BIPOC-centered Fiction Writer server?
I really want to make a discord server where BIPOC fiction writers can talk and share stuff. No specific fandom, no limitation of writing style or themes and tropes, just a server where you can talk to, learn from and discover other BIPOC writers.
Even if its small, I might do it because there's so many people on here I never knew existed and their writing is amazing.

inspecting the contents of her coffee table, he asked, with his gaze intentionally noncommittal, "you don't want to be the centre of attention?"
"i don't want to be the centre of anything."
actually, she wanted to fall backwards onto one of her exotic rugs and disperse like a shadow.

I kinda wanna start a chill fabric arts collective for older BIPOC youth in my city (age 20-30). Just to hang online or in person and knit/sew/crochet/embroider/bead/weave! Parallel play! Chat about life!
The only knitting groups I know of are dominated by old(er) white women or is run specifically as a teen club.
(Side note: I’m sick of everyone forgetting to resource or give a shit about older youth. Mid-late 90s babies I love you and see you and we’re figuring out this adulting thing together.)

I hope it gets backed!! I just saw it last night and backed it as soon as I got back to my dorm <3 I love horror and being brown I don’t get to see a lot of myself in horror so this means a lot to me!!!
I’m with you! Thank you Kell-Eramis! I had the honor of contributing to the first DitM. This second book is a jaw-dropping continuation. Everyone has worked so hard!
Only a bit of time left, on the Kickstarter, but I believe it can happen!
The link once again to Sloane’s outstanding Bipoc Horror Anthology:

Practicing women of colour after learning of the Kooleen drama. Let’s get something straight:
1. no art style in the world is “unable” to represent any and all ethnicities unless you absolutely insist on same-face-syndrome.
2. your pastel colour palette is not “incompatible with Black characters”. Lots of Black girls love pastel fashion, and phenotype isn’t just colour.
3. “incorrect facial proportions” aren’t a thing. The triangle method is BS. Rihanna’s lips and chin stick out further than her nose, are you gonna tell her she’s anatomically incorrect..? God damn she’s gorgeous!
4. “but my aesthetic” just say you think certain ethnic features are ugly and go. You can draw whatever I want, but don’t “fix” ethnic faces using your racist little triangle or whatever. Alba Flores’ nose is perfect the way it is. Draw it like that or draw someone else.

FIGHT BACK! QUEERS AGAINST F4CISM!
Thanks for supporting my art work, I made this account as my art portafolio. Please do check it out if you'd like to give direct support!

Hey y’all! Alitsanosga here, as many of y’all know, I have been very active in the toki pona lately and I’ve really been loving the language and the community!
jan salinka-jen and I have come up with a way to encode toki pona in peyote stitch beadwork, and I’ll be making the proof of product!
However, beadwork supplies are….so expensive. So! I have made a ko-fi as well as a donation goal for this project that we have named sitelen kiwen.
You can find out more about materials cost breakdown on my latest ko-fi post, and read about sitelen kiwen on ma pona pi toki pona
If you donate $20 or more to the original goal, you may request a finished piece with 1-4 sentences encoded (depending on length) as long as you pay the cost of shipping.
I’m not charging for my time as of yet, I just want proof of product—but if I do decide to sell these I will likely have to charge higher than $20 just to factor in the time it takes to make them.
