing that they were people from work, messages from girls you'd never heard of before all messaging him and asking him questions about his day with flirty suggestive comments attached to them.
"You have guys in your messages, do you see me kicking off like this?" He asked calmly as he stared at you, you shook your head at him.
"I tell them I've got a boyfriend unlike you. You just thank them and then give them a compliment!" You yelled out, throwing his phone in his direction as he caught it, looking at the messages to a girl he was supposedly cheating on you with. "Ashley" a guy friend from work who he was going out for a drink with that weekend,
"You're going out for a drink with her, so tell me. What's she like? Is she pretty?" Jin groaned as you continued to yell out questions about someone called Ashley who you were convinced was a girl when in actual reality he was the newest member of Jin's work.
"She's a he and we're going to get drinks with work buddies. You're reading too much into this," He was starting to feel defeated as he stared at you but you shook your head. Adamant that he was cheating on you so you just stared at him.
"It's fine if you want to sleep with other people Jin, I already slept with your best friend." Jin's mouth fell open as he stared at you dumbfounded that you would just openly admit to cheating on him when you had just been ranting and raving about him messaging someone else.
"Un-fucking-believable," He grumbled as he began walking out of the house but you followed him over to his car,
"Not nice when it's the other way around is it?!" You snapped as he got into the car and started up his engine,
"The difference is Y/n, I never cheated." He drove out of the drive way and off into the night, going to stay at a friends place while he cleared his head from you.
Tumblr media
YOONGI: (Reader is a Rich CEO)
There was no secret that your relationship with Yoongi wasn't always perfect, every small fight and debate between the two of you were splashed around the headlines since you were a famous CEO which meant cameras followed you everywhere you went. Including secret spending sprees when you told Yoongi that you had an important business meeting instead of a shopping spree.
"I don't see the big deal with going shopping, it's my money." It was true that you could do whatever you wanted with your money but that wasn't what Yoongi was mad about. He was angry at the fact that you had once again lied to him about where you had been and it was starting to get on his nerves.
"I've been at home waiting for you, the least you could have done was called." He snapped at you, making you roll your eyes as you shook your head at him.
"I'm too tired for this fight, can we just drop it?" You moaned as you sat down on the sofa waiting for this all to be over but Yoongi wasn't going to drop it this easily.
"All you do is spend, spend, spend your money! Do you know the only thing you don't do? You never want to spend time with me. We could have had a nice day out but you never bother to!" You rolled your eyes standing up suddenly,
"Do you have any idea how much of a bitch you sound right now?" The words flew out before you even had time to process what you were saying and Yoongi stared at you a little shocked,
"You're just jealous because I earn more money than you'll ever make in four years. So yes! I went out and I spent money on myself because I fucking earned it! What's wrong? I didn't spend my money on you?" Yoongi grabbed his coat from the coat rack and you stormed after him, telling him not to walk out of the door or things would be over for good.
"Great! Then I won't have to deal with you anymore," He yelled at you as you stared back at him just as shocked as he had been when you bought up the fact that you earned more money than him.  You knew it was his biggest insecurity while he was with you, all of the media portrayed him as a money-grabbing man and he was now sure that you felt the same way.
"You're unbelievable," He told you before walking out of the door, shutting it behind him as he began his walk into the town not wanting to take the car that you'd bought for him.
The media was all over the breakup within days of it happening, everyone taking his side instead of yours as news broke out about what you had said to him in the midst of your fight. It was made clear that Yoongi wasn't going to go back to you even if you begged him to.
Tumblr media
HOSEOK: (Non idol AU)
"We have to talk about this," Hoseok said as he stared at you, you were sitting across from him in your kitchen, a positive pregnancy test laid out in front of him as he glanced to and from it.
"Talk about what?" You whispered as you looked back at Hoseok, you'd hoped when you told him you were pregnant you would be overcome with a wave of relief but you weren't, it only made you worry more and more about it. You'd gone through everything in your head, neither of you was ready to bring a child into the world. Neither of you earned enough to support three people and there was no way the tiny apartment you were living in would be big enough for you two and a growing child.
"We're too young for this," You shook your head, sliding the test into the bin as you pulled out some papers on adoption, it was the one thing you'd had on your mind since finding out you were pregnant.
"You want to give our baby away?" His question was laced with venom and you shook your head,
"We could give a family a new start, someone that's been wanting kids for a while could finally have one." You tried to explain it but Hoseok wasn't listening to reason he began shaking his head, telling you that he wanted to keep the child with you and him.
"We can be a family-"
"We aren't ready Hoseok! You still act like an immature child! We don't even own a place or car big enough to grow a family. Can't you see this is for the better," You had tears running down your cheeks but Hoseok was shaking his head, all he could hear was how you'd called him an immature child.
"I can provide for us all, I'll give us a good life-"
"I would love to keep them with you but With what? We don't earn enough, we're still too young for this Hobi." But he shook his head at you again, getting up and heading to the door. Further proving your point that he acted like a child whenever he could get his own way.
"Just walk away like you always do," You mumbled as he slammed the door behind himself.
A month later Hoseok showed up at your doorstep, flowers in hand with a box.
"Is this your way of proposing?" You asked unimpressed as you stared at him, the two of you had only been in contact over text messages and neglected to bring up the pregnancy conversation with one another. This was the first time you'd seen him face to face since the fight.
"Open the box." He sighed putting the flowers down on your counter and watching as you opened the box, frowning when you saw two sets of keys inside.
"What's this?" You pulled them out and Hoseok smiled,
"The first is the key to our new minivan and the second is the key to our new place...A house...Somewhere we can raise our little one together...If you want to." Your eyes lit up as you stared at Hoseok wondering how he'd gotten all of this in such a short amount of time.
"I've had the house for a while...I-I'd been doing it up and so I took some paid holidays and finished it. The car is on finance but with my promotion, we can do this." All you did was lean forward and kiss him deeply.

NAMJOON: (Mafia AU)
"Where have you been? I've been calling you all night long!" Namjoon called out as you walked through the door, all night? It wasn't even 5 pm yet. You dropped the bag you'd carried home from work and sighed as he rushed to your sighed, watching you closely.
"I had a meeting, it ran late. I text you." You whined, hanging up your shoes and coat, not ready for the same long and boring speech that he always gave to you whenever you were late or not somewhere he could see you.
"You could have gotten hurt, someone could have hurt you." He panicked, taking your face in his hands and turning it in different directions so he could see if you had been hurt or if you were even really you. Lately, he'd been more paranoid than usual and it was starting to bug you with the constant questioning about where you were every minute of every day.
"I'm fine. I got a ride home with Jimin, Joonie I'm fine." You got out of his grasp and headed towards the kitchen, wanting to get a strong drink if you were going to have to go through the speech about you needing a guard around you. Namjoon was in business with the Mafia and he was dating you which meant you were a walking target, anybody could decide to grab you at any point in time but you didn't want a guard, you didn't want to be protected all of the time.
"I don't need someone telling me when and where I can't do or go somewhere Namjoon!" You finally snapped as he brought up the idea of a guard once again. The glass was smashed onto the table as you slammed it down too hard and you let out a hiss as you saw some blood coming from a small cut. Namjoon instantly went into panic mode, grabbing onto you and trying to force you to go to the hospital but you backed away from him wanting to scream out.
"You're so fucking overprotective! Leave me alone! I am fine!" You screamed as you finally reached your breaking point, Namjoon stared at you in silence as he waited to see if you were serious.
"I'm overprotective?"
"Yes! You never let me do anything, do you know how pathetic it is?!" That was all it took, he walked out of the house leaving you in complete silence and on your own as he went to clear his head.
Namjoon came back to the house the next day to find you curled up in his bed wearing one of his shirts, tear stains down your face.
"Babe?" He frowned as he walked over to you, dropping his keys onto the counter thinking something was wrong but as soon as you heard him you jumped up. Running over as you wrapped your arms around his neck, begging him not to leave you like that again.
"What happened?" He asked as he pulled away, holding your face as he looked into your eyes ready to kill whoever had hurt you but you shook your head.
"I-I just realised why you're so protective...I-I should have been more considerate...Last night I couldn't eat or sleep because you weren't here," You began crying again but all he did was wrap his arms around you, kissing the top of your head whispering that he was never going to leave you again while you told him over and over again how sorry you were for what you had said to him.
Tumblr media
JIMIN: (Vampire AU)
"I don't want you to spend time with him, why is that a problem?" Jimin questioned as he stared at you, you were staring back at him while shaking your head.
"Because you're acting like a jealous teenager," You mumbled, folding your arms over your chest as you raised your eyebrows at your boyfriend who was being a jealous, overprotective and possessive boyfriend.
"I am a teenager," You sprinted over to him with your vampiric speed and tilted your head to the side,
"We're both 248 years old...How do you work that out," The two of you had been together for almost 222 years, both of you had changed into vampires when you were 26-years old after almost dying in a terrible accident. A doctor decided to change you both at the same time and took you in as his own, now you were acting as young as you could get away with. Ageing in different towns. Currently, you were portraying 18-years-old in a college together as a couple.
"It's just a study session with Justin, he needs my help in biology," You reassured Jimin that there was nothing going on between you and Justin but Jimin didn't see it the way you did. He saw Justin as a threat, he was younger than both of you and human...What if you decided you wanted to be with Justin instead and changed him into one of you or worse. What if Justin found out what you were and threatened to expose you to everyone? Jimin's grip tightened on you and you stared at him,
"I'll be fine," A car honked from outside the library and you looked out of the window, Justin was there waiting for you.
"Don't go. You don't know him! He could hurt you," You rolled your eyes at Jimin before shaking your head,
"You're so possessive and jealous, it's boring Jimin!" In all your years of being together, you'd never once called him boring or possessive or jealous and it hurt to know that's how you felt about him. As if you could see the dials turning in his head you tried to tell him you didn't mean it but he'd already run out of the building in the blink of an eye leaving you alone there.
Jimin could sense there was something wrong the second you walked through the door and it wasn't because you had blood on your shirt which he knew for a fact wasn't yours since you didn't bleed.
"What happened?" He rushed to your side holding your face as you stared at him,
"He knew. He knew about what we were...I-I had to take care of it," You mumbled as you dropped a bag down onto the floor, Jimin already knew what was inside from the smell of blood coming to his nose as he looked at it before looking back at you.
"I should have listened to you...You're always right," You mumbled as you told Jimin you both needed to get out of the city and fast since you didn't know if Justin had already told people what he knew or not. Luckily for you and Jimin it was just the two of you on the run, if you were with the rest of your family it would have been a lot harder.

TAEHYUNG: ( Friends with benefits trope)
It hadn't meant to come out this way, you and Taehyung were just supposed to be sex buddies but on what planet did that ever actually work out? None was the answer. It was a dumb idea to have if you thought it was ever going to work,
"I told you I didn't want a relationship when we started this, what's the big deal?" You questioned as Taehyung began rushing around to find his clothes you'd torn off him earlier that night. He let out a tut as he shook his head disapprovingly at you,
"I thought maybe you'd changed your mind, maybe you'd grown a heart and decided to let someone love you!" You rolled your eyes at him as if this was some sort of romantic movie or novel that would result in you loving one another.
"We're friends! Nothing will change that," You tried to tell him but he just scoffed at you not wanting to listen to it all over again,
"Last time I checked, friends don't fuck each other the way we do," You shook your head at him,
"You're unbelievable! How could you think I would ever love you like that?!" The world seemed to stop moving and you were left staring at one another from across your bedroom floor. Taehyung's eyes were red as he started to cry but you didn't feel guilt. You told him from the start that you didn't want to deal with the emotions of being in a relationship, that what was going on between you was just sex.
"Did you really just say that?" Tears rolled down his cheeks as he waited for you to answer him,
"It's just sex. I don't like you like that," He nodded his head as he dressed himself, walking out of the apartment and slamming the door so hard your picture frame fell off the wall and smashed onto the floor leaving you to stare at it as he stormed off.
Four months later you were walking around the mall with some friends when you bumped into Taehyung with a group of his friends, you locked eyes with one another and you didn't know if you should have waved or kept your head down but Taehyung answered it for you. Turning his face away from you and talking with the guys as though he hadn't even seen you standing there in front of him, you couldn't blame him after what you'd said to him though so you just kept walking, not looking over your shoulder.

JUNGKOOK: ( Idol x Reader)
You sighed as Jungkook continued to yell at you for going out when he specifically told you not to, it wasn't as though he was keeping you in the house all of the time or being overly protective of you. That weekend he had plans to spend the entire time with you, wanting to be alone for a while instead of with the boys or your friends but you'd snuck out the night before and didn't come back until the early hours. Still drunk as you stood across from Jungkook in the living room,
"Can you stop yelling? I have a headache," You mumbled to him wanting nothing more than to head up to your bed and forget the night before even happened.
