all he wants to do is go home and nap but for some reason his mum dragged him and sua to some stuffy adult event and then abandoned them at a play table for kids 

and she’s standing to one side talking to Adults so he can’t even go bother her and ask her to take them home

i mean, he could, but he was also better brought up than that 

and so bin stands in a corner pouting, long abandoned by sua, who’s tottered off to talk to another girl at the end of the table

bin wondering how it is that his sister’s already managed to find new friends !!!! abandoning him already !! almost as if they weren’t siblings!!!!

bin sulking and sitting himself down at an empty spot at the table

there’s nothing to do and there are no friends bc his sister abandoned him and his mum didn’t even invite rocky so 

bin ??? alone in this world

dramatic!bin

there are ?? what looks like small containers of finger paints in front of him so he just pulls them towards him 

if there’s nobody here to entertain him he’ll just entertain himself, bin huffs

who needs friends when you have yourself !! 

cue bin dipping his fingers into the paint jars and swirling paint around a piece of paper

bin doodling yellow stars and blue stars and red stars

bin also splashing blue paint all over one side of his paper bc art right !

the boy next to him looking up and scowling at him

the boy: “you’re going to get it on my paper!!” >:(

bin frowning and tugging his paper further from the grump

them working in relative silence until the other guy leans over

the boy: “hey do you have purple?”

bin looking up and around the table bc nah he’s only had the three primary colours

the other guy pouting and staring at his unfinished piece

which frankly looks like a blob to bin, but who is he to judge what others call art! 

bin sighing and pulling another piece of paper over to them then dumping a blob of red on it 

bin sticking his finger in the small pot of blue paint then swirling it around the red spot

there he goes

purple ! 

a muddy purple, sure, but a purple all the same

he watches as the other boy’s face brightens and his lips curl up into a smile

huh 

a pretty smile, bin thinks, and smiles back

the boy, beaming: “thank!!!!” 

but also the boy leaning over and staring at bin’s paper

the boy: “is that the only shape you know?”

cue bin scowling bc no !! he knows other shapes !!!!!!

the boy: “well, can you draw a heart?”

bin flushing bc ofc he can !!!!!!!!!! 

just that

he’s forgotten 

what a heart looks like ? 

the boy, watching bin carefully: “don’t think you can,,,,,,,”

bin whining slightly 

the boy reaching over and grabbing bin’s pudgy hand in his own 

bin watching as the boy smooths bin’s palm out and dips his own finger into the pot of red and very carefully paints a heart onto bin’s palm

bin, brightening instantly: “i know what a heart is!!”

the boy looking up at where bin’s face is crinkled up into a smile 

you know the one

lord my heart is so weak for bin’s smile he could toss me off a bridge and i’d be ok if he were smiling through it

the boy beaming at bin, his hand still cradling bin’s: “yeah, but only cause i showed you!”

the boy: “what’s ur name?”

“i’m bin.”

“i’m eunwoo.”
