What is Life?

That’s a pretty ambitious question I’m tryna answer if I’m being honest, and I’m gonna look at this biologically and chemically, so if you thought this was a philosophical essay or me trying to be existential ( I do that enough at 2am ) and brooding, then I am sorry to disappoint your expectations and you can safely save yourself from my chaotic and mindless rantings and my incoherent and spontaneous rambling by scrolling away.

BUT!

If you want to venture down this dark hellhole with me while I answer questions about science and stuff, then feel free to read ahead. Warning, I am pretty chaotic as I want to unleash all my repressed feelings and behaviour on this site which I can’t do in real life cuz society and responsibility, while simultaneously doing something I enjoy which is science!

ANYWAYS!

So the plan is to explore the biochemical aspect of this, so we going to wind back all the way back to the supernova or whenever the Big Bang theory said things went spark, bang and boom!

(As you can see, I don’t care much about what physicists get up to. Biology and Chemistry is superior. I’m being sarcastic if you can’t see that)

And uhhhhh....I actually need to read stuff up before I go all smart and sciencey and try to answer this question..

Ah damn it, we can label this as me tryna set my goals...Goals? That’s highly presumptuous of me. I’m pretty sure that this question is gonna be one endless rabbit hole and whatever answer I come up with is just going to be...a concoction of scientific articles, complex theories and just general idiocy... Eh

Let’s just call this...an Introduction to what I aim to do.

Basically, I will try and answer a complicated scientific question which involves a lot fo thinking and reading, in the format of tumblr posts instead of like an essay because I want to go absolutely buck-wild with this.

why on earth is it so much easier to write half a dissertation’s worth of show/book analyses on tumblr than finishing a one page biochemistry assignment?

literally all i want right now is to get this done but all i'm doing in my mind is drafting up a long ass post where i analyse a book chapter for chapter, picking out the scenes that foreshadow things that the main character is only gonna realize later. it is a very ambitious post that i would need hours, that i don’t have, to write and yet is wouldn’t seem like half as much work as this goddamn biochemistry assignment.

i have been trying to do my assignment for two hours at this point. sometimes i wish i’d never signed up for this hell site, but it has consumed me with all i am. there is no escape. i will forever be trapped in an endless cycle of writing long, long posts barely anyone will ever read and refreshing my feed. even when i am not anywhere near my electronic devices, my head is constantly producing posts of various nature. shitposts, aesthetic posts, long & winded analyses, rants that no one can relate, whatever you can think of really-