"This was the first time we would have been alone together in a while, can you blame me for missing you?" Your back was turned to him so he didn't see you roll your eyes at the statement so you just walked up the stairs to the bedroom, falling down onto the mattress as you let out a huge sigh.
"I just want to sleep," You moaned at him, rolling over so your head was buried between the pillows and the sunlight wasn't hurting your eyes anymore,
"Didn't you miss me?" You stayed silent as Jungkook questioned you, walking back into the room with a sad expression written across his face. He figured you must have missed him as much as he missed you during the week, you hardly got to see one another thanks to his busy schedule at the studios.
"It's just like when you go on tour. It's no big deal. I'm used to it," You drunkenly mumbled into the pillow, closing your eyes as you saw no problem with what you had said but to Jungkook it felt as though you'd taken his heart from his chest and stomped it into the ground.
"You don't miss me? Do you even love me?" You let out a groan at his question, rolling over to face him. He had tears running down his cheeks as he stared at you, waiting for you to answer him he had fears running around his head at what you might say but nothing could have prepared him for it.
"Do you have any idea how fucking clingy you sound right now?" You grumbled before laying back down, staring at the ceiling while Jungkook stormed out of the room. Slamming the door behind him as he headed into the spare bedroom for the night, he'd heard enough from you.
The next morning when you finally emerged from the bedroom you found Jungkook sitting in the living room eating lunch on his own,
"Morning baby, what time did I come in?" You questioned tiredly as you sat down beside him, attempting to cuddle up beside him but he shifted away from your touch.
"Babe?" You frowned looking at him as he continued to stare at the screen that had some old sit-com running instead of at you. You went to touch his arm but he got up,
"I don't want to be too clingy for you." He snapped and that was when it hit you. Memories of the night before came flooding back to you as you groaned at him.
"J-Jungkook, I didn't mean it, I was drunk-"
"Drunk words are sober thoughts," He snapped before heading into the kitchen to clean up but you weren't going to let him get away with that, you just rushed over to him. Wrapping your arms around him from behind and burying your face in his back,
"I know you're going away s-soon...I was pushing you away so I wouldn't feel so hurt when you go on tour," You explained your backwards way of thinking and you felt Jungkook's body physically relax as he realised you weren't serious the night before.
"It was dumb and I should have said something to you instead of just acting like a bitch," He nodded in agreement, letting you say everything you needed to say before the two of you spent the day with your hangover on the sofa together.

Tom paced around the house for a good two hours. Each plan he came up with to win Molly back, more hairbrained than the next. None of them would have worked anyway. Tom didn’t know where she was staying. And she had been smart enough to withdraw cash from an ATM to use for a hotel room. During Tom’s muttering and ranting, his eye caught the vase Molly put the flowers from yesterday in. The sight of them enraged him so much that he flung them across the room. It hit the wall, sending glass, water and flowers flying and leaving a mark on the wall.
“Fuck! Another fucking mess to clean up.” he growled at himself as he went to clean it up.
Tom sliced open a finger and the palm of his right hand, picking up the glass shards to bin them.
“Christ, Thomas! Can’t do anything right. Break the vase and make a mess, cut your hand to hell, destroy the one good thing…”
He collapsed into sobs against the wall, covering his eyes with his non-injured hand. The other hand hung at his side, blood dripping onto the floor. It took a good five minutes for Tom to get himself off the floor. He poorly dressed the wound on his palm, having only the use of one hand and not his good hand.
Rather than bothering to clean up the mess, he let it sit and headed to bed. Not that he would do much sleeping.
He woke the next morning to more speculation in the papers about his marriage and a splitting headache. He fixed himself an espresso. His stomach rumbled, and he realized he missed dinner yesterday. Tom opened the fridge to find storage containers of fruit with little notes on them.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Tom chuckled as tears welled up again. “Oh, Molly.” He opened up the container and popped a piece of melon into his mouth. His phone buzzed.
“Ben.” he answered dryly, popping another piece of melon in.
“That bad? I suspected as much. How did you fuck this up?” Ben chuckled.
“I yelled. I called her stupid. I got jealous. But mostly I yelled. I never should have yelled at her. She doesn’t like to be yelled at. I promised not to yell at her…”
“You’re babbling, Tom. How on earth does a confession of your undying love turn into you yelling and her, sleeping on the couch?”
“Never got that far, and she moved out.” Tom sniffled. “I, I don’t know where she is.”
“Well, damn it man, find her and fix this. I can’t handle another six months of you moping about.” Ben groaned.
“What makes you think she’ll take me back. I broke her trust. I did the one thing—”
“She will take you back because she loves you. Don’t believe everything you read in the papers. Besides, didn’t Loki kick Captain America’s ass?”
Tom chuckled. “Only once.” Tom sighed. “But how am I going to find her?”
“Have you tried the phone?”
Tom glared at his mobile. “You are hilarious, mate. Yes.”
“One of her friends then. Surely, someone must know where she is staying.”
Tom shook his head. “She doesn’t really have many…” Tom snapped his fingers. “I’ve got to let you go, Ben.”
“Where are you off to?”
“I got to sell my soul.”
“To the Devil?”
“Worse. My sister.”
-
Emma didn’t expect to see her brother appear on her doorstep that morning. She had expected him to call first.
“I don’t know where she is, Tom!” Emma snapped back.
“You’re lying, Emma. Your brow always twitches when you are lying. Where is she, Emma?”
“I’m not telling you, Tom. She told me what you said.” Emma narrowed her eyes at her brother.
“And I need to tell her I was a right bastard.”
“Which you are!”
Tom shook his head. “If I tell you everything, will you tell where Molly is? I don’t care if she tells me to fuck off. I just need her to know I love her. More than anything.”
Emma opened the door wider and crossed her arms. “I’m listening.”
Tom stepped inside. “So you know how after the break-up, the papers kept running stories about me?”
“Yeah…”
Tom ran his toe along the edge of the rug in Emma’s foyer. “So I may have come up with the idea of getting married to give the papers something else to write?”
Emma’s eyes grew as wide as saucers. “So you’re not married. Mum is going to—”
“Oh no, I’m legally married. I’ve got the certificate to prove it. I agreed to pay off her debts in exchange for carrying as my wife.” Tom’s voice grew smaller as he explained the whole arrangement.
“Is Molly a—”
“Don’t even say it, Emma or I swear. Don’t speak ill of Molly. She is a nice girl who has managed admirably despite a horrific childhood. And I…” He struggled to find the words.
“Fell in love.” Emma finished his sentence.
Tom’s eyes welled with tears, and he nodded. “I did. I didn’t mean to, but I did, Em. She is…” Tom choked. “… my world. I love her so much it burns me from the inside out and she doesn’t know. She needs to know. I can’t let her go without her knowing she is loved. By me.” A tear fell onto Tom’s cheek.
Emma stood there for a moment, silently staring at her brother, crying in her foyer. “You realize by telling me all this, I will have enough to blackmail you until the end of time to not tell Mother?”
“A price I will gladly pay to get the chance to talk to my wife one more time.” Tom gazed up at his sister. “Will you help me, Emma?”
She shifted her feet around. “She’s at the Park International Hotel, Room 223.”
Tom leaned over and kissed her cheek.
“Thank you, Em.”
“Go get the girl, Tom.” she smiled at him.
-
“Thanks for coming over.” Molly sniffled. “I know you’re busy.”
“Hey, hey.” Chris reached out and grabbed her hand. “It’s no trouble. You sounded so upset on the phone.”
Molly smiled over at Chris before her face crumbled as she cried again. For the looks of it, she had cried most of the night. Her eyes were puffy and rimmed with red.
“Sh, sh, sh.” Chris moved to envelope her in a hug, pulling her tight to his chest. “Tell me what happened. It’s about the picture, isn’t it?”
Molly nodded her head against him. “Yes.”
“I can’t imagine Tom getting mad about that, babe. We are just friends.”
“I know, right? But Tom got so mad and cold. And he yelled. He knows how… how.. I.. am with yelling.” She buried her head in his chest. “I thought he cared about me.”
“Of course he cares about you. He loves you, Molly.” Chris pulled back. “You’re his wife.”
“It’s a bit more to it than that, I’m afraid.” She wiped the tears away. “Our relationship is…” She was on the verge of telling Chris everything.
“Complicated?” Chris raised an eyebrow. “Tell me about it. And the fame only makes it worst. Everyone watching and judging. They have no idea what is going behind closed doors.”
“That’s an understatement.” Molly sniffled. “How do you deal?”
Chris smiled and laughed. “Not well. In case you haven’t noticed, I’m single.”
“A handsome guy like you?” Molly teased.
“I have my flaws. But my dog thinks I’m great.”
Molly laughed for the first time. “I bet he does.”
“But the important thing is that the two of you love and care for each other, and the rest of it is bullshit.” Chris sighed. “And you and Tom clearly care for each other. Why else would he act so possessive?” Chris smirked.
“You noticed that?”
“I could have been blind and noticed that. Tom has got it bad. And I can’t say I blame him. A beautiful, amazing girl like you. He’s a lucky guy. If you were single…”
Molly blushed. “Thanks.”
They sat in awkward silence until Chris smacked his legs.
“Well, this is awkward. I’m going to go get some food for us and bring it back, and we are going to figure out what to do next.”
Chris turned to leave. “Chris!” Molly called out.
“Yeah?”
“Thanks for everything.”
“Sure, babe.”
-
Tom stepped out of the elevator and walked towards Molly’s room. The entire drive over, Tom went through his head what he would say to Molly. How he would beg her to come back. That he loved her. All that went out the window when he saw Chris leaving Molly’s room.
“What the hell are you doing here?” Tom bellowed. “Haven’t you done enough?”
Chris spun around and his eyes narrowed. “I’m here at Molly’s request. Apparently, her husband upset her.” he sniped back.
“And you’re here to comfort her? That’s my job. I’m her husband.” Tom’s fist clenched as he saw Chris smirking at him.
“You’re doing a piss-poor job, buddy. She’s been crying all night.” Chris jabbed his thumb at the door.
“How would you know that?!” Tom marched forward until he was toe to toe with Evans.
Chris looked Tom up and down. “Listen,” he ignored Tom’s question. “if things don’t work out between the two of you, mind if I date her? She’s seems like a great girl, deserves a good—”
CRACK! Tom punched Chris square on the jaw. Chris tumbled to the ground, holding his face.
“If anyone is taking my wife out on a date, it’ll be me!” Tom yelled back.
“Tom!” Molly stood at the door. “What the fuck?!”
“Molly!” Tom and Chris called out together. They both rushed to her, but Tom got there first, kicking a foot out to keep Chris at bay.
“Darling, I…” Tom reached out for her. Molly took a step back.
“How did you even find me?”
“Emma told me.”
Molly huffed. “Traitor.”
“She knows.” Tom leaned in.
Molly gasped. “You told her?! But she might tell your mom. Tom, I…”
“You’re worth the risk.”
“I should say so.” Chris piped up.
Tom’s head twisted around to glare at Chris.
“You’re still here? This is none of your concern.” Tom hissed.
“I was invited.” Chris straightened his shirt. “Right, Molly?”
Molly held up her hand. “I think you should go, Chris.”
“But—” Chris protested.
“Tom and I need to talk. Alone.”
Tom smiled at Chris. “Nice to see you, mate.”
Chris wanted to push the issue but knew better. He sighed. “Fine, but call me if you need anything, Molly. I’m still in town for a few more days.”
Molly nodded. “Got it. Thanks, Chris.”
“You’re welcome.” Chris shoved his pockets and walked towards the elevator.
Tom returned his attention to Molly. They stepped into her room and shut the door. “It hasn’t even been 24 hours, Molly. And he’s already in your be—”
“Did you just come here to yell at me again?! And what are you talking about?”
“Chris said you have been crying all night. I assumed…” Tom stopped. “He didn’t—”
“No, but thanks for thinking so little of me. Did you come here to tell me that?”
“No, I…” Tom stumbled over his words. “I was wrong. I should have never yelled. Especially knowing what I did. You were right, I was jealous of Chris. I still am.”
Molly tapped her foot. “Anything else? Because you could have sent all of that in a text. You didn’t need to come here. It doesn’t change anything, Tom. I.. can’t… keep…” Her voice wavered, all her hurt and emotions mixed up inside of her.
Tom swallowed hard and exhaled sharply. “I love you, Molly. I am…” He chuckled. “hopelessly in love with you. That’s why I got so jealous. I was afraid that…” Tom fidgeted. “… you would leave me.”
