Asked two of my friends to make Zelda OCs with me and we all ended up with Gerudos, though they came out pretty varied I think lol

Kosha is the shorty whose actually traveled outside of the desert before, being a big fan of swimming and fishing, but that was between BotW and TotK where she didn’t have to deal with monsters everywhere!

Lachoo is a racer and lover of sand seals, despite being slightly allergic and being pained by puns. She also loves making sand seal plushies. Her seal Bipp is her muse~

Calyza got cut off from Gerudo Town from the sandstorm and decided to use the time to travel Hyrule to find love. She has a very tenuous grip on what a Hylian looks like.

Good news for those in the tags of the last Gerudo Girls post - we’ve kept thinking about these doofuses and they’re really fun to draw~

1- Kosha’s very fond of Lurelin village and is excited to show the other gerudo more about fishing. Probably pissed as shit when she sees the state it’s in at the start of TotK. She just really likes swimming and water in general 2- Calyza’s tastes in voe continue to impress as a certain mailman has caught her eye~ (Forget Ganondorf, why has the Mailman not appeared in any games since Twilight Princess? Dude is glorious, and I was thrilled to give him a bit of a Hateno makeover) Unfortunately for her, he’s a rather busy man. She hasn’t even managed to get his name yet!

3- Lachoo loves racing zonai vehicles and, naturally, has built one to resemble a sandseal. Her bestie Bipp rides around in a custom made backpack whenever it’d be hard for her to get around on her flippers. Kosha and Calyza ride in the back, which is of course completely unsecured and a massive health hazard. Calyza’s gotten pretty good at running to catch up with the car

what is dark links opinion on guide/player? Love? Resentment for never guiding him? Hate? Desire? Does he feel like they are both in the same boat?

Hmm... complex, for sure. At the beginning of his existence, I don't think Dark Link really knew of/ thought about the Guide. If I remember correctly, his first in game appearance was in Ocarina of Time. Going by timeline though, I know that his first appearance was in Minish Cap/ Four Swords era. I think he may have been called Shadow Link in that? (Someone fact check me as I don't know much about Minish Cap/ Four Swords- let alone if that Dark Link is the same one as in OOT and Hyrule Warriors). In Ocarina of Time, he appears in the Water Temple and he and Link fight. During that fight he may have heard the Guide's voice as he was born from Link's inner darkness. Though, I don't think he thought much of it- at first.

When Dark Link was first born (? Materialized?) he was nothing more than the negativity that was within Link- which is how he's often categorized in the games. All that's on the brain is "Hate! Anger! Despair! Fight!". This state doesn't last, though. As time passes by and he gets the chance to observe, albeit from the shadows, he learns. As he learns, his character as well as mind complexes. This is very easily seen in how he acts and reacts in the LU comics. He's clearly thinking and scheming as well as attempting to retreat when his forces begin to lose rather than lashing out until the very end.

How he feels about the Guide changes along with him. When he first learns of them, he sees them as an enemy much like Link, Hylia, Zelda, and so on. As he begins to grow smarter and more of his own being, he does begin to feel envious and resentful. Envious of Link and resentful of the Guide. He's got traits from multiple Links yet he's received not a drop of love or care from anything. As he observes more and more, his stance on the Guide changes once more as he also sees them change. They grow less caring towards Hylia with every cycle and they also grow weaker. They get pushier with Link to worry about himself and that of which he cares about over the prophecy. No longer is the Guide the shining beacon of light they once were, and Dark Link plans to take advantage of it.

When the Guide dies, Dark Link is patient. One thing that's never faltered is the Guide's love and care towards all of the heroes they've watched over. When Dark Link begins to wreak havoc across time and space by creating portals, tearing the heroes from their own times, and tainting the land with black blood, he knows it won't be long until the Guide returns. So, when the Player comes into frame, Dark Link isn't puzzled for long. He can sense a sliver of the Guide in the Player. Although they may not be the same person, it's revealed that they have roughly the same level of knowledge and understanding that the Guide did.

To Dark Link, the Player is a chance. A chance to be something more than Dark Link. Given that he's made no attempt to sway from the darkness, he'll likely be no hero for them. Perhaps, though, he could sway them to his side and he'd finally have someone who did something more than stare at him with disgust or rage or indifference. Maybe he could cement himself into their shadow so, that no matter what, he'll never be alone again. The Player could also be used as a chance for revenge against all of the forces that have plagued him; Link, Zelda, Hylia, the Golden Three, and so on.

Or, if we're in the mood for some crack today, he could become the Player's personal, murderous guard dog. All in all, there are many ways that the relationship between the Guide/Player could be explored.
