My first completed project goes up for sale soon!

I am patiently but excitedly awaiting the completion of the cover I commissioned from Birdee Blake, while I continue to make my final sweep of edits and format the manuscript. It's an offbeat romance called A Tryst in the Greenery, a novella currently sitting at just under 35,000 words. I am SO EXCITED to finally be publishing something in my own capacity, and I hope you'll agree with my personal sentiment that it's a debut worth sticking around for. Here's a little teaser of what you can expect: *

"I slid through the gap between the couch and the loveseat to the sliding glass door that led to our patio, drawing back the thick beige curtain. The devil on my shoulder wanted to see this Antlerboy for himself. I could tell that the sun was shining somewhere, but from the low-hanging ceiling of the single-level apartment block, all I could see were thick gray clouds dumping hordes of white flakes onto the undeveloped world below. I squinted, combing over the legions of muddy decorations dotting the rowhouse lawn, down to the patchy line of drooping evergreen branches. From the warmth of my apartment, it was hard to tell what could be antlers and what were just tree limbs stripped bare by the winter air. I watched, willing my brain to focus solely on the patch of woods. Nothing moved through the thicket. I saw no shiny black eyes, the surest sign of deer apart from a prominent rack of horns, nor did I spot fur-covered arms pushing aside the pine-needled margins of the abyss to gaze also into me. I stared for a few more minutes, as if daring the apparition that had captured the attention of my neighborhood to reveal itself. What a refreshing change of pace it would be, were our town's very own cryptid to meet my eye on this dreary February."

* Spoiler alert: he's gonna kiss the cryptid. Also despite the name "Antlerboy" the cryptid isn't really a boy, didn't want to rev up a passionate community for nothing (it makes more sense if you read I promise, please don't tear me to shreds BL crowd I have nothing but respect and admiration for your craft)

The nights previous was almost forgotten, in the midst of an argument with Bryan, Brie had finally gathered the courage to leave. Packing her self and birdee a bag she’d fled in the midst of the night, boarding a red eye to Chicago. She’d made no mention to anyone, including her sister where she was heading. Hours passed before she found herself behind the wheel of a rental car pulling into the driveway she’d been so many times before. Gathering herself and the baby she walked to the door, a deep breath drawing in before knocking softly.