“You have a funny way of showing it.” Molly fidgeted.
“I’m an idiot.” Tom stepped forward, cupping her cheek. “I thought admitting I loved you meant losing you. Our relationship was never meant to be this. It was business. And then Chris came along and the two of you got along. I lost my mind.
“The heart wants what it wants.” Molly whispered, her hands lighting on Tom’s shoulders. “Tom, I…”
Tom pleaded. “Please come back. I need you, Molly. I will spend the rest of my life showing you, proving to you I am worthy of your love. Just please come back.” Tom pressed his forehead to hers, breathing hard and crying.
“I… I… love you too.” Molly whispered, starting to sob. “And you are an absolute idiot.”
They both laughed. Tom leaned in and his lips tentatively, scared she would turn away. Molly deepened the kiss, wrapping her arms around Tom’s neck, pulling him against her. Tom walked them back until she hit the wall. Molly gasped. Tom breathed her in and slipped his tongue into her mouth, tasting every corner of her. He wanted to know every inch. She clung to him for dear life, tasting him as well. There was heat and passion and everything Molly wanted. She leaned back against the wall, panting.
“I’ve wanted to kiss you like this for so long.” Tom continued to kiss her, in between words, stealing her breath. “Marry me.”
Molly giggled against his lips, cupping his face in her hands. “I’m already married to you.”
Tom’s lips trailed down Molly’s neck. “Then sleep with me.” He sucked hard in the crook of her neck. “Let me make love to you, darling. I need you.” He pressed against her, desperate.
“Yes.” The only word Molly could muster in the moment.
Tom picked her up and walked her to the unmade bed and placed her down. As he tugged his shirt off, Molly scrambled with her shirt and pants, tossing them onto the floor, leaving herself in just a bra and panties.
Tom smiled and licked his lips as he yanked his belt off and pushed his pants and underwear to the floor. Molly gulped as she took in Tom naked.
“Bra and panties too.” he prodded as he crawled onto the bed. “I want to see my wife in all her beauty.”
Molly shivered at his words and her hands shook as she unhooked her bra and slipped her panties down her legs. She laid there naked.
“Glorious.” Tom purred as he settled between her legs. His mouth latched onto one of her nipples, sucking and licking. Molly arched her back and groaned.
“Fuck, yes!” She grabbed the back of Tom’s head and pulled him closer.
Tom released her nipple with a pop and moved over to the other one. His hand snaked between their bodies to find Molly’s core, teasing her clit with his thumb. She bucked against his touch.
“Tom, please. I need you.” Her hand stroked his cock, teasing the tip along her folds. “All of you.”
“Then all of me you shall have.” Tom pushed into her, groaning until he bottomed out. Molly arched into him, filled to the brim.
“Yes!” she breathed.
Tom twisted his hips as he thrusted into her with long strokes, hitting that spot inside of her. Molly bucked her hips, wanting every inch of him. Her nails dug into Tom’s back.
Tom wanted the moment to last forever. Just him and Molly and nothing else. But his release edged near, and he wanted to please Molly first.
“Are you close, darling?” Tom growled in her ear.
Molly nodded. “Yes!”
Tom drew tight circles against Molly’s clit as he sped up his thrusting. “Come for me, my love.”
Molly soon came, clenching hard around him, causing Tom to come too, spilling inside of her. He carefully rolled off to the side, and pulled Molly onto his chest, smoothing her hair back and kissing her forehead.
“That was incredible, darling. You are…”
“So are you.” she interrupted, wiggling into the crook of the body. “Tom?”
“Molly?”
“Will you do me a favor?” She drew circles in Tom’s chest hair with her nail.
“Anything.” He held his breath, waiting.
“Take me home.” Her face breaking out into a sparkling smile.
Tom pressed his lips to hers. “On one condition….” She raised an eyebrow. “You move into the master bedroom with me. I haven’t slept a wink in weeks because you aren’t there.”
Molly laughed as she nodded her head. “Deal.”

Tsukishima Kei
You stopped right in front of your classroom’s door frame when you saw a girl shyly standing in front of you while looking down on the floor. Her rosy cheeks peaked from her long and beautiful hair, biting her lip. You recognize her from the other class since she has been visiting your class a few times.
Then, your eyes landed on the letter, slightly crumpled up on her hand. Your mind spiralled a bit at your first thought, that she’s going to give you a love letter, but then again, you snapped out from the thought and focus back on her figure,
“Can I help you?”
She flinched, slowly looking up from the ground and making brief eye contact with you, “Um, c-can you hand this to...Tsukishima….?”
Handing you the letter in her hand as you sighed in relief internally, taking it from her, “You mean Kei? Sure, I’ll let you know his reaction okay?” The girl slowly looks back at you again, giving her a small smile.
A blink as a response as a small smile started forming up on her face before nodding and started jogging back to her class.
You sighed, looking at the love letter for your beloved best friend, “Ah, young love~”
A chuckle escaped from your lips at the thought despite not even being that different in age gap with Tsukishima. You turned around, finding his figure sitting on his desk while listening to his headphones as always. You walked towards him and sat on the chair in front of you.
The male opens his eyes at the sound you made with the chair and put on an annoyed look, expecting yet another rant from you until he saw the mischievous smirk plastered upon your face,
“What do you want?” He blandly asked, not even bothering to put his headphones down. You pouted at that,
“Oh, c’mone, can’t you be more nice with me? I even bring good news right now,”
Tsukishima lifted a brow as his eyes traveled around you until the familiar white envelope caught his eyes. His breath hitches a bit as his cheeks started heating up. Without making it any obvious for you of course.
Is that a love letter? Why do you have one in your hand right now? Are you...confessing to him? He mentally slaps himself in the face and focuses back to what you have to say, hoping that it is about the love letter, “What?”
You hold out the letter onto his face with an excited grin, covering his face. He groaned, trying to put it back down but still took a glimpse of the small red heart in the middle. He snatched it from your hands, finally putting down his headphones and examined it.
Before he can ask you any questions to make it seem like he’s oblivious to it (but in reality he’s not), you spoke first.
And oh boy, it’s really not what he’s hoping for,
“The girl from class 3 asked me to give it to you, and as you can tell, I think she has a little crushy- crush on you~” You grinned, quite oblivious to the emotions welled up inside him now.
Not like he’ll show it any obvious anyway. The slight hope in his eyes died down as he looked back at the letter with no emotions. As if the letter itself has no meaning whatsoever to him.
It’s true, because it’s not from a certain person in his mind, so why would he look at it with excitement?
“Yeah, sure, so what?” You frowned at his response, putting the letter down on the very corner of his desk while rolling his eyes and putting his headphones back on, “What’s with that response? Don’t you feel, I don’t know, excited or something? I mean, I would get excited if I get a love letter from someone,”
‘Because it’s not from you’
“Because there’s no purpose to it? How do you even expect me to react when someone give me a stupid letter? Also, how come you’re not even bothered by it?”
The last question slips from his lips as he yelled at himself internally but trying to not make it any more obvious that he didn’t mean to say that. Thankfully you didn’t caught on to it, like every other time,
“Should I be bothered by it tho? I think that I’m happy that you finally receive one because your lonely ass needs a s/o. You shouldn’t ignore it too, y’know,” You pouted, resting your head on your palm while looking out from the class window.
Tsukishima frowned, it’s not the response he’s hoping from you, then again, he should’ve seen it coming. But it still hurts,
“I already promised her that I’m going to tell her your response-” “Just tell her that I don’t accept the confession,” He sighed, waving his hand around as he buried his head on his arm, avoiding your stare,
“Tch, whatever I guess, if she cries because of it then you’re responsible for it,” He grunted, looking back onto your eyes.
They look as pretty as ever, just like yesterday, and honestly everyday. But he can still couldn’t admit it,
“Shut up, have you finished the english work?” You widen your eyes at that panickly holding onto his table, “FUCK, I HAVEN’T FINISHED THE LAST ONE YET,”
You quickly went to your seat and rummaged around your bag, pulling out two books and a pen before landing back at your previous seat. The blonde sighed, rolling his eyes and put down his headphones while watching you flip through the english textbook.
The love letter left next to him.
Tumblr media
Tsukishima walked through the hallway with Yamaguchi next to him. In the end, he still keeps the love letter thanks to your pestering. If you hadn’t stopped him from throwing it away, he could’ve caught into some unnecessary drama.
Yamaguchi takes a glance at the blonde next to him, then at the letter inside his pocket. Slightly crumpled and dirty from the amount of ignorance he gave to it, “Tsuki, sorry to hear about that. So, did they know about it? Y’know, about your crush on them,”
He kept on walking towards the gym, where Hinata had asked both of them to help him and Kageyama practice a bit during lunch. His face unphased and hands left on his sides,
“No, still oblivious. And I’m pretty sure that…”
His words fell on deaf ears when both of them reached the noisy gym, filled with the balls hitting every corner of the room along with Hinata, Kageyama and…
Your voice.
Both of them took a peek inside through the small opening and his eyes went wide when you spike a ball, holding up your hand in victory and clapping hands with Hinata and Kageyama.
Yamaguchi sighed, half lidded eyes staring at his best friend, “And because they have another person in mind right?” The blonde looked at Yamaguchi and pulled out the letter from his pocket.
Hollowly looking at it’s crumpled up state before averting his pupils back to your beamed figure talking with a flustered Kageyama. The expression you’re wearing is enough to make it obvious on who you’re REALLY into.
Tsukishima clenched his hand, crumpling the letter fully with a dead stare towards both of your figures. He calmed his mind a bit, looking up with his eyes closed avoiding tears falling down.
His friend gave him a pity look, patting his back. He throw the letter at the trash bin and turn his expression back to neutral again,
“I fucking hate them. Whatever, it’s not like I care anyway,”
Tumblr media
Matsukawa Issei
“Fuck, gross!”
You punched Matsukawa’s shoulder, laughing in the process while walking with him towards your classroom. He chuckled, shrugging slightly and catching the familiar frame of both you and his class,
“What? I already told you it was once,” “Shut up loser,” You shake your head, walking ahead of him and entering the classroom. Greeting some of your classmates that’s either talking with one another or playing cards.
The latter yawned, slouching his figure a bit as his eyes caught something on his desk. He stares at it for a second before realizing it’s a letter and a little bento. He walked towards it and lifted the letter up, “[y/n]!”
After putting your watch down on your desk, you look back at him, “Hm?” He held the letter up as it caught your attention. You walked towards his desk and take a look at the letter closer,
“Oh fuck, you got a confession letter!” Matsukawa looks at the letter back and flip it showing a name written in cursive, “Miyahara...Sora,” He read it out loud as you widen your eyes at that,
“MIYAHARA?? Mattsun, that’s like, the sweetest girl in our whole school, she likes you?” He barely shrugged, “Seemed so,”
You rose a brow at that, “Aren’t you excited? She’s really popular and to know that she has a crush on you?? Of all people?”
“Oh shut up, who’s even getting the letter right now?” He lightly hit your head and put the letter down, grabbing the bento next. He opens it as your eyes sparkled at the content. As expected from the cinnamon roll of a person Miyahara is, the food was aesthetically pleasing to look at and even smells good for bonus point,
“Well, at least she’s one good housewife,” “Oh my god, stop with your housewife kink,” You groaned, earning a laugh from him as he handed it to you, “And you seemed like you wanted a taste,”
You flinched at his statement and wearily looked at the bento in front of you. You wanted to refuse since it’s for him but the octopus sausage is practically calling you to eat it,
“Fuck this,” You grabbed one of it and chewed happily, making a sound of content as the ravenette watches you eat it. But, now that he started realizing it, you didn’t seem bothered by him getting a love letter from some popular girl that he didn’t bother to know about.
In fact, it looks like you’re actually rooting for the romance between him and ‘Miyahara’ to blossom.
His smile faltered a bit but then he put back his usual grin when you turn your head to him, “Can I eat one more- wait, no! It’s for you, one is enough,” “Are you sure?” “...”
You reached out your hand to grab the onigiri and stuffed it inside your mouth, earning a chuckle from Matsukawa, grabbing one too,
“Mn, what did she put in here? Tuna mayo?”
“Hm, taste like it honestly,”
“It’s good, dang I hope that I can have her make bentos for me,”
“Yeah, sure,”
Tumblr media
The letter’s still rested on his hand, he fiddled with it and left it unopened. He doesn’t want to open it since he could already tell that he won’t feel anything while reading it. Matsukawa saw your figure running towards him as you stopped right in front of him, panting,
“Hey chief, you okay?” He asked with a lopsided grin, you stand up straight and look at him with a glare, “Why didn’t you tell me that you don’t have practice right now?! I had to deal with Oikawa’s ass inside the gym and cleaning it up since none of the others want to!”
He dodged your attacks as you continue your rambling, “And what’s worst is that your stupid volleyball gym is so fucking far away from the school main gate!”
You stopped trying to hit him when he catches your wrist and shoving it back down, “Geez, sorry I guess, don’t get so worked up with it since you knew that this isn’t the first time it happened,”
A sigh escaped from you, letting go of his grip as you opened your shoe locker. He chuckled, leaning against the locker with one hand inside his pocket while the other still holding the letter.
While struggling to put your shoes back on, you catch a glimpse of the letter previously from your class, “You still haven’t read it?”
He looks at the letter then back at you, “Nah, I don’t feel like reading it right now,” You scoffed, standing up straight and hit your front shoe onto the floor, “Well, I hope you would read it anytime soon, not making the owner of the letter to wait for your response,”
You froze a bit and looks at him with a small smile, “Wait, don’t tell me you have a crush on me so that’s why you haven’t read it,”
His eyes widened at that as both of you stare into each other, his cheeks heating up at the contact. Was he really that obvious? No, if you had already known it, you would have tease him about it a little earlier. He kept himself calm under your stare as he coughed,
“Pfft, what? Of course not, you’re seriously hallucinating right now,” “Oh,” You chuckled, leaning against the locker besides him, “Thank goodness,”
You easily stated.
Matsukawa can feel himself getting stabbed from the back at your mere words, and he started noticing why you still pestered him to accept the letter. How can it not be any obvious? You don’t love him more than friends.
Then again, you act so carefree around him, you’re always comfortable with him and could effortlessly talk with him without being shy. That it became hard to know if you like him or not.
Some days you would just be next to him engulfed with silence and he would think that you’re in love with him. If only, that was true and not a scenario that he made up. But it’s quite impossible isn’t it? There’s actually no way for you to hold up a more-than-friends feelings towards him.
That’s pretty much the number one ‘not to’ rule as best friends. And he broke that sole rule. How stupid of him, he should’ve known better.
“I just know that you two would be the perfect couple, I mean, you two are so cute together now that I think about it!” You give him a bright smile,
The same smile that made him fall in love, and the same one that got his heart broken,
“I’ll be your number one wing person, so I hope you could read the letter when you got home,” He blinks, chuckling at that while putting on a smile that could’ve mirrored yours, if it isn’t so fake,
“Whatever,”
You smack his shoulder and wave your hand at him, “Loser, see you tomorrow, kachow,” He waved back, almost half heartedly, “Kachow,”
And with that, you’re running out from the gate, trying to not miss the train again. Half way through it, you tripped on a rock but quickly gained balance and started running again.
His hand fell down to his sides, the smile on his face disappearing in a second. He lifted up the letter, almost glaring down on it as he speed walked towards the nearest trash bin.
And almost too easily ripped it into half, throwing it away and not caring that the owner would find it anytime soon. He held up his middle finger at it, sticking his tongue out at the process, “Fuck you, you ruined my fucking life, Miyahara,”
Matsukawa frowned, searching through his pocket and pulling out his phone, dialing a number that’s all too familiar to him.
It let out a few beeps before the call was accepted, “Hey, what’s up?”
Hanamaki’s voice echoed from it, a little bit hoarse from sleeping the whole day. He covered his face, letting a sigh before responding,
“Hey, I know that you’re sick right now, but can I go to your house?”
A line of silence filled in the gap between them before his other best friend responded back, “Is this about [y/n]?” His voice now laced in pity, almost knowing exactly what happened between you two while he’s away.
He let out a forced smile as his vision started to blur and sting from the tears welling up. He bite his lip, trying to calm himself from breaking down right there, letting the whole school see him crumbling,
“Isn’t it obvious enough? I even bet that you had known about this in the first place,”

Beat the System (Poe Dameron x f!Reader; high school AU)
BEAT THE SYSTEM
My darling @autumnleaves1991-blog is doing a Writer Wednesday thing (click that link for details) and today’s challenge was:
Tumblr media
...so I wrote this little thing. may or may not be based on things that might have somewhat happened during my years as a summer amusement park lackey.
Word Count: ~2100
Summary: You see a lot of people at your summer job, and you didn’t really want to see him or for him to see you, but that’s not how the system works.
Warnings: Female reader. High School AU. References to clowns. Complaining. Nothing else really, just a lot of fluff. As usual, mostly kind of proofread.
Tumblr media
You kind of hated your summer job.
It wasn’t so much that you hated having to get a job in the first place, after your parents insisted that’s what you’d need to do if you wanted your own car. And the job itself was actually pretty easy, at least in theory.
The ring toss stand at the local amusement park was your domain. Your days were spent surrounded by giant stuffed elephants and aliens and teddy bears, taking money, handing out rings, watching people throw them at bottles. Ninety-nine percent of the time this also meant watching them lose. The losses generally led to another futile round of buying and tossing. And, invariably, cussing; never mind that this was a family establishment and there was a five-year-old standing three feet away from the offender.
No, it was the job on repeat for eight hours a day, five days out of the week. It was seeing all your friends come by and have fun while you literally had to watch them (but hey, at least you got paid.) It was having to work every single weekend. And it was all the people. People you’d known your whole life, people who lived in neighboring towns, busses full of people from who knows where that flocked to this place every single year.
And it was just weird to think of this place as a destination. It was just the amusement park that was there all your life, that your parents went to when they were in high school, and maybe their parents did too. This place was freaking old. But why people felt the need to come by the busload from hours away--
“Hey, I didn’t know you worked here.”
The voice broke through your ranting brain and you looked up to see a familiar face grinning back at you from the other side of the booth.
Poe Dameron was a senior. He was captain of both the football and the soccer team, treasurer of the student council, sang on the chorus, played bass in the jazz band, was in the drama club, and you were pretty sure there were at least a dozen other things he just did because he was good at everything.
He was also ridiculously hot and the last person you wanted to see you in your ridiculous, brightly colored work uniform. He stood before you looking like he just crawled off the cover of a romance novel, all tan skin and dark curls and defined muscles, and there you were with a high ponytail and baggy shorts and a shirt that would put a clown to shame.
Honestly, all you needed were the giant floppy shoes.
He was also there with a group of his rowdy, juvenile football friends, which only promised to make this hell even more scorching. At least for now, they seemed to be occupied with ogling the girl who ran the tilt-a-whirl across the path and completely ignoring you.
You scrunched your face at him. “Poe, I’ve seen you here like twenty times this summer. You’ve even played this game before. You know I work here.”
“Okay, you got me,” his grin didn’t falter. You weren’t sure, but it might have even gotten a little bigger. He handed over ten dollars. “A bucket of rings, please.”
Great, he was going to hang around. You glanced at your watch, and it solemnly informed you that your break wasn’t for another hour and half. So you were stuck there. In a virtual clown suit. With the hot senior you might have had a little crush on.
Not like you ever doodled his initials in your notebooks or on scraps of paper when the crowds at the stand died down. You denied all knowledge of these supposed incidents.
You could act like a normal person in his presence.
You sighed and took the money from him, handing him a bucket full of red plastic rings in return. “You know this game is rigged, right? They all are.”
“So I’ve heard.” He picked up his first ring. “But I am determined to beat the system.”
You rolled your eyes. “Do you have to be good at everything?”
Poe shot you a quick side-eye before turning his attention back to the sea of bottles in front of him. He tossed the first ring and it flipped end over end before bouncing off a bottle top with a spectacular ding! His brow furrowed as he reached for another ring.
“Apparently not,” he muttered. “But I’ll still beat it. You see, there’s this girl I want to impress, and…” He tossed the second ring and watched it ricochet off another bottle top.
“Of course there is,” you snorted. “There’s probably a whole horde of them.”
He chuckled. “Nope, just one.”
You waved your arm in a grand gesture toward the playing field. “Well then, have at it, Romeo. You know the rules. No leaning over the rail, and you have to land five rings to win. Let me know when you need another bucket.”
“Oh ye of little faith,” he replied as he tossed yet another ring. You tried, you really really tried, to ignore the way the tip of his tongue stuck out between his teeth as he concentrated.
And so it went until the entire bucket full of rings littered the floor of the stall, with nary a single one landing on its intended target. You grabbed the sweeper and started pushing them back into the bins underneath the counter.
Poe growled in frustration. “Seriously?!” He waved another ten in your direction and you handed him another bucket, giggling as you made the exchange.
“I told you, it’s rigged. But…” you crooked a finger to motion him closer. And then tried to remember how breathing worked as he leaned in, now just inches from your face.
“Yeah?” he whispered.
The attempt to subtly clear your throat was only half successful.
“Well, I didn’t tell you this,” you pointed toward the bottles, “but the table is slightly higher on that side, and so is that one part in the middle. If you aim for those bottles, you can probably bounce the rings onto the lower ones.”
The grin he flashed almost blinded you. “Beat the system.”
“Beat the system,” you agreed.
You leaned back and watched. After the first six rings or so, Poe seemed to figure out which bottles to aim for and how to toss the ring (with a bit of spin, of course) and before you knew it, his fifth ring landed on the center bottle and he was shouting “yes!” with a little fist pump.
“I am impressed, Dameron,” you said, clapping. “I bet this girl will be too.”
“I hope so,” he said, rubbing the back of his neck. Did he suddenly look kind of shy? No, that wasn’t Poe Dameron. He was the polar opposite of shy.
“Which one?” you asked, pointing to the prizes hanging above you.
“Which one would you pick? If you just beat the system and you were trying to impress someone?”
“Uhhh…” Why in the world was he asking you? It didn’t matter, this was his deal, you just worked there. And quite honestly, you probably wouldn’t pick any of these monstrosities. They were huge. And kind of weird looking. And neon colored.
After a few moments of confused contemplation, your eyes finally landed on a giant purple teddy bear, half hidden behind a chartreuse alien and an orange thing that was trying to impersonate an octopus. You pulled it down and handed it over.
“Here you go, the least weird thing you just spent twenty bucks on when you could have just gone to the mall and bought something more reasonable.”
“Nah, this is perfect,” Poe replied, grabbing the bear. It was nearly half as big as he was. You often wondered how anyone dragged them around the park for the rest of the day, much less managed to get them home. “Thanks for the advice.”
You couldn’t help the smirk that rose on your lips. “It was either that, or have to explain to my supervisor why you would have ended up hanging around until the park closed.”
He laughed loudly. “Rey would have understood. She’s cool like that.”
“Geez, you’re good at everything, do you know everyone in the entire galaxy too?”
Poe didn’t seem to hear you, though, as he looked over his shoulder and around the area, and you followed his gaze. His friends were nowhere to be seen and vaguely, you wondered when they’d wandered off and why they hadn’t very loudly announced it to him. He glanced back at you with a sheepish smile.
“I, uh, I should go find the guys,” he said. “And let you get back to work.”
“Yeah, okay,” you replied. All of the easy-going rapport from the past however long Poe had been there suddenly evaporated and every ounce of awkwardness you normally felt around him returned. “I’ll see you.”
You might have been looking anywhere but at him, but you didn’t miss the small wave he gave you as he walked away, and you definitely felt the heat that rose in your cheeks.
Poe was quickly forgotten as a swarm of ten-year-olds rushed the stand and the incessant clanging of misthrown rings once again took over all your waking moments. You didn’t think about him for the rest of your shift. All you could think about was how tired you were, how hot the day had been, how much you wanted to shower and sleep and pretend you didn’t have to do this again tomorrow and--
Your feet ground to halt in the employee parking lot and approached your beloved car, the entire reason you had this forsaken job in the first place. Your car, which, you would have serious questions had you not known exactly where the thing came from, had a giant purple teddy bear sitting on the hood.
As you got closer, you could see something sticking out from beneath the bow tied around its neck. It was a slip of paper, with a phone number scrawled on it. And a little “P.” with a heart.
What was even happening right now.
Before you knew it, your phone was out of your purse and you were calling his number. Sure, you might have had to dial it four times because your nervous fingers kept pressing the wrong digits, but who was counting? And never mind that it was almost midnight. It was summer, he’d still be awake, right?
Finally you got it right, and the call picked up on the other end.
“Hello?”
“Hi,” you breathed.
“Hey,” you could picture the trademark Dameron grin behind it. And he sounded...relieved? “I’m really glad you called.”
“How did you get into the employee parking lot?”
“I didn’t. I asked Rey for a favor. I figured she might know which car was yours. Told you she’s cool like that.”
You laughed softly. “Yeah. Yeah, I guess she really is.”
“So I do have a really important question for you. Well, two actually.”
“I’m listening,” you said. It was hard to hear anything over how hard your heart was thumping in your ears, but he didn’t need to know that.
“Question one. Can I take you out on a date?”
“Yeah,” you said again and closed your eyes, partly out of a need to center yourself and mostly out of sheer embarrassment. Maybe one day, you would remember how to speak to Poe Dameron in multiple word sentences, but right at this moment was not that time. Oh well.
“Awesome,” he breathed out. “I was hoping you’d say yes.”
“Yes.” Thankfully he didn’t seem to be deterred by your current lack of language skills.
Poe laughed warmly. “Now, second question. Did it work?”
This time you couldn’t even come up with a verbal response. You just erupted in a bout of giggles, Poe Dameron laughing along with you. And somehow, you got that ridiculous monstrosity of a teddy bear into your back seat.
The somehows kept coming. Somehow you remembered how to use words. Somehow it was well after midnight now without either of you giving it permission to get that late. Somehow your phone refused to end the call. Somehow the hours were slipping by until you had to be at the park for an early opening shift in the morning, and somehow you suddenly didn’t care at all about getting any sleep.
Maybe this job wasn’t so bad, after all.

Women of Bullworth: Part 4 Lola Lombardi
The woman who through her infidelity drives the plot of chapter 3, she didn’t do that intentionally, Rockstar didn’t give her enough agency or character to do so. So once again she was just another Helen of Troy plotline, but hey at least she’s aware of it this time. I have a lot of complex feelings about Lola and they’re incredibly difficult for me to unpack because of the sheer amount of sexist oversight with her.
Jimmy, the player character, canonically also dates around, and no one really cares that he broke up established relationships or was seemingly dating all of these people without the other’s knowledge, consent, or ending the prior relationship. Yet, Lola does much of the same and suddenly she gets slut-shamed by the story in a way Jimmy is not. Hell, even many in the fandom give her hate for doing the same shit Jimmy does with no criticism. That’s a double standard if I ever saw one.
“But Cas,” I can hear you say, “Lola was in a committed relationship with Johnny”
Yeah, and Jimmy was in a committed relationship with Pinky (I assume at some point their relationship dissolved but Rockstar didn’t show or tell us it happened) before suddenly going around dating other girls. I also have to question Johnny here, this isn’t to blame Johnny. I definitely feel bad and have been in his shoes before, but after several times of being cheated on and lashing out at the wrong people, you would think he’d get sick enough to leave. Oh wait I know exactly why he didn’t, Johnny’s actions have the most sway over the plot in this chapter and the writers couldn’t be fucked to make their actual antagonist whip up any drama. So they once again used their free conflict device, a woman, to make some slapped together bargain bin Outsiders Prep vs. Greaser's plotline. Although the Greasers and the Preps hated each other already and literally anything could have caused a clique war between the two factions, but okay I guess.
Despite her being the catalyst for a lot of Chapter 3, she doesn’t really move the plot forward. We also have no idea as to why she cheats on Johnny other than “it’s exciting”. Take a shot every time she says “excited” or “exciting” in a double entendre and yet never explains why the things she is talking about are exciting to her. What does she even get out of dating around? Rockstar sure won’t tell you. What pisses me off here is that they could have tied her actions into the main plot easily by just saying she was doing it purposely to help Gary in the plan of taking over the school. They could have explained that she wanted to be the queen of the school and given her good motivation for wanting to be better than all the other girls in the school. But that involves seeing your female characters as people with their own goals, thoughts, and feelings. Rockstar, a company mostly made up of men during 2006, clearly didn’t view their character that way and that is deeply saddening.
What makes me the saddest is the fact that a lot of the fandom has a unique hatred of Lola despite her not being unique at all in the story. She’s just a “maneater” stereotype with no character beyond that. The hatred and narratives spun about her in the fandom very much feel misogynistic, I understand not liking people who cheat, but many folks have a unique disdain for her that makes no sense considering how flimsy the writing is. I hear the argument that what Lola was doing was somehow worse than all the other characters and frankly I have to laugh. She’s nothing more than a free conflict device, walking health pack, collectible item, and minor quest giver. Johnny has more of an effect on the plot and character development and that is why we care more about him and justify his actions more than Lola’s despite Lola not being as overly possessive, and getting as irrationally violent to others as Johnny.
Rockstar could have very easily tied Lola into the plot, given her some sort of motivation, and given her agency within her own story. But to do that, you have to view women as just as valid and valuable characters and men. That would have meant introducing nuance and they didn’t want that. They just wanted Lola to be a plot device, decoration, a reward for the player, and a glorified health pack. The fandom’s hatred of her clearly comes from a lot of misogyny and a bunch of double standards.
And what makes this worse is that I really like her and I could see the potential for a story. Little kernels of good ideas and concepts, going to waste because Rockstar can’t write a woman beyond a cliche stereotype. She’s honestly a favorite girl character of mine despite her lack of development because I see all the ways she could have been more interesting and developed. I see all the ways she could have made a commentary on sexism, poverty, and cis-hetero relationships in high school. I see a morally gray character that could have challenged many stereotypes and notions about what teenage girls go through and do, but will never fully be realized because the writers couldn’t be bothered to care about their own characters. So instead we got a weird amalgamation of several other teen girl fantasy characters and man-eater stereotypes to get this cardboard character with no agency or motivations outside of wanting to be “excited”. Queue me giving the biggest eye roll known to man.
Anyway, I think I’ve ranted long enough. In the next post, I will be talking about Mandy, and that will also be a pretty long post so strap yourself in this will be a long one.

july writing update
Hi friends! This writing update is me pretending I did Camp Nano and didn't kinda give up a week in! I had a proper goal and everything, but a lot of things got in the way that I'm not gonna talk about here because I already ranted about it in another update I'm drafting rn. Lets just say it's Disability Pride Month and being not neurotypical or able bodied in writing communities and their inherent focus on productivity is Hard.
But I did get some writing done and wanted to do a little Camp wrap up post regardless. And I'm doing it now because I'm cancelling the last week of July for some rest/self care and I do not want to think about writing for that time and if I write a tumblr post about July Nano being over my brain will think it's actually over <3 I will probably do updates like these for most months tho! Depends on how much I write lol! This one is not too long (by my standards) and has some Revelations, Revelations, Life Cycle of Massive Stars, Nocturne for the Holy and a new wip idea 👁️

I'm also editing this in to say I only just realised that July is my writeblr birthday month and that is very weird to me! A year and a couple days ago I impulsively turned an old blog into a place to document writing for me and ended up meeting people who now mean the world to me and my writing blossoming in a way I never thought it would. And the funny part is it doesn't feel like it's been a year, ever since I joined it's just felt like life has Always been this way and I cannot fathom that it hasn't. I'm sappy bc it's 4am lol but ultimately the friends I made (you know who you are) and the community I found is what retaught me the value of writing and helped me unlearn toxic ideas and whilst the last year was tough I wish I could tell July 2020 Dallon (who did not realise he was Dallon yet </3) what July 2021 would look like.
revelations, revelations ;
Oh the absolute state of affairs with this book rn. Nothing bad but I don't know when I'm gonna update y'all because sometimes I do not know where to start when talking about this wip lol! Currently on a break with it (but also my thesis work is on late 20th century queer lit/history rn so am ever really free of RR? <3) but had a lot of fun with it at the end of June/start of July. Anyway here's Dorothy finally revealing more of herself to me after a year. Dorothy as a character is like, I truly believe she is capable of killing a man but the story she is in just does not allow that so I am trying to grow her unhinged side a little bit in other ways bc I know she has it in her but I also really cannot deal with the plot repercussions of her actually killing a man! I'm sorry Dotty but this'll have to do!
(cw for groping/a man being creepy as hell, death/funeral mention, drug mention, drowning imagery kinda)
There’s too much to tell Felix. That his sister lives on the fringe of Castro and has attended three funerals since September; that it’s January 11th and she’s already attended one this year. That his sister drives through sunsets and imagines parties: the amber dusk, warm mosaic tiles, platters of Greek salad skewers and shrimp tostadas, and sometimes Jolie joins her and they share a blunt on the hill. That his sister bought an aquamarine body-length dress for six bucks in a thrift store sale bin, so when her and Jolie broke up for the second time, she waltzed into a sunset party, locked arms with a CEO’s son and gave him a fake number and plucked strawberries out of champagne and blended so well nobody noticed when she left. That during the summer of ’83, his sister walked a neighbour’s Golden Retriever on Wednesdays, and on the sixth Wednesday he gave her a wad of tens with one hand and palmed the back of her neck with the other, so she walked his dog to the beach and stole another hundred from his wallet. That his sister bombed an interview for a Nursing school and didn’t get home until night and missed their monthly call, and Jolie heard the phone ring and didn’t take a message, so his sister snuck into the CEO’s son’s villa and floated in the centre of their heated pool like a cloud. A pause, a breath, an Opheliean threat.
life cycle of massive stars ;
Switched to LCOMS this month because I was burnt out with RR and it made such the difference! I really love working on two novels at once because it keeps me consistently creative but also both of these books are so different so its always refreshing to bounce back into one from another. I have a whole update in the drafts rn for this so keeping this part brief but still love this book, still the best thing that has ever happened to me, me and this book will have a glorious summer wedding etc etc. These excerpts are from chapters that summarise the first semester of each character's first year and have to say it. has been Very Fun to get into the mindset of Freshers Melodrama. Here's Junie having a crisis and an unhealthy relationship with her hetero flatmate :( (alcohol cw for both excerpts)
In October you are drinking double espresso and trying to breathe normally in lectures and you are trying to figure out your favourite colour because Fleur asked and you stumbled out an answer (Purple, I think. Violet? Lavender? Indigo?) and it didn’t match hers (I like yellow. I like sunlight). You buy mugs from IKEA to paint you paint cats and fireworks and constellations and moon phases and daisies. You try to scratch paint stains off your desk. You do laundry at 2am. In October you colour code your notes with pastel highlighters. You go to the library at 3am. You paint your nails sunlight and hate it. You finish an essay that’s due in December. You knock on Fleur’s door at 8am so she makes her 9am. You wear off the shoulder tops and you let a girl dab glitter on your collarbones and you are watching Fleur kiss a boy from the neighbouring hall. You bite your sunlight nails. You break the handle off your IKEA constellation mug. You leave your keys in a lecture hall and stand at the reception for forty minutes waiting for them to realise that the keys on the desk have the moon chain you mentioned - or, you are waiting to say it yourself. You are watching the rain trail down your window. In October you get a halo headband tangled in your hair you are sipping a vampire themed cocktail that tastes like acetone you rip your heels off and you go home early and do laundry at 2am and you are waiting for the courage to tell Fleur you don’t like clubbing - or, you are waiting for her to ask where you are. In October you are many things / a good student a dancer a painter an angel a big sister an alarm clock you are nocturnal and a lucid dreamer and confused about your sexuality / and it’s still October but it’s not because it’s November now and you are still Junie but not because you don’t know who Junie is. It’s November, it’s September October November December. It’s 2016 2017 2018 2019. You are fragments and you don’t know if you are a kaleidoscope or shattered glass.
And here's first year Tomas being like I Moved Countries For University And All I Got Was Homesickness And A Crush On My Flatmate And Resurging Autistic Symptoms And This Lousy T Shirt (cw: vomit mention, injection mention, parental death mention)
Kristen is seven months younger and five inches taller than you. He’s the last flatmate you met and the only one you talk to beyond kitchen greetings and passive aggressive texts about dirty dishes. He is too quiet and too loud and not the type of person you befriend. The first night, he lost Ring of Fire and downed the concoction of Echo Falls, Dark Fruits, Jack Daniels and coke, vodka and lemonade alongside a cigarette and said he’d let God figure out the rest. He held your hair back when you threw up amaretto and held onto your knee when you first self-injected testosterone. He taught you Yorkshire dialect and you pretended to understand the Yorkshire dialect. He told you he got diagnosed at four and you told him you didn’t get past the first assessment but sometimes you flick the bathroom light on and it’s fire: the orange on the orange towel is louder, the white on the white tiles are louder, the colours and light and sink and showerhead are prickly and all you can do is blink and breathe until it fizzles out. You reminded him to take his meds and asked if you were weak for wanting to drop out and hop on the first Eurostar to Rotterdam. He reminded you to take off your binder and asked if he was robotic for not grieving his mother. You spent inky nights on the kitchen floor, counting the dead flies in the lights and scooping crumbly coconut ice cream out of a maker you got for half price in TK Maxx. You spent dusk-dusted afternoons at the global street food markets, at the vegan markets. Spent student loans on raspberry lemonade in recycled cups, veggie burgers in beetroot buns, got him hooked on poffertjes and advocaat and could’ve cried when the vendor spoke to you in Dutch. Sometimes you didn’t buy anything. Just liked hovering at stalls ambered with fairy lights, writing down Etsy stores on your notes app; just liked Kristen’s impulse to trek forty minutes into the city for a market he didn’t know existed until five minutes before; just liked how he always invited only you, cancelling your other plans last minute, the feeling of being ambushed; just liked how he stopped to take photos of dogs and the sunset; just liked how he looked haloed under lampposts waiting for Ubers, golden on golden.
This is also nearing creative nonfiction because Sheffield truly is a haven for just. vegan markets and cafes lol! I experimented with veganism there and never struggled to find something and at this point I call myself a fake vegan because it's too easy to be vegan in Sheffield and too difficult to be vegan in my actual hometown. And the global street food markets!!! SO GOOD! I miss pre pandemic days
nocturne for the holy ;
Giving her a little shout out because she does exist actually! I've figured out a really good system for working on two novels at a time, so my plan is maybe to start properly on this after I finish either RR or LCOMS. Idk I got 3 novels to pick from haha oops! I did do some free drafting back in April though and found it recently and I Like It! And I edited it so it counts as Something I Did This Month :) Also have decided that I loathe this working title <3 Okay see you with an update for this novel in like a year, sorry for the absolute zero context for this excerpt hehe
The morning I was due back, I hadn’t yet decided that this would be my last visit. I wandered between rooms like an overstayed guest, like I didn’t know which crockery lived in which cabinet and which bedroom had the best view of the overlapped hills. Dad would wake for his run in an hour, plastered to his twenty-year-old routine. Mum would pretend to be asleep until breakfast. Until then, it was myself and the house, hazed by sleepy sunrise. Downstairs. The peeling paisley wallpaper in the lounge, the lilies in the middle of the kitchen table, the vases of candy floss pink peonies wilting on every windowsill, the desolate double swing-set in the garden. The mist-clogged mornings. I stood outside in my dressing-gown until my fingertips felt numb. Upstairs. The sage coloured bathroom. The bathtub I’d laze in with my clothes on and no water because it was the quietest room in the house. The dusty dance trophies on the top of my wardrobe. Wine-flushed Jeanette in my teenage bedroom. The stale grey mum painted my teenage bedroom after I moved out. Minus their room, I stalked the layout of the house three times before settling back into bed - teenage Nora’s bed. Nora who cared for peonies and pushed her brother on the swing set and flung her ceramic ballerina at the wall and jogged with her father and collected wine bottles and acorns and kisses from girls who were supposed to visit for dance practice. Before I left, I’d have cycled each room another three times. And in every room he was there, hovered in the corner like black mould.
love this update bc it's like i've got my third person, my second person, my first person! collecting all the POVs like chaos emeralds :)
eulogy for our burnings ;
-looks away-
girl help I did it AGAIN!!!! Apparently Camp Nano is just the perfect time for me to get novel ideas. I made this post specifically to talk a bit about this because I have no idea when I'll draft it but it's certainly not soon. This is not me trying to doubt my own skill but I feel like I am not in the place I'd like to be as a writer to tackle this project with the zest it needs, however I am v excited by the prospect of it! Don't know how I feel about the working title bc I'm like "that doesn't sound right but I don't know enough about this wip to dispute it" but the only purpose my working titles serve is to sound pretty lol! But here's the tea:
1991, UK.
2nd person present + past. Very flexible form. I can't decipher how yet but I'm feeling interviews, newspaper articles, receipts, grocery store lists weaved with actual narrative, that kinda vibe.
Best summary is we follow our nameless narrator, a stealth trans man, as he becomes unhealthily obsessed with a man who "hires" him to photograph the buildings he burns
Very,,, isolated? Minimal settings, minimal characters, minimal prose etc. Almost claustrophobic
There's basically only two characters and they are probably the most morally deplorable, indefensible characters I've created which just means most of you are gonna LOVE this /lh I do too I do too
Only comp title I can give is it has the vibes/tone of Boy Parts by Eliza Clark (just with none of the nsfw content lol if you've read the book you know what I'm talking about) (also that book is great for morally deplorable women protagonists but omg look up the content warnings because it caught me off guard! enjoyed it tho gave it 4 stars)
The pinterest board is the best visualisation of the Vibes also follow me on pinterest lol
And that's all I've got today! A bigger Life Cycle of Massive Stars update coming in the next few weeks. Might do a proper intro post for Eulogy For Our Burnings but idk!!! It's a surprise :) Thank you for reading this far!

Hi are you still accepting prompts? if you do here’s one: Hayes doing something special for Meredith’s birthday.. No pressure though take your time writing you are such a great writer💕
Celebrate - Merhayes
Thank you so much, that means the world! Hope you enjoy x
Meredith Grey had never been one to celebrate her birthday. Ellis had never bothered with birthday parties for her little girl, the day was never made a fuss out of. By the time Meredith had moved out and one to college, she didn’t see the point in celebrating it. It was only after meeting Derek that her own birthday began to have special memories attached to it. He’d pestered her for months about when her birthday was and was mortified when she at last told him and had found out that he was two months late. The date was now permanently etched into his brain and he made sure that regardless of how lowkey the celebration might be, Meredith would always celebrate another turn around the Sun. Ferry boats, dinners and long drives had become the tradition and Meredith found herself looking forward to it.
Since her husband’s passing though, Meredith had stopped bothering again. Whilst she made sure she went all out for her kids, she would stop her sisters and friends from doing anything that resembled celebration for her. Maggie had put her foot down and yelled when Meredith tried not to accept the present that’d been gifted to her though. Her kids would bake her a cake with the help of their aunt’s, with homemade cards and presents and Meredith thought it was perfect. That was all she needed for her birthday. That and a good surgery.
After six months of dating Meredith and having celebratedhis own birthday with her, Cormac was beginning to get curious as to when Meredith’s was. When he had asked her once before she just laughed it off, saying that he would have to find out himself. So, he’d een on a hunt to figure it out. It seemed that Meredith had briefed the entire hospital staff on not letting him know her birthday.
Hie’d asked both Amelia and Maggie multiple times but neither of them would let up. Amelia seemed to enjoy watching Cormac’s torture over not knowing the date whlst Maggie seemed pained that she couldn’t say anything, reminding Cormac every time he asked that she was not willing to face her sister’s wrath .
Cormac and Maggie were stoof across each other in the OR when he tried one more time. “You know, I wouldn’t let her find out that you told me…”
Maggie knew exactly what he was on about without having to ask. She just shook her head as she continued to work. “I’m the first person Meredith would come to if she found out that you knew. She knows that I’m terrible at keeping secrets. Remember when you two told me you were dating.”
It had be pure tiorture for Maggie not to say anything to anyone else. She was fit to burst with happiness for her sister but she hadn’t been allowed to say a word for three months. She’d spent way too much time ranting to Ameliia about why she wasn’t able to understand the reason that Cormac and Meredith wasnted to keep their relationship a secret. When the couple had finally told everyone, Maggie had felt a weight lift off of her shoulders and Meredith wsa pleasantly surprised at how well her sister was actually able to keep a secret.
“Why are you so desperate to know about her birthday, anyway?”
Cormac gave her a flat look, “She’s my girlfriend, Pierce. I feel like it’s something that I should know.”
“It’s not like you’re going to be able to do anything with the information. You know that she doesn’t like to celebrate.”
Cormac gave her a knowing look, “That’s because you’ve always given her an option.”
After a touch-and-go surgery, Cormac headed up to his office to grab some files before a consult. As he stepped into room, he felt shoe slid against something on the floor. Not the usual grip the carpet would give him. Looking down, he saw a small sheet of paper. As he picked it up to take it to the bin he saw some writing on it.
‘September 19th but I didn’t tell you -M’
Cormac smiled, he owed Maggie big time. Making a mental note of the date, Cormac knew it wasn’t one that he would forget anytime soon, he scrunched up the paper and tossed it into the bin. Plans began to form in his mind as he went about his day. He had two weeks and that was more than enough.
***
When September 19th rolled around, Meredith was treated to breakfast in bed courtesy of her kids with a side of birthday cake. Meredith arched a brow at the cake and looked at Amelia who just shrugged.
“It’s your birthday, you can have cake at 7am!” She defended quickly as the kids crawled up on the bed next to Meredith.
After opening her cards and presents and sending the kids off to school, Mer headed straight to the hospital. She had a whipple at 9 AM that she was looking forward and a fully booked day of surgeries after that. There was nothing more that she could have wanted for the day.
The entire day had gone by and Meredith thought it was strange that she hadn’t even caught a glimpse of her boyfriend. Even on their most busy days, they would end up finding time to at least have a coffee together but he hadn’t even messaged her. A younger Meredith would have worried that something had gone wrong, that he was angry with her for some unknown reason but these days, she was able to be a little more rational, if not completely. He must just be busy with consults and surgeries, or maybe the boys had something on that had slipped her mind when he mentioned it. Whilst Cormac didn’t know it was her birthday and she wasn’t planning on celebrating, it would have been nice to see him for a minute.
After getting changed back into her street clothes and grabbing her bag, Meredith made her way out of the hospital, ready to get home. She was a few steps away from her car when she felt a arm slip around her waist and a kiss pressed onto her temple.
“Sorry I haven’t had a chance to see you today,” Cormac’s Irish lilt immediately ebbed away any tiredness she had been feeling as she leaned into his side. “Forgot I had a meeting with Bailey this morning and then had back-to-back surgeries.”
Meredith took a second to breath in familiar scent of her boyfriend. It never failed to make her feel safe. “Was everything okay?”
“Mostly, got a 10-year-old boy in the ICU right now but Schmitt will page me if anything happens.”
Meredith suddenly realised that during the course of the conversation, Cormac had veered them away from her car. “Uh, my car is back there.”
Cormac have a light squeeze to her waist, “I know but I haven’t had a chance to see you today so let me take you home.”
“My car though…” She trailed off, not really bothering to put up a fight. Meredith had missed him wasn’t going to say no to being able to spend a little time with him on the drive home.
“I’ll pick you up tomorrow and you can take it home after your shift.”
“As long as you don’t mind…”
Cormac rolled his eyes at her, smiling, “I wouldn’t offer if I did, come on.”
As Cormac drove away from the hospital, Meredith leaned her head back against the headrest and closed her eyes for a minute. She slowly opened them as she felt Cormac’s hand rest on her thigh and gave him a smile.
“Wait, where are we going?” Meredith looked out the window to realise that this wasn’t the usual route home.
Cormac grinned at her quickly before looking back at the road, “Just thought we would take a detour.”
“A detour where?” She asked, slightly sceptical.
When Cormac didn’t reply, she decided to continue pressing for answers. “You know I have kids at home? Alone, right now?”
“Well, I know that’s a lie because I saw Winston before he left two hours ago who said he was going to your house to keep an eye on the kids.”
“Hmm…” Meredith both admired and hated how Cormac had an answer for everything. It was infuriating at the best of times but he was one of the only people she knew that could match her toe-for-toe.
After a while, Meredith saw that they were out of the city limits. “You know, if you don’t want to be with you just have to say, no need to drive me into the middle of nowhere to kill me and dump the body.”
“Oh ha ha,” Cormac laughed drily, “Like you would ever make it easy for me to kill you anyway….”
Meredith smirked at him, a wicked glint in her eye, “As long as you know.”
The car had now left the main road, and trundled along a dirt road, the only source of light coming from the headlights of the car. Meredith had no clue where they were or what was going on.
“Seriously, Cormac, where are we going?”
“Seriously, Meredith,” he jokingly mocked, “Can you be quiet?”
“Fine,” she muttered, crossing her arms over her chest.
It wasn’t later when Cormac turned the car engine off and turned to Meredith. “Come on,” he jumped out of the car and jogged over to her side to open the door.
Taking his hand to step out, she looked around. “Whe-“
“Don’t even finish that sentence,” He grinned at her, stopping Meredith before she had the chance to say anything else. “Just trust me.”
Meredith let Cormac take her hand and guide her. She wasn’t entirely sure how he could even tell where he was going in the dark.
“Are you taking me up a hill?”
Her question found no answer and all that there was left for her to do was to huff out a breath and follow Cormac. Eventually she saw some light up at the top of the hill and squinted, trying to make out what was going on. When they were finally close enough to make out what was going on, Meredith stopped in her track to take everything in. Trees were sparsely dotted around with fairy lights hanging from all of them. In the middle was a black pickup truck. The bed of it was covered with pillows and blankets with a picnic basket nested in the middle. Stretched between two trees was a canvas sheet, projected on it were the opening credits for ‘Maid in Manhattan’, one of the few movies that Meredith was able to time and time again.
“What is all this?” She turned to look at Cormac who had a sheepish look on his face.
“Happy birthday, Meredith,” his voice was a gentle whisper.
“You did this for my birthday?”
“Look, I know you don’t like celebrating it and I know you really didn’t want me to know but,” Cormac rubbed the top of his head, “You’ve survived so much, Meredith Grey, and that deserves to be celebrated. I deserve to have the chance to celebrate you. So, you can’t yell at me about this.”
Meredith stepped towards him, wrapping her arms around her neck, “How can I argue with that?” She grinned at him before pulling him in for a kiss.

Edmund Pevensie x Female Reader
Quick Summary: The story is set in Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Y/N has been chosen to be a part of the crew, however she doesn’t feel like people respect her (other than Caspian). Then, she meets Edmund and Lucy and things start to change.
Word count: 3887
When I had been chosen to be part of the crew on the Dawn Treader, I had been ecstatic. But now, I could not be more bored. It was extremely difficult being the only girl, especially when all the “harder” jobs had been given to the men. The only good part was being one of the few people Caspain truly trusted. He let me speak in all the meetings, and trusted me with the more secret information. However, he was the king which meant he didn’t have time to notice how the rest of the crew treated me when he wasn’t around. It wasn’t just the fact that I was a girl. It was that I was younger, and had climbed the ranks faster than most. It made a lot of people mad. A few had even questioned my skills, claiming that the only reason I was on this trip was because Caspian fancied me. That could not be further than the truth. I earned this spot and I knew that. Now, I just needed to show everyone else.
Sounds of shouting suddenly interrupted my train of thought, and I rushed out of my small cabin and up the stairs to see what the commotion was. Everyone seemed to be crowded around one edge of the ship. I heard grunts and sighs as I shoved my way to the front of the group, gasping when I saw Caspian in the water with 3 other people and couple of the crew. Caspian grabbed onto the platform lowered to him, his arm around a girl who looked similar to my age. I rushed to meet them, grabbing a couple blankets from a small bin on my way. I handed them to Caspian and he smiled at me and handed one to the girl. The girl took the blanket and held her hand out to me, “Hello! I’m Lucy.”
I smiled and shook her hand. “I’m Y/N. It’s nice to meet you.” Lucy and Caspian stepped off the platform together and I took a couple steps back to allow them some room. “That was thrilling!” I heard Lucy say.
Caspian was asking her how she ended up in the water when someone shouted his name. We all turned to see who it was and I lost my breath as he came into view. He was striking. Even soaking wet, I could tell that he was the most beautiful boy I’d ever seen. His dark hair and gorgeous eyes made me feel weak in the knees and I took a shaky step back to lean on the railing. Caspian walked over to greet him, wrapping another blanket around his shoulders. I shook my head, urging myself to get rid of these thoughts. Nobody else around here respected me. Why would this boy be any different? Still I couldn’t stop my eyes from following him as he walked past me, overhearing bits of their conversation.
“Didn’t you call for us?” Lucy asked, her voice laced with confusion and excitement. I could almost hear the smile in her voice.
Caspian shook his head, and the boy shrugged in return saying he was just glad to back. Back? I thought, He had been here before?
Again my thoughts (and my eavesdropping) were interrupted by the last member of their group being brought aboard the shipping and screaming like he was being murdered and we were doing nothing to stop it. I stood up straight so that I could see better and watched him flop across the deck, screaming the whole time. The crew laughed as he continued to scream and Reepicheep tried to calm him down.
“Perhaps we could throw him back?” Reepicheep suggested. I smiled at the joke and watched Lucy shove the boy she was with as he seemed to consider it. “Edumund!” She shouted. Ah, so that was his name. It was almost as he pretty as he was. Did I really just think that? Wait, why do those names sound familiar?
“Men!” Caspian shouted, and we all made our way to be in front of Caspian as he stepped up onto a small raised platform. “Behold our castaways! Edmund the Just and Lucy the Valiant, High King and Queen of Narnia.” My eyes widened a fraction and I remembered exactly who they were. These were 2 of the kings and queens of old. Everyone began to kneel and I quickly followed suit. I raised my eyes just a fraction, and saw the pair smiling at each other. They seemed genuinely happy to be back in Narnia. “Alright everyone, it’s time for a meeting! Captain Drinian and Y/N, please join me. Everyone else, back to work.”
I quickly stood and followed Caspian and the others to the Captain’s quarters. My heart swelled, happy to be reminded that Caspian truly did trust me and want me here. However, I knew it would only last a short time during the meeting and then I would return back to my quarters to read or sew. I was a horrible sewer, however, the rest of the crew refused to acknowledge this fact simply because they didn’t want to give me any other job. My heart longed to chart maps or help sail. I wondered if things would change now that Lucy- Queen Lucy- was on board.
I walked into the meeting and stood behind the Captain in the small room to make room for Lucy and Edmund. Caspian laid out a map, explaining what he had accomplished these past three years and what our current mission was- to find the Seven Lost Lords who fled to the Lone Islands and vanished.
“What’s East of the Lone Islands?” Lucy asked. I smiled, knowing what the Captain was about to say.
“Uncharted waters,” He explained. “Things you could barely imagine. Tales of sea serpents and worse.”
Edmund and Caspian both laughed, and Caspian said that was all he had to share with us for right now. We left the room quickly, the Captain returning to work and Lucy saying she wanted to go check out their room. I bumped into Edmund on my way out, and muttered a quick apology before rushing to my small room in the corner of the ship. I blushed at the thought of Edmund’s hand accidentally brushing my side. I let this thought linger for only a moment before I remembered it was completely inappropriate. I grabbed the small basket full of clothes from outside my door that the crew had left there and grabbed my sewing kit. I sighed, someday I’m going to do more than sew, so much more.
--
The next day began with even more excitement. It seemed that Lucy and Edmund’s arrival had livened up the crew and after weeks of being at sea, everyone was starting to get excited again. I laughed as Caspian and Edmund clashed swords in a friendly fight. They were fairly evenly matched and the fight ended in a tie, with each of their swords against the others chest. Everyone cheered as the match came to an end and the Captain shouted at everyone to get back to work. I sighed, and took a large breath of fresh air before I had to return to my stuffy room. I turned to go, but someone caught at my arm and I quickly looked to see who it was. “Hold on Y/N,” said Caspian who motioned for me to follow him before letting go of my own. I allowed myself a small sigh of relief and followed him over to where Lucy, Edmund, and their odd cousin were talking.
Well, Lucy and Edmund were talking. Eustace was shouting again about how we had kidnapped him and held him against his will. “Kidnapping is it? Funny, I thought we saved your life.” Caspian smirked and Eustace bumped into him, still on a rant. “You held me against my will!” I rolled my eyes as I drowned him out, my attention switching to Edmund who was even more stunning than he was yesterday. I’m not sure how it was possible, but with the button up and fancy attire being switched out for some looser clothes, he was transformed.
I was stirred out of my thoughts by someone shouting. “Land Ho!” I cleared my throat and followed Caspian as he rushed up to the top deck to get a closer look at the horizon. We had finally come across the Lone Islands and it was hard not be excited about that. “Strange,” Caspian remarked. “Not a Narnian flag in sight.” “But the Lone Islands have always been Narnia’s.” Replied Edmund, taking a turn to look through the telescope. I waited for him to pass it to me, but he handed it back to the Captain instead who closed it and returned it to its place. Ah, so he’s just like the others. And here I thought he might be different because of his sister. “That’s suspicious. We should be careful.” I added. Caspian nodded, and I smiled. At least I had one person on my side.
Edmund finally spared me a glance, though it barely lasted for even a second. “I say we prepare a landing party. Drinian?”
Drinian looked at Caspian before awkwardly turning back to Edmund. “Forgive me Your Majesty, but the chain of command starts with King Caspian on this ship.”
I smirked as Edmund just nodded. He looked shocked, and I couldn’t say I wasn’t a little glad. Now he too knew how it felt to be brushed off. “We’ll use longboats.” Instructed Caspian, “Drinian, pick some men to come ashore. Y/N, you’ll come too.” My heart fluttered. “Really?” I asked in astonishment. I was finally going to get a chance to prove myself. Caspian looked confused at my reaction. “Of course. How could I leave one of my best fighters behind?”
A few minutes later I was in a longboat, rowing towards the island. A couple men spared me odd glances, as if wondering why on Earth a girl who’s only job on this ship was to sew their clothes was there. But, Lucy smiled at me and I ignored them, happy to finally have someone else on my side. We reached the edge of the island and stepped out of the boat. Well, most of us anyway. Eustace was having some trouble and Reepicheep thought the best way to help was by shouting at him. Lucy rolled her eyes and shouted, catching everyone’s attention, “Listen! Where is everyone?”
We all stopped to do as she said and realized what she was saying. There was absolutely no one in sight. No one in the streets or making noise anywhere. This was starting to get even weirder. We walked through the streets, as the town remained silent save for a few birds squawking in the distance. Suddenly, a loud bell rang from the church a little ways down the street. Caspian instructed Reepicheep to stay with Drinian’s men while Eustace, Lucy, Edmund, Caspian, and I continued on, instructing him to send a party if we weren’t back by dawn.
We headed towards the church, Eustace lagging behind. I rolled my eyes as he ran toward us telling us we should just turn back. Edmund looked at him, unsure of what to do with him. “Do you want to come here and... guard something?” He asked. I stifled a laugh as he said yes, saying something about what a logical idea that was. Caspian reluctantly handed him one of his daggers and the four of us went inside the old church, leaving Eustace behind. It was dark inside the church and it looked like no one had been there in quite some time.
We searched the building until Edmund shouted that he found something. We all went over to him, eager to see what he had found. It appeared to be a book full of names. “Who are all these people?” Lucy asked. “And why have they been crossed out?” Edmund added. We looked to Caspian, who had a grave expression on his face. “Slave traders.”
Suddenly, the church bells began to ring again. Men began to appear from all over, sliding on ropes with weapons in their hand. “Watch out!” I heard Caspian shout. I immediately pulled out my sword, jumping in front of Edmund before a man with a gross, long beard could hit him in the back. I knocked him out quickly and Edmund looked at me in shock. “Thanks.” He said. I rolled my eyes, and kept fighting.
For a while it seemed like we were winning until- “Aaaaaah!” A loud scream rang through the room and we all turned to see what had happened. A man had walked through the door, Caspian’s knife held against Eustace’s throat. “Unless you wanna hear this one scream like a girl again, I’d say you should drop your weapons.” Lucy dropped hers immediately, while I looked to Caspian to follow his lead.
“NOW!” The man screamed again. Reluctantly, the said of us put down our weapons as well. The men around us quickly chained us up, and without weapons fighting back seemed useless. “Get off me!” I heard Lucy scream. I struggled as two men held me down, putting chains around my wrist. The man tossed Eustace to one of the other men, and slowly walked towards Lucy. “This one and the other boy, take to the market.” Next, he made his way towards me. “And what do we have here?” He raked his finger across my face and I cringed at his touch, spitting in his face. He immediately pulled back, anger pulling at his features. “Take her to the dungeon! Those two as well!” He ordered, gesturing at Edmund and Caspian.
“Listen to me!” Shouted Caspian, “I am your king!” They ignored him and quickly we were hauled off, Edmund and Lucy shouting to each other the whole time. Finally, one of the men got sick of it and punched Edmund in the face, knocking him out.
--
They threw us into two cells, one for Caspian and one for Edmund and me, with nothing but walls and a small bucket of water. Edmund woke up shortly after and nearly scared me to death when he jumped up suddenly. “Where are we?” He demanded. “Calm down.” I said, “We’re in the dungeons. Caspian has been trying to get out, but so far it hasn’t worked. Will you sit down? You’re hurt.” He huffed, but sat down anyway. “Look, your forehead is bleeding.” I said.
“So? I’m not some weakling who can’t take a hit.” I rolled my eyes, “Fine, then you can deal with your wound yourself!” I yelled, refusing to cry. This was the worst situation I’d been in so far and all I had wanted to do was help him. He sighed and I watched him put his head in his hands, immediately pulling it back when he accidentally touched his wound. He licked his lips, then looked at me sheepishly. “Okay... I”m sorry. Can you help me?”
I nodded and slowly walked over to him. I ripped a piece off my sleeve and dipped into the bucket with water. I gently touched it to his head and he stiffened for a minute before relaxing. I cleaned it as best as I could until the bleeding stopped. “There. That should do until we get back to the ship.” I said. He let out a small smile and a thank you. As he looked into my eyes, I found it hard to look away. They were so beautiful and- Bang!
I jumped as Caspian began banging on his window with a rock he had found. Thanks for ruining the moment Caspian. I took a step back from Edmund and his mesmerizing eyes and tried to refocus on the situation. We were trapped and we needed to get out. “It’s hopeless,” We heard a voice say from the shadows of Caspian’s cell. “You’ll never get out.” It said again. “Who’s there?” said Edmund, standing up again.
Caspian walked over to see who it was, “Lord Bern?” I gasped. We had found one of the Seven Lost Lords? In a dungeon? Suddenly, we heard screaming from outside, and I changed my focus as Edmund looked out the window in our cell. “What’s happening?” I asked. “I’m not sure.” He responded.
“Where are they taking them?” Asked Caspian, looking out his own window. “Keep watching.” Replied Lord Bern. The boys watched until whatever was happening seemed to be over. Then, he began to explain what it was. He talking about something called The Mist, how it had appeared and nobody knew what it was. “If they don’t sell you to the slave traders,” he said, “You’re likely to be fed to The Mist.” “We have to find Lucy!” said Edmund, “Before it’s too late.”
--
I’m not sure how long we were there before someone finally came to get us. They led us out of the dungeon, up the stairs, and out onto a courtyard. My eyes took a minute to adjust to the light before I realized there was a fight going on. It was Drinian and the rest of the men! We realized this was our chance to escape and used the distraction to our advantage. We started fighting back immediately and quickly took down the guards, using their keys to take off our chains. Once the people in the village realized we were winning, they joined us in our fight as well. We walked out of the village victorious and even had another man join us on our journey.
The crew welcomed us back with a large dinner, and a small celebration after. Almost all of the men walked up to Edmund and Caspian, congratulating them and telling them what fine swordsmen they were. I sat at a table by myself in the back of the room, still unrecognized. I reminded myself recognition wasn’t why I was here. It was to help people. However, I couldn’t help feel a bit angry at everyone for not even admitting that I was actually useful. “Hey.” I looked up, hoping to see Edmund, but rolled my eyes when I realized it was only John. “What do you want?” I asked. He was a few years older than I was, about to turn 20 in 6 months. We had lived in the same village when we were little, but I couldn’t stand him. “Just wanted to congratulate you.” I narrowed my eyes at him. “Really? You wanted to congratulate me?” It seemed too good to be true. “Oh yeah,” He said, “Congratulations on doing such a bad job on the mission that nobody even noticed you were there.” I felt my anger rising. I quickly stood up and shoved him away from me. He just laughed, making me even angrier. I stormed off, more hurt than ever, and slammed my door shut when I got back to my room.
A couple minutes later I heard a knock at my door. No way. If John came all this way just to tease me some more I- “What?” I shouted when I opened my door. However, I paled when I realized it wasn’t John, but Edmund. He raised his eyebrows and threw his hands up in mock surrender. “I just came to talk.” I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out. Instead, I just gestured for him to come in, shutting the door behind him. Once I had gathered my courage, I turned to look at him. “I’m really sorry Your Majesty, I thought you were someone else.” He cringed, “Please don’t call me Your Majesty. Edmund is just fine.”
I smiled, “Alright. What did you want to talk to me about?” He rubbed his hand behind his neck, and smiled shyly. Okay, it’s fine. Keep it together Y/N. Just a cute boy, sitting in your room... who also happens to be a king. “Well, I wanted to say thank you for earlier.” He said. I smiled, “You already said thank you.” He hesitated, “Well, I wanted to say thank you again. And to apologize.” I crinkled my face in confusion. “Apologize?” “Yes, well. I don’t think I’ve been very kind to you.” I said nothing and motioned for him to continue. “When I first arrived on the ship, you had nothing to me yet I ignored you. I’ve seen the way people treat you on the ship and instead of choosing to be better, I acted the same. For that, I truly am sorry.” I felt like my heart was going to burst out of my chest. How long had I known him? Maybe a day or two and already it felt like there was something pulling me to him. There was certainly no question that I was going to forgive him. However, I could probably tease him a little first.
“Well... I’m not sure I’m ready to forgive you yet.” I said. Clearly, he didn’t see that I was teasing because his face immediately fell and he stood to leave. “I don’t blame you, I wouldn’t forgive me either.”
“Edmund, wait.” I grabbed his arm without thinking to stop him from leaving and we were standing so close I could feel his breath. “Um... I just meant that I, uh.” Apparently I forgot how to speak. “Y/N...” He whispered and once again, I felt drawn to him. I felt myself moving closer until- “Y/N?” Edmund and I jumped apart as John poked his head into my room without knocking. I ran into the wall and cursed my small room. “Look I actually wanted to say-” He paused as he noticed Edmund. “What are you doing?” John asked. “Nothing! I mean- get out! Why would I want to talk to you?” I yelled. “No, it’s alright.” Said Edmund, “I should go anyway. I’ll see you later.” And with that, he was gone. I cursed John ever being born.
“What do you want John?” I asked, annoyance showing plainly on my face. He smirked, “I just wanted to say you hit like a girl.” I grabbed the nearest object to me, a pillow, and threw it at his face. He managed to shut the door just in time and the pillow hit the door harmlessly. I locked it behind him before sinking down to the floor. Was Edmund going to kiss me? No, that’s ridiculous. He barely knows me. Still, I couldn’t help thinking about it.
There was a knock on my door once more and I sighed, pulling myself up from the floor. If it was John again, I swear. I opened the door, and immediately my thoughts were put on hold as I caught sight of the most beautiful eyes I’d ever seen. “Y/N, I’m sorry I just couldn’t leave without doing this.” And then, his lips were on mine. Edmund was kissing me. And I was kissing him. Unbelievable. We broke apart slowly, like the world was moving in slow motion and we were the only two people in it. “Wow.” I said, and he laughed with relief. “Y/N, I kind of think you’re amazing and... I’d really like to get to know you better.” I smiled back at him, “I’d like that.”

Tumblr media
*****
The sun had fully risen and the house was bustling with activity, being only a few days away from Christmas meant that all members of the Weasley family were hurriedly returning home to help their mother with the holiday preparations. You were no different as you had only arrived yesterday, genuine smile lighting up as you entered the familiar, homey living room. And at the sight of your boyfriend, Percy, you wasted no time in taking his hand and letting him lead you up to your room for the week.
You were absolutely floored to be spending the holidays with your boyfriend’s family. You had visited the Weasley home a few times over the past two years, but this would be the longest and most meaningful stay.
Having decided the time had finally come to wrap all of the presents for the family, and after convincing Percy to join you, you made her way through the downstairs, collecting the paper, tape, and ribbon for the packaging.
Percy retrieved the gifts hidden in his childhood closet and laid them out along the bedroom floor once you had secured the door from any unwanted guests. You knew that, given the opportunity, any one of his siblings would test their luck at trying to peek at holiday gifts. It was a sort of tradition for them all.
The two of you set to work at organizing the massive pile of gifts. With such a large family, there was quite the collection of items to wrap. From small muggle trinkets from your trips into the larger cities to books and blankets, there was a little bit of everything spread around the room.
Laying the wrapping paper down onto the floor, you spoke up, “P, hand me the scissors please.” You held her hand out while holding the paper down with your other hand.
“I don’t see why we can’t just do this with magic.” Percy wondered aloud as he handed you the scissors.
“Because that takes the fun out of it. Wrapping gifts is all part of the process, it shows that even the easiest gifts to procure are still meaningful when you take the time to wrap them. I don’t know how the rest of your family does it, but this is how I want to do it.” You batted her eyes at your boyfriend, hoping he wouldn’t argue any further. “Okay now come over here and help me.”
With an exasperated sigh, he plopped onto the ground. He was not going to make this easy.
“Grab the green blanket for me, won’t you. Just behind you.” You gestured toward the fabric laid on the bed and he pulled it over and placed it onto the paper. You covered the blanket in the paper, cutting it to fit just right. “Hold your hand here while I attach it so it doesn’t come apart.”
Together, you both worked well to wrap the first gift. Percy added a small ribbon to the top and set the finished package aside. One down, too many to count left to go. But the company you kept with one another was sweet. Just the two of you, Percy let down his walls and his stiff demeanor he was so used to having while working in the Ministry.
You and Percy worked like a well-oiled machine to blow through the many presents still needing wrapped. And you had a solid routine going. You would cut the paper, he would position the gift perfectly in the center, he would hold the paper down while you used tape to secure it. Then he would hold the gift in place while you taped up each of the ends.
You had made it most of the way through the pile of gifts when you heard a call from downstairs. “Y/N!!” It was Ginny. You got up from the floor and peeked your head out of the door to see what you was needed for. “We’re going out for a few hours, do you want to come? It’s all the girls, Mum too. We didn’t want you to miss out. Plus you probably want a break from my brother.”
You turned to look behind you at the man still seated on the ground surrounded by gifts. “Percy, what do you say, do you think you could manage things here for a bit while I go out?”
“You mean do this by myself?” He looked at you as if he couldn’t believe you would trust him like that. “I can try, although I’m sure they won’t look nearly as nice as what we’ve already done.”
You walked over to him and kissed him on the head. “Darling, it’s for your family, it doesn’t have to be perfect. You’ll do fine. And I’ll be back in a few hours. If you’d prefer to wait, you can just put the gifts back in the closet and we can do them later. I love you.” You called back on your way out the door to join the girls downstairs.
*
Walking back into the Burrow after your girls day out, the room suddenly filled with laughter. The boys were seated around the fireplace, but you couldn’t find Percy anywhere. “Where’s Percy? Why isn’t he here with you?” You asked confusedly at the rest of them.
“He’s still upstairs I guess. Haven’t seen him since you both went up to wrap the gifts. And I must say, if you don’t want to waste your time with mine, I’ll just take it now and save you the effort.” George looked up and flashed his mischievous grin.
As you made your way to the stairwell to check on your boyfriend, you turned to address his brother, “thanks for the heads up George. I’ll make sure to throw your gift out to save us the effort.” You winked before trotting up the upstairs.
“That’s not what I said-” he began but left his words die out when he realized you were already gone. “She wouldn’t dare to throw them out.”
“No, but Percy might.” Ron quipped.
*
Knocking before opening, you slowly opened the bedroom door and your mouth fell open at the scene before you. When you finally spoke, you said each word slowly, “Percy, love, what happened here?”
In the middle of the room, Percy was leaned against the nearby bed, his head tilted backward in frustration. All around him lay scraps and balls of paper, rolled up tape, and knots of ribbons. It seemed as though a harsh storm had swept through.
“I couldn’t do it. I’m sorry” was all he said. His eyes were closed, afraid to open them to see the mess he had caused.
You, however, couldn’t suppress a giggle at the horrendous sight. “You know you could have waited for me.” You walked forward, stooping down to gather the garbage that littered the floor. Tossing them in the bin by the door, you gathered up all the wrapping materials and reorganized them while Percy remained stoic in his position by the bed.
“Why don’t you take a break and go downstairs. You’ve been up here all day,” you suggested. But he sat up and looked at you, a look of determination on his face.
“No, now that you’re back you can help me finish.” He immediately leaned forward to grab the paper once again, laying it out and placing the next gift on top. As he pulled the sides of the wrapping over the box, he pulled it just a bit too tight and one of the corners tore. He saw it, but the look on his face told you that nothing was going to stop him. He was moving so quickly and determinedly that you had no place to step in and help.
However, the harder he worked to cover the gift, the more the paper tore. It was all you could do not to laugh at his adorably desperate attempts. But he still hadn’t told you what to help with. He really could be so stubborn sometimes.
It wasn’t until he put the tape down and realized that the paper was horribly crooked and would never properly cover the present that he sent a frustrated scowl and grunt in the direction of the inanimate object in front of him. You took that as your cue to step in before he got any more worked up.
“Hey, hey, let me help you, yeah?” You covered his hands with your own, forcing him to stop and calm down a bit. He immediately settled, the feeling of your touch enough to bring him down when he gets stressed or overworked. Slowly, you slid his hands off of the top of the package and laid them in his lap. “You helped me with so many earlier, why don’t you let me handle the rest?” When he didn’t respond you coaxed him a bit more, “please, Percy? What if I asked you to go downstairs and make me a cup of tea while I finish?” You asked him sweetly, hoping that he would take the exchange.
Percy considered the offer and sighed before standing up. “I’ll have your tea ready when you come down. Thank you, dove.” Before leaving, he kissed you on the head just as you had done earlier.
You smiled to yourself as he left. Then you made quick work of the rest of the gifts and began carrying them downstairs to place near the tree. Once they were all in place, you joined Percy on the sofa and sipped your steaming cup of tea. When Percy looked away for a moment, you quickly placed a large bow on his head, causing him to turn back to look at you. “What is this?” He reached up to remove the bow and waited for your response.
“Well I told you I would wrap the rest of the gifts.” You took the bow back from him and planted it right on his chest. “And now I have.”
